The NXT Champion teams with the NXT North American Champion not because they want to, but because they have to in order to thwart two men trying to build names at their expense. Will the top champions of NXT stand tall together? Or will the human tank and Mr. Showtime show us it’s their time now?

The teams sort out and Myles starts against Kam. The fans chant for Rook, “He’s Big, He’s Bad, He’ll Body Slam Your Dad!” while Kam and Myles feel things out. They tie up, and Kam powers Myles to a corner. Kam KNEES low, then stalks Myles. Kam whips to RUN Myles over, then says he runs this! Kam shoves Myles to a corner, but Myles ELBOWS him away! Myles runs but Kam scoops Myles to POWERSLAM! Cover, ONE! Kam stomps Myles, says this is his show now, then he brings Myles up. Myles fires body shots but Kam CLUBS him down. Kam reels Myles in, but Myles fights the suplex. Kam CLUBS Myles, suplexes, but Myles lands out!

Myles shoves Kam, ducks ‘n’ dodges, hurdles over, and DROPKICKS! The fans fire up, Kam comes back, but Myles SNAP POWERSLAMS! Cover, TWO! Myles brings Kam up, tags Tony, and they double whip to then hit the takeover! Tony lets Kam up to short arm LARIAT him down! Kam flounders away, and we see Tavion Heights watching this match. Tavion has wanted his own opportunities, but will taking notes here help him with that? The fans cheer as Mason tags in! The fans fire up as Mason steps to Tony, talks some trash, then throws a forearm! Tony fires back, they go back and forth with haymakers!

Tony fires a flurry, then JUMP PUNCHES! Mason CHOPS in return! Mason fireman’s carries, Tony slips free, shoves, and RAMS Mason! Mason rebounds to RUN Tony over! Mason puts Tony in a corner, SPLASHES, then whips corner to corner to SPLASH and short arm LARIAT! Then SENTON! Cover, TWO! Tony survives all that weight falling on him and the fans fire up. Mason whips Tony to a corner, runs up, but Tony dodges! Tony LARIATS! Tony runs, and LARIATS again! Tony then reels Mason in, but Mason’s too big to Fogedaboutit! Mason wrenches free, fireman’s carries, but Tony fights free this time.

Tony waistlocks but Mason fights the German Suplex! Mason clinches, but Tony ROCKS Mason! And JUMP PUNCHES! Tag to Myles, and they work together to double whip and DOUBLE BACK SUPLEX! The fans fire up but here comes Kam! The champs TOSS Kam up and out, and the fans fire up with them while NXT goes picture in picture.

Tony backs down, Mason storms in and steps to Myles. Mason kicks low, CHOPS Myles down, then  he drags Myles up to bring him over. Mason bumps Myles off buckles, tags Kam, and they mug Myles with fast hands like Myles is a heavy bag. Kam talks trash, ROCKS Myles, but Myles snarls. Kam brings Myles around to bump off buckles, then he looms over Myles while taking trash. Kam pushes Myles, Myles kicks and fires haymakers in return! Myles whips Kam hard into the corner! Kam falls, writhes, but Myles is on him. Myles tags Tony, they double whip Kam for DOUBLE ELBOWS! Tony covers, TWO!

Tony keeps Kam from Mason, bumps him off buckles, then drags him back to his feet. Tony brings Kam to the corner, but Kam throat chops Tony! Kam then CLUBS Tony, pushes him to the corner, and LARIATS! Kam runs up again, another LARIAT! Tag to Mason and Mason CHOPS Tony! Mason scoops Tony to then carry him around, and SLAM Tony! Cover, TWO! Tony toughs it out but Mason kicks him around. Mason drags Tony up, CHOPS him, and CHOPS again! Tony eggs Mason on so the CHOPS keep going! Tony fires haymakers on Mason, then tags Myles. They reel Mason in, but he’s too big for a double suplex!

Mason powers up to DOUBLE SUPLEX Tony and Myles! Mason covers Myles, TWO! Mason clamps onto Myles, thrashes him around, but Myles endures as NXT returns to single picture. Myles fights up, fires body shots, and ROCKS Mason with a right! But Mason scoops again! Myles slips free, shoves Mason to the corner, and Tony avoids a sucker punch! The ref stops Tony from storm in, and Myles scoops Mason! But Kam CHOP BLOCKS Myles down! The fans boo but Mason scoops and SLAMS Myles! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Mason tags Kam. They double whip Myles, DOUBLE ELBOW him down, then Mason SPLASHES! Kam covers, ONE!!

The fans rally as Myles survives, but Kam stomps him around. Kam stalks Myles to the ropes, brings him up, and wrenches for a short arm LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Kam brings him up. Myles fires body shots, haymakers, then leaps, but Kam catches him! Kam throws Myles back, and BOOTS him down! The fans boo but Kam snarls as he looms over Myles. Kam drags Myles up, suplexes, and then BROKEN ARROW! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Kam brings him away to tag Mason. They mug Myles more, then Mason drags Myles up. Mason whips Myles to the corner, runs up, but Myles BOOTS back!

Mason tries again, he SPLASHES Myles, then he whips for the scoop, BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Myles survives the extra spins Mason put on that one, but Mason tags Kam. The fans rally for Myles as Mason & Kam reel him in, DOUBLE SUPLEX, but Myles lands out! Myles ELBOWS Mason, dodges Kam, then drop toeholds Mason into buckles! Hot tag to Tony D! Tony dodges Kam to SPEAR Mason! Then he GERMAN SUPLEXES Kam! And GERMAN SUPLEX again! The fans fire up for Tony as he whips and SPINEBUSTERS Kam! Tony roars, runs, then ducks ‘n’ dodge to SPEAR! Cover, MASON SENTONS IT APART!

The fans fire up, but Mason almost crushes his teammate while saving him! Mason drags Kam over to the corner, Tony crawls towards his, Mason tags in while Tony hot tags Myles! Myles JUMP KNEES Mason, but Kam DROPKICKS Myles! Tony gets Kam for a POWERBOMB! Tony LARITS Mason and himself out of the ring! Mason is right back up, though, and he scoops! Tony slips free, shoves Mason, then runs up, but is sent into the steel steps! Myles BOOTS Mason, Kam runs up! Myles TOSSES Kam, then FLIES to take out Mason! The fans fire up as Myles got #AirBorne, then he puts Mason in the ring!

The fans cheer “NXT! NXT!” while Myles goes to the apron. Kam is sneaking up behind, but then TAVION CLOBBERS KAM! And Kam knocks into Myles! Tavion apologizes, he didn’t mean to mess Myles up! But too late, Mason catches Myles! BACKPACK CANNONBALL!! Myles writhes but Mason hauls him up! Kam tags back in before the DEATH VALLEY BOMB!! Kam snipes the cover, Kam & Mason win!

Mason did the heavy lifting quite literally, but Kam gets the credit for pinning the North American Champion! But will both these men be poised to take the titles for their own?

Osiris Griffin reminds everyone that they beat The Hardy Boys, the bouncy boys, and even the belly boys! Now tonight, they get the chance to become THREE-TIME NXT Tag Team Champions! Are Dion & Saquon ready? Cutler James says he knows they are, this is the first time they haven’t heard these two arguing in over a month. Dion says they’ve put that behind them. They’ve been training, grinding, putting in the work all week. They about to make history tonight! But Dion wants to ask them this, though. Last week, Osiris said if they don’t get this done, DarkState’s gonna make a change. What did he mean by that?

Before Osiris can explain, Saquon says not to worry about that, that don’t matter. The only thing that matters is they get back to doing what they do, and that is walking down everybody on this roster, striking fear in their hearts! Saquon knows they’ve been having problems and whatever, but at the end of the day, it’s all love. Dion has Saquon, Saquon has Dion, so there’s only one thing left to do and that’s get what’s theirs! When DarkState strikes, ain’t nobody safe! The fearsome four are ready to get back on top, but will they swipe right on this match? Or will Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes still be golden?

The fans are torn seeing The Standout make her way out to the ring. She has them cut her music so she can speak. “Can somebody tell me what a girl has to do around here? I walked through those Performance Center doors, and in nine months, I was the main player on NXT. Which makes me the fastest homegrown talent in all of WWE! Last week, I beat Kendal Grey, mind you, someone that you guys think should already be in the Hall of Fame… So I’m gonna tell it like it is. I’m better than all those women they called up to Raw and SmackDown! I’m better than Fatal Influence, I’m better than Blake Monroe, I’m better than Sol Ruca!

“I’m better than any woman sitting in the back listening right now! I am. I am the only woman to make Lola Vice tap out. Not just pin her, not catch her on a bad night, but I made our current NXT Women’s Champion tap out! That alone should’ve put me at the front of the line a long time ago. But the crazy thing is, watch this, I’ve never even gotten a chance to go for the NXT Women’s Championship. NEVER! Not ever, not once, never! Instead, I’ve had to sit back and watch all these women who aren’t half as athletic, half as gifted, half as complete as I am, fumble opportunities left and right. People love to call words like ‘potential’ when it comes to me.

“But potential is for the girls who are still trying to figure it out, and I’ve already done that!” The fans are still torn, but Lani says she has already done it! So it is HER time to get a chance at the NXT Women’s Championship! Because she’ll tell you, everyone is getting way too comfortable overlooking her. That’s the easy way out, because it’s easier than realizing that The Standout is the most underrated woman in the NXT locker room! But then here comes Izzi Dame! Lani says she wasn’t done, but Izzi asks her, “Are you seriously trying to jump in line again? Did you forget that I’m the one that actually pinned Lola?

“Oh, and then, right here, I’m the one who booted her head off.” Izzi walks up the steel steps and says if anyone gets a shot at the title, it’s HER. So, Lani should do what she does best, and get her ass to the back of the line! Lani laughs sarcastically at Izzi, but then here comes Lola! And she tells them both, “Stop wasting everyone’s time. Yeah, you both have wins, but I won when it mattered, which is why I’m the NXT Women’s Champion.” The fans cheer as Lola goes to the ring. Lola tells Lani that she talks a lot. Lani wants this belt, but she couldn’t handle these hands, now could she? Izzi adds on a “Womp womp~!”

But then Lola tells Izzi that she is such a pain, that’s why Lola will start with her. Last week, Izzi hit Lola in the back and thought she was gonna get away with it? Lola said she was gonna be a fighting champion, so she’ll give Izzi her fifteen seconds of fame. Next week, Lola VS Izzi, for the NXT Women’s Championship! The fans cheer, Izzi already claims #AndNew, while Lani says of course Lola would put the title on the line against Izzi. Lola says don’t you worry, Lani, because once she’s done with Izzi, Lani’s next. But then Kendal Grey makes her way out to say, “Hold on, hold on, hold on. Lola, my eyes are still on the NXT Women’s Championship… But you, Kelani-”

Lani has Kendal stop right there. Lani already beat Kendal and she already knows what Kendal will say. So what? It’ll be Izzi, then Kendal, then Lani? No, Lani doesn’t think so. Kendal doesn’t think so, either! She doesn’t think Lani will even get close to the NXT Women’s Championship, because she’s got bigger issues. WREN SINCLAIR slides in from the crowd side, and CRACKS Lani with her crutch! Lola URAKENS Izzi! WrenQCC chases Izzi & Lani out of the ring to stand with the champ, but will Lola still be the champion after turning up the heat?

Dorian Van Dux finds Sean Legacy backstage.

The Muscles From Brussels is so fired up, he speaks in French, and says in English that he can’t believe they were so close last week! Sean agrees, but that was until Tate Wilder got overzealous. But Sean gets it, adrenaline was pumping, it’s hard to pump the brakes. DVD says yeah, Sean is too good to let that one loss get him down. Sean will get the next one. Sean says maybe change that tune considering who Sean’s next match is against. Who’s it against? Well, Robert Stone told Sean that DVD’s next match is in the Speed Tournament… against Sean. Oh, wow! Well, then Sean is too good to let two losses get him down.

Oh, okay, but things have changed since last time they were 1v1. And apparently the only thing DVD lost was his T-shirts. Sean then spots Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno and says hey. Good luck on your NXT in-ring debut, Romeo! Romeo thanks Sean for that, and El Freestyle continues to gorilla, Scottish Supernova by his side. Dar says don’t be nervous, you’ll do amazing. Maybe even better than Dar did last week. Romeo says hey, if not for Myka Lockwood, Dar would’ve beat Drake. Dar isn’t so sure, he’s been out of the game for so long, he’s just trying to play catch-up. Romeo says no, Dar, every time he watches you, he learns so much.

And honestly, Dar being ringside for this match against Tristan Angels would help a lot. Dar says sure, he’ll be the cornerman. Vaminos! Romeo & Dar continue to gorilla, but will there be a masterpiece painted on the canvas? Or will Mr. England make sure he’s the best looking thing out in that ring?

NXT shares Natalya’s interview from Busted Open Radio.

The Queen of Harts says she wants to see Jaida Parker bring it, to try and knock Nattie on her ass. Jaida interrupting Nattie during an interview for LFG shows Jaida is just in her own head, in her own way. The women of NXT and Evolve are watching in the locker room, and Layla Diggs says Nattie’s right about that. But then Jaida walks in and says they don’t need to be quiet around her. She’s flattered, even. But where is Nattie? She needs to talk to her. Well, she’s obviously not in here. Jaida complains about everyone running their mouths, but doesn’t Jaida do it, too? Jaida tells Layla she used to like her before she opened her mouth.

But the difference between Jaida and Nattie is Jaida at least does it to your face with no shame. Nattie’s doing it behind mics and on talk shows. Nattie calls Jaida soft but she’s the one showing up on NXT throwing rocks. Is that what Layla looks up to? Yes, but that’s because Nattie has earned all that. Nattie can talk to anyone anyway she pleases, but all Jaida’s done is loss a couple times and suddenly the world is against her. Layla knows what she does not want to be in NXT. Jaida says she appreciates Layla keeping count for her, but how about she does this for Layla? Next week, Jaida will give Layla an opportunity on NXT so Jaida can drag her ass up and down.

Layla says she ain’t scared. Masyn Holiday steps in, as does Thea Hail and Karmen Petrovic. Things are only getting more intense in the Women’s Division, will Miss Parker prove to everyone that she don’t play?

Tristan Angels VS Romeo Moreno w/ Noam Dar!

Mr. England prides himself on his good looks, but also in his ability. Will he prove he has at least one of those here tonight? Or will his style not match up with El Freestyle after all?

The bell rings, Romeo rolls, then he circles with Tristan. They tie up, Tristan goes for an arm but Romeo knuckle locks. Tristan steps over, wrenches, spins through, then trips Romeo up. Tristan drops onto Romeo for a headlock but Romeo slips out the back to waistlock. Tristan fights up, Romeo throws him back down, and repeat. Tristan goes to the ropes, the ref counts, but then Tristan SLAPS Romeo! The fans boo as Tristan headlocks. Romeo powers up and out but Tristan RUNS him over! Tristan talks trash, but Romeo SLAPS back! The fans cheer as Romeo then slides under to dodge, kicks off the ropes, and RANAS Tristan onto the ropes!

Tristan comes back, Romeo hurdles then trips Tristan, and DROPKICKS him away! The fans fire up while Tristan scrambles to a corner. Romeo whips but Tristan reverses, only for Romeo to ELBOW him away. Tristan comes back, blocks boots, then he puts Romeo in the ropes! Tristan ROCKS Romeo, then WOE STOMPS! Then a suplex high and hard! Cover, TWO! Romeo toughs it out but Tristan KNEES him in the side! Tristan stalks Romeo to a corner, UPPERCUTS, then whips him to the corner. Tristan scoops Romeo for the BACKBREAKER! Romeo writhes but the fans rally up behind him, and… Is that Shiloh Hill in the crowd?

Yes, Shiloh is in the crowd, wearing a top hat that has flame pattern on it, and he’s wearing a vest and white gloves, and holds up the sign, “Mr. NXT.” He shakes the hands of the people while Tristan CLUBS Romeo. Tristan spots Shiloh and asks what in the world Shiloh is doing. Shiloh gives his best golf clap while Tristan goes back to Romeo. Romeo dodges a lariat, but Tristan counters the hip toss, only for Romeo to counter the counter! Romeo TOSSES Tristan up and out! The fans cheer as Romeo builds speed, and he goes up, up, ESCALARA! The fans fire up for that direct hit, and Romeo hurries to put Tristan back in!

Romeo shakes hands with Mr. NXT and the fans cheer while NXT goes to break.

NXT returns as Romeo SLAPS Tristan! Tristan scowls, storms up on Romeo, and blocks a kick! Tristan throws it back but Romeo rebounds to ROUNDHOUSE! Romeo then runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and LARIATS! And LARIATS again! The fans fire up as Romeo RAMS Tristan in the corner! Then he rolls back to GAMANGIRI! Romeo shoves Tristan away, springboards, MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! The fans rally behind Romeo as he aims from a corner, and he goes up the corner. But Tristan steps up to ENZIGIRI! Then BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up while Tristan grows frustrated. Tristan tastes blood in his mouth and that upsets him.

Tristan runs up, Romeo dodges, but Tristan BOOTS him! Tristan goes up, but Romeo jumps up, RISING HEADBUTT! Romeo goes up, up, and FLYING DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO!! Tristan survives, bails out, and “This is Awesome!” as Romeo goes to the apron. Romeo winds up, PENALTY- NO, Tristan blocks and YANKS Romeo down! Tristan puts Romeo back in, then fires up, KNEE DROP on the back of the neck! Cover, Tristan wins!

Romeo might be getting flashbacks to the first time these two fought on Evolve, because that was exactly how it ended there, too! Tristan grabs a mic to tell Shiloh, ‘I hope you enjoyed the view from out there in the crowd, because that is exactly where you belong: With all these plebs!” The fans chant, “You Suck!” but Shiloh has a mic to say, “Well good day, Mr. England. You said I could never outclass you, but look at me now!” The fans cheer that! Tristan says Shiloh is the definition of a disgrace! Shiloh says, “Good heavens” But he begs to differ. That is why he has officially started his campaign to crown himself the inaugural Mr. NXT!

The fans cheer that idea, and Shiloh says let’s start by asking the crowd. Do they wanna see Shiloh as Mr. NXT? The fans cheer that they do! Or… Do they wanna see Tristan? Shiloh shares photos of Tristan and Tristan asks how Shiloh got those! The fans boo the picture, Shiloh says that top hat of Tristan’s sucks! Give it up one more time for Shiloh! The fans cheer, and Shiloh says one more time for this “bumbling buffoon!” The fans boo Tristan and he says, “Order, order, order! Unfortunately for you and all these people, neither of your opinions are valid. You are incomparable, it is impossible for you to understand real beauty.

“And mark my words, Shiloh Hill, you will pay dearly for attempting to ruin my perfect in-ring debut!” The fans boo more but Shiloh laughs while looking through opera glasses. Will NXT choose #ToothlessAggression over arrogance every day of the week?

Lola Vice finds Tatum Paxley backstage.

Champion checks in with champion, and Lola says dealing with Izzi Dame, how did Tatum do it that long? Lola can’t wait to knock that ass out next week. Tatum agrees, she can’t wait to see it. But they each have challengers lining up, left and right, up and down. Speaking of champions, Myles and Tony walk in, and Myles says he did NOT want Tavion coming out there like that. Tony says he doesn’t care, he doesn’t like Tavion, he never has. But Tavion is Myles’ guy, so Myles needs to keep him out of the way. Myles says he’ll take care of it. Tony & Myles then look to Lola & Tatum, and Tony says the targets on their backs just keeps getting bigger, huh?

Lola says yeah, but no one’s taking her title. Myles and Tony agree there. Tatum says she’s about to go defend hers. Lola and the others wish her luck, and the champions part ways. And then Naraku can be heard laughing as he enters. The King of Darkness tells Tony, “Evil will strike when you least expect it.” Naraku then leaves, but when and where will Darkness Fall on Tony D?

The Culling meets backstage.

Niko Vance asks Shawn Spears if he saw what happened to Izzi, and he says no, he was getting something else done. He got them a tag match with OTM for next week. They’ve been waiting for this. But that’s the same night as Izzi has her title match with Lola! Yes, but did Niko see the OTM interview? For the first time, OTM is vulnerable. They showed their weaknesses, and you know what The Culling does with weakness. But Izzi asks what they’re doing. Did they not see what Lola did to her? Niko says he did. Spears explains he and Niko have a tag match with OTM next week. Is Izzi okay? N-Next week? The same night as Izzi has her match with Lola?

That’s what Niko was saying! Okay, okay, let’s all take a deep breath. They can kill two birds with one stone. The Culling gets back on track towards the tag titles with a victory, and more importantly, we’ll crown a NEW NXT Women’s Champion. This could be a massive night for them, okay? Everyone agrees, and Spears says they’ve got this. Spears heads out and Izzi asks Niko what the hell! But is Izzi forgetting that The Culling is a collective and not just Izzi’s back-up?

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Tatum Paxley VS Lizzy Rain!

Just as #TuesdayAddams said, she’s about to defend her title against a young and hungry contender. But will Tatum be able to tune out the heavy metal and hold onto her championship? Or is Lizzy about to make it reign already?

NXT returns as Tatum makes her entrance. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who really knows how to rock!

The bell rings and the fans fire up as the two tie up. Tatum arm-drags Lizzy, then circles with her. They tie up again, Tatum wrenches an arm, but Lizzy rolls, kips up, and arm-drags Tatum! The fans cheer as the two reset again, and they shake hands to show respect. The two tie up, Lizzy headlocks for a takeover, but Tatum fights around to then get the headlock herself. Lizzy fights around, powers Tatum to a headscissors, but Tatum slips free to then float back to the headlock. The fans rally, Lizzy fights to her feet, and she wrenches free to go for a double wristlock. The fans rally for Tatum but Lizzy throws her down for a cover, ONE!

Lizzy cording holds, but Tatum fights up. Lizzy wrenches, wristlocks, but Tatum slips through to THROW Lizzy over! The fans cheer “Both These Women!” while Lizzy kips up. Tatum wrangles Lizzy and has the short arm scissor, but Lizzy stacks. TWO, and Lizzy avoids a sweep! Lizzy headlocks, Tatum rolls to a cover, ONE! The fans cheer the exchange, and the two go again. Lizzy waistlocks, Tatum switches, repeat, until Lizzy reaches down to trip Tatum. Tatum kicks Lizzy away, kips up, but Lizzy cartwheels to dodge. The fans cheer as Lizzy headlocks, Tatum powers up and out, then Tatum drops. Tatum then runs the other way!

The fans cheer as the two run rope drills with the crisscross, but then Tatum stops herself to hurdle over Lizzy! Lizzy blocks hip toss, body shots, and FLOPS to RANA, but Tatum handsprings through! Tatum DROPKICKS Lizzy down and the fans fire up! Tatum builds speed to WRECK- NO, Lizzy blocks the kick! Lizzy YANKS Tatum out, then builds speed to WRECK Tatum with the dropkick! The fans fire up with the Maiden of Metal, and she gives a glance to the gold while NXT goes picture in picture.

Lizzy drags Tatum up, puts her in the ring, then storms in to go after an arm. Lizzy cording holds but Tatum endures. Tatum fights around, Lizzy wrenches, and Lizzy wrangles Tatum down. Tatum fights up, but Lizzy wrenches to RAM Tatum’s shoulder! Tatum falls back but hurries to a corner. Lizzy runs up but Tatum dodges! The fans fire up, and we see Kali Armstrong watching backstage. The fans cheer “NXT! NXT!” for making this match happen. Tatum crawls to ropes to drag herself up, and the fans duel as both women rise. Tatum and Lizzy run up, and Tatum ROCKS Lizzy! Lizzy ROCKS Tatum! Tatum ROCKS Lizzy again! Lizzy ROCKS Tatum again!

The fans rally as the forearms go back and forth, harder and harder, faster and faster! Lizzy CHOPS, Tatum CHOPS, repeat! Tatum fires another forearm, Lizzy wobbles, and they both ROCK each other! Then they DOUBLE LARIAT! Tatum and Lizzy drop back again and the fans fire back up! Lizzy and Tatum run up, Tatum dodges to mule kick! Lizzy kicks but Tatum ducks it, only for the ROUNDHOUSE to find her! But Tatum ROUNDHOUSES, kicks low, then FRONT KICKS, only for Lizzy to ENZIGIRI! Lizzy fireman’s carries Tatum for the RUNNING NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Tatum survives and bails out of the ring, but Lizzy builds speed! Lizzy WRECK- NO, Tatum ENZIGIRIS Lizzy first! Heavy metal may never die, but Lizzy could not stay alive in the match! Tatum shows her respect and the fans cheer again. But wait, DOUBLE SPEAR from Zaria!! The Agent of Change hoists Lizzy up, F5!! Then Zaria has Tatum up for an F5!! The fans boo but Zaria grabs the belt. Will the landscape of NXT change the moment Zaria gets her shot at this title?

Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair regroup backstage.

They feel great after they got the drop on Kelani. But seriously, this is what happens when you mess with the #WrenQCC. Wren still feels bad about last week. She said the last thing she wanted was to be a distraction for Kendal, and that’s exactly what happened! Kendal would’ve won if not for Wren. Kendal says she’s said it before, she’ll say it again, Wren is not a distraction, she’s Kendal’s best friend. Aw~! Robert Stone walks in and says while he’s glad to see Wren is walking around better than last week, he cannot ignore her hitting people with crutches. Wren says Lani deserved it!

But… if Stone doesn’t want Wren playing whack-a-mole with her crutches, then put her in the ring with Lani next week. That’s not a bad idea, but that’s not happening until Wren is cleared. Wren says she’ll be cleared next week. Kendal says she doesn’t want Wren rushing into anything, but Wren says she’s the WWE Women’s Speed Champion, she can recover quickly. And also, she really wants this. Stone says if Wren gets cleared, she’ll get the match. Wren thanks Stone, Kendal says if that’s the case, they can start training tonight! And tomorrow, and the next night! WrenQCC is ready to fight, but will they be able to stand tall against The Standout?

Tate Wilder VS Keanu Carver!

As Sean Legacy said earlier, the Modern Day Cowboy maybe got a little too ornery trying to make an impact last week. But has he really stepped into it wanting to give the One Man Demolition Crew something to break? Or can Tate just get back on the horse and wrangle up a win?

NXT returns as Tate makes his entrance. The bell rings, Tate dodges Keanu, then eggs him on. Tate dodges again, but Keanu grabs Tate to THROW him out! Tate lands safe on the apron, RAMS into Keanu, then slingshots to sunset flip! Keanu stays up, YANKS Tate up, and he HEADBUTTS away on Tate! The fans rally as Keanu whips Tate corner to corner. Tate goes up and over, keeps moving, but Keanu BACKDROPS! Tate just manages to land safe from that, then kicks, but Keanu blocks! Tate ENZIGIRIS through, then runs up, but into a SLEEPER! Keanu squeezes tight, but Tate reaches back and brings Keanu along to the ropes!

Tate THROWS Keanu up and over, then hurries to go up, up, and ASAI MOONSAULT! Down goes Keanu and the fans fire up! Tate is feeling it, and he decides to go up the corner! But Keanu box jumps to the apron and POSTS Tate first! Tate sputters but Keanu CLUBS away on him! The ref counts, Keanu stops at 4, and he snarls as he drags Tate up. Keanu suplexes for a BROKEN ARROW! Tate flounders but Keanu pushes him around. Tate fires body shots, but Keanu ROCKS Tate. Keanu pushes Tate to the ropes, CHOKES him, but the ref counts. Keanu HAMMERS away on Tate, then stops to bring him up with a waistlock. GERMAN SUPLEX!

Tate flounders away and Keanu snarls. Keanu storms over to Tate, pushes him around, then pie faces him. Tate fires body shots, but Keanu ROCKS him with a forearm! Tate has a bloody eyebrow but Keanu whips him corner to corner! Keanu RAMS into Tate at the corner, whips him back into the corner, then UPPERCUTS! Keanu stalks Tate, then reels him in for a short arm LARIAT! Keanu is toying with Tate as he pushes him around again. Tate gets fired up and he fires body shots! Tate fires more hands but Keanu knees low! Keanu whips Tate to the corner, then storms up, but Tate ELBOWS him away! Tate goes up the corner, leaps, and MISSILE DROPKICKS!

The fans fire up with Tate, he runs to kick, UPPERCUT, and UPPERCUT! Keanu shoves Tate, but Tate SLINGBLADES! The fans fire up as Tate DECKS Keanu! And DECKS him! And then ducks ‘n’ dodges to SHOULDER TACKLE! The fans fire up as Tate whips, but Keanu reverses! Keanu runs up, but Tate dodges! Keanu POSTS himself! Tate hurries to LARIAT Keanu up and out! Tate then goes up the steps, and TORNADO DDTS to the floor! The fans fire up as Tate hurries to put Keanu in! Tate climbs the corner, aims again, FROG SPLASH! But he doesn’t cover?! Tate wants to get wilder, but Keanu trips him up on the corner!

Keanu runs to POUNCE! PERIOD! Keanu isn’t done, he hauls Tate up to CARVE HIM UP! Cover, Keanu wins!

Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes are both worried about facing DarkState, but Jackson Drake says no reason to bug out. Last week was rough, but it doesn’t matter what combination it is, Swipe Right is the most solid tag team in all of NXT today. And tonight, they’ll prove it again. Brad says at least if they beat Dion & Saquon, they’ll never have to worry about DarkState again. Smokes says those other two guys will be outside the ring, and they wouldn’t have given up their title rematch if they didn’t have a plan! They’re scheming something! Obviously, dude! There’s four of them! But then Myka steps in, and she says she’s got them.

W-Wait, Myka, there’s two- Myka puts her hand up to stop Drake, and says she knows. Osiris and Cutler. She’s got ’em. Smokes loves it! Brad says Myka is so clutch! V’s up! Vanity Project is confident because they’ve got the muscle to back it up, but will that really be enough? Or is not even Mighty Myka safe when DarkState strikes?

Bronco Nima & Lucien Price know about their match with The Culling, and they’re feeling good about getting a W. Shiloh Hill then walks over and says hello. He hopes they’ll sign his petition to name him the first-ever Mr. NXT. Nima says if Shiloh’s bold enough to ask, then he’s bold enough to support it. Price agrees, and Nima admires the pocket watch. Shiloh wishes them luck against Culling, and is excited he’s got 14 signatures already! Then Shiloh encounters Birthright and asks if any of them would sign his petition to be Mr. NXT. Arianna Grace says, “Excuse me? As the reigning Miss NXT, I can tell you with authority, you are NOT pageant material.”

Stacks agrees, but Uriah is worried he and Shiloh are matching. Shiloh says he’s not taking fashion advice from someone wearing what she’s wearing. Stacks says take your petition and shove it! Dempsey says hold on, calm down. He asks Shiloh what this is even about. Every week, Shiloh just embarrasses himself and this entire business. This business that some of them were actually born to represent. So how about this? Next week, Dempsey VS Shiloh, and Dempsey will show Shiloh what a proper wrestler looks like. Birthright heads out, Uriah says Shiloh’s gonna get stretched. But Shiloh just laughs like the madman he truly is. Will nothing stop Shiloh from becoming Mr. NXT?

Meanwhile, we see Myles arguing with Tavion, and then Tavion storms off! Myles hurries after, is there no changing the trajectory their friendship is on?

In-ring interview with Kam Hendrix.

Sarah Schreiber is with Mr. Showtime to say that was an impressive tag team win tonight. Kam & Mason took down the NXT Champion, Tony D’Angelo, and pinned the North American Champion, Myles Borne. Now, does Kam think this lines him up for a title match in the near future? Kam says first of all, that match was hella impressive. Who can say that in their first NXT match, they beat not just one but two champions? Match one and Kam’s already in the record books! Now, everyone can see quickly why he is Showtime! And he could go for the North American title like Sarah said, but Kam is in NXT to be the number one superstar.

And the best way to become number one is by winning the big one. So Tony D, Kam caught you slacking before, and that NXT Championship is looking primed and ready for Lights, Kam, Action! But then Mason Rook makes his way back out here! Kam wants a high-five from his teammate, but Mason has a mic to tell Kam, “Hold up, hold up. Kam, you’re out here acting like our win tonight was all you. These people have eyes! They saw that you took the win from me. Hell, without me, you wouldn’t even be out here right now calling your shot, let alone calling your shot at a champion. So what I’m gonna do, I gonna give you a favor, yeah?

“I’m gonna give you a favor, gonna give you a chance. A chance to give credit to the man who’s big, who’s bad-” Kam stops Mason there and says he doesn’t know what to tell him. No one’s even gonna remember Mason was in that match. Just that Kam beat the champs. Get with it or get lost, it’s every man for himself, big boy! Kam laughs at his own jokes, but Mason smiles and says, “Yeah, you’re right.” LARIAT! Then a fireman’s carry, and the BACKPACK CANNONBALL!! Mason wrecks Kam, because he is that big and bad! Will not even Kam’s big ego get in the way of this tank on the warpath?

NXT Tag Team Championships: Swipe Right w/ Jackson Drake & Myka Lockwood VS Dion Lennox & Saquon Shugars w/ DarkState!

Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes snatched these titles away from DarkState, but mostly because Tony D’Angelo made sure it happened. But now that Tony has moved on and is handling his own championship business, will Swipe Right be lucky to survive? Or will Dion & Saquon get back to basics as DarkState looks to take over NXT?

NXT returns as The Vanity Project makes their entrance, Drake rising on Myka’s shoulders. The introductions are made, but Dion & Saquon attack already! They beat up on Swipe Right at the ramp, then FLAPJACK Smokes off barriers! Dion has Brad in the ring as the bell rings, and the fans cheer “DAAARK~ STAAATE~!” as Dion throws hands. Dion ROCKS Brad, ROCKS him again, then stalks him. Brad BODY SHOTS, but Dion headlocks. Smokes tags in as Brad powers up and out, then Brad drops down so Smokes can slingshot SPEAR! Cover, TWO! Smokes is upset already, and he stomps Dion down!

Smokes tags Brad, they drag Dion up, and they double whip, only for Dion to crisscross them into each other! Dion scoops and SLAMS Brad, tags Saquon, and they shove Brad into buckles, to then DOUBLE ELBOW him down! Saquon covers, ONE, but Saquon clamps onto Brad. Tag to Dion, Saquno feeds Brad to a BIG shoulder tackle! Cover, ONE!! Brad toughs it out but Dion clamps onto him. Tag back to Saquon, they double whip to- Well, Saquon DROPKICKS Brad, but Dion thought they were going to clothesline. They’re still dysfunctional, but the arguing lets Brad get up. Saquon dodges, Dion ROCKS Brad, and Saquon HIP TOSSES Brad down.

Saquon clamps on with an armlock but Brad endures. Brad scoops, but Saquon cranks the hold! Brad THROWS Saquon down by his hair! The ref reprimands, but Brad tags Smokes. Smokes runs up, but Saquon avoids the elbow drop! Saquon HIP TOSSES Smokes down, then has him in the corner. Saquon RAMS Smokes, tags Dion, and Dion RAMS Smokes! Then Saquon DROPKICKS! The fans fire up while Dion covers, TWO! Dion drags Smokes up, bumps him off buckles, then tags Saquon. They mug Smokes, and Saquon taunts Brad. Saquon stands Smokes up but Smokes throat chops! Smokes headlocks and grinds, but Saquon fights up.

Saquon lifts Smokes as he powers up and out, and Dion tags in. Saquon drops down, Dion HIP TOSSES Smokes, then Saquon is the human weapon, HIP TOSS SENTON! Dion pats Saquon on the back, but he has to hurry to keep Smokes down! Smokes kicks free, hot tag to Brad but Sauqon tags in! Sauqon dodges a boot, MONKEY FLIPS, then he blocks Brad’s boto! Brad begs for mercy but Saquon trips Brad to CATAPULT him! Brad tumbles up and over the ropes and to the outside, but manages to land on his feet! Brad avoids the dropkick, but Saquon just bounces into another DROPKICK! The fans fire up but Smokes runs up!

Sauqon hurdles, Dion ROCKS Smokes, and DarkState pinballs Smokes around! Then DOUBLE DECK, and DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up as DarkState is finally locked in, and NXT goes picture in picture.

Drake coaches up his boys, but Saquon drags Brad up and into the ring. Saquon wrenches Brad, tags Dion, and Dion CLUBS the arm. Dion whips Brad to a corner, then runs up, but Brad dodges! brad CHOPS, UPPERCUTS, and puts Dion in the Swipe Right corner. Brad stomps away, then tags Smokes. Smokes stomps away, then he drags Dion around. Smokes tags Brad so he can SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Brad clamps onto Dion with a chinlock and grinds him down. Dion fights up, Smokes tags in, but Dion arm-drags Brad! Smokes clamps on but Dion arm-drags him away, too! Dion then dodges, hot tag to Saquon!

Saquon rallies on Swipe right with LARIAT after LARIAT, then atomic drop after atomic drop! Brad tumbles up and outta the ring again, then Saquon CLOBBERS Smokes! Saquon fires up, then runs up on Smokes. Brad tags in as Smokes goes up and over! Smokes kicks, Saquon blocks, but Brad runs in! Brad frees Smokes’ leg, then Smokes BOOTS Saquon for Brad to KNEE LIFT and NECKBREAKER! Smokes BLASTS Dion while Brad covers, TWO! Saquon survives but Brad stomps him down. Brad has Saquon in the corner, brings him around, and he CHOPS! Tag to Smokes, Swipe Right mugs Saquon, then Smokes smothers him!

The ref counts, Smokes stops to stomp Saquon back down, then he stomps Saquon more. Smokes pushes Saquon down to cover, ONE! Smokes hurries to block Saquon from Dion! Smokes ROCKS Saquon, has him in the corner, and he tags Brad back in. They mug Saquon, Brad UPPERCUTS, and NXT returns to single picture. The fans rally for DarkState but Brad storms up. Saquon fires body shots, but Brad BOOTS him! Saquon staggers, but he ROCKS Smokes! Then he ROCKS Brad! Saquon ELBOWS Smokes but Brad kicks low. Brad runs up on Saquon, Saquon moves, and Brad RAMS Smokes by accident!

The fans fire up as Saquon then flounders around the outside, but Drake & Myka stand in his awy. Smokes runs up, but Saquon THROWS him into barriers! Smokes is down, Drake & Myka worry, but Brad meets Sauqon int ehring! Squqon jukes Brad to hot tag Dion! Dion rallies on Swipe Right! LARIAT for Brad, then an elbow! FLAPJACK for SMokes! Dion clinches Brad, adds Smokes to it, DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS! Dion kips up, the fans fire up, and Dion pump handles Brad for the lift and POWERSLAM! Cover, Smokes breaks it! Dion snarls as he THROWS Smokes out! Then Dion scoops Brad, but Brad slips free!

Brad shoves Dion, Saquon sneaks a tag, and Brad KNEES Dion! Tag to Smokes, but Saquon avoids Brad to drop toehold Smokes! STRADDLE ATTACK DROPKICK COMBO! The fans fire up as Saquon hurries to slingshot and Oklahoma Roll! TWO, but Saquon backslides Smokes! TWO, and Saquon runs up, but Smokes RAMS low! Smokes huffs ‘n’ puffs but Saquon HEADBUTTS! Smokes BACKHANDS Saquon, then tags Brad! But Saquon BOOTS Smokes, then GAMANGIRIS! Brad runs up, Saquon dodges, but Brad blocks a kick! Saquon tries again but Brad DRAGON SCREWS him outta the air!

Brad has the leg, but Saquon sees Dion slip in! Saquon hops and lets himself fall, that HOTSHOTS Brad into Dion’s SLINGSHOT BOMB! Then Saquon goes up, and he FLYING LARIATS Smokes! Dion hurries to cover Brad, TWO!! Brad survives and the fans can’t believe it! Neither can DarkState! The fans rally up, Dion shoves Brad to ropes, and Saquon goes up again. Dion Electric Chair Lifts, but Smokes makes the safe! Brad CLOBBERS Dion, tags Smokes, and Swipe Right runs, but into DOUBLE LARIATS! Dion hurries, but Drake gets in Saquon’s face! This keeps Saquon from the tag! Cutler & Osiris step to Drake, but Myka steps to them!

The fans rally as Swipe Right double whip Dion. Saquon sneaks the tag, Dion BOOTS Brad! Dion dodges Smokes, SPINEBUSTER! Dion covers but doesn’t realize about the tag! Dion hurries out of the way for Saquon to MACHO ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Smokes survives and the fans can’t believe it! Dion asks Saquon what’s going on but Saquon says he had to tag in! Brad runs up, Saquon dodges, and Dion gets blasted! Saquon ROCKS Brad, but Smokes snatches Saquon to a cradle! SWIPE RIGHT WINS!!

DarkState is beside themselves! The number’s game is supposed to be their thing, yet they got outplayed by Vanity Project! Saquon is frustrated, but Dion realizes that the time has come. Osiris & Cutler step into the ring, and he wants them to hold on. They don’t need to do this. But then Cutler & Osiris DECK SAQUON!? They beat Saquon down, and even Dion is shocked! They named Saquon the weak link?! But then Dion nods, and he joins in! The fans boo as Dion chooses self-preservation over loyalty, and he whips Saquon for the SPINEBUSTER! Cutler & Osiris say Saquon is getting what he deserves for his weakness, but then Saquon SLAPS Dion!

Dion snarls, he tells Cutler & Osiris to get him! They drag Saquon out of the ring, bring him to the desk, and Dion clears the commentary desk! DARKSTATE BOMB through the desk!! The fans boo as the Sugar Man tastes the bitterness of betrayal! After all he’s done to try and keep the group together, what is Saquon to do now that he’s all alone? And if this is what DarkState will do to a former friend, what will they do to the rest of the roster?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT here, with a lot paved for the summer stretch. Very good tag match from Tony & Myles VS Mason & Kam, and while the challengers getting a win was expected, fitting move for Kam to snipe the win. The promo later was maybe a bit redundant, but Mason beating Kam down was also a fitting move. Naraku confronting Tony backstage was also good, can’t wait to see how we get to an actual #1 contender. And if Kam expects to get the top title already, then maybe the North American title is Myles VS Tavion since they’re at odds over all this championship business. They could certainly give us a show stealer of a match, too.

Very good promo from Lani and a decent one from Izzi, but she’s maybe doing too much in trying to add her reactions to everything. Kendal joining the segment felt a bit much at first, but setting Lani up for Wren to attack was good stuff. Wren VS Lani will be good but I feel like Lani wins that to keep herself going towards the title. Lola VS Izzi will be really good, and with The Culling trying to do that and the tag match with OTM, that can be Izzi’s excuse for why she loses. As for Culling VS OTM, I think OTM should win that to keep themselves strong going towards the tag titles.

Great title match from Tatum VS Lizzy, Lizzy is already making a great impression as far as in-ring. I figured Tatum would win, and Zaria going after her so suddenly was pretty good, too. Tatum VS Zaria could happen next, and that could go either way since Zaria’s been hovering around titles this entire time. Very good continuation of this Jaida Parker VS Natalya build, and bringing in more of the Evolve stars is good. Jaida is of course winning over Layla, but I beat Nattie doubles down by saying beating Layla isn’t a test for Jaida. There’s gonna be a lot of heat once we finally get Jaida VS Nattie, can’t wait to see it.

Good promo from Sean and Dorian to set up their match and the Speed tournament, while also segueing into Tristan VS Romeo. Very good match, but Shiloh campaigning for “Mr. NXT” took a little bit away from it. Good stuff, though, and of course Arianna Grace did not like Shiloh trying to move in on her pageant gimmick. Shiloh VS Dempsey will be good stuff, and if anything, Tristan costs Shiloh the win to add head to their eventual match. Tate VS Keanu was really good, even with Tate “doing too much” still being unlike his Evolve character. But it explains away Tate losing since he tried to do more, and Keanu gets a great win for it.

And awesome stuff from Swipe Right VS DarkState, but I had a feeling Swipe Right would survive. I’m not sure which way I really thought this DarkState story would go, but something about the group ejecting Saquon was a bit surprising. Saquon is so good in the ring and on the mic, though, he’ll work as a Face right away. The rest of DarkState is firmly Heel again for this, and Saquon definitely has an uphill battle against his former friends.
