#SuperSean hears there’s big news in regards to the NXT Tag Division. Did DVD heard about it? No, he’s been too focused on DarkState. Sean was even the one saying no distractions! Sean knows that, but- But nothing! Whatever it is, they will be part of it. Good point. They just have to handle business first. But then BirthRight steps in, and Uriah Connors says they made it clear last week that they’re on the hunt for the tag titles. Charlie Dempsey knows they saw what happened to Zilla Fatu, right? They’ll do that to anyone that steps to them. Stacks says those tag titles are their top priority, and Lexis King says do us all a favor and stay out of the way. It is their birthright to claim the top position in NXT.

Legacy says they’re not stepping aside for anybody. They want tag gold just as bad as BirthRight. DVD says they’re also not afraid to fight for it. Legacy has DVD stand down for now, because they have a match to go win. Legacy & DVD head out, will they get back on track? Or will Cutler James & Osiris Griffin prove nobody’s safe, even now?

Robert Stone talks with Cruz Montana.

The NXT General Manager says that was a wild Six Man Tag last week, and the Boricua Badass says yeah, it was. He got caught lacking for one minute, and he let his title chance slip away. Now he has to peep the main event. EK Prosper steps in and says he knows Cruz is mad about last week, and EK is, too. It’s on EK that they lost the Triple Threat. Cruz says see, this is why EK is gonna be the face of the brand. Because it ain’t even his fault, and EK is taking accountability. Cruz tells EK that EK doesn’t have to apologize. Then The Vanity Project steps in, and Brad Baylor immediately asks about this tag team division rumor.

Ricky Smokes says whatever plan he has, Stone needs to run it by the champions first. Stone says that he just said the tag division was taking off. Yeah, and that’s thanks to The Vanity Project. Cruz says let the man talk. Smokes says sorry, did they interrupt Cruz asking for a title shot for the tenth time? EK says they need to watch themselves. Cruz says it’s fine, because he’ll slap the fire outta all three of them. Second of all, all he hears is noise because the toughest person in their crew is Myka. And third, Cruz was winning tag titles around the world while these boys were still suckling on- Stone has them stop there, let’s not fight in his office.

Vanity Project is upset, asks if Cruz wants to go. Cruz says actually, he does want a match. Cruz and EK link up to put hands on these fools. Stone says he likes that for tonight! The tag team champions stuck their feet in their mouths, will Cruz & EK prosper as a duo tonight? Or will Brad & Smokes swipe right on another victory?

The teams sort out and Legacy starts against Cutler. The bell rings, Cutler runs up, and he clinches Legacy for an OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! Zilla wants to walk around and act like he’s the hottest thing in NXT, until BirthRight dropped his ass! Stacks hopes every division was watching that, because BirthRight is putting everyone on notice! But it starts with the tag teams! Dempsey says they’re gonna keep putting people in the ground until they get the attention and the championships they deserve!

That starts with these two! BirthRight goes after Legacy & DVD! The fans boo as they mug DVD & Legacy, put them in the ring, and keep it going! But here comes Zilla Fatu! The Main One DECKS Lexis, DECKS Dempsey, then Uriah, then Stacks, and repeat! Then he DECKS Lexis again! Dempsey jumps on Zilla, but Legacy DECKS Stacks! DVD is after Uriah! The fans fire up as  DVD BOOTS Uriah to then TOSS him! Legacy TOSSES Stacks, and Zilla THROWS Dempsey off! TRIPLE Z!! The fans fire up as Zilla stands tall with Legacy & DVD! “Last week was the biggest win of my career. And they might not have liked how I did it, but the game’s the game, so Saquon and Tony, you can thank me for being here tonight. But tonight’s not about them. Tonight’s about a kid from Worksop, England, a small town of less than 50 thousand people, who’s now just one shot away from an NXT Championship match. Now, you don’t need to be an Oxford grad to realize I’ve had an uphill battle in wrestling since the very first moment I stepped in the ring. But I love this, I love proving people wrong, whether that’s the UK or Japan. Everywhere I’ve gone, I’ve had to learn to be tough.

“As a matter of fact, it was just this time last year I was on tour with Pro-Wrestling Noah that I ripped my ankle ligament clean off the bone. I could’ve thrown in the towel, I could’ve gone home, but I didn’t. I finished the tour, and I hopped on the plane to my WWE tryout in America, and I earned my WWE contract. You can call me the underdog, but either way, I am smack bang in the middle of this NXT title picture. And tonight, I’m gonna leave every ounce of energy I have in that ring, and I’m gonna walk out the new #1 contender to the NXT title.” The Tank is ready to roll, but will Rook be putting everyone in check?

Robert Stone talks with Skylar Raye.

He doesn’t get it, she is the last person he would have to have this conversation with. What was she thinking? Skylar says he’s seen what she’s done on Evolve, but she’s still waiting for her opportunity on NXT. She got his attention now, right? Yes, but- Myles Borne steps in and says he’s about to head to the ring for his apology to Tavion Heights. Myles isn’t sure if Tavion will be willing to talk, but does Myles have time to try? Stone says yes, he has all the time he needs. Myles thanks Stone for that then heads to gorilla. Will Tavion hear Myles out? Will Skylar get what she wants by any means necessary?

Zaria is in WWE Medical.

The doc is checking the big bruise on her bicep and asks if it hurts. She says it doesn’t. Then her elbow’s good? Yes. The doc says she’s medically cleared as tolerated, but just try to take it easy. Zaria says she already said she’s fine. She won’t let some pipsqueak like Thea Hail put her out of action. Izzi Dame steps in and asks how the most powerful woman on the roster, the self-proclaimed most dominant Women’s North American Champion, gets hurt by Thea Hail? Zaria asks what Izzi’s problem is, and Izzi says she doesn’t have one. But she does ask the doc if people are born wicked, or is it thrust upon them?

Izzi then leaves, and Zaria storms off. The It Girl is trying to push Zaria’s buttons, but will it work? Or will she just come to regret it?

Myles Borne is in the ring.

NXT returns as Myles is already there, mic in hand. Myles says, “I got a lot that I need to get off my chest tonight. I need to talk to my brother, so Tavion, if you could come out here so I can apologize to you face-to-face, man to man.” Tavion’s music hits, and he indeed makes his way to the ring. Tavion steps into the ring, mic in hand, and Myles says that he really appreciates Tavion coming out here. After last week, Myles wasn’t sure he would. Tavion tells Myles that they’ve been through a lot. Brothers fight, they know that. But what Myles did in Texas… He crossed a line. Myles says he knows that, he jumped the gun.

Myles lost his title, they lost the tag titles, and Myles was emotional. Tavion said over and over that he didn’t know what he’d do if they lost the tag titles. Myles saw the way Tavion was looking, so what was Myles to think? We’ve seen it happen among friends in WWE, so Myles didn’t wanna be the one caught slacking. In that moment, Myles acted out of fear. He was paranoid! Myles isn’t proud of what he did, he isn’t trying to justify it, he just wants Tavion to see where he’s coming from. Myles wants Tavion to hear him when he says he is sorry. He truly is. Tavion says he appreciates the apology, but Tavion’s back is still sore from where Myles stabbed it.

Is Tavion to ignore that? Is he to think everything’s good and dandy just because Myles says, “Sorry?” No, look at the predicament Myles is putting Tavion in! Myles said that friendships don’t last, that Myles had to get Tavion but Tavion got Myles. But then again, here Myles is, telling Tavion to trust him after he kicked Tavion while he was down! Tavion lost his first championship that he ever won here! He didn’t have his brother, he didn’t have his best friend. He had no one! That’s not just something you can forget. And as much as Tavion wants to, to go back when it’s just him and his dawg, tossing people on their necks…

Tavion thinks that time might have passed. Myles says he gets it. Did Tavion forget that Myles was in the same shoes after The Great American Bash? Tavion says Myles literally attacked Tavion! That was different! Was it, though? Tavion forced Myles to defend his title against Tavion, and then said he’d been a bad brother. That he was so concerned about his own interests that he didn’t think about how it’d affect Myles. Tavion said that he wanted to prove he could have Myles’ back and that Myles could trust Tavion. What’d Myles do? He ran out here, him and Tavion whooped up on Vanity Project, and he welcomed Tavion with open arms, and forgave him.

Then they went and won the NXT Tag Team Championships! They had the world in the palm of their hands. Myles & Tavion both know that together, no one can stop them. And no one can take away those good memories. Dammit… What was Myles thinking? Myles is not proud of what he did, and he knows Tavion can relate to jumping the gun without thinking about the consequences. But Myles simply asks Tavion do for him what Myles did for Tavion. Myles asks they put this behind them, that they start over fresh. Tavion, Myles is asking you forgive him. Tavion says maybe he was too focused on his own situation and didn’t see the position he put Myles in.

Maybe Tavion planted seeds of doubt. And this is the most success either of them have had. Myles says it is! They need to learn to balance success and not let it overshadow their friendship. They gotta learn how to do this together. Myles can’t take back what he did, but he still loves Tavion as a brother. He’s sorry. Myles offers a hug, the fans aren’t sure, but neither is Tavion. Tavion tries to speak, but he isn’t sure what to say. Then he says he forgives Myles! Let’s get this rolling again! Myles & Tavion against the world! In front of the people and the entire WWE Universe! Myles is his dog for life! They hug it out and the fans cheer.

But then BORNE AGAIN!! Myles rains down fists! He suckered Tavion in, and he THROWS him out of the ring! The fans boo as Myles then goes and THRWOS Tavion through barriers! Myles then puts Tavion back in the ring, and he goes looking under the ring. Myles grabs a chair! The fans boo, but then Myles puts the chair around Tavion’s foot! AND STOMPS IT!!! Tavion writhes and shouts in agony! The fans boo as Myles stands over Tavion, but refs rush out here to get him to leave. Myles has truly gone to the dark side with how he set this trap! But just how far is he willing to go to make himself the only star in NXT?

Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair visit the Evolve Health Clinic.

Not to be confused with WWE’s Wednesday night show, Kendal & Wren are here visiting with Dr. Smith for further evaluation. Kendal asks if she’s ready to get back in the ring, but Dr. Smith says to slow down and simply take a seat. Kendal sits, and Dr. Smith asks how Kendal is feeling. Kendal says she won’t lie, she’s anxious, has had dizzy moments, but she’s fine to get back in the ring, trust her. Dr. Smith says that’s from her physical trauma, affecting her head, ear, throwing off her equilibrium and entire vestibular system. Wren asks what that means. Dr. Smith says Kendal is not on concussion protocol because she doesn’t have a concussion.

However, her body is sending mixed responses, affecting her vertigo. But Kendal’s not used to sitting at home, doing nothing. This whole process is so hard for her. Do they have a timeline for getting back in the ring? Training? Anything? Dr. Smith understands Kendal is anxious, but they don’t have a timeline at this point. Her body just needs time to rest. And yet, that’s when Kendal took multiple hits, which has prolonged her recovery. Wren says this is what happens when you try and take care of Kelani. Wren gets suspended, Kendal gets hurt! Dr. Smith is sorry to say this, but Kendal will not be cleared, and recommends a sports psychologist for Kendal’s mental health.

Kendal thanks Dr. Smith, but it’s still frustrating. Will Kendal be able to get back into the ring again before the year is over? Will she get back in the ring at all?

The Boricua Badass & Disrespectfully Athletic both wanted after the NXT Championship, but they might just take down the NXT Tag Team Champions together. Will things turn around for Cruz & EK? Or will Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes steal another one with some help from their friends?

Brad RUNS EK over, then swivels the hips. Brad runs, but EK trips him! EK swivels the hips and the fans cheer! EK runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, Brad drops down and hurdles over, but EK DROPKICKS! EK swaggers, then he runs up, but Brad ELBOWS him away! Brad brings EK up, whips him to a corner, but EK Tiger Wall Jumps over Brad, to then DROPKICK him down again! Cover, TWO! Brad is tougher than that but EK wrenches and wristlocks.

EK tags Cruz but Brad runs away real fast to tag Smokes! Smokes runs up, dodges, and fires fast hands! Cruz SHOVES Smokes, RAMS him, but Smokes snarls. Smokes runs, RAMS Cruz, and Smokes is the one that staggers! Smokes fires himself up, but then kicks low! Smokes says he’s too smart, then he whips Cruz, only for Cruz to reverse it. Cruz runs up and CHOPS Smokes in the corner! The fans fire up as Cruz whips and CHOPS again! The fans fire up again, Cruz whips a third, but Smokes dodges. Cruz shoves Smokes to the corner. Smokes goes up an dover, but Cruz rolls back to CUTTER! The fans fire up, Cruz covers, TWO! Cruz whips Smokes to the corner, tags EK, and ELBOWS Smokes! Feed to EK for the scoop and SLAM! EK then sets up and Cruz steps up, ASSISTED STANDING MOONSAULT! The fans cheer while Smokes bails out, but here comes Brad! Smokes stomps Cruz, sits him up, and clamps on with a chinlock. The fans rally as Cruz endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Smokes CLUBS Cruz, then BLASTS EK off the apron! The fans boo but Smokes goes back to Cruz. Cruz flips over to victory roll! TWO, and both men stand! Cruz mule kicks, then reels Smokes in! Smokes slips free of the bomb, ducks the enzigiri, then runs, but Cruz dodges! Smokes hurdles, but into a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! The fans fire up while both men are down! Both men crawl, reach out, hot tags to Brad and EK! The fans fire up as EK springboards to DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICK!

The fans boo but then the ref notices Drake bragging. The ref storms over, he knows Drake & Myka had something to do with this, so he EJECTS them!! The fans fire up while Drake & Myka freak out! EK runs up on Smokes, Smokes rolls him up, TWO! Smokes SMACKS EK! EK ROUNDHOUSES Smokes! Smokes dodges EK in the corner, backslides, and Brad holds EK in place!! Backstage interview with Saquon Shugars.

Emily Agard is with The Sugar Man and notes it’s quite the night with the Triple Threat main event, Shugars VS Tony D VS Mason Rook. Shugars asks why Tony’s talking about weak ass history. What is that history? Shugars remembers! Stand & Deliver, Las Vegas, biggest show of the year, and Tony D was looking up at Saquon Shugars. And then Mason Rook, “The Human Septic Tank.” If they could come up with enough butter to slide him through the door, then he can meet the same fate as Tony. Then everyone will know that Shugars is up next, they’re up never, and- Tristan Angels interrupts!

“Order, order, order. Why do I do it, hey? Why do I shower and do my hair, and have a championship worthy physique when Zilla Fatu walks around here, thinking he has lived a life worthy of being a champion? Mason Rook thinks he looks like one, and you… Well, you can’t even get dressed properly!” Saquon fixes his vest while Tristan says the fact of the matter is, Tristan Angels is championship material, and they are all a class below. Shugars says he’s ordering Tristan now. How is Tristan hatin’ from outside the club? He ain’t even supposed to be here today! So how about this? Go home, turn on the telly, and watch Shugars win the world title.

Then Tristan will learn exactly what type of material Shugars is, because he’s up next, you up never, and it don’t get no sweeter than that. Shugars heads out, will he be the one tasting sweet victory tonight? Or will it be bitter defeat?

The fans are torn seeing The Standout go to the ring. She gets the mic to say, “I should’ve known when I won this championship on my first try, just like all of my other titles, that I was setting a new standard for what it means to be NXT Women’s Champion. And as much as I should be, I don’t wanna be a champion that posts pictures and posts their ass on Instagram, which is why I put my title on the line just one week after winning it against Jaida Parker, and I retained it! Now, I know that put a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths, but I’m not like other WWE champions. I actually put my money where my mouth is, and I prove why I’m The Standout every single time.

“But in that moment, when I successfully defended my title and had my title and my hand raised up high… Another woman wanted to make that moment about herself. Oh, hi, Wren! How’d that work out for you? You stepped outta line, you got suspended, and you wanna know what I did? I debuted on Monday Night Raw in Mexico City!” The fans boo, but Lani says that’s one less person to worry about. And she could ask who’s next. But let’s be real, no one is coming for this title. Not Sidekick Sinclair, not Kendal Grey, not a woman in that locker room, because they’re all way too intimidated to step up. So get used to seeing this title on my shoulder, because it’s not going anywhere.

“I’m not just holding it, I’m setting the standard for it. And no one is doing it like Lani.” But wait! Here comes La Catalina, the NEW AAA Reina de Reinas Champion! The fans fire up for Catalina as she goes to the ring, her own belt on her shoulder and a mic in her hand. Lani is upset, but Catalina says, “Hey, hey, hey, wow~! Felicidades, congratulations, Kelani. Bravo for her, huh? It’s hard not to notice your rise to the top. But… You are not the only sitting and new ‘Rompedora’ in WWE. At TripleMania, I won the Reina de Reinas Championship.” The fans cheer that! Catalina says now, she is here and is going to take Women’s Wrestling to the next level!

The fans cheer again, and Lani says respectfully- WAIT! Zaria makes her way out here! She says these two can talk about standards all they want, but if we’re talking about dominant champions… The name “Zaria” better be in the conversation. Because she doesn’t see either of them unifying titles. Catalina asks about Thea. Zaria says of course she brings that up. Yes, Thea made Zaria tap, but guess what? That was a fluke! There was a lot happening with Izzi, and like Lani said, there’s always someone interrupting Zaira’s moment. Lani says no, this is HER moment, why’re they interrupting? But then Thea Hail joins in!

The fans cheer as #DAD asks they all shut up! It is about time someone talked about Thea! Behind the happiness, the energy, and the innocence, the truth is, she can hang with anyone in the ring, and you all know it! It is easy to count Thea out, but everyone here knows she can go! These people have watched Thea grow up. She may be the youngest in the ring, but she is absolutely finding her footing. And she has proved that Thea Hail is championship material! She tapped out THE NXT Women’s North American Champion, and now Thea just has to do it in a match to become a TWO-TIME NXT Women’s North American Champion!

Zaria throws a punch! The brawl is on! The fans fire up as Thea trades shots with Zaria while Catalina is after Lani! Lani and Zaria shove Catalina and Thea, but they both dodge to come back! Thea jumps onto Zaria’s arm, Catalina scoops Lani, but Lani fights free while Zaria shoves Thea away! Thea still DROPKICKS Zaria down, and Catalina DROPKICKS Lani! Then Thea & Catalina double up on the HIP ATTACKS! The fans fire up as Catalina joins Thea in on the dance! But will they both look to take over NXT? Or will Lani & Zaria make sure no one dethrones them any time soon?

Tony D’Angelo speaks.

“People don’t change. Not really. Not deep down. See, we carry our past with us. And nobody knows that better than me. Which is why I’m glad I get to face off against Saquon and Mason on my way back to my title. Saquon, his old crew destroyed a part of who I was. And when I got back to NXT, they were the first ones to meet me at the door. Now Saquon, he might be on his own, but he’s still that vicious little rat that was gnawing at my old shell. And Mason, he screwed up first day on the job, trying to earn his stripes by taking me out. The second I saw me up on his shoulders last week, I knew he was the same opportunist.

“They never change, but neither do I! Tony D’Angelo is still the same man, too. The toughest SOB walking in NXT, and the once and future N X T Champion!” The Master of Fate is ready to take things back into his hands, but will he be able to defy the odds like he has before?

Shiloh Hill vlogs.

“What’s going on, guys? So, with all the threats I’ve been getting from Naraku, and even my HOA, actually, regarding my experiments looking into the poison mist, I figured it’d probably be best if I stopped, but… That doesn’t mean I’m gonna! We’re back in the lab, baby, and I’m learning a ton about these mists! Specifically, I’m learning a ton about the effect that each color has. Now first I got hit with the red one, which definitely burned, but it didn’t last too long. Then I got a bunch of the green one in my eyes off of Naraku’s hand, and it stung super bad. It also made my eyes water and gave me blurry vision for a couple of days.

“I was able to do a couple different experiments on it, and I think what’s causing it is acetic acid. The next one I’m testing today is this orange one right here. Now what I’ve heard is that this one supposedly has an impact on vision, in addition to I guess making you kinda… drowsy. There’s even rumors that it can make you… hallucinate. I tested its pH, and I believe the impact on vision comes from its acidity, which I was able to neutralize out in this sample right here. So now that the acidity is neutralized out, I feel confident enough to test it on myself! Here we go!” Shiloh indeed holds up the bottle of inert orange mist, and uses a spray bottle to apply it!

Shiloh takes a couple breaths and a couple blinks, reporting that there is no stinging and no blinding. No taste. His skin feels fine. For the most part, he feels normal. Wait are his eyes the right color? And then a voice says, “Psst! Shiloh!” Who said that? A raccoon! How’d he get in here? Wait, many raccoons. They claim he let them in. Oh, right. He’s just testing mist. Cool. A third raccoon says Naraku warned him, but Shiloh says yeah, but this one’s not doing anything. Is he sure about that? Yeah, man, he’s not feeling anything. Well, maybe this one wasn’t crazy. He’s got a few more colors to try out, let him know which one you wanna see next. Or maybe he should take a break?

The raccoons claim that yes, he should rest, don’t work so hard. Shiloh thanks them, and signs off. Well, Shiloh’s certainly… learning things… But will he just do himself in before Naraku gets the chance?

Backstage interview with Robert Stone.

Emily Agard is now with the NXT GM to bring up the incredible tag team matches tonight. That brings her to the question, Stone said he has something in the works for the tag division, does he have any updates on that? Stone says that at Heatwave, he wanted to enhance the division. He has done that by bringing The Creed Brothers back, and we’ve seen all the teams really stepping up in the ring. That is why Stone is so excited to officially announce that we’re bringing back the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic! Seriously? That’s amazing! Yes, a total of 14 teams, from across AAA, NXT, Evolve, and even main roster.

When does it start? The brackets will be announced later this week via social media, but the first round is next Tuesday. We’re getting started right away. The Creeds step in and Julius says they appreciate this. First, Stone feels the need for Creeds, then he brings back the Dusty Cup, we’re reliving all the classics. And now, everyone wants to know: Can the team that won it in 2022 win it again in 2026? Brutus says who they got up first? Some Evolve newbies? Some old friends? Who is it? Stone says wait until the brackets are announced, just like everyone else.

Julius says it doesn’t matter anyway. When we’re talking Dusty Rhodes Classic, there’s only one team that will be the first-ever TWO-TIME winners, and it’ll be The Creeds! The Creeds thank Stone, Stone says he looks forward to the competition. Who gets in and who will get knocked out in the first round?

NXT returns as Rook makes his entrance to join Tony and Shugars in the ring. The bell rings, Tony gets in Rook’s face, they argue, but Shugars brings up how they were talking trash on each other. Rook and Tony both shove Shugars, then Rook HEADBUTTS Shugars! Tony ROCKS Shugars, then he and Rook DOUBLE LARIAT Shugars up and out! Rook then scoops Tony! Tony slips free, shoves Rook into Shugars, then Tony ducks a lariat to waistlock. They go to ropes, knock Shugars back down, and Tony O’Conner Rolls! TWO, and Tony BLASTS Shugars! Tony ducks ‘n’ dodges Rook to TACKLE him! The fans fire up with Tony as he storms around.

Tony builds speed and he DIVES onto Rook on the outside! Not the best hit, but Shugars rallies the fans. Shugars builds speed and DIVES into a forearm from Tony! Tony gets in, Shugars RANAS and rains down fists! Tony pushes Shugars away but Shugars comes back. Shugars turns Tony, Tony powers free, and Shugars WRECKS Rook with a dropkick! Shugars slips around Tony, REVERSE JAWBREAKEAR, then the NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Tony toughs it out but Shugars storms up. Tony scoops, but Shugars slips free. Shugars fights, flails, reaches out, and he waistlocks Rook! Tony definitely can’t lift both, and Rook ELBOWS Shugars before he BOOTS Tony! Tony waistlocks Rook, and then Rook waistlocks Shugars! Wait, Tony’s trying after all! DOUBLE GERMAN SUPLEX!! Shugars goes flying away, Tony covers Rook, TWO! Rook survives but the fans are still wrapping their heads around that Double German! All three men are down, and we get a picture in picture as Grayson Waller finishes his cardio on the treadmill. The fans all cheer for “NXT! NXT!” while NXT goes picture in picture.

All three men stir while the ref checks on them. They’re all able to continue as Rook rolls out, Tony goes to a corner, and Shugars goes to ropes. Tony TOSSES Shugars out, but Shugars RAMS into Tony! Shugars slingshots up and over to sunset flip, TWO! Tony stands to LARIAT Shugars! Rook is up but Tony BLASTS him off the apron! Tony goes back to Shugars, POSTS him, and Shugars slumps to the apron. Tony goes outside, looks under the ring, and he brings out a chair. But Shugars AX HANDLES Tony down! Shugars takes the chair for his own, sets it up, and he reels Tony in! Tony fights the suplex, fires body shots, and he ROCKS Shugars!

Shugars takes a seat, Tony dodges Rook, Rook BOOTS Shugars out of the chair! Tony CLUBS Rook, puts him in the ring, but Rook kicks low! Rook runs, but into a SLEEPER! Tony holds on tight, then hops on to be a backpack! Rook fades, drops to a knee, but he gets a second wind! Rook rises up, but Shugars runs in! Shugars jumps on, and he has Tony in a SLEEPER! Tony struggles to hold onto Rook as Shugars squeezes tight, but then Rook stands up for them both! The ref checks, Rook powers up to RAM Tony and Shugars into a corner! Rook THROWS Tony away, then runs to CROSSBODY as NXT returns to single picture! Rook covers, TWO!

Rook scoops Tony, Tony slips free, and he shoves Rook at Shugars. Shugars ROCKS Rook first, Tony ROCKS Rook, then Shugars BOOTS Rook! Tony headlocks, fires hands, but Shugars goes up to FLYING SUNSET FLIP! This sends Tony FLYING with a back suplex, and Shugars high stacks Rook! TWO!! Shugars watches Tony and Rook as the fans rally up. Shugars stomps Rook, kicks him to ropes, then goes for Tony. Shugars CLUBS Tony, short arm LARIATS, then goes back to Rook. But Rook DUMPS Shugars out! Shugars skins the cat while Rook storms up on Tony. Tony fires hands on Rook, whips him, but Rook reverses.

Shugars jumps over Tony to send him tumbling out, then he dodges Rook to put him on the ropes! Shugars hits a SLIDING ATTACK DROPKICK COMBO! Then Shugars hurries to slingshot LEG DROP on Rook! Cover, TWO! Rook survives, Shugars says he’s going up! Shugars goes for the corner but Rook anchors him. Rook has a foot, but Shugars swings. Rook ducks the punch but not the BOOT! Shugars then runs up, but Rook dodges! Tony LARIATS Shugars, Rook SPLASHES! Tony spins Rook around, but Rook wrenches through to ROCK him! Rook scoops Rony, Tony drops into the victory roll, TWO!

They go back and forth, harder and harder, then they DOUBLE LARIAT! They stay up so they DOUBLE LARIAT again! Rook throws hands, Tony bobs ‘n’ weaves, and Tony JUMP KNEES Rook! Tony runs up to LARIAT Rook and himself up and out of the ring! The fans fire up as Tony rises up. Tony runs, but Rook dodges him! Tony avoids hitting the steps, but then Rook scoops! Tony slips free, and Shugars is on the corner! Tony scoops Rook?! Shugars FLYING DOUBLE STOMPS, and that sends Tony and Rook down onto the chair!

Shugars hurries to get Tony up and in the ring. Shugars hurries to the corner, goes up, but Rook trips Shugars up! Shugars falls, Rook runs corner to corner! CANNONBALL on Tony! But Shugars is back! FLYING DDT!! Rook is down, Shugars drags Tony to a drop zone, and Shugars goes up! SUGAR SPLASH!! Cover, but TRISTAN yanks the ref out?! The fans boo Mr. England for being a spoiler, but Shugars PLANCHAS onto Tristan! Tristan and Shugars brawl, but that leaves Rook and Tony alone! Tony dodges Rook, DEAD TO- NO! The bad back won’t let him lift all that! Rook gets Tony up, BLUE THUNDER BOMB!

My Thoughts:

A great NXT, especially to follow up a great weekend in WWE and AAA. Also great to hear that we’re finally getting the Dusty Cup back, though 14 teams is an interesting number. I wonder if a handful of teams get a first round bye based on past accomplishments. The Creeds are of course excited to be in it, and I’m sure they will go far. As such, we got great tag matches tonight, but it’s a bit sad that both Heel teams had to use the numbers game to win, it always gets old and tired very fast. BirthRight had a good promo with Legacy & DVD, and good stuff with Zilla Fatu making the save, that’s clearly a Six Man Tag to help build someone’s momentum for the Dusty Cup.

Really good opening from Kali VS Lizzy, and solid win for Kali just from being a dominant force. She probably could get into a title scene, but for now, it seems the titles are spoken for. Very good promo from Lani to then give us the WWE/NXT return of La Catalina. Long time viewers will remember she was once Carolina, Catalina, and Katrina Cortez back in 2019 through 2021. But now that she’s back as AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, it seems she and Kelani might face off at Worlds Collide in Chicago, and we’ll certainly get something from Zaria and Thea, too, though maybe separate from Worlds Collide since that’s meant to be a WWE-AAA crossover.

Good little promo from Kendal, Wren and “Dr. Smith” to help explain more of Kendal’s time away. Good promo from Shiloh, and of course they pulled the gag of “I’m totally (not) fine.” Though, WWE needs to realize, we wouldn’t see his weird raccoon hallucinations, those wouldn’t be captured on camera. But either way, we’re one step closer to some kind of mist match with Shiloh and Naraku, we’ll certainly get one more vlog promo like this before then. Good promo from Myles and Tavion, but they were kinda losing the fans with the melodrama of it. They probably could’ve trimmed down how much each guy had to say and still get to the twist that Myles was indeed lying through his teeth just so he could beat up Tavion. They might have the first NXT Unsanctioned/Lights Out match in a long time.

And very good promos from Tony, Rook and Shugars tonight, and I suppose Tristan interrupting Shugars’ time should’ve been a sign that he’d be interfering in the match. I guess Tristan VS Shugars is going to be a feud to keep Shugars busy since Rook is now challenging Waller. That’s going to be a great match, but it’s hard to say if Waller retains (even if he has to cheat hard to do it), or they actually go and have Rook win the title already. WWE really needs to be unpredictable these days, just like Sami Zayn winning on SmackDown. Plus, wouldn’t it be great if Waller got humbled already? Why drag this out until Tony or Cruz finally gets at him?
