I think it’s about time that I start rattling some cages. I made my main roster debut in the main event of Madison Square Garden, six weeks after I broke my leg on that announce table. Six weeks! And most people would’ve drowned under the lights, but lad, I swam! WrestleMania 40, Lincoln Financial Field, 60 THOUSAND people! I stood on top of a ladder and I brought home the SmackDown tag titles. I stood on top of the world, everything was going like I’d planned.

“And then, something changed. And I don’t know what it was, cuz it’s not my work ethic, it’s not my talent. Maybe I was too honest. Maybe I didn’t politic. Maybe I didn’t kiss the right ass. But the last two years here have been an absolute embarrassment and I’m man enough to admit it. I spent a year carrying 240 pounds of idiot on my back, making him relevant again! So much so, that these people actually chanted his name! Never before, never since, but I don’t care how many bells and whistles you give him. At the end of the day, that Marty Jennetty is still allergic to the microphone! It gets worse!

“The last year of my career, I pretended I was at a funeral. And I committed to the bit, I wore the silly hat, I climbed to the top of every arena in this country, and on a live microphone, I told the world just how good… someone else was. And the ironic thing is, I was dressed for a funeral, but the only thing dying was my career. But it’s a new day!” The fans cheer that, and Waller says he could sit at home, cash a check, eat salt ‘n’ pepper chicken at catering once a week, but that ain’t him! That’s not what he does! He’s in the best shape of his life! Every day, he goes to war on himself mentally and physically, because he needs to feel it!

Waller says he’s got demons. And in order to get where he should be, he needs to conquer them. The one keeping him up at night is the NXT Championship. Because we all know that title used to mean something! It used to represent THE best wrestler in the world! Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Seth Rollins, and Johnny Gargano! Even recently, from Bron Breakker to Carmelo Hayes to Trick Williams to Oba Femi! They get on the main roster, the red carpet is rolled out, they get treated like gods! That title represents the future of the industry, but Waller never had it, so he gets treated like a Netflix ad break comedy act!

But not anymore! He’s conquering his demons! He’s here to take the NXT title! Because honestly, who’s gonna stop him? “Cruz Montana?” (Mike Santana) Love the new name, by the way, it sounds great. But he walked in last week like he’s someone! Like he’s a man of the people! But Waller knows these people. In six weeks, they’ll have another shiny new toy and won’t care about you. But what really frustrates Waller is that Montana walks in like he’s gonna go right to the NXT Championship, all because he was the top guy in TNA! It ain’t 2005, lad, being the top guy in TNA is like being the best basketballer at the YMCA, Waller is not impressed.

The fans are torn, but Waller says speaking of unimpressed, where’s Tony? What doesn’t he do something? Tony D’Angelo finally got to show the world what to do, because there was no one left! So Waller will do Tony a favor and send him home to his ugly newborn baby, and show him that this top guy stuff isn’t for him! Then a staffer signals to Waller that HBK wants him to wrap it up. Oh? Tell Shawn that if he’s got a problem with this, he can come stop Waller himself. They gonna go to commercial? It’s too early! Hey, why not send out one of HBK’s guys? Cuz yeah, HBK’s gut his guys, and Waller used to be one of them! But even HBK moves on.

In fact, Waller has a message for the NXT roster: Get off your phones, stop filming TikToks, maybe watch NXT and learn something! Because Waller just walked into your house, didn’t wipe his feet, and everything he is saying he means with the utmost disrespect. The NXT Men’s Division is soft, lazy, and complacent! They’re just happy to be here! The fans like that! Waller says yeah, the “fat flops” will love this one: The women are running LAPS around the boys! The fans do indeed cheer, and Waller says yet still, 90% of these guys think they should be called up tomorrow. Here’s a little secret: Waller looks at the roster, 10% are ready, but it’s all the women!

Cuz you’ve got world class athletes! The tryouts, the passion, the energy! And then the guys get signed, and they’re happy to just have “WWE Superstar” plastered on their Instagram bio. Then they play wrestler for about six months, get with the mediocre girls from Downtown Orlando, and spend all their time in medical! And then, they have the indie talent, Waller’s people! They come here and do things in this ring that no one else can! They get a mic in their hands, and oops, all the energy gets sucked out of the room cuz they’re charisma vacuums. And he knows they’re all looking over at HBK, seeing if he’s freaking out.

But deep down, HBK is smiling cuz someone’s finally telling the truth. The fans cheer even more, and Waller says this Men’s Division has been for the taking for months! He tries to stop the fans from cheering him on, he doesn’t need their support. He’s cooking, let him cook! The fans cheer again, and Waller says this division is for the taking, but no one’s done anything about it! Waller’s gonna walk in, take the title, take the division, and take everything the others were supposed to have, because unfortunately, even with this embarrassment of a roster, he’s starting to remember who Grayson Waller is!

The most underrated man on the roster! The pound-for-pound best- Oh no, the mic gets shut off! The fans boo but Waller figures he’ll just go to the next level. Waller grabs a camera and says if you don’t wanna give him an opportunity, he just took it! Consider the cage rattled! The signal cuts, but the Aussie Icon has called his shot! Will nothing stop him from taking over NXT?

Tavion Heights and Myles Borne talk backstage.

Tavion’s all worked up after hearing Waller talk like that. Myles says if Waller wants to come back and say all that, then game on. Tavion can’t believe Cruz is here now, too. Myles says yeah, but first thing’s first. Tavion agrees, Myles will handle Kam Hendrix, then together, they’ll handle Swipe Right’s tag title party. Time to show everybody why Myles & Heights are the faces of NXT. And #ChampChamp has a nice ring to it! They dap it up, but Mason Rook steps in and asks if they heard what Waller said. Yeah, they did. Rook says Waller comes to NXT, calls ’em all “dufters,” and tries to get the rub from them?

Tavion’s still working on “dufters,” but Rook says it’s basically “a disappointment.” Rook is sick and tired of people saying they ain’t it. The NXT boys are damn good, and he’s gonna show it when he gets his hands on Kam. Myles says hold on, we all know Kam’s obnoxious, but Rook needs to stay outta this. Rook says let him think. Yeah, he’s 110% ready to beat Kam’s ass! Tavion says Myles doesn’t need to worry about Rook, he’ll make sure he doesn’t interfere. Is that right? Rook heads out, Tavion says yeah, that’s right! Myles, just lock in. But can Myles prove he was born for more titles? Or will the Rook move in and put everyone in check?

Lizzy Rain VS Izzi Dame w/ Niko Vance!

The Maiden of Metal is always ready to rock, but she wants to bang heads with The Culling’s It Girl! Will Lizzy get her payback on Izzi for everything she’s been up to lately? Or will even Lizzy see It Iz What It Iz?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Izzi pushes Lizzy to the ropes, but the ref counts. Izzi backs off, CHOPS Lizzy, then cheers herself on. The fans rally for Lizzy, she and Izzi reset, and they tie up. The fans duel, Izzi puts Lizzy on the ropes, but the ref counts. Izzi ducks the chop to CHOP back! The fans cheer, Lizzy eggs Izzi on, then dodges her. Lizzy waistlocks, headlocks, but Izzi powers up and out. Izzi dodges Lizzy, but Lizzy goes Matrix to doge back! Izzi shoves Lizzy, ELBOWS her down, and the fans are torn again. Izzi says she’s too smart, but Lizzy KICKS her from below! Okay, not that smart. Lizzy dodges, CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS!

Lizzy whips Izzi corner to corner, Izzi reverses, but Lizzy goes up and over. Lizzy ROCKS Izzi, then goes up, but Izzi YANKS Lizzy down! Lizzy hits buckles, then Izzi LARIATS! The fans are torn again but Izzi drags Lizzy up. We get a quick picture in picture to see Cruz Montana has now arrived to the arena! Izzi bumps Lizzy off buckles, then stalks her to smack her off more buckles! Lizzy flounders, Izzi drags her up, and Izzi suplexes for a FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO! Izzi frowns as Lizzy survives, but she scoops Lizzy, only for Lizzy to slip free and roll Izzi up! TWO, but Lizzy kicks the legs out! Lizzy runs to WHEEL KICK!

The fans cheer as Lizzy hurries to get Izzi up. Lizzy ROCKS Izzi, CHOPS her, then HEADBUTTS! Izzi kicks low, KICKS again, but Lizzy ENZIGIRIS! Lizzy runs, springboards, and BACK ELBOWS! The fans fire up for Lizzy but Izzi bails out. Lizzy builds speed to- NO, Izzy stops the wrecking ball to YANK Lizzy from the ropes! Lizzy hits apron, then Izzi BOOTS her down! The fans boo Izzi but she taunts Lizzy while NXT goes to break.

NXT returns as Lizzy ROUNDHOUSES Izzi from the apron! Lizzy then climbs up the corner and the fans fire up! Izzi stands, Lizzy MISSILE DROPKICKS! Izzi staggers, Lizzy runs up, and LARIATS! And ELBOWS! And then bobs ‘n’ weaves! Izzi ducks a roundhouse but the HEEL KICK hits! Lizzy PUMP HANDLE SUPLEXES Izzi! The fans fire up as Izzi ends up in a corner! Lizzy is feeding off that energy, and she CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! “MAKE! IT! RAIN!” But Izzi SHOVES Lizzy, goes up, and FLYING CODE BREAKER! Lizzy flounders, but she rises back up! ROLLING ELBOW! The fans fire up as Izzi is down and Lizzy goes back to the corner!

Niko Vance is freaking out for Izzi as Lizzy puts her in the ring. Lizzy hurries in, fireman’s carries, and DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Izzi survives and Lizzy is stunned! The fans rally as Lizzy runs up again, but into a KNEE! Izzi runs up, ROLLING CRUCIFIX!! Cover, TWO!! Lizzy survives and Izzi is beside herself! “This is Awesome!” as Izzi RIPCORDS Lizzy and LARIATS! And RIPCORD BOOT! Izzi snarls, brings Lizzy up again, but Lizzy CUTTERS! The fans fire up as Lizzy then runs, HEADBANGA!! But Lizzy wants an encore! Niko gets on the apron, blocks Lizzy’s slap, and sets her up for the BOOT!

The fans boo but Izzi grins. But then Izzi points behind Niko. SHAWN SPEARS is here! He scares Niko with a chair, Izzi turns around, THUNDERSTRUCK!! Cover, LIZZY WINS!

Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno talk with Cruz Montana.

The Supernova & Freestyler are actually excited to see what The Realest can do in NXT. Cruz says thanks, and this was a long time coming, huh? Romeo says yeah, he’s been waiting for Cruz to be an NXT star. Cruz says yeah, and he knows Romeo & Dar have a bright future ahead. Dar does his best to keep up with the Espanol, but then Saquon Shugars steps in and says hola, muchachos. Dar & Romeo apologize to Shugars, and he says nah, he can’t hold ’em. They were reliable scrapping there. And hey, Dion is still pulling splinters outta his ass from last week, so it is what it is. Romeo says he’s up for doing it again, Dar isn’t so sure.

Dar ushers Romeo along, Shugars asks what’s the hold up, but then he sees Cruz. Cruz brings up the last time they saw each other, he was whooping Shugars all over Madison Square Garden. Oh, you jazzin’? Shugars is a whole different individual now. Oh, word? Yeah, word! Shugars ain’t got Moe, Larry ‘n’ Curly holding him back no more. And hey, he’s a changed man. Let him handle DarkState first. Cruz says we’ll see what he can do about that. Shugars says yeah, the whole world gonna see. Bet! Shugars heads out, but then Kelani Jordan steps in. She says hi, and being a former TNA champion herself, she wants him to know what he’s getting himself in for.

It is a very unfair work environment here. Cruz says Lani’s come a long way from being Knockouts Champion. Yes, she had to, because she is the best woman on this roster. But how does she get repaid? Getting screwed over time and time again! And that might be his future, because she’s never even gotten a fair chance at the NXT Women’s Champion! She beat Kendal before, she beat Lola before, but the ref can’t count! Lani turns around, Cruz is gone. She says of course, ignore her like everyone else! He’ll fit in just fine. Will Cruz indeed find himself in the title scene soon enough? Will Lani ever get over herself?

Vanity Project complains to Robert Stone.

They don’t like how he’s running NXT, they don’t like his suits, and “back in our day,” you had to earn tag title opportunities! Facts! How about some quid pro quo? Jackson Drake doesn’t know what that means but he agrees. Ricky Smokes brings up that Myles & Tavion get a shot so long as Myles defends against Kam Hendrix, but that has nothing to do with them! Stone points out it was if Myles beats Kam, which isn’t 100%. But what? Are they scared? Scared!? Watch your mouth! Myles & Tavion have not been a team in over a year, but Swipe Right’s been the best in the nation since the day they got here!

Drake says let him tell you something about Myles Borne! There’s a reason he chose to wrestle Kam over Drake: Myles knows he can beat Kam, and he saw Drake whoop Tavion’s ass. So Myles knows he can’t even touch Drake. But that’s fine, because once the situation gets situated, Swipe Right will still have the titles, and one day soon, Drake will be NXT North American Champion! But then Keanu Carver steps in. Vanity Project shuts up, but Drake gives Keanu a stern look. Meanwhile, Myka gives Keanu a different kind of look… Drake asks if Myka’s ready to go, and she says she is now. Vanity Project heads out, are there things other than titles they need to be worried about losing?

As for Keanu, Stone knows he’s upset about EK Prosper, but just let him- Keanu says relax, he’s not gonna do anything. He just wants a match with EK next week. R-Really? That’s it? That’s it. Then done. Keanu appreciates that. They shake hands, and Stone says no problem. Stone worries that that was way too easy… Then he gets a phone call, and he answers. Waller, no, get back in the building! They are not finished talking! Stone has a lot on his plate, but can he get things under control somehow?

NXT prepares to return to the Underground.

Lola Vice says, “The reality is, there’s a lot I could say about the NXT Women’s Championship. There’s a lot I could say about Kendal Grey. But next Tuesday, Kendal Grey is entering my world, and I’m not just talking about The Underground. Kendal Grey doesn’t know what it’s like to be knocked out. She doesn’t know what it’s like to suffer the pain. She doesn’t know what it’s like to put her head down, humble herself, and prove she’s undeniable in a whole new world. But I do. I busted my ass to prove myself in the toughest women’s division in wrestling, and when that didn’t feel like enough, I traveled to Mexico, wrestled for AAA, and Lola Vice became undeniable, like I always said I would.

“The champion in the deepest women’s division in wrestling can’t juts be happy to be here. She needs to have a chip on her shoulder. And Kendal will run this division one day, but it’s not gonna be while I’m still here. I’ve shown I can handle the balance. I show it in my work ethic. I prove it with every win. In the Underground, an amateur wrestler is stepping into a real fight. Kendal is stepping into a world she knows nothing about, a world of pressure. In the Underground, I have the advantage. Next week, I’m gonna expose Kendal Grey. And after I knock her out, she’ll be left with the biggest chip on her shoulder, and I’ll be a two-time NXT Women’s Champion.”

And Thea Hail spooks her coming in hot talking about Jaida beating Nattie! Jaida says yeah, she’s happy with that win, too. Cuz she realized you either sit around, or you go and make opportunities, and she did that. A win is a win, right? Thea agrees. And the right woman got her hand raised! Jaida also knows she hasn’t been the easiest to deal with, Thea didn’t have to do that for her, but she appreciates Thea. Thea say she’s got Jaida. If anyone understands how hard it is around here, it’s Thea. She practically grew up here. It’s difficult, you feel vulnerable, even lonely. Jaida says that’s exactly how Nattie made her feel.

Jaida was alone, had nobody, but then Thea proved her wrong. Thea says yeah, Jaida was coming around and being nice to Thea, so she felt it was only right. But also, Thea finally got time to talk to Stone. Nattie is really pissed. Duh! But now, they’re gonna have a tag match with Nikkita & Karmen next week. Jaida says say less, they’ve got this. Really? Them? Jaida & Thea? Hail yeah! Thea has been the most trustworthy person in this locker room forever, so Jaida’s got her back. Thea hugs Jaida, she’s so excited! Will Thea & Miss Parker show Nattie’s minions that they’re two grown-ass women that don’t play? Or can #BigKatKita and #ShingShing avenge the Lowkey Legend?

NXT North American Championship: Myles Borne VS Kam Hendrix!

The champ is ready to go the distance for his brother in arms, but all his challenger wants is to shine in the spotlight. Will Myles defend his title and earn his shot at the tag titles? Or will we have to accept that it’s all about Lights, Kam, Action?

NXT returns as Myles makes his entrance. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if it’s showtime!

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally behind Myles but Kam talks trash. They tie up, go around, and Myles puts Kam on the ropes. Kam turns things around on Myles, but then they move off the ropes. Myles puts Kam back on the ropes, but Kam shoves him away. The fans boo but Kam talks more trash. Myles TACKLES Kam and floats around to the facelock. Kam slips free, then kicks low. Kam wrenches, wristlocks, and repeat. Kam ELBOW BREAKERS, RAMS the shoulder, then talks trash. Kam wrenches again, slips under, and THROWS Myles down! Kam cording holds but the fans rally as Myles fights up.

Kam wrenches again, but Myles rolls, kips up, and slips through to wrench and WRING Kam out! The fans cheer, Kam gets up, but Myles blocks a body shot to wrench again. We get a quick picture in picture of both Hank ‘n’ Tank and the duo of Legacy & Van Dux. They talk, Cruz walks by and says hey and they all shake hands. Speaking of hands, Myles keeps on Kam’s with a wristlock. Kam pulls Myles’ ear, arm-drags, but Myles wrangles Kam again! Myles bends fingers, Kam fights up, but Myles grinds the arm again. Kam pries at the chinbar, but Myles wrenches again. But Kam ROCKS Myles! Myles ROCKS Kam!

Kam kicks low, runs, and he RUNS Myles over! Kam scoops and SLAMS Myles, then pushes him down to cover, ONE! Myles is tougher than that, but Kam looms over Myles. Kam talks trash, soaks up heat, then stands Myles up. Kam CLUBS Myles, runs the ropes, but Myles DROPKICKS! The fans fire up as Kam bails out, and Myles FLIES! Down goes Kam and the fans fire up again! Myles rises up, fires up, and the fans cheer again! Myles shakes off that landing, goes to the apron, but Kam TRIPS Myles up! The fans boo but Kam stares Myles down as NXT goes picture in picture.

Kam pushes Myles into the ring, just to drag him back out and SMACK him off the apron! Myles wobbles, the ref reprimands, but Kam glances at the title. Kam SMACKS Myles off the apron again, then stalks Myles along the way. Kam fires body shots, shadow boxes to show off, then he whips Myles, only for Myles to reverse! Kam hits POST, then Myles LARIATS Kam! Myles drags Kam up, puts him in the ring, and hurries after him. Kam goes to the far side, then back to the outside. Myles is annoyed, but the ring count is climbing. Kam slides in as Myles steps out, but Myles hurries back in. Myles ROCKS Kam, then CLUBS him into a corner.

Myles SMACKS Kam off buckles, then drag shim back up. Myles UPPERCUTS and Kam flops against ropes. Myles bumps Kam off buckles again, then stalks him along the way. Kam blocks the buckle bump to body shot! Kam whips but Myles reverses to SMACK Kam off buckles! Then HIGH CROTCH PLEX! Cover, TWO! Kam is tougher than that but Myles is right back on him. Kam wrenches, mule kicks, ROCKS and JUMP PUNCHES Myles down! Cover, TWO! Kam stomps Myles in frustration, then throws a body shot.

Kam whips Myles, Myles reverses, and Kam ends up in the corner. Myles runs up, but into a BOOT! Kam back suplexes Myles onto buckles! Myles falls forward, Kam stomps him around, then he CLUBS away on Myles’ neck and shoulders! Kam stomps Myles around, then pushes him down for a KNEE DROP! Myles scrambles away, but Kam CLUBS him back down. Kam stalks Myles, fires fast hands, but the ref has him back off as Myles is in the ropes. Kam brings Myles up as NXT returns to single picture, and uses his own HIGH CROTCH LIFT! Kam shows off before the POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!

Kam is frustrated, but Myles is toughing it out. Kam rains down forearms but the fans rally for Myles. Myles sputters, but Kam drags Myles into a chinlock. Myles endures, the fans rally up, and they even chant “KAM, YOU SUCK!” Myles fights up, but Kam THROWS Myles down! Kam ELBOW DROPS, covers, TWO! Myles is tougher than that but Kam stays cool. Kam talks trash, says this is his time, and he CLUBS Myles down. The fans boo but Kam soaks up the heat. Kam clamps onto Myles with a chinbar and half nelson, but the fans continue to rally up. Myles fights up, up, but Kam CLUBS him back down!

The fans boo but Kam talks more trash. Kam eggs Myles on, makes him look at the fans, then BLINDSIDE LARIATS! The fans boo and chant “KAM, YOU SUCK!” but Kam just pushes Myles to a cover, with a half nelson! TWO, and Kam smirks as he feels he’s close. Kam drags Myles up but Myles fires a body shot! Kam ROCKS Myles, fires fast hands, then ROLLING- NO, Myles ducks to fire haymaker after haymaker! Myles whips, Kam reverses, but Myles LARIATS! And LARIATS! And then a whip and BACKDROP! And then a HIP TOSS! And then a DROPKICK! Kam bails out but Myles pursues!

Myles puts Kam right back in, but Kam dodges a lariat! Only to run into the SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up for Myles as he stalks Kam. But Kam holds ropes, no Borne Again! CROSSBODY! Cover, ONE!! Myles is not done yet and Kam is furious! We get a picture in picture of Rook and Tavion watching this, and then Rook gets impatient! Rook storms out of the locker room, Tavion hurries to follow! Kam POSTS Myles, then scoops him! But Myles slips free, shoves Kam away, and SNAP POWERSLAMS again! The fans fire up, Myles covers, TWO! Kam survives, Myles clutches his shoulder, but Kam bails out.

The fans rally as Myles builds speed! Myles DIVES into a SLAM DUNK! Kam may have played football, but he can still ball! Wait, Tavion is trying to stop Rook! Tavion JUMPS on Rook, Rook throws him off, but Tavion says just wait! Myles will win, then Rook can get Kam! But then SHOWTIME KICK from Kam!! Cover, TWO!! Myles survives and Kam is furious! Kam snarls, brings Myles up, and wrenches to a back suplex! Myles lands out, and BORNE AGAIN!! Cover, Myles wins!

Tavion says see? Myles retains his title and earns his shot at the tag titles! Now Rook jumps in and fires off on Kam! And LARIATS him up and out! Drake says he’s gonna get Myles’ belt, and Swipe Right sets Tavion up! But Myles DECKS Drake, BLASTS Smokes, and Tavion slips free to CLOBBER Baylor! Myles BACKDROPS Drake, then  he and Tavion DOUBLE LARIAT Drake up and out! Vanity Project scrambles away in retreat, will they regret jumping the (former) NQCC boys?

Backstage interview with Lizzy Rain.

Emily Agard is with the Maiden of Metal, and also a box of popcorn chicken by KFC, as she brings up Lizzy finally getting the better of Izzi Dame. Wait, why is she snacking on KFC? Lizzy says you know how it goes. You get a bit amped up before a match, and when it’s done, you’re starving! Shiloh Hill put her on to this KFC popcorn chicken, and it is the perfect refuel. She feels she could kick Izzi’s ass all over again! As for what’s next, hopefully Izzi is in Lizzy’s rearview, because Lizzy’s looking at that Underground match of Kendal VS Lola. That’s gonna be a real scrap! But then Tristan Angels steps in and says he is disappointed in Lizzy!

He can’t believe she’s taking inspiration from Shiloh Hill! What happened to a spot o’ tea and sandwiches? Perhaps once Tristan thoroughly demolishes Shiloh, with or without that demonic tooth, everyone will reconsider who their role models are around here. Mr. England walks off, Lizzy says don’t worry about him. Want one? They’re wicked. Emily says why not, then pops a popcorn chicken. Emily agrees, they are good! But will the real treat be when #ToothlessAggression humbles Tristan Angels?

OTM gets ready backstage.

Bronco Nima asks Lucien Price if he’s ready, and Price says yeah. Is Bronco ready? But then surprise, Los Garza is here, in their Perros Del Mal shirts! Bronco asks what they’re doing here, and Berto says he knows why. Angel says no matter where Bronco goes, they’ll always be there for him. Because when you’re a Perro, you’re never alone. Bronco daps it up with Los Garza, then tells Price that it’s time to get it! Price is a bit unsure about this, but will the only thing that matters be their win over BirthRight?

Robert Stone is back on the phone.

And apparently, Waller is on his way back as he was told. Stone says when he gets here, he better come right to Stone’s office. Stone hangs up, and Zaria steps in. She wanted to talk? Yes, she wants to talk about her next challenger, considering her last defense was meant to be 1v1 and Stone made it a Fatal 4 Way. Yes, well, that was an injury based situation, it wasn’t supposed to go that way. But then Wren Sinclair steps in. Zaria says they were kinda busy, but Wren says Kendal’s busy training for Underground so Wren wants to get going on her next challenger. Zaria says the North American title takes precedence over the Speed tournament.

Stone says he will still organize a tournament, and Wren says if they’re looking to fill spots, Zaria surely wouldn’t mind competing, since she’s such a good champion. Zaria says yeah, that’s why she doesn’t need a tournament. Zaria wants her next defense, and Wren says it could be against her. What was that? Wren says she could be the next challenger. Then she could be a double champion, since we haven’t had one since… Oh, technically Lola but also- Zaria stops Wren there, and Stone says hey, here’s a solution for both of them. It’ll be like Myles with Kam Hendrix. Wren will defend her Women’s Speed Championship against Zaria, and if Wren wins, she can then challenge for Zaria’s title.

Wren and Zaria both like how that sounds, but Zaria says Wren better count her days. Zaria heads out, is the Agent of Change about to follow in the Surfer Girl’s footsteps after all?

OTM VS Uriah Connors & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo w/ BirthRight!

Bronco Nima & Lucien Price have been day ones for a long time, and they’re fighting to finally have their day as tag team champions. Will they finally get out the mud with this one? Or will this be the night BirthRight makes their families proud?

The teams sort out, Uriah starts against Bronco, and they tie up. Bronco THROWS Uriah down, Uriah scrambles away and Stacks tags in. Stacks headlocks, but Bronco powers up and out. They RAM shoulders, Nima stays up, but Stacks ROCKS him! Stacks goes to whip but Bronco blocks and reverses. Stacks grabs ropes to BOOT back! Stacks then slips under to UPPERCUT! Stacks gloats but Nima says he eats that for breakfast! Nima YANKS Stacks up, scoops him, but Stacks slips free! Tag to Uriah, but Nima scoops to LAWN DART off buckles! Tag to Price and OTM mugs Uriah. The fans fire up as Price BODY SHOTS Uriah! Cover, ONE!

Uriah goes to a corner, Price runs up, but Uriah dodges! Uriah CHOPS, but Price just seethes! The fans fire up as Uriah swings again, but Price blocks, and he CHOPS Uriah down! The fans fire up with Price, he tags Nima, and they double whip Uriah to DOUBLE ELBOW! Cover, TWO! Uriah bails out, he wants a timeout, but Nima says this ain’t that kinda game. Uriah slips in, Stacks sneaks the tag, and BirthRight mugs Nima! The fans are torn but BirthRight gets Nima up. But Nima DOUBLE SUPLEXES them first! The fans fire up as Nima then RAMS Stacks to the corner! Tag to Price, he catches Uriah and RAMS him into Stacks!

Nima KNEES Uriah, Price LARIATS, and then feed to the scoop !Uriah slips free, he BOOTS Price! Nima SHOVES Uriah out, Price FLIPS Stacks, and Price KNEES Stacks down! The fans are all fired up for OTM, and they get Stacks up to THROW him out onto all of BirthRight! The fans are thunderous for OTM while NXT goes to break.

NXT returns as Stacks and Nima stagger to their feet. Nima ROCKS Stacks, fires body shots, but Stacks kicks the legs out! Stacks BLASTS Price, but Nima TOSESS Stacks! Uriah sneaks a tag, GAMANGIRIS, and Stacks BACK ELBOWS! Uriah is up top, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO! Nima survives and the fans fire up again! Uriah is frustrated, but he tags Stacks. They get Nima up top, go up after him, but Nima fires body shots. Stacks falls back, Nima HEADBUTTS Uriah, then he BOOTS Stacks! Nima goes up to FLYING STOMP! The fans fire up while both men are down! Nima crawls, reaches out, hot tags to Price and Uriah!

The fans fire up as Price LARIATS Uriah, SUPERKICKS Stacks, then HEADBUTTS Uriah! Dempsey gets on the apron but Price BLATS him! SPLASH on Uriah in one corner, SPLASH on Stacks in the other, then repeat! Stacks runs up, Price dodges, BOOT hits Uriah! The fans fire up as Price then URENAGES Stacks! Los Garza walk out here, argues with Lexis King, but Arianna Grace trips Price up! Nima hurries to keep the peace between Los Garza and BirthRight, but that leaves Price alone! Uriah SUPERKICKS Price, then he and Stacks set up! DOUBLE SHOT! Cover, the ref is busy with the others, but he finally counts! BIRTHRIGHT WINS!

Nima is furious with what happened, but Price might be the only one who sees the reason why it happened. And then Los Garza step into the ring, and Nima has to again keep the peace. Can Nima get anywhere with his focus split between NXT and AAA? Will BirthRight rise up the ranks and leave them behind?

Kendal Grey speaks.

“Next week, there’s no question. This will be the biggest match of my career. Taking on Lola Vice, putting this title on the line, in an Underground match, where she’s been undefeated. But y’know what? I’m coming back to what made me Kendal Grey, and that’s training with my dad.” Her dad, Ely, says he’s been to hundreds of Kendal’s matches and competitions, spent thousands of hours training, and he knows when to push her, when she can give more. And she needs to be very technical, with good cardio, to get her hand raised.

Kendal says her dad taught her that the most important conversation you have is the one with yourself. You wake up with it, you walk around with it, you go to sleep with it, and eventually, you act on it. Kendal is the underdog, knowing Lola can submit you from any angle and her strike game is elite. But that’s why Kendal took this challenge. That’s what made her the Iron Survivor, the Evolve Women’s Champion, and now the NXT Women’s Champion. But that’s why she’s brought in some help. Julius Creed says when it’s a big match, you gotta bring out the big guns.

But in all seriousness, from the first time he saw Kendal compete, he could see she had tenacity, grit, toughness, and “it.” Every past world champion he’s worked with has had “it,” and she’ll bring all of those things next week when she takes on Lola. You will here #AndStill. Julius got Kendal into WWE, who saw something in her before anyone else did. So next week, it is the match people wanna see. In amateur wrestling, Kendal faced a lot of adversity and still found success. Next Tuesday, we’re looking for the same result. Julius has no doubt that Kendal is prepared. Now she just has to prove the world and Lola Vice what Julius already knows.

Kali Armstrong is in the locker room.

She notes Kendal and Lola in the Underground, and says it should be her scrapping with Kendal! Izzi Dame says Kali literally just got here! Girls like her and Lizzy need to wait their turns, because Izzi’s only even gotten one shot at that title! Kali says nah, the Difference Maker don’t wait in line. Lani says a bold statement from someone she already pinned! If only that ref wasn’t so blind, she’d be number one contender instead! And then ironically, she and Izzi would be tied for number of chances. But no, why would it be that easy for Lani? So no matter who survives, Lola, Kendal, or any new girl that enters this division, Lani WILL become NXT Women’s Champion!

But then Reina Volcan steps in. And she says this Women’s Division doesn’t rebuild, it reloads. Reina steps back out, having put everyone on notice. But who will have the next shot after Lola takes her shot next week?

Shiloh Hill VS Tristan Angels!

These two competed in the first-ever Mr. NXT Pageant, and the LFG Season 2 Champion got the major upset over Mr. England. And ever since, Tristan has truly been upset, taking and crushing Shiloh’s iconic false tooth. But now, “The Fog” has rolled in, and Shiloh vows it will drag Tristan into the darkness! Is Tristan not ready for #ToothlessAggression? Or can Angels survive the hell Shiloh is about to put him through?

The bell rings and the two circle. Tristan tests the ropes, then runs up, but Shiloh blocks a shot to HEADBUTT! Shiloh RAMS into Tristan, whips him corner to corner, but Tristan BOOTS him away! Tristan runs up, but into a BACKDROP! The fans cheer, Shiloh runs up and LARIATS in the corner! Then he short arm LARIATS Angels down! The fans cheer, but Tristan throat chops! The fans boo, but then Tristan whips, only for Shiloh to reverse and ELBOW! Shiloh suplexes for a SHOULDER BUSTER! Cross-arm cover, TWO! Shiloh shows some of what Taker taught him, then runs in, but is sent into buckles!

Tristan THROWS Shiloh down by his hair, then drags him up to ELBOW him down! The fans rally and some fans actually cheer Tristan, and Tristan CLUBS Shiloh again! Tristan CHOPS Shiloh at the ropes, whips, but Shiloh KNEE SMASHES! And he THROWS Tristan down by his hair! Shiloh runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and SHOULDER TACKLES! Tristan tumbles out while the fans fire up. Shiloh goes out, whips, but Tristan reverses! Shiloh tiger feints, but Tristan blocks it! Tristan spins Shiloh around, DRAPING NECKBREAKER! The fans boo but Tristan talks trash as NXT goes to break.

NXT returns as Shiloh THROWS Tristan away to a corner! Shiloh ROCKS Tristan, whips him corner to corner, but Tristan reverses. Tristan runs up, blocks boots, and puts Shiloh in the ropes for a DRAPING BACKSTABBER! Tristan runs, Shiloh dodges, and Tristan hits buckles! Shiloh ROCKS Tristan, Tristan UPPERCUTS, but Shiloh DECKS Tristan! Shiloh whips, Tristan reverses, but Shiloh CLOBBERS Tristan! And BOOTS him! And then scoops to SLAM! The fans fire up as Shiloh guzels, and says “You wanna play?!” IMPLODER SENTON! Cover, TWO! Tristan survives but Shiloh is after him in the corner.

Shiloh puts Tristan up top as the fans rally and duel. Shiloh climbs, but Tristan fires hands! Tristan CHOPS, Shiloh hops down, and Tristan leaps, but into a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Tristan survives again but Shiloh goes to the apron. Shiloh climbs, but Tristan hits the ropes to trip him up! Tristan says he HATES Shiloh, so this is what he gets! Shiloh guzels, Tristan breaks free and ENZIGIRIS! Tristan climbs up, up, and brings Shiloh up to join him! SUPER DUPER PLEX! Cover, TWO! Shiloh survives and the fans cheer again! Tristan is furious, he talks trash, and he SLAPS Shiloh! And SLAPS! And SLAPS!

Shiloh SLAPS Tristan back, then LARIATS him up and out! The fans fire up as Shiloh goes out after Tristan, but Tristan YANKS him into the desk! Tristan drags Shiloh up, and whips him hard into the steel steps! The fans are torn as Tristan pulls the steps apart. Tristan puts Shiloh in place, runs up, but Shiloh avoids the knee drop! Tristan scrambles, clutching his leg, but Shiloh reels him in! POWERBOMB on the desk! The desk doesn’t break but maybe Tristan just did! The fans go nuts, Shiloh puts Tristan in the ring, and Shiloh covers, TWO! Tristan survives again but the fans rally up. Shiloh snarls, brings Tristan up, and back suplexes! Tristan lands out!

Tristan O’Conner Rolls, with ropes! The ref sees it in time! The fans cheer, and Shiloh lifts, but Tristan punches free! Only to run into the POP-UP FOREARM! Shiloh RAMS into Tristan, puts him up, then goes up to join him! SUPER THUNDER BREAKER!! Cover, Shiloh wins!

Tristan thought he had Shiloh off his game, but he didn’t know Shiloh was on this level! Will Shiloh keep going until he’s on top of NXT?

Cruz Montana goes to the ring!

The fans fire up as The Boricua Badass makes his way through the crowd, and he high-fives his way down the stands. The fans cheer him on as he gets the mic, and he says, “Hey yo, NXT, what’s good?” The fans cheer again, and he says you know he always prides on being real, so he’ll keep it a buck with all of you. These are words he never thought he’d say: Cruz Montana is officially a WWE Superstar! The fans cheer again, and Montana says check it. There were a lot of times he never thought he’d see tomorrow. Not TNA, not WWE, another day of life. Because where he came up was in some of the toughest neighborhoods of New York!

From the lower eastside to the Boogie Down Bronx, baby! Every day was a struggle to survive, and tell you what, he was no saint. He’s made mistakes he can’t take back, but he learned those nights that he was fighting the man in the mirror. There were a lot of times where he thought this dream was dead for him. So he had to make a decision: Either become another story of wasted potential, or become the man that his daughter deserves to call her father! The fans cheer that, and Montana says then they told him he had reached his ceiling as a tag team wrestler. They said he couldn’t be “the guy,” and to be honest, it did something to him.

For 20 YEARS, he has fought the toughest battles in himself, and he was on a losing streak. But then he started to win, baby! And every single step forward wasn’t him chasing validation. it was him proving and taking advantage of the opportunities he was given at a second chance. He rebuilt his career one match at a time, one city at a time, and one opportunity at a time. He’ll tell us this, he’s gotta get this off his chest. He loves and appreciates what TNA did for him. But tonight, he stands here as a WWE Superstar, and not a damn thing was given to him! The fans cheer again, and Montana says he will not let his past dictate his future, only he does that!

And look at him now! Standing in the place everyone wants to be, and he’s starting the chapter he’s been chasing his entire life. But guess what? Guess what?! “WHAT?!” Last year he came here with one mission in mind. He wanted to prove he has what it takes to be among the best. He isn’t here to fill a spot, he’s here to take a spot! And that spot is as the NEW N X T CHAMPION! The fans cheer that, and Montana says check it. That Grayson Waller dude, cute little promo, homeboy. But what he’s got to say, he’ll say to Waller’s face, and they can meet at whatever YMCA Waller wants. But then the NXT Champion, Tony D’Angelo, appears!

The fans cheer as The Master of Fate goes to the ring, grabs a mic, and looks Montana in the eyes. Tony welcomes Cruz to NXT. And since he wanted to interrupt last week, Tony decided to introduce himself properly. He is Tony D’Angelo, THE NXT Champion. The fans cheer again, and Tony says for the past few years, he’s seen some of the hottest names in free agency walk through the door, step in this ring, and address the WWE Universe, saying how they’ll run NXT, win the title, and change the business, the whole nine. Now everything Montana just said, with all that passion, Tony believes every single word.

Except for one teeny, tiny thing. The spot Montana wants, the spot of NXT Champion… Unfortunately for him, as well as “Kangaroo Jack,” that spot is taken until further notice. Now, he can be The Realest, the nastiest, the baddest on the block, but what he won’t be is NXT- Montana says he’s gonna cut Tony’s ass off right there. How about he just show Tony exactly how he’ll take that spot? The two stare down, the fans cheer them both on, but then WALLER CLOBBERS THEM BOTH! The fans boo as Waller DECKS Montana, then fires hands with Tony! Tony ROCKS Waller, then DEAD- NO, Waller fight sfree!

Montana runs up, Waller ducks, the LARIAT hits Tony! Waller grins as he slips away, and says that title will be his. Tony gets back up, he and Montana are on edge, but things got that much more explosive here on NXT. But who will be left standing when the smoke clears?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT and that was quite the surprise for Waller to show up. He dropped the closest thing NXT’s ever seen to a “Pipe Bomb” promo, that was awesome, and while Waller did his best to stay Heel in all this, the fans definitely loved hearing him throw all that truth out there. Good story throughout where Waller was rogue and Stone was trying to get him to return, only for Waller to attack during the closing promo. Great stuff from Montana, and naturally Tony showed up. Waller getting the better of Tony and Montana here, it already feels like he’ll just be the one losing a Triple Threat so that Tony can lose and Montana can win without changing the power levels.

Good promos from Montana with other superstars, too, and good interaction between him and Shugars. It’s always a good part of story when continuity is kept, but also in a realistic way. Shugars is Face but Montana won’t just accept him right away, similar to Chad Gable on main roster. Lani venting and complaining and Montana not having any of it was great, too. Jaida & Thea VS Lyons & Petrovic next week is going to be great, too, but I wonder if Nattie affects the outcome. I’m still hoping Layla Diggs returns and joins Jaida’s side for a Six Woman Tag before this is all over.

Great match from Lizzy VS Izzi, and of course Shawn Spears affected the outcome to get back at Culling. Doesn’t sound like there’s a Mixed Tag planned as Lizzy is hoping to move on from this. Very good promos from Lola and Kendal ahead of their Underground match, and that is gonna be some awesome stuff. No idea who wins, but the possibilities for after are great. Izzi, Kali, Lani, and Reina had a good promo, I wonder if we’ll get a Fatal 4 Way #1 contender’s match. Sure, we got one for the Women’s North American title, but why not do another? Waller told no lies saying the Women’s Division is still amazing.

Very good promo from Myles, Tavion and Rook to hype up the title match, and great match from Myles VS Kam. Good showing for Kam but great win for Myles, and I appreciate Rook listening to reason and waiting until the match was done. Vanity Project had a good promo with Stone, and I like the tease that Myka might “upgrade” to Keanu Carver. Good attack from them on Myles & Tavion, as that’s what Heels do. But Tavion & Myles turning the tides, pretty sure that means Swipe Right finds a way to win. They’ve been cheating with numbers, that probably happens again, as repetitive as that would be.

Very good stuff with bringing Los Garza as representatives of Perros Del Mal, and how that plays on the OTM dysfunction. BirthRight gets a solid win off OTM for it, and it feels like we might get OTM VS Los Garza, forcing the issue of who Nima sides with. And great main event match, and I’m actually a touched surprised Shiloh won again. Hopefully Shiloh and Tristan move on, too, but I can’t be sure what either of them do since the NXT title is still a bit out of reach, and the North American title is tangled inside the story between Myles & Heights VS Vanity Project. When is Lexis King gonna defend that dang Speed title?
