Backstage interview with Top Flight & Christopher Daniels.

Sam Leterna is now with the other part of Team Sky Flight and congratulates them on a commanding victory. What is next for the team? Same thing as always, and that is drive through the competition and fight. Tonight, Premier Athletes busted Dante’s nose. Ariya Daivari was one of Dante’s trainers. But tonight, the students became the teachers. They may’ve busted his nose, but if they thought that would keep him down, they must be as sharp as marbles. Darius feels they’re getting lots of wins, but also like they’re treading water. They need a goal. Daniels says if they want a goal, he’s got one for them.

He understands their frustrations, because he feels them, too. It feels like the tag division is in disarray in ROH. But he has a plan, an idea, a thought, on how to make it work. Sammy Guevara, Beast Mortos, whatever the problem is, visa problems or what, that’s fine. Whenever they’re ready to step up, Top Flight is ready to go! Dante & Darius have been getting win after win after win, and it doesn’t matter if they gotta go through The Kingdom, Buster & The Brain, MXM TV, put ’em all in front of them and Top Flight will knock them down! One way or another, they’ll stand across the ring from LFI, and when that happens, they will finally become ROH World Tag Team Champions!

And Sam, that’s not a threat, that’s gospel! Daniels leads Top Flight out, their flight plan set. But considering tomorrow, Arena Mexico will see an ROH World Tag Team Championship match, will Sammy & Mortos return stateside still holding onto the gold?

Action Andretti speaks.

He tells Soleil, “You really showed me what you’re made of. You actually impressed me. You went out there, you did all your little sh*t, but it just wasn’t enough for The Sight to See. And unfortunately, you got embarrassed. The same way QT got embarrassed. The same way Lio Rush got embarrassed!” Action laughs, and then he gets serious as he takes off his sunglasses. “I ain’t the same Action Andretti anymore. I ain’t walking around with a smile on my face trying to please anybody, because I cant’ trust anybody. I tried to be the nice guy, and I found out nice guys finish last. So believe me when I say this, I don’t got a problem being the bad guy. Cuz it’s time to put Andretti first!”

Action is ready for action a week out from Global Wars: Cincinnati. But between his grudge against Lio Rush and the gold on the line, will everything come up Andretti? Will Lio Rush show us it’s fine, it’s fine? Or will ROH still be the Whole Fox’n Show?

Angelico comes back, into a scoop and BACKBREAKER!

Bandido hurries to scoop again, another BACKBREAKER! The fans fire up with Bandido and he runs in at the corner! Angelico pops Bandido to the outside, but Bandido GAMANGIRIS in return! Bandido goes up, up, and TORNILLO! Cover, TWO! We hit the three minute warning but Bandido manages a DRAGON’S LAIR! TWO!! Angelico survives, Bandido hurries to gut wrench, but Angelico slips free of the torture rack! Angelico hooks the arm, spins Bandido, Bandido jumps the sweep but the EDDY GORDO KICK hits! Angelico steps over, LA MAGISTROL, but wait, is Bandido blocking? No, it’s a GROUND COBRA!

The fans rally as Bandido endures, reaches out, and Angelico shifts the grip. Bandido kicks his way over, ROPEBREAK! The two minute warning also hits so Angelico knows he can play prevent defense now. Angelico whips, Bandido ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Angelico tumbles to the ropes, Bandido shuffles the cards! He deals the hand, BLACKJACK- NO! Angelico switches but Bandido switches back! Angelico bucks the O’Conner to then sunset flip. Bandido rolls through, he RANAS to a cover, BANDIDO WINS!!

Winner: Bandido, by pinfall (denies Angelico a title opportunity)

With a minute to spare, Bandido turns up the heat and finishes this off! Will Angelico just have to fight that much harder to earn himself an opportunity? Will anyone ever collect on The Most Wanted?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode of regularly scheduled ROH, but with that, it was close to two hours again. Good tune-ups and such as a go-home to Global Wars. Good promo from Action after a very good match with Soleil, aka Sydney Akeem. The Triple Threat of Fox, Action, and Lio will be great, but I feel like if Action and Lio are busy with their grudge, Fox can take advantage of that and retain the title. Good stuff with MXM TV, though I probably could’ve skipped Mansoor losing to Ace, it’s not like we got a return or a debut that really changes things in ROH.

Very good stuff for Sky Flight, from Top Flight beating Premier Athletes to Zayda & Velvet winning against IInspiration. Hopefully, the visa issues sort out for Mortos, he and Sammy need to defend their titles. And Daniels calling out all those teams, I’d love a Ladder Match for all the teams, but maybe we get a gauntlet or elimination match to name a #1 contender. And honestly, Top Flight should win the tag titles, they’ve been fighting for so long and gotten not much for it. Zayda & Velvet do make a good team, but I wonder if they end of fighting over the TV title instead.

Very good Six Man Tag from STP VS Los Boricuas, but of course STP wins to stay strong after losing to Dalton Castle & The Outrunners. Assuming STP isn’t just full time promoted to AEW, Shane could finally get the world title, but I guess we’ll wait and see. Bandido VS Angelico was a very good match, and I do appreciate them pushing the time limit. It feels like Bandido’s gonna keep the title for a long time, maybe we don’t see a title change until Final Battle.

My Score: 8.7/10
