Kenny Omega retains at AEW Redemption, Willow Nightingale and Maya World win championships, Will Ospreay rejects the Death Riders and WWE Raw prepares for SummerSlam.

Kenny Omega survived Kevin Knight to retain the AEW World Championship at Redemption, but his celebration quickly became another chapter in his increasingly complicated rivalry with Will Ospreay.

Elsewhere, Willow Nightingale, Maya World and Andrade El Idolo captured championships, WWE announced a loaded SummerSlam go-home episode of Raw and Gabe Kidd joined the leaders of the G1 Climax B Block.

Kenny Omega Retains and Drops Will Ospreay

Knight attacked Omega before the bell and repeatedly attempted to use the TNT Championship to become “Jet 2 Belts.” His Crash Landing onto the title earned a close near-fall, but Omega blocked the UFO Splash and countered a leaping attack with a knee before delivering the One-Winged Angel.

The Death Riders attacked Omega after the match and placed his head inside a steel chair. Ospreay initially entered as though he would participate, but refused when Jon Moxley offered him a plastic bag to use against the champion.

Ospreay attacked the Death Riders, discarded his faction kneepad and returned the AEW World Championship to Omega. Rather than accept the gesture, Omega delivered a One-Winged Angel to the man scheduled to challenge him at All In.

The closing sequence officially removed Ospreay from the Death Riders while making it clear that Omega has no interest in trusting him. Ospreay may have saved the champion from a serious attack, but Omega remembers everything his challenger did before finally finding his conscience.

Willow Nightingale Wins AEW Women’s World Championship

Nightingale defeated Thekla to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion and secure a championship defense against Mercedes Moné at All In.

Skye Blue interfered on Thekla’s behalf, but Nightingale powerbombed her outside the ring. Thekla attempted to capitalize with a spear, only for Nightingale to counter into a backslide for the championship-winning pin.

The victory makes Nightingale the first woman to complete AEW’s Triple Crown after previously holding the TBS and Women’s Tag Team championships. She celebrated by placing the title inside the backpack Orange Cassidy brought to the ring.

Maya World and Andrade El Idolo Capture Gold

Maya World ended Hikaru Shida’s TBS Championship reign with a bridging fallaway slam. The 24-year-old entered Redemption after reaching the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final and left with her first AEW championship.

Andrade El Idolo defeated Mark Davis to win the AEW National Championship, giving Redemption three title changes despite the company’s two leading men’s championships remaining with Omega and Kyle Fletcher.

Fletcher retained the International Championship against Bandido after surviving the 21-Plex and delivering a teardrop brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle. “Speedball” Mike Bailey won the six-man Ladder Match earlier in the show and will challenge Fletcher at AEW Grand Slam Mexico.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage also retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship against PAC and Claudio Castagnoli. AEW subsequently announced that they will defend against The Young Bucks at All In.

What to Watch on WWE Raw

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will meet face-to-face one final time before their World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam.

Their rivalry became even more personal when Reigns criticized Rollins’ inability to sustain a championship reign without suffering an injury. Rollins responded by attacking Reigns and delivering a Stomp, leaving the champion with one final opportunity to answer before Minneapolis.

Triple H will moderate a weigh-in between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi before their Hell in a Cell Match. The controlled setting is unlikely to remain controlled for long, especially with WWE questioning whether both men will make it to SummerSlam.

Sol Ruca will defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez. Alpha Academy will seek revenge against World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, while Joe Hendry and Danhausen hold a concert after embarrassing The Judgment Day last week.

Gabe Kidd Defeats Zack Sabre Jr.

Kidd defeated Sabre in the G1 Climax main event to join Drilla Moloney and HENARE at the top of the B Block with eight points.

Sabre repeatedly targeted Kidd’s knees and nearly secured the victory through an armbar. Kidd survived and delivered two piledrivers, earning his first singles victory over Sabre.

Moloney defeated Callum Newman with the Drilla Killa, while HENARE overcame interference from Dick Togo to defeat Ren Narita. OSKAR handed Aaron Wolf his second consecutive loss and moved to six points.

Shota Umino’s remaining tournament matches have been recorded as forfeits after he withdrew with a concussion. Yuya Uemura received the corresponding victory Sunday.

WWE Has Not Divided SummerSlam Card Between Two Nights

WWE has announced 12 matches for SummerSlam but has not revealed which matches will take place Saturday or Sundayhttps://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/462853/wwe-summerslam-two-night-lineup-not-announced as of the end of the weekend.

The lack of a night-by-night lineup makes planning difficult for fans who can attend or purchase tickets for only one show. WWE used a similar strategy before WrestleMania 42 despite public criticism from Nikki Bella, who argued that fans should know which night will feature the performers they want to see.

SummerSlam takes place August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Both nights begin at 6 p.m. ET, leaving Monday’s Raw as one of WWE’s final major opportunities to clarify the schedule–which is likely to happen.

Omega retained the championship, but Redemption’s final image belonged to the unresolved distrust between him and Ospreay. Their All In match is no longer simply about determining which elite wrestler is better. Omega now believes Ospreay’s moral awakening arrived only when it became convenient.

Nightingale’s victory gives AEW a natural fan favorite to oppose Moné at Wembley. Thekla’s reign ended earlier than expected, but the title change creates a clearer emotional dynamic for one of All In’s largest women’s matches.

Raw now carries much of WWE’s final SummerSlam responsibility. Reigns and Rollins must deliver the last escalation of their deeply personal rivalry, while Lesnar and Femi have to survive a weigh-in that exists primarily to create one final explosion.
