The Front Man is on the hotseat while The Mauler is just outside the top of the block. If The Mighty Don’t Kneel, can ZSJ stay up for one more round? Or will Henare conquer him for the United Empire?

The bell rings and ZSJ BOOTS Henare! ZSJ bobs ‘n’ weaves, UPPERCUTS again and again, but Henare RUNS ZSJ over! Henare runs, ZSJ avoids the Rugby kick to RAM low! ZSJ headlocks, Henare powers up and out, but ZSJ BOOTS him! And BOOTS him again! Henare CLOBBERS ZSJ! The fans fire up while Henare stomps ZSJ around. Henare puts ZSJ in a corner, fires more forearms, and he stomps ZSJ down. The ref counts, Henare stops at 4, and he drags ZSJ up to bump off buckles. Henare CHOPS, ZSJ sits down, and the fans cheer. Henare drags ZSJ up, CHOPS again, then stalks him along the ropes.

Henare HEADBUTTS ZSJ, stomps him at the ropes, but ZSJ grabs the foot! ZSJ twists, but Henare fires a forearm! Henare bumps ZSJ off buckles, then roars as he looms over him. The fans rally as Henare stands ZSJ up. Henare ROCKS and CHOPS on repeat! Henare snapmares ZSJ, KICKS him in the back, then SENTONS but onto knees! Then ZSJ NECK TWISTS! Henare scrambles away and clutches his neck. ZSJ storms up and UPPERCUTS! Henare ends up in a corner, ZSJ UPPERCUTS, and UPPERCUTS, and UPPERCUTS! Henare eggs him on so ZSJ UPPERCUTS again and again! And he BOOTS Henare down!

The fans rally while ZSJ paces. ZSJ goes back to Henare, clamps onto an arm and bends the fingers! The ref reprimands, but ZSJ isolates the arm to STOMP it! Henare clutches the elbow while he sits up in the corner. Henare stands, but ZSJ wrenches to an ELBOW BREAKER, then he UPPERCUTS the arm! Henare clutches the elbow again, but ZSJ is back on him with an armlock. ZSJ has a modified double wristlock, then he steps over to hook Henare’s other arm. ZSJ uses his leg for a half nelson on Henare’s right arm while he keeps Henare’s left arm trapped in a hammerlock! ZSJ pulls back, but Henare bridges!

ZSJ uses the bridge to roll Henare into a headscissor! Henare is stuck but the fans rally up. Henare uses his legs to move around, but ZSJ keeps on what is now an inverted triangle. Henare kicks and finds the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer while ZSJ lets go. ZSJ stalks Henare to a corner, drags him up, and wrenches the bad left arm. Then he wrenches again for a top wristlock! Henare fires a body shot! ZSJ holds on, pushes on the wristlock, repeat. ZSJ wrangles Henare and STOMPS the arm! Henare scrambles away to the corner while the fans rally again. ZSJ tells the ref to go ahead, check. Henare is still in this, so ZSJ walks over to kick at him.

Henare snarls but ZSJ KICKS him again! ZSJ grabs the bad arm, wrenches, but Henare slips through to scoop! ZSJ slips free, KICKS, but runs into the BERSERKER BOMB! The fans cheer while both men are down! ZSJ goes to the ropes, but Henare storms his way over. Henare ROCKS ZSJ, ROCKS him again, then CHOPS! Henare whips, ZSJ grabs ropes, then ZSJ BOOTS back! ZSJ runs up, but Henare catches him for a SAMOAN DROP! The fans rally, and then Henare SENTONS! Cover, TWO! ZSJ survives, the fans cheer, and Henare hobbles as he shakes out the bad arm. Henare goes back to ZSJ, scuffs him, then sits him up.

Henare CHOPS ZSJ and ZSJ drops back down. Henare looms over ZSJ, sits him back up, then CHOPS again! ZSJ falls back over, the fans rally, and Henare sits ZSJ back up. Henare CHOPS again, but ZSJ roars as he stands up! Henare CHOPS, but ZSJ blocks to UPPERCUT the arm! Then he KICKS away on the other arm! But Henare blocks the Penalty Kick to step-over WHEEL KICK! The fans cheer while both men are down again. Henare shakes out the arm, rises up, and he sees ZSJ go to the corner. Henare runs in, NATIVE- NO, ZSJ ducks the knee, then TORNADO DDTS! The fans cheer while both men are down again.

ZSJ shouts as he sits up and the fans cheer! ZSJ goes over to Henare, drags him up, and scoops, but Henare fights the lift! ZSJ shifts to step over, IRON OCTOPUS! The fans rally as Henare endures, and Henare powers up to another SAMOAN DROP! Both men are down, but Henare sits up first. Henare grits his teeth as he nods, and the fans rally up again. ZSJ crawls to the corner, Henare LARIATS him! Henare runs the ropes, but ZSJ BOOTS the lariat! Then ROUNDHOUSES the next lariat, to wrench and PELE the arm! Then PENALTY KICK! But Henare is up to LARIAT! ZSJ rises, Henare runs to LARIAT again! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up as ZSJ survives, but Henare takes aim. ZSJ rises up, Henare runs in, RAMP- NO, ZSJ jumps on Henare for a facelock! But Henare uses that to RAM ZSJ into a corner! And NATIVE KNEE! The fans fire up as ZSJ slumps down! Henare huffs ‘n’ puffs and he hoists ZSJ up top. Henare climbs up, the fans rally, and Henare brings ZSJ up. ZSJ fights back with a DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! ZSJ puts on the pressure but the ref counts, that doesn’t count up there! Henare fires body shots, then a HEADBUTT! Henare brings ZSJ up, and SUPERPLEXES! The fans fire up as Henare rises and goes back to the corner!

ZSJ stands, Henare runs up, RAMPAGE!! Cover, TWO!! ZSJ survives and the fans fire up again! Henare snarls, roars, and he goes over to ZSJ. ZSJ is a ragdoll, Henare’s arm hurts, but Henare still tries the lift. ZSJ slips through to trip Henare and have the arm! Henare clasps hands desperately, but ZSJ pulls at the grip! ARMBAR! Henare hurries to stack, and he stomps on ZSJ’s face! ZSJ lets go and the fans rally again. Henare and ZSJ both stand, and ZSJ eggs Henare on. ZSJ UPPERCUTS! The fans cheer, then Henare ROCKS ZSJ! That only hurts the arm! ZSJ UPPERCUTS again! Henare ROCKS ZSJ again! ZSJ wobbles, but Henare’s elbow hurts!

ZSJ goes back to Henare, UPPERCUTS, then UPPERCUTS again! And again! Henare wobbles, drops to a knee, but ZSJ stands him back up. Henare fires forearm after forearm, even with the pain, but ZSJ SLAPS him! And SLAPS, SLAPS, SLAPS! Henare grits his teeth, and BODY BLOWS! Then HEADBUTTS! Then RUGBY KICK! But ZSJ rolls, so Henare whips. ZSJ reverses, and he catches the Rampage into a TRIANGLE HOLD!! The fans rally as Henare endures and ZSJ squeezes tight! Henare fights to stay on his feet, and he deadlifts ZSJ! POWERBOMB! But ZSJ holds onto the arm, TRIANGLE HOLD!

Henare reaches out again, deadlifts again, but ZSJ slips around! FLYING OCTOPUS! Henare drops to the mat as ZSJ pulls! Henare flails, he’s OUT!! ZSJ WINS!

44 Caliber is on the bubble, but he’s got one more round in the chamber. Can he take down one of the top three? Or will this Souled Out Son of Strong Style steal another victory?

Well, phase one of the plan is already in action as Yoshinobu Kanemaru is running up behind Drilla during his entrance! Kanemaru CLOBBERS Drilla, then HAMMERS him with the bottle! Kanemaru stomps Drilla down while the fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ren goes out to CLUB Drilla! And he whips Drilla hard into railing! The fans boo more as Ren puts Drilla in the ring. The bell rings, Ren stomps Drilla, then pushes him around for even more stomps. Ren CLUBS Drilla, then TOSSES him back out! Ren CLUBS Drilla on the neck, then POSTS him! The fans rally for Drilla but Ren brings him out into the crowd!

Fans hurry aside, and Ren SMACKS Drilla off a seat! Ren then whips Drilla into more seats! STRIKE! The fans boo but Ren leaves Drilla behind in the mess. The ref reprimands Ren, then checks on Drilla. The fans rally for Drilla while he’s still down, and the ring count starts. Drilla rises at 3 of 20, but he hobbles his way back to ringside. The fans rally as Drilla makes it back in at 14! But then Ren drags Drilla right back out to CHOKE against the railing! The ref reprimands but Ren lets go at 4. Drilla falls, Ren leaves him behind, and Ren distracts the ref. That lets Dick and Kanemaru mug Drilla, and even JAM him up with a chair!

Ren puts Drilla in the ring, whips him to the corner, then ELBOWS him down! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer but Ren keeps Drilla down with a chinlock. Drilla endures, even as Ren digs his knee into Drilla’s back. Drilla fights up, reaches out, and makes the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, but Ren holds on. The ref counts, Ren lets go, but that lets Dick HOTSHOT Drilla down! Ren then grabs the legs to CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! The ref reprimands Ren, but this new distraction lets Kanemaru DROPKICK Drilla on the apron! The fans boo more, but Ren drags Drilla up. Ren whips to hit the NECKBREAKER DROP! Cover, TWO!

The fans cheer, but Ren clamps back on with a chinlock. Drilla endures, fights around, but Ren squeezes tight! Drilla still rises up, fires body shots, and CHOPS! The fans cheer, Drilla CHOPS again, and CHOPS again! Ren CLUBS Drilla on the neck! Ren runs, but Drilla hurdles, drops down, and DROPKICKS! Ren bails out while the fans fire up, and Drilla builds speed! Drilla WRECKS Ren with a dropkick! The fans fire up as Drilla hurries to fetch Ren into the ring. The fans cheer Drilla on and he goes to the corner. Drilla climbs, but Ren scrambles away. The fans boo but Drilla hops down. Drilla runs up, but Ren BOOTS him away!

Ren runs up, but into a SPINEBUSTER! Drilla then loads up in the corner, and he runs up, but Ren dodges! Sunset flip, then GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Drilla endures, fights against the body scissors, but Ren holds on tight! Drilla bridges through, but Ren shifts to a headscissors! Drilla turns, powers free of the legs, but Ren snatches him back to the GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! The fans rally as Drilla fights back up! Drilla lifts Ren, but Ren wrangles him back down! Drilla powers up again, but Ren redoes the body scissors! Drilla powers up and around to a fireman’s carry, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Both men are down and the fans fire up!

Drilla rises, he goes to the corner, and he climbs up. But Ren shoves the ref into the ropes to trip Drilla up! The fans boo, but Ren goes up after Drilla for the GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Drilla endures, fires body shots, and the ref counts. Ren lets go at 4, then he brings Drilla out along the ropes, DRAPING BLIZZARD PLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! The fans cheer as Drilla survives! Ren stalks Drilla, reels him in, DOUBLE- NO, Drilla slips free and jackknife bridges! TWO, Ren avoids the superkick, then has the SLEEPER! But Drilla THROWS Ren off, pops him back up, POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO!

Drilla roars, the fans fire up, and Drilla drags Ren back up. Drilla reels Ren in, lifts, but Ren fights it! Ren SHOVES Drilla at the ref! Then kick and DOUBLE CROSSER! Cover, TWO!! Drilla survives and the fans fire up! Ren is frustrated, but he vows to end it now! Ren climbs the corner, and he waits on Drilla. Drilla rises up, Ren leaps, but Drilla dodges! Then THE GORE! Drilla hurries back to cover, DICK YANKS THE REF OUT! The fans boo but Dick & Kanemaru attack Drilla! The fans boo more as they stomp away at the ropes! Dick stands Drilla up while Kanemaru takes a swig, but Drilla switches! Drilla shoves Dick into Kanemaru and the Whiskey Mist goes flying!

But Ren LOW BLOWS Drilla! Then SLEEPER! The fans boo again as Drilla flails! Drilla reaches out, but Dick is back! But Drilla manages to duck, POCKET SAND on Ren!! Drilla then SHOVES Ren into Dick! DRILLA KICK! The fans fire up for Drilla and he drags Ren back up! DRILLA KILLA!! The ref is back to count the cover, DRILLA WINS!

The NEVER Openweight Champion is still a step behind the Prince in this block, but there’s still a chance. Will the Big Bad Wolf huff ‘n’ puff and blow Callum away? Or will Wolf have to Make Way and Kiss the Crown?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They feel things out, but Callum stays just out of reach. Then Callum kicks low, ROCKS Wolf, and whips. Wolf reverses, Callum ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Wolf dodges the boot! Callum avoids the sayanagi, but Wolf blocks a kick, then ducks the heel kick! Callum avoids a lariat, but then Wolf ducks a lariat! The fans cheer the standoff, and even Callum has to smile. Callum and Wolf reset, then Callum runs up, but into the SAYANAGI! Wolf runs, ELBOW DROP, and cover, TWO! The fans applaud while Callum goes to ropes. Wolf storms his way over but Callum clings to the ropes for defense.

Wolf backs away, Callum rises up, and Wolf fires a forearm. Callum goes to a corner, but Wolf CHOPS! Wolf whips, Callum sweeps the legs, and Callum KICKS Wolf in the side! Wolf flounders out of the ring, but Callum goes out to fetch him. Callum talks a little trash, then whips Wolf hard into railing! Wolf falls back, and Callum throws up the crown for the Empire. Callum drags Wolf up, mockingly apologizes, then whips Wolf hard into more railing! Callum then has fans move aside as he brings Wolf through the gate. Callum sits Wolf down, ROCKS him, then gets space. Callum runs back up, but he just SPITS on Wolf before he BOOTS him down!

The fans are torn but Callum leaves Wolf behind. Red Shoes checks, Wolf is okay to continue, and the ring count starts. Callum does pushups just to show off while Wolf is still on the outside. Wolf stands at 10 of 20, and he hurries back in at 15. Callum kicks Wolf while he’s down, then drags him around for a snapmare. Callum clamps on a chinlock, then traps an arm. Wolf endures, fights forward, reaches out, and has the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, but Callum holds on. Red Shoes counts, Callum lets go at 4, then he brings Wolf back to center. Callum UPPERCUTS Wolf down! The fans do applaud the power, then Callum cocky covers, TWO!

Callum sits Wolf up to KICK him in the back! Callum pushes Wolf down, rains down some forearms, then taunts the fans cheering Wolf on. Callum goes to a corner, climbs up, and DIVING- NO, Wolf dodges the stomps! Callum rolls to a corner, Wolf runs in and LARIATS! Wolf then SAYANAGIS! And SAYANAGIS! And then a stalling suplex! The fans cheer as Wolf keeps going, another SAYANAGI! Callum flounders but Wolf runs, ELBOW DROP to the back! Cover, TWO! Callum survives being thrown around and the fans rally up. Wolf catches his breath, Callum stands up, and Callum fires a forearm. Callum wobbles, but Wolf ROCKS him!

The fans cheer as Callum staggers to ropes, and Callum smiles…? Callum steps up to fire a forearm, but Wolf just ROCKS Callum back! Callum leans on Wolf, but then sits back. Callum stands back up, winds up, and CHOPS! Wolf CHOPS in return! Callum goes to a corner, Wolf runs in again, but Wolf blocks the boot. Callum ENZIGIRIS, but then Wolf ducks the heel kick! Callum ROCKS Wolf, then ROLLING- NO, Wolf blocks to SAYANAGI again! But Callum SUPERKICKS! Callum runs, Wolf clinches, but Callum fights free. Callum UPPERCUTS and ROLLING- URENAGE! Both men are down again while the fans fire up!

Callum grits his teeth as he clutches his arm, and he manages to roll his way to center. Wolf also stretches out his bad arm, and he follows Callum to the apron. Wolf brings Callum up, fires a forearm, and Callum sits back again. Wolf stands Callum up for another forearm! Callum sits down on the apron, but he manages to rise up. Wolf reels Callum in, but Callum fights the suplex! Callum fires body shots, then a KNEE! Then Callum reels Wolf in, and aims for the floor! Wolf fights the lift with body shots, but Callum KICKS Wolf in the side! Callum winds up, but Wolf blocks the lariat! Wolf SAYANAGIS on the apron! The fans fire up as Callum falls to the floor!

Wolf fetches Callum, puts him back in the ring, and the fans applaud. Wolf fires up, the fans are with him, and he goes up the corner! The fans fire up already for the WOLF- NO, Callum dodges, and then BOOTS Wolf! Callum hurries to bring Wolf up, suplex INTO OBLIVION! Cover, TWO! But then SLIDING KNEE! Cover, TWO!! Wolf survives again and the fans fire up! Callum goes to a corner, he waits on Wolf, and runs up again, EXC- NO! Wolf catches Callum for a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Callum survives, but Wolf clamps on! KATAGATAME! The fans rally as Callum endures! Callum fights around, reaches out, but Wolf pulls on the hold!

Callum still fights, but Wolf rolls him away to center! KATAGATAME!! Callum is fading, but then he pulls hair! Callum pries free, then he rains down forearms! Wolf sputters but Callum sits him up. PENALTY KICK! The fans cheer while Callum catches his breath. Callum rises up, brings Wolf around, and underhooks, only for Wolf to fireman’s carry! DEATH VALLEY BOMB! The fans fire up while both men are down again! Wolf roars, the fans cheer, and Wolf rises. Wolf brings Callum up, reels him in, but Callum fights the lift with elbows! Callum swats a lariat, ROCKS Wolf, ROLLING ELBOWS, then ROLLING- HAYMAKER from Wolf!

Wolf stands Callum up, but Callum ROUNDHOUSES! Callum runs, but into a LARIAT from Wolf! Cover, TWO!! Callum survives and Wolf grows frustrated, but the fans rally up again. Wolf brings Callum up, reels him in, ANGLE- NO, Callum slips free, ripcords, and KNEES! Wolf stays up, but LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Wolf survives again and the fans fire back up! Callum unwraps the wrist tape to show off the tattoo, and he brings Wolf back up. Callum kisses the tattoo, winds up, and KISS THE CROWN! But Callum doesn’t cover, he paces around as the fans fire up. Callum slashes his throat, vowing to end it now!

Callum drags Wolf up, fireman’s carries, and MAKE- NO, Wolf lands out, to DESTROYER?! And then an ANGLE SLAM!! And then the ARMBAR!! Callum flails, freaks out, but Wolf drags him into the REVERSE TRIANGLE!! CALLUM TAPS, WOLF WINS!!

The NVER Openweight Champion makes the former IWGP (World) Heavyweight Champion tap out!! Is this a sign that Wolf can become the leader of the pack? Will Callum have to try that much harder if he wants to make it back to the top?

G1 Climax 36 B Block: Yuya Uemura VS Gabe Kidd!

Ren Narita fell, Callum Newman fell, and now we arrive at the main event. Will the Heat Storm leapfrog his way to the very top of this block? Or is this The Mad Man’s moment to make himself the elite of the G1?

Tensions are high the moment Gabe steps in the ring, and the two get forehead to forehead. Red Shoes asks they back off, and Gabe shoves Yuya as he steps back. The jackets are put aside, as are Gabe’s beanie and sweatpants. The bell rings, and the fans rally up as the two stare down from the corners. The fans duel, but a large majority cheers for Yuya. Gabe and Yuya still stare down, the anger building. The fans rally up even more, and the two fire up! They run in, and Gabe kicks low! Gabe headlocks, grinds Yuya down, and he mocks the fans cheering for Yuya. Yuya fights up, powers out, but Gabe RAMS him! Neither man falls and the fans cheer.

Gabe pie faces Yuya, so Yuya fires a forearm! Gabe fires back, and they go forearm for forearm! They go back and forth, shot for shot, and the fans rally up. Gabe ROCKS Yuya, eggs him on and slaps him around, so Yuya comes back to fire another forearm! And another! Gabe DECKS Yuya in return! Then Gabe SPITS at him. Gabe stands Yuya up to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! But Yuay blocks the lariat to wrench and YANK the arm! Gabe pulls hair, whips, but Yuya reverses to arm-drag! And HIP TOSS! And arm-drag again! The fans fire up while Gabe bails out! Gabe kicks the railing in frustration, then he paces around the outside.

Yuya waits on Gabe, and Gabe goes back around the other way. Gabe pushes through the gate, and he dares Yuya to come get him! Gabe confiscates a fan’s seat, Yuya tells Gabe to get in the ring! Gabe eggs Yuya on, Yuya eggs Gabe on, and Gabe shows all the space there is outside. Yuya refuses to fall for the bait, and the ring count starts. Gabe kicks the chair over, then storms his way back to ringside. Gabe takes his time as we pass 10 of 20, and Gabe rolls in at 14, just to roll back out. Gabe then goes back out, and he eggs Yuya on again. Yuya still doesn’t fall for it, so Gabe comes back again. Gabe paces as the count reaches 10 of 20 again, then he slides in at 12.

Yuya and the fans applaud as Gabe decides to do this straight up. Gabe calls for a knuckle lock, so Yuya feels it out. They tie up, but then Gabe kicks low! And he BITES Yuya’s forehead! Gabe TOSSES Yuya out, and then hurries to fire forearms! Gabe ROCKS Yuya, and CHOPS him against railing! The fans are torn as Gabe CLAWS Yuya’s face, then shoves him down. Gabe drags Yuya back up, then whips him, only for Yuya to reverse! Gabe hits railing, and Yuya rolls back into the ring! The fans cheer as Yuya tells Gabe to get back in! Gabe hurries after Yuya, but Yuya dodges to arm-drag! The fans cheer as Yuya has the armlock.

Gabe fights up, he pulls hair, and they end up in the corner. Red Shoes reprimands, then counts the break. Gabe hoists Yuya up top instead! And CHOPS him down! Yuya tumbles to the apron, then the floor, then the railing! Gabe goes out and takes the timekeeper’s chair. Gabe brings that around the way but Red Shoes reprimands. Gabe SHOVES Red Shoes, then winds up! Yuya stands, and Gabe CHUCKS the chair into his face! Gabe then drags Yuya out into the crowd, just as he wanted earlier! Gabe CHOPS Yuya down, Yuya flounders in the chairs, and Gabe drags him up. Gabe ROCKS Yuya, and Yuya falls on more chairs!

The fans rally as Gabe clears out more space, but Yuya fires shots in return! Gabe fights the clinch, then suplexes Yuya onto the chairs! Both men are down while the fans rally up! Red Shoes reprimands, Gabe sits up and catches his breath before he drags Yuya up from the mess. Gabe CHOPS Yuya down! Gabe then leaves Yuya behind, and he mockingly tells Yuya to get back in the ring. The fans rally while Yuya is down, and the ring count begins. Yuya stirs at 5 of 20, but is still down at 10. Yuya rises at 13, and he fires up as he hurries back! Yuya rolls in at 16, but Gabe is right there. Yuya fires forearms and CHOPS, but Gabe ROCKS Yuya!

Yuya falls to his knees, but Gabe stomps him to the corner. Gabe kicks Yuya around, then stands him up. Gabe puts Yuya in the corner to CHOP! Yuya is stinging as he slumps down in the corner. Gabe eggs Yuya on, Yuya rises up, and Gabe pie faces him again. Yuya CHOPS, but then Yuya falls back against ropes. Gabe eggs Yuya on, so Yuya CHOPS! Yuya fires a forearm, but Gabe CHOPS again! Yuya falls back against ropes and Gabe makes the fans see that he’s made a literal mark on Yuya! Gabe CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS, then stomps, stomps, stomps! The fans are torn but Gabe drags Yuya back up, then puts him back in the corner.

Gabe whips, but Yuya reverses to arm-drag and ARM WRINGER! The fans rally as Yuya sees the blood from the broken skin on his chest. Gabe goes to the corner, Yuya runs up and DROPKICKS! Gabe stumbles, Yuya wrenches his arm to whip. Gabe reverses, but Yuya goes up and over. Yuya arm-drags again! And DROPKICKS again! The fans fire up with Yuya and his sun pose! Gabe goes to another corner, Yuya runs in and CHOPS! The fans cheer, and Yuya reels Gabe in, only for Gabe to fight the back suplex with elbows. But Yuya still SAIDOS anyway! The fans cheer, Yuya covers, TWO! Gabe survives but the fans still rally.

Yuya storms up on Gabe, but Gabe fires a forearm. Yuya wrenches and YANKS the bad arm, then hammerlocks. Gabe reaches around but Yuya spins him for a HAMMERLOCK DDT! The fans cheer while both men are down again. Gabe clutches the arm, shakes it out, but Yuya grabs it again. Yuya drags Gabe up, wrenches, but Gabe goes to scoop. Yuya ARMBAR BULLDOGS! Then he ARMBAR BULLDOGS again! Then he hauls Gabe up for a third ARMBAR BULLDOG! The fans rally while Yuya pushes Gabe to a cover, TWO! DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! Yuya pulls on the arm but Gabe endures! The fans rally, Gabe kicks around, but Yuya puts on the pressure!

Gabe still kicks, shifts, and makes the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, Yuya roars, and Yuya storms his way over. Yuya drags Gabe up, waistlocks, but Gabe holds onto the ropes. Yuya shifts to a half nelson, then the full, but Gabe still holds onto ropes! Red Shoes reprimands, Yuya CLUBS Gabe, and he has the nelson! But Gabe elbows free! Yuya ROCKS Gabe, runs the ropes, but Gabe ROCKS Yuya, and SNAP GERMANS! But Yuya’s right up!? SNAP GERMAN in return! Gabe’s up to LARIAT! It was the bad arm but it still had power behind it! Gabe storms over to Yuya, drags him up, and suplexes for a BRAINBUSTER! Then he rolls through!?

Gabe reels Yuya in and lifts again, SIT-DOWN POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer while both men are down! Gabe rises, the fans rally up, and Gabe goes over to Yuya. Gabe stomps Yuya, kicks at him, and eggs him on again. Gabe sits Yuya up, then DECKS him! Gabe stomps Yuya around again, eggs him on, and repeat. The fans rally, and Gabe talks trash on Yuya as he rises up. Gabe winds up to ROCK Yuya again! Yuya gets in Gabe’s face! Gabe CHPOS Yuya on the back, but Yuya gets in his face! Gabe SLAPS, SLAPS, and SLAPS, but Yuay isn’t backing down! Then Yuya SLAPS, SLAPS, SLAPS from all sides!

Yuya keeps Gabe from falling over, then fires up as he underhooks! BUTTERFLY SLAM! Cover, TWO! Yuya hurries to the corner, and he hurries to climb, but his back is slowing him down. Yuya still reaches the top, and he takes aim, HIGH FLY FLOW! Cover, TWO!! Gabe survives, but Yuya has the ARMBAR! Gabe hurries to clasp hands, and he manages to shift his weight, only for Yuya to push him back down! Gabe rolls, but Yuya wristlocks! Gabe spins, Yuay wrenches, repeat! Gabe fires forearms, but Yuya puts on the pressure! The fans rally again as Yuya stands over Gabe with the wristlock! Gabe fights up, but Yuya wrenches the arm!

Gabe BITES Yuya’s forehead! Yuya lets go but Red Shoes reprimands Gabe. Gabe runs the rope, but Yuya blocks the Comebacker! Gabe tries the other side, but it’s not strong enough! Gabe ROCKS Yuya, Yuya HEADBUTTS, but Gabe ROCKS Yuya again! Yuya rebounds, into another forearm! And another! Wait, that’s a STRAIGHT RIGHT! Yuya PELES! COMEBA- NO, Yuya ducks the lariat to full nelson! DRAGON SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!! Gabe survives but Yuya fires up again! Yuya hauls Gabe up, traps the arms, but Gabe fights the lift! Gabe BITES Yuya’s ear, then ROCKS him! The kneepad comes down, POINT-BLANK O-KNEE!

Another O-KNEE! And another O-KNEE!! Gabe isn’t done there, eh lifts Yuya, but Yuya fights the driver! Jackknife bridge, TWO! Gabe has Yuya again, PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!!! Yuya survives and the fans are thunderous! Gabe snarls, drags Yuya up, and reels him back in. BUTTERFLY- NO, Yuya fights the lift! Gabe tries a normal suplex but Yuya slips free! Yuya WRINGS the arm, then cradles! YUYA WINS!!

Winner: Yuya Uemura, by pinfall (gains 2 points; Gabe earns 0)

Gabe is shocked that Yuya snatches the win right out from under his nose! With this, Gabe drops from his top spot, and Yuya rises up! Will the Mad Man still have a shot at the playoffs? Or could this be the decisive moment already?

As for Yuya, he gets the mic to tell Gabe, “I thought you were my friend, even in this three-year blank. You chose your own path, and that’s fine. But for disrespecting our President, our Young Lions, our title, NJPW, or this country, I can’t forgive you!” The fans cheer, but Gabe leaves without a response. Yuya still makes sure Gabe knows, “I’ll always be in the way to stop you.” The fans cheer that, too, and Yuya tells them thanks for watching tonight. Yuya knows he’s on the brink of elimination, but he WILL win this tournament and stand at the center of NJPW! The fans cheer again, and Yuya asks if they’re ready. Three! Two! One! OSHA!!

The fans cheer as The Sun is still rising! But will he reach the pinnacle of NJPW? Or will he still be eclipsed in the end?

My Thoughts:

Another great round for the G1 as we get closer to the end, and B Block has become quite the log jam. Half the block at 10 points, but the other half at 8, that makes it hard to say who qualifies, which is the fun part. Drilla overcoming Ren Narita and the House of Torture cheating was a great part, everyone’s aware of their tricks, but I still don’t like that management won’t just ban the House from ringside. But sadly a little too late, he’s already run the table (he and Shota were to be in the ninth round), so he is mathematically eliminated. And even then, there are some tough scenarios, so it probably is more about the top four.
