Stardom president expects friendly ties with NJPW to continue after Bushiroad transfers shares
Bushiroad announced Wednesday that it has transferred all shares in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) to CyberAgent and TV Asahi. Bushiroad, which acquired NJPW in 2012 and later purchased World Wonder Ring Stardom in 2019, will no longer hold the promotion but the corporate reshuffle signals a new chapter for NJPW under its new owners.
Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Stardom President Taro Okada said he expects the friendly relationship between Stardom and NJPW to continue despite the ownership change, expressing optimism that the promotions’ history of cooperation will carry forward. Okada’s comments underscore a desire for ongoing collaboration and cross-promotion between the two Japanese wrestling brands.
