Kit Wilson on How His “Toxic Masculinity” Character Won Over WWE Creative
WWE star Kit Wilson has shared how his controversial “toxic masculinity” persona caught the attention of the promotion’s creative team. He says the concept grew out of backstage collaboration and that creative embraced the character’s satirical edge and in-ring intensity, leading to an expanded presence on programming.
Wilson described the character’s development as a gradual, collaborative process—writers and producers tweaking the presentation and Wilson refining his delivery based on audience reaction. That ongoing partnership with creative has helped solidify the gimmick and appears to be positioning him for a larger role as the character continues to evolve.
