Pat McAfee and Wife Samantha Welcome Son Midas Robert After Emergency C-Section
WWE alum and broadcaster Pat McAfee announced that he and his wife Samantha welcomed their second child, son Midas Robert McAfee, on May 22. Samantha experienced severe preeclampsia, prompting an emergency C-section; Midas arrived at 36 weeks weighing 6 lb 6 oz, spent roughly 36 hours in the NICU on a CPAP and feeding support before joining his parents in their room as both mother and baby recovered.
McAfee praised Samantha’s strength, explained the name Midas and the middle name Robert as a tribute to Samantha’s late father, and said the family is eager to bring their daughter home to meet her baby brother. The birth was shared on X, with McAfee thanking hospital staff, family and fans for their support as the new family settles in.
