Philly’s Finest is so fired up to be back, and for tonight’s main event! They also finally get their hands on The Mog Squad! Even playing field! Sam says they’ve been watching these dorks for months, and after what they did last week, Sam is ready to drop ’em and get them outta here! Marcus says facts, Big Sam! But has he heard from Cap Jones yet? Sam says no, but you know how Cap gets. He’s probably getting locked in, doing his coffee thing. True, true. But Marcus wants to figure out who to light up first! He’ll give him an elbow, then a kick, pow! But then oh no! A crash, and they find Cap is down in a mess of spare props! And The Mog Squad is just around the way, laughing it up!

If Cappuccino is down, who can the OGs call upon to keep this a fair fight?

Karmen Petrovic VS PJ Vasa!

These two got into it at the tail end of last week’s episode, so now they kick off the action for this week’s episode! Will the Shing-Shing cut down #PNasty? Or is she about to catch her Issue?

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally up, and PJ steps. Karmen stays back, even as PJ steps again. PJ rushes up but Karmen slips away. PJ tries again, Karmen slides under, then she CROSSBODIES, but into PJ’s arms! PJ talks trash while she carries Karmen, but Karmen slips free! Karmen KICKS, KICKS, and KICKS! PJ guzels, SHOVES Karmen to a corner, then runs up! Karmen goes up and over to sunset flip, but it takes a bit more to drag PJ down. Karmen has the HEEL HOOK, with the grapevine! But PJ sits up to DRIBBLE Karmen off the mat! PJ is free, and she fireman’s carries to then pop Karmen up and around!

But Karmen slips down into a SLEEPER! PJ endures, powers through, and SIDEWALK SLAMS Karmen down! Karmen flounders away to a corner, PJ runs up, and PJ SPLASHES! The fans fire up as PJ whips corner to corner hard, and Karmen falls to the mat. PJ fires up while Karmen stands back up. PJ runs back in and SPLASHES, then short arm LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Karmen survives but PJ DRIBBLES her off the mat again! The fans boo but PJ soaks up heat. PJ pushes Karmen around, has her in the corner, then runs up. Karmen mule kicks, then front kicks, but PJ blocks! PJ whips Karmen to then scoop and- REVERSE DDT from Karmen!

The fans fire up as Karmen goes to the ropes. PJ goes to the other side, both women stand, and PJ runs up! Karmen DUMPS PJ out, then builds speed to WRECK her with a dropkick! Karmen keeps moving, and she DIVES! Down goes PJ and the fans fire up with Karmen! Karmen hurries to get PJ up and SMACK her off the apron. Karmen shoves PJ into the ring, then hurries after PJ. Karmen wrenches and serves up SOLE FOOD! PJ flounders, Karmen runs up, KICK, KICK, KICK, and SOBAT! Then PENALTY KICK! PJ sputters, Karmen runs, BASEMENT DDT! Karmen hurries to aim from the corner, spin and PETROFIER!

But PJ is still moving!? Karmen roars, tries again, PETROFIER!! Cover, Karmen wins!

Winner: Karmen Petrovic, by pinfall

It took two hard shots, but PJ finally stayed down! Will Karmen use this win as proof she deserves a title opportunity of her own?

The Mog Squad talks backstage.

Santi Rivera is telling a joke about someone with a “great personality,” and they have a good laugh. Max Abrams says not to change subjects, but Jacari Ball put him onto that new lotion, it is good! But also, they have been mogging Evolve so easily! CJ Valor says it was light work handicapping Cap! They absolutely decaf’d him! Santi says it’s still 3v2, though, and he “feels bad,” don’t you? Oh… NOT! Max says no way was Santi sympathy maxing. Yeah, Santi was working on his gesture maxing, too. Nice. Jacari then spots Elijah Holyfield and says he did good on his debut. Then they move on and joke about how he’s so scary~, but so chopped!

What’d y’all say?! Uh oh… Elijah storms over to the squad and dares them to day it with their chest. Max says no, bro, they weren’t talking about him, no need to spike the cortisol. Just relax. Elijah says that’s what he thought. And he ain’t their bro. So they better get outta his face before he starts breaking jaws. The squad all instinctively reaches for their chiseled good looks. Max says they gotta go prepare for their main event. The squad heads out, but will they still have to worry about the OGs finding a third man?

Tristan Angels is here!

Mr. England may have failed to become the NEW Evolve Champion, and also failed to be the inaugural Mr. NXT, but he still has never-ending confidence as he walks out here and grabs the mic. The fans boo but he calls for “Order, order, order! What you are looking at is the epitome of a star. Let’s think about it: I’m 6’3”, I have crystal blue eyes, perfect teeth, I own two sports cars with my name written down the side. If you don’t believe me, you can look it up. Off your phone, please, madam, when I’m speaking! Oi! And I almost forgot, I was legitimately rewarded the title, Mr. England, which makes me officially the most handsome man in England, and therefore, the entire world!

“Yet when I look around the Evolve locker room, I see a group of wannabes and pretenders. People who call themselves ‘Starboy’ when they are in fact a year older than me, and just so happen to have a physical stature of a child!” But speaking of, Chazz Hall makes his way out here! The fans cheer Starboy as he air guitars his way to the ring. Tristan asks, “What on Earth are you doing in my ring? And why the hell are you wearing denim?” Chazz reaches into his overalls, and brings out a SLAP! Tristan swings, Starboy dodges to fire off shots, but Tristan THROWS him to the corner! Tristan runs up, Chazz dodges, handsprings, but goes up and over Tristan!

Starboy runs up, jumps up, but Tristan stops the rana! Tristan swings Starboy up, but Starboy fights and RANAS Tristan up and out! Tristan is furious but the fans cheer as Starboy jams out. Tristan says this is not the last of this! Starboy’s messed up now! Will Tristan slay the Denim Dragon? Or will nothing stop Starboy from shining bright?

Marcus Mathers is on the phone.

He thanks whoever for doing this, then hangs up. Marcus explains to Sam that “he” is just as upset about this Cappuccino situation as they are, so he’s in! He’s pulling up to the PC right now! Sam says The Mog Squad has no idea what they’ve done. Tonight, it’s war! The OGs are ready, but who is hurrying to save the day as we speak?

Mint Condition Open Challenge: It’s Gal VS ???

The Real-Life Action Figure stands on stage with mic in hand as he says, “The peaks are peaking and Big Daddy Red is speaking, It’s Gal h as been through the fire here in Evolve. But tonight, I’m here to prove that the flames didn’t break It’s Gal, they only forged the steel! So, step up, dummies! The Mint Condition Open Challenge is on!” The fans are just as ready, but who answers the call? Wait, the lights go down, spotlights shine, and DARKSTATE’S CUTLER JAMES is here?! He got got by Saquon Shugars last week, and what a way to return! Is he about to cut Gal down to size? Or can Gal win despite the surprise?

The bell rings and Gal runs up to DROPKICK! And DROPKICK! Gal runs, but Cutler RUNS him over! Cutler headlocks, Gal powers up, but he can’t power out as Cutler holds tight. Gal wrenches the hold open, but Cutler powers the headlock back on. Cutler shifts to a cravat, and he puts Gal in the ropes to grind his face into them. The ref counts, Cutler brings Gal back around, then goes to a corner. Gal blocks the buckle bump, but Cutler KICKS a leg to then SMACK Gal off the middle buckle. Gal staggers, Cutler brings him around, but Gal breaks free. Cutler stalks Gal, Gal ELBOWS him away, then BOOTS him!

Cutler runs back in, but Gal dodges! Cutler runs into buckles, Gal wrenches and hooks him to spin him and arm-drag him! Then wheelbarrow and arm-drag! The fans fire up as Gal ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Cutler staggers up, Gal LARIATS Cutler up and out, only for Cutler to land on his feet! Cutler trips Gal, drags him outside, then RAMS him into the apron! Cutler then reels Gal in for a SWINGING BACKBREAKER! Gal writhes while Cutler looms over him, and Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns as Cutler RAMS Gal in the corner! Cutler then whips corner to corner to RAM Gal again, and then short arm LARIATS! Cutler drags Gal up with a gut wrench for a GUT BUSTER! Cover, TWO! Gal toughs it out but Cutler pushes him around. Cutler talks trash on “Mr. Action Figure,” he’s the weakest action figure he’s ever seen! Cutler SLAPS Gal, then UPPERCUTS him! Gal huffs ‘n’ puffs and he fires forearms! The fans rally but Cutler shoves Gal to pop him up, only for Gal to land out! Gal slips around, Cutler blocks the backslide, and he flips Gal through! But Gal DROPKICKS Cutler! Gall fires up, runs, but into a scoop and BACKBREAKER!

Cutler grabs Gal’s legs and SWINGS him around! Cutler goes around for five before he THROWS Gal away! Gal staggers around, Cutler pops him up, and UPPERCUTS him down! Cover, TWO! Gal survives and the fans fire up! Cutler neck wrenches Gal into a chinbar and armlock. The fans rally as Gal endures, and Gal fights up, only for Cutler to wrench and WRING Gal’s arm! Cutler stomps Gal, then clamps back on with the chinbar and armlock. Gal endures again but the fans continue to rally. Gal fights up, pushes Cutler’s face, then fires haymakers! Cutler whips Gal away to KNEE him low! Then he clamps back on with a chinlock.

The fans rally as Gal endures all over again. Gal fights up, up, and ROCKS Cutler! And ROCKS him again! Gal fireman’s carries, but Cutler slips free! Cutler THROWS Gal out, then goes out after him. Cutler runs up, but Gal jukes, and Cutler POSTS himself! Gal refreshes the ring count, and he fires haymakers on Cutler! But Cutler guzels Gal to THROW him into the ring! Gal hobbles, Cutler storms up, but Gal KICKS Cutler! Gal fires haymakers again, then body shots! Cutler shoves Gal away, but Gal GAMANGIRIS! Cutler staggers but Gal goes up and out! Then he springboards in, to MISSILE DROPKICK Cutler down! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up for Gal and he brings “the dummy” up! But Cutler kicks and Canadian Racks! Gal slips free, fireman’s carries, and he GUT BUSTER DROPS! Cover, TWO! Cutler survives but Gal is firing up! The fans are with Gal as he flexes, but Cutler grabs at him. Gal scowls, breaks free, and DISCUS LARIATS! The fans fire up as Gal climbs a corner, and CROSSBODIES, but into Cutler’s arms! Another SWINGING BACKBREAKER! Cutler reels Gal in, Canadian Racks, and HELICOPTER SLAMS! Cover, Cutler wins!

No matter where, when DarkState strikes, ain’t nobody safe! Mr. Mint Condition couldn’t win his own challenge, will he have to go back to his private pond of reflection to figure out why? As for Cutler, Chuey Martinez is there to congratulate him, only for Cutler to snatch the mic. “I don’t care what your name is, I don’t care what brand you come from, I’m here to take it all. This ring, tonight, this is just a taste of what I am capable of. And soon, I am going to dominate every brand of WWE. Because Cutler James is undeniable.” Is Cutler about to prove he can Evolve better than anyone?

Braxton Cole speaks.

“Good evening, Harlem Lewis! Now, I know you’re laid up nursing that destroyed shoulder of yours, and your low IQ is slowly realizing that I, Braxton Cole, outmaneuvered you with tremendous ease. But fret not, because I always giveth as much as I taketh. That’s right, your luck is about to change, and I’ve got some great news for you, Harlem! I hope you like Omaha, Nebraska, because I pulled some strings, and I managed to get you an assistant janitorial role at one of my dad’s amazing commercial properties. Probational period, of course, we’re gonna have to make sure that you have the mental acuity to properly care for these laboratories.

“And don’t worry, you’ll get used to the stench of sewage in a month or so. Oh, and if you’re worried about your injury holding you back from starting instantly, I actually took care of that. It’s your very own mop with a sling. No need to thank me, I got you, Harlem. Enjoy your new reality, you blue collar boy.” Mr. Privilege continues to talk down to Harlem, but will the blue collar boy take the blue chip’s silver spoon and make him choke on it?

Noam Dar walks over to check on him. How’s the ankle? It’s getting better. Dar says good, because they’ve got business to take care of in NXT, and he needs Romeo at 100%. Romeo appreciates that. And while he’s here, Romeo wanted to tell Dar, just didn’t know how to say it. Then just spit it out. Well, Dar knows Harley & Kam are pains in the ass, and Romeo keeps trying to find people to back him up but no one’s really down for that. Dar says skip to the end. Okay, okay. Romeo & Dar VS Kam & Harley in a tag match here on Evolve. What does he say? Dar says them on Evolve… Well, they only just got this thing going, and they could get the reps in while kicking ass.

Dar says those words are… Si. Se. Puedes! And with that, the Scottish Supernova is gonna help El Freestyle against #GnarlyHarley & Mr. Showtime! Will they be able to turn it up to 11 here in Evolve?

Six Man Tag: ???, Marcus Mathers & Sam Holloway VS The Mog Squad!

After Aaron Rourke was less mogged and more mugged, Cappuccino Jones and his fellow WWE ID OGs made sure to get in the squad’s face! But when Cap was attacked outta nowhere, we were all wondering if this main event could still happen. A call was made, and who’s the third man, brother? Why, none other than Aaron Rourke! The Dime Piece wants to take it to the Max, will the squad be the ones mogged tonight?

The moment Rourke, Mathers & Sam hit the ring, they throw hands on Max, Jacari & Santi, CJ on the outside watching! The fans fire up as the OGs THROW the Mog Squad out! The squad regroups while the ref has the OGs cool it off. The squad huddles up, and Max pep talks his guys! They look better, their muscles are better, they ARE better! They’re the Mog Squad! Jacari steps up to Mathers, the bell rings to make this official, and the two feel things out. But then Jacari kicks low! Jacari ROCKS Mathers, CLUBS him, then ROCKS him again! Jacari scoops Mathers to carry him, but Mathers slips free! Mathers scoops, SLAMS, and ELBOW DROPS! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up for Mathers as he brings Jacari up, brings him over, and tags in Rourke. The old tag partners mug Jacari, but Jacari scoops Rourke! Rourke slips free, shoves Jacari, then DROPKICKS him down! The fans fire up as Rourke then wrenches and JAWBREAKERS into a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Rourke brings Jacari up, but Jacari JAWBREAKERS back! Tag to Santi, but Rourke HIP TOSSES him down! The fans fire up as Rourke then tags Mathers. They send Santi into the corner, Mathers sends Rourke in for a forearm SMASH, then Rourke sets up for FINEST IN MOTION! Then snapmare roll and CALF KICK! Rourke adds a SENTON, Mathers covers, TWO!

The fans continue to rally for the OGs, and Mathers points to Hard Way Holloway! The fans cheer as Mathers taunts the Mog Squad while dragging Santi away. Santi breaks free, throws, but Mathers dodges, and the forearm shot hits Sam anyway! The fans say Santi messed up, and then Mathers DOUBLE CHOPS Santi down! Mathers brings Santi over, tags in Sam, and Santi panics. Santi looks to the squad, they coach him up, and Santi fires up! Santi runs up to fire forearms, then whips, but Sam blocks! Sam whips, hurdles, and BOOTS Santi down! The fans fire up for Sam as he BLASTS Jacari and scares off Max!

Santi staggers up, Sam scoops and SLAMS! Sam goes up, out, then climbs the ropes for the ELBOW DROP! Santi scrambles away, Jacari runs up, but Sam BOOTS him down! Sam then lines up a shot, and he DOUBLE LARIATS Jacari & Santi right outta the ring! Tag to Rourke, Max runs in, but Sam gives Rourke the boost for a DROPKICK! Tag to Mathers, the teammates fire each other up, and they build speed! DOUBLE DIVE onto The Mog Squad! The fans fire up with the OGs but Evolve goes to break.

Evolve returns as Mathers goes up, up, and CROSSBODIES! Down goes Santi and the fans fire up again! Mathers scoops and SLAMS Santi, then drags him to a drop zone. Mathers goes up the corner, but Max runs up! Mathers DECKS Max, but Santi GAMANGIRIS! Mathers tumbles, Santi BLASTS Sam, then BLASTS Rourke! The ref reprimands, but CJ POSTS Mathers in the distraction! The fans boo and Sam protests, but the squad stomps away on Mathers. They put Mathers in for Santi to cover, ONE! Mathers toughs it out, but Santi tags Jacari. The Hellcat fires body shots, then he scoops to BACKBREAKER!

Santi slingshots in, NECKBREAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Tag to Max, he fires up and runs the ropes to drop the leg, brother! Cover, ONE! Max CLUBS Mathers, kicks him around, but Mathers CHOPS! Max brushes that off to stomp Mathers again and again. The fans boo as Max stands Mathers up and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Jacari, he fires body shots, then he tags Santi. Santi RAMS into Mathers again and again, then ROCKS him! Mathers ROCKS Santi, fires shots on the rest, and he BOOTS Santi! Santi UPPERCUTS back! Santi runs up, but Mathers pops him up! Max helps Santi go back in, and Santi BULLDOGS Mathers down!

Santi BLASTS Rourke, covers Mathers, TWO! The fans rally as Santi hurries to put Mathers in the corner. Tag to Jacari, he sends Santi in, and Santi ROCKS Mathers! Jacari runs up, but Mathers goes up, over, under, and hot tag to Sam! The fans fire up as Sam RUNS Santi over, SPINEBUSTERS Max, then BOOTS Jacari! Sam gets moving, and he LEAPING LARIATS Jacari back down! The fans fire up but Santi runs in. Sam catches him, BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Santi hits the ropes then falls out of the ring, but Sam gets moving! But into a BEAUTIFUL DISASTER KICK! Max uses what the American Nightmare taught him, then he stomps away on Sam.

Tag to Santi, the mugging continues, then Santi tags Jacari. The Mog Squad mugs Sam more, but the ref counts. The squad backs off, they hit their omega flex, then Jacari leaps, rolls, and returns, SLAM DUNK SPLASH! Tag to Santi, he tags Max, and Max sends Santi in for a forearm SMASH! Max runs in and UPPERCUTS! Max pushes Sam down to cover him, TWO! Sam reaches out but Max grins as he brushes the abs. The fans rally but Max BLASTS Mathers! Sam fires body shots and forearms, but Max dodges to jump on for a SLEEPER! The fans boo as Max holds on tight! Sam is fading, but he gets a second wind!

The fans fire up as Sam rises again, and he RAMS Max into Jacari! Santi sneaks a tag fast before Sam THROWS Max away! Sam then BACKDROPS Max onto Santi! Hot tag to Rourke! The Dime Piece rallies with elbow after elbow, then a LEG LARIAT! Jacari runs up, Rourke dodges to then BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Max runs up, Rourke dodges, and Rourke hits a THESZ PRESS! Rourke rains down fast hands and the fans fire up! Jacari and Santi are both in a corner, Rourke runs up to DOUBLE UPPERCUT! Rourke goes side to side to BOOT Santi! Rourke snapmares Santin down beside Jacari, then DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICKS!

Max is back but Rourke blocks the kick! Rourke mocks the Main Man Energy, and he KNEES Max! Max tumbles out of the ring, and Rourke tags Sam. The fans fire up as Sam builds speed, and Sam FLIES! Down goes the entire Mog Squad! The fans fire up as the big man gets air! Sam puts Santi in the ring, then guzels for a SIT-OUT CHOKE SLAM! Cover, Jacari jukes Rourke to break it! Rourke TOSSES Jacari back out, but Max TOSSES Rourke! Mathers catches Max to a wrench and HOOK KICK! Jacari clinches to BELLY2BELLY! Rourke BACKSTABBERS Jacari! Max BLOCKBUSTERS Rourke! Max calls his shot, springboards, but he trips up a bit, and Sam BOOTS him down!

Jacari waistlocks Sam, Sam ELBOWS free! Santi steps in, FLYING CODE BREAKER! Santi gets moving, BLINDSIDE WIZARD! Cover, but Mathers 450 SPLASHES it apart! The fans are all fired up, Santi flops out of the ring, but Sam crawls. “This is Awesome!” as Sam hot tags Rourke, and Max tags himself in! The fans fire up as Rourke and Max start throwing hands! Rourke ROCKS Max, Max BOOTS Rourke! Rourke SUPERKICKS Max, but Max JUMP KNEES Rourke! But then Rourke reels Max in, only for Max to ELBOW free! Rourke ROLLING KICKS Max! Mathers tags in, he and Rourke combine, wheelbarrow SPEAR!

The fans fire up as Mathers hurries after Max, but Max rolls out. Mathers BOOTS Santi, ROUNDHOUSES Jacari, and Mathers gets moving! Philly’s Finest FLIES! Down goes The Mog Squad again and the fans are even more fired up! Mathers gets Max up and in, takes aim from a corner, but CJ gets on the apron! The fans boo, but Mathers SUPERMAN PUNCHES CJ! But that lets Max hit the MAIN OBJECTIVE!! Cover, Mog Squad wins!

Winners: The Mog Squad, by pinfall

Talent and looks aside, the numbers game was still on the squad’s side! From sidelining Cappuccino to stealing one from Mathers, will nothing stop Max and his main men from taking over Evolve? Speaking of stealing, Max snatches the belt away from Rourke! The fans boo, but it is official! Rourke VS Abrams for the Evolve Championship at Evolve Succession 3! Will the Dime Piece make sure Max pays for this?

My Thoughts:

A very good Evolve, though with some interesting moves, bordering on confusing. Why make it a Six Man Tag of Mog Squad VS WWE ID OGs when they could’ve had a full 8 Man Tag? The only excuse for it is getting heat on the Heels going into Succession, because as we saw, having a 4v3 advantage helped Mog Squad cheat the win. Honestly, still could’ve worked with the 8 Man Tag, where they could even have a moderately hurt Cappuccino trying to compete but it costs the team. Or for that matter, if It’s Gal was still on the path I felt for him, he could’ve tried to make amends through tonight’s main event. How great would it have been if Gal “took a bullet” for Rourke in the loss?

Instead, Gal loses his own open challenge to Cutler James, who was beat up and taken out on NXT. That is itself confusing. Did they not have Saquon going after Cutler written as a story beat when they filmed this? Why was it Cutler at all and not a returning Harlem Lewis as a way to respond to Braxton’s promo? Good promo from Braxton, by the way, but what better way for Harlem to respond than to literally show that actions speak louder than words? Very good match from Gal all the same, but I don’t think we need more of “a hero’s struggle” to get good with the fans, the fans already really like Gal, he should be past his struggle and be winning.

Very good match from PJ VS Karmen, and a little surprising it was Karmen winning here. Nothing from Wendy Choo or Nikkita Lyons tonight, even after establishing the match for Succession, but I would’ve thought PJ would position herself for a shot after Choo VS Lyons. Not sure why they’re waiting to pull the trigger on PJ, she would make a great champion. Not to say Karmen isn’t good in her own right, but it just doesn’t feel like this is her time.
