The Cell is here!
And with both Adam Pearce and Triple H in the ring, the Cell begins to lower. Oba Femi walks to gorilla with police escort, and we see the same for Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman via split screen. Oba walks through the curtain first to make his entrance, and Los Angeles cheers for The Ruler. Oba steps inside the cell and inside the ring as the fans cheer him on. HHH shakes Oba’s hand, then Pearce says in just five days, Oba goes to battle with the most decorated combat sports athlete in history. But before SummerSlam and Hell in a Cell, please stand on the scale. Oba takes off his necklace and shirt, stands on the scale, and the official weight is: 302 pounds!
The fans cheer, and Pearce now introduces Oba’s opponent, The Beast, BROCK LESNAR! The fans still cheer as Lesnar indeed makes his entrance, The Wise Man right behind. They go to the ring, but then Lesnar is locking the chain on the door? The fans boo as Lesnar taunts Oba with the key from the safe side of the Cell. Heyman says, “Ladies and gentlemen, we have a slight changes of plans here. To allow Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell, well, that’s not a very good idea, now is it? We are talking about the single most violent athlete in the history of combat sports! We are talking about the most successful athlete in the history of combat sports.
“The former Undisputed, reigning, defending UFC Heavyweight Champoin of the World, Brock Lesnar! We are talking about the most non-PG ass kicker in the history of the WWE! And Oba Femi, with all due respect…” The mic is failing, and Heyman says the sound guy must be from California… But with respect to the beating Oba gave Lesnar at Mania, Oba Femi is an underdog going into this match! BROCK LESNAR, the King of teh Cage, BROCK LESNAR… The damn mics… BROCK LESNAR Is the Beast of the Brocktagon! Brock Lesnar has never been defeated inside HIAC! That’s a streak that will never be broken!
This Beast conquered The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Undefeated Streak! The fans boo, but Heyman says “this wannabe ruler” thinks he’s gonna end the streak of Lesnar in the Cell? HEYMAN’S ASS he will! Oba may be the most dominant bastard to walk into WWE the last 24 years, but Oba cannot beat Lesnar inside HIAC! And for record, Lesnar already weighed in backstage: weight 303 pounds, BRRROCK LESNARRRR! The fans boo but Oba says prove how big you are in the Cell! Not out there! Lesnar leaves the key on the floor, then takes the mic to tell him, “I’ll see you at SummerSlam, b*tch!”
Lesnar walks up the ramp, but Oba says yeah, run away! Like you always do! Lesnar thinks he’s free? Saturday is coming, and Hell is coming with Oba! Lesnar storms back down the ramp but Oba says no matter how free you think you are, Oba won’t be locked in there with Lesnar. Lesnar will be locked in there with Oba! The Beast snarls, but Oba gets the last word. Will Oba also have the last laugh when they finally have it out? OH NO, Oba THROWS security around in a rage! And then a CHOKE SLAM for one! And a FLLL FROM GRACE for the last guy! Oba even CHUCKS the scale! Is Lesnar the one poking the bear this close to the final showdown?
The Bloodline arrives backstage.
Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Jacob Fatu, and of course, The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, all step out of the car. They dap it up, and the World Heavyweight Champion is handed his title. The Bloodline heads inside, but how will tonight’s face-to-face between Roman and Rollins go?
Bron Breakker & Austin Theory w/ The Vision VS Otis Dozovic & Akira Tozawa!

And CLOBBERS Theory! Otis drags Theory up, LARIATS him back down, then has him in the corner. Otis goes up, up, but Maxxine gets on the apron! The fans boo as she again manipulates poor Otise. Refs rush out here as Theory tells Otis that Maxxine is with him, and will never be with Otis!
The fans boo, The Vision leaves, but then Theory grabs a chair! CON-CHAIR-TO on Otis against the post!! The refs are furious, but Theory keeps shouting that Otis will have nothing! Will no one ever stop The Vision from doing whatever they want to whoever they want?
Backstage interview with LA Knight.
Jackie Redmond is with the Mega Star, and says that in just a few days, Saturday SummerSlam, the Six Man Tag is coming. WE all know how Bloodline rolls, so what is Knight thinking going into the match? Thinking? What is he thinking? Well, he’s thinking he just drove down Sepulveda Boulevard, made a left on Century, and then pulled into the Intuit Dome here in LA. Ya boy is in the building, YEAH! But um, he is also thinking about this and that saying, “LA Knight’s awfully paranoid, isn’t he?” Paranoid? HUH!? YEAH! He is, because why wouldn’t he? Everything he said would happen HAS happened! Is that paranoia or Nostradamus?
The way it goes, Knight said it, once The Bloodline’s back together, it’ll be sneak attacks, screw jobs and all that. He hopes they’re feeling big, feeling good, because Saturday is alright for fighting, and the goal is to put Bloodline in a hole. Six feet deep, no coming back! And what that mean sis, boys, he’ll tell ya right now, when you meet LA, get the BFT, that’s not an insult, just a fact of life! So says LA Knight, YEAH! Knight heads out, but will he, Royce Keys, and Solo Sikoa be more than ready for anything and everything The Bloodline’s gonna throw at them? Or will The Bloodline YEET them out of the way of their rise back to power?
Raquel Rodriguez speaks.
“Sol Ruca, two weeks ago, you got lucky, chiquita! But tonight, there will be no tricks, no games. Tonight, I am not letting that title slip through my fingers. No, porque yo soy Raquel Rodriguez, la mas peligrosa de las peligrosas! And tonight, I’m talking the gold!”
Sol Ruca speaks.
“Raquel, I know what I’m getting myself into with you and your whole little Judgment Day ‘family.’ I know you’re gonna put everything out there and throw it at me. But the thing is, I’ve beaten you once, and I will beat you again.” The Surfer and La Ruda are ready, but who will shine brightest in this City of Angels?
Chad Gable speaks.
The American Made Man is in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota ahead of SummerSlam, and says, “I chased success and championships until I had nothing left. No friends, no respect, no dignity. I burned it all down thinking gold would fill the hole, and it never did. Sometimes, losing everything reminds you of what really matters. So I dug my way back, the old school way. Owning my mistakes, making amends with the people I hurt, and with myself. And it set me free. Free to endure life’s gauntlet and press on towards a championship, without needing it for validation. Because saying I need that title, that’s just something people say when they don’t really know why.
“But now, I know why. I was born here, raised here, forged here. I’m not walking into that ring as the guy who lost himself chasing a championship. I’m walking in as the guy who found himself again, ready to represent my family, my friends, myself, and this state. The same way that I did at the Olympic games: with pride, with honor, and with integrity. I’m taking that Intercontinental Championship, and I’m doing it as the man I was always supposed to be. Minnesota, I’m coming home.” Gable is ready, but will all of his determination be able to overcome #CeroMiedo?
Iyo Sky speaks.
“Liv, ever since Night of Champions, I’ve been in your head. You thought you could beat me for the crown, but in the end, I was the one who became Queen of the Ring! I proved you wrong that night. You alone are not as strong as you think you are. And most importantly? You are NOT the greatest champion of alllll~ time. I have been in the presence of great champions, great leaders, and great teachers within the women’s locker room we share. But you pale in comparison to them all! You are arrogant, and that may just be your downfall. You talk a lot, but I think it’s because you’re scared to lose.
“So, Liv, I am ready to prove you wrong again. I’m excited to face you for that title at SummerSlam. Because I defeated you once, and I’m gonna do it all over again to become the NEW Women’s World Champion!” The Genius has her plan, but will she have the belt to go with the crown?

The Young OG has been going back and forth with the Lion of Bulgaria, and they’re gonna go another round tonight, just days before SummerSlam! Will Los Angeles get BOUNCY~? Or will Rusev have his day?

Je’Von fires hands, he backs Rusev down, then whips. Rusev reverses and Je’Von hits buckles hard! Rusev drags Je’Von up, whips him hard into buckles, and Je’Von tumbles around! Rusev snarls, shouts at the camera, then goes back to Je’Von. Rusev ELBOWS away on Je’Von’s shoulders, then clamps on with a chinlock. Je’Von endures, even as Rusev squeezes tight, and Raw returns to single picture. Je’Von fights up, fires body shots, but Rusev THROWS him down! Rusev looms over Je’Von, kicks him around, then taunts him. The fans boo but Rusev soaks that up. Je’Von rises up, and he fires body shots! Rusev shakes his head, but then Je’Von fires a haymaker!
Je’Von fires another shot, but Rusev DECKS him! The fans boo but Rusev eggs Je’Von on. Je’Von fires more haymakers, but Rusev DECKS him again! Rusev storms around while the fans boo, and Rusev swings, but Je’Von counter punches! Je’Von fires more shots, bobs ‘n’ weaves, then ROCKS Rusev again! Je’Von fires off in the corner, then stops as the ref counts 4. Rusev runs up, Je’Von ROCKS him! Je’Von runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, RED DOT GAMANGIRI! Down goes Rusev and the fans fire up again! Rusev rolls out, the ref checks him, and maybe that kick did more damage than they thought.
Rusev rushes up, but Je’Von DECK S him! And then #WeOutside! Down goes Rusev and the fans fire up with Je’Von! Je’Von hurries to put Rusev in, then springboard. Rusev dodges, comes back, MACHKA KICK! The fans rally as Je’Von endures, but he’s caught! Je’Von flails, and he gets a second wind! The fans fire up as Je’Von fights to get an arm free! ROPEBREAK! Rusev lets go in frustration, and he demands Je’Von get back up! Je’Von rises, Rusev runs in, but Je’Von goes Matrix! STUNNER! The fans fire up for Je’Von, and he fires up! Up, up, O G CUTTER!! Rusev may be the Bulgarian Lion, but Je’Von has the heart of a lion as he fights through and wins out! Will the Young OG be fighting his way back to a title opportunity after SummerSlam?
Joe Hendry is in the ring.
He strums his guitar as he says, “I see the lights, I see the people…” And then on pipe organ…? “Danhausen’s very nice! Danhausen’s very evil!” Hendry says they’re in a fight with Liv, Dom & JD. The guy with the head, who wants Danhausen’s human money~! The one with the head threw money at Oba. Never fear, Judgment Day’s curse is never ova~! Now, pipe organ solo~! Danhausen jams out, somehow playing a lot of notes with just one hand even. Hit it! The music plays as Danhausen struts. He and Hendry dance as they sing, “I believe~ that YOU ARE CURSED!” Wait, Minihausens join in as back-up dancers and even tamborine players!
The fans cheer the You Are Cursed song, and there are even MORE back-up dancers coming! It’s the LA Clippers dance team! We’re all cursed now! But in a good way. The fans boo, Danhausen asks why, but JD & DOM ATTACK! Garcia was on their side! The fans boo as Dom & JD stomp away on the Overlord! The Minihausens attack, but that 3v2 is more like 1.5v2. JD scoops one to SLAM him! Dom drags Danhausen to center and JD rains down fists!
The fans boo and tell Judgment Day off, but Dom goes up! FROG SPLASH on Danhausen! The fans boo as Garcia helps kick Danhausen out. JD even beats up the pipe organ! They stand together, but will the AAA Mega Campeon AND the Zuffa Champion both be humbled soon enough?
PENTA speaks.
“Chad, I am happy that you feel that way. I’m happy you changed. But redemption doesn’t end by you taking my Intercontinental Championship. You disrespected me, you disrespected lucha libre, and yes, I forgave you. But forgiveness doesn’t erase the past. I know you won over the crowds of Mexico with a great match. But that isn’t enough to beat Penta, and certainly not enough to take this championship away from me! It only reminds me why I have to fight even harder. At SummerSlam, I’m not fighting for revenge, I’m fighting for my legacy, for my title, and for all those people who believe in me.
“Chad Gable, see you at SummerSlam. Porque yo soy Penta, and CERO MIEDO!” Will zero fear translate to zero mercy when Penta and Gable battle this weekend?
Big Cass walks through the smoke.
The narrator says, “When you hit rock bottom, the only thing left to do is climb back up, and prove everyone wrong.” Next Monday, he returns.
Rey Mysterio VS Ethan Page!
Like Je’Von and Rusev earlier, The King of Lucha has been going back and forth with All Ego, and Rey is ready to humble Ethan. Will Rey be on a roll this close to SummerSlam? Or will Ethan get on the winning track as SummerSlam approaches?

A crafty way to win, and Ethan is smiling all the way to the bank. But will Rey get his revenge somewhere down the line? Or is All Ego on to bigger and better things?
Liv Morgan speaks.
“Sweet little Iyo. I can tell you still don’t understand just exactly who you’re facing at SummerSlam. I am THE Liv Morgan. I’m the girl that everyone underestimated and overlooked as I scratched and clawed my way to the top. So please believe me when I say I will do anything to stay there. Sure, some people might think I’m an arrogant champion. But when you have the résumé that I have, you just don’t care about what people think. Cuz y’know what I do care about? MY championship. Which means now I care about you. Because you did beat me at Queen of the Ring. I know you’re one of the best in the world, you are the Genius of the Sky, Iyo Sky!
“But you’re wrong about me. You’re not in my head. I’m not scared of the thought of losing to you at SummerSlam. And I am so much stronger than you think that I am. So thank you, Iyo, for the opportunity at SummerSlam to remind you and everyone else exactly who I am: The Greatest Women’s World Champion of All Time.” Confident as ever, will Liv be standing tall this weekend? Or will it all come crashing down around her?
Team Danhausen regroups.
The Minihausens are sore and beat up, a doctor is checking them all, and Danhausen himself is rather sore. In steps Adam Pearce, and he tells Danhausen to give the money back. NEVER! What? Oh, hold on. Hang the money on the pole. Hang it up! What? Human moneys on a pole match? YES! Haven’t you ever watched wrestling?! Well, if that ends this, then fine. They’ll hang the money on the pole, it’ll be official for SummerSlam, and Pearce needs a drink. Danhausen thanks Pearce, but will he have his revenge and the money? Or will everything come up Dirty Dom this weekend?
The Usos head to the ring!
Jimmy & Jey come in from the crowd, and LA is now the City of YEET! But what will #BigJim & Main Event Jey have to say ahead of SummerSlam? We’ll find out, after the break.
Raw returns as The Usos are in the ring, mics in hand. The fans cheer, they wanna run it back! Jey thinks about it, and says okay! They run it back, and the music plays again! LA gets to YEET again, then Jey goes back to the mic. Jimmy tells Los Angeles, “The Bloodline is now in your citay~!” The fans put up the ones, and Jey says they got a message for everyone stepping to The Bloodline! For everyone at SummerSlam! LA Knight, YEET! Royce Keys, EYET! And lil’ big brother, Solo Sikoa, YEET! This is a message to all three fools: This your warning shot, BLAOW! Wait, Solo is mocking the gun sounds as he walks in from the crowd!
The fans are torn as Solo smiles and says “You guys say you didn’t start it, but you guys did start it when your asses ran back to Roman. You said The Bloodline is here, but I don’t see The Bloodline. Because the real Bloodline had Solo Sikoa in it. So whatever this crap is, you guys don’t have a chance at SummerSlam.” Jimmy says how about they just get over the jokes, huh? We all know Solo is playing games. Solo doesn’t wanna go back to The Bloodline, but it was the best thing to ever happen to him. So just make it easy on yourself and run the play. Or else. Or else? Or else what? You gonna send him a warning shot? Maybe they’ll YEET for 30 minutes?
No, wait, maybe they’ll do this stupid hand waving crap to bore everyone! The fans actually like the YEET. But Solo asks why he would come back when he loves where he’s at? Everyone in LA loves where Solo’s at! The fans do seem to cheer that, too. So here’s Solo’s warning shot: Tell Roman that he can kiss Solo’s ass! Because at SummerSlam, you got Mr. Solo Dolo, you got the heavy-hitter, Royce Keys, and the one and only Mega Star that everybody calls… “L! A! KNIGHT!” The fans cheer as Knight makes his entrance from the stage, mic already in hand. The fans already chant for Knight, and he says, “LEMME TALK TO YA!”
Knight says he said it once and say sit again: His heart doesn’t pump purple piss for the family drama. Cuz if you can’t tell, Solo feels the same way as Knight, and they wanna knock both The Usos’ heads off at SummerSlam. Maybe down the line, they can patch things up, have a pow wow, maybe even do the haka. Whatever you gotta do to make things fine, fine! But right now, you gotta pay penance for what you did do! You screwed Knight against Fatu, you screwed Keys out of his contender’s match on Friday. But all that comes to an end at SummeRSlam. The talking is done, five days left, the clock is ticking! See you all at SummerSlam!
Knight turns to leave, but then reconsiders. “Or…” Knight turns back around, the sunglasses come off and so does the jacket. Knight says he could walk down the LA aisle, walk into the middle of this LA building and step into that LA ring, so that he and Solo can stomp The Usos out LA style, with everybody saying, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” LET’S GO! The fans fire up as Solo and Knight brawl with Jimmy and Jey! Solo HAMMERS away, Knight stomps away on Jey, but here comes The Samoan Werewolf! The fans fire up as Jacob Fatu storms down the ramp, slides into the ring, but he gets attacked 2v1! Fatu shoves free, mule kicks Solo, but Knight kicks Fatu!
Fatu BACKDROPS Knight, then HIP ATTACKS Solo! HIP ATTACK on Knight! Fatu geeks out, The Usos are with him, and they keep on Solo! But then here comes The Powerhouse! The fans cheer Royce Keys as he gets in and fires hands on Jimmy! Jimmy is sent into barriers, then Royce fires off with Jey! Royce ROCKS Jey, but Jey SUPERKICKS! Royce just eats it for lunch! Royce LARIATS Jey down and the fans fire up! And now, Fatu and Royce stare down. The fans fire up as the two step up, and the hands start flying! Royce fires shots, Fatu shoves back, but Royce LARIATS! But then Fatu’s back up! TONGAN DEATH GRIP!
But Solo BOOTS Fatu! SAMOAN SPIKE! Fatu staggers around, into ULTIMATE SPINE BUSTER! Then Knight gets Fatu with a B F T! The Bloodline is in retreat, but Fatu shoves The Usos off him! Jimmy says chill, Uce! As Knight said, there’s only five days left before this all cuts loose! Who survives the Six Man Tag at SummerSlam?
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Sol Ruca VS Raquel Rodriguez!
The rivalry of Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan affected much of the first time these two battled for this belt, so now they look to settle things properly! Will someone get their soul snatched tonight? Or will La Ruda make sure the Surfer Girl wipes out in LA?
Raw returns as Raquel makes her entrance, joining Sol in the ring. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who stays hot for the Summer!
The bell rings, and Raquel runs up! Sol goes Matrix to dodge the boot just in time! Sol then kicks low, runs the ropes, and springboards, into a guzel! Raquel rises, but Sol waistlocks. Raquel bucks the O’Conner, but Sol ducks the lariat! Only for the SOUTHPAW to find her! Raquel snarls, kicks Sol around, and we see Lyra Valkyria watching backstage, still in her unstable, disheveled state. Raquel CLUBS Sol, then talks trash on her and the fans. Raquel CLUBS Sol, but the ref reprimands about hair pulling. Raquel “apologizes,” then she CHOKES Sol on the ropes. The ref counts, Raquel stops, and she whips Sol to ropes. Raquel then blows past Sol, but Sol drops down! Sol hurdles, but Raquel catches her! Sol RANAS free, then SUPERKICKS! Raquel tumbles out, Sol goes up!

Winner: Raquel Rodriguez, by pinfall (NEW WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion)
It took the help of her sisters in Judgment Day, but finally, La Ruda is a singles champion! The pyro goes off in celebration, is this just a sign of what’s to come for Judgment Day with SummerSlam? Or will The Genius adjust her plan for other variables?
Roman Reigns heads to the ring!
The fans cheer and put their ones to the sky as The OTC, The Tribal Chief, The Head of the Table, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, makes his entrance. Roman holds up the belt, the pyro goes off, and he continues down the ramp. We get one more face-to-face between him and Seth Rollins, after the break.
Raw returns as Roman is now in the ring, mic in hand. The fans cheer “O T C! O T C!” and sing, “Roman, Roman Reigns~!” Roman soaks that in, then says, “Los Angeles…!” “BURN IT DOWN~!” Seth Rollins makes his entrance to interrupt Roman! The fans sing ‘WHOA~ OH~ OHH~!” for The Architect as he makes his way to the ring, again dressed in all black. Rollins steps into the ring, grabs himself a mic, and circles with Roman a moment before telling Los Angeles, “ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” The fans are torn on that, but Rollins grins as he raises his one to the sky. The fans duel, “WHOA~ OH~ OHH~!” and “O T C! O T C!”
Roman says that’s how you ruin a great thing. He tried to explain it, but LA knows the deal: Rollins is an a-hole! Rollins says guilty as charged. But look, yeah, he’ll be the bad guy here. When it comes to these two, yeah, he’s the bad guy. And that’s fine with Rollins, because that’s how Rollins gets his. Some of us get everything handed to them on a silver platter. Some of us get to start on third base. Not Rollins! People like Rollins have to grind, hustle, and survive to get theirs! Rollins isn’t taking anything away from Roman, Roman is everything he says he is and everything the company wanted him to be.
Roman is the biggest star in the industry, he is a money making machine, he is a main event walking! Roman, The Tribal Chief, The Head of the Table, he is all of those things, and has the edge on Rollins in so many departments. But there is one thing Roman will never, ever be better at than Rollins, and that is professional wrestling. When it comes to goes on in this ring, Rollins said it before, he’ll say it again, he owns Roman’s ass! And when it comes to what goes on inside that thick skull of Roman’s, Rollins owns him, too! LA knows it, everyone knows it, Roman knows it, and nothing he can point to changes that!
Call Rollins an A-hole all you want, but you can’t call him a liar! We’ve seen it for weeks! The packages, the recaps, Roman VS Rollins, every single time, Rollins owns Roman! And Roman thinks SummerSlam’s gonna be different? That something’s changed? Why? What gives Roman a reason to think this has changed even a little bit? What is Roman gonna do? Get disqualified when Rollins owns his ass, just like Royal Rumble 2022? Or maybe this time, Roman calls in The Bloodline, since he can’t get it done on his own. Roman says he needs to beat Rollins? Need it all you want, Roman, you don’t stand a chance!
The fans are torn, but Roman manages to smile. Rollins doesn’t get it, does he? He doesn’t understand! Roman is the only real superstar! Roman is the only true champion around here! And when Roman said it, he meant it, he needs to beat Rollins. Roman needs his family to see him do that. EVERYONE needs Roman to beat Rollins! Not just the WWE but the entire industry needs it! The fans are torn again as the two stare down. Rollins then nods and says, “Funny the things we need, huh?” Roman needs his redemption so bad, doesn’t he? How about we try this one on? When Rollins suckered Roman into this match about a month ago, Roman said something that stuck with him.
Roman said that he needed his family to be there to see it. And it took Rollins back down memory lane, all the way to WrestleMania 31, when Rollins cashed in on Roman’s ass, sending the whole family home in tears! The fans are torn on that comment, and Rollins says he hopes Roman’s family is there on Sunday. Because Rollins would love nothing more than to do watch them cry again. Roman starts twitching in anger, but Rollins says they’ll figure out “Daddy” is a fraud. They’ll see Daddy is a loser! And their Daddy will forever and always be Seth Rollins’ b*tch. Roman DECKS Rollins! Roman fires off as the fans fire up!
Roman puts the belt aside to keep after Rollins, and he stomps away! The fans are torn as Roman just HAMMERS away on Rollins, then SUPERMAN PUNCHES! The fans fire up as Roman goes to a corner. “OOAH~!” SPEAR!! Roman is furious like we’ve rarely ever seen, and he watches Rollins crawl to the ropes. The fans cheer “O T C! O T C!” Roman thinks about the situation, and he decides to get a chair! The symbol of the original sin, and Roman brings it to the ring! But then Rollins CURB STOMPS Roman down onto the chair! The fans are torn as Rollins stands tall, having played Roman like a fiddle!
Rollins says every step of the way, he’s still one step ahead of Roman! But will Rollins continue to outthink Roman? Or will Roman finally figure out how to defeat Seth Freakin’ Rollins?
My Thoughts:
A very good go-home episode of Raw, which definitely felt like a go-home with the extra video packages and promos going into SummerSlam. Very good promos from Gable and Penta, and I would think Gable wins out. The weigh-in segment to open the show was a bit odd, mostly because they hardly do weigh-ins for pro-wrestling. It was clearly just an excuse to get the Cell in place so Lesnar could use it to trap and troll Oba, and even that wasn’t the most exciting idea. I would think between all the factors of a tiebreaker, Lesnar being home in Minneapolis, and the constant mentioning of Lesnar being undefeated in HIAC, Oba has to win this.
Very good tag match from Vision VS Alpha Academy, and of course The Vision won out thanks to Maxxine. It seems like they keep delaying on the tag division stories, and that’s both ends, not just Raw. Though, I feel like Raw spins their wheels even more than SmackDown on this. Great match from Je’Von VS Rusev, and great win for Je’Von. Rey VS Ethan was also really good, Ethan winning out seems fine, as he and Je’Von can even run it back one more time before one of them goes for the Intercontinental Championship. I’m thinking Ethan gets his turn after SummerSlam, assuming Gable really does win out.
Very good musical promo from #Hendryhausen, though I can’t tell if the fans were really that into the dance number. JD & Dom getting Ryan Garcia to help out is an interesting touch, I didn’t think Garcia would be the Heel here. But then Danhausen upping the ante by bringing back “Something on a Pole Match” is good stuff. I felt like Danhausen was winning even before this, and now this improves his odds. Great match from Sol VS Raquel, but the overbooking ended up way too copy-paste from last time, and then they just flipped the ending where now Raquel wins. Still great for Raquel to win, but it seems that is the exchange for Liv likely losing to Iyo at SummerSlam.
Very good promo from The Usos with Solo and LA Knight that naturally turned into a brawl of them as well as Fatu and Royce. The Bloodline being in retreat, feels like they’re going to win out at SummerSlam, and it’ll probably be because Fatu runs wild on Knight, Solo & Royce. Very good closing promo from Roman and Rollins, but I think I said last week that the contract signing felt like the go-home segment. And in the end, Rollins still stands tall, so there must be something that happens where Roman wins out. Compared to Punk and Cody, it feels like the Roman VS Rollins build has been a bit of reheated leftovers, so hopefully something post SummerSlam really freshens things up.
My Score: 8.7/10
