PLAY BY PLAY

Ian Riccaboni is in the ring.

And he welcomes out “the man who will accept any stipulation Mark Briscoe sets for All Out, the Casino Gauntlet contract holder, the CMLL World (Light Heavyweight) Champion, and the longest-reigning AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF.” The fans boo as The Scumbag makes his entrance. MJF joins Ian in the ring, then tells Ian that here is what will happen. Ian will stand there, shut his mouth, and be a good little mic stand for MJF. The fans boo and MJF says he thought this was the City of Brotherly Love, what’s going on? MJF would tell them to listen up, but he knows they’re all so poor, they can’t even pay attention.

And if THAT went over your heads, then congrats, you’re about as dumb as Mark Briscoe. But speaking of Mark… What he experienced last week was just eye for an eye. Briscoe cost MJF at Forbidden Door, so he cost Briscoe last week. Yet he’s the bad guy? “YES!” Well, the only reason these fans champion Mark Briscoe is because he stuck it to the man everyone is jealous of. MJF is the man in major motion pictures, he is the CMLL World (Light Heavyweight) Champion, and soon-to-be your NEXT–after he beats that loser, Hangman Page–AEW World Champion! Unless that shmuck, Kyle Fletcher wins.

But Briscoe, you’re not proud of being Blue Collar, no one is! It’s what you say so you don’t choke down a bottle of pills and chase it with a bottle of Jack. MJF is just born better. They were born broke, so mediocrity is in theirs. That is why at All Out, MJF will let Briscoe choose the stipulation. Because guys like Briscoe work hard day in and day out, and it doesn’t change anything! Which is precisely why, when the match is over, when the bell has rung, much like for the entirety of human civilization, Blue Collar will bust, and White Collar will win! MJF puts up a W for him being White Collar, but Briscoe is on the tron!

“Look at you, Max! You pathetic little man. Matter of fact, lemme slow down for a second. Max, I gotta say thank you. That’s right. I gotta say thank you, Max, because you have provided me with a sense of excitement I have not felt since I was a little boy waiting on Santa Claus. You told me that I get to choose the stipulation for our match at All Out. And since then, there’s been so many thoughts and ideas in my head, it’s been hard to land on anything! Cuz everything sounds so good! But I think I got an idea. We’re here in Philly, right? Philly, y’all know a thing or two about tables, am I right?” The fans cheer that!

In fact, Briscoe watched the man named Sabu put at least 100 people through tables in this very building! So let us make that the first piece of the puzzle. Then Briscoe’s mind is so crazy, here we are on TNT! Tables N… Oh, well, MJF is a generational pr*ck, so let’s make it THUMBTACKS! And Briscoe isn’t talking about a dozen, a hundred, a thousand, he’s talking TENS OF THOUSANDS OF THUMBTACKS! T N T, Tables ‘N’ Tacks, a No Disqualification type environment, where of course anything and everything can go down! But that should be sufficient for the ass whooping MJF has had coming! The whooping his wife should’ve gave MJF after last week!

That reminds Briscoe… He never did give MJF his wedding present. How about he gives it to MJF right now? Turn around, dumbass! MJF turns around, and THE REAL BRISCOE ATTACKS! They brawl, the fans cheer Briscoe, boo MJF, but Briscoe gets the edge! And he brings out a bag! Briscoe pours out a bunch of tacks! Briscoe underhooks MJF’s arms, but MJF breaks free! MJF runs away, but Briscoe tells MJF he has just one week left! Briscoe then blows his nose in the scarf! Will the Sussex County Chicken turn MJF into a human pincushion when these two go All Out in Toronto?

Backstage interview with Holo.grm & The Paragon.

But before Lexy Nair can really get started, the broadcast glitches out. Hologram seems to feel that disturbance, and Roderick Strong doesn’t help but asking why Hologram is even here. Kyle O’Reilly says this is them conglomerating, okay? Also, he’s Hologram, so he might not physically be here. But third, they’re all just shocked and appalled at Daniel Garcia’s behavior. What happened to Danny Boy that he’d do this? Such a good boy, so respectful, so what happened to him? He lost the TNT title to Adam Cole, kept slipping down the ranks, more frustrated and flustered, and now he sunk so low as to accept help from a sadist like Jon Moxley!

Kyle is disappointed, the fans are disappointed, even Cole called in and told Kyle how ashamed Cole is to have called Garcia a friend. Wait, Cole called Kyle and not Roddy? “DANNY~!” Roddy wants Garcia to know, it doesn’t matter what he does with his life, but the fact that he upset Roddy’s best friend, Adam Cole, after all he has been through… Tonight, Roddy beats Garcia’s ass! And he’ll beat Moxley’s ass just cuz. Roddy heads out, Kyle double checks with Hologram, and yes, he is physically there. Kyle has Hologram follow with, but will things go alright for them against the Death Riders?

AEW Unified Championship Triple Threat Qualifier: Konosuke Takeshita VS Anthony Bowens!

The Don Callis Family has quite the edge in this “tournament” for the Unified Championship with how The Alpha is in this match and The Rainmaker in the running later tonight. But will the G1 Climax 35 winner keep the ball rolling? Or will the 5 Tool Player strike out the leadoff hitter?

The bell rings and per Continental Division rules, Callis can only be on commentary or face severe consequences. Bowens and Konosuke circle, the fans rally and the two tie up. Konosuke KNEES low, CLUBS Bowens to a corner, then fires forearms. Konosuke CHOPS, the fans “WOO~,” and Bowens goes to another corner. Bowens kicks low, fires CHOPS of his own, but Konosuke CLAWS Bowens’ eyes! the ref reprimands, the fans are torn, but Konosuke whips. Bowens reverses, but Konosuke ducks ‘n’ dodges to TAKESHITA LINE! The fans fire up for that one, and Konosuke stalks Bowens. Konosuke CLUBS Bowens to the ropes.

Konosuke whips, Bowens hurdles, then slips around, FLOATOVER DDT! Bowens then hooks the arms, turns Konosuke, CORDING HOLD NECKBREAKER! Bowens covers, TWO! Konosuke stays in this, but Bowens rallies up the fans. Bowens brings Konosuke up, CHOPS, and then whips. Bowens then runs up, he blocks Konosuke’s boot, and he CLUBS the leg into a KNEE JAMMER! And then DRAGON SCREW! Konosuke slumps against ropes while the fans are torn, but Bowens drags Konosuke up. Konosuke blocks a shot to bump Bowens off buckles first! The fans rally up, but then Bowens YANKS Konosuke into the POST!

Konosuke falls, the fans cuss out Callis, but Bowens goes up! SUPER CROSSBODY! Both men go down and Collision goes picture in picture!

The ref checks both men, and both are able to continue. Bowens rises up, clutches his side, and he drags Konosuke into the ring. Bowens CLUBS Konosuke, then runs to ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Konosuke is tougher than that but Bowens is frustrated. Bowens stomps Konosuke into the corner, stomps a mudhole, then lets off to throw up the scissors. Bowens then stalks Konosuke, ROCKS him, then reels him in. Konosuke fights the suplex, suplexes in return, but Bowens slips free, only for Konosuke to hit a STUNNER! Both men are down but the fans rally up, and Konosuke rises first. Konosuke fires forearms, Bowens fires back!

The forearms go back and forth, harder and harder, then Konosuke winds up to fire a flurry! Konosuke ROCKS Bowens, roars, and Collision returns to single picture. Konosuke fires boxing elbows, but Bowens ELBOWS for Rock, Paper, Scissors, SUPERKICK! Cover, TWO! Konosuke toughs it out, Bowens gets mad, and Bowens stands Konosuke up. Bowens mule kicks, front kicks, then runs to FAM- NO, Konosuke slips out to go up, POISON-RANA! But Bowens gets right back up! FAMOUSER!! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous! Bowens crawls to cover, TWO! Bowens huffs ‘n’ puffs and he drags Konosuke to a drop zone.

Bowens says he’s gonna hit the Mic Drop! The fans boo, that’s Caster’s move! But then Konosuke rises to ROCK Bowens! The fans fire up as Konosuke climbs, but Bowens fires body shots! Bowens slips out to SUPERKICK the legs! ENZIGIRI and Konosuke is in the Tree of Woe! Bowens brings him up, DRAPING SIDEWINDER! Cover, TWO! Konosuke survives and Bowens is shocked! Callis already wants to recruit Bowens as he stands Konosuke up. Konosuke CHOPS! Bowens CHOPS! They go back and forth, then Bowens CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Konosuke winds up, ALPHA ELBOW! Bowens drops!

Konosuke brings Bowens back up, runs the ropes, but into the Rock, Paper, Scissors- but no Superkick! Bowens BOOTS the lariat, but both men stagger back. Bowens runs up, but into a clinch! EXPLODER! The fans fire up, Konosuke runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Konosuke still runs up, but into the ARRIVAL! Cover, TWO! And ghost pin, TWO!! Bowens escapes, MOLLY WHOP!! But Konosuke falls right outta the ring! Bowens goes outside, the fans are thunderous, and Bowens says deuces to Callis. Bowens puts Konosuke in, “This is Awesome!” as Konosuke shoves Bowens. Bowens BOOTS, and MOLLY- BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!

Bowens sputters, Konosuke hits the POWER DRIVE KNEE!! And then RAGING FIRE!! Cover, Konosuke wins!

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita, by pinfall (advances to All Out)

The Alpha is the first man in! Callis is proud, but will he be even more excited after Kazuchika Okada faces Michael Oku and retains the title? Or will things all take quite the turn later tonight?

Mascara Dorada speaks.

The King of the Ropes knows, “The road to All Out wont’ be easy. I know The Beast Mortos stands in my way. But I see the weaknesses of this monster. I face a beast that growls but doesn’t bite. And it will be me, Mascara Dorada, who represents Mexican Lucha Libre at All Out!  Whatever it takes!” That battle happens next Wednesday, and it will surely be a September to Remember!

Toni Storm is here!

The TIMELESS AEW Women’s World Champion is ready to go All Out against three opponents at once, but she is joining commentary for this 10 Woman Tag that’s all about the money! Who steals the spotlight while cashing in on half a million dollars? We find out, after the break!

$500K 10 Woman Tag: Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter & TayJay VS Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford & The Triangle of Madness!

Collision returns as Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blue make their entrance, followed by The Megasus and her Superbad Harbinger, aka Toni’s “favorite mother daughter combo.” Then Tay Melo & Anna Jay make their entrance, followed by the Wild Aussie, The Galaxy’s Greatest, and then last but certainly not least, Jamie Hayter. We now get the interview Hayter’s team did with Lexy Nair before the show, and Lexy knows there is a lot of tension here given Kris and Hayter are going for the Women’s World Championship at All Out. Harley says yes, a good tension, but there’s solidarity! Most of them have all teamed together, now they’re adding Jamie, bring it in!

Tay said that is a nice sentiment and all, but they don’t trust Kris. They want nothing to do with the Death Riders. Kris says there’s NOTHING between her and the Death Rider! How many times does she have to say it?! She’s the one teaming with a woman who practically took her head off! Hayter says don’t go pointing fingers at her! They ain’t mates, they ain’t partners, and Hayter will do anything she must to get the title at All Out. Kris says she’ll have to! Harley says girls, there’s 500K to win! They’re all gonna be rich! So hands in, let’s get brunch to celebrate! The “team” already left… But will they all pull together when it matters?

The teams sort out and wait, Wheeler Yuta appears at ringside. Yuta applauds Kris as she starts, but then everyone else takes notice of him. Hayter tells him to scram, the fans cuss Yuta out, so Yuta does take his leave. Kris frowns, but then Hayter tags in! Hayter and Megan start now, they circle, and they tie up. Megan holds her ground and they break. Hayter and Megan go again, Megan headlocks, but Hayter powers up and out. The fans cheer Hayter as she drops down, but Megan blocks the hip toss. Hayter blocks the hip toss, Megan avoids the lariat, and Megan fireman’s carries. Hayter slips free and shoves Megan to BOOT her!

Megan stays up and just frowns! Then Megan BOOTS Hayter down! Harley tags in and the fans cheer! Harley runs up, slips around Megan, then headlocks. Megan powers up and powers out, Harley RAMS her, but Megan just brushes that off. Harley runs, RAMS Megan again, but Megan just smirks. Harley runs, but Megan RUNS her over! The fans boo but Megan soaks up that heat. Megan kicks Harley, runs, but Harley follows and tilt-o-whirls! The fans fire up for the HARLEY-GO-ROUND! Megan is sent to her corner, Ford tags in, but then so does Anna! Anna wrenches, HOOK KICKS, then sends Ford to the corner.

Anna runs in, LEG LARIATS, and she tags in Tay. Snapmare and Tay runs to KNEE Ford in the face! Anna adds a THROWBACK STUNNER! Cover, TWO! Tay rains down forearms! Kris intercepts Megan, and now it all breaks down! Toni says “Look at them go!” Kris, Hayter, Anna and Harley each have someone in a corner, and they all climb up! The fans fire up as we get a QUINTUPLE RAIN OF FISTS! The fans count along, and even Tay goes all the way to TEN! The fans cheer, but then Megan and the Triangle all YANK their opponents down! The fans boo as now they all stomp mudholes! The fans boo but Ford covers Tay, ONE!!

Ford is annoyed, but her team beats down Tay’s team. Ford headlocks, Tay fires body shots, but Ford CLUBS Tay! Ford whips, Tay reverses, someone is sent into barriers, and Ford BOOTS Tay away! Ford drop toeholds Tay onto the ropes, then runs to DROPKICK! Ford soaks up heat while she also CHOKES Tay on the ropes, and Toni cues us to the picture in picture before Schiavone can.

The ref counts, Ford YANKS the ropes to snap Tay back, then she drags Tay up. Ford bumps Tay off buckles, tags Skye in, and Skye stomps a mudhole into Tay. Skye digs her boots in, the ref counts, and Skye steps off. Tay sputters, Skye drags her up, and Skye snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! Skye drags Tay up and around, brings her over, and Julia tags in. They mug Tay, then Julia drags Tay around to CLUB her. Julia whips Tay to a corner, runs in, but Tay dodges! Tay UPPERCUTS, then hurries for her corner, hot tag to Kris! Kris LARIATS Julia, BLASTS the rest of Julia’s team, then suplexes Julia!

Julia lands out, and she CHOP BLOCKS Kris! Cover, TWO! Julia clamps onto Kris and DRIBBLES her off the mat! Julia drags Kris up, tags Thekla, and the Triangle is in control as Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as Hayter whips Skye, but Megan sneaks a tag. Hayter SPINEBUSTERS Skye, but Megan brings Hayter up to FALCON ARROW! Cover, Kris breaks it! The fans cheer, Kris fires forearms, but Ford spins Kris around! Kris takes a swing but Ford goes Matrix! STUNNER! Megan then gives Ford a lift, THROWING STUNNER! The fans fire up for that combo, but now TayJay DOUBLE SUPERKICK! And they DOUBLE DDT! The fans fire up again, but Skye & Julia get TayJay! They waistlock, but Harley makes the save! Skye ROCKS Harley for it, then Skye and Julia DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER Tay to DOUBLE SUPERKICK!

Harley KNEES Skye, Kris picks up Julia! Harley runs, ATOMIC FACEBUSTER! Thekla runs in, dodges Kris, and DECKS Harley! Kris SUPERKICKS Thekla! Ford hits a CRUCIFIX DRIVER on Kris! Tay BOOTS Ford! Skye SUPERKICKS Tay! Harley BACKSTABBERS Skye! Julia STOs Harley! Jay FLATLINERS Julia! Hayter and Megan meet again to fire forearms! The fans fire up behind Hayter and boo Megan! Hayter gets the edge, fires shots, but dodges a lariat! DOUBLE LARIATS take both women down! The fans fire up again as both women crawl! “This is Awesome!” and we get hot tags to Thekla and Anna!

Anna fires forearms with Thekla, then runs, but Thekla goes Spider-Walk to dodge! Then she SPEARS! Cover, Thekla’s team wins!

Winners: Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford & The Triangle of Madness, by pinfall (win the $500k prize)

Toni Storm is annoyed, Nigel says it has to do with the spear. But Kris drags Thekla out, they brawl some more! The prize money is secondary when there’s gold on the horizon! And wait! Here come Queen Aminata & Mina Shirakawa! They’ve got the cooler and the tongs, they’re ready to COOK these chicks! BOOT for Ford, COOLER for Megan! And then COOLER for Ford! SPATULA SLAP for Julia! Aminata SPANKS Ford! TayJay helps out, and BREAKING NEWS for the Tailgate Brawl! That’s right! Live at 2PM next Saturday afternoon as the lead-in to All Out, we’re getting an 8 WOMAN TORNADO TAG!

Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, Skye Blue & Julia Hart will face Queen Aminata, Mina Shirakawa, Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale, so consider what we’re seeing right now as an appetizer! Toni Storm gets on the desk and grabs a mic to put it plainly: “BRAWL, B*TCHES!” Then she CROSSBODIES onto everyone!! Toni THROWS Thekla into barriers, Hayter and Kris brawl, then they run to DOUBLE CROSSBODY! Toni whips, but Thekla reverses to send her into steel steps! Thekla puts Toni in the ring, “This is Awesome!” as the rest of the brawlers head to the back! Who is gonna be on fire and who is gonna get roasted next week in Toronto?

As for Toni and her contenders, Thekla has her target! Spider-Walk and TOXIC- NO, she runs into a STORM ZERO!! The Timeless Champion stands tall, even though she swoons and “swims” all over Thekla. Thekla’s team won green, but Toni has the gold. Who will have it all when four of the best go All Out?

Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???

Collision returns and Platinum Max is already in the ring as he says, “This is the Platinum Max Open Challenge, so let’s put five minutes on the clock!” DUN DUN! Caster asks, “Who can survive five with the Best Wrestler Alive?” BIG BILL MORRISSEY? Caster freaks out already as The Redwood makes his way out here, Bryan Keith by his side. Did Caster finally bite off more than he can chew?

The bell rings and the fans cheer Caster on. Caster gets the chant going, “Let’s Go, Max, You’re The Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max, You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” Bill is annoyed already, and he runs up on Caster! Caster runs, but still gets the SPLASH in the corner! Bill mockingly asks where Eddie Kingston is, and he tells him to watch this. Bill CLUBS Caster down! Bill stares into the camera as if he can see Eddie in there. Bill drags Caster up and we already hit a minute. Caster SLAPS Bill, but Bill is just angry now! Caster acts tough, but then he goes to a corner. Bill fires off hands, CLUBS away, then drags Caster out of the corner.

Bill DECKS Caster, then mocks the chant. “Let’s Go, Max! You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” Caster rises, Bill runs in, but Caster dodges! Caster comes back, but into the BIG BOSS MAN SLAM! Cover, Bill wins!

Winner: “Big Bill” Morrissey, by pinfall

It didn’t even take two minutes, and that’s only because Bill toyed with Caster. Bill then gets the mic, and fans chant, “We Want Eddie!” Bill says, “Eddie Kingston, where you at?! At least that New York loudmouth had the balls to show up! Last week, I called you out. And ALL of the idiot internet wrestling fans come at me, how dare I call out the great Eddie Kingston! I don’t deserve to share the same ring as Eddie Kingston! He’s worked all around the world for years, and years, and years, and blah blah blah! Same old story!” The fans cheer for “EDDIE! EDDIE!” but Bill tells Eddie, “These people love you because you look like you do, and you represent them.

“And these people hate me because I look like I do and I’m sick of it!” The fans boo, but Bill says Eddie and the fans worship all the great Japanese wrestling legends~! But guess what? Bill doesn’t give a damn about Japanese wrestling! He doesn’t give a damn about Eddie! And he sure as hell doesn’t give a damn about the fans! Bill knows Eddie posted about sending locations, so how about this? Toronto, Ontario, Canada! ALL OUT! The fans are torn, but Bill says all the idiots on their devices think Eddie has the balls to show up. Bill knows Eddie won’t! And that’s because Eddie is what Bill’s always thought, and what deep down Eddie knows he is…

And that is a typical loudmouth FRAUD! The fans boo but Bill tells them to shove it. But will the Mad King surprise Bill by showing up to chop him down to size?

Backstage interview with Jerry Lynn and Anthony Bowens.

Lexy says Jerry asked for this time to talk with the 5 Tool Player, the floor is his. Jerry brings up last week when he told Bowens to take a long, hard look in the mirror to figure out what is missing. Perhaps Jerry should’ve said who is missing instead. Bowens says he doesn’t need to hear this. But then Max Caster pushes through, not caring who is there! So Bowens goes after him! They brawl back out on stage! Bowens is beyond done tolerating Caster’s attitude, and he THROWS Caster into railing! And then fires off hands! The fans are torn but now this ends up in the ring! Caster LARIATS Bowens! The fans cheer as Caster strikes back!

Caster and Bowens rise up, “Let’s Go, Max! You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” Jerry is disappointed seeing it come to this, but Caster brings Bowens up. Bowens THRWOS Caster into buckles! Bowens stomps away, but Jerry storms into the ring! The fans cheer as Jerry pulls Bowens back! Bowens sees it is Jerry and holds back. Jerry gets a mic to ask, “What the hell is wrong with you two!? Have you lost your freaking minds?! HUH!? Did you forget? I was in Tony’s office when he brought you two in, and he told BOTH of you that he saw something in you together as a tag team! And what happened? You guys fought your way to the top, and you became the World Tag Team Champions!”

The fans cheer, but Caster says he- SHUT UP! Jerry says after that, they both said, and he bets his life on this… They both thought they’d have a great singles run! So what happened? Caster hasn’t won one single match, and Bowens just keeps spinning his wheels. Bowens wants to leave but Jerry keeps talking. Where’s Bowens going? Can’t take the heat? But here come Blake Christian & Lee Johnson! The Vanilla Baby mockingly says he can’t take any more of the “brotherly love.” It makes him SICK to see Jerry, one of the greatest pro-wrestlers to ever step foot in the 2300 Arena, playing therapist! And now he’s gonna ride The Acclaimed’s coattails to become Daddy Ass 2?

The fans boo but Blake says Jerry is wasting his time putting together a broken team that quite frankly hates each other. Jerry should invest his time in a real tag team, like The Swirl! But since we’re all wasting time, maybe Blake & Big Shotty should show everyone first hand what Jerry is missing. Oh, they wanna play? Then show ’em! Jerry takes his shirt off!? He’s still in great shape! But then The Swirl mugs Jerry! Caster saves Jerry, but Jerry is still in trouble! Bowens is conflicted, and dammit, he can’t help it! He gets in there to save Jerry! The fans fire up as Bowens fires off on Blake! Lee goes after Bowens, Jerry brawls with Blake, but then Jerry dodges Blake!

Jerry LARIATS Blake up and out! Bowens DECKS Lee! Jerry LARIATS Lee! The fans fire up as Caster gets up! caster and Bowens DOUBLE LARIAT Lee up and out! Jerry holds their hands up, the fans go wild, but Bowens and Caster each break away. The Acclaimed is not back, not if they can’t put aside their pride. Will Jerry be able to get through to these two and bring back the most critically acclaimed tag team in AEW history?

Backstage interview with Mistico.

Lexy Nair is with The Talisman of CMLL and knows he has a big match ahead of him against MJF for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship, the 91st Anniversario, but he also puts his mask on the line. But then MJF barges in, Jon Cruz Lincoln by his side. MJF says relax, he comes in peace. Now, at Anniversario, it is Title VS Mask, and while MJF won’t be pulling that stupid mask of Mistico for the first time, it’ll be the last time. And then MJF will hop onto his private jet to fly right to Toronto to turn Briscoe into a human pincushion. But for now, here’s what Mistico needs to know.

MJF is not only doing this for his country, he is doing this for the betterment of all pro-wrestling. MJF cannot wait to end Mistico. MJF leaves, Cruz translates, but pretty sure Mistico understood even the English part. And he SLAPS Cruz! Mistico tells MJF he’ll see him next week in Mistico’s house, Arena Mexico! Mistico leaves Cruz out cold, and MJF isn’t coming back for him. Will MJF arrive in Toronto with more or less in his luggage after next Friday?

Tommy & Adam almost had this one again, but it took that bit of nefarious planning to seal the deal. Dax promises that this is the fate Cope & Christian will face in one week! But will FTR really be the end of the C&C reunion? Or will All Out reek with awesomeness?

AEW hears from various tag teams

Christopher Daniels knows the boys have been frustrated, they didn’t get going quite like they wanted. But he has good news! September to Remember, Dante & Darius face Hechicero & Josh Alexander, the winners qualify for All Out’s Fatal 4 Way Ladder match! Juice & Austin are gonna become the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions! It will surely be a September to Remember, but who snags the golden tickest to Toronto?

AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada VS Michael Oku!

Even though he didn’t need to do this as THE Unified Champion, The Rainmaker wants to prove he is truly the greatest tournament wrestler by winning both tonight and at All Out. But that means he risks losing it all, because even one of the best can lose if he underestimates his opponent. Will Okada keep a firm grip on this title? Or will the Master of the Half Crab get the biggest win of his young career?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who’ll bring it to Toronto!

The bell rings and the fans fire up as the two circle. The two tie up, are in a deadlock, but Oku pushes to a waistlock. Okada wrenches to a wristlock, but Ok spins to get the arm and wristlock takedown. Okada headscissors, Oku kips free, and the two stand off. The fans continue to duel as they circle, and they feel things out again. They tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, and Okada puts Oku on the ropes. The ref counts, Okada lets off, and he fakes the slap to pat Oku on the shoulders. But then Oku SLAPS Okada! The fans cheer, but Okada kicks low. Okada headlocks, Oku powers up and out, but Okada runs Oku over!

Oku goes up, but Okada DROPKICKS him off the top! Oku hits barriers as he falls!

The fans go nuts, the ref checks Oku, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Okada waits while Oku writhes, and somehow, Oku is okay to continue. Okada goes out to bring Oku up, and puts him on the barriers for a DRAPING DDT to the floor! Okada then brings Oku up again, puts him in the ring, and he looms over him. Okada kneels down to rain down fists! Oku sputters but he’s still in this, so Okada paces around. Okada drags Oku up again, then turns him for a NECKBREAKER! Oku writhes but Okada has clearly zoned in on a target as Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as Okada scoops Oku and SLAMS him! Then the standard formula brings Okada to the top rope, for the MACHO ELBOW! Okada winds it up, and the fans cheer the Rainmaker MIDDLE FINGER! Okada drags Oku up, wristlocks, but Oku fights with elbows! Oku is free and PELES! Okada wobbles, the fans fire up, and Oku whips to then go the other way. Okada avoids the boot, RAIN- NO, Oku ducks it! Okada ducks in return, spins Oku, but Oku SUPERKICKS first! Okada wobbles, Oku runs, but has to duck a lariat! Winner: Kazuchika Okada, by pinfall (still AEW Unified Champion)

Callis celebrates with The Rainmaker, and now both of Callis’ guys are in! Speaking of which, Konosuke Takeshita makes his way out here to point to Okada and nod. But the Rainmaker and Alpha are just two-thirds of this equation. Will they be joined by Mascara Dorada or The Beast Mortos? We’ll find out next Wednesday!

BREAKING NEWS for September to Remember!

The THREE-HOUR special edition of Dynamite is already stacked, but here’s a little more! Ahead of the 8 Woman Tornado Tag at Tailgate Brawl, Aminata and Thekla look to settle things 1v1! Will the Queen squash the Toxic Spider? Or will she end up caught in Thekla’s web? Then, before the Six Man Tag of Hurt Syndicate VS GOA, Bobby Lashley and Toa Liona go 1v1! Will the All Mighty have all the momentum? Or will the Samoan Lion bring him down to the depths?

Additionally, Cope & Christian are granted one last face-to-face with FTR before they truly go All Out. There is a No Physicality Rule in place, with heavy fines and maybe even suspension as the consequences. But will all of that be enough to convince these teams to keep the peace? Or will things get Rated R really quickly? Then last but not least, AEW will have a special “spotlight” video on TIMELESS Toni Storm before her Fatal 4 Way title defense. Will this be the last time Toni is our leading lady? Or will it simply highlight the punctuation of this newest chapter?

Jon Moxley & Daniel Garcia w/ Marina Shafir VS Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong!

The Maniac is a manipulator, but to think he could manipulate the Dragontamer into becoming a Death Rider. But will Moxley & Garcia be less of a dream team and more of a nightmare for the rest of AEW? Or can Paragon bring them down before they get started?

Collision returns and Paragon makes their entrance. The teams sort out and the fans chant “You Sold Out!” at Garcia. Garcia ignores that, and he starts against Kyle. They circle, feel things out, and tie up. Kyle waistlocks, Garcia drop toeholds, and Garcia grabs the foot. Kyle slips around to facelock, then he gets an arm to wrench. Garcia rolls, wrenches, hammerlocks, then snapmares. Kyle stands up in a huff and the fans applaud. The two reset, tie up again, and Kyle rolls to wrangle Garcia with a top wristlock. Garcia fights up, reaches out, but Kyle keeps him from ropes. Kyle wrangles Garcia, headscissors, and he holds on tight.

The fans oddly duel, “We Want Yuta!” “No We Don’t!” Kyle pushes up to put on the pressure but Garcia moves around. Garcia pops free, Kyle avoids the basement lariat, and the two back off. Kyle tags Roddy, Moxley gives Garcia some quick advice, and then Garcia circles with Roddy. They tie up, clinch, go around, and Roddy manages to get up and SLAM Garcia down! They CHOP and KICK on repeat! The ref counts, Paragon stops, and Garcia bails out!

But then Kyle & Roddy pursue! They CHOP and KICK Garcia against barriers! Moxley is mad and he runs up, only for Kyle to KNEE him down first! The fans fire up and Roddy puts Garcia in. Kyle gets moving to forearm SMASH in the corner! Roddy adds a LARIAT! Feed to Kyle’s suplex, CHOP and BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO, but into an ARMBAR! Garcia fights, Moxley is in, and Moxley stomps Kyle! The fans boo but then Roddy TOSSES Moxley! Roddy runs, but Marina saves Moxley from the dropkick! Then Moxley CLOBBERS Roddy! Kyle fires KNEES on Garcia, then he KICKS Garcia down!

Kyle sees Moxley on the apron, so he BOOTS Moxley down! But Garcia CHOP BLOCKS Kyle against the ropes! Garcia sees Kyle all hung up and writhing, it unsettles him a little. Moxley says keep going, and he drags Kyle to the corner. Moxley SLAMS the legs against the post again and again! Then Garcia takes over, HANGING FIGURE FOUR! But Roddy KICKS Garcia down! The ref reprimands, Roddy backs off, and Marina helps Garcia back up. Marina encourages Garcia to keep at it, and Garcia puts Kyle’s legs on the ropes. Garcia stands on Kyle’s leg while Collision goes picture in picture.

The ref counts, Garcia steps off at 4, and he drags Kyle over. Tag to Moxley and they stomp away on Kyle’s leg. Moxley paces, runs, and he stomps Kyle down. Moxley then steps through on the legs for a FIGURE FOUR! Kyle endures and Moxley eggs him on. Kyle SLAPS Moxley! And CHOPS! And even CLAWS Moxley’s eyes! The ref reprimands, Moxley lets go, but Moxley seems to respect Kyle fighting gritty like that. Tag to Garcia and they put the leg in the ropes. Garcia then runs to BOOT the leg! Roddy SICK KICKS Moxley down! The fans are thunderous as all four men are wiped out! Marina shouts for Moxley to get up, but the fans know “This is Awesome!” Moxley rises, Roddy fireman’s carries, but Moxley slips free!

Moxley THROWS Roddy down, BULLY CHOKE! Garcia intercepts Kyle, trips him, HEEL HOOK!! Kyle endures, and he uses his free leg to kick at Moxley! Moxley lets Roddy go, Roddy ghost pins, TWO!! Winners: Jon Moxley & Daniel Garcia, by submission

Menard is upset and gets off commentary to finally give Garcia a piece of his mind! Menard wants Garcia to say something, but he refuses. But then BREAKING NEWS from Tony Khan already: September to Remember now adds Jon Moxley VS Roderick Strong as a 1v1 match-up! Can the Savior of the Backbreaker break this Maniac? Or will nothing stop the Death Riders from tearing up the AEW roster?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here, and they really packed it full given there isn’t a Collision next week and the September to Remember edition of Dynamite is three hours, not four. Great opening promo from MJF and Briscoe, though framing the match type around the network, TNT, is silly. Basing the use of tacks off of MJF being a “prick,” however, works, so they should’ve just made this a thumbtacks match. The table element also makes me think it’ll be a bunk way of winning for MJF. But at the same time, MJF probably will need that win at All Out, because clearly Mistico is winning the CMLL World Light Heavyweight title to save his mask.

They’re just kinda throwing a tag title match onto All Out, and even then making it a Fatal 4 Way Ladder match is just so anything can happen and no one is hurt by the loss. Good promos from the various challenger teams, but I like that there was nothing from The Bucks. On one hand, it’s like a continuation of the disrespect to them. On the other, I believe they uploaded a new BTE where they are following through on Nick’s idea to gamble and double their money, so they’re too busy to do a promo. I haven’t watched the BTE video yet, but I have a feeling they’re going to return to work on Wednesday upset that they lost way too much of that 500K.

At the same time, I kinda thought they were gonna get that 500K confiscated to pay the winners of tonight’s 500K match. That was really good stuff, including the promo that helped hype up the match. Great win for the Heels but also great stuff with Aminata & Mina coming in ready to barbecue the Heels. The Tailgate Brawl match will be great stuff, and it’s still quite surprising that they’re putting part of the Zero Hour on cable TV. As for the Women’s title Fatal 4, who’s to say who wins because Toni stood tall tonight, but between Thekla VS Aminata and then the “Spotlight” on Toni, the math could flip to project Toni winning.

Great tag rematch from FTR VS Adam & Tommy, and I like that Adam and Tommy now have matching gear. But the first one was probably the better because it was all so fresh and surprising. FTR of course gets another win, and that face-to-face will be alright since FTR and C&C are good promo guys. And even with the “warning” of fines and suspensions, I bet Cope & Christian will agree to cover the fine together so they can at least hit Stokely with another spear. But if that were the case, then that’d put the math in FTR’s favor, so who knows. It still feels like the winner of this match can then position themselves for a tag title opportunity going towards WrestleDream.

Great stuff in blending the Big Bill VS Eddie Kingston story with the Max Caster story. Bill gets a great win off Caster to then have momentum going into this coming match with Eddie, and that’ll be a great return for Eddie just in general. Then in a rather interesting move, Jerry Lynn is being the catalyst for this Acclaimed reunion, not Billy Gunn or any other veteran. Though, The Swirl setting themselves up as the obvious first opponents for the reclaimed Acclaimed is a good choice, Blake & Lee are both really good in the ring and can bring out the best in Bowens and Caster, and can believably come away with a win while Bowens and Caster work out their differences.

Great matches tonight in this Unified Championship (glorified excuse for a) tournament. Konosuke was of course beating Bowens in that match, but it did help build the Acclaimed story. Oku’s fall against the barriers was a bit scary, I thought his arm was dislocated a la the Finn Balor barrier bomb spot, but he was miraculously alright. But even then, Okada was of course winning because now he and Konosuke will have no choice but to interact in that Triple Threat. Very good promo form Mascara Dorada, he and Mortos make for a toss-up but as I said before, the third man is there to take the loss to protect Okada and Konosuke.

And really good stuff in this Death Riders story that they also managed to tie other stuff into. The Conglomeration-Paragon promo was good, especially the tease that CLØN is drawing ever closer. Maybe if Hologram gets in on some kind of big match, either at All Out or for the Dynamite after All Out, we can get CLØN’s debut. The main event was a great tag match, but naturally Moxley & Garcia won. Garcia being conflicted on hurting Kyle was a good touch, and Garcia just shutting Menard out was some strong stuff. Them throwing that announcement of Mox VS Roddy at the very end was random, but actually kinda par for the course, TK/AEW is always doing stuff like that. It’ll be great stuff, but I also expect Darby to show up to put his mark on it as the go-home segment to the Coffin Match.

My Score: 9/10

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Cage took Knight to his limits, but The Jet is still standing as TNT Champion. But Knight can’t get over how last week, he couldn’t get the job done becoming #Jet2Belts. Bailey says forget last week. AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!

This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! “Mark Davis… I’m sure you feel some congratulations are in order. But you’re not champion to me. You see, you’re built like an Australia grizzly bear, yet you still needed somebody to hit me in the back with a golf club for you to beat me. At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!

“And if you don’t like that, F YOU!” Jungle Jack is sharpening his knife, but will his edge be razor sharp when it comes time to cut down Dunkzilla?

Ace has Ospreay down for a knuckle lock cover, ONE as Ospreay gets his arm up. Ace pushes it down, cover, ONE as Ospreay gets the other arm up. Ace tries again, ONE as Ospreay bridges! Ace TAPS, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by submission

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!

With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?

Then LARIATS him down! The fans boo but Davis refreshes the ring count.

Davis storms over to Jack while the fans rally up. Davis drags Jack up, brings him around, and CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” as that one echoes out. Davis snarls as he stares into the camera, then he drags Jack up. Davis puts Jack in the ring, rolls in after him, and stalks Jack to ropes. Davis CHOPS Jack into the crowd! Davis leaves Jack behind while the ring count climbs. Jack drags himself up while the fans cheer him on, and Jack gets help getting up and over the barriers. Jack survives again and the fans fire back up! Callis coaches Davis as he drags Jack up.

Davis brings Jack up in the corner with a gut wrench! The fans freak out for the SUPER- STEINER!! Jack turns things around on Davis just in time! The fans are thunderous but Callis rushes to ringside! The fans all boo Callis, but wait! RICOCHET slides into the ring! Still dressed in his golf course attire, he CRACKS Jack with his nine iron!! Ricochet hides, Davis deadlifts Jack, COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, DAVIS WINS!

Winner: Mark Davis, by pinfall (NEW AEW National Champion)

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.

He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Backstage interview with Don Callis, Mark Davis and Ricochet.

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis says he’s thrilled! Jack just gifted him his ultimate fantasy! A chance to beat up Jericho, The Bucks AND Kenny, all on one night? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

The teams sort out, Lena starts against Slay, and the clock is ticking! Slay DROPKICKS, but Lena doesn’t budge! Ley ENZIGIRIS, but Lena still doesn’t flinch! Ley & Slay double kick, but Lena blocks the double whip! Lena whips them, ELBOWS Slay and SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAMS Ley! Then she scoops Slay to SLAM her onto Ley! Lena drags Ley up, whips her to the corner, then runs up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Tag to Megan and the Divine Dominion run side to side! BOOT from Lena, BOOT from Megan! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! Ley tumbles, the fans cheer, and Megan tags Lena back in. Lena storms up on Ley to GERMAN SUPLEX again!

The fans cheer as Lena tags Megan back in. We’ve hit 90 seconds, but it feels like forever for Ley as Megan GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Megan kips up, then she stalks Ley. Megan eggs Ley on, slaps her around, then drags her up. Megan fireman’s carries, but Slay manages to tag in! Slay runs up, but Megan scoops her! FALL AWAY SLAM SAMOAN DROP COMBO! They’ve made it two minutes but that might be all! Tag to Lena, she and Megan get Slay up, DIVINE INTERVENTION! Cover, Divine Dominion wins!

Winners: The Divine Dominion, by pinfall (denies Slay & Ley a title opportunity)

Two minutes and 15 seconds is all Slay & Ley got, will any team last even that long? Or will the Divine Dominion continue to dominate AEW until the end of time?

BREAKING NEWS for Double or Nothing!

The Triangle of Madness may have misted Persephone and injured Alex Windsor, but that only heaps on more trouble for the champion! Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?

Don Callis speaks, again.

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.

“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.

Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!

This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!

Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs  that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall

A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!

Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!

Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.

Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!

Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!

Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!

The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!

The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!

The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!

AEW medical staff is already checking Darby as he’s down in the wreckage, but Pac says screw that! He fireman’s carries Darby and puts him back in the ring! Pac covers, TWO!!! Darby survives and the fans are thunderous! Pac and The Death Riders are in shock! Pac falls back to a corner as he shakes his head. Pac argues with the ref, but 2.99 still isn’t 3! The fans rally for Darby, but Pac storms over to him. Pac looms over Darby, Yuta slides a chair into the ring, but the ref snatches it away! Only for Marina to slide the title belt in! Pac takes aim while Darby rises, but then Darby springs to life! Pac has seen a ghost, or maybe a zombie!

Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.

I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.

Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.

Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
