Foreman Thatcher has a huge announcement tonight as the landscape here continues to evolve. You never know what opportunity might just open up. But what we do know is that Braxton Cole will be going one-on-one with Harlem Lewis tonight. As someone who’s faced both of them, all I can say is good luck. Harlem, I know you are waiting for the opportunity to face me again for this, but I can’t look too far past my title defense tonight against Tristan Angels, Mr. England.

“But y’know, you’ve earned this title opportunity. But what you’ve also earned is an ass whooping, courtesy of the champ. So uh, sorry not sorry, pretty boy.” Aaron Rourke is ready to shine like the diamond he is, but will he still have the gold to go with it? Or will there be a new order within Evolve?

Harlem Lewis VS Braxton Cole!

The Long Island Jackhammer and the Blue Chipper with the Silver Spoon both feel the other cost them the Evolve Championship in that Triple Threat, and now they fight to clear out space on the contender’s list. Will Harlem show what it is to grind for your success? Or will Braxton use the power of privilege to prevail?

Harlem doesn’t wait for Braxton, he CLOBBERS him at the ramp! The fans fire up as Harlem hammers away, SMACKS Braxton off the apron, then UPPERCUTS! The ref reprimands but Harlem pushes Braxton into the ring, only to then avoid Braxton’s elbow drop! Harlem then LARIATS Braxton down, and the ref finally rings the bell! Harlem runs back in, Braxton dodges and Harlem hits buckles! Braxton hits the JUMPING NECKBREAKER, then he pushes Harlem around. Braxton talks trash on how Harlem is street trash, but Harlem fires forearms! Braxton knees low, whips, but Harlem reverses to ELBOW!

Harlem scoops and SLAMS Braxton, ELBOW DROP and cover, TWO! Braxton survives and he wants a timeout. Harlem says this is his time, no one is getting in his way! Harlem storms up, but Braxton YANKS Harlem into buckles! Braxton then brings Harlem around for a SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Then LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Braxton snarls but he stomps Harlem. Harlem staggers to a corner but Braxton keeps on him with more stomps! The ref counts, Braxton backs off, only to go after Harlem again! The ref counts, Braxton stops at 4, and the fans taunt the “WEINER~!” Braxton says shut up, it’s winner!

Braxton runs up but Harlem ROCKS him! And CLUBS him! And repeat! Braxton pulls Harlem’s beard, then throat chops! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Braxton reels Harlem in. Harlem wrenches through, ducks a shot, and waistlocks. Braxton denies the O’Conner Roll by holding the ropes, but the ref counts. Braxton ELBOWS Harlem, then goes through the middle rope for a HOTSHOT! Then Braxton comes back to CLOBBER Harlem! Braxton suplexes for an X-PLEX! Cover, TWO! Harlem toughs it out but Braxton goes for an arm. Harlem resists, Braxton KICKS him, and he CLUBS away on the arm!

The fans boo Braxton but he steps over to HIP DROP the arm! Harlem clutches the elbow, goes to ropes, but Braxton stands him up for a hammerlock and BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Braxton keeps after the arm, not quite a Fujiwara, but he’s still pulling on the arm. The fans rally, Harlem fights up, and Harlem stands up to scoop and SIDEWALK SLAM! The fans cheer as both men rise up. Braxton runs up, Harlem BOOTS from the corner! Then he LARIATS! And LARIATS! Then dodge and JUMP KNEE! Braxton wobbles, but he grabs ropes! Harlem SLAPS the arms down then GERMAN SUPLEXES!

The fans fire up for Harlem and he storms up on Braxton. Braxton shoves Harlem away then bails out of the ring. The fans boo, but Harlem chases after Braxton to fire haymakers! Braxton fires back, the ring count climbs, and Harlem KNEES low! Harlem CLUBS Braxton but Braxton ELBOWS back! Braxton goes to the railing, Harlem storms up, and Braxton SMACKS Harlem with a chair!! The ref definitely saw that, that’s a disqualification!

Winner: Harlem Lewis, by disqualification

The fans boo but Braxton SMACKS Harlem again! It seems losing doesn’t matter, he just wants to hurt Harlem! The ref reprimands as Braxton stomps away, but here comes the special security! Braxton backs off while security helps Harlem stand, and they YANK the arm back into place! Then they usher Harlem out, but why? Are they at least gonna get him to medical?

Timothy Thatcher is in the office.

He’s apparently trying to figure out if two pieces of a broken pencil can still fit together. Then Tate Wilder walks in. Thatcher shakes hands with the Modern Day Cowboy and Tate brings up that Thatcher wanted to see him. The Foreman says yes, and he’ll just get to business. Tate’s done everything that’s been asked of him and then some here in Evolve. He beat Kam Hendrix, proved his worth, and Robert Stone wants him to be NXT full time! Kam, well, that’s besides the point. But Tate is working Tuesdays now! He’s earned it! Tate says that means everything to him. Evolve built him, from every match and every fight. It pushed him to another level.

The biggest thing was connecting with the fans. They have followed him since day one, and now they get to see him as a true superstar on NXT! Tate says gosh, what a wild ride. Indeed. They shake hands and Thatcher says for Tate to enjoy himself. Tate heads out, and Thatcher addresses the WWE Universe. The night is just starting, and he is finalizing some big news that he will announce right before the main event of Aaron Rourke VS Tristan Angels. The winner of that match is in for a huge opportunity. Now, let’s get back to work! Go on! What could this big move be for he purple ‘n’ silver brand?

Chazz “Starboy” Hall speaks.

“So you think you know Chazz ‘Starboy’ Hall? I mean, I think I made a pretty sweet first impression in Evolve. Maybe it’s the way I walk around, playing my little air guitar, or how I jump off the top rope with my death defying maneuvers. But I think I know what it really is. I think it’s the denim. Because when I put on that denim singlet, I become the Denim Dragon. And that means when thes traps come down, the dragon comes out. And it’s obvious that I’m not the biggest or strongest dude on the roster, but I can tell you now, I have the most heart, the most fighting spirit, and uh, I got the cutest smile. Just a few things that make me the most entertaining high-flyer on Evolve.

“And wrestling is not just something I love to do, it’s who I am. So I can promise you, when I step in that ring, you’ll be starstruck by the Starboy himself, Chazz Hall.” Starboy is ready to shine, but when and where will he get another golden opportunity?

Wendy Choo & Laynie Luck VS Nikkita Lyons & Sloane Jacobs!

Speaking of big opportunities, the big first defense for #ChampChoo and the biggest moment yet for the WWE ID Women’s Champion was ruined by the jealous, selfish, narcissistic #BigKatKita and her new little sidekick who wants to prove she can do more than level up. Will the champs put Lyons & Jacobs in their place? Or will Nikkita Multimedia and Notorious SJ snatch themselves a golden ticket?

We see Karmen Petrovic in the VIP Lounge, eager to see Lyons & Sloane humbled. The teams sort out and Laynie starts against Lyons. They circle, tie up, and go around. Laynie rolls Lyons up, ONE, and Lyons slips around to sunset flip. TWO, and Lyons wrenches to YANK away on Laynie’s arm. Laynie rolls, rolls, and handsprings free! Th fans cheer but Lyons is annoyed. Lyons kicks, Laynie ducks, but then Lyons BODY SHOTS! Lyons brings Laynie over, tags Sloane, then Lyons scoop SLAMS Laynie for Sloane to drop the leg, brother! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer but Slaone drags Laynie up to tag Lyons back in.

Lyons & Sloane double whip Laynie to DOUBLE ELBOW her down! Lyons covers, TWO! Lyons drags Laynie up, talks trash, but Laynie breaks free. Laynie ducks Lyons’ lariat to UP KICK! Laynie then UPPERCUTS Lyons in the corner, and holds Lyons in place as she tags Wendy. Wendy runs side to side and YAKUZA KICKS Lyons! Cover, TWO! Wendy keeps after Lyons, wrenches the arm and tags Laynie back in. They double whip, trip, and basement DROPKICK Lyons! Laynie then steps in for the ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Laynie headlocks Lyons, but Lyons powers up and out. Laynie ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl and RANA!

The fans fire up and Laynie runs up again, but Lyons THRUST KICKS! Lyons SMACKS Laynie off buckles, then sets up, but Laynie counters the corner hip drop with knees! Lyons flounders while Laynie goes to the apron, but Sloane runs up! Laynie cartwheels to dodge, then she SUPERKICKS Sloane down! Laynie then blocks Lyons’ kick, YANKS her down, and Wendy CANNONBALLS to wipe Sloane out again! The fans fire up for Laynie & Wendy as they get fired up, and Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns as Laynie runs and CROSSBODIES, but Lyons catches her! Lyons swings and THROWS Laynie away! The fans boo but Lyons talks smack. Lyons stalks Laynie to the ropes while the fans rally up, but Lyons has Laynie’s legs. Lyons puts Laynie under the ropes to SEESAW GUILLOTINE! Lyons stomps away on Laynie, backs off as the ref reprimands, then Lyons steps on Laynie. Lyons does her ballet then HIP DROPS! Tag to Sloane and Sloane whips, but Laynie reverses. Sloane breaks free, ROCKS Laynie, then scoops for the SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover, TWO! Laynie survives and the fans fire up again!

Sloane snarls as she CLUBS Laynie, drags her up, and CLUBS Laynie again. Sloane whips, runs up, but Laynie ELBOWS her away! Sloane comes back, blocks a boot, and LEG WHIPS Laynie down! Then Sloane dribbles Laynie off the mat! Sloane goes up, up, and blows a kiss before the ELBOW DROP on Laynie’s back! Cover, TWO! Laynie toughs it out again and Sloane is frustrated. The fans rally for Laynie but Sloane tags Lyons. They double whip Laynie to a corner, then Lyons sends Sloane in, but Laynie goes up and over! Laynie uses Sloane as a launchpad to RANA Lyons! The fans fire up but Sloane hurries to anchor Laynie!

Lyons gets up and BLASTS Wendy! But Laynie ENZIGIRIS Sloane, rolls Lyons up, TWO! Hot tag to Wendy! Sloane tags in but Wendy rallies with LARIATS! Then a BOOT for Lyons! Wendy whips, Sloane reverses, but Wendy reverses, hammerlocks, LARIATO! The fans fire up for Wendy, and she handsprings to forearm SMASH in the corner! Wendy goes side to side, YAKUZA KICK on Sloane! Wendy goes up, up, and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Sloane survives but Wendy drags her up. Sloane fights the clutch to CRAVAT SMASH Wendy! Tag to Lyons and she storms up on Wendy. Lyons whips Wendy into Sloane’s DEADLY NIGHTSHADE!

Sloane kicks Wendy to Lyons for the GERMAN SUPLEX! Kip up and cover, but Laynie breaks it! The fans fire up but Sloane storms up. Laynie TOSSES Sloane out first, Wendy kicks Lyons, and Laynie joins in! They DOUBLE- NO, Lyons slips free and Sloane sneaks a tag! Laynie ducks, Lyons’ HEEL KICK hits Wendy! Laynie ROCKS Lyons, then TOSSES her out! But Sloane DUMPS Laynie out! Sloane covers Wendy, and she wins for the team!

Winners: Nikkita Lyons & Sloane Jacobs, by pinfall

Lyons hit the knockout but Sloane gets the pin on the champ! Chuey Martinez is ringside to interview the winners, and says congrats to Sloane, that pin just earned her a title match next week! The fans are stunned to hear that, but Sloane says she told us all that she’d be right back where she belongs! Straight from WWE ID to fighting for the Evolve Women’s Championship! And she couldn’t have done it without her girl, Big Kat Kita! Their energies were just so aligned tonight! Right, girl? Lyons is so happy for Sloane. Go get it, girl. Yay~! They hug, but clearly Lyons is not that happy for Sloane. But will the redemption story come full circle for Sloane? Or will she end up taking a Dirt Nap?

Timothy Thatcher is in his office with Elijah Holyfield.

The Foreman says two orders of business. First: Mr. Holyfield, welcome to Evolve! He’s got the pedigree, and the presence, but if he doesn’t have the work ethic, he won’t amount to much around here. Elijah says just line ’em up and he’ll knock ’em out. He’ll go through the whole damn roster. In that case, his first match will be next week. Elijah nods then heads out. Will Elijah prove he can throw hands and throw down just like his dad? Thatcher says that’s a dangerous man. But the second order of business is… SUCCESSION 3! Wednesday, June 24th, right here on Tubi (and YouTube internationally).

Both champions will be in action, and in fact, the winner of tonight’s main event will automatically defend the title in Succession 3’s main event! This is the first Succession event that Thatcher is Foreman for, so he wants to do something special. But then Harley Riggins & Kam Hendrix storm in. Kam is splitting time between Evolve and NXT, but Tate gets the spotlight? HELL NAH! Harley says this is cuz “Lil’ Romeo” stuck his nose in their business. Harley wants after him! Thatcher says they’re ten ply, coming in here, making demands, barging where they wanna go. Careful what you wish for, because you’ll get Romeo VS Harley next week.

Gnarly Harley says he’s gonna cook Romeo, take his head off and fry it! But is Harley gonna be the one eating an L when El Freestyle gets to show his stuff?

WWE Evolve Championship: Aaron Rourke VS Tristan Angels!

With Succession 3 as the new checkpoint, there’s even more pressure for these two to be the one. Will The Dime Piece still be sparkling with gold? Or will Mr. England add a belt to his elegant ensemble?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who stands alone in the spotlight!

Wait, who is that leading the chant of “Let’s Go, Dime Piece!” from the VIP Lounge? It’s Gal! Rourke has had his issues with Mr. Mint Condition, but given Gal’s recent introspection, perhaps he’s trying to make amends. The bell rings, Rourke and Tristan circle, and the two feel things out. They tie up, Tristan puts Rourke in a corner then gets up in his face. Tristan tells Rourke that Sparkle City dies today! Rourke SHOVES Tristan down and says learn how to shut your mouth! Tristan runs up but Rourke headlocks. Tristan powers up and out but Rourke ducks ‘n’ dodges to headlock again. Tristan pries at the hold, then fires body shots.

Tristan whips but Rourke RUNS Tristan over! Things keep moving, Rourke handsprings over the dropdown, ducks the hurdle, and headlocks again. Tristan stomps Rourke’s foot and he cravats for a neck wrench. Tristan puts Rourke in the ropes, grinds and CHOKES Rourke, but stops as the ref counts. Tristan CLUBS Rourke, CHOPS, but Rourke fires a body shots. Tristan CLUBS Rourke, snapmares, and he clamps on with shoulder claws! Rourke endures, the fans rally, and Rourke rises up. Rourke fires body shots but Tristan CLUBS Rourke. Tristan whips Rourke to a corner, RAMS into him, then shouts, “Who’s your daddy?” The fans say “Not You!”

Tristan whips Rourke, Rourke goes up and over to handspring and DROPKICK! Rourke runs up to UPPERCUT! Then he goes side to side to BOOT! The fans fire up as Rourke snapmares Tristan, goes up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Gal keeps the chant going, “Let’s Go, Dime Piece!” Tristan CHOPS Rourke, but Rourke CHOPS back! Tristan UPPERCUTS, Rourke fires forearms, then he whips. Rourke runs in at the corner, handsprings, and DOUBLE CHOPS! The fans cheer, Rourke climbs up, and Rourke rains down fists! Rourke gets five but Tristan YANKS him down into the buckles!

Tristan goes up, FLYING KNEES the arm, then CLUBS it on the elbow! The fans boo but Tristan KICKS Rourke around. Tristan steps over, HIP DROPS the arm, then he stalks Rourke to the ropes. Tristan KNEES Rourke down but the fans rally up. Tristan brings Rourke around, knuckle locks the bad arm, Straight Arm Lever HOTSHOT! Then a LARIAT! Cover, ONE!! Rourke toughs it out but Tristan talks trash. Tristan kicks Rourke, Rourke KICKS and KICKS, but Tristan CLUBS Rourke. Tristan scoops and SLAMS, then he goes for legs. Rourke BOOTS free, then trips Tristan and rolls back into the HALF CRAB!

Tristan endures, he rolls through and FLINGS Rourke into buckles! Tristan stomps away on Rourke, but the ref reprimands and counts. Tristan stops at 4, but then wraps Rourke’s arm around the ropes. The ref reprimands as Tristan pulls, but he stops at 4 again. Tristan pushes Rourke around, eggs him on, and mocks his “era.” But Rourke fires body shots! Tristan whips, Rourke reverses to SOBAT, FRONT KICK, and ROUND- NO, Tristan ducks down, but Rourke HEEL KICKS! Rourke then TOSSES Tristan out, and he avoids the shoulder to KICK! Rourke runs, and he SHOTGUNS Tristan in the ropes!

The fans fire up as Tristan flops and flounders to the floor! Rourke goes to the apron, METEORA! Direct hit on Tristan and the fans fire up again! Rourke drags Tristan up and he puts Tristan in the ring. The fans rally but Rourke stalks Tristan back to the apron. Gal gets the fans going, and Rourke says Gal, please. Rourke doesn’t need Gal, he should just go. But Tristan KICKS the legs out! Rourke falls to apron then the floor! Then Tristan MISSILE DROPKICKS him from the apron! Rourke ends up folded and stacked, and even Tristan tells “ginger” Gal to get outta here! Tristan stands tall over Rourke while Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns as Rourke endures a chinlock, and the fans rally as he fights to his feet. Rourke fires body shots, but Tristan RAMS shoulders! Rourke KICKS Tristan, Tristan CLUBS the arm, but then Rourke JABS Tristan! And short arm ALRIATS! And short arm LARIATS! And short arm- NO, Tristan ducks the third, shoves Rourke to the ropes, but Rourke EBLOWS back! Rourke cartwheels and LARIATS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Tristan goes to ropes but Rourke kips up and handsprings! The fans fire up with Rourke and he runs to 619! Down goes Tristan and Rourke goes up! MOLLY GO- NO, Tristan dodges, then BOOTS back!

Tristan goes up, leaps, but into the SPEAR! Cover, TWO! Rourke’s anti-air didn’t end it, but the fans rally up as Rourke rises again. Rourke stomps away on Tristan’s leg, then DDTS the foot! Tristan clutches his leg but Rourke steps through, only for Tristan to BOOT him! And BOOT! And he BOOTS free! Tristan runs up, but into a BOOT! Rourke goes up, but his leg and arm bother him. Tristan jumps up to ENZIGIRI! Rourke tumbles to the apron, but Tristan goes up the ropes! Tristan brings Rourke around to deadlift SUPERPLEX! Cover, TWO! Tristan is stunned but Rourke is tougher than that!

Tristan is frustrated, but vows that the title is his! Tristan drags Rourke up, CLUBS him down, then he drags Rourke up again. Tristan KNEES Rourke, goes up the corner, and he reels Rourke in. But Rourke fires back with body shots! Rourke YANKS Tristan down! The fans fire up and Rourke hurries to get the leg! Rourke steps through, FIGURE FOUR! The fans cheer but Tristan reaches out. Tristan drags Rourke along as he crawls for ropes, but Rourke bridges! FIGURE EIGHT!! Tristan endures, but Rourke can’t maintain the bridge with the bad arm! Tristan makes the ROPEBREAK for it! The fans boo, but then they rally up behind Rourke.

Rourke goes for a leg, but Tristan blocks and throat chops! Then Tristan back suplexes, but Rourke lands out! Backslide, with a stack! ROURKE WINS!

Winner: Aaron Rourke, by pinfall (still WWE Evolve Champion)

Mr. England tried, but he could not devalue the Dime Piece! Rourke proved he isn’t just his style but skill, and now he is booked for Succession! But wait, The Mog Squad shows up to ruin the celebration! The fans boo, but Max Abrams has the mic to say, “Ladies with gentle hands, clap it up for The Mog Squad! I’m gonna keep this real simple. The Main Man needs the main title!” And then Max leads his squad to the ring! The fans boo but Rourke is ready to fight them all on his own! But he won’t have to! Cappuccino Jones is here! And he waves to the back, here come Sam Holloway & Marcus Mathers! The WWE ID OGs run in and brawl with Mog Squad!

The fans fire up as it is an even 4v4, and while Sam stomps CJ Valor, Mathers goes after Jacari Ball, Cappuccino Jones throws hands with Santi Rivera, and naturally, Rourke goes right after Max! The Mog Squad does their best to turn the tides, but this has #TubiContinued! Will the road to Succession 3 be paved with fist fights?

My Thoughts:

A very good Evolve here with big moves as we get the big news that Succession 3 is already happening. Harlem VS Braxton ending in disqualification felt like a cop out, but I did appreciate that this “special security” knew how to handle a jammed-up arm like Harlem had. I still don’t think we’ve gotten their names, but they’re still on an intriguing slow burn, hopefully we get a good payoff with this. Very good tag match, and it’s just as I predicted: Sloane snakes the pin and therefore the title match. I feel like Lyons will find a way to cost Sloane without making it look obvious, because I don’t see a title change happening outside of Succession.

Good promo from Thatcher with Elijah, Elijah is looking to be the new strong, stern, serious type to take Keanu Carver’s place here. And very good main event, and the detail of It’s Gal trying to cheer Rourke on was good. Great win for Rourke over Tristan, but then Mog Squad showing up fits story. We’re clearly getting an 8 Man Tag, Gal certainly tries to help in his own way, and we likely get the classic trope where the Face(s) can’t trust the newly turned Face, but somehow it’ll work out for a great moment where they work together against the true Heels.
