El Bueno, El Malo y El Bueno could not take the AEW World Trios Championships from Swerve Strickland & The New Level, and now the boot is on the other foot! Can The Most Wanted keep his historic run going? Or will #KofiMania run wild in Paris, France?

The introductions are made, the ROH title is raised, and we see who sets the tone for tonight!

The Code of Honor is upheld, the fans cheer, and the bell rings as the two hug it out. The fans cheer Kofi as the two circle, and they tie up. Kofi wrenches, wristlocks, and the fans chant for “NEW! LEVEL! NEW! LEVEL!” Bandido rolls, handsprings, and breaks free to do a two step! The fans cheer and Kofi nods some respect. The two circle as the fans now cheer “Bandido! Bandido!” The two tie up, Bandido wrenches, and hammerlocks to then spin Kofi and wrench again. The fans duel as Kofi rolls, handsprings, and he breaks free to salsa! The fans cheer again and Bandido nods. The two feel things out, tie up, and Bandido headlocks.

Kofi endures, powers up and out, then drops. Bandido rolls, comes back to whip, but Kofi reverses. Bandido slips through, Kofi avoids the handspring, and Kofi stops the finger gun! Bandido breaks free, Kofi blocks the hip toss but Bandido turns the counter into a MONKEY FLIP, but Kofi lands out! The fans fire up again as the two reset. Kofi struts around, then rushes up, but Bandido slips around. Bandido spins Kofi but Kofi jumps up to MONKEY FLIP, but Bandido lands out! And he does a salsa of his own! The fans cheer as the two step up. Bandido trips Kofi, covers, ONE! Bandido jumps Kofi’s sweep, and dropkicks cancel out!

The fans sing as Bandido kips up again, but Kofi DROPKICKS him out! Kofi then builds speed, and he fakes Bandido out to scarecrow! The fans cheer, but Bandido rushes up. Kofi DROPKICKS Bandido down again, then FLIES! The fans cheer as Kofi stands tall! Kofi then puts Bandido back in, climbs up the corner, and CROSSBODIES, but Bandido catches him! Bandido swings Kofi up, holds him, and counts it out! The fans count along, Bandido goes to DIEZ, or perhaps, DIX! And then past ten to TWENTY/VEINTE/VINGT! The fans cheer while both men are down! But wait, here comes Swerve & Nana to join Creed ringside in coaching Kofi.

But then same goes for Hangman Page! He’s here to join Brody King in coaching Bandido! The fans cheer as Swerve gets heated over Hangman being here, but Dynamite goes picture in picture!

Bandido rises up, high-fives Hangman, then kicks Kofi to a corner. Bandido hears the fans, and he runs corner to corner to LARIAT! Bandido RAMS into Kofi again and again, then rolls, runs, and RAMS in again! Kofi stumbles away but Bandido stalks him to another corner. Bandido fires forearms, then runs corner to corner. Kofi dodges, then comes back to ROCK Bandido! Kofi whips Bandido corner to corner, runs up, and KNEES Bandido down! Then he jump stomps! And jump stomps! And jump stomps again! The ref has Kofi back off, but he runs corner to corner to DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Bandido is tougher than that but Kofi keeps calm.

Kofi drags Bandido up, HEADBUTTS, then UPPERCUTS! Kofi brings Bandido around, UPPERCUTS, then runs, but into a military press! Bandido LAWN DARTS Kofi into buckles, then runs to SHOTGUN BOOT! Cover, TWO! Kofi survives but Bandido stays on him with stomps. Bandido digs his boot in, but stops as the ref counts 4. Grand Slam returns to single picture as Bandido whips, but Kofi reverses! Kofi mule kicks, then runs to FAMOUSER! The fans fire up while both men are down! Kofi rises up, he and Bandido go to ropes, and Kofi runs up to DOUBLE CHOP! And DOUBLE CHOP! And DROPKICK!

Kofi rises up, runs, but Bandido dodges! Bandido kicks low, then whips Kofi to the corner. Kofi slips outside and SWING KICKS Bandido! Kofi goes up, up, and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up again as Bandido survives. Kofi runs to LEAPING LARIAT! Kofi keeps moving, and he “NEW~ LEVEL~” BOOM DROPS! The fans fire up again as Kofi goes to a corner. Kofi claps, “NEW! LEVEL! NEW! LEVEL!” Kofi aims, spins, but Bandido ducks to then swings! Kofi slips around to waistlock, and he shoves Bandido to a corner. Bandido SUPERKICKS, then goes up to TORNILLO! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up as Kofi survives!

Creed says Kofi got that dawg in him! Bandido gut wrenches, but Kofi slips free! Bandido switches, shoves, but Kofi springboards to FLYING CHUCK! Cover, TWO! Bandido survives and the fans fire back up! Kofi brings Bandido up, but Bandido fires forearms! Bandido winds up, but Kofi kick slow! Kofi runs, but Bandido follows to ROCK Kofi! Bandido runs, but Kofi follows to ROCK Bandido! Kofi runs, but Bandido POP-UP BOOTS Kofi! Then Bandido runs, but into a JUMP STOMP! The fans fire up while both men are down again! “This is Awesome!” as Kofi climbs up a corner. Bandido is far away, though, can Kofi make that jump?

Kofi decides no, and he runs up, but into a BOOT! KICK! SUPERKICK! Bandido goes up, AX- NO, Kofi catches Bandido for the S O S into buckles!! A remix on the classic and Creed loves it! Kofi drags himself to the apron while Bandido flops into the drop zone. The fans rally again as Kofi climbs. Kofi aims, SPLASH to the back! Cover, TWO! Bandido survives that back splash but Kofi drags him back into the drop zone. Kofi climbs up again, but Bandido GAMANGIRIS first! Bandido goes up after Kofi, brings him tot he very top, and scoops for the SUPER FALL AWAY SPLASH!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Kofi survives by fingertips!

The fans fire up as Bandido brings Kofi up. Bandido gut wrenches to the torture rack, and then he flips the card, X- NO, Kofi blocks to S O S!! Cover, TWO!! Bandido survives, and now Hangman and swerve get into it! The fans fire up but Brody, Creed and Nana try to stop this! Bandido hits the DEADLIFT BLACKJACK 21!! Bridging cover, Bandido wins!

Bandido hit the “Point 5” and seals the deal! The Most Wanted is unstoppable as ROH World Champion, but will there ever be an end to the grudge between Swerve and Hangman?

Backstage interview with Will Ospreay & Mike Bailey.

Renee Paquette is with The United Empire’s AEW branch and brings up tonight’s main event: the AEW World Championship is on the line, and should Ospreay retain, he goes on to WrestleDream to enter the first-ever Clockwork Carnage. Ospreay says yes, he and Kazuchika Okada have faced each other 1v1 thirteen times, and sadly, Ospreay’s won 11 of them. That shows why Okada is the Rainmaker, and why Ospreay needs this. Ospreay needs to win this match and move on. If Ospreay doesn’t, that’s not just losing the title, that’s a massive blow to his ego.

Clockwork Carnage is Ospreay’s idea, combining Casino Gauntlet and Ironman match for the ultimate endurance test. Plus, it gives seven opportunities to seven very deserving wrestlers. Speedball says he has been meaning to say… And then he speaks French, and Ospreay says that’s his one weakness. Bailey translates it by saying he wants to participate in Clockwork Carnage. And it just so happens that for Grand Slam: France Collision, he has a qualifier. So when Bailey wins, he will see Ospreay at WrestleDream and he won’t hold anything back. Wow, turning on him already. Nah, Ospreay’s kidding, he knows that they can bring the best out in each other.

So if Ospreay sees Bailey there, he’ll see him there. Ospreay asks Paris if they’re ready. Because The Billy Goat is about to enter the building and he is ready! LET’S GO, LADS! The Empire heads out, but will they both be leaving the City of Lights to head for Orlando?

Clockwork Carnage Qualifier: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Samoa Joe!

Speaking of those opportunities, Jungle Jack earned his chance to face Samoa Joe by getting through Katsuyori Shibata. And now, both men are fighting to earn their chance at THE AEW World Championship! Will there still be Tarzan Life inside Jack? Or will he learn that Joe IS gonna kill his WrestleDream?

The bell rings and Jack runs up on Joe! But Joe FLAPJACKS Jack down! The fans fire up as Joe JABS Jack and Jack goes to the corner. Joe runs in, but Jack dodges! Jack CHOPS, but Joe frowns. Jack CHOPS again, but Joe sighs. Jack CHOPS, Joe SHOVES him down! Jack comes back to SHOTGUN! Jack then ROCKS Joe, shoves him, and KICKS away in a corner! The fans sing, “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” as the ref counts. Jack stops, whips, but Joe reverses, only for Jack to COMEBACKER LARIAT! The fans fire up with Jack while Joe is frustrated. Joe sits up but Jack CLUBS him. Jack has Joe in a corner, runs in again, and ROCKS Joe again!

Joe stumbles, Jack runs, but Joe catches him for the URENAGE! The fans fire up again while Joe paces around. Joe waits on Jack but Jack slides outside. Joe builds speed and- NO, Jack moves so Joe slides out instead of dives out. Joe then ELBOWS Jack down! Joe stalks Jack, drags him up, and CHOPS! The ref starts the ring count but Joe stalks Jack around the way. The fans cheer while Joe refreshes the ring count. Joe CHOPS Jack into the front row! The fans cheer as Joe then stands Jack up. Joe suplexes Jack to the floor! Jack writhes while the ring count passes 5 of 10. Joe looms over Jack, drags him up, then puts him in the ring.

Joe stalks Jack, snapmares him, then CHOPS him on the back! And KICKS him in the front! Joe runs, but then salutes before the ELBOW DROP! The fans cheer while Jack flounders to the apron. Joe smirks while Jack sputter and coughs, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Joe storms over, drags Jack up, and he reels Jack in for a HEADBUTT! Jack falls but Joe sits him up to clamp on a shoulder claw! Jack endures, fights around, and rises up. Jack fires body shots, but Joe THROWS Jack down by his hair! The ref reprimands but Joe doesn’t care. Joe talks some trash while Jack goes to the corner. Jack CHOPS Joe, CHOPS again, then CHOPS again! Jack fires up, CHOPS again and again, and again! Joe CHOPS Jack off his feet! Joe looms over Jack as he sputters. Joe drags Jack up, CHOPS him down again, then takes a bow. Joe paces while Jack crawls to the corner, and Joe eggs him on.

Jack kicks at Joe, but Joe JABS! And JABS! And JABS! Joe whips corner to corner, runs up, but Jack slips outside. Grand Slam returns to single picture as Jack goes up, but Joe says NOPE! The Quebrada FLOPS and the fans are thunderous! Joe goes back to Jack for a CHOP! Jack falls again, but he rises back up. Joe CHOPS Jack back down, but Jack gets back up! Joe CHOPS Jack down, but Jack is right up! So Joe JABS, JABS, JABS, repeat! Jack gets in Joe’s face, so Joe shoves, but Jack SUPERKICKS! The fans fire up as Joe now falls back! Joe goes to the apron, but he comes back, only to end up in a corner.

Jack climbs up, and the fans sing and wave their arms as Jack rains down fists! Jack goes all the way to DIX, then sits Joe down. Jack stomps Joe again and again, and he goes all the way to DIX! The fans cheer and Jack runs the ropes, but Joe ELBOWS him down! The fans cheer Joe as he runs, but Jack DROPKICKS! The fans cheer Jack as he roars! Jack reels Joe in, but that’s a lot to lift! Joe BACKDROPS Jack, but Jack sunset flips it! TWO, but into the SNARETRAP!! Joe reaches out and crawls forward, ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer while Jack lets go in frustration. Jack and Joe both go outside, and Jack TIGER FEINT KICKS using the post!

Joe staggers, Jack runs up, but Joe URENAGES Jack to the floor! The fans fire up as Joe considers his options. Joe leaves Jack down on the ground while the ring count climbs. Jack sputters at 6 of 10, the fans rally up, but Jack is still down at 9! Jack springs to life at 9.99!! The fans cheer as Jack survives, and he defiantly flips Joe off! Joe drags Jack to center for a SENTON! Then the COQUINA CLUTCH! Jack rolls it back to a cover! TWO!! Joe escapes, runs up, but Jack BOOTS him! And SUPERKICKS! Jack goes up, but Joe GAMANGIRIS! The fans fire up as Joe has Jack. Jack SPITS at Joe! So Joe tucks Jack in for the MUSCLE BUSTER! Cover, Joe wins!

Winner: Samoa Joe, by pinfall (advances to Clockwork Carnage)

Jungle Jack did not make it easy, but Joe still showed him what it is to be a killer. Will Samoa Joe demolish the entire field to prove he is still the best?

Kazuchika Okada speaks.

“I have been told that my English has gotten very good. But wait until you hear my French!” In French, Okada says Paris is like a toilet, and the people of Paris are like pollution. At least, that’s what it sounds like. Okada says pretty good, right? Well, what he does next will be even more impressive. He’ll make history tonight, and France will have to build a monument in his honor! Le Arc du Okada! Then Will Ospreay will have to say au revoir to his title! Because tonight, The Rainmaker becomes the NEW AEW World Champion! Is Okada about to become a double champion on the road to WrestleDream?

Jon Moxley & Gabe Kidd VS Mark Davis & Jake Doyle!

The Maniac & Mad Man are raring for a fight, and they’ve certainly been wanting after the Don Callis Family like everyone else. But will the AEW Continental Champion and his dog be able to bring down two dangerous giants? Or will Davis & Doyle be on a roll like dice?

The teams sort out and Gabe starts against Davis. The bell rings, they RAM, then Gabe CHOPS! Davis CHOPS back, the CHOPS go back and forth, and the fans fire up! Gabe CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! The fans fire up with every CHOP, then Gabe ROCKS Davis! Gabe headlocks and grinds the hold, but Doyle tags in. Davis powers up and out, D&D DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE Gabe! The fans boo but Gabe backs away to the corner. Moxley tags in and the fans cheer. Moxley and Doyle circle, step up, and Moxley gets pumped up. Moxley runs to RAM Doyle, but Doyle doesn’t budge! Moxley runs to RAM Doyle again, but Doyle stays up!

Moxley runs, RAMS, Doyle rebounds, but Moxley dodges! Moxley RUNS Doyle over! The fans fire up as Moxley then wrenches Doyle, tags Gabe, then snapmares Doyle for a SLIDING LARIAT! Gabe adds a SENTON! Cover, TWO! The fans rally behind Gable while he talks trash on Davis. Gabe then CHOPS Doyle, HEADBUTTS, CHOPS again, repeat! Gabe HEADBUTTS again and again and again, and again and again! The ref reprimands but the fans fire up as Gabe roars! Gabe stumbles back, rolls, and returns to- LARIAT from Doyle! Doyle runs up on Gabe, but Gabe dodges to LARIAT Doyle! The fans fire up but here comes Davis!

Gabe intercepts but Davis wrenches through to turn and DREAM SMASHER ELBOW! Moxley runs in, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then LARIATS! Davis stays up and roars! Davis then kicks low, runs, but Moxley KNEES low! Moxley runs, and he LARIATS Davis up and out! A rough tumble for Davis but he stands,  only for Moxley to DIVE! Wait Davis catches Moxley and shoves him back! Moxley returns, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! The fans fire up, but now Doyle and Gabe run up! They DOUBLE LARIAT, stagger, and DOUBLE LARIAT again! They fire up, DOUBLE LARIAT, then DOUBLE LARIAT again and again!

Gabe eggs Doyle on, they both run, and they DOUBLE LARIAT themselves down! But then they’re right back up! Gabe headbutts buckles to fire back up, then he and Doyle DOUBLE LARIAT again! They stagger, then fall! The fans are loving it as Doyle and Gable slowly roll out of the ring. Moxley is there to coach Gabe while the fans cheer “A E DUB!” and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Gabe shakes it off and Moxley helps him fire back up. The Death Riders huddle up and do their rugby circle while Davis & Doyle also regroup. Moxley & Gabe then rush around the ring, and they meet Davis & Doyle for DOUBLE DOUBLE LARIATS! They brawl, Gabe SMACKS Doyle off the apron, Moxley ROCKS Davis, but Doyle blocks a suplex! Doyle powers out to then ROCK Gabe! Moxley sends Davis into railing! Doyle storms around, brings Gabe around, Davis CLOBBERS Moxley in return, and Gabe ROCKS Doyle. Davis is after Gabe and sends him into Doyle’s LARIAT! Davis & Doyle soak up heat but the ref reprimands.

Davis drags Gabe up to put him in the ring for Doyle. Doyle stomps Gabe around, then drags him over to tag Davis. The big men mug Gabe while Dynamite goes to break.

Grand Slam returns as Moxley steps over on Doyle to wrangle him into an ARMBAR! The fans fire up but Doyle fights around! Doyle rolls back, Mox rolls with him, and shifts into the BULLY CHOKE! Doyle powers up and pushes up fast, but ends up in a regular SLEEPER! Doyle runs to ropes, HOTSHOTS Moxley, and Davis runs in for the REBOUND! Davis BLASTS Gabe, then goes out after him! Doyle hoists Moxley up to POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Moxley survives and the fans fire up again! Doyle huffs ‘n’ puffs but he tags in Davis. The big men stomp away on Moxley while the fans boo. Davis & Doyle then drag Moxley up.

Marina coaches Gabe but he’s still down. Davis gut wrenches but Moxley fights the lift! Moxley slips under, then CUTTERS! The fans fire up as Moxley crawls! Davis also crawls, hot tag to Gabe first! The Mad Man dodges Doyle to CHOP! HEADBUTT! LARIAT! Doyle falls, the fans cheer, but Davis is back! Davis gut wrenches, Gabe slips free and LARIATS! Davis stays up, Gabe LARIATS again! Gabe runs, but into an ENZIGIR! Davis runs to hit the RE- NO! Gabe dodges, but then Davis dodges! Gabe hits the COMEBACKER! Cover, TWO! Davis survives but Gabe headbutts buckles to fire up again! Marina and the fans like it!

Gabe suplexes, BRAINBUSTER! Cover, but Doyle breaks it! The fans boo and Marina protests, but Doyle drags Gabe up. Doyle reels Gabe in, but Moxley clamps onto Doyle with a SLEEPER! Doyle and Moxley tumble out of the ring, Gabe brings down his kneepad! O-KNEE!! Gabe isn’t done, he lifts Davis, only for Davis to BACKDROP! Gabe sunset flips, Davis rolls through, but Gabe avoids the sliding lariat! Davis SWATS Gabe’s lariat! SAIDO! But Gabe’s right up!? SAIDO! Davis is right up! He LARIATS Gabe inside-out! The fans boo but Davis says COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, Davis & Doyle win!!

Moxley is upset, the fans is upset, but is this an upset with how powerful Mark Davis has proven to be? Well, BREAKING NEWS! Tony Khan says this win is enough to give Mark Davis a shot at the AEW Continental Championship for WrestleDream! Will Dunkzilla bulldoze his way through Orlando to bring a title home to the Don Callis Family?

Nick Wayne speaks.

Say that you see me beating the biggest stars on the biggest shows! Say that I’m gonna be a star! Say it! I may not respect Chris Jericho, but I’m man enough to admit I respect everything that you’ve done.

“And what does that say for me? Grand Slam: France, when I beat you, it’s that I’m better you were then, and I’m so much better than you are now.” The Prodigy is ready to prove himself this Saturday for the Collision edition of Grand Slam: France, but will he shine in the City of Lights? Or will that Collision leave him floundering in the dark?

AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin VS Kyle Fletcher!

The Relentless One didn’t have to give The Protostar this match, but being a fighting champion, he also wanted to prove he’s the rightful champion given Kyle Fletcher never lost this title. Will Darby make himself quite the speedbump on Kyle’s road to WrestleDream? Or will Kyle be on his way to becoming a double champion?

The bell rings and the fans fire up for Darby already. Darby stares Kyle down, then circles with him. Darby pumps himself up, storms up, and forearms fly already! The fans cheer but Kyle puts Darby in the corner to fire a flurry! The ref counts, Kyle backs off to run corner to corner, only for Darby to SHOTGUN Kyle out! Darby does some Butcher steps and DIVES, but Kyle catches him! Kyle pops Darby around, to LAWN DART into railing! The fans fire up again, and Kyle gets space as fans cheer “Both These Guys! Both These Guys!” Kyle lines up as hot, runs at Darby, but Darby dodges! Kyle runs into railing, then Darby fires forearms! Darby BITES Kyle’s ear!

The ref reprimands, but Darby goes to the ring. Darby climbs the corner, stands on the post, and he SUPER CROSSBODIES Kyle into the timekeeper’s area! The table doesn’t break but the fans still go nuts! Both men are down and Kyle sputters. Darby rolls into the ring and the fans cheer him on. The ring count climbs, Kyle manages to stand, and Kyle hobbles his way back to the ring. Darby DIVES into Kyle first! Kyle is sent into the desk and the fans fire up again! Darby then starts clearing desks, both English and French commentary! Darby puts Kyle on the desk, the fans fire up again, and Darby brings Kyle up.

Kyle fires body shots, he ROCKS Darby, then he reels Darby in! Kyle suplexes, but Darby knees free! Darby SLAPS Kyle, ROCKS him again and again, then lines up a shot! Darby runs up, but Kyle BACKDROPS him, and Darby flips 450 to SMASH onto the other desk! The fans go nuts again while Darby flops to the floor. Kyle storms his way over, puts Darby in the ring, and “This is Awesome!” Kyle hobbles in while the fans duel. Kyle stomps Darby, stalks him to the apron, then drags him up. Darby RAMS into Kyle, slingshots up and over, but Kyle rolls through the sunset flip! Darby trips Kyle into the GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Darby has the body scissors on!

The fans fire up as Kyle endures and powers up! Kyle powers out to scoop SLAM! Kyle huffs ‘n’ puffs while the fans cheer. Kyle stalks Darby, drags him up, and scoops to SLAM again! Kyle stands on the corner to flex and the fans are conflicted. Kyle has control while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Darby crawls away, Kyle hobbles after, but Darby rolls out of the ring. Kyle shakes out the bad leg, and he lets the ring count climb. Darby hobbles, his own leg hurting, and he falls back over. The count is 5 of 10, but Darby rolls in at 7! Kyle fires off on Darby right at the ropes! Kyle stomps away, soaks up cheers and jeers, then drags him by the bad leg. Kyle CLUBS Darby, YANKS on the bad leg, then clamps on with an STF! Darby reaches out but Kyle traps the arm! Darby gets that arm free, and he gets the ROPEBREAK with it! Kyle lets go in frustration, but he hobbles around as Darby crawls to the corner.

Kyle storms upon Darby, smothers him in the corner, then winds up to CHOP! Darby sputters but Kyle brings him around to CHOP down! Kyle soaks up cheers and jeers as he paces around Darby. Darby falls to the floor while the fans go nuts again! Kyle hobbles, his bad leg really bothering him now, but he puts Darby back in. Darby is busted open, Kyle covers him, TWO!! The fans cheer as Darby still lives! But now Darby’s face paint is being replaced by a crimson mask… Kyle ELBOWS away on the bloody forehead! The fans boo but Kyle stops. Kyle huffs ‘n’ puffs as he goes to a corner, then he storms up on Darby. Kyle looms over Darby, drags him up, and- NO, Darby slips free, slips around, and RAMS him into the bare steel! Darby then rolls Kyle, traps the legs, and has the SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Kyle endures, reaches out, but Darby keeps him from the ropes!

The fans rally, but Kyle still fights! Darby lets go so he can go up! COFFIN DROP!! And then another COFFIN DROP! Cover, Darby wins!!

AEW hears from The Dogs & The Young Bucks.

David Finlay calls out The Young Bucks for having the “baguettes” big enough to want a war with The Dogs! Clark Connors says they beat The Bucks once, they can do it again “in this rate infested hellhole.” So sorry, but the reign is gonna be short. Matt Jackson admits, The Dogs have a win on them. But uh, they’re still the FOUR-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions. So get ready, boys! Nick asks, “What the dog doing?” Are things about to get ruff in Paris?

Backstage interview with Queen Aminata.

Renee Paquette is with the One True African Queen and notes this is her first chance at THE AEW Women’s World Championship. How is she feeling? Aminata says she feels great, and bonsoir, le France! She continues in French to say she is so excited for tonight, and she is so honored to be wrestling here in France to become the NEW AEW Women’s World Champion! With that, Aminata makes her entrance to a brand new song! But will there be a brand new champion to commemorate the occasion? Or will nothing derail The Money Train as it heads for Orlando?

AEW Women’s World Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Queen Aminata!

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who gets to live the WrestleDream!

The bell rings, and the fans cheer Aminata. Mone SLAPS Aminata with her red beret, then throws it down to stomp on it, showing what she really thinks of France! Aminata fires forearms to show what she thinks about Mone! Aminata whips, scoops, and BACKBREAKERS! Mone staggers away to a corner, Aminata climbs up, and she rains down fists! The fans count along, Aminata winds up and swivels her hips before she hits DIX! Aminata then snapmares Mone, and she clamps on for the- NO, Mone powers free! The fans boo but Mone says no, her face is still healing! Aminata doesn’t care, she rushes up, but dodges Mone’s lariat.

Mone comes back, tilt-o-whirls, and LA MYSTICA into the STATEMENT MAKER! Aminata rolls through, she tilt-o-whirls, but into CIPHER- NO! Aminata victory rolls the lung blower! Aminata then has Mone trapped, and feeds her CHOCOLATE KISSES! The fans cheer while Mone flounders away. Aminata then runs to PENALTY KICK! Mone flounders away, Aminata runs up! Mone avoids the boot to DRAPING DRAGON SCREW the leg! The fans boo but Mone METEORAS to the floor! Mone soaks up the heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Mone flips off the fans before she puts her beret on Schiavone. Mone then POSTS Aminata! Mone puts Aminata in the ring, and DROPKICKS her down! Aminata flounders, Mone brings her up, and Mone stomps her on the ropes. Mone runs to METEORA! Cover, TWO! Aminata is tougher than that but Mone argues the count. Mone CLUBS Aminata, KNEES her int he back, then clamps on with a chinlock. Aminata endures the knee in her back but Mone grinds her down to the mat. Mone kicks Aminata around, CLUBS her, but Aminata hits back! They go forearm for forearm, but Mone slips around to snapmare! Mone runs to METEORA! Cover, TWO! The Aerial Assassin reminded us himself that he is 2-11 against The Rainmaker. From being Okada’s junior to teammate to rival, Ospreay has truly grown up thanks to this man. But will Ospreay repay Okada by proving he has finally surpassed him? Or will Okada be bringing two belts with him to Orlando?

The introductions are made, the AEW World title is raised, and we see who completes the Grand Slam in France!

The fans are already thunderous just from the two being in the ring together. The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, and fans already chant “This is Awesome!” The two tie up, Ospreay wrenches to wristlock, but Okada rolls to trip Ospreay. Okada has a toehold but Ospreay uses that to go for the arm. Okada stacks, Ospreay lets go, and the two reset. The fans sing for Ospreay, but Okada steps outside. Okada wants to leave? No, he just wants to troll the fans. Callis cheers his guy on as Okada goes back to the ring. Okada and Ospreay tie up, Okada puts Ospreay on the ropes, then pulls off the signature feint.

The fans boo as Okada mocks the arm waving, then he kicks low. Okada headlocks, Ospreay powers up and out, then kips up! The fans cheer but Okada is annoyed. Okada kicks low again, then whips, but Ospreay reverses to leap, only for Okada to catch him! Ospreay uses that to MONKEY FLIP! That sends Okada flying to a corner! Okada gets up, but Ospreay arm-drags! Okada headscissors, Ospreay kips free and sweeps to cover, ONE! Okada ducks a kick, ripcords, but Ospreay ducks the lariat! The fans cheer the standoff! Okada UPPERCUTS, Ospreay wobbles, but Okada UPPERCUTS again! Okada grins as he UPPERCUTS, but Ospreay HOOK KICKS! Okada falls, goes to the apron, but Ospreay goes out to join him! From the corner, APRON OSCUTTER! Direct hit and Okada falls to the floor! The fans fire up while Callis claims this is actually a smart move.

Ospreay shakes out his arms, that wasn’t the best move for him and his neck either. The ring count climbs, Okada is down past 5. Okada stirs at 7, rises at 8, and rolls in at 9! But Ospreay springboards to go COAST2COAST! The fans fire up as Ospreay reloads, springboards, OSC- NO, Okada catches Ospreay! RAIN- NO, Ospreay dodges to springboard again, into Okada’s DROPKICK! Okada hurries to ripcord, Callis practically cues it up! RAINMAKER!! Cover, TWO?!?! Ospreay survives and the fans are loving it! Okada is shocked, Callis is furious, but Ospreay is not done yet! Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

The overall record may still favor Okada, but Ospreay’s third win ever over Okada is perhaps the best one yet! Ospreay shows Okada deep respect with his bow, and Okada does give a thumbs up and fist bump. Samoa Joe also returns to the stage to remind us all of what’s coming. Ospreay now enters Clockwork Carnage as the incumbent, but will he be able to win his own match idea? Or will the odds be too high even for the Aerial Assassin?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite as night one of Grand Slam: France. WWE’s events in France proved to the world that France loves pro-wrestling, and that goes the same here, they were hyped all night. Though, it helps that Dynamite felt close to PPV level with the four major title matches. Bandido VS Kofi was a great match, and naturally we got more interactions of Hangman and Swerve. I figured Bandido would win, but we also got a good promo later from Swerve & New Level to give us Best 2 Outta 3 Falls, which is gonna be an awesome match. With that stipulation, it’ll be really hard to tell who wins out, but I bet some Hangman-Swerve shenanigans will be the deciding factor.

Good promo from Nick Wayne to hype the rematch with Jericho, which will be really good, just like the first one. I think Nick wins this time, so that he and Jericho can have a tiebreaker that might even have a stipulation. I still wanna see them pour out a black bag to reveal a bunch of puka shell necklaces. Very good promo from The Bucks and The Dogs, but c’mon, it’s another tune-up disguised as a title match, Bucks are gonna win to still face Kyle & Knight at WrestleDream. Great tag match from Moxley & Gabe VS Davis & Doyle, and a little surprised Davis & Doyle won. But that gives way to Moxley VS Davis at WrestleDream, and that’ll be a solid, hard-hitting match that I’m thinking Moxley wins anyway.

Speaking of Kyle, he and Darby went PPV level on the TNT Championship match, I really thought that bare buckle brainbuster won it for Kyle. But in the end, Darby is Darby, he survives and moves on. Again, Bucks making it through The Dogs this week, I would think The Bucks find a way to make it through WrestleDream, but we still have next week for the go-home math. Great match from Samoa Joe and Jack Perry, and it fits Jack’s story to still fall short here. Jack will have his time, but Clockwork Carnage is a great opportunity for Joe to get back into the world title scene. No matter where Joe starts, he’s gonna have a great run.

Aminata had a great promo and a great showing, but Mone was definitely still winning. Mone and Thekla had a good interaction here, their match is going to be really hard to call. Ospreay VS Okada also went PPV level, hard to say where it ranks among all 14 of their matches, but it’s gotta be the upper half. And naturally, Ospreay won out, he’s gotta lead the way into his own match idea. Now, it’d be rather fitting if Ospreay was also the first/second entry into Clockwork Carnage to really put himself to the test. There’s only Collision and the go-home to get the remaining six men entered, Bailey might very well be one of them, and can’t wait to see who else gets a chance.
