Layla Says She Dated Cody Rhodes Because She Knew He’d Be a Star
Former WWE Diva Layla told Sportshadow she began dating Cody Rhodes during their time in WWE because she recognized his star potential early on. She praised Rhodes’ drive and follow-through, saying she wouldn’t have pursued a relationship if she hadn’t believed in the ambitions he later achieved.
Rhodes’ ascent to main-event status wasn’t immediate, with years of growth on the indies, a run in AEW and a high-profile WWE return in 2022 cementing his position. After their split, Rhodes married Brandi Rhodes and the couple now share two children.
