Matt Riddle’s Final Indy Match Set For PROGRESS Wrestling On September 30th

Since his appearance ringside back at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV on August 18th and the official announcement of his signing with WWE (read about that here), many fans have wondered when we will finally see Matt Riddle step inside an NXT ring.

While a start date has yet to be revealed, we now know that Riddle is about to finish up his other bookings as today PROGRESS Wrestling has announced Riddle will have his final independent match at their ‘Hello Wembley’ event on September 30th, emanating from the SSE Arena in London, England. That card will also feature a grudge match between NXT UK Superstars Mark Andrews and Eddie Dennis. Below is PROGRESS Wrestling’s announcement of Riddle’s match via Twitter, including his opponent:

Currently, the speculation is that Riddle may show up at the next set of NXT television tapings at the end of September, however that is just talk at this point and nothing has been confirmed. There are also rumors that Riddle will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center in early-October.
