44 Caliber couldn’t bring down the Giant German, the NEVER Openweight Champion couldn’t weather the Heat Storm, so both men are looking to rebound this round. Will Drilla prove he’s still got that dog in him? Or will he be blown away by the Big Bad Wolf?

The bell rings and the fans rally up already as the two stare down. Drilla and Wolf circle, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Drilla then breaks the hold, and the fans applaud the reset. They go again, feel things out, and Wolf tries for a wristlock. Drilla slips away and chuckles as he says okay, hold on. The two tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, then Drilla waistlocks. Wolf switches, Drilla hooks a leg, and Drilla pries the waistlock open to wrench and wristlock. Drilla YANKS the arm, but Wolf wrenches, wrenches, and wristlocks back. Drilla spins, reaches back to headlock, and he shifts sides to hit the takeover. Wolf headscissors, Drilla kips free, and the fans applaud.

The two reset, circle, and tie up again. Wolf powers Drilla back a step, then to the ropes. The ref calls for the break, but Drilla turns things around. Drilla backs off, then CHOPS Wolf! The bell rings and the fans rally. The two step up, circle, and feel things out. They knuckle lock, and ZSJ tries to power that right arm around but Oskar’s strong. ZSJ manages to twist the wrist, but then they double knuckle lock, and Oskar puts on the pressure! ZSJ drops to his knees, tries to fight up, but Oskar just powers him back down! ZSJ rolls back, reels Oskar in and reverses the pressure! They turn, and Oskar gets under to BACKDROP ZSJ! The fans cheer while Oskar wags his finger. ZSJ sits up, but Oskar headlocks for the takeover. ZSJ keeps his shoulders up, tries to headscissor, but Oskar shrugs it off.

ZSJ tries again, and again, and finally gets Oskar in the headscissors. Oskar endures as ZSJ pushes up and puts on the pressure. Oskar bridges, moves around, but ZSJ digs his elbow into Oskar’s back. Oskar still moves and HANDSPRINGS through!? The fans fire up, ZSJ is shocked, but ZSJ avoids the stomp! ZSJ slips under Oskar, ducks ‘n’ dodge, then tilt-o-whirls into the FLYING OCTOPUS! But Oskar powers up again! ZSJ sunset flips, but Oskar breaks free! Oskar jumps but ZSJ avoids the elbow drop! ZSJ isolates the arm to STOMP it! The fans fire up again as ZSJ stalks Oskar to the ropes, and clamps onto the bad arm.

ZSJ wrenches the arm, bends the fingers, and wrenches to UPPERCUT the arm! And UPPERCUT, and UPPERCUT! ZSJ runs, but Oskar RUNS him over! The fans fire up again as ZSJ flounders to the corner. Oskar shakes out the bad arm, stomps ZSJ in the corner, then stands ZSJ up. Oskar whips corner to corner hard and ZSJ falls to the mat! Oskar storms over, brings ZSJ up, but ZSJ staggers to the ropes. The ref has Oskar hold on a moment, and ZSJ manages to stand. Oskar eggs ZSJ on, so ZSJ UPPERCUTS! ZSJ hobbles, and Oskar CHOPS him down! ZSJ crawls along the ropes, but Oskar eggs him on again.

ZSJ endures being bent back while the fans rally up. ZSJ frees one arm, pushes up, then claws his way over. Oskar shifts to a SLEEPER, but ZSJ makes the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer as Oskar lets go, then Oskar steps outside. Oskar CLUBS ZSJ against the apron again and again! The ref reprimands, but Oskar turns ZSJ over to CHOP! Class rivals are both coming off big wins last round, though only one of them did it fair and square. Will Yuya be ready for anything the House of Torture tries to pull? Or will “The Sun” be eclipsed in Fukuoka?

The bell rings and the fans are all on Yuya’s side. Ren and Yuya circle, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Ren breaks away, and the two reset. They circle again, feel things out again, and knuckle lock. Yuya drops to have a leg guard, they circle like that now, and Ren backs away again. The fans applaud as Yuya stands and resets. They tie up, Yuya wrenches to hammerlock, and he keeps Ren from the ropes. Ren wrenches but Yuya puts the hammerlock right back on. Ren rolls, wrenches, and wristlocks, but Yuya wrenches to hammerlock again. Ren switches, Yuya switches, repeat, and in the end, Yuya has the hammerlock again!

The fans cheer again as Yuya keeps Ren from the ropes. Ren fires an elbow, drop toeholds, then floats to a headlock, but Yuya slips right out to have the headlock. The fans cheer as Yuya puts on the pressure, then SNAP LOCKS the arm! Yuya headstands, then bridges over to put on the pressure. Yuya moves back to starting position, but Ren headlocks. Yuya headstands and bridges again, then twists back to starting position. Ren endures, fights up, and goes to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Yuya lets go, and the fans applaud. Ren shakes out the bad arm as the two circle again. They step up, but then Ren kicks low! Ren headlocks, but Yuya slips right out into the hammerlock!

The fans cheer, but Ren powers Yuya back to ropes, snapmares, only for Yuya to stay on the hammerlock! The fans cheer again, but Ren fights around. Ren fights up, runs around, and he uses the momentum to THROW Yuya out of the ring! Ren hurries out after Yuya to stomp him down. Ren then whips Yuya hard into railing! Yuya staggers around, clutching his ribs, but Ren brings him around to SMACK off the apron! The ref reprimands, but Ren pushes Yuya onto the apron. Ren CLUBS Yuya, climbs up, and KNEE SMASHES to the floor! Dick Togo gets a cheap shot in, too! The fans boo but Dick hurries away.

Ren storms over to Yuya, drags him up, and puts him in the ring. The fans applaud as Ren steps inside, and he stomps Yuya around. Ren grabs the bad leg and SMASHES it off the mat! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer as Yuya toughs it out, but Ren stalks him again. Ren drags Yuya up, has the leg, and SHIN BREAKERS! The ref checks on Yuya, and he keeps Ren back. But that helps Ren keep the ref from seeing Dick YANK Yuya into the corner, and SLAM the leg into the post! Dick then argues with the ref so that Ren can grab a chair! CON-CHAIR-TO with the POST! The fans boo harder as Yuya slumps to the floor.

Ren wants a ring count but the ref has to check Yuya first. Yuya is somehow able to continue so the ring count starts. Yuya sits up at 5 of 20, drags himself up at 8 and rolls in at 9. Ren whips Yuya, ELBOWS him down, then covers, TWO! Yuya is tougher than that, but Ren stomps his bad leg. Ren brings Yuya up while talking trash, but Yuya ROCKS him with a forearm! And another! And another! Ren kicks the bad leg, then runs, and he fakes out Yuya’s arm-drag! Ren whips, Yuya reverses, and Yuya arm-drags this time! The fans fire up as Yuya then DROPKICKS Ren! Ren flounders away, but Yuya rests against ropes.

Yuya clutches his knee but manages to stand. The fans rally behind Yuya as he storms over to Ren and stands him up. Yuya CHOPS, and CHOPS, then CHOPS again! Yuya whips corner to corner, runs up, and CHOPS again! The fans cheer as Yuya then wrenches, hammerlocks, scoops, and SLAMS! Ren writhes, Yuya covers, TWO! Yuya keeps on the arm with a DOUBLE WRISTLOCK, then an ARMBAR! Ren scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Yuya lets go in frustration, but the fans continue to rally behind him. Yuya drags Ren back up, reels him in, but Ren fights the lift. Yuya hammerlocks the arm to RAM it into buckles!

Yuya reels Ren in again, but Ren CLAWS eyes to stop the lift! Yuya CHOPS in return! Yuya runs, but Dick trips him up! The fans boo but Ren catches Yuya, body scissor takedown into the KNEEBAR! But Yuya shifts around, KNEES Ren, and has the ARMBAR! Ren high stacks, TWO! Yuya has the wristlock! The fans rally up as Yuya puts on the pressure! Ren endures, but Dick is on the apron! Dick has a towel, but the ref checks if he’s gonna use it. Ren whips Yuya into the ref! It was all a ploy from Dick! The fans boo as Dick stomps away on Yuya! Then Kanemaru is here! The Heel Master stomps away on Yuya!

Kanemaru stands Yuya up, Dick is up top, and Dick leaps! But Yuya dodges, the DICK CHOP hits Kanemaru! Yuya arm-drags Dick out, DROPKICKS Ren out, then hurries to PLANCHA onto Kanemaru & Dick! The fans fire up as Yuya hurries back into the ring! Yuya builds speed to FLY onto Ren! The fans fire up for Yuya, and he strikes his sun pose on the ramp. Yuya hurries back to ringside, but needs a moment to catch his breath before he goes to Ren. Yuya puts Ren in the ring and the fans cheer. Yuya storms over to Ren, drags him up, and BIG BACK SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Ren survives, but is in the DOUBLE WRISTLOCK!

The fans cheer as Ren kicks around! Yuya rolls Rena way from the ropes, and cording holds! Then swings, but Ren slips through! SLEEPER! But Yuya slips through to hammerlock! Ren slips through to SLEEPER! Yuya switches, Ren switches, and Ren has the SLEEPER! The fans rally for Yuya as stays standing, and he RAMS Ren into a corner! But Ren comes back for a SLEEPER! They drop down, roll out, and Ren has the sleeper on the floor! The ref reprimands, the fans rally, and the ring count starts. Ren holds on tight as he hears the count climb. Ren waits until 10 of 20 to let go, and he hurries back up into the ring!

The fans rally as hard as they can as the count is 15! Yuya is still down at 17, but he springs to life! The Young Lions tell him hurry, and Yuya rolls in at 19! The fans cheer, but Ren clinches and BLIZZARD PLEXES! Bridging cover, TWO!! Yuya survives and the fans fire up again! Ren vows to end it, and he drags Yuya up. DOUBLE- NO, Yuya breaks free to fire forearms! Ren SLAPS Yuya, but Yuya PELES! Yuya full nelsons, Ren breaks it, but Yuya GERMAN SUPLEXES! Bridging cover, TWO! Yuya holds on and the fans fire up! Gabe’s serious about this one as he takes off his Death Riders tracksuit even before stepping in. That’s so he can run up, slide in, and start throwing hands with Henare! The fans fire up as both men stay on their feet! They DOUBLE LARIAT again, then they trade CHOPS and SLAPS! The fans fire up as Henare sends Gabe staggering away. Henare makes Gabe take a seat, then KICKS him out of the chair! The fans cheer as Henare drags Gabe up, makes him take another seat, but Gabe blocks the kick! Gabe ROCKS and CHOPS and ROCKS Henare again! Henare says F U, but Gabe LARIATS him into the chairs! The fans cheer, but Gabe tells Red Shoes to back off. Gabe drags Henare up, ROCKS him again, and Henare stumbles. Gabe brings Henare up, and runs him right into the POST!

The fans are torn as Gabe storms around ringside. Gabe grabs a mic to say in Japanese, “Huh? Huh? What’s wrong? Fukuoka SUCKS!” The fans boo but Gabe soaks up the heat. Gabe CHOPS Henare, puts him in the ring, and reels him in for a suplex and BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer as Henare survives, but Gabe tells them to calm down. The fans rally for Henare as he stirs, but Gabe mocks them before he brings Henare back up. Gabe ROCKS Henare, follows him to the corner, then scuffs him. Gabe digs his boot in, Red Shoes counts, but Gabe climbs up the corner to talk trash and soak up more heat.

Gabe hops down, kicks at Henare, then stands him up. Gabe CHOPS, and CHOPS, then looms over Henare. The fans rally, Gabe says this is a waste of time. Gabe CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Then he HEADBUTTS again and again! Gabe snarls as he HEADBUTTS again, but it’s doing more damage to Gabe than it is to Henare! The fans fire up as Gabe wobbles, rolls back, but runs in, into a fireman’s carry! Gabe fights free, ROCKS Henare, then runs, but into a POP-UP SAMOAN DROP! The fans fire up while both men are down! Henare rises up, steadies himself, then stalks Gabe to the ropes. Henare drags Gabe up to ROCK him again and again!

Henare whips, Gabe grabs ropes, and Gabe BOOTS back! Gabe runs up, but into a scoop! Gabe slips free, ROCKS Henare again, then runs. But Henare scoops for the BERSERKER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Gabe survives but the fans rally behind Henare. Henare stands Gabe up to CHOP! Henare gets in Gabe’s face, then CHOPS again! Gabe slumps against the ropes, but Henare stands him back up. Henare puts Gabe up top, UPPERCUTS, but Gabe just growls at him. Henare climbs up to fire a flurry of forearms! Gabe SPITS at Henare, so Henare HEADBUTTS Gabe! Gabe leans back, but Henare drags him up to the top!

The fans fire up as Henare SUPERPLEXES! The fans cheer again as Henare rises, and Gabe crawls away. Gabe headbutts the mat to fire up, and he LARIATS! But Henare is up to LARIAT! They DOUBLE LARIAT, and then rebound! DOUBLE LARIAT! And DOUBLE LARIAT! Both men lean on each other to keep from falling over! The fans are thunderous, and Gabe fires a flurry of SLAPS! Henare HEEL KICKS! Gabe hits the COMEBACKER! Cover, TWO! Gabe stumbles around but he gets Henare up for a SAIDO! Henare sits up, the kneepads come down! O-KNEE!! Cover, TWO!!! Henare survives and the fans fire up again!

Gabe talks trash on commentary, especially at Gedo. Gabe SPITS at Gedo, Gedo stands up, but Gedo stays at the desk. Gabe mocks Henare and the fans as they rally up. Henare slowly rises up, but Gabe mockingly encourages it. Gabe stands Henare up to ROCK him again! Henare stays up, leans on Gabe, but Gabe ROCKS him again! Henare drops to a knee, but Gabe stands him up. Gabe ROCKS Henare again! Henare slumps against Gabe and down to the mat, but the fans still rally up. Gabe says this is NJPW, huh? Y’all’re EFFED! Gabe stands Henare up, but Henare fires a flurry of SLAPS! Gabe CHOPS in return! Henare ROCKS Gabe!

Gabe rebounds, LARIATAS, but Henare tanks it! Gabe ROCKS Henare, runs, COME- NO, Henare dodges the Comebacker, and the next one, to LARIAT!! And then LARIAT!!! The fans are thunderous as Gabe is sent for a loop! Gabe tumbles out of the ring, but Henare goes out after him! Henare runs up on Gabe, RAMP- NO, Gabe fights the Rampage, and snap suplexes to the floor! The fans rally as both men are down, but Gabe brings out a table! Gabe hopes Henare remembers this from 2024! Red Shoes reprimands Gabe, but Gabe SHOVES Red Shoes down! Gabe then winds up, and CHUCKS the table, but Henare dodges!

Gabe goes and finds a chair, and he stalks Henare. Gabe JAMS Henare up, winds up, and HEADSHOT! The seat pops out, but Henare just snarls! Henare DECKS Gabe!! The fans fire up and Henare storms over to the table! Henare sets the table against the railing, then SMACKS Gabe off it! And SMACKS him off it again, and again, and again! Red Shoes reprimands but Henare shoves him aside, too! Gabe is stuck against the table for the dent his head has made in it! Henare gets Gabe up and RUNS him into the table! The fans fire up while Gabe sputters. Henare storms his way over, drags Gabe up, and puts him in the ring.

The fans applaud as Henare goes to a corner and takes aim. Henare runs up, RAMP- NO, Gabe sunset flips! Henare rolls through, RUGBY KICK! Gabe is up, but into the RAMPAGE!! Cover, TWO!! Gabe survives but Henare keeps moving! LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Gabe survives again, but the fans rally behind Henare. Henare fires up, the fans cheer, and he drags Gabe back up. Henare lifts, but Gabe slips free of the bomb to fire more SLAPS! Henare SLAPS and SLAPS in return! Then he bobs ‘n’ weaves, BODY BLOW, and SLAP! Gabe drops to a knee, Henare clamps on the ULTIMA NELSON! Gabe endures, but he’s fading! Henare puts on the pressure, then lets go to RUGBY KICK!

Henare hauls Gabe up, ROCKS him, then whips. Gabe reverses, and he ROCKS Henare on return! Henare comes back, Gabe DECKS him! O-KNEE! PILEDRIVER!! Then a roll through, and a LEG TRAP DRIVER!!! Cover, GABE WINS!!

Winner: Gabe Kidd, by pinfall (gains 2 points; Henare earns 0)

The Mauler threw all his “mana” at The Mad Man, but he could not conquer the main event! Will Henare have to fight that much harder to reach the Climax?

As for Gabe, he gets the Global Heavyweight belt, shoves Red Shoes, then “drops” the title. Gabe shrugs, flips everyone off, then gets the mic. The fans boo but Gabe soaks it up. Gabe then hushes the fans, just so he can SPIT and drop the mic. Gabe has nothing more to say given what he’s already done. The man who hates NJPW is leading the way in B Block, will he make sure the G1 is All Elite?

My Thoughts:

Another great round for G1, and what a wild move for Gabe to be leading the block, parallel to Konosuke leading A Block. Awesome main event from Gabe and Henare, and I actually appreciate that he doesn’t even give a closing promo. Wolf got a great win over Drilla, Oskar got a great win over ZSJ, and why can’t anyone ever kayfabe-realize to keep House of Torture from going ringside? That’s the never ending logic gap in pro-wrestling. Hopefully, the remaining opponents are better prepared to keep Ren out of the semifinals, or we’ll have to worry about shenanigans even then.
