Freshly Squeezed may have overreacted to Azucar’s comments, if that’s even possible. Rocky simply said the word “international” and Cassidy gave him this title match. Will the fighting champion still be champion going into Christmas? Or will Rocky be the one with a golden Navidad?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who kicks off AEW’s holiday party!

The bell rings and fans rally up as the two circle. They feel things out, tie up, and go around and around. Rocky has Cassidy on ropes, lets off as the ref counts, and then rolls back to give some Latino Heat. The fans are torn but Cassidy shrugs that off. They tie up again, Cassidy wrenches and arm-drags, but things speed up. Rocky goes Spider-Man, but Cassidy gives some Latino Heat, and even a thumbs up. Rocky CHOPS Cassidy for that! Rocky gives more Latino Heat, but Cassidy winds up, to put his hands in his pockets! Fans cheer and Rocky feels like he should’ve known better. Things speed up again and Cassidy SHOTGUNS Rocky down!

Cassidy kips up but Rocky RANAS! Cassidy bails out, Rocky builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit and they hit railing! The fans fire up, Rocky gets Cassidy in the ring, but Cassidy slowly rolls to the far side. Rocky goes around the way to find Cassidy, FLYING RANA! Cassidy tumbles to the ramp, Rocky gets him up and RAMS him into the apron! Rocky puts Cassidy in, then runs at the corner, for a clothesline! Then another! Then- NO, Cassidy victory rolls, TWO! Rocky scoops to a BACKBREAKER! Cassidy writhes and Rocky stalks him while the fans rally up. Rocky UPPERCUTS Cassidy in the corner, then shakes out his hand.

Rocky whips corner to corner, Cassidy bounces off buckles, and Rocky scoops for another BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Rocky stomps Cassidy around, whips him to a corner, but fans rally for Cassidy. Rocky whips corner to corner again, and again, but Cassidy tilt-o-whirl DDTS! Fans fire up, Rocky bails out, and Cassidy DIVES! Cassidy hits Rocky into railing, then puts him back in the ring, Cassidy climbs, CROSSBODY! Cassidy runs, tries another tilt-o-whirl but Rocky turns that to a suplex! Uno Amigo as Rocky hangs Cassidy out to dry. Rocky CLUBS Cassidy, goes to the corner and gives more Latino Heat. But Cassidy avoids the knee!

Rocky RAMS into Cassidy, suplexes again, but Cassidy fights it! Rocky keeps trying, Cassidy turns that around and they’re both on the apron. Cassidy’s back hurts, so Rocky hits an APRON snap suplex! Cassidy falls to the floor and Trent checks both his friends as Rampage goes picture in picture.

The ref checks Rocky and Cassidy, and they’re both somehow okay to continue. Rocky cheers himself on, then he drags Cassidy up. Rocky puts Cassidy in, drags him up, and puts him through the ropes. Rocky KICKS Cassidy, goes back to the corner, Latino Heat and GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO! Cassidy hangs tough but Rocky keeps cool. Rocky grabs the arms and pulls them back for a Motorcycle Stretch! Cassidy endures, fights up, and powers up, but Rocky keeps the hands out of pockets! Cassidy still tries, he turns things around, but Rocky turns it back around. Rampage returns to single picture, Cassidy tries again.

Cassidy and Rocky spin around and around, Cassidy slips free to ROCK Rocky! Rocky ROCKS Cassidy! They go back and forth, the fans on Cassidy’s side. Rocky fires up, but Cassidy gets the edge! Cassidy winds up, but Rocky gets around to CLUB him! Cassidy SUPERKICKS! Rocky kicks, Cassidy blocks and even ducks the enziguri, but not the REWIND HEEL! Cassidy stays up to ORANGE PUNCH outta nowhere!! But Cassidy can’t make the cover! The fans are thunderous, “This is Awesome!” The standing count climbs, Cassidy and Rocky stand at 4 of 10. Cassidy stalks Rocky, and fires “devastating” kicks!

Fans fire up as Cassidy goes from mocking to real kicks! He stomps a mudhole into Rocky, then fires up! PENALTY KICK a la Shibata! Then off comes to elbow pad! Trent shrugs, he isn’t gonna stop this. But Rocky JUMP KNEES! Rocky runs to SLICED BREAD!! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and Rocky grows frustrated. Rocky roars and fans boo, but Rocky hauls Cassidy up. Alabama Lift, then the tuck! But Cassidy sunset flips! TWO! So Cassidy Alabama Lifts, but Rocky sunset flips! Cassidy sits on it, TWO!! Cassidy goes to a corner, Rocky runs in but into a BOOT! Cassidy goes up, BOOTS again, then DEEP IMP- JUMP KNEE!

Rocky runs, but Cassidy sidesteps! Scoop and tilt-o-whirl DDT from Rocky! Rocky hurries to Alabama Lift and tuck, STRONG ZERO!! Cover, TWO!?! Trent is surprised while Rocky fires up. Fans chant for “A E DUB!” for giving us this great opener. Rocky cravats, goes up the corner, but no Sliced Bread this time! Rocky runs back in, Cassidy dodges the jump knee, to ORANGE PUNCH!! Rocky staggers around, into Alabama Lift and BEACH BREAK!! Cover, Cassidy wins!

Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.

Tony Schiavone is with The Galaxy’s Greatest, and he notes last week’s incredible Street Fight Tag win for her and Willow Nightingale. It was a rough start but they came together as a team. Kris says she and Willow have been through a lot, and whatever might’ve gone off the rails, they got right back up. And no hard feelings, of course. They’re stronger than ever, and nothing will come between them. But then Stokely Hathaway walks in and says, “Y’know what’s crazy? The fact that Willow Nightingale has been telling everyone, and I’m shocked that Tony Schiavone didn’t tell you since he’s always in other people’s business…

“Willow has been telling everyone that she carried you on Saturday, and that if it wasn’t for her, you two would’ve lost on Collision.” Oh, is that really what she said? Yes, it is. And it is very interesting. And another thing that’s crazy is the fact that everyone feels they need to be in a group, a clique, a faction. That might work temporarily, but long term, it does not. And trust Stokely on this, he knows. So do him a favor, “Kristen.” Look in the mirror and see the Kris Statlander that he sees. The former TBS Champion Statlander, the woman who could do anything once she set her mind to it.

But hey, if Kris wants to hang out with Willow, Cassidy, and “b*tch ass” Danhausen, that’s on her. What does he know? Stokely leaves, Schiavone asks if she believes any of that, and Kris asks if Stokely actually called her “Kristen.” Yes, that much he did. That’s not even what Kris is short for. But will Statlander get to the bottom of these rumors? Or will she choose to get back to the top of the mountain?

Mike Bennett, Matt Taven & The Savior of the Backbreaker are adaaaaamant that MJF IS The Devil. But one way or another, Bennett & Taven want those ROH World Tag Team Championships back. Will they earn that opportunity here tonight? Or will Matt & Jeff DELETE The Kingdom and take that opportunity for themselves?

But as they make their entrance, Roddy shouts at “JUSTIIIIN~!” to stop and for them to cut the music. Fans boo as Roddy leads the way out. He and the fellas were in the back talking, saying how if Oklahoma City doesn’t think MJF is the Devil, then they are stupid. So then, guy in the front row, what’s your name? This is Kevin. Okay, KEVIIIIN~! You’re stupid. Fans boo but Roddy now asks another person. This is Floyd. FLOOOYD! You’re also stupid. Okay, fellas, enough about these stupid people. Go get ’em. Fans chant “DELETE! DELETE!” at them as the teams sort out, and the Matts start us off.

The fans rally for the Hardys as Taven and Hardy circle. The Kingdom tells the fans to stop cheering but Hardy ROCKS Taven! Hardy RAMS Taven into an open corner, and again, and then fires haymakers! The ref counts, Hardy lets off and the fans fire up. Hardy whips Taven, back drops him, then drags Taven up to DECK him! Tag to Jeff and the fans fire up more! Matt Hardy ROPE GUILLOTINES Taven, then Jeff LEG DROP GUILLOTINES! Taven flounders, Jeff SPLASHES, then covers, TWO! Jeff wrenches, tag back to Matt, and the Hardys double whip Taven to DOUBLE ELBOW, then FIST DROP SENTON COMBO! Cover, TWO!

Hardy whips Taven to a corner, Taven stops and rolls under, then ENZIGURIS! Tag to Bennett and he kicks Matt to fire off forearms. Bennett ROLLING ELBOWS and Matt falls. Bennett mocks the Hardy dances, then drags Matt up. TWIST OF- NO, Matt shoves Bennett and CLOBBERS him! Tag to Jeff, the Hardys whip corner to corner. Then POETRY IN MOTION! Fans fire up as Jeff shows them how the dance is done! Jeff SLAPS Bennett, then catches him for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The fans fire up as the shirt comes off, free souvenir! Jeff climbs, Taven grabs at him, but Jeff kicks him away! But Bennett gets up to trip Jeff!

Bennett drags Jeff off the top to suplex high and hard! Tag to Taven, then Bennett BLASTS Matt Hardy! Taven FROG SPLASHES onto Jeff! Cover, TWO! Taven argues with the ref but the count was fair. Taven tags Bennett back in and The Kingdom drags Jeff up. They double whip, hurdle and ROCK, then SPRINGBOARD KICK! Cover, TWO! Taven is frustrated but the ref again defends the count. Taven drags Jeff up, brings him around, and CHOPS! Jeff goes to the corner, Taven tags in Bennett, and Taven digs his boot in while Bennett CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Bennett bumps Jeff off buckles, then wrenches an arm.

Bennett whips corner to corner then runs in, to CHOP! Bennett blows a kiss to the camera, snapmares Jeff, and he mocks the fans rallying before he runs and runs and slides, to poke Jeff in the eye! Fans boo but Bennett rushes Matt. Matt blocks the sucker punch to ROCK Bennett! Bennett DECKS Matt this time, then drags Jeff up. Bennett whips Jeff hard into the Kingdom’s corner, then tags Taven. Taven whips Jeff to a corner, runs in and SPLASHES as Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns, Jeff is down but so is The Kingdom! Bennett storms up and he drags Jeff around. Jeff BOOTS Bennett back out! Taven grabs a leg and he anchors Jeff! Jeff crawls, fans rally, but Bennett runs up on Matt, only to get a KICK for it! Then an APRON SIDE EFFECT! Jeff stands up to SPIN BACK KICK Taven away! Hot tag to Matt Hardy! Hardy rallies on Taven and fans fire up! Fans chant “DELETE! DELETE!” as Hardy dribbles Taven off buckles again and again, all three layers! Hardy fires up, the fans are with him, and he YANKS Taven up to a POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!

Roddy coaches Taven up but Hardy stands him up. Taven takes a swing but gets a SIDE EFFECT for it! Cover, TWO! Taven survives but Hardy calls for the Twist! Taven rises, “DELETE! DELETE!” but Bennett runs in! So Hardy kicks and TWIST OF FATES Bennett! Taven runs up, into a kick! Taven gets free of the Twist, Hardy pursues and whips Taven into railing! Hardy then sends Taven over the timekeeper’s table! The fans fire up as Jeff fires off on Bennett with a boot! Jeff took his own boot off to use as a glove to beat on Bennett with! Matt storms over, brings Bennett up, and he whips him into steel steps!

Matt dribbles Bennett off the steel! “DELETE! DELETE!” But then Hardy grabs a chair! The ref won’t allow that! Fans boo but the Matts both return to the ring. Taven rolls Hardy up, with tights! THE KINGDOM WINS!

Fans boo and the Hardys are furious! They got cheated but The Kingdom celebrates as they get outta there. While MJF & Samoa Joe are defending the ROH Tag Team Championships against The Devil’s Minions, will Bennett & Taven be waiting on the other side?

Backstage interview with Ruby Soho.

Renee Paquette is with The Runaway, and says there has been a lot going on with The Outcasts as of late. We know now that it will be Riho facing Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Worlds End, but has Ruby been able to talk with Saraya since Dynamite? Ruby says she hasn’t. And then in walks Angelo Parker. He says he’s been trying to get some alone time with her for awhile now, but it’s Christmastime. There’s magic in the air, it has him feeling a certain way, and Christmas is when you can ask for what you want. So Renee, please ask what Parker wants for Christmas. What does he want?

To take this beautiful lady out for a drink. Ruby starts to answer but Saraya storms in and says she is not here to fight. She’s here to spread some joy! She apologizes to Ruby. She is so sorry, Ruby is so right. They need each other. And if the deal comes with Parker, then okay. Saraya will support this, she will be all for this, and she even kinda likes this pairing. She knows they had plans, but she also has some gifts for the ladies. Ruby, Renee, you go on ahead, she wants to chat with Parker real quick. Renee & Ruby leave, and Parker says he appreciates Saraya coming around on this. But then she tells him, “Listen here, you POS.” Oh…

Saraya says Ruby is her friend, and hers entirely. Parker cannot have her. Oh, Saraya has Ruby for now. No, Ruby is Saraya’s then, now and forever. Saraya hates Parker. Then she bold faced lies to Ruby that she loves having Parker around. Parker can’t believe her, but will Saraya get what she wants for Christmas? Or just what she deserves?

No longer bright and cheery but gloomy and dark, Chicago Skye has actually joined forces with Julia Hart! She and the AEW TBS Champion will officially team up tomorrow night on Collision, will this be more like pregaming? Or will Aminata prove herself worthy of big things in the New Year?

Aminata CLUBS Skye, so Skye ROCKS Aminata! They go back and forth, shot for shot, and Skye gets the edge! Skye ROCKS Aminata, runs, but into a HEADBUTT! Aminata Alabama Lifts and tucks, but Skye sunset flips! TWO, Aminata sits on it, TWO! Aminata wrenches and fisherman SCREWS! Fans fire up while Skye flounders to the apron. Aminata rallies the fans then builds speed, but Skye avoids the boot to ROUNDHOUSE! Skye then drags Aminata to the apron, for an APRON FACEBUSTER!

Aminata flops down and Skye smirks. Skye drags Aminata up, then RAMS her into railing! Aminata writhes while Skye talks trash on Thunder Rosa. Skye puts Aminata in the ring, soaks up the cheers and jeers, then storms in after Aminata. Skye covers, TWO! Skye pushes Aminata around, kicks her around, then pie faces her. Aminata gets mad, Skye ROCKS her again! Aminata BODY BLOWS! Skye pie faces again, but Aminata shoves her! Skye runs up but into a BOOT, then GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans fire up with Aminata and she says kiss this. She runs corner to corner, HIP ATTACK! Then she goes side to side, to BOOT WASH!

Fans fire up as Aminata covers, TWO! Skye is hanging tough but Aminata keeps her cool. Aminata stomps Skye around, drags her to a drop zone, then goes up. Fans fire up but Skye avoids the double jump! And she SUPERKICKS! Then SUPERKICKS again! Skye shrieks, drags Aminata up and wrenches to a fireman’s carry. T K O!! Roll back, into a DRAGON SLEEPER!! Aminata taps, Skye wins!

AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo VS Black Taurus!

It turns out ROH Final Battle wasn’t the final battle between these rivals, because here we go again! But with Vikingo winning just one week ago, will history repeat itself? Or will history be made as Taurus ends Vikingo’s historic run?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we have one incredible title fight to close out the night!

The bell rings and the fans fire up. Taurus and Vikingo circle, the fans chant for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” and the two tie up. Vikingo waistlocks, Taurus spins to facelock and suplex, but Vikingo slips out, then slips under. Taurus hauls Vikingo up but Vikingo slips out the back again. Vikingo rolls Taurus up, ONE! The two stand off and the fans cheer again. The two circle, tie up, and Vikingo waistlocks again. Taurus wrenches out to a hammerlock, then headlocks. Vikingo throws knees then fires forearms. Vikingo headlocks, Taurus powers up and out, then Taurus runs Vikingo over! The fans fire up and Taurus runs.

Vikingo is up, Taurus dodges the boot to TORNILLO ARM-DRAG! But Vikingo’s right back up to arm-drag in return! Vikingo RANAS, Taurus handsprings through to RANA back! Then he runs Vikingo over again! Cover, ZERO!! Vikingo trips Taurus, covers, ZERO!! Both men stand up and the fans are thunderous! Vikingo and Taurus reset and circle again. “This is Awesome!” already, and Vikingo offers a handshake. Taurus says no, so Vikingo ROCKS him! And BOOTS him! And then gets around to waistlock. Taurus switches and shoves, then follows to roll off Vikingo’s back and SOBAT! KICKI! ELBOW! Snapmare and NECK TWIST!

Vikingo flounders to ropes, Taurus whips him, and POP-UP SAMOAN DROP! Cover, TWO! Vikingo hangs in there but Taurus roars. The fans are torn, but Taurus looms over Vikingo. Taurus drags Vikingo up as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Taurus pushes Vikingo to a corner, then ROCKS him with a right! Vikingo drops to his knees, and Taurus snarls as he drags Vikingo back up. Taurus shoves him to the corner again, to DECK him! Vikingo sputters and checks his nose. Taurus flexes and soaks up the cheers and jeers. Taurus hauls Vikingo up, CHOPS him to the corner, then brings him around to scoop. SHOUDLER BUSTER! Cover, TWO! Vikingo hangs tough, but Taurus clamps on a chinlock. Taurus grinds Vikingo down but Vikingo fights up. Taurus throws Vikingo by his hair! The ref reprimands, but Taurus just soaks up the heat.

Taurus stalks Vikingo to a corner, drags him up, but Vikingo CHOPS! Taurus SLAPS Vikingo! Vikingo falls over, Taurus covers, TWO! Taurus drags Vikingo up, puts him back in the corner, and he CLUBS a leg! Taurus then digs a boot into Vikingo, but lets off as the ref counts. Taurus paces, Vikingo sputters, and Taurus eggs his rival on. The fans rally up and Taurus tries to ignore them. Taurus hauls Vikingo up to CHOP! Taurus CHOPS again, then he stands Vikingo up to RAM into him! And again! And again! The ref counts, Taurus lets off to then climb up the corner. He soaks up the heat, then brings Vikingo around.

Taurus CHOKES Vikingo on ropes, lets off as the ref counts, and then taunts Vikingo. Vikingo pie faces back, so Taurus SLAPS him down again! Rampage returns to single picture as Taurus whips corner to corner. Vikingo slips out, Taurus hits buckles, and Vikingo springboards to MISSILE DROPKICK! Taurus stays up so Vikingo runs, goes up the ropes, and jumps around to POISON- NO, Taurus blocks that! Taurus uses that to get Vikingo up, shoves him to a corner, and runs in. Vikingo dodges, Taurus’ knee hits buckles and he tumbles right out to the floor, almost taking out the cameraman! Fans fire up, Vikingo builds speed, but Taurus slides in!

Taurus runs to TORNILLO TOPE!! The fans are thunderous and Taurus roars! Taurus drags Vikingo up, but Vikingo slips free to POST Taurus! And then Vikingo whips, but Taurus reverses. Vikingo uses the apron to 619 Taurus away! Vikingo then builds speed to FLY! But Taurus catches him!! Vikingo fights free, and he inverted suplexes!?  To then POWERSLAM on the floor! The fans fire up as Vikingo shows he has strength as well as speed! “This is Awesome!” as Vikingo climbs up the corner now. Vikingo tightrope walks, then SKY TWISTERS Taurus down! The fans are thunderous with “SI! SI! SI!” as Vikingo stands tall!

Vikingo puts Taurus into the ring, goes up the corner again, but Taurus rolls away. Vikingo hops down, waits on Taurus to stand, and Taurus rushes in! Vikingo BOOTS Taurus, ENZIGURIS, then goes back up! Tightrope and FLYING POISON-RANA!! Taurus stands right up, but into a CRUCIFIX DRIVER!! But Taurus SPEARS!!! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous again! Taurus and Vikingo crawl to opposite ends of the ring, “This is Awesome!” Taurus runs in, but Viking puts him on the apron! But Taurus bumps Vikingo off buckles, then climbs up! Taurus drags Vikingo up by his hair!

Fans fire up as Taurus has Vikingo up in a gorilla press! SUPER PRESS SLAM!!! The fans are losing their minds, Taurus covers, TWO!!! Vikingo somehow survives and fans love “A E DUB!” for giving them this main event. Taurus hauls Vikingo up, whips, and scoops, Torture Rack for the BACKBREAKER!! And then a deadlift POWER BREAKER!!! Then a DISCUS LARIAT!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Vikingo survives and Taurus doesn’t understand how! Fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow! Taurus snarls as he thinks on how to finish Vikingo, and he drags Vikingo right back up.

Vikingo has noodle legs, so Taurus SLAPS him! But Vikingo JAWBREAKERS! Then HEEL KICKS! Vikingo runs, rolls, and SUNSET BOMBS!! Taurus ends up on ropes, Vikingo wobbles and rebounds, METEORA through the ropes!! They’re both on the outside but Vikingo puts Taurus in fast. Taurus goes to a corner, the fans rally behind Vikingo and he runs in again, but Taurus pops him up! But Vikingo uses that to hit a DESTROYER!! The kneepads come down, Vikingo takes aim, BLINDSIDE METEORA!!! Taurus is in the drop zone, Vikingo climbs up! VIKINGO 630!!! Cover, VIKINGO WINS!!

In a match worthy of this title, and worthy as a follow-up to Final Battle, Vikingo is STILL the best in AAA today! Will nothing stop him from growing his legacy until he is the best in AAA history?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage as part of Holiday Bash week, with no actual filler. Well, the non-title matches tonight were still made out of nowhere but they were still able to contribute to stories. The Kingdom get a cheating win over The Hardys so that The Kingdom moves up in the rankings. And if my theory holds, maybe The Kingdom are part of this Devil of AEW plot and are the ones that will face MJF & Samoa Joe this Wednesday on Dynamite to take those ROH World Tag Team Championships. So basically, this was momentum for that, but in secret. And while Aminata looked great in her return match, Skye won so she would have momentum going into tomorrow night’s tag match.

Really good promo from Kris with Schiavone and Stokely, and while I’m sure Stokely is stirring up trouble, he does have a point about factions are all over AEW/ROH, and they don’t always last. Really good promo from Nana & Cage before Cage loses to Keith Lee on Collision, but I do like Cage racking up nicknames and catchphrases. Great promo from Ruby, Parker and Saraya with Saraya being all two-faced about Ruby x Parker. Something is gonna happen that makes The Outcast breakup happen, and we should totally get Saraya VS Ruby at like, Worlds End Zero Hour.

Then great title matches to bookend the show. Cassidy was of course going to beat Rocky but it was a great match all the same. I bet with how Stokely insulted Cassidy & Danhausen, something happens where Stokely has a proxy fight Cassidy for him in an International Championship match. And then just another epic match from Vikingo, especially with Taurus. Now, I figured Vikingo would win, this isn’t an AAA event so that title isn’t changing hands. But this is great stuff for both AEW and AAA. AEW gets the ratings, and hopefully, even if it’s very small, there could be fans now interested in AAA and will do their best to watch AAA programming now. I certainly don’t mind them keeping this going, these matches are incredible to watch.
