Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tama Tonga Set for Next WWE SmackDown
Shinsuke Nakamura will face Tama Tonga next Friday in Lexington, Kentucky, after a heated backstage altercation on this week’s SmackDown. Nakamura tried to speak with Tonga but was jumped and chokeslammed onto a cargo crate, setting up the singles encounter for next week.
The program has also highlighted growing friction between Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa, with Tonga increasingly weary of Sikoa’s obsession with Bray Wyatt’s lantern and the MFTs pushing back against Nakamura’s attempts to intervene. Tonga lost to Damian Priest on the same show before he and Sikoa attacked Priest, and Sikoa later took a chair shot from Royce Keys in the main event, adding more heat to the storyline.
