WWE Superfan Vladimir Abouzeide Hospitalized After Major Concussion
Vladimir Abouzeide, the subject of the documentary “Superfan: The Story of Vladimir” and WWE’s first officially certified superfan, is in a New York City hospital recovering from what has been described as a major concussion. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, with permission from Abouzeide’s sister, reports the Haiti-born fan—who has been battling Parkinson’s disease—fell while walking with his sister and struck his head on concrete.
Doctors initially feared a brain bleed but Abouzeide is believed to be out of imminent danger regarding bleeding, though he remains hospitalized for an indefinite period. The longtime front-row fixture, honored at WrestleMania 37 and by MLW in 2022, does not currently have a public GoFundMe as fans and peers await further updates.
