Renee Paquette notes we are just moments away from our opening contest featuring one third of the AEW World Trios Champions in Kofi, and the ROH Pure Champion, Lee Moriarty. The two sides are here, and Renee says this is Kofi’s first singles match in AEW, not that he’s a stranger to singles competition. However, he is taking on #TAIGASTYLE, what’s he expecting? Kofi says isn’t this fantastic? This is wonderful! New Level never thought they’d be here but they are here and they’re glad to be here! They’re so happy to be here. They came to AEW to face the best, and Moriarty is one of the best up-and-coming stars in this locker room!

Lee takes offense there. He is not “up-and-coming.” He is the LONGEST REIGNING Pure Champion of all time at 799 DAYS! He is THE best pure wrestler on the planet. Not just ROH, not just AEW, but the entire world! So tonight, Kofi is the one that has to prove something to Lee. See you out there, champ. Kofi VS Lee Moriarty!

While STP goes to the back, Austin Creed joins commentary to say this is a lot bigger than some realize. The bell rings and Kofi circles with Lee. They feel things out, tie up, and Lee wrenches to wristlock. Kofi reaches, wrenches, hammerlocks, but Lee works on the escape. Lee wrenches and hammerlocks but Kofi goes to the ropes. The ref counts the break, Lee backs off, and Lee points out that’s one. Granted, this isn’t Pure Rules, but Lee always prides himself on not needing ropebreaks. The two reset, circle, and the fans cheer for Kofi. Kofi and Lee circle, feel things out again, and knuckle lock. They go shoulder to shoulder in a Test of Strength.

Lee wrenches and wrangles Kofi into a straitjacket! Kofi endures, fights around, and powers up to power the straitjacket onto Lee! Lee wriggles the jacket down, then reels Kofi into an IRON OCTOPUS! Kofi fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Lee lets go, he says that’s two now. Lee and Kofi reset, and Lee wrenches to another wristlock. Kofi endures, fights up, and the fans rally. Kofi uses the ropes to flip through, then he arm-drags Lee out of the ring! Kofi builds speed to fake the dive and scarecrow the ropes. Kofi swaggers and struts, then holds the ropes open for Lee. Lee says okay, but he trips Kofi instead!

The fans boo but Lee mockingly applauds. Things speed up, Kofi drops down, hurdles, hurdles again, but Lee turns hip toss into MONKEY FLIP, only for Kofi to land on his feet! The fans fire up as Kofi is all smiles. Lee runs up but Kofi DROPKICKS him down! Cover, ONE!! Lee is tougher than that, but Kofi clamps on with a wristlock. Kofi hammerlocks, Lee headlocks and chinbars, then Lee whips. Kofi reverses, drops down, but Lee turns hip toss into DDT! Kofi tumbles out of the ring! The fans boo while Lee flexes. Kofi slumps on the apron but Lee goes out after him. Lee puts Kofi back in the ring, then brings him up.

Lee KNEES Kofi, HALF HATCH PLEX! Bridging cover, ONE! But Lee holds the bridge! The fans cheer the neck strength while Kofi crawls to a corner. Lee stalks after Kofi while Collision goes picture in picture.

Kofi fires body shots on Lee, then fires forearms. Lee ROCKS Kofi in return! Lee climbs up on the corner to stand on Kofi! The ref counts, Lee backs off at 4, then wrenches Kofi for an ELBOW BREAKER! Lee wrenches Kofi to hammerlock, then he hooks Kofi to roll him, into a GROUND OCTOPUS! Kofi endures as Lee puts on the pressure, but then Lee shifts to a ghost pin! TWO, and Kofi rains down fists! The ref reprimands but Kofi stops to stand up. Lee DROPKICKS Kofi back down! Lee huffs ‘n’ puffs as he stalks Kofi to the ropes. Lee has Kofi underneath the ropes for a GUILLOTINE CATAPULT! Kofi sputters but Lee covers, TWO!

Lee stalks Kofi again, stands him up for a cravat, and he grinds the neck wrench. Kofi fires body shots, then whips Lee, but Lee goes Spider-Man! Kofi runs up, but Lee catches him into a HANGING TRIANGLE! The ref counts, Lee lets go at 4, then flexes again while Kofi sputters. Lee steps in, stalks Kofi again, and brings him up. Lee CHOPS Kofi in the corner as Collision returns to single picture. Lee whips corner to corner, then runs up for a DISCUS LARIAT! Lee whips corner to corner, runs in again, but Kofi slips outside to SWING KICK! The fans fire up for Kofi as he climbs, leaps, but Lee avoids the ax handle! Lee then BACKDROPS Kofi!

The fans rally but Lee storms up on Kofi. Lee bumps Kofi off buckles, fires UPPERCUT after UPPERCUT, then runs Kofi corner to corner. Lee puts Kofi up top, climbs up after him, and HEADBUTTS! The fans boo as Lee HEADBUTTS again, but Kofi ROCKS Lee! The fans fire up as Kofi fires hands! Lee falls, the fans cheer, and Kofi FLYING DDTS! The fans fire up as both men are down! Kofi sits up, the fans rally again, and Kofi rises at the ropes. Kofi runs up to DOUBLE CHOP! And DOUBLE CHOP! And DROPKICK! Kofi runs again but Lee catches him, wrenches, BELL CLAP! Lee then runs up, but into a BOOT!

Kofi goes up, up, and away with the QUEBRADA! Cover, TWO! Even Creed was surprised by that move! But Lee catches Kofi to a TRIANGLE HOLD! Kofi stacks it, TWO! Both men stand, but Kofi mule kicks! Kofi springboards to FLYING CRUCIFIX DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Not the cleanest hit but Kofi feels he’s close. The fans rally as Kofi brings Lee up, but Lee swings! Kofi clinches, S O- NO! Lee lips through to BELLY2BELLY! Then the bridging cover, TWO! Lee is frustrated but we hit the ten minute halfway point. Kofi rises, dodges a boot, and LEAPING LARIATS! The fans fire up as Kofi runs, “NEW~ LEVEL~” BOOM DROP!

The fans fire up as Kofi goes to the corner. The fans clap along and Kofi takes aim. TROUBLE IN- NO, Lee ducks, then racks Kofi, SPIN-OUT FACEBUSTER! BORDER CITY STRETCH!! Kofi endures, reaches out, fights around, and makes the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer while Lee lets go in frustration. Lee rains down fists and forearms, but Kofi catches Lee into a SLEEPER! Lee uses a ROPEBREAK! That in itself is an accomplishment, but then Lee YANKS Kofi into buckles! The fans boo but Lee pushes Kofi, slips around, and suplexes for- NO, Kofi cradle counters, TWO! Lee runs up again, but Kofi slips around, schoolboy with bridge, TWO!

Both men hurry, Kofi wheelbarrows but Lee blocks it to wheelbarrow back! Victory roll and then EURO CLUTCH! TWO!! Kofi escapes in time! Kofi catches Lee, spins, TROUBLE IN PARADISE!! Cover, KOFI WINS!

Creed says momentum leads to success! And indeed, a big win over a top champion. Kofi and Lee still shake hands to show respect, a Code of Honor if you will. But will this mean all of AEW will be on a New Level?

BREAKING NEWS for Grand Slam: France!

For starters, it is a two night special, with Tuesday Night Dynamite and Saturday Night Collision. Then, a HUGE AEW World Championship match is set for Dynamite with Will Ospreay defending against former mentor and rival, Kazuchika Okada! The Rainmaker is still AEW International Champion, will he become an AEW Double Champion? Or will the Aerial Assassin find a way to survive?

AEW shares more testimonials about “Pac,” Ben Satterley.

The Young Bucks are together, and Nick says Ben would hate it when they compliment him. He never liked it, even when they’d say he was the best. Ben took care of them 20 years ago… Nick can’t help but cry as he remembers them starting in Japan as just 18-year-old kids, scared to death. Ben made them feel at home, and they’ll never forget that. He was a roommate, a bunkmate, he taught them proper Japanese etiquette. Matt remembers being in the dojo and Pac was the one who came up with “More Bang For Your Buck.” He said their original finisher was “not cool enough,” needed more top rope stuff for Japan.

They knew when they started AEW that they had to have Ben on the roster. It hurts, but like Bryce Remburg told them earlier, at least they got to spend these last seven years with him. Matt will never forget the Cheesecake double date. Pac’s the sweetest guy, and they love him.

Will Ospreay and Tony Khan talked out what kind of dream match Ospreay would like to have, should he make it through Kazuchika Okada this Tuesday in France. And they have concocted a brand new match type: Clockwork Carnage! Eight wrestlers, two stages, one ultimate winner! Like a modified Casino Gauntlet, two wrestlers will start but chosen at random, and will be joined by a new participant once every three minutes. Anyone can be eliminated at any time by pinfall or submission, BUT…! Once the eighth and final man enters, the remaining participants enter a 15 minute Ironman phase, scoring as many falls as you can! And ultimately, the man with the highest score wins!

This is quite an innovative match, but will Ospreay even be the AEW World Champion entering his own dream match? Or will it all become a living nightmare?

Well, despite Roderick Strong being frustrated with how things have been going, he is still trying to make it work with Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly as a trio. Will they be able to get back on the proverbial horse? Or will the Ivy League Cowboy and #Soloroto be the ones riding off into the sunset?

The trios sort out and Roddy starts against Griff. Griff does his finger gun dance, but Roddy CLOBBERS him! Roddy bumps Griff off buckles, tags Kyle, and they fire off CHOPS and KICKS on repeat! The fans cheer as Kyle then climbs up and rains down fists! The fans count along as Kyle goes to TEN! Kyle tags Roddy, he climbs up, and Roddy quickly rains down TEN! Tag to Cassidy and Cassidy climbs up! He winds up, to fire off TEN! No, wait, he fires off TWENTY! Then he winds up, on THIRTY! Roddy & Kyle CLOBBER #Soloroto, then they CLOBBER Griff! The Conglomeration reels Soloroto in for a DOUBLE SUPLEX! Then Cassidy DIVES onto Griff!

The fans fire up as Cassidy puts Griff in fast, goes up, but Griff trips him up! Cassidy tumbles down, Griff tags Solo, and The Extra Talented mocks the Macarena! The fans boo this parody of Bandido, then Solo reels Cassidy in. Solo suplexes, but into STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Tag to Comoroto, but Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges to tit-o-whirl and DDT! The Freak Beast tumbles away, here comes Griff! Cassidy puts Griff on the apron but Griff BOOTS Cassidy! Griff aims like a Cowboy, but Kyle & Roddy YANK him down first! Then they TOTAL ANNIHILATION! Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia step in, stare down with Conglomeration, but Conglomeration is not their concern, The Bang Bang Gang are! And as such, The Bang Bang Gang makes their way out here! Will it be #GunsUp like it was at the Tailgate Brawl? Or will this be the start of a comeback?

These trios sort out and Austin Gunn starts against The Decoder. The fans already chant “GUNS UP!” as Yuta and Austin stare down. They circle, tie up, and go around. Yuta waistlocks, Austin wrenches to hammerlock then headlock. Yuta steps on Austin’s leg to bring him down, and Yuta slips out to headlock back. Yuta hits a takeover, Austin headscissors, but Yuta kips free. Austin hits the takeover now, but Yuta headscissors, so Austin kips free. Austin shouts, “WAIT!” Then he winds up with the fans, only for Yuta to CLOBBER Austin! The fans boo but Yuta mocks the finger gun before he JABS, JABS, and JABS!

Yuta dodges his two-step, then runs, but Austin hurdles. Austin JABS, JABS, JABS, then shows Yuta how to do it. “GUNS UP!” and he DECKS Yuta! The fans cheer, Austin tags Colten, and the Gunns YANK the arms. Colten tags Ace, Ace goes up, and Ace AX HANDLES the arm. Ace headlocks, wrenches, then wristlocks, but Yuta KNEES low. Yuta tags Garcia and they mug Ace! Garcia CHOPS Ace, then SLAPS him! Garcia fires shots, Ace blocks one, and Ace cartwheels to arm-drag! Then DROPKICK! Claudio storms in and kicks low! Claudio whips, but Ace DROPKICKS him out! The fans fire up but Yuta mule kicks Ace!

Yuta brings Ace around, whips, but Ace grabs ropes. Yuta blocks a kick, flips Ace, but Ace lands out. Ace BOOTS Yuta, cartwheels to avoid Claudio, and he SUPERKICKS Claudio away! Ace then RAMS into Garcia, slingshots up and over, then BODY BLOWS Yuta! Ace uses Yuta to get up and SUPERKICK Garcia! Then he ROCKS Yuta! Ace fires up, runs up, but Garcia BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, the Death Riders stop stomping, but they all soak up heat from Highland Heights. Garcia fist bumps Marina Shafir before going back to Ace. Garcia stands on Ace’s hair and pulls the arms! The ref reprimands, Garcia stops, but then Garcia steps on Ace. Garcia tags Claudio, Claudio stomps Ace, and Claudio stays between Ace and the Bang Bang Gang. Claudio drags Ace around for a top wristlock, and he twists the arm! Juice helps rally the fans as Ace endures. Claudio UPPERCUTS Ace down, tags Yuta, and Yuta soaks up heat before he stomps Ace! Yuta then drags Ace into a facelock and grinds him down.

Ace endures, fights up, but Yuta keeps him back while Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as the mugging of Ace Austin continues. Claudio clamps onto Ace with another wristlock, but Ace endures again. The fans rally as Ace fights up, up, and fireman’s carries Claudio! Claudio slips down to UPPERCUT! Claudio runs, but into a HEEL KICK! Then he falls onto the fireman’s carry! Ace rises to DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! The fans cheer while Claudio and Ace crawl, hot tags to Garcia and Colten! Colten rallies with haymakers on Garcia and Yuta, then BLASTS Claudio for good measure! Colten hits a CROSSOVER NECKBREAKER on Yuta! Then a DROPKICK on Garcia! Colten tags Austin and they focus on Yuta.

The Gunns double whip Yuta, then Austin runs. Austin ducks ‘n’ dodges, trips Yuta up, then THROWBACK CUTTESR! Austin ducks ‘n’ dodges Garcia to then QUICK DRAW! Tag back to Colten, Claudio runs up, but they dodge to redirect and LARIAT! FLATLINER on Yuta! The fans fire up as Austin sets up, Colten uses him to leap and CLOBBER Garcia! The fans cheer as we revisit Tailgate Brawl’s coach showdown, but then GABE KIDD CLOBBERS JUICE! The fans boo as The Mad Man ruins the fun! Gabe kicks Juice out, goes after him, but then The Gunns run Gabe off! Yuta gives Claudio a lift for Claudio to give it back, MONKEY FLIP SWANTON onto The Gunns! But Ace RANAS Claudio! Garcia rolls Ace up, TWO!! Ace escapes, and ROUNDHOUSES! The fans fire up as Ace storms around! Ace runs up, Garcia dodges The Fold! The Cycle of Violence begins! UPPERCUT, ELBOW, LARIAT, repeat! But when he came to in the hospital, the first thing he told me is he is not quitting. He ain’t gonna stop. And those tag championships aren’t going anywhere.

“And then I thought about myself. What makes me feel most alive? It’s risking everything, and that includes risking losing this (TNT Championship). So Kyle Fletcher, you never lost this. It was taken from you when you were injured. But I wanna give you the chance to win it back. Grand Slam: Paris, Darby Allin, Kyle Fletcher… I just… I need to feel alive. Speaking of the TNT Championship, The Young Goat showed he belongs, even in defeat against Darby Allin. But will he keep on climbing to reach new heights? Or will Angel Dorado finally set a course for gold?

Myron spins through, wrenches again, and ELBOW BREAKERS! Dante spins, wrenches, and snapmares to then low sunset flip, TWO! Myron has it, TWO! Dante has it, ONE! Myron has a side cover, ONE as Dante ghost pins! ONE and Myron has it back, ONE! Myron comes in for a jackknife bridge, TWO! Both men stand, Dante JUMP KNEES! The fans are torn, but Dante half nelsons. Myron slips free of the slam to shove, trip, and cover, ONE! Myron jumps the sweep to LEG DROP Dante!

Dante bails out, the fans fire up, but Daniels coaches Dante. Myron builds speed, Dante slides in, but Myron goes Matrix to avoid the lariat! Myron then kips up but Dante stops the cutter. Dante TOSSES Myron out, CLUBS him down, then sees Myron go around the way. Myron is back up, he ROCKS Dante first, but Dante BOOTS Myron back down! The fans rally as Dante slides out, and Dante builds speed going around the way! Dante DAREDEVIL DROPKICKS Myron through the corner! Dante wants high-fives, the fans aren’t for it? Dante’s a bit surprised to see that, but he ROCKS Myron. They go to the ramp, and Dante ROCKS Myron again.

Dante builds speed but Myron HOTSHOTS him in the ropes! The fans fire up as Myron then RAMS into Dante, slingshots up and over, sunset flip! Dante rolls through, but Myron kips up to DROPKICK! Myron whips, Dante reverses, but Myron springboards to DROPKICK! The fans fire up for Myron as he runs in at the corner, but Dante puts him outside, right as Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as Myron is down. Dante sets up, STANDING MOONSAULT FLOPS as Myron dodges! Dante staggers to his feet, but he heads for Myron on the apron. Myron jumps over the shoulder tackle to GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! Dante staggers away, Myron goes up, but Dante rushes back in. Myron leaps over, then SUPER- NO, Dante blocks the kick, but not the DRAGON WHIP! The fans fire up as Myron fireman’s carries Dante, swings him out onto ropes, but Dante slips down. Dante DUMPS Myron out, then MOONSAULTS to dodge! Dante runs u, Myron catches him again, and then the swing for the HANG FIVE!

Myron puts Dante in the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO! Dante survives and Myron is frustrated, but the fans rally up. Myron points to the corner, goes up top, but Dante ROCKS him first! Dante climbs up, and he hits a SUPERPLEX! But then Dante rolls through to keep going, but Myron STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Dante staggers and flops to the ropes, Myron goes to the far side. The fans fire up as Myron runs in, but Dante backflips up and over! Then he DIVES! Down goes Myron at the ramp! The fans rally, Daniels coaches Dante, and Dante crawls over. Dante drags Myron up, puts him in the ring, then aims from the apron.

Dante aims, but Myron GAMANGIRIS first! Myron builds speed, for the FLAME- NO, Dante lands out of the cutter!? Then POISON-RANA to the floor! Dante puts Myron in, goes back to the apron, but Myron runs back up! Dante goes up and around, GAMANGIRIS, then climbs up for the MAMBA- CUTTER!! Myron turns thigs around, then he goes right up top! The fans fire up as he hits the NO CAP 450! Cover, Myron wins!

Dante was too offput by being booed, and it cost him the whole match! Will SkyFlight ever get off the ground? Will Myron and The Rascalz finally get themselves some titles around here?

The Toxic Spider tells him it’s time to talk to The CEO! She goes right to Mercedes Mone’s private dressing room and knocks on the door. Mercedes~! Come say hi to Thekla~! C’mon, girl, they’ve been shouting at each other from across the building for weeks now, getting all the people excited. But WrestleDream is just gonna be Thekla and Mone, so let’s have a face to face! Knock knock! C’mon, Big D Mone, show us how you swing it! Still no answer. Thekla says she’s Mone’s biggest fan, waiting for this moment forever, just a photo maybe? Thekla slams on the door and asks if Mone’s afraid to get toxic. But then Mone CLOBBERS Thekla from behind!

The CEO wasn’t in her room, she was waiting in wait! She says no one swings better than Big D Mone! See you at WrestleDream, ya stupid little b*tch. And get away from her locker room. Mone laughs now, but will Thekla have the last laugh at WrestleDream?

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross lost at All In, they lost at All Out, and they’re about to crash out! Hasn’t been beat in singles competition for about a year! Who did that? Kofi did that! YES! And it feels good to say that. But you think they’re satisfied with that? You think they’re satisfied with just the trios titles? Nah! They wanna be TAG champions! SINGLES champions! They want it all! So it looks like Kofi should be in line for a bigger opportunity in the future. Who could they be talking about? Who? Who? Who?

Bandido! It sounds like the bases are loaded. And what better place than Grand Slam: France to make their aspirations come true? That’s right! Kofi VS Bandido for THE ROH World Championship! And he feints the senton to then sit Priest up and ROCK him! Now Davis SENTONS, but Priest still dodges! Priest UPPERCUTS and CHOPS Davis, then CHOPS! Priest wrenches, but Davis breaks free and CHOPS Priest down! The fans rally as Davis stands Priest up to CHOP him again!

Priest sputters as he slumps against the ropes. Davis drags Priest up, reels him in, but Priest fights the bomb! Priest RANAS Davis up and outta the ring! Priest keeps moving and he DIVES! Davis is sent into the desk! Rocky is frustrated but Priest fires off on Davis. Priest CHOPS, then stalks him around the way. Priest ROCKS Davis, but Davis THROWS him into the ring. Davis storms up but Priest grabs the leg! DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Davis slumps down, Priest climbs up, and the fans rally up. Davis runs up but Priest ROCKS him first! Priest brings Davis, but Davis CHOPS! Davis scoops, but Priest wrangles Davis, and GROUND DRAGON SCREWS! Priest keeps after the leg, but Davis fires shots from below! Aminata says she and Mina were having a great weekend already. Did you see how Aminata took out Julia? And how Mone took out Thekla? That’s juicy. But y’know what else is juicy? AEW in France on Tuesday! Then WrestleDream is in two weeks! But Aminata doesn’t wanna wait until after all that! They’re gonna do this in France! And y’know Aminata’s history with Thekla? She HATES that woman!

And there’s nothing more Aminata would like to see than her winning in France and finally dealing with that raggedy, stupid-ass little Toxic Spider! Did you know Aminata lived in France? She also went to law school in France. So there is no better place than to crown the queen than in France! Mone, you might be a CEO, but you will see why Aminata is the One True African Woman Wrestler! Mina & Aminata shake it up, but are they about to turn the entire Women’s Division upside-down? AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley VS Jake Doyle!

The Maniac may not have won the world title at All Out, but he held onto this title on a very emotionally charged Dynamite. However, #DangerousDoyle is after a golden ticket to the treasure, will he put a dent in Moxley’s record? Or will Moxley survive this Collision in Kentucky?

The bell rings and Moxley circles with Doyle. The fans fire up already, and the two feel things out. They knuckle lock, then Moxley shoots around to waistlock. Doyle RAMS Moxley into a corner, but backs off. Doyle then SHOVES Moxley and eggs him on. Moxley gets in Doyle’s face, pie faces back, then they tie up. Moxley wrenches, grinds the arm, and he wrangles Doyle to the mat. The fans cheer as Moxley bends Doyle’s arm! Moxley grabs the other arm, and he bends the fingers! Doyle shouts in pain but he endures, so Moxley SNAPS fingers! Doyle scrambles to his feet but has to fall back to a corner.

The fans rally as the two go again, they knuckle lock, and Moxley kicks low to wrench and headlock. Moxley hits a takeover, but Doyle keeps his shoulders up. They fight up, Moxley headlocks, but Doyle powers up and out. They RAM shoulders and Moxley falls! The fans boo but Doyle eggs Moxley on. Moxley and Doyle reset, tie up, and Moxley headlocks. Doyle powers up and out and he RUNS Moxley over! Moxley snarls while Doyle “kicks dirt” at Moxley. The fans boo but Doyle soaks up the heat. The two reset, feel things out, and Moxley headlocks. Doyle powers up and out, but Moxley ducks ‘n’ dodges to RUN Doyle over!

The fans fire up as Moxley flexes, and Doyle bails out to the apron. Moxley waits on Doyle as Doyle returns. They tie up, Doyle powers Moxley to the corner, and he RAMS into Moxley again and again! The ref counts, Doyle backs off, but then he SPLASHES! Moxley sputters, goes to a corner, but Doyle SPLASHES again! Doyle runs corner to corner again, but Moxley dodges! Doyle hits buckles, and Moxley climbs up! Moxley rains down fists, and the fans count along all the way to TEN, then past that to TWENTY! The fans fire up as Moxley roars, but Doyle DUMPS him out! Doyle then runs to BLAST Moxley off the apron!

Doyle stands on the corner as he talks trash, but Moxley stands up. Moxley rolls into the ring, but Doyle DECKS him! Doyle looms over Moxley, clamps on with a neck wrench, and he pushes down on Moxley’s head. Moxley endures but Doyle steps over the arm to keep Moxley trapped. Moxley frees his other arm but Doyle clamps on with a chinlock. Moxley continues to endure and fight up. Moxley powers out to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! Doyle ROCKS Moxley in return! Doyle runs corner to corner and RAMS Moxley! Moxley sputters and staggers, but Doyle is right after him. Doyle CLUBS Moxley in the chest again and again and again!

Doyle lets Moxley fall over, and he paces around while he soaks up heat. Moxley sputters, but Doyle CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref reprimands, but Doyle backs off at 4. Doyle wobbles as Moxley fires off shot after shot, and Collision returns to single picture. Doyle ROCKS Moxley, both men go to corners, and the fans rally up. Doyle runs up and RAMS Moxley again! Moxley falls but Doyle watches him closely.

Moxley rises, Doyle runs up, BODY CHECK! Moxley bails out, the fans boo Doyle, but Doyle just soaks it up. Moxley staggers, falls, but rises again. Doyle waits on the ring count, but Moxley sits up at 4 of 10. Moxley hears the count, he hears the fans, and he takes his time. The count is 7 and Doyle wants it to go faster! Moxley rolls in at 9, but Doyle looms over him. Doyle smirks, pie faces Moxley, then eggs him on. Doyle says this is his time now! Moxley stands up and shakes his head. Moxley fires a flurry of forearms and the fans fire up! Moxley ROCKS Doyle, then runs corner to corner! But DOUBLE LARIATS sends Moxley back!

Moxley is up, DOUBLE LARIATS collide again! Moxley ROCKS and CHOPS, but Doyle snarls! Moxley and Doyle both run, and DOUBLE LARIATS hit again! Both men stay up, and Moxley fires a forearm! Doyle fires back, and the fans fire up as the shots keep going! Moxley fires fast hands high and low, then KKCIKS a leg out so he can fire a flurry! Moxley runs, but Doyle ducks the lariat to SAIDO! The fans boo but Doyle runs in, only for Moxley to LARIAT! The fans are thunderous, and we hit the ten minute halfway point! The fans rally as hard as they can for Moxley as he rises up, but this also means Doyle is ten minutes away from earning his shot.

Doyle stalks Moxley, but Moxley hits a CUTTER! Doyle tumbles out of the ring, Moxley builds speed, and Moxley DIVES! The fans fire up as Moxley knocks Doyle down! Moxley hobbles his way over and he gets Doyle back in the ring. Moxley drags Doyle up, reels him in, “This is Awesome!” as Moxley lifts Doyle! But Doyle BACKDROPS free! But Moxley sunset flips it, only for Doyle to roll through! Doyle gets up, pushes through to a stack, TWO! Doyle has Moxley in position, and he POWER- NO, Moxley fights the lift, wrenches free, and BITES Doyle’s nose! Then he reels Doyle back in, for the PILEDRIVER!! But Doyle sits up!?

The fans boo but Doyle ROCKS Moxley! Moxley falls, Doyle drags him up, and he lifts again! POWERBOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Moxley survives and the fans are thunderous again! Doyle is beside himself, but he huffs ‘n’ puffs as the fans rally up. Moxley rises, but Doyle storms up to talk more trash. Moxley SLAPS Doyle, then flips him off! Doyle ripcords, but Moxley slips through to have the SLEEPER! But Doyle RAMS Moxley into buckles! Moxley jumps on as a backpack! Doyle drops to a knee, then falls to the mat! HE TAPS, MOXLEY WINS!

Winner: Jon Moxley, by submission (denies Jake Doyle a title opportunity)

Jake Doyle is indeed dangerous, but he’s not as dangerous as Jon Moxley! Will anyone ever stop Moxley’s maniac run as Continental Champion?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision to build up Grand Slam: France (or Paris since that’s what everyone was saying and that’s where it’ll be), as well as WrestleDream. For one, Ospreay VS Okada is an awesome choice for a world title match, even though Ospreay is certainly retaining. Also, their Clockwork Carnage idea is a great blend of Casino Gauntlet, Gauntlet Eliminator and Iron Survivor stipulations, can’t wait to see who gets in the match. Very good promo from Jack Perry and another great promo from Samoa Joe, their match is going to be great stuff.

Good interview promo to open things and quickly put some tension between Kofi and Lee going into their match. Great opening match, too, and a great win for Kofi. Kofi calling out Bandido is quite the surprise, but this could help extend the feud of Swerve & New Level VS Hangman & Brodido. Also, of course bootleg Good, Bad & Ugly got beat down hard by Conglomeration. A more serious and vicious Conglomeration per Roddy’s bad mood is actually a pretty fun Conglomeration in itself, but I still don’t see them getting the AEW Trios titles back.

Myron VS Dante was a great match for being somewhat outta nowhere. Great win for Myron, and I’m still hoping The Rascalz can get titles soon. Though that just makes me think how AEW has quite a few other factions out there that could use pushes towards titles, but it’s just not happening. I won’t say the roster is bloated but it’s not exactly efficient if you’re bringing in big names and then not doing much with them. Though, I do think the ROH World Tag Team AND ROH World Six Man titles do need some good stories right now, and there’s gotta come a time when new champions are crowned.

Anyway, Divine Dominion of course won a squash. I like the tease that they might feud with former allies, Triangle of Madness. Julia Hart interrupting their exit plants the seeds for that. Though at the same time, Blood & Guts is on the horizon, are we gonna get another team-up of Divine Dominion & Triangle of Madness first? Maybe Mercedes Mone is also part of the story since she and Thekla feuding. Great bit with Thekla trying to goad Mone into a fight, only to fall for Mone’s trap. Aminata VS Julia was a very good match, and a great win for Aminata. Aminata VS Mone for the title in France is going to be great, too, but like Ospreay over Okada, Mone is certainly beating Aminata.

Davis VS Priest was very outta nowhere, even if there is history between the two from Davis’s National Championship run. I suppose it was mostly to help segue into the main event with Moxley VS Doyle, which duh, Moxley was winning. It seems the Death Riders aren’t going to change who they are in kayfabe just because of what we saw on Dynamite, though. Death Riders still sneaking shots and basically cheating to win over Bang Bang Gang showed that much. But in the way everyone knows Pac/Ben would say, “The show must go on,” that’s this. They’re honoring his legacy but not (completely) changing story from what they were doing. I still do wonder if Moxley’s ever losing the Continental title when he’s on the roll of a lifetime.
