Kyle Fletcher Captures The AEW International Championship

AEW delivered another major title change earlier in the night, as Kyle Fletcher defeated Konosuke Takeshita to win the AEW International Championship. Fletcher scored the win after a physical match that saw Takeshita fight through arm damage before Fletcher hit a corner brainbuster for the finish, bringing the championship back into the Don Callis Family picture.

The post-match segment kept the Callis Family in focus, with Mick Foley interviewing Fletcher, Don Callis inserting himself into the moment, and Andrade later making it clear he wants to take gold away from the group. Between Fletcher’s title win and the rest of the Callis Family’s championship orbit, AEW clearly has them positioned as the company’s central power group (and there’s quite a few groups at a whole).

Jack Perry Re-Signs With AEW

After recent reports that Jack Perry had not yet signed a new AEW deal, the suspense ended on Dynamite. AEW aired a video package recapping Perry’s history with the company, including his attack on Tony Khan, before revealing that Perry had officially re-signed with All Elite Wrestling.

The timing is notable because Perry’s contract status had become a legitimate story earlier in the week, with reporting that his deal was close to expiring. TNA locked down a former world champion, as Rich Swann has officially re-signed with the company. TNA confirmed the news after it was first reported by the Daily Star, with Swann publicly stating that he has re-signed with Total Nonstop Action.

For TNA, retaining Swann matters because the company is in a period where experienced names can help stabilize the roster while newer acts continue to develop. It also gives Swann a chance to keep chasing unfinished business, including more championship opportunities, as TNA continues its Thursday night run on AMC.
