4. Beating The Nexus
Cena Wins LOL. A running joke amongst the anti-Cena crowd for years and this is one of the examples that always gets brought up. The Nexus had debut earlier in the year and ran rough shot over everyone. They main evented SummerSlam against a team lead by Cena. The match finished with Cena coming back from a DDT on concrete to beat Justin Gabriel and Wade Barret.
A loss that derailed the groups momentum and a moment that Cena probably wishes he could go back and change. He has since said that it was probably a bad idea. Jericho talks about trying to change his mind on the finish or even suggesting if he was going to win in should be in a more realistic manner where he just barely survived.
For many jaded fans this was another classic example of SuperCena.
