The Maiden of Metal didn’t appreciate the Agent of Change going after her and Tatum Paxley after their title match, and after getting just a taste in a backstage brawl, it’s time for revenge in the ring! Will Lizzy rock the house tonight? Or will Zaria use Lizzy to sharpen her teeth before going after the Women’s North American Championship?

The bell rings, Lizzy runs up, but Zaria picks her up to RAM her into the corner! The ref counts as Zaria RAMS Lizzy again and again, then she backs off at 4. Lizzy BOOTS Zaria, then SHOTGUNS her to the corner! Lizzy fires fast hands but Zaria shoves her away. Zaria runs up, THROWS Lizzy out, but Lizzy is right back in. Lizzy runs up but Zaria reels her in. Lizzy slips free of the Canadian Rack  to waistlock, but Zaria bucks the O’Conner. Zaria puts Lizzy on the apron again, but Lizzy avoids the shoulder to KNEE Zaria away. Lizzy goes up, leaps, but has to roll through as Zaria moves. Lizzy keeps moving, blocks a hip toss, and she body shots to then RANA Zaria away!

The fans fire up for Lizzy and she runs up on Zaria in the corner. Zaria blocks a chop, but Lizzy breaks free to CHOP from the other side! Zaria scowls, guzels, and THROWS Lizzy to a corner! Zaria runs up, Lizzy goes up and over to ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up for Lizzy as she CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! “MAKE! IT! RAIN!” CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! Lizzy runs and CHOPS again! The fans fire up as Lizzy reels Zaria in, TORNADO- NO, Zaria powers out, then she BOOTS Lizzy down! Zaria CLUBS away on Lizzy’s back, then stalks her to the ropes. Lizzy kicks at Zaria, but Zaria YANKS her up to send her flying! Zaria stomps Lizzy around, then brings her up.

Zaria whips Lizzy to a corner hard and Lizzy falls to the mat! Zaria then whips Lizzy corner to corner again, and Lizzy still hits buckles hard! Zaria whips Lizzy a third time, and Lizzy again hits buckles hard! But then Tatum Paxley appears! The fans cheer as #TuesdayAddams taunts Zaria. Zaria snarls, hoists Lizzy up, but Lizzy sunset flips! TWO, and Lizzy hurries to fire a forearm! And a CHOP! Lizzy whips, Zaria reverses, then Zaria runs up, but into a BOOT! Lizzy goes up, up, but Zaria BLASTS her off the corner! Lizzy hits the floor and Zaria goes out after her! Tatum has joined commentary while Zaria drags Lizzy up and taunts her, and NXT goes picture in picture.

Zaria drags Lizzy up, RAMS her into the apron, then RAMS her in again! The ring count climbs but Zaria shoves Lizzy in. Zaria then HIP DROPS Lizzy down! Zaria soaks up heat, then HIP DROPS again! Zaria watches Lizzy flounder, then brings her up, only for Lizzy to roll her up! TWO, and Zaria scoops! Lizzy slips free, rolls Zaria again, TWO! Zaria LARIATS Lizzy down! Will Zaria make it reign after she faces Tatum for the title?

Myles Borne & Tavion Heights talk with Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux backstage.

The Men’s North American Champion notes that Super Sean and DVD had one hell of a match last week. Tavion agrees, and both men thank them for that. Myles says they should run it back. Tavion says nah, they should join forces, beat up the block like Tavion & Myles used to do! And like they’re gonna do right now against DarkState! Myles says yeah, for one night only. Man, don’t remind him! Tavion & Myles head out, Sean and Dorian do consider the idea, but then The Culling walk in. Niko Vance says tag teaming isn’t easy. Shawn Spears agrees, it is about communication. He should’ve told Niko about his idea to sneak attack.

Izzi Dame walks in and says speaking of communication, or the lack there of, how about they all just forget about last week? Really? Yes, really. Things didn’t go their way, obviously, but The Culling does not make excuses. For now, Izzi will put the NXT Women’s Championship on the backburner while they focus on more pressing business. Tonight is about Spears & Vance, so please finish what they started with OTM. Niko says of course. They have no other choice. The Culling heads out, but will it be that easy to tear down Lucien Price & Bronco Nima? Or will The Culling fail to get out the mud?

The North American Champion knows DarkState wants what he has, but his old friend is looking for his own golden opportunities. Can they clear out the obstacles to talk about this? With Saquon clearing out some space on the schedule, it seems The Culling will have to handle their business now rather than later. Will they prey on the perceived vulnerabilities of Lucien Price & Bronco Nima? Or will NXT see that opening up your heart makes you stronger, not weaker?

OTM doesn’t wait for teams to sort out, they go after The Culling at the ramp! The fans cheer while they brawl but Izzi is furious! Price SMACKS Niko off the steel steps while Nima puts Spears in the ring. The bell rings, Nima runs up, but Spears BOOTS him away! Spears fires hands, then kicks low to DD- NO, Nima holds ropes to deny the DDT! Spears panics, begs for mercy, but Nima picks him up with both hands! Then he drops Spears to ELBOW him! Tag to Price, Nima whips Spears to the corner, and OTM LARIAT ELBOW SANDWICHES him! Price then stands Spears up to CHOP! The fans fire up as Spears sputters.

Price warns Niko, drags Spears up, but Spears dropkicks the legs out! Spears hurries to tag Niko, then Niko BOOTS Price! Niko stomps away on Price while Izzi coaches him up. EK Prosper and Tate Wilder talk backstage.

The Disrespectfully Athletic asks how the Modern Day Cowboy is feeling, and Tate says he is ready to go. EK says that’s good. Tonight is another chance for Tate to show out. Pick your spots, fight smarter, not faster. Got it? Yeah, Tate appreciates that, but EK has seen this roster, so he knows that Tate has to do what he must to stand out! Tate has to take his chance! Yeah, but EK isn’t gonna hold his hand just cuz Tate’s his guy. Tate needs to slow down. But Kam Hendrix steps in and says yeah, EK is right, Tate is just reckless. Tate says he doesn’t need any of this whack Kam Hendrix energy, so just stop.

Kam says he gets the hate. Kam and Tate started here at the exact same time, and yet Kam beat not just one but two champions in his first match here. And now he’s in the main event for the title, while Tate is still chasing his first win. Tate says yeah, yeah, that’s about to change. He’s about to handle Jackson Drake. Tate leaves, and Kam pats EK on the chest as he says this is a big night for him, too. Huh? Kam says EK gets to tell his grandkids that he was in the building the night Kam Hendrix won his first championship. HA~! Kam heads out and EK says he hopes Tony D whoops Kam’s ass! Will it be Lights, Kam, Action tonight? Or will Tony still be the star of the show?

Tate Wilder VS Jackson Drake w/ The Vanity Project!

Just as EK Prosper and Kam Hendrix were saying, The Modern Day Cowboy has yet to win in NXT, but Tate knows  you just gotta get back on the horse and try again. But will this rodeo style only get Tate hurt? Or can he get wilder than Dr. Thirst can handle?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Tate arm-drags Drake away. They reset, circle, and tie up. Drake waistlocks, Tate wrenches free to wristlock, but Drake rolls. Tate wrangles Drake, keeps him down, but Drake kips up, only for Tate to wrangle him! Drake moves around, handsprings and arm-drags, to then kip up! Drake swivels the hips but Tate shakes his head. Drake swaggers and shoves Tate, but Tate CHOPS back! Drake is stinging, but he kicks low and headlocks tight. Tate powers up and out, Drake leaps over, but Tate ducks ‘n’ dodges to SLINGBLADE! The fans cheer while Drake bails out.

Drake says no, no, no! He does not like this! Vanity Project regroups, but Tate CANNONBALLS onto the boys! The fans fire up for Tate while Myka checks Drake, and NXT goes to break.

NXT returns as both Drake and Tate crawl to the apron. The fans rally up, both men rise, and Drake ROCKS Tate! Tate ROCKS Drake! They go back and forth, forearm for forearm, and the fans are on Tate’s side as he ENZIGIRIS! But then Drake PELES! Drake goes into the ring, and he APRON SPEARS Tate down! Talk about taking risks, Drake just went for broke! Drake goes up, and he 450- NO, Tate dodges, fireman’s carries, and T K O! Cover, TWO! Drake survives and Tate can’t believe it! The fans rally for Tate as he drags Drake into the drop zone. Tate goes up the corner, takes aim, but Drake hits the ropes to trip him up!

The fans boo but Drake fires up! Drake climbs up after Tate, gut wrenches, but Tate blocks! Tate fires body shots, then he SUPER SUSNET FLIP POWERBOMBS! The fans fire up as Tate goes right back up! TWISTING SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Drake survives and Tate is shocked again! The fans rally up, but Ricky Smoke gets on the apron! Tate BLASTS Smokes, then eh CLOBBERS Brad! Backstage interview with Robert Stone.

Emily Agard is with the NXT General Manager and brings up the big news: Great American Bash 2026 is set for Sunday, June 28th, and it will be the first-ever PLE to be played live on the CW Network. Stone says a PLE on broadcast TV will be one of the biggest nights in NXT history. Stone already has a lot planned, but then Osiris Griffin storms in! Osiris asks what the hell, letting Saquon get after Cutler and then letting him get away! Stone says he’s in the middle of something but Osiris says he doesn’t care! Where’s Saquon?! Stone doesn’t know, but he had to postpone the match- Osiris says they ain’t postponing nothing! Dion is stepping in for Cutler!

But what Osiris wants Stone to do is find Saquon. But then Jasper Troy arrives, saying Stone wanted to talk to him. Osiris says ain’t nobody wanna see Jasper! This don’t concern him. Jasper says what if it does. Osiris says he’ll put Jasper’s ass down right now! Stone does his best to keep the big men from throwing hands, but DION storms in and he SMACKS Jasper in the back with a chair! Jasper falls onto the cameraman! Stone asks the hell but DarkState beats Jasper up! Stone says NOT in the office, dammit! Another cameraman rushes in as Osiris & Dion bust up the office, and they’ve even thrown a bookshelf down on Jasper!

Dion & Osiris say ain’t nobody safe! Stone calls for medical, not just for the cameraman but for Jasper! Will DarkState keep their promise by becoming even more dangerous now than they ever were?

Lola Vice is here!

The fans cheer as the NXT Women’s Champion, and one half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, walks out to the ring. Lola grabs a mic to say, “Hola, NXT~!” The fans say, “Hola, Lola~!” Lola says she did what she said she would do, and she knocked out Izzi Dame. She then went to Noche de Los Grandes and proved that no matter whether it is WWE or AAA, Lola is the complete package! The fans cheer, and Lola says she stood here and told us all she is undeniable. No matter the match, the challenger, or the doubters, she proves everyone wrong! But don’t get it twisted. She didn’t win the title from luck.

It’s from how, over the past four years, she went to bed envisioning her name on these side plates. And she told herself she would do anything in her power to make it. She doesn’t do easy nights, she doesn’t do excuses, and she doesn’t make them for herself nor will she accept them from anyone else! So, the big question is… Who’s next? Because it just seems like everywhere she turns, someone is eyeing the title. But she loves it! Because this NXT Women’s Championship deserves women who are ready to step up! But whoever steps up is gonna leave the same way: Embarrassed and knocked out!

But speaking of stepping up, it’s The Standout! Kelani Jordan says hola, Lola! Does this mean it is finally time she gets her chance at the title? Because let’s face it, she has made it impossible to deny her any longer. Lani says Lola keeps calling herself undeniable, and Lani gets why. Lola went to AAA, made a name for herself, came back with momentum, and bam! She’s the NXT Women’s Champion. Lani steps into the ring and says here is what bothers her. Their stories aren’t that different, really. When Lola goes somewhere else to build her stock, a star is born. When Lani does it, the rules change. Right, guys? The rules are different for Lani, huh?

Because Lani went to TNA and became Knockouts Champion to prove herself. Lani wanted to show everyone she has what it takes, and that she could represent NXT anywhere, against anyone. But instead of getting praised, Lani gets questioned. The same people who applauded Lola’s success couldn’t wait to criticize Lani’s. That’s why she got kicked out of the locker room, remember? Lani has seen women come and go, opportunities be handed out, and title matches being made without Lani’s name ever even being in the conversation! So Lani is done asking, and she is DEMANDING! What else does she have to do?!

Lani has already tapped out Lola, already beat Wren twice, and she also beat Kendal. All she needs is one chance! Lola tells Lani that she was TNA Knockouts Champion, but if you blinked, you missed it! Meanwhile, this month makes a one-year anniversary with AAA! Aw, you wanna cookie or something? Wait, here comes the WrenQCC! The fans cheer for Kendal & Wren, and Kendal has a mic to say, “Hold on, hold on, hold on! I’m so sorry to interrupt, but Kelani, the only problem with this is that you’re not the only one who wants the NXT Women’s Championship.” Kendal helps Wren up the steps and to the apron as they approach.

Kendal says the difference between her and Lani is that Kendal isn’t gonna stand here and tell everyone why she deserves it. She’s already proven it! Did anyone forget how Kendal won Iron Survivor? Kendal didn’t. She walked into the toughest match of her career, and she pinned both Lani AND Lola! And there’s unfinished business with Lola, so if anyone is next, it’s Kendal. But…! Before Kendal worried about this title, she’s got a written receipt for Lani! What Lani did to her friend- Lani stops Kendal there. Lani says it’s what Kendal did to her friend, Wren. All Lani needs is one chance, one shot, that she has never had, and she’ll become the NEW NXT Women’s Champion.

But Kendal, you had your chance, and you couldn’t win the big one. Lola says aye dios mio! We’ve heard this before, we’re not hearing it again. Lola says here is what they do: Next week, Lani VS Kendal, #1 Contender’s Match, so that no matter what, the winner will face Lola at the Great American Bash! Fine by Kendal! But Lani snatches the belt off Lola! Lola instinctively takes a swing, but Lani ducks, and the URAKEN hits Kendal! Lani grins as she holds up the belt, then tosses it back to Lola. Lani leaves, having knocked Kendal down without even touching her. Will Lani just keep on winning until there’s no denying her that shot at the title?

The narrator explains during this montage that both men are about to compete in the first-ever Mr. NXT Pageant, competing in the following categories: Attire; Talent; and Public Speaking! And while Tristan is trying on suit after suit, Shiloh has a hazmat suit, a clown suit, and a diving suit. Who will dazzle with their looks, their abilities, and their charm to rightfully be called Mr. NXT? The fans will help decide, along with three surprise judges!

Shiloh asks if Tatum thinks any of that was too over the top. Tatum says no, it’s a pageant, absolutely not! Shiloh says he never expected fashion to be so easy! You literally just get dressed and go do it. Tatum knows for sure, Shiloh will win. She just hopes she’ll be able to see it with her title match against Zaria that night. Shiloh says maybe they can ask Mr. Stone when in the show the pageant will be. Speaking of, he has racoon business to attend to. They’re getting into fights with the cats, it’s a whole thing. Shiloh will catch up with her later. Tatum says bye as Shiloh heads out, and Tatum calls for Mr. Stone. But then Zaria CLOBBERS Tatum!

Zaria lifts Tatum up and THRWOS her into the cage! Zaria says Tatum’s days as champion are numbered! Shiloh rushes back in and says get outta here, Zaria! Shiloh calls for help and medics hurry over, will Zaria make sure she becomes champion no matter what?

Mason Rook finds Tony D’Angelo backstage.

The champ says hey to the tank, and he makes a guess: Rook is gonna warn Tony that he’s gonna get involved in the title match later. No, Rook isn’t here to make promises, because we all know it should be Rook’s title match, not Kam’s. Tony says that’s a yes. There is a long line of guys gunning for Tony’s title, and he’ll take them out one by one. Rook says yeah, Tony’s a great champion, and there’s no doubt he’ll beat all of them except one. Tony can guess who that is, and Rook says he’ll still give him a hint: He’s big, he’s bad, and he’ll body- Stone steps in and says he hears all this. He is not having the greatest night tonight, but they’re both gonna want to hear this.

Stone tells Rook that if he wants to be in title contention, then he’ll get his chance. Next week, Rook VS Naraku, 1v1. Rook likes the sound of that. Tony says look, if Rook beats Naraku, then he can cut the line all the way to the front. Tony heads out with title in hand, and Stone warns Rook, do not get involved tonight. Rook says sure thing, Mr. Stone. Rook heads out, and Naraku is in the background. Will the King of Evil be able to take Rook off the board? Or will this be just the thing Rook needs to put Tony in check?

WWE Speed Championship: Lexis King w/ BirthRight VS Romeo Moreno w/ Noam Dar!

The Drama King almost got the night off with how the Speed Tournament had one draw and one close call. But will “The Fastest Man Alive” still make quick work of his challenger tonight? Or will El Freestyle paint a masterpiece and become El Campeon in under five minutes?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who can keep up!

The bell rings, and Lexis offers a handshake? Romeo goes to accept, but then Lexis pie faces him! Romeo gets and and CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Lexis headlocks. Romeo powers up and out, only for Lexis to whip Romeo away. Romeo leaps over, hurdles, then catches Lexis to a roll-up, TWO! DROPKICK! Lexis goes to a corner, Romeo runs up, but Lexis dodges. Lexis comes back, Romeo goes up and over, then GERMAN SUPLEXES! Romeo keeps moving, and he triangle jump MISSILE DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Romeo steps over, LA MAGISTROL, TWO! Lexis fakes high, goes low, but Romeo CHOPS him on the back to deny the takedown!

Natalya finds Jaida Parker in the concourse.

Miss Parker says finally! Look who came to talk. The Queen of Harts says she had no idea calling Jaida “soft” would upset her so much. It didn’t. Jaida beat Nattie’s new little student fair and square, didn’t she? Nattie says Jaida barely managed that. If Layla had a few more sessions in the Dungeon, maybe Layla would’ve won. Honestly, that was less than mediocre. Jaida says she really doesn’t have time for this. Let’s go to the ring, or outside. Nattie says Jaida would suggest that. Nattie doesn’t buy this act, she is not afraid of Jaida, and she sees right through it. Jaida, Nattie has been through everything one can go through in WWE, so she’s not afraid of anything.

Jaida can go around here trying to intimidate everyone else, but Nattie sees right through all of that. She knows Jaida is scared, because Jaida knows that Nattie knows that Jaida IS soft! Nattie leaves, and Hank Walker is nearby. He admits if someone said that stuff to him, he’d cry. Tank Ledger says Nattie was ruthless. Karmen Petrovic tells Nikkita Lyons that honestly, Jaida got what she deserved. Lyons says Jaida shouldn’t dish out what she can’t take. Jaida tries to tune out the high school gossip, but is Nattie right? Is Jaida just putting on an act? Or does she need to show everyone who Miss Parker truly is?

EK checks on Tate in WWE Medical.

EK says he hates to say “I told you so,” but… Keanu Carver walks in, and he says Tate ain’t gonna listen to EK, he ain’t smart enough for that. Tate has four stitches and still went out there. He’s got a death wish. Tate says watch your mouth! He’ll gladly run it back with Keanu. Keanu says Tate better stay down before his jaw ends up wired shut. EK says hold on, Keanu talking crazy. Tate might be reckless, but he has the right idea: someone needs to humble Keanu. Oh, and EK thinks it’ll be him? Might be. Keanu warns EK, keep acting dumb and watch what happens. Keanu storms off, will he and the Disrespectfully Athletic go a round in the ring?

Meanwhile, Kendal & Wren are both here. Wren is getting her leg double-checked but Kendal also has ice on her cheek. Kendal hates that they’re both here right now. Lani might be right, she is just better. Wren says no, that’s not it. But Wren told Kendal that she shouldn’t have had to worry about Wren. Wren keeps getting in the way. Kendal says that’s not true but Wren says c’mon, admit it. And Wren doesn’t want Kendal resenting or regretting any of this. Wren needs to focus on recovery, Kendal needs to focus on beating Lani and getting her shot. Even if it’s without Wren in her corner. But Kendal wants her there.

Wren appreciates that, but Kendal needs to face Lani on her own. Kendal is unsure, but is Wren right? Will Kendal have to soldier ahead alone if she wants to be THE NXT Women’s Champion?

Myles Borne & Tavion Heights VS DarkState!

Well, let’s try this again. The North American Champion and the Olympian want to settle things with DarkState, and with Cutler James down, it is now on Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin to bring the fight. Will someone earn themselves a title opportunity tonight? Or will it feel like the old days for Myles & Heights?

The teams sort out Myles and Dion start, and they tie up. Dion powers Myles to a corner, he grinds his forearm into Myles’ face, then lets off as the ref counts. Myles slips around, headlocks, but Dion powers up and out. Dion RUNS Myles over, but Myles drop toeholds back. Myles headlocks for a takeover, and he grinds Dion down. Dion fights up, only for Myles to hit a headlock takeover again. Dion fights up, rolls to a cover, ONE! Myles keeps on the headlock but Dion headscissors. Myles kips free but both men stand, and Dion ROCKS Myles! Myles ROCKS back, and UPPERCUTS! Myles brings Dion over, tags Tavion, but they kinda mess up the handoff.

Dion kicks Tavion, facelocks Tavion, then he lifts Tavion, only for Tavion to sunset flip! Osiris tags in first, then he covers Tavion, ONE! Tavion mule kicks, BOOTS, and he RAMS Osiris in to a corner! Osiris CLUBS Tavion, Tavion RAMS Osiris, repeat. Tavion whips, Osiris reverses, but Tavion dodges to ENZIGIR! Tavion SMACKS Osiris off buckles, BOOTS him, then he brings Osiris over. Tag to Myles, but then Myles expects a combo while Tavion just steps out. Tavion hurries back in, but Osiris shoves them both away, to then DOUBLE- NO, Tavion & Myles both duck, but Dion sneaks a tag before the DOUBLE DROPKICK!

Dion hurries in, but he gets a DOUBLE HIP TOSS! Then he’s sent into Osiris! Myles & Tavion fire up, but Osiris tags back in! Osiris guzels and RAMS Myles into a corner to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Osiris stops, but Myles kicks low! Myles fires hands but Osiris THROWS Myles back! Osiris then clamps on again, but Myels slips free of teh choke salm! Myles DRPOKICKS Osiris, then LARIATS Osiris and himself up and out! Tavion hurries to check Myles, but Dion runs up to CLOBBER Tavion! Dion helps Osiris up, but Tavion storms over! Tavion THROWS Dion overhead! The fans fire up for Tavion, and NXT goes picture in picture.

Tavion helps Myles up, Myles puts Osiris in the ring, but Osiris DECKS Myles! Osiris scoops to SLAM Myles, then steps on him. Tag to Dion, and Osiris feeds Myles to an ELBOW! Cover, TWO! Dion clamps onto a chinlock and he grinds Myles down. Myles endures, fights up, and Myles fires body shots. But Dion scoops, only for Myles to slip free! EYE OF THE HURRICANE! Cover, TWO! Myles drags Dion over, Tavion tags in, and Myles feeds Dion to the fireman’s carry THRWO! Cover, TWO! Tavion keeps Dion from his corner with an armlock. Dion shoves Myles, Myles ducks ‘n’ dodges, but still runs into a scoop and BACKBREAKER! Dion tags Osiris back in and Osiris ELBOW DROPS Myles on his back! And another ELBOW DROP! Then a VADER BOMB! The distance alone was impressive on that one! Osiris tags Dion and they DOUBLE BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Dion keeps close. Dion drags Myles up, scoops and hits another BACKBREAKER! NXT returns to single picture as Dion covers, TWO! Myles survives and Tavion coaches him to fight, but Dion keeps Myles down with a modified Half Crab. Dion drags Myles back, tags Osiris, and Osiris stomps Myles down.

Osiris drags Myles up, scoops and BACKBREAKERS! Osiris kicks Myles around, talks trash, then he whips Myles to a corner. Osiris runs up but Myles BOOTS him! Myles flounders but Osiris grabs an arm! Myles reaches out, but Osiris reels him in for another BACKBREAKER! Osiris steps on Myles, tags Dion, and Dion KNEES Myles in the side. Dion taunts Myles, dares him to go to Tavion, but Myles fires a body shot! Dion CLUBS Myles, eggs him on, then stomps him down. The fans rally, but Dion grabs a leg. Myles kicks Dion away, crawls, but Dion tags Osiris! CATAPULT into the WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Myles survives, but Osiris tags Dion! Dion and Osiris fire each other up, then Dion intercepts Myles! Dion facelocks to keep Myles from Tavion, but Myles fights up! Dion shifts to a headlock, then back to a facelock, but Myles manages to BACKDROP free! Hot tag to Tavion! The fans fire up as Tavion fires fast hands! Tavion whips Dion, LARIATS, then ELBOWS! Tavion runs to NECKBREAKER DROP! The fans fire up with Tavion as he whips and OVERHEAD SUPLEXES again! Osiris tags in, but Tavion bobs ‘n’ weaves to JUMP PUNCH! Fireman’s carry, and a THROW! Then the GUT WRENCH PLEX!

The teamwork makes the dream work, and when it comes to this pack of wild dogs, Dion & Osiris are more in synch than ever before. As for Myles, he tries to help Tavion up, but Tavion shoves him away! And from the perch, Saquon is watching. Shugars knows Dion & Osiris want after him, but he says he got one already. Will he get the other two soon enough?

NXT Championship: Tony D’Angelo VS Kam Hendrix!

The Don ran NXT, The Vigilante settled a score, and now The Master of Fate is the one holding onto the gold. But in putting this title around his waist, he put a target on his back, and it was the opportunistic upstart from Evolve that gets his shot first. Will it be all about Lights, Kam, Action from now on? Or will Tony show Mr. Showtime that he’s a little early for his fifteen minutes of fame?

NXT returns as Tony D makes his entrance, joining Kam in the ring. And in the crowd, none other than Naraku. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is the master of their own fate!

The bell rings and Kam runs up to SHOWTIME KICK!! Cover, TWO!! Tony survives and Kam is stunned, but he hurries to NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Tony is still in this but Kam hurries to DDT! Cover, TWO!! Tony survives again and Kam has no idea what to make of it! The fans rally as hard as they can for Tony as he sits up, but Kam ROCKS him, then rains down fists! Kam stomps Tony, UPPERCUTS, then whips him corner to corner for a LAIRAT! Kam says he runs this! Kam runs, somersaults, but Tony SPINEBUSTERS first! The fans fire up as Tony then guzels to CHOKE- NO, Kam pops free and bails out!

The fans boo but Tony waits on Kam. Kam storms up to the ring, but Tony SLINGSHOTS him in! Tony fires forearms and CHPOS, then whips for a LARIAT! Tony brings Kam up, whips him to a corner, then runs up to LARIAT! Tony ROCKS Kam, CHOPS him, then CLUBS him. Tony whips but Kam KICKS back! Kam runs up, Tony dodges, and he fireman’s carries for the DEATH VALLEY BOMB! Kam flounders around but Kam clinches him, OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! Tony LARIATS Kam up and out and the fans fire up! Kam flounders, looks to the belt, and he goes to the pedestal, only for Naraku to stand up.

Naraku shakes his head at Kam, Kam is frustrated, and NXT goes picture in picture.

Kam cools off, adjusts his gear, then goes to the ring. Tony waits on Kam, Kam steps in slowly, and the two reset. They circle, then Kam kicks low! Kam whips but Tony reverses. Kam hits buckles hard, then Tony whips him corner to corner harder! Kam falls, Tony covers, TWO! Tony stays close and he grabs a leg. Kam endures the HALF CRAB! Kam crawls, reaches out, but Tony drags him back, and into an STF! Kam endures all over again, and he crawls forward, to the ROPEBREAK! Tony lets go, then storms back up on Kam. Kam uses ropes as defense, but Tony still gets a shot in. Kam goes out and trips Tony up!

Kam drags Tony out and POSTS him! Tony slumps down while Kam snarls. Kam drags Tony up, brings him around, and puts him in the ring. Kam runs up on Tony, LARIATS, then runs again. Kam somersaults for the LEAPING LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Kam is frustrated again as he stomps away on Tony. Kam drags Tony up, but Tony fights with body shots and haymakers! Tonty whips, Kam reverses, and Kam ELBOWS Tony down! Cover, TWO! Kam snarls but he drags Tony into a top wristlock. NXT returns to single picture as Tony endures, and now Naraku is being a bodyguard for the title belt. The fans rally for Tony as he fights up.

Tony pries the hold open, but Kam CLUBS him on the back! Kan suplexes, Tony slips through to roll Kam up, TWO! Kam runs up, Tony ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Kam mule kicks! Kam suplexes Tony for the BROKEN ARROW! Cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Kam is still frustrated but he paces around Tony. Kam says HE runs this, but the fans boo. Kam soaks up the heat, he kicks Tony, but Tony shakes his head. Kam pie faces Tony, Tony stands up, but Kam ROCKS Tony! Tony huffs ‘n’ puffs and the fans fire up! Kam ROCKS Tony again, but Tony just feeds off it! Tony fires hands on Kam now, and he DECKS Kam!

Kam takes a swing, but Tony slips around Kam to GERMAN SUPELX! And another GERMAN SUPLEX! And another GERMAN SUPLEX! Tony whips Kam for the SPINEBUSTER! The fans fire up with Tony, and Tony waits on Kam. Kam stands, Tony kicks and hooks the leg, FOGEDABOUTIT! Cover, TWO! Kam survives but Naraku nods as Tony keeps on him. Tony whips Kam to a corner, then runs up, and he RAMS Kam! Tony whips corner to corner, runs up again, but Kam KNEES Tony back! Then he trips Tony, high stacks, feet on the ropes! The ref sees that and says NOPE! Kam argues with the ref while the fans boo.

Tony gets Kam with a forearm! Then a suplex, for the BROKEN ARROW in return! Cover, TWO! Kam toughs it out but the fans rally for Tony. Tony drags Kam up, whips him to ropes, and SPINE- NO, Kam pops free, then SHOWTIME KICK!! And then a SIT-OUT POWERBOMB!! Cover, TWO!!! Tony survives again and the fans rally up behind him. Kam snarls, rises up, and he ROCKS Tony! Tony ROCKS Kam! They go back and forth, then Kam mule kicks and ROLLING ELBOWS! Tony fires a flurry, a HEADBUTT, but Kam dodges the lariat! Kam kicks, SUPERKICKS, then runs, but into a POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!!

Tony is annoyed with Kam’s toughness, but he follows Kam to the apron. Tony drags Kam up, but Kam HOTSHOTS free! Tony is down, Kam crawls, and Kam looks to the timekeeper’s area. Kam grabs a chair, but Mason Rook steps on it! Kam says man, c’mon! But then Tony BACKDROPS Kam on the desk! Tony puts Kam in the ring, whips, and DEAD TO RIGHTS!! Cover, Tony wins!

Winner: Tony D’Angelo, by pinfall (still NXT Champion)

Kam kept trying to take shortcuts, but it only got him lost! Naraku was a man of his word, and he even hands the belt to Tony to show his respect. But between Naraku and Rook, who will meet Tony D at the Great American Bash?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT, and now that we’re building to Great American Bash, we’ve got a great start to that build. Though, I cannot believe they are seriously putting NXTGAB up against AEW NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28th. Can’t they wait a week and be on the Sunday after Independence Day? Though, I suppose if they’re prerecording SmackDown, meaning no one has to travel that weekend, same goes for that entire weekend. And at the same time, it’s mostly the problem for a fan like myself who insists on watching both AEW and WWE and not being tribalistic.

All that aside, very good promos from Lola, Lani, and the WrenQCC to set up the #1 contender’s match that will when set up the women’s title match for GAB. Lani standing tall makes me think Kendal finds a way to win out, but story wise, it really should be Lani, just to finally have Lola and Lani settle things and have everyone move on. Very good promos from those involved in the NXT Championship story and main event, though Tony could’ve probably let Rook just say his stuff instead of trying to one-up him with sarcastically guessing things. Tony VS Kam was a very good match, one of Kam’s best yet, and good stuff with Naraku and Rook making sure Kam couldn’t cheat. Tony wins, of course, and Naraku VS Rook next week will be a great match that could go either way.

There was a lot of great intertwining between all the stories on NXT through the various promos. Zaria of course beat Lizzy to then get her match with Tatum, and I could just feel Zaria’s attack coming when Shiloh left Tatum alone. That go-home math would say Tatum wins, but maybe Zaria bends the rules to win the title that means so much to her because of her grudge with Sol Ruca. The Mr. NXT Pageant video was pretty fun stuff, and that Mr. NXT Pageant itself will certainly be something interesting. I would think Shiloh wins solely on how the fans and the judges vote for him, and then Tristan will get mad and he will pick a fight with Shiloh to then have a match at Great American Bash.

Good stuff with Culling VS OTM, and a great win for OTM. The Culling is certainly falling apart at the seams, and another loss could tear them apart. Tate Wilder continues this character that wasn’t part of Evolve, but he’s still doing a good job with it. Vanity Project cheating him out of the win was a logical move, and it kinda saves Tate from this “reckless behavior costs him” concept. Good promo from Keanu, Tate, and Prosper, and I would think Keanu beats Prosper. Great Speed Championship match, but I figured Lexis would find a way to win. I feel like Noam Dar needs to get into the Speed tournament and dethrone Lexis as payback for everything way back during their Heritage Cup days.

Powerful promo from Jaida and Nattie with Nattie just tearing into Jaida like that. Though I still stand by that high school drama comment, this happening in front of so many other NXT/Evolve superstars is a bit cliche. Also, no consistency, Karmen and Lyons were getting along making fun of Jaida when Karmen and Lyons are feuding on Evolve. But that aside, this is going to lead to a great match from Jaida VS Nattie, that’s clear. And while Tony got the main event, the main part of the show was DarkState’s new phase. Saquon attacking Cutler was a logical move, though surprisingly early. Myles & Tavion having dysfunction was logical, it’s been a long time since they teamed together. As such, DarkState winning makes sense, and can’t wait to see where the North American title goes.
