WWE reportedly targeting early December for John Cena Classic as Netflix shows interest
WWE has not set a date or venue for the John Cena Classic, but WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports early December would be a logical fit and would coincide with the one-year anniversary of Cena’s final match against Gunther on the December 13, 2025 Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena first announced the event at Backlash, describing a format similar to that SNME episode with main-roster stars facing NXT talent on the undercard.
A source at Netflix has expressed interest in streaming the special, though no agreement is in place. Cena also said the Classic will feature a fan-vote component allowing fans to choose an overall winner irrespective of individual match results.
