Parker Boudreaux Explains Creative Differences Between WWE and AEW, Praises Gleat and OPW

Former NXT talent Parker Boudreaux says WWE gave him a tightly defined Harland-style role early in his career—bald, silent and character-driven—crediting coaches Matt Bloom, Fit Finlay and Robbie Brookside for his fundamentals while noting limited input on promos and presentation. After his WWE release he landed in AEW, where Boudreaux says he reclaimed his name and image, grew his hair back, changed gear and enjoyed more freedom to pitch ideas and work varied arena crowds before his 2024 departure.

Since leaving AEW he has rebuilt momentum overseas, earning praise and opportunities in Japan’s Gleat—where he trains with Kotaro Suzuki and received a world title shot—and capturing the OPW Global Championship in Australia with a win over Shanky. Boudreaux says both promotions have given him creative room and visibility, and he plans to continue defending the OPW title while helping grow the companies’ profiles internationally.
