The description of this article already covered this, but the AEW International Champion and his Best Friends just wanted to check on the Kentucky Gentleman. Instead, Roderick Strong, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett beat down poor Chuck Taylor at the command of Adam Cole! Will Cassidy, Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta tear down the Kingdom and avenge Chuckie T? Or will Rampage be undisputed?

Speaking of vengeance and all that, Best Friends don’t even wait for entrances! Roppongi Vice attacks the Kingdom at the ramp! Strong storms into the ring to go after Cassidy, Taven sends Trent into railing! Bennett does the same to Azucar! Strong and Cassidy stare down while Cassidy tightens the pull string on his pants. Then he throws his sunglasses at Roddy! Cassidy rushes up, Roddy bails out, and fans boo as the Savior of the Backbreaker cowers away. But then Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets! Taven & Bennett slide in from the other side, but Cassidy dodges them to DOUBLE SHOTGUN!

The fans fire up as The Kingdom staggers to their feet and Cassidy kips up! The trios all regroup and the ref says this is still a standard match! 1v1 to start! Adam Cole & Wardlow start making their way down the ramp while the trios sort out. Trent insists so Cassidy lets him start, but Bennett kicks Trent low! The bell rings, Bennett CHOPS, then puts Trent in a corner. Bennett CHOPS again, Trent CHOPS back! Trent ROCKS and CHOPS Bennett but Bennett BOOTS Trent down! Bennett whips Trent to ropes, Trent reverses, drops then STANDING METEORAS! The fans fire up with Trent and he storms up on Bennett.

Trent CHOPS Bennett, tags Rocky, and RPG Vice mugs Bennett. Rocky wrenches to ELBOW BREAKER, but Bennett scoops Trent to SLAM him! Tag to Taven, he stomps away, then he ROCKS Rocky to ropes. Trent ROCKS Rocky more, whips him to ropes, but Rocky ducks ‘n’ dodges, tags to Trent before Taven DROPKICKS him down! Taven gloats, “IIIII’M Matt Taven!” But he turns around into DOUBLE JUMP KNEES! Trent brings Taven up, hangs him out to dry, and Rocky goes up to MISSILE DROPKICK! Trent SLIDING KNEES, covers, TWO! Cole is frustrated for his team as Trent stalks Taven.

Trent brings Taven around, ROCKS him, and the fans rally behind Trent. Trent whips, Taven holds ropes and Roddy tags in> Taven BOOTS Trent, Strong runs in, but into a GERMAN SUPLEX! Trent holds on to GERMAN SUPLEX! Trent still holds on, but Roddy fights the grip to switch. Strong shoves Trnet away, Ternt ELBOWS back! Trent goes up, Bennett runs up but Trent ELBOWS him away. Roddy YANKS Trent down into a BACKBREAKER! Cole applauds and Roddy tags Taven. They stomp away on Trent, the ref reprimands and fans boo, but Taven tags Bennett. Taven CHOKES Trent, Bennett stomps away!

The ref reprimands, Bennett rains down forearms then tags Taven back in. Taven goes up, Bennett hauls Trent up. Suplex and FROG FLOP as Trent moves! The fans fire up and Trent crawls, but Bennett hauls him up! Ternt gets around, HALF ‘N’ HALF! Hot tag to Cassidy! Cassidy goes up to leap, CROSSBODY for Taven! Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges Bennett but Bennett stops the tilt-o-whirl! Bennett suplexes but Cassidy gives him STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Cassidy keeps moving, he ducks ‘n’ dodges Taven to tilt-o-whirl DDT! The fans fire up and Cassidy stares Roddy down. Roddy shouts, “You wanna go?!”

The fans rally for Cassidy but then Bennett shoves Cassidy! Cassidy dodges once but the SPINEBUSTER hits! Rocky runs in to UPPERCUT Bennett, then HAYMAKER and ENZIGIRI! Roddy runs in now to SICK KICK Rocky! Trent is in, he dodges Roddy to TORNADO DDT! Taven springboards, KICK O’ THE KING! Cassidy is in, Taven dodges to LEG LARIAT! And then LIONSAULT, but he lands out as Cassidy moves! SUPERKICK from Cassidy! SUPERKICK from Taven! All six men are down and the fans are thunderous as Rampage goes picture in picture!

Cassidy stirs, a standing count climbs, but he and Taven rise up at 7 of 10. Cassidy Alabama Lifts! Taven fights that, CLUBS Cassidy, but Cassidy fights Taven’s lift! Cassidy tries again but Taven tries, too! They fight for control, Taven CLUBS away on Cassidy, then seethes as he stomps away! Taven mocks putting hands in pockets, then talks trash on the Melvins in Phoenix. Taven drags Cassidy back up, but Cassidy RANAS free of the bomb! Cassidy runs up, tags Rocky, but Taven fires hands! Rampage returns to single picture as Taven DECKS Rocky and goes up the corner. Cassidy ROCKS Taven first!

Cassidy climbs up, brings Taven up, but Taven resists! The ref has to stop Roddy but he misses Bennett YANK Cassidy down! LOW BLOW!! And then HAIL MARY!! Roddy WRECKS Rocky with a dropkick but Trent SPEARS Roddy! Taven DIVES onto Trent! Taven puts Trent in, Bennett LARIATS him! They get Trent up for THY KINGDOM COME!! Rocky stands, The Kingdom swarm him! Rocky slips in, builds speed and DIVES! Down goes The Kingdom and the fans fire up! Rocky puts Bennett in, then runs up, SHIRANUI!! But Taven is back to BOOT Rocky! Taven whips, Rocky turns bomb into RANA!

Fans fire up and Rocky starts up the corner clotheslines, only for Bennett to run in! Bennett ducks the enzigiri but not the REWIND HEEL! Rocky fires up again and the fans are with him! Rocky runs in, ONE-EVER! TWO-EVER! THREE-EVER! FOREVER~ Clotheslines! Rocky just keeps going, but the STRONG KNEE hits! Then END OF HEARTACHE!! Cover, Kingdom wins!

Things are about to get worse as Wardlow starts putting in chairs! Those chairs are set up side-by-side, and FULL METAL END OF HEARTACHE!! Rocky writhes, Trent & Cassidy rush in to run The Kingdom off, but too little too late! The Kingdom beat down Chuckie T and they just brutalized Azucar, are they going to take everything from Best Friends while taking over everything in AEW & ROH?

The Young Bucks VS Mondo Rox & Robbie Lit!

New music accompanies the new attitudes of Matthew Braun John & Nicholas Lee Jackson, and they’re still wearing the bloodied suits from Dynamite!! The EVPs of AEW are clearly sending a message to the entire roster, will they show no remorse for their Tag Division?

The teams sort out and the fans rally for the local Phoenix boys. Matthew mockingly offers a fist bump to Robbie, then CLOBBERS him! Matt then stomps a mudhole in, lets off and takes the jacket off to reveal his vest is bloodied, too. Matt scoops, Robbie slips free and shoves, but Matt LARIATS Robbie down! Mondo coaches Robbie but Matthew tags to Nicholas. Matt trips Robbie to then CATAPULT him into the GAMANGIRI! Nick goes up the corner, BLOCKBUSTER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Fans boo as Nick now takes off his jacket to also show a bloodied vest. Nick sends Robbie to his corner and dares Mondo to tag in.

Mondo tags in and the fans fire up. Nick kicks Mondo low, CLUBS him down, then whips. Mondo reverses. Matt tags in, and Nick whips Mondo. Mondo ducks Nick but Matt LARIATS him down! The Bucks get the mics now, and Nick says he is so tired of the disrespect that each and every one of the fans show them! As a matter of fact, here in the front row, there was a heckler calling them by the wrong names! Time to show your EVPs more respect! You show that by calling them by their God given names of Nicholas & Matthew Jackson! The fans boo more but Matt “apologizes” for his hothead brother. But hey, hey, listen. Listen! LISTEN! Matt paces and says the reason the Bucks are here is to “congratulate” the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions, Darby Allin & Sting!

Incredible match, guys. You put your blood, sweat and tears on the line, you crushed it. You’re gonna be great champions. But uh, one caveat. Matt got an email about an injury report from Doc Sampson. Sampson apparently says Darby & Sting are all banged up after their big win. So the Bucks wanna say, they’re thinking about them, praying for them, and hope they’re okay. The fans boo because we all know why the Relentless Icons are all banged up. But Matt continues to say that he wants to make one thing clear: “Our goal, our objective, is to get OUR Tag Team titles back!”

The fans boo and Matt knows they’re all gonna complain about The Bucks being EVPs, they’re just gonna politic and do whatever it takes to get their match. NO, the Bucks will play by the rules, dammit! They’ll climb up the rankings by having competitive matches like they just did tonight! Fans boo more because that’s a lie. The Bucks vow to get ranked, to get their match, and to get their belts! They will continue this on Dynamite when Matthew & Nicholas, YOUR EVPS, are in tag team action! Now, let’s have a great night. They love all you fans, and they love being EVPs.

CMLL’s pound for pound greatest wrestler seems to be leading the stars of CMLL right through the Forbidden Door and into AEW’s house. They’ve been doing just about whatever they want, will that continue here on Rampage? Or will the Zen Assassin put a stop to the lucha invasion?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They shake hands to show there’s respect here, for now. The two tie up, go around, then break. They go again, Sydal waistlocks, and he SLAMS Mistico down. Sydal flips Mistico over, but Mistico kips up to arm-drag Sydal. Mistico runs up, Sydal gets around and rolls him up, ONE! Mistico arm-drags, Sydal sweeps and covers, ONE! Mistico sweeps and covers, ONE! They both handspring up and the fans cheer this fast ‘n’ furious exchange. The two reset and speed up, Sydal drops down then hurdles but Mistico leaps over. Sydal tilt-o-whirls to RANA and fans fire up!

Mistico is frustrated but Sydal eggs him on. Things get moving again and Mistico RANAS in return! Fans rally as Sydal bails out and Mistico builds speed! Mistico DIVES, direct hit at the ramp with that true Tope Suicida! Mistico goes back into the ring, he builds speed again, but Sydal is back to WHEEL KICK! Sydal stomps Mistico, then grabs the legs to tie them up. Sydal reels Mistico into the BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Mistico endures, Sydal sets him down to SENTON! Sydal then sets up for the STANDING MARIPOSA! Sydal looms over Mistico, brings him up, and brings him around to wrench and back suplex. Mistico lands out of it, but Sydal SUPERKICKS him down! Cover, TWO! Sydal keeps his focus and keeps Phoenix fired up. Sydal brings Mistico up, fires off in a corner, then whips corner to corner, for a MURAMASA! Sydal snapmares Mistico to KICK him in the back! Star y Esfinge coach Mistico but Sydal puts him in a Tree of Woe! Sydal runs corner to corner and back again to basement dropkick! Mistico falls out of the Tree, Sydal nods as the fans rally up. Sydal puts Mistico on the top rope, climbs up after him, but Mistico shoves him back! Sydal SHORYUKENS Mistico down! Esfinge y Star Jr. coach Mistico more but Sydal keeps himself fired up. Mistico sits up, Sydal CHOPS him! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Mistico falls over again and Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns as Mistico springboards to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Sydal stays in this and Mistico stays cool. They both rise as the fans rally, and Mistico runs to tilt-o- whirl, only for Sydal to throw that down! Mistico gets up into a JUMP KNEE! Mistico falls back down, Sydal fires up and fans are torn. Sydal brings Mistico up to AIR RAID CRASH! Cover, TWO! Sydal holds onto the leg, rises up and brings Mistico around. Mistico fires forearms on Sydal but Sydal fires back! Backstage interview with Brian Cage & Prince Nana.

Renee Paquette is with The Mogul Embassy’s Machine and hype man, and Nana is still sore from Hangman Page’s chairshot. Cage has a laundry list of issues with FTW Champion, Hook, does he want to get that off his chest? Yeah, he does! First of all, Hook thinks he can just come out here for a hit ‘n’ run? Nuh-uh! Cage is out here looking for Hook, but where is he? Coincidentally, not here. But of course not! Hook doesn’t want to feel “The Rage of Cage” on Rampage. Nana says Hook must be home reading a book, because that’s what he needs to do instead of just hitting people in the back with chairs.

Nana knows how that feels. It happened on Dynamite! But Cage here is a Machine, not just two punks from Kentucky that walk into the ring just so Hook can beat ’em up. Cage says of course not. Big deal, Hook, you beat two dudes. Cage can do that any night of the week! In fact, Cage will do that tomorrow on Collision! Any two sloppy Joes that wanna find out who betta, come on down because the answer is, nobody! The Machine is ready to tear into the FTW Champion, who will be his appetizers?

Will Kris & Willow prove Stokely wrong? Or will the Goth Knight and the Runaway hold it together one more night?

As the Outcasts make their entrance, Ruby seems to find a note inside her jacket pocket. She sneakily reads it, and seems unsure what to make of it. But for now, the teams sort out and Stokely joins commentary. Kris starts against Saraya and the two tie up. They go around, Kris wrenches to wristlock, but Saraya wrenches back. Kris wrenches again, headlocks then hits a takeover. Saraya moves around, headscissors, and she holds tight as Kris moves around. Kris headstands, pops free, and then basement dropkicks! The fans cheer but Saraya kicks low. Saraya headlocks, but Kris blocks the takeover to hit a BIG back suplex!

Fans cheer and Kris flexes. Ruby tags in, runs in but Kris arm-drags her down! Tag to Willow and the fans cheer as Willow takes the handoff. Willow wrenches but Ruby ROCKS her! Ruby runs, tilt-o-whirls, but Willow blocks that to then carry Ruby around. But Ruby fights with knees! Ruby gets free, but Willow blocks her haymaker to RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! And then GROUND OCTOPUS! Ruby endures and the fans rally. Willow gives short kicks but Ruby pushes this to a cover, ONE!! Willow lets Ruby go, but reels her back inf or a FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect but Willow whips Ruby to the corner.

Stokely says he’s done with being asked questions, he wants to ask a question: What’s the deal with The Outcasts and this weird drama of Ruby, Harley and Cool Hand Ange? Excalibur and Tony Schiavone do their best to explain there is a “situationship” between Ruby and Parker, aka more than a friendship, and it seems Saraya doesn’t like that. Willow runs up to SPLASH Ruby, then tags Kris. Willow feeds Ruby to Kris’ shoulder tackle! The fans fire up, Kris brings Ruby up to scoop, and Willow tags in. Kris SLAMS Ruby, runs to SLIDING LARIAT, and then Willow adds the SPLASH! Cover, TWO!

Willow drags Ruby up, whips her to a corner, then runs in to back body block! Willow rubs it in, then whips corner to corner again. Willow runs in to back body block again, then forearm! Willow snapmares, goes up, but Ruby distracts the ref so Harley can anchor Willow! Stokely protests, Willow tells Harley to back off, but then Saraya SHOVES Willow down! Hard landing and Stokely asks if ref Paul Turner has glaucoma or something! How’d he not see that? Ruby stomps away on Willow, but even she argues with Saraya about how that just went. Ruby drags Willow up, bumps Willow off buckles, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Saraya tags in, she stomps a mudhole into Willow and Harley grins. The ref counts, Saraya lets off and tells Kris she’s a loser. Saraya also says to kiss this, then goes back to CLUB Willow. Saraya tells Willow off, TOSSES her out, then distracts the ref claiming Kris is up to something. This allows Harley to beat Willow down! Kris protests but Harley scurries away. Willow flounders into the ring, Saraya puts her in the ropes, and Saraya fires off knee after knee after knee! The ref counts, Saraya lets off and puts Willow back in. Saraya bumps Willow off buckles, tags Ruby, and Ruby stomps away on Willow.

The ref counts again, Ruby lets off and brings Willow up. Willow hits back, hits a JAWBREAKER, then hurries for her corner! But Saraya YANKS Kris down! Ruby stomps away on Willow then gets away before Kris gets up. Ruby puts Willow on ropes to CHOKE her! The ref counts, Ruby lets off, and she argues with the ref so that Saraya can CHOKE Willow! Saraya lets off, Ruby snapmares Willow and clamps on a chinlock. Willow endures, Kris coaches her up, but Ruby shifts it to a straitjacket stretch. Ruby grinds Willow down, Willow fights back up, and Willow arm-drags free! Ruby comes back to CLOBBER Willow! Cover, TWO!

Willow toughs it out but Ruby keeps her from Kris. Ruby bumps Willow off buckles, tags Saraya, and she snapmares Willow. Saraya clamps onto Willow with a chinlock, and even traps an arm. Willow endures, fights up, but Saraya HEADBUTTS her down! Saraya stays between Kris and Willow while talking trash, but Willow CHOPS! Rampage returns to single picture as Saraya SLAPS Willow! Willow CHOPS back, Saraya runs, but Willow follows! Saraya dodges the lariat but not the BOOT! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Willow and Saraya crawl, hot tags to Ruby and Kris! Kris rallies on Ruby with LARIAT after LARIAT!

Kris whips Ruby to a corner, runs up to UPPERCUT, then she runs to CHOP Saraya! Kris runs back in to BOOT WASH Ruby! Stokely says, “That’s my former TBS Champion!” Kris reels Ruby in for a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Kris hauls Ruby up with a stalling suplex! Ruby knees free, blocks a boot and KNEES again! Tag back to Saraya and the Outcasts get Kris up. Kris fights the double suplex, throws body shots, but the Outcasts mug Kris! Willow run sin but Saraya TOSSES her back out! Ruby hits Kris with an STO! Then she sets Kris up for Saraya’s RUNNING KNEE! Cover, Willow breaks it! Stokely says that’s the teamwork he was talking about!

Ruby goes after Willow but gets a DOUBLE CHOP for it! Saraya YAKUZA KICKS Willow, but Kris DISCUS LARIATS Saraya! The fans fire up, NO FUTURE for Kris! Willow waistlocks Ruby but Ruby switches. Saraya runs up but Willow ducks, Saraya ROCKS Ruby with the forearm! The Outcasts freak out, Willow runs up to DOUBLE LARIAT! Kris hurries to cover Saraya, TWO! Kris is frustrated but she and Saraya brawl with forearms. Stokely says this is all thanks to his “prep talk” earlier. The forearms go back and forth, and Saraya gets the edge! Saraya runs, but into a ROUNDHOUSE! Kris then hits BLUE THUNDER! Cover, TWO!!

Saraya survives and Kris is furious! Kris hauls Saraya up, whips her to a corner, then runs in to UPPERCUT! Kris goes side to side but Saraya dodges the boot wash! Saraya JAWBREAKERS and calls for Ruby! Willow tags in, drags Saraya back, but Saraya kicks at her! Saraya gets free, reaches out, but Ruby ditches Saraya!! The fans fire up but Saraya is shocked! Harley asks what the hecc, but Ruby DECKS her!! Stokely says we don’t need Maury when we’ve got this! Ruby leaves The Outcasts behind and the fans fire up! Willow then gets Saraya for the BABE WITH THE POWER BOMB!! Cover, Kris & Willow win!

Stokely excuses himself from commentary so that he can celebrate with his dynamic duo! Stokely shakes hands with Kris, and even with Willow. Willow brings Stokely in for a BIG hug! Is this winning helping Stokely come around on this friendship? Wait, speaking of friends, a former friend in Skye Blue appears! She waves hi to Kris & Willow, and then the lights turn out! When they come back up, JULIA HART is right beside Skye! The Princess of the Black Throne has the TBS Championship, is this her daring someone to step up? Kris and Willow aren’t afraid of the dark, but which one of them gets a shot at the gold?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here with a lot of great story build, as has been the new trend for Rampage. Great opening Six Man Tag from Best Friends and Undisputed Kingdom, really good win for The Kingdom and good story stuff of them beating down Rocky. Seems they want to isolate Orange Cassidy so that when The Kingdom interferes during the International Championship match, Cassidy has no one to make the save. I wonder if Roddy tries to make a deal with Ishii like he tried with Komander and maybe that backfires, bringing in more of Chaos to reinforce Cassidy. I suddenly have a weird feeling Kazuchika Okada might end up part of that, and I don’t know how to feel…

The Bucks have quite the genius moment in their squash match win. Yes, Rampage is prerecorded right after Dynamite on Wednesdays, but it is still a powerful thing for them to kayfabe be wearing those bloodied suits two days later. They also have a really good promo after the win that of course sets the groundwork for what I’ve been predicting: The Bucks are gonna take those tag titles from Sting & Darby at Revolution to heap on the heat and truly establish themselves as the Heel Authority Figures of AEW. The only gripe I have is that while they’re really leaning into being obnoxious, I wish they’d change up some of their moves. Other than their finisher(s), they probably don’t need to be doing things like the catapult combo. They should be more technical and brawling now.

Great match from Mistico and Sydal, probably the best overall match of the night. Naturally, Mistico wins here, and as a Face given how the BCC cheated to win on Dynamite. Star Jr. kinda took care of being the Heel, though, when he talked some trash on Matt Menard. Star y Esfinge will have a great match with Moxley & Claudio, but I feel like Moxley & Claudio will win again to escalate the feud towards Revolution. And then great main event, I do appreciate the women got to close the night. And I didn’t think this would be the moment Ruby breaks away from The Outcasts, but maybe that note in her pocket got her thinking, and the miscommunication bump was the last straw. This probably leads to Ruby VS Saraya for Revolution’s Buy-In.

And then great little moment of Skye and Julia showing up to clearly set up the TBS Championship build. They should’ve tried for this sooner, like Worlds End or something, but hey, they’re gonna make it work this time around and I’m gonna like seeing where this is headed.
