The fans fire up and Cassidy frowns as he powers up. Silver gets Reynolds outta there, though! So Cassidy just DIVES onto them both! The fans fire up more and Cassidy drags Reynolds up. Cassidy ROCKS Reynolds, ROCKS him again, then whips him into steel steps!

Cassidy refreshes the ring count, stomps Silver down, then gets Silver up to ROCK him! Cassidy whips Silver hard into railing, then leaves him behind to go after Reynolds. Reynolds drags himself up, Cassidy runs in, but Reynolds wrenches and ROLLING ELBOWS! Cover, TWO! Cassidy is still in this, Reynolds argues the count, but this is also so Silver can drag Cassidy out! BRAINBUSTER to the floor! The fans boo but Silver flexes. Reynolds goes out, puts Cassidy in the ring, and covers, TWO! Reynolds drags Cassidy back up, ROCKS him, and then has Cassidy in a corner. Reynolds fires elbows on Cassidy, then whips him corner to corner hard!

Cassidy bounces off buckles, Reynolds covers, TWO! Cassidy goes to a corner but Reynolds storms up on him. Reynolds taunts Cassidy, stands him up and brings him around, to TOSS out of the ring! The fans boo while Reynolds taunts Cassidy, but the ref keeps his eyes on Silver. The ring count starts, Cassidy stands, and Reynolds drags him into the ropes. Cassidy fires body shots in return, then fires forearms! Cassidy slingshots to sunset flip, TWO! Reynolds CLOBBERS Cassidy then shouts at the fans! The fans boo but Reynolds paces. Cassidy goes to another corner, and Reynolds storms up.

Reynolds puts Cassidy in the ropes, for a DRAPING NECKBREAKER! Cassidy writhes, Reynolds drags him back and covers, TWO! Cassidy toughs it out, this is why he’s a former International Champion! The fans rally up but Reynolds still taunts Cassidy as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Reynolds stomps Cassidy around, drags him around and drops a knee on Cassidy’s neck! Cover, TWO! Cassidy huffs ‘n’ puffs but Reynolds pushes him down to CHOKE him! The ref counts, then backs Reynolds off. Cassidy sputters and crawls, but Reynolds clamps on with a neck wrench. Cassidy endures, even as Reynolds leans on the hold, and the fans rally up. Cassidy pries the hold apart as eh stands, and he turns things around to shove Reynolds into a corner! Cassidy runs in but Reynold dodges to come back and ELBOW! Reynolds keeps moving and he UPPERCUTS Cassidy down! Cover, TWO!

Cassidy stays in this but Reynolds smirks as Rampage returns to single picture. Reynolds looms over Cassidy, pie faces him as he says Cassidy has no more friends! Cassidy shakes his head, Reynolds stomps him! Cassidy fires up as Reynolds keeps giving him more kicks! Cassidy rises, hands up, and then he DECKS Reynolds! Hands up for real now, and in the pockets! SHOTGUN! Reynolds ends up in a corner, Cassidy “stomps” a mudhole! Then he actually stomps and stomps and stomps! The fans fire up as Cassidy gets space, runs up, but is put on the apron! Cassidy ROCKS Reynolds, goes up, and CROSSBODIES!

The fans fire up as Cassidy DIVES onto Silver again! Cassidy gets back in, tilt-o-whirl but no DDT as Reynolds cradle counters! TWO, and Cassidy runs up, but into a POP UP KNEE! And PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and Reynolds is frustrated! The fans rally for Cassidy but Reynolds aims out of a corner. Reynolds runs in, but into an ELBOW! Cassidy then BOOTS, then goes up! Reynolds ROCKS Cassidy first, then goes up after Cassidy. Reynolds brings Cassidy up but Cassidy resists! The fans rally as Cassidy throws body shots! Cassidy HEADBUTTS Reynolds down, but Reynolds calls the ref. Silver trips Cassidy up!

The fans boo as Silver gloats, and Reynolds BOOTS Cassidy! Reynolds goes up, brings Cassidy up, SUPER STUNNER!! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and Reynolds is furious! But Silver drags Cassidy out of the ring! But he gets STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Cassidy sees Reynolds coming, and dodges so that the DIVE takes out Silver! ORANGE PUNCH!! Cassidy puts Reynolds in, but then runs up on Silver to ORANGE PUNCH!! Cassidy returns to the ring, throws off his elbow pad, and he serves up another ORANGE PUNCH!! Cover, Cassidy wins!

The Freshly Squeezed fury takes out both members of Dark Order, and Renee Paquette steps in to congratulate Cassidy on the big win here. But we’ve been dying to hear from Cassidy after what happened with Trent Beretta, the implosion of Best Friends. What happened? Cassidy catches his breath, says hi, and then notices someone on stage. It’s TRENT! The fans boo as Trent makes his way down the ramp, and Chuck Taylor gets in the ring from behind!? But then the Kentucky Gentleman stands between Cassidy and Trent! Whose Best Friend is he? Trent is upset with Chuck and leaves, but then Chuck leaves, too.

Cassidy sees one friend storm off one way, the other into the crowd, are Best Friends truly done in AEW?

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.

Alex Marvez is with the Star of the Show. Frustration got the better of her on Dynamite against Mariah May, but why? Anna says no, the real question is, “What is going on around here?” Everyone is messing around, kissing, drinking champagne, but no one is taking this seriously! And she is over it! Toni Storm, Mariah May, and now Mina Shirakawa, being all kissy kissy, playing around. This is barely even about wrestling anymore! But then Stardom’s AZM steps in and right to Anna. AZM says Mina is stupid. Mariah is also stupid. But the most stupid of all? Toni Storm. Anna agrees there.

So AZM calls out Toni Storm for a match on Collision! Kiss THIS! Seems Anna has some backup in the Highspeed Superstar. Will they make Mina, Mariah and the leading lady of AEW take this all seriously?

AEW TBS Championship Open House Rules: Julia Hart VS Leyla Hirsch!

Speaking of people taking things seriously, the Princess of the Black Throne certainly takes her role as champion seriously. She is meant to have a match with Willow Nightingale on April 21st at Dynasty, but she’s willing to give this LEGIT challenger her shot tonight. And with dealer’s choice being a ringside ban on The House of Black, will Leyla be able to win in a fair fight? Or will Julia prove that no matter what, The House Always Wins?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who moves on to Dynasty!

The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two stare down. They tie up, go around, and Julia puts Leyla in a corner. Leyla turns it around, but then Julia avoids the haymaker to trip Leyla up! Julia grins and the fans rally up but Leyla brushes that off. The two reset, tie up, and Leyla waistlocks to SLAM Julia down. Julia scrambles away to the outside, using the House’s 20 count. Leyla won’t wait, though, and she builds speed, to DIVE into a forearm! Julia has Leyla stuck in the ropes, turns her around, and hits a HOTSHOT NECKBREAKER! Julia storms in, CLUBS Leyla, then kicks her around.

Julia puts Leyla back in ropes to then sit on her, and have a HANGING HEADSCISSOR! The ref counts, Julia sits back up to step off of Leyla. Leyla sputters to a corner but Julia CLUBS her! Leyla shoves Julia, Julia ROCKS her back, and then ROCKS her again and again in the corner! The ref counts, Julia lets off, but then Leyla fires back! Julia ROCKS Leyla again, runs Leyla side to side to SMACK her off buckles, then Julia stands on Leyla’s ribs! The ref counts, Julia steps away, and Leyla sputters. Julia sits Leyla up in the corner to fire shots, then she whips corner to corner! Leyla hits hard, Julia handsprings, but Leyla catches her!

Leyla has a Canadian Rack for the CLIFFHANGER! Julia tumbles out, Leyla DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! Leyla drags Julia up and puts her in, but that tope suicida may’ve also hurt Leyla’s nose. Julia guards in the corner, her shoulder still a concern with all that KT tape. The ref has Leyla hold on, Julia even kicks at her. Leyla storms back up, but Julia gets her in a cradle! JULIA WINS!

Don Callis himself says that tomorrow night on Collision, Will Hobbs & Kyle Fletcher will take on the Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson. And for once, Callis doesn’t care if they win. He doesn’t care about pinfalls, submissions, etc. He wants punishment! He wants Bryan in pain, compromised ahead of his match with Will Ospreay at Dynasty! Why? Because we all know Ospreay is the golden goose, and when you’ve got the golden goose, you protect the golden goose! So don’t just chop Bryan, don’t just hit him with forearms, this needs to be old school, like back in the Portland territories!

Gouge Bryan’s eyes! Pop ’em! Kick him in the kneecaps! CHOP and break blood vessels! Callis chops Hobbs but hurts his own hand doing it! But can they do that for him? Callis wants Danielson in the dirt ahead of Dynasty! Then the Don Callis Family and Will BAH GAWD Ospreay will roll on through 2024! The golden goose will continue to deliver golden matches! Have they ever pulled eyes out? It feels good. Kyle and Hobbs are ready, will they demolish Danielson and Claudio ahead of Dynasty? Or will the American Dragon and Swiss Superman be ready for the Powerhosue and the Protostar?

Zak Knight w/ The Outcasts VS Angelo Parker!

The Outcasts have been working to ruin the relationship of Cool Hand Ange and Ruby Soho since day one, and it seems to have worked. But now, with nothing left to lose, from losing the girl to losing his mentor, will he stop at nothing to tear down Zak the Zodiac?

The moment Zak’s down the ramp, Parker goes out to attack! The fans fire up, Zak shoves Parker away and then Saraya & Harley get in Parker’s face! That allows Zak to POUNCE Parker into the post! Zak clears off railing, tells fans to move back, then he gets Parker up to UPPERCUT! Zak aims, and he goes up the railing to FLYING FOREARM! Down goes Parker but the fans boo! Zak drags Parker up, ROCKS him, then gets in Parker’s face. Zak pulls Parker’s ear to stand him up and CHOP! Zak SMACKS Parker off the desk, throws down hands, then ROCKS Parker again! Zak CHOKES Parker, and BITES Parker’s face!

Zak THROWS Parker down, then storms his way into the ring. The fans boo, Parker rises up but he’s bleeding! Parker tells the medics to let him fight, and he storms his way in! Parker shouts at the ref to ring the bell, so the bell does ring! Zak runs in, Parker dodges and then fires off hands! The fans fire up but Zak CHOPS in return! Parker sputters, Zak scuffs him, and then DECKS him! And DECKS him again! Parker stagger sup, Zak DIGS his knuckles into the bloody forehead! The ref counts, Zak lets off at 4 with an ELBOW! Saraya tells the fans to shut up, and Zak ROCKS Parker again! Zak whips corner to corner hard and Parker falls!

The fans rally for Parker but the Outcasts soak up the heat as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Zak runs up on Parker to BOOT him down! Zak fireman’s carries, and give shim a SAMOAN DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Parker is still in this and The Outcasts are upset. Zak clamps onto Parker, DIGS his knuckles into the forehead, then DECKS Parker. And DECKS him again! And again! Parker still sit sup, Zak ROCKS him again! Zak DIGS his fingers into the wound, wanting to bleed Parker! Saraya talks trash, probably on Ruby, and Zak ROCKS Parker again. Zak grinds Parker’s face off the ropes! Then SMACKS him off buckles! Zak soaks up heat, then he stalks Parker. Parker CHOPS back, but Zak gets up in Parker’s face.

Zak stands Parker up to BODY BLOW! Parker sputters and staggers, Harley blows kisses to the camera, and Saraya continues to shout about things. Zak pushes Parker to a cover, TWO! Zak looms over Parker, clamps on a chinlock and grinds him down again. Parker endures, the fans rally up, and Parker fights to his feet. Parker throws elbows, runs, but Zak ELBOWS him down! Zak soaks up the heat, scuffs Parker around, and looms over him Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns and Parker has turned things around! BULLDOG! The fans fire up as Parker runs back up, BLOCKBUSTER! The fans fire up as Zak is dazed and Parker roars! Parker hammers away, reels Zak in, IMPALER! Parker has to crawl to the cover, but then Harley AND Saraya get on the apron! The ref tells them both to stop, and he EJECTS them both! The fans cheer while the Outcasts throw fits! Saraya goes up the ramp, Harley follows, but Zak LOW BLOWS Parker!! POP UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO?!? Parker survives and Zak is furious! The fans fire up as Zak shouts at Parker, “Is this what you want?!”

Zak SLAPS Parker, drags him up, and wrenches to then HEADBUTT!! Parker drops to his knees, but he shakes his head! Zak says Parker’s already lost everything, just stay down! BOOT!! But Parker sits back up! Zak waits on him to rise up, the fans continue to rally, and Zak says he’ll take care of Ruby! Parker is furious and he fires off fists! The fans fire up as Parker ROCKS Zak, KNEES Zak, but Zak rewinds! Parker dodges one lariat but not the RIGHT! Cover, TWO!! Parker still lives! The fans are thunderous and Zak is beside himself! Zak watches Parker flounder around, Parker rises up, and then Zak runs, to FOREARM SMASH!! Cover, Zak wins!

Parker showed his grit, but he couldn’t withstand that killer right hand. The Outcasts return to talk trash on Parker, and Saraya hopes Ruby saw this. Zak paints his chest with Parker’s blood, will this be just the first trophy of many?

BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Rampage!

Instead of Friday nights, Saturday night’s alright for a fight, so it will be BACK-TO-BACK Collision and Rampage in that order! THREE HOURS of AEW action on April 20th, the night before Dynasty!

Backstage interview with Kyle O’Reilly and Rocky Romero.

Alex Marvez is with #CombatKyle and Azucar, and says Kyle requested this time to speak with Rocky. Kyle wanted to say Rocky is one of his all-time favorite opponents. Singles matches, tag matches, every time they’ve fought, Kyle has become a better wrestler. That is what he needs right now, so if Rocky’s free, Kyle would love to run it back. Rocky says he shares that same sentiment. Not only is Kyle a great wrestler, he is a killer in the ring, and a sweet guy outside it. Rocky gets to face Roderick Strong in an International Championship Eliminator tomorrow night. Rocky plans on winning that Collision, then beating Roddy again for the title. Because who is more international than Rocky Azucar Romero?

Kyle says okay, if/when Rocky becomes champion, it’d be an honor for Kyle to challenge him. Rocky says not if, but when. They shake hands, head out, but then Roddy shouts after “KYYYLE~!” Kyle turns around to see The Undisputed Kingdom and Roddy asks what that was about. Was Kyle implying that “One-Eyed Willy” could actually beat Roddy? But y’know what, Roddy wants to make sure Kyle watches. Roddy will put a show on for Kyle, in a “beating of a lifetime” for Rocky. But the thing that bugs Roddy the most is that it seems Kyle wants his own shot at the International Championship.

Kyle says hey, they’re all his friends, and out of respect for Roddy and the title, Kyle wasn’t gonna just come outta nowhere to challenge Roddy. But yeah, not that you mention it, Kyle thinks it’d be cool if he were champ. Roddy says he respects that, and wants Kyle to be a champion, too. But Kyle can’t be the International Champion. And Roddy respects Kyle doing things on his own, as long as it doesn’t involve Roddy. The Undisputed Kingdom heads out, is this another story of success getting in between friends?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision and Battle of the Belts X!

Not only are we getting BCC VS DCF, not only is AZM getting an AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator against Toni Storm, but Katsuyori Shibata looks to get even with Lee Moriarty for the underhanded way Shane Taylor Promotions won the Six Man Tag on Dynamite. And then, the tenth edition of BOTB sees Roddy VS Rocky in a title eliminator, plus Hook VS Shane Taylor for the FTW Championship, and the ROH Women’s World Champion, Athena, taking on Red Velvet! Will the landscapes of both AEW and ROH be shifted after this Saturday?

Jay White w/ The Gunns VS Matt Sydal!

The Switchblade made an example out of Daddy Ass, he and the Gunns made examples out of Monster Sauce & Minoru Suzuki, but White vows to keep that momentum going here tonight. Will he “hit another homerun” on Rampage? Or will the Zen Assassin find a way to kill the win streak?

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally, White and Sydal talk trash, and the fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS~!” White backs off to console the Gunns, then he and Sydal circle. They tie up, White puts Sydal in a corner, and then lets off slowly. Sydal avoids the cheap shot, but then White uses ropes as a defense! Sydal backs off, White storms up, and they tie up. White puts Sydal in the corner, Sydal avoids the chop to KICK! KICK! And KICK! White shoves Sydal away but Sydal dropkicks the legs out! The fans rally and Sydal stalks White to then KICK the leg! White writhes but Sydal brings him up. White blocks the whip, reverses it, then hops over the basement dropkick!

White CHOPS Sydal, then CHOPS again! White whips, pops Sydal up, but Sydal RANAS! White gets up, Sydal dodges and runs in to RANA again! White staggers up, into the JUMP SOBAT! White falls, the fans fire up, and Sydal gets the Gunns to back off. Sydal brings White up but White scoops. Sydal slips free, for the SLICE! Sydal gets up from the leg drop DDT, then STANDING MARIPOSAS! The fans fire up while White flounders to a corner. Sydal storms up but into a CHOP! White CHOPS again, Sydal’s chest is red, and White back suplexes, only for Sydal to RANA! White tumbles out, Sydal WRECKS him with a dropkick!

Sydal goes to the apron, takes aim, and he FLYING METEORAS! Direct hit to White and the fans fire up again! The Gunns coach White but Sydal storms up again. Sydal drags White up and into the ring, storms in, but White fireman’s carries! TKO HOTSHOT! Sydal sputters to the floor, White goes out to suplex, but Sydal slips free! White CHOPS again, then resets, APRON GOURD BUSTER! Sydal flounders while The Gunns help White cool off. The ref checks Sydal while White leaves him behind, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Sydal flounders, but White goes out after him. White brings Sydal around to CHOP again, and Sydal sputters. White refreshes the ring count while The Gunns taunt Sydal. White puts Sydal in, drags him down to a cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Sydal is hanging in there but White is playing the long game. White grins as he CHOPS Sydal in a corner! White then TOSSES Sydal out, takes aim, but he fakes a bad knee so that the Gunns can mug Sydal! The Gunns tell the fans to “SUCK IT!” then White goes out to fetch Sydal. White puts Sydal in to cover, TWO! Sydal is still tougher than that and White is annoyed.

White drags Sydal up, wrenches, and kicks low. And kicks, and kicks, and then hammerlocks. White turns Sydal, brings him up, it’s a modified GORY ESPECIAL! Sydal endures as White marches around, then turns around to snap suplex! White keeps Sydal from ropes, covers, TWO! White clamps onto Sydal with a chinlock, Sydal fights up fast and throws hands! Sydal then KICKS White in the chest! Sydal kicks again but White blocks, to DRAGON SCREW! Sydal writhes but White grabs the leg to stomp it! White stomps the other leg, too, then clamps the chinlock back on. Sydal endures, even as White digs his knee in.

Sydal fights up again, but White snapmares him down. Rampage returns to single picture as Sydal endures the squeeze. The fans rally, Sydal fights up again, even as White shifts his grip. Sydal throws body shots but White snapmares and chinlocks again. The Gunns laugh at Sydal’s suffering but the fans rally up. Sydal fights up one more time, but White CHOPS him! White snapmares again, but Sydal springs up to JUMP KNEE! White swings, Sydal dodges, and WHEEL KICKS! The fans fire up while both men are down! The fans rally up and Sydal KICKS! And KICKS! And KICKS, KICKS, and KICKS again!

Sydal points, but the QUESTION MARK KICK gets White! Cover, TWO!! White survives the trickery and the Gunns can breathe again. Sydal goes up while White’s in the drop zone, and the Gunns shout a warning. White hurries up, Sydal jumps over, but White kicks low! White reels Sydal in to get him up, but Sydal DDT counters!! Cover, TWO!! White survives again, reminding us why he’s a NJPW Grand Slam Champion! The fans rally, Sydal drags White up, but White breaks free! Sydal goes Matrix to avoid the chop! Sydal headlocks, but White CLAWS eyes to stop the fireman’s carry! White fireman’s carries, but Sydal slips free to roll and BRIDGE! TWO!!

White escapes, clinches, and URENAGES! Cover, TWO! Sydal survives and shakes his head! White is frustrated, but he clamps on a SLEEPER! Sylda fights the sleeper suplex, but White CLUBS Sydal! SNAP SLEEPER but Sydal lands on his feet! White ducks the roundhouse and clinches, but Sydal slips free! Sydal hops up, POISON-RANA! White is in the drop zone, Sydal goes up! The Gunns shout another warning and White flounders. Sydal still leaps to METE- NO, BLADERUNNER!! Cover, White wins!

The Switchblade defeats his former Team Search & Destroy mentor, proving he isn’t that Kiwi Kid from back in the day. The Bang Bang Gang is still red hot, will they soon add the AEW World Trios Championships to their ROH World Six Man titles?

My Thoughts:

A really good Rampage here, with some good story stuff finding its way in. Cassidy gets the opening match spot back and has a really good match with Reynolds. I almost thought he was gonna squash Reynolds but that wouldn’t be fair to Reynolds. Then great little bit with Trent showing up wanting to attack Cassidy but Chuck Taylor swerving us on the Heel turn. Chuck won’t let Trent go after Cassidy, but he apparently doesn’t wanna hang around Cassidy anymore, either. There’s definitely going to be Trent VS Cassidy but it’d be wild if Chuck had matches with either one of them, or even a Triple Threat for them to all settle things at once.

Good promo from Rocky with Kyle and then Undisputed Kingdom. The International Championship was of course going to prove to be a problem for Kyle and Roddy, but clever move to bring in a third party and for Roddy to take offense. Roddy surely beats Rocky, but maybe The Kingdom beating up on Rocky brings Kyle out because Kyle has respect enough for Rocky to not let him get bullied. Kyle VS Roddy for the International Championship could even happen as soon as Dynasty, but that almost seems too soon for this story to turn like that. That aside, good promo from Don Callis Family, their tag match with BCC is gonna be really good.

Good promo from Anna and AZM to establish a team that will counter Toni Storm and Mariah May, or maybe the team of Mina and Mariah May, who knows what. Storm VS AZM will be really good stuff, but with Thunder Rosa coming after Storm, I would think Storm wins against AZM to have momentum. Then AZM & Anna can take on #RoseGold, Mina & Mariah, in a tag match on the side. And great to see the ROH Women’s World Championship is becoming part of Battle of the Belts X. Still surprised Athena hasn’t made the move to AEW to go after the AEW Women’s title, but this BOTB match might help get people who haven’t been watching ROH to try.

Really good match from Julia and Leyla, though a ringside ban seems like another throwaway stipulation to keep this a simple match. I was a little worried for Julia in her shoulder injury fake out but I suppose that’s all it was. Julia has momentum going into the Mixed Tag, which maybe she and Brody find a way to win, as I would think Willow wins at Dynasty. There’s a chance there will be a lot of overbooking with the rest of the House of Black since there’s also the Six Man Tag to hype up, so maybe Malakai & Brody make sure Edge takes the pin to Brody before “Rated R Chickenhawks” win at Dynasty.

Really good stuff from Parker and Zak here, especially in the story of Parker showing some real toughness. A little surprised we didn’t get Ruby somewhere in this, but she did say she was washing her hands of this until it was over. Maybe she’ll reunite with Parker in some backstage post show segment we see tomorrow night, because I still feel like this has to lead to Ruby VS Saraya. And really good main event out of White VS Sydal. White of course won to keep momentum on Bullet Club Gold’s side, all the more reason I think they lose to Acclaimed in the trios match. At the same time, still wouldn’t mind the ROH titles also being on the line, winners take all, then the best trio in AEW & ROH combined will show up on both Collisions and ROH weekly episodes.
