Raquel Rodriguez captured the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship during the final Raw before SummerSlam, while Seth Rollins delivered the last physical statement in his rivalry with Roman Reigns.

WWE also revealed the match lineups for both nights of SummerSlam, Mike Santana introduced his new identity and AEW announced a special event supporting Rebel and the fight against ALS.

Raquel Rodriguez Wins Women’s Intercontinental Championship

Raquel Rodriguez defeated Sol Ruca to capture the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, earning her first singles championship since joining WWE’s main roster.

Roxanne Perez and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan attempted to help Rodriguez before IYO SKY arrived to support Ruca. Rodriguez ultimately powered out of the Sol Snatcher and connected with the Tejana Bomb to end Ruca’s championship reign.

Raw concluded with the final confrontation between World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Reigns initially dropped Rollins with a Spear, but Rollins recovered and delivered a Stomp to leave the champion down before their SummerSlam rematch.

Brock Lesnar also refused to enter Hell in a Cell for his scheduled weigh-in with Oba Femi. Lesnar locked the cell from outside while Paul Heyman claimed he weighed 303 pounds, one pound more than Femi.

Rodriguez’s victory places another championship inside The Judgment Day and gives the faction additional power entering WWE’s largest event of the summer. Rollins, meanwhile, leaves Los Angeles with the psychological advantage over Reigns, even if attacking the champion before the match guarantees nothing once the bell rings.

WWE Reveals Both SummerSlam Match Cards

WWE has officially divided the 12 announced SummerSlam matches between Saturday and Sunday.

CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship defense against Cody Rhodes will take place Saturday, along with Brock Lesnar against Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell and Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY.

Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins on Sunday. The second night also includes the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match and three matches with future championship consequences.

Both nights begin at 6 PM ET and will stream through the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited subscription in the United States and through Netflix internationally.

Former TNA World Champion Mike Santana has confirmed that he will compete in WWE under the name Cruz Montana.

AEW Announces Rebel Heart Dynamite

AEW will present a special Rebel Heart edition of Dynamite on Wednesday, September 9, from Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia.

The event will honor original AEW roster member Tanea “Rebel” Brooks, who was diagnosed with ALS in March. Rebel is scheduled to make a special appearance, while fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition Upper Deck trading-card sheet while supplies last.

AEW will make a donation to I AM ALS and Team Gleason. The company is also selling Rebel Heart shirts and bracelets, with 100 percent of the profits benefiting the two organizations.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 AM ET.
