This week’s episode of IMPACT featured The Lucha Brothers vs. oVe in a tag team main event match. The Lucha Brothers would pick up the win over oVe.

This week’s episode brought in 248,000 viewers which is down from last week’s show that brought in 299,000 viewers. This week marks the lowest viewership for IMPACT this year and the lowest since mid-December.

IMPACT was ranked #138 on the Cable Top 150 while last week’s show was ranked #124. When looking at the 18-49 key demographic, the show that topped the night was Flip Or Flop which brought in 1.905 million viewers. The show that topped the night overall was FOX’s news show Hannity which brought in 3.311 million viewers.

July 12th Episode: 284,000 viewers
July 19th Episode: 275,000 viewers
July 26th Episode: 299,000 viewers (post-Slammiversary episode)
August 2nd Episode: 248,000 viewers

Ja’Von’s Take: This week’s episode of IMPACT was heavy on the tag team matches. While many are not happy with the heavy hand of tag team matches on IMPACT, but when looking at it from a wrestling promotion standpoint, this is the best way to feature lots of talent at once on a two hour show. IMPACT tends to focus more on wrestling and less on promos, which is great. Back to this week’s show, I understand why the viewership took a huge dive because the show itself felt weak. The only match that saved the show was the main event, but it’s still shocking to see viewership hit record lows. Stay tuned to the IMPACT YouTube Report.
