Ethan Page WWE Intercontinental Championship

Ethan Page wins the Intercontinental Title, CM Punk challenges Grayson Waller, John Cena unveils his Classic, and AEW finalizes Blood & Guts.

Ethan Page captured the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw, defeating Chad Gable in one of the evening’s biggest developments heading into WWE Crown Jewel. The title change was accompanied by another escalation between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn, who ended the broadcast by delivering a Helluva Kick to the World Heavyweight Champion.

John Cena also made a significant announcement, revealing the date, location and championship for the upcoming John Cena Classic. The event will take place December 14 at Walt Disney World, with Cody Rhodes becoming its first officially invited participant.

Meanwhile, WWE NXT Halloween Havoc produced a major surprise when CM Punk challenged Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship, setting up a match for Wednesday’s special edition of NXT. AEW also finalized both Blood & Guts lineups, with the women’s match expanding to six competitors per team.

Elsewhere, New Japan Pro-Wrestling established its Super Junior Tag League final for Power Struggle, while CMLL’s Día de Muertos celebration saw Hechicero defeat Darby Allin and Xelhua capture the Rey del Inframundo Championship.

It’s the Chairshot Wrestling News Report for November 3, 2026!

Ethan Page Dethrones Chad Gable to Capture Intercontinental Championship

Ethan Page achieved one of the biggest victories of his WWE career Monday when he defeated Chad Gable to become the new Intercontinental Champion on Raw.

The championship encounter provided a physical contest between two competitors with very different approaches. Gable attempted to control the match through technical wrestling and submissions, while Page focused much of his offense on the champion’s already injured neck and shoulder.

Gable responded by targeting Page’s knee, repeatedly attacking the joint to weaken his opponent’s ability to escape the Ankle Lock. The strategy created several opportunities for the champion, who also delivered an Angle Slam onto the announce table and eventually connected with Chaos Theory.

However, the punishment to Gable’s neck prevented him from maintaining the bridge needed to complete the pinfall following Chaos Theory. Page capitalized with Twisted Grin, then used an exposed turnbuckle to create the opening for a decisive Ego-Plex.

The victory ended Gable’s reign and gave Page his first championship on WWE’s main roster. For a competitor who has spent much of his career establishing himself through a combination of in-ring ability and an outspoken personality, the result represents a major advancement.

The finish also provides Gable with an obvious argument for another opportunity. Page used the exposed turnbuckle to help secure the victory, and the former champion can reasonably point to that moment as a determining factor in the outcome. However, the result stands, and the Intercontinental Championship now belongs to Page.

The championship change creates several possibilities for Raw’s midcard division. Page has already demonstrated an ability to draw attention through his presentation and confrontational attitude, and holding the Intercontinental Championship gives that approach greater significance.

Gable’s immediate future is less certain. His neck and shoulder problems became important factors in the match, and the loss could lead either to an immediate rematch or a longer effort to regain his place in championship contention.

With Crown Jewel approaching, the title change was one of the most consequential developments of the evening. Page enters November as champion, while Gable must determine how to respond to a defeat that came despite several opportunities to retain.

WWE Raw Results — November 2, 2026

WWE presented Monday Night Raw from Brooklyn, New York, featuring an Intercontinental Championship change, a major announcement from John Cena and another confrontation between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. The final Raw before Crown Jewel also strengthened several championship rivalries heading into Saturday’s premium live event.

  • Intercontinental Championship — Ethan Page def. Chad Gable to win the championship.
  • Six-Woman Tag Team Match — The Judgment Day def. Chelsea Green, IYO SKY & Tiffany Stratton.
  • Six-Man Tag Team Match — The Vision def. Penta, Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee.
  • Royce Keys vs. Solo Sikoa ended in a no-contest.

Liv Morgan gained an important psychological advantage ahead of Crown Jewel when she pinned WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green during the six-woman tag team match. Green became distracted while attacking Roxanne Perez, allowing Morgan to capitalize with Oblivion and secure the victory. The result gives Morgan momentum before the two champions meet Saturday, although Green’s championship was not at stake.

The Judgment Day’s success also continued its involvement in several interconnected women’s division rivalries. Tiffany Stratton remains a potential threat through her Money in the Bank contract, while IYO SKY has unfinished business with Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez. Those relationships ensure that Morgan’s championship situation remains complicated despite her victory.

The Vision defeated Penta, Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee in another physical encounter. Bron Breakker delivered the decisive Spear to Evans after catching him during an aerial attack, providing his team with a convincing result. Bronson Reed and Austin Theory also contributed to the victory, while Logan Paul attempted to influence the action from ringside.

The outcome puts additional pressure on Evans and Penta heading into their scheduled World Tag Team Championship opportunity at Crown Jewel. Their opponents have repeatedly used superior numbers to control confrontations, and Monday’s result demonstrated that the challengers will need to find a way to overcome that disadvantage.

The ongoing rivalry between The Bloodline and The 946 also escalated when Royce Keys faced Solo Sikoa. Their match ended without a decision following interference from Bronco Nima, Lucien Price and Carmelo Hayes, prompting Roman Reigns and The Usos to intervene.

The confrontation took another turn when NXT’s Cruz Montana attacked Reigns, apparently aligning himself with The 946. The addition gives the faction another dangerous member and strengthens its position against The Bloodline.

Sami Zayn then delivered the final blow of the evening, entering the ring and connecting with a Helluva Kick to Reigns. The Undisputed WWE Champion had already confronted his Crown Jewel opponent earlier in the broadcast, refusing to back down despite Reigns’ attempts to dismiss him.

Zayn’s attack changes the tone of their upcoming Champion vs. Champion encounter. Rather than entering the event as an underdog seeking validation, Zayn has increasingly embraced an aggressive attitude, demonstrating that he is prepared to take the fight directly to Reigns.

Randy Orton also intensified his rivalry with Cody Rhodes, invoking the legacy of Dusty Rhodes while threatening his opponent ahead of their Last Man Standing Match. The confrontation continued a feud that has become increasingly personal, with both competitors emphasizing the lengths they are willing to go to secure victory.

Monday’s Raw delivered a championship change and several important developments for Crown Jewel. Page now holds the Intercontinental Championship, Morgan has momentum over Green, and Zayn enters his confrontation with Reigns having struck the final blow. WWE has established several major storylines heading into Saturday, although their outcomes remain far from certain.

John Cena Announces December 14 Classic at Walt Disney World

John Cena returned to Raw with major details about the upcoming John Cena Classic, confirming that the special event will take place December 14 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The event is scheduled for the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, creating an unusual situation in which WWE will present two Raw broadcasts on the same date. One will originate from Perth, Australia, while the Cena Classic will be held in Florida.

Cena also unveiled a championship specifically created for the event. The design draws inspiration from the familiar spinner championship associated with his career, although the new version features Cena prominently on its face rather than duplicating the original presentation.

The announcement established Cody Rhodes as the first officially invited participant. Cena praised Rhodes during the segment, acknowledging his role as one of WWE’s leading performers and expressing confidence in his ability to represent the company.

Cena also explained that he intends to visit additional WWE programming to recruit participants. His planned appearances include NXT, SmackDown and Survivor Series, giving the company several opportunities to establish the field before the December event.

The format creates an opportunity to bring together competitors from different parts of WWE’s roster. While the complete field has not been announced, the involvement of Cena and Rhodes gives the event an immediate connection to two of the company’s most recognizable stars.

Randy Orton interrupted the segment, bringing the conversation back to his increasingly hostile rivalry with Rhodes. Cena left the ring as the confrontation developed, allowing the upcoming Last Man Standing Match to become the focus.

The Cena Classic is an unusual addition to WWE’s December schedule, particularly because it carries the name and personal involvement of a recently retired performer. More details about the competition and its complete lineup are expected as Cena continues recruiting participants.

CM Punk Challenges Grayson Waller Following NXT Halloween Havoc

CM Punk delivered the biggest surprise of NXT Halloween Havoc when he challenged Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship, setting up a title match for Wednesday, November 4.

Waller had just survived a difficult championship defense against Tony D’Angelo when Danhausen appeared to introduce a special message. Punk then appeared by video and announced his intention to challenge the champion, prompting NXT General Manager Robert Stone to make the match official.

The announcement gives Wednesday’s special edition of NXT an unusually prominent main event. Punk has not competed in an NXT ring in more than sixteen years, and his return places one of WWE’s most established performers opposite a champion attempting to solidify his position.

Waller’s victory over D’Angelo was hardly straightforward. The champion repeatedly targeted his opponent’s neck and used increasingly questionable tactics, eventually taking advantage of a referee collision to strike D’Angelo with the family’s old crowbar before finishing him with the Rolling Stunner.

Punk presents a different challenge from D’Angelo, bringing extensive experience in championship matches and high-profile confrontations. Waller has demonstrated a willingness to exploit every available advantage, but his usual tactics may be less effective against an opponent with Punk’s background.

Wednesday’s broadcast will also feature John Cena and Cody Rhodes, giving NXT a remarkable collection of established WWE stars alongside its regular roster.

For Waller, the opportunity is significant regardless of the outcome. Successfully defending against Punk would represent one of the most important victories of his reign, while a defeat would dramatically alter the direction of NXT’s championship picture.

With the match now official, Wednesday’s episode has become one of the most consequential NXT broadcasts of the year.

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc Results — October 31, 2026

NXT presented Halloween Havoc on Saturday with six matches, including two championship defenses and several encounters built around the event’s unusual atmosphere. Grayson Waller and Kelani Jordan retained their respective championships, while Izzi Dame secured an important non-title victory over Zaria.

  • Weapons Wild Match — Myles Borne def. Tavion Heights.
  • Non-Title Match — Izzi Dame def. NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria.
  • Very Nice, Very Evil Match — Zilla Fatu def. Charlie Dempsey.
  • NXT Women’s Championship — Kelani Jordan def. Wren Sinclair to retain the championship.
  • Shiloh Hill def. Naraku.
  • NXT Championship — Grayson Waller def. Tony D’Angelo to retain the championship.

The Weapons Wild Match between Myles Borne and Tavion Heights featured a variety of objects, including chairs, tables, a toolbox and loose metal hardware. Both competitors took advantage of the stipulation to intensify their personal rivalry, with Borne eventually sending Heights through a table before finishing him with Borne Again.

Izzi Dame defeated Zaria after employing psychological tactics involving images and impersonations of Sol Ruca. The distractions allowed Dame to regain control against the physically dominant champion and secure the victory with a Busaiku Knee. Although Zaria’s championship was not at stake, the result gives Dame a strong argument for future consideration.

Zilla Fatu defeated Charlie Dempsey in the first Very Nice, Very Evil Match, a stipulation introduced by Danhausen that allowed weapons and falls anywhere. BirthRight attempted to interfere on Dempsey’s behalf, but Fatu fought through the numerical disadvantage and finished his opponent with a Fatu Splash.

Kelani Jordan retained the NXT Women’s Championship against Wren Sinclair, repeatedly attacking the challenger’s arm to weaken her submission offense. Sinclair continued pursuing the Final Wrench despite the damage, but Jordan eventually escaped and used the ropes for leverage during the deciding pinfall.

Shiloh Hill defeated Naraku following a bizarre confrontation that moved between backstage settings and the ringside area. The match leaned heavily into Halloween Havoc’s supernatural presentation, with Hill overcoming his opponent’s mist attack before securing the victory.

Waller’s championship defense against Tony D’Angelo closed the in-ring competition, with the champion exploiting a referee collision and an illegal weapon to retain. Punk’s subsequent challenge then shifted attention immediately toward Wednesday’s championship encounter.

With Halloween Havoc complete, NXT has several important programs moving forward. Jordan remains champion despite another disputed finish, Dame has a victory over Zaria, and Waller now faces a challenger whose presence could transform the brand’s main event picture.

AEW Finalizes Twelve-Woman Blood & Guts Match Following Collision

AEW’s women’s Blood & Guts match has expanded to twelve participants following the events of Saturday’s Fright Night Collision, with Queen Aminata and Persephone completing the opposing teams.

Aminata joins Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor. The opposing side consists of Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Megan Bayne, Lena Kross and Persephone.

The additions bring another championship rivalry into an already complicated match. Aminata defeated Persephone for the TBS Championship on Dynamite, and the former champion has made it clear that she wants another opportunity to reclaim the title. Their involvement gives both teams an additional source of personal hostility heading into Wednesday.

The match also creates unusual partnerships. Statlander and Cameron are scheduled to challenge Hayter and Windsor for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear, yet the four will need to cooperate against their common opponents inside Blood & Guts.

AEW has also finalized the men’s encounter, with AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, Darby Allin and Steven Borden facing the Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Kevin Knight, Wardlow, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle.

The match carries additional significance because Ospreay is scheduled to defend the AEW World Championship against Fletcher at Full Gear on November 14. Their participation in Blood & Guts places the two rivals on opposing sides of a major stipulation match just ten days before their championship encounter.

Both matches are scheduled for Wednesday’s Dynamite from Jacksonville, Florida. With twelve competitors involved in each contest, AEW has committed a substantial portion of its roster to one of its most demanding television events.

AEW Collision Results — October 31, 2026

AEW presented Fright Night Collision from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, featuring the return of The Hurt Syndicate, an Artist of STARDOM Championship defense and another victory for Jay White’s faction, The Cut.

  • Tommaso Ciampa def. Matt Sydal.
  • The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) def. SoloRoto (Aaron Solo & Nick Comoroto).
  • Artist of STARDOM Championship — Triangle of Madness def. Hazuki, Koguma & Fuwa-chan to retain.
  • Ilja Dragunov def. The Beast Mortos.
  • Mike Bailey def. Darius Martin.
  • Divine Dominion def. Nixi XS & Leela Feist.
  • The Cut (Juice Robinson & The Gunns) def. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong).

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin made a dominant return to tag team competition, overwhelming their opponents with a series of powerful strikes and Spears. Lashley eventually pinned Aaron Solo, establishing that The Hurt Syndicate remains a formidable presence in AEW’s tag team division.

Triangle of Madness successfully defended the Artist of STARDOM Championship against Hazuki, Koguma and Fuwa-chan. The challengers repeatedly threatened to capture the titles, but Julia Hart used black mist against Fuwa-chan while the referee was distracted, helping the champions secure the victory.

Ilja Dragunov defeated The Beast Mortos in a physical encounter, finishing with the D-Bomb after surviving considerable punishment. Tommaso Ciampa subsequently appeared on the entrance stage, suggesting a potential confrontation between the two competitors.

Mike Bailey defeated Darius Martin in another competitive singles match, while Divine Dominion overwhelmed Nixi XS and Leela Feist. The latter result reinforced Megan Bayne and Lena Kross as dangerous participants in Wednesday’s Blood & Guts match.

The Cut closed the broadcast with another controversial victory over The Conglomeration. Kyle O’Reilly appeared to have Juice Robinson trapped in an ankle lock, but interference distracted the referee long enough for Jay White to supply Robinson with brass knuckles. Robinson struck O’Reilly with the weapon and secured the pinfall.

The faction continued attacking its opponents after the match, leaving Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong down alongside O’Reilly. The closing scene strengthened The Cut’s position as a growing threat within AEW, particularly as its rivalry with the Death Riders moves toward Anarchy in the Arena at Full Gear.

Collision also established Marina Shafir as the next challenger for AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné at Full Gear. Their championship encounter adds another significant match to the November 14 event.

WWE SmackDown Results — October 30, 2026

WWE’s Halloween-themed SmackDown delivered three successful championship defenses and several developments ahead of Crown Jewel. Danhausen hosted the special broadcast, which also featured an unusual confrontation involving Gunther and the return of The Demon Finn Bálor.

  • WWE Women’s Championship — Chelsea Green def. Nikki Bella to retain.
  • AAA World Cruiserweight Championship — Rey Fenix def. Ricky Saints to retain.
  • Jade Cargill def. Tatum Paxley.
  • Undisputed WWE Championship, No Disqualification Match — Sami Zayn def. Trick Williams to retain.

Chelsea Green survived Nikki Bella’s challenge, securing a rollup victory after Bella’s Rack Attack failed to produce a legal pinfall because Green’s leg was beneath the ropes. The result kept Green on course for her Crown Jewel encounter with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

Tiffany Stratton once again threatened to cash in her Money in the Bank contract following the match, but interference from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez prevented her from completing the process. IYO SKY intervened to help clear the ring, leaving Stratton still searching for an opportunity to capture championship gold.

Rey Fenix retained the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints, winning with the Mexican Muscle Buster. Jade Cargill also defeated Tatum Paxley after ringside distractions involving Alexa Bliss and Women’s Tag Team Champions Michin and B-Fab created an opening for the decisive offense.

Danhausen’s Halloween presentation took another unusual turn when Gunther interrupted one of his segments. The confrontation resulted in the appearance of The Demon Finn Bálor, who attacked Gunther and drove him through the announce table with a Coup de Grace from a ladder.

The main event saw Sami Zayn defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams. After outside disruptions involving Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae and Lil Yachty, General Manager Nick Aldis restarted the encounter under No Disqualification rules.

Zayn ultimately retained by delivering a low blow and striking Williams with the championship belt. The controversial victory ensured that Zayn would remain champion heading into Crown Jewel, while his increasingly aggressive tactics continued defining his reign.

SmackDown also established a No Holds Barred Match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens for Friday’s broadcast. With Crown Jewel taking place the following day, WWE has positioned another major confrontation immediately before its next premium live event.

NJPW Super Junior Tag League Final Set for Power Struggle

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has finalized the 2026 Super Junior Tag League championship match, with Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X facing Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita on November 3 at Power Struggle in Hiroshima.

Both teams completed round-robin competition with four victories, one defeat and eight points, advancing through head-to-head tiebreakers against other teams with identical records.

Ishimori and Robbie X secured A Block after defeating Nick Wayne and KUSHIDA in their final tournament match. Their victory proved decisive because DOUKI and Yoshinobu Kanemaru also finished with eight points, but Ishimori and Robbie X held the tiebreaker.

Eagles and Fujita earned their place in the final by defeating YOH and Hyo on Sunday. Blake Christian and Lee Johnson also finished with eight points in B Block, but their earlier loss to Eagles and Fujita prevented them from advancing.

The final brings together two partnerships with considerable recent history. Both teams have held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, and their rivalry provides a familiar competitive foundation for the tournament’s deciding match.

Power Struggle also features an IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship defense involving Gabe Kidd and Taichi, along with additional championship matches and prominent international participants. The event gives NJPW an opportunity to conclude the tournament while establishing several directions for its remaining 2026 schedule.

Hechicero Defeats Darby Allin as Xelhua Wins CMLL Rey del Inframundo

CMLL’s Día de Muertos celebration at Arena México featured two significant results, with Hechicero defeating Darby Allin and Xelhua capturing the Rey del Inframundo Championship.

Hechicero, the reigning CMLL World Heavyweight Champion, defeated AEW TNT Champion Allin in a non-title encounter that brought together two competitors with dramatically different approaches. Allin used his customary high-risk offense, while Hechicero relied on technical wrestling and physical punishment.

The victory allowed Hechicero to respond to an earlier defeat against Allin in AEW, giving their developing international rivalry another chapter. Neither competitor’s championship was at stake, but the result strengthened Hechicero’s position heading into his upcoming match against Zack Sabre Jr.

The evening’s championship development saw Xelhua defeat Guerrero Maya Jr., Calavera Jr. I and Ráfaga Jr. in a four-way elimination match to become the new Rey del Inframundo Champion. The result ended Guerrero Maya Jr.’s reign and provided an important accomplishment for the rising CMLL performer.

The event also featured Persephone defeating Lluvia and Olympia, Mina Shirakawa overcoming India Sioux, and Bárbaro Cavernario teaming with Soberano Jr. to win a three-way tag team match.

CMLL’s presentation continued demonstrating the value of its relationships with international promotions. With AEW performers appearing at Arena México and a collaborative event with NJPW approaching on November 16, the company remains an important destination for international wrestling competition.

WWE Announces 2027 Royal Rumble for Glendale, Arizona

WWE has announced that the 2027 Royal Rumble will take place Saturday, February 6, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The event will mark the fortieth annual Royal Rumble and brings one of WWE’s most recognizable premium live events back to the Phoenix metropolitan area. State Farm Stadium previously hosted WrestleMania XXVI in 2010, providing a familiar major-event setting for the company.

The announcement gives WWE another stadium event to promote as it prepares for the beginning of the 2027 WrestleMania season. The Royal Rumble traditionally establishes major championship opportunities and provides the foundation for several of the company’s most significant storylines heading into WrestleMania.

For Arizona wrestling fans, the announcement finalizes a major addition to the region’s live entertainment calendar. More details regarding ticket availability and the event’s lineup will be announced as February approaches.
