Chairshot Wrestling News Report (9/29/2026): Jaida Joins 946, Oba Gets Bronson & PAC Tribute Set
Jaida Parker joins 946, Oba Femi gets Bronson Reed at Money in the Bank, and AEW announces a PAC tribute edition of Dynamite.
Jaida Parker joins 946, Oba Femi gets Bronson Reed at Money in the Bank, and AEW announces a PAC tribute edition of Dynamite.
WWE spent weeks establishing Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price as a dangerous problem for The Bloodline, but Monday night revealed there was another piece to 946 all along.
Jaida Parker made her Raw arrival before ultimately revealing herself as aligned with 946, running over Jacob Fatu with her car as the show went off the air. Elsewhere, Oba Femi challenged Bronson Reed to a match at Money in the Bank, Stephanie Vaquer learned how her first challenger will be decided and Lola Vice picked up another important victory over Roxanne Perez.
Away from Raw, AEW announced that Wednesday’s Dynamite will be dedicated to the life and career of PAC, with Tony Khan delivering an emotional tribute before Monday’s Ring of Honor tapings.
It’s the Chairshot Wrestling News Report for September 29, 2026!
Jaida Parker Joins 946 and Runs Over Jacob Fatu
You read that right.
Jaida Parker made a memorable first impression on Raw by revealing herself as the newest member of 946 during the closing moments of Monday’s show. Parker initially arrived earlier in the night and told The Bloodline that she was at the arena to meet with Adam Pearce, seemingly separating her appearance from the ongoing fight between the two factions.
That changed when 946 and The Bloodline erupted into another brawl. Jacob Fatu chased Royce Keys into the parking area, where Keys climbed into an SUV before Fatu was suddenly struck by Parker’s Maserati. Parker then revealed her allegiance to 946 as Raw ended.
The addition makes sense beyond simply giving WWE another surprise. Parker previously worked alongside Bronco Nima and Lucien Price as part of OTM in NXT, meaning WWE is reconnecting an established relationship rather than randomly attaching another wrestler to the group.
It also gives 946 something it needed as the rivalry expands. Keys has emerged as the central personality, while Nima and Price provide size and numbers, but Parker gives the faction another dimension and immediately connects its story to more than just the men’s side of Raw.
Most importantly, WWE has now escalated the Bloodline rivalry twice in consecutive weeks. Solo Sikoa was abducted before his Money in the Bank qualifier, and now Fatu has been taken out in an even more direct attack. The Bloodline can no longer treat 946 as another group trying to establish itself at their expense.
WWE Raw Results — September 28, 2026
Monday’s Raw from Milwaukee featured four matches alongside several major storyline developments. Lola Vice and Iyo Sky earned singles victories, Dragon Lee defeated Big Cass and Penta teamed with Je’Von Evans to knock off Judgment Day before Bron Breakker attacked them afterward.
- Lola Vice defeated Roxanne Perez
- Dragon Lee defeated Big Cass
- Iyo Sky defeated Lyra Valkyria
- Penta & Je’Von Evans defeated Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh
The results themselves were secondary to several of the developments around them. Vice gained another victory over someone she will see inside Money in the Bank, while Iyo capitalized on Bayley distracting Lyra to pick up the win.
Penta and Evans also continued finding themselves on the same side of The Vision problem. Their victory over Dominik and JD should have been a successful end to the night, but Breakker attacking both men keeps Evans directly connected to the faction while Penta prepares for the Ladder Match.
Oba Femi Challenges Bronson Reed for Money in the Bank
Oba Femi called out Bronson Reed on Raw and challenged him to a match at Money in the Bank, with Reed accepting before the two men signed a contract to make the match official.
Oba’s issue with The Vision began before his brief absence from television and resumed immediately when he returned last week to help Je’Von Evans. Reed gives him a considerably different physical challenge than Breakker or Austin Theory, and WWE does not need to complicate the appeal much beyond putting the two biggest men in the program across the ring from each other.
The timing also gives Oba something substantial for Money in the Bank without forcing him directly into the World Heavyweight Championship picture. His return was treated like a major event last week, and immediately following it with a premium live event singles match keeps that momentum moving.
It is also worth keeping Saturday’s confrontation with Omos at Worlds Collide in the background. WWE now has multiple giant opponents available for Oba without needing to rush through all of them at once.
Stephanie Vaquer’s Next Challenger Will Be Liv Morgan or Becky Lynch
Stephanie Vaquer announced Monday that Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch will face each other next week on Raw, with the winner receiving the next opportunity at Vaquer’s Women’s World Championship.
That resolves the situation Vaquer created last week when she offered championship matches to both women. Rather than immediately moving to a Triple Threat Match, WWE is making Liv and Becky settle the question themselves while Vaquer waits for the winner.
The setup also protects Vaquer from becoming secondary inside her own championship program. She remains the destination while Liv and Becky fight over who actually gets to reach her, which is a stronger presentation for a champion still establishing the identity of her reign.
There is plenty of history available regardless of the result. Liv still has an argument about losing the championship to Vaquer in Santiago, while Becky provides an entirely different matchup without requiring WWE to abandon Liv’s complaint.
Lola Vice Beats Roxanne Perez Before Money in the Bank
Lola Vice defeated Roxanne Perez in singles competition Monday, adding another victory to the momentum she has built since officially joining the Raw roster. Raquel Rodriguez attacked Lola after the match before Sol Ruca attempted to make the save, only for Raquel to take her out as well.
Vice, Roxanne and Sol are all already qualified for the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which makes the post-match attack more useful than simply starting another isolated Raw rivalry. WWE can create temporary alliances and personal issues among the participants before placing them all into the same match on October 10.
Roxanne also continues to occupy an interesting position because WWE is giving her significant opportunities without protecting her from losses. She qualified for Money in the Bank and challenged La Catalina for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, but the company is still allowing other rising women to gain meaningful victories against her.
For Lola, the progression remains straightforward. She qualified, officially joined Raw and has now beaten another Money in the Bank participant one-on-one. WWE is giving her reasons to belong in the match instead of expecting the call-up itself to create credibility.
AEW Will Dedicate Wednesday’s Dynamite to PAC
AEW announced Monday that Wednesday’s Dynamite from Pittsburgh will be presented as a tribute to PAC following the death of Benjamin Satterley on Sunday at age 40.
Tony Khan made the announcement before Ring of Honor television tapings in Jacksonville, where he spoke emotionally about PAC before a ten-bell salute and moment of silence. Khan said everyone competing at the ROH tapings was doing so voluntarily and indicated that the same approach will be taken Wednesday.
Pittsburgh carries some additional significance because PAC wrestled Jon Moxley in the main event of AEW’s first Dynamite from the city. More importantly, Wednesday will be the first live AEW television broadcast since his death, giving the company an opportunity to honor someone who had been part of AEW from its earliest days.
WWE also acknowledged Satterley at the beginning of Raw with a tribute graphic identifying him by both his real name and the Neville name he used during his WWE career.
There will be time later to see what AEW television looks like following PAC’s death from a storyline standpoint. Wednesday should primarily be about allowing the people who knew him, worked with him and watched his career to remember him.
Rey Fenix Will Defend the AAA Cruiserweight Championship on Raw
Rey Fenix announced backstage Monday that the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship will now be defended on Raw as well, immediately drawing the attention of Ethan Page. Their confrontation resulted in a championship match being scheduled for next Monday.
The development continues WWE’s effort to integrate AAA championships into regular television rather than restricting them to Worlds Collide specials. La Catalina has already spent significant time across Raw and NXT as Reina de Reinas Champion, and Fenix bringing another AAA title onto Monday nights extends the same approach.
Page is also a useful first challenger because he does not need an extended introduction to make the match matter. WWE can establish Fenix’s Raw championship defenses immediately while giving Page something meaningful outside NXT.
That becomes especially useful if the AAA relationship is going to remain a regular part of WWE programming. Championships become more valuable when they are defended in different environments instead of appearing only when a crossover event needs a match.
Joe Hendry Still Has Championship Goals in WWE
Joe Hendry said Monday that becoming a champion remains one of his primary goals as his WWE run continues. Speaking with CBS 58 in Milwaukee, Hendry said there is little point being in professional wrestling without aspiring to championship success and described his current approach as continuing to climb one step at a time.
Hendry’s WWE career has already taken a path that would have sounded unlikely when the TNA partnership first brought him onto NXT television. He went from crossover appearances to the Royal Rumble and a WrestleMania match with Randy Orton before eventually becoming a member of the Raw roster.
He also appeared alongside Je’Von Evans and Penta on Monday, continuing to find television time even when he is not wrestling. That matters because the novelty of Hendry simply appearing in WWE has long since worn off; the next stage has to be establishing where he actually fits on the roster.
A championship does not need to happen immediately for the goal to work. Hendry has already demonstrated that his presentation translates to WWE, and the more important question now is whether the company can turn that popularity into a sustained wrestling program rather than relying entirely on the reaction to his entrance.
WWE NXT Preview — September 29, 2026
NXT returns tonight with two championship matches and the continuation of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Grayson Waller will defend the NXT Championship against Mason Rook after their heated confrontation last week, while Thea Hail challenges Zaria for the Women’s North American Championship.
- NXT Championship – Grayson Waller vs. Mason Rook
- NXT Women’s North American Championship – Zaria vs. Thea Hail
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Fraxiom vs. DarkState
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – BirthRight vs. Mini Vikingo & Chazz “Starboy” Hall
- Myles Borne returns
Rook earned the championship opportunity by defeating Tony D’Angelo and Saquon Shugars in a Triple Threat Match two weeks ago, but last week’s face-to-face did more to establish the personality of the rivalry. Waller questioned Rook’s hunger and his failed connection to The Vision, while Rook turned the criticism back toward a champion who returned to NXT after already reaching the main roster.
That gives tonight’s match considerably more substance than a challenger simply winning a No. 1 contender match. Rook has been presented as someone trying to prove that his physical gifts can finally translate into something larger, while Waller is attempting to establish that returning to NXT made him better rather than representing a step backward.
Thea’s championship opportunity comes from something much simpler: she pinned Zaria last week while teaming with La Catalina against Zaria and Kelani Jordan. Hail has already demonstrated that she can beat the champion, and tonight she gets the opportunity to prove that result was more than a successful roll-up.
The Dusty Classic also continues after Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno upset Los Americanos and the Creed Brothers advanced last week. Fraxiom against DarkState gives the tournament an established championship-caliber team against one of NXT’s strongest factions, while BirthRight’s involvement keeps its growing issues with Zilla Fatu and the rest of that corner of the roster moving alongside the tournament.
946 is no longer simply three men testing The Bloodline. Oba Femi has his next fight, Stephanie Vaquer will soon have her first challenger and Lola Vice continues gaining momentum, but WWE closed Raw by making its newest faction considerably more dangerous than it appeared when the night began.
Now NXT gets the opportunity to follow with two championship matches of its own.
