IMPACT News: Matt Sydal To Undergo Surgery
Earlier this year, Matt Sydal was pulled from various wrestling events throughout the country, and many speculated it was due to injury. Two days ago, Sydal confirmed he was going for an MRI on Twitter:
I got the MRI today. Going to Dr. Thompson tomorrow for the results. Thankful for my health regardless of minor setbacks!

Today, Sydal revealed the results, and they aren’t good:
I’m having surgery next Thursday to repair torn cartilage in my knee. I should be able to return to the ring by March or April. I’ll be teaching wrestling online, and at the @WWNLive training center throughout. Reach out to mattsydal@yahoo.com with questions. ✌🏼❤️👁

Jason’s Take:
Sydal has done quite well for himself since departing WWE in 2014 and recovered from his motorcycle accident. He has put on great matches in IMPACT against Eddie Edwards and El Hijo del Fantasma. Hopefully, this will be a fast recovery!
