Triple H returns to Raw!

The Game was victorious against The Animal in their No Holds Barred Wrestlemania match, and now he’s back as the COO! HHH gets Des Moines fired up as he picks up the mic. Because here comes Seth Rollins! Iowa’s own is here to #BurnItDown! Rollins stands with HHH in the ring and says, “This whole thing is too surreal for me, man.” To be standing in the ring, in his home state, after everything he and the fans have been through together, it’s unreal. HHH shakes hands with Rollins, and Rollins reviews how he was in the fight of his life at Wrestlemania. Rollins Slayed the Beast to bring the title home! Fans chant “Welcome Home!” to make it complete.

HHH agrees, Rollins walked in the Kingslayer and came out the certified BEASTSLAYER! Rollins did what he said when he stepped in the ring, stomped “bucket head” Brock Lesnar three times, then walked out THE WWE Universal Champion! And now Rollins stands in his home state (pause to hear the fans cheer again) but now with a new landscape. The Superstar Shake-Up changes everything. Rollins as Universal Champion and measuring stick has the whole world gunning for him. And Rollins knows that. Money in the Bank is coming, but if anyone knows a thing or two about that contract, it’s Rollins. He cashed it in and changed his career, but also had it cashed in on him. Rollins promises he won’t let Mr. MITB get the drop on him again.

HHH warns Rollins not to put the cart before the horse. Don’t worry about who wins that contract, be worried about who he defends against that same night. Did Heyman blow up HHH’s phone to get a rematch for Lesnar? No, surprisingly. Heyman hasn’t said a thing since Mania, and Lesnar must be licking his wounds. Then what’s next? That’s what tonight will determine! Because “the best of the best” are on Raw and will compete into two Triple Threats to then move on to a main event match. The winner of that goes on to Money in the Bank to face Rollins for the Universal Championship. Rollins likes the sound of that. But here comes one of those contenders, it’s Samoa Joe!

The current WWE United States Champion says “It seems I missed my invitation.” Joe reminds us that he does what he wants when he wants. And tonight, the champion has arrived! Joe admits, Becky Lynch came up with a real interesting concept of double champion. Joe has room for one more belt, “and that would be yours”, Rollins. But here comes another of the contenders, Rey Mysterio! The King of Lucha tells Joe that he’s not the only one wanting to make an impact. As for Rollins, Rey isn’t here just to drop knowledge. He’s here for a dream match. After tonight, at Money in the Bank, Rey VS Rollins. But yet another contender appears! It’s Drew McIntyre!

The Scottish Terminator makes himself clear. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks they deserve, McIntyre cleaned up Raw yet has had no title opportunities! This is DREW’S time! What was it HHH said? Rollins is the measuring stick here? The only reason Rollins is champion is because he got to Lesnar before McIntyre. Everyone knows what McIntyre is capable of. McIntyre promises to win his Triple Threat, go to MITB, beat Rollins and finally be Universal Champion! But now we get The Miz! The Hollywood A-Lister says that first and foremost, he’s back! And the more things change the more they stay the same, because Miz and Rollins are on the same brand and Rollins has something Miz wants. Miz has had a reboot thanks to the “Best in the World”.

This is not the same Miz as before, because he has seen the light. Miz can be a man worthy of the title. And what more must-see match for MITB than Rollins VS Miz?! But now we get Baron Corbin, who wants everything to stop right here. Corbin puts this in perspective for everyone: he is the most deserving of all to challenge Rollins. At Wrestlemania, Rollins slayed the beast, but Corbin retired a legend. McIntyre didn’t beat a gold medalist in his farewell match. Miz didn’t beat a gold medalist in his farewell match. Mysterio didn’t, either. But finally, here comes the Phenomenal One! He leaves the House that AJ Styles Built but looks just fine being on Raw.

And after hearing the fans cheer for him, Styles asks if Corbin ever shuts up. Because c’mon. Corbin’s face is almost as annoying as his voice. And speaking of annoying, it seems like everyone forgets Styles is Raw! Including Rollins. Styles promises to win his triple threat, then bet the other winner, and Raw will realize why SmackDown was the House that AJ Styles Built. But to that point, this is Raw, so Styles promises to give the fans what they’ve always wanted: Rollins VS Styles for the Universal Championship! HHH looks to Rollins, and Rollins sees what HHH meant. Everyone guns for the champ. Rollins is ready. It doesn’t matter who it is at MITB, because this is Seth Freakin’ Rollins, who will BURN IT DOWN! Mic drop from the champ, but who will make it through the special double header to be his contender?

WWE Universal Championship #1 Contender Qualifier Triple Threat: AJ Styles VS Rey Mysterio VS Samoa Joe!

A match worthy of any title, the Phenomenal, the King of Lucha and the Destroyer fight for just the first step towards Rollins and Money in the Bank. Who backs up their words with actions?

Raw returns with the bell and all three men circle. Joe quickly headbutts Mysterio then brawls with Styles. Joe knees low then kicks Styles while he’s down. Mysterio returns and enziguris Joe, but Styles hits Mysterio, too. Styles whips Mysterio corner to corner hard then goes back after Joe with a forearm. Mysterio boots Styles then uses Styles to alley-oop to huricanrana Joe out! Now Styles and Mysterio are alone as they circle. Fans duel for these fan favorites as they approach. All three men are down but Mysterio and Styles go after each other. Mysterio CHOPS then kicks Styles, then whips. Styles reverses but Mysterio kicks him back. Mysterio runs and wheelbarrows for a bulldog! Mysterio sees Joe coming and trips him into the ropes! Fans fire up as Mysterio dials it up, but Joe bails out. So Mysterio springboards and corkscrews to take Joe down! Mysterio hurries up to a corner, climbs, but Styles stop shim.

Styles climbs up from the outside but Mysterio fights him off. Mysterio wants a superplex but Styles denies him. Joe hurries up and in, and gets both men for a SUPER DOUBLE BACK DROP! All three men are down but Des Moines are fired up! “This is Awesome!” but far from over. Joe crawls to cover Mysteiro, TWO. Joe crawls to cover Styles, TWO! He tries Styles again, TWO! Naomi VS Billie Kay w/ Peyton Royce!

Iowa loves to #BurnItDown with Rollins, but will they #FeelTheGlow as Naomi goes against one half of the IIconics?

Raw returns as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions make their entrance. They say that what Naomi did last week can be summed up in a few words: “Thank you, next.” That song from that singer obsessed with them. Who is it? Trenta? Venti? Grande! Ariana, that is. This is why they’re the champions. Billie has Peyton’s back and Peyton has Billie’s. But who has Naomi’s? Bayley’s on SmackDown! Bayley said no to the glow! The IIconics laugh at their own joke, but they tell Naomi she’s living in the past if she thinks she can beat the future! And the future is… IICONIC! Strike the pose. The IIconics may say that now, but will Naomi show them what she can do solo?

The bell rings and Billie boots Naomi right down! She also throws Naomi around then covers, ONE! Billie keeps on Naomi with a grounded abdominal stretch. Billie claws Naomi’s face but the referee reprimands her. Naomi endures and fights her way up, only to get a knee. Naomi roundhouses back then lariats Billie down! She adds an elbow and a running jawbreaker, then a SLAP! Billie is furious but runs into Naomi’s headlock. Peyton gets up on the apron, Naomi gets both IIconics with the bulldog! Slingshot sunset flip, Naomi wins!

Winner: Naomi, by pinfall

The champions are furious! Naomi gets a win on one, but they point out this won’t change who the champs are. Will Naomi find yet another partner to help her challenge Billie & Peyton in the future?

WWE Universal Championship #1 Contender Qualifier Triple Threat: The Miz VS Drew McIntyre VS Baron Corbin!

The reformed A-Lister takes on a tall task in facing the Scottish Terminator and the Lone Wolf. Will we see Awesome VS Phenomenal? Or will see one man rebound from losing to The Shield on Easter Sunday?

Raw returns as McIntyre makes his entrance. Corbin already made his entrance over the commercial break, but we can assume he’s not Des Moines’ Favorite Son. The bell rings and Miz sees he’s between two towering opponents. Miz throws hands on McIntyre but Corbin whips. Miz boots back then rolls Corbin up, but McIntyre pries him off. McIntyre scoops but Miz roll shim up, TWO! Miz bails out, and wags his fingers “Not so fast.” McIntyre and Corbin work together and flank Miz. He gets back in the ring and then wrecks McIntyre with a dropkick! But Corbin wrecks Miz with an uppercut! Corbin and McIntyre stomp away, then mock the fans who boo. McIntyre drags Miz up and in, then stalks him. He brings Miz up for a CHOP and Corbin likes the sound of that. Corbin drags Miz up but Miz fires hands!

McIntyre clubs Miz and Corbin adds on. They work together to mug Miz with a running body shot. Corbin drags Miz up for McIntyre, but then he sucker punches McIntyre! Corbin goes back to Miz, the alliance over, and throws him out. He pursues after Miz and rams him into barriers! Corbin whips Miz but Miz reverses to send him into barriers! Corbin runs into a corner at Miz but gets post instead! Miz has the fans behind him as he looks at both opponents. Miz blocks and counter punches Corbin again and again! He fires off It Kicks in the corner! Then he gives McIntyre double knees! And then Corbin! A-List Lariat on McIntyre! Miz springboards for ax handles on both men! Fans fire up as Miz sees both men on their knees. MIz gives them both It Kicks! Miz swings the buzzsaw at McIntyre, but McIntyre ducks to let it hit Corbin! And then McIntyre gives Miz the Glasgow Kiss! But it rocks McIntyre, too, so he staggers back. McIntyre drags Miz up for a fireman’s carry and then puts him on the top rope. He CHOPS Miz then climbs up to join him.

Miz hits back but McIntyre clubs away. The brawl is fast and furious and McIntyre backs off! Miz adjusts, but Corbin is sent right into him! McIntyre climbs over Corbin to get to Miz again. McIntyre CHOPS Miz again, then fireman’s carry, but Corbin adds on! SUPER CELTIC CROSS POWERBOMB!! But no one can cover, and we go to break!

Winner: Baron Corbin, by pinfall; advances to the main event

The Lone Wolf grins as he takes advantage of McIntyre’s work! It will be Styles VS Corbin in the #1 Contender’s Match, but who moves on to face The Architect?

Backstage interview with AJ Styles.

He was watching that match, so how does he feel about facing Corbin in the main event? Corbin’s big, but it’s about the size of the fight in the dog. Styles is a Georgia bulldog with a lot more fight in him than the Lone Wolf, the “former” United States Champion. Yes, Corbin won that, won Money in the Bank and beat Kurt Angle. But Styles is a former United States Champion, a former WWE World Champion, and the longest champion on SmackDown in history! Styles beat up John Cena! But this isn’t about accolades, this is about picking a fight with a big bully, and winning. Hopefully Rollins watches later tonight, because he’ll hear, “and the winner of this match, The Phenomenal AJ Styles!”

Sami Zayn is here!

The zany Underdog from the Underground makes his way to the ring to speak, after the break.

Raw returns and Sami says he’s doing something no other superstar has had the courage to do: tell the WWE Universe the truth about themselves. No one wants to hear stuff like that, so the fans just used denial and deflection, and create a false narrative about Sami. Somehow Sami is “bitter”? Sami squashes that by saying he’s the exact opposite. Sami is jubilant and happy! In fact, those ten months away from the fans was the happiest time of his life! If fans don’t believe him, Sami will show us how beautiful life is. Sami hiked in Switzerland, reconnected with nature, and wept at the beauty all around him. Then Sami relaxed on a beach in Mexico! He’s snuggled up in a hammock!

Sami then went to Scotland to see the castles. “Look at that face!” Sami’s all smiles! Has anyone ever seen such unbridled joy? Sami lived the good life. But his return approached, he suddenly felt depressed and anxious. A dark cloud was over his head, but why? What was it about the WWE that made him sick? The corporate structure? Or perhaps the other superstars who are “total egomaniacs” and delusional? No, that wasn’t it. Sami dug deep, deep down, and he found the root of the problem: THE FANS! The fans perpetuate and impose a toxic environment on the superstars! Fans boo and Sami criticizes them for that. Y’know why that feels good? Because it’s easier to pass blame than to hold yourselves accountable! But fine, it doesn’t matter, Sami makes the fans responsible. Sami holds the fans accountable!

Fans think they get away with this because of the mob mentality, but it won’t keep them safe from Sami! Sami would much rather be back in Norway, Iceland or Sweden or Switzerland or Mexico. Anywhere but depressing Des Moines! Fans definitely boo that. But if fans have a problem with that, take a page out of his book. Take a trip. “Doesn’t that sound nice?!” They can all go… TO HELL! Sami laughs and spins around his way out of the ring. Will Sami’s mission against the fans get him anywhere?

But Cedric Alexander makes his entrance! The Superstar Shake-Up moved him to Raw full-time, now it’s time to see if the Age of Alexander can be reborn!

Cedric Alexander VS Cesaro!

Raw gives a highlight reel of the Soul of 205 Live and his incredible run through the Cruiserweight Division. But now 205 Live’s Soul goes against the Swiss Cyborg, a last-minute Shake-Up from SmackDown! Will Cesaro end the Age of Alexander’s newest chapter before it even begins?

Raw returns as Cesaro makes his entrance. The bell rings and Cesaro circles with Alexander. They tie up and Cesaro powers Alexander to the corner hard! Cesaro dares Alexander to get up, and Alexander ties up with him. Cesaro gets the arm and wrenches, but Alexander rolls and handsprings to reverse. Alexander headlocks and goes for a takeover but Cesaro powers out! Alexander lands on his feet but gets rocked with a right! Cesaro throws a BIG European Uppercut, then a chop. Cesaro CHOPS again, then stomps Alexander. He whips corner to corner but Alexander goes up and over to handspring headscissor and dropkick Cesaro out! Alexander builds speed as fans fire up, but Cearo gets in. Aelxander slides under and tries to scoop, but Cesaro gets out to scoop slam Alexander! Cesaro drops an elbow, covers, TWO!

Cesaro keeps on Alexander with a chinlock, then shifts to a cobra clutch. Fans rally up as Alexander endures. Alexander fights up and fights out but Cesaro shoves him. Cesaro runs into a boot, but catches Alexander for a backbreaker! Cover, TWO! Alexander clutches his back but he survives. Cesaro sits Aleander up for a running forearm! Cesaro keeps on Alexander with another chinlock. Alexander fights as fans rally again. Alexander gets up and fights with body shots. He throws forearms then runs, but Cesaro BOOTS him down! Cover, TWO! Cesaro keeps his cool as he stomps Alexander’s arm. Cesaro gut wrenches Alexander for a suplex! Cover, TWO! Alexander gasps for air while clutching his back, but Cesaro looms over him.

Cesaro stomps Alexander’s hand then reels him into another chinlock. Cesaro puts his weight on Alexander but Alexander keeps getting up. Alexander fights but Cesaro whips, only for Alexander to sunset flip. Cesaro stays up, then drags Alexander up for a lift. Alexander sunset flips again, TWO! Alexander CHOPS and punches Cesaro, then throws forearms. Cesaro shoves but Alexander blocks the boot to elbow! Alexander dropkicks the legs out then dropkicks Cesaro in the head! Fans fire up with Alexander as he knips up! Alexander runs in but is put on the apron. He boots Cesaro away then springboards in, but Cesaro overpowers the complete shot! Cesaro suplexes but Alexander slips out, and scoops to a Michinoku Driver! Cover, TWO!

Alexander brings Cesaro up but Cesaro EuroUppers, only for Alexander to backslide. Cesaro powers out, but Alexander dodges to handspring, NEURALIZER! Cesaro tumbles out and Alexander builds speed again, to FLY! Direct hit wipes Cesaro out! Alexander puts him back in the ring then aims from the corner. Springboard, EUROUPPER! Cover, Cesaro wins!

Winner: Cesaro, by pinfall

The Swiss Cyborg was just too much for Alexander’s first Raw opponent! Will Cesaro head for a title match of his own in the near future? What will it take for the Soul of 205 Live to revive himself now that he’s in the big leagues?

Backstage interview with The Usos!

Jimmy & Jey are ready to be on Raw. SmackDown was #LockDown, now Raw gonna be Uso Lit! Who is here? Lucha House Party! Party over! The Viking Raiders! Who? Those bearded brothers from Braveheart. FREEDOM~! The Major Brothers, Hawkins & Ryder. Those guys like toys, but here come the #TopGuys. The Revival see the Usos. Good hands in the tag team division, perhaps SmackDown’s greatest. But this is Raw, this is their territory. So the Usos aren’t locking down- Hey, wake up! Oh, sorry, they had a crazy dream about two guys talking about beating the Usos? Usos bring the Penitentiary with them, will Dash & Dawson be the first two put away?

The Viking Raiders VS Lucha House Party!

Erik & Ivar gave the WWE Universe quite the experience, but now Rowe & Hanson- Er, Erik & Ivar prepare for war! Will the fiesta survive the raid?

Raw returns as the LHP make their entrance. But the Vikings attack! They wreck Kalisto then dump down Gran Metalik. They attack Lince Dorado with big knees! Metalik returns bot Erik catches him. Ivar brings Kalisto over for Erik to have on his shoulders, for a powerbomb-powerslam combo! This isn’t even a match but the Vikings keep going. They grab Lince, and feed him to Thor’s Hammer! The Vikings leave the luchadors down and out, who else will suffer a brutal Viking Experience?

No Contest

Backstage interview with Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder.

The Raw Tag Team Champions just saw what happened to Lucha House Party, are they concerned? Hawkins isn’t sure what to say. We all saw the same thing! Those guys went berserk! They’re big, strong, agile but Ryder says they’re still new. The Major Brothers have been here for over a decade and are still here. They earned these titles, so they’re not letting these “smelly, horny, woolly mammoths” just take them away. But will they really have a say in it when the Viking Raiders come for gold?

Becky Lynch VS Alicia Fox!

The Man is the Champ-Champ, and she’s going strong towards her match with The Sassy Southern Belle at Money in the Bank. Will she stay strong against Ms. Crazy Like a Fox?

Raw returns and Becky Two Belts hears the fans chant for her. She then speaks, “There’s something in the air tonight in Iowa.” Becky sensed it backstage and in the locker room. It’s the Superstar Shake-Up. That time of the year where new challengers emerge. Becky didn’t have to wait long, she saw Lacey Evans win that shot. “The woman who likes to sucker punch The Man.” Becky doesn’t mind a good sucker punch, because she’s thrown her own here and there. It’s not the punching, it’s the woman behind them. Becky has made a career of slapping bleached blondes currying favors. Lacey is just the new take on an old approach. While Lacey is “furthering her career”, Becky will cement hers with a fight! But before Alicia can appear, Lacey does!

Lacey struts down the ramp and says Becky always wanting to fight, she can’t understand it. How can Becky let her emotions get the better of her? Is it because she’s Irish? Or like a man, she wants to be the center of attention? Lacey will educate Becky. Lesson 1: a lady is in complete control of her emotions. Lesson 2: a lady is not a show-off. And lesson 3, the most important of all: a man respects a lady. Lacey will teacher Becky that with her Woman’s Right, and then she’ll take both belts to put around her waist. Becky wants Lacey to back up. After everything Becky’s been through, she was just trying to enjoy herself. But “you absolute plank” is on her last nerve. Lacey talks about Irish emotions, those emotions wanna slap Lacey’s head off her shoulders!

Lacey may be new around here, but do not confuse happiness for content. Becky will go to MITB and dismantle Lacey because she can. And then The Man will collect on her debts. But now, Alicia does make her entrance, and we can begin this match!

The bell rings and Des Moines cheers Becky on again. Becky and Alicia circle and tie up, and Becky gets a headlock. She throws Alicia with a takedown but Alicia gets up. Alicia fights out and puts a headlock of her own. Becky powers out but Alicia runs her over with a shoulder. Cover, but Becky slips out and has a little fun. Things speed up and Becky deflects the dropkick to back kick Alicia to the corner. Alicia gets out but Becky wants at her. Becky dares Alicia to get in and fans rally up. Alicia draws near and Becky wrecks her with a baseball slide! Becky bumps Alicia on the apron then throws forearms. Becky brings Alicia around to bump off more apron, but then Alicia rams Becky into barriers!

The ring count hits 8! Alicia drags Becky up and in at 9, then slithers to a cover. TWO, but Becky is in trouble while we go to break.

Raw returns and Becky has Alicia in a corner. She brings Alicia out to whip but Alicia kicks back. Alicia boots Becky down then covers, TWO! Alicia tries again, ONE! She keeps Becky down in a chinlock, but fans rally up. Becky feeds off the energy and gets up to fight out. She throws EuroUppers but Alicia shoves to tilt-o-whirl. Becky headscissors through but Alicia denies the Disarm-Her. Alicia throws Becky to the apron then catches her breath. Becky crawls around the way but Alicia finds her. Alicia brings Becky up but Becky throws Alicia into barriers! Becky puts Alicia in but Alicia hits her back. Becky elbows from the corner then hops up for flying forearms. Fans fire up as Becky throws Alicia with a Becksploder! And then another!

But Becky’s far from done with Alicia as she runs in. Alicia rolls her up, TWO! Becky gets the Disarm-her! Alicia taps, but Lacey appears to throw her Woman’s Right!!

Winner: Becky Lynch, by submission

The Sassy Southern sucker punch gets the better of Becky again! Lacey brushes herself off and puts her hat back on, to hit Becky with another Woman’s Right! Will Lacey be adding a belt to her ensemble after Money in the Bank?

Backstage interview with Baron Corbin.

The Lone Wolf warms up for Styles. He’s already defied expectations, but if he does it again, he’ll not only earn a title shot, but he’ll have a chance to settle things with the man who was a thorn in his side during his GM days. Where is Charly getting these interview techniques? The same school that Kim Kardashian got her law degree? And who’s expectations did he defy? Those “grease balls” sitting at home in their basements on the computer? Those people didn’t think he’d beat Kurt Angle, either. The only thing better than proving “those idiots” wrong is getting revenge on Rollins. So he’s looking past Styles? No, he’s looking straight through him! But will Corbin even get through Styles to go to Money in the Bank?

Ricochet VS Robert Roode!

The One and Only is now on his own after more of the Superstar Shake-Up moves happened. Will he be able to overcome the slightly renamed GLORIOUS One after the break?

Raw returns as Roode makes his GLORIOUS entrance. And Bobby is now Robert, complete with a mostly shaven look. Roode explained in a WWE.com exclusive interview that with this Shake-Up, he’s been able to drop 150 pounds of dead weight named Chad Gable. But Ricochet is just as young, talented and also lacking that something special. That same something special is what Roode has to be GLORIOUS, but will his new name and new look really help give him a fresh start?

The bell rings and Roode circles with Ricochet. Roode and Ricochet tie up and Roode powers Ricochet to the corner. Ricochet turns it around but backs off at the ref’s count. Roode kicks low then throws hands on Ricochet in a corner. Ricochet punches back and backs Roode down. Roode headlocks but Ricochet powers out. Things speed up and Roode gets the headlock back. Ricochet endures then fights his way out. Roode knees low then stalks Ricochet. He CHOPS Ricochet to ropes then whips. Ricochet rolls off Roode’s back then rolls under to handspring headscissor and dropkick Roode down! Roode wants a timeout at the ropes but Ricochet dares him to come back. Ricochet walks over but is sent to the apron. He shoulders back in then dumps Roode out!

Fans fire up as Ricochet builds speed to fake Roode out! Roode swipes but misses, and gets the moonsault! The King of Flight is fired up while we go to break!

Raw returns and Roode has Ricochet in a chinlock. Ricochet fights his way up but Roode wrangles him back down. Roode grinds Ricochet down but fans rally up. Ricochet endures as Roode squeezes tighter. Ricochet feeds off the energy and fights out of the hold. He runs but into Roode’s knee! Roode drags Ricochet up to whip and knee again. He kicks away then suplexes Ricochet up and over! Cover, TWO! Roode grows frustrated but he keeps on Ricochet. He drags Ricochet into a half camel clutch but he also fish hooks Ricochet’s face. He lets go at 4 but then goes back to the camel clutch. Roode sits deep on it but fans rally. Ricochet powers his way up but Roode knocks him back down. Roode drags Ricochet up to whip him to a corner. Ricochet boots Roode away, then somersault shotgun dropkicks!

Both men are down but Ricochet slowly stands. Roode slowly follows and they start throwing hands. Ricochet dodges and runs to rally with forearms! Ricochet headscissors Roode to a corner, then goes corner to corner for a shoulder tackle. He slips out to the apron and bumps Roode on buckles, then kicks the buckle to snap Roode back. Ricochet aims and springboards for a leaping lariat! Standing Shooting Star! Cover, TWO!! Roode survives but Ricochet keeps his cool. Ricochet drags Roode up and to a fireman’s carry but Roode fights out. Roode waistlocks but Ricochet fights out. Ricochet grabs at Roode but Roode elbows back. Roode runs but Ricochet rolls him, TWO! Ricochet leaps into a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!!

Roode grows frustrated but he has one more move to try. He winds it up… GLORIOUS! Ricochet stands but denies the DDT to reel Roode in, TKO knee! Cover, TWO!! Ricochet drags Roode to a drop zone and climbs up top! He goes for the 450 but has to land on his feet as Roode dodges. Roode rams Ricochet into buckles! GLORIOUS DDT!! Cover, Roode wins!!

Winner: Robert Roode, by pinfall

The GLORIOUS Reinvention is successful! Roode revitalizes himself with the name change, but will this lead him to putting that new name on a title belt? Can Ricochet rebound and get on track as a singles competitor in his own right?

Welcome to Firefly Fun House~!

Who is that in the red sweater? Iiiiiit’s BRAY~! Brat Wyatt has missed us. But he knew we’d all be back together some day. He saw it in his dreams. Bray Wyatt promises we’ll all have fun. All the fireflies will feel safe here. And he can’t wait to show us what he’s learned. Tada~! Here are his very special friends! Mercy the Buzzard! Abby the Witch! “You are going to love them.” Now, Bray admits he used to be a very bad man. Boo~! Yes, he deserves that. But Bray has been punished for that, so that part of him is dead.

However, he has a reminder so that he won’t ever go back to being that “pathetic slob loser.” Bray shows a cardboard cut-out of himself, and CUTS IT UP! YAY~! The fun is just getting started. So remember, fireflies: Bray will light the way, all you have to do is let him in. See you next week!

WWE Universal Championship #1 Contender’s Match: AJ Styles VS Baron Corbin!

The Phenomenal One and the Lone Wolf made it through four other incredible superstars to make it to this match. But now, who will show they’ve still got more in the tank to punch their ticket to Money in the Bank?

Raw returns as Corbin makes his entrance. And this time, we do have to hear Mike Rome list Corbin’s accolades. But again, the former Raw General Manager, Golden Gloves boxing champion, United States Champion and Mr. Money in the Bank is NOT Des Moines’ Favorite Son. Corbin accepts that, and the bell rings so we can begin this major main event!

Corbin circles with Styles but obviously the fans are on Styles’ side. Styles and Corbin approach and Corbin talks trash. Styles gets Corbin with a right hand! Corbin comes back but gets CHOPS. Styles shows Corbin he’s just fine and then kicks away on Corbin’s leg. Corbin rocks Styles back with a right, then drags Styles up. Styles slips out and dropkicks Corbin away. Styles throws more hands against the ropes but backs off at the ref’s count. Corbin gets back up to knee Styles low. Corbin throws Styles out but Styles is on the apron. Styles shoulders in then slingshots but into a big right! Styles goes down and Corbin stomps away. Corbin whips Styles corner to corner hard and Styles goes down again. Corbin looms over Styles but fans still rally up. He stands Styles up to punch him back down.

Corbin sits Styles up to punch him back down again and again. He drags Styles up but Styles throws hands back! Styles runs and clotheslines Corbin out! Styles slingshots but lands on the apron when Corbin gets clear. Corbin trips Styles and Styles falls on the apron hard! Corbin whips Styles into the timekeeper area, but Styles roundhouses back! Fans fire up as Styles uses the barriers. But Corbin catches him to drop him on the barriers! The Lone Wolf has the advantage while we go to one more break!

Raw returns again and Corbin has Styles down in a half nelson. Corbin leans on Styles but Styles fights his way up. Styles fights out as fans rally, but Corbin throws another right. Corbin lifts and tosses Styles with a spin! Cover, TWO! Corbin grows frustrated but he still stalks Styles to a corner. He drags Styles up and puts him on the top rope. Corbin climbs but Styles fights back. Corbin rocks Styles again, then wants a superplex, but Styles slips out to trip Corbin up! Styles gets up and throws kicks into Corbin’s leg. Fans rally as Styles kicks Corbin off his feet. Styles wants the leg but Corbin shoves him away. Styles comes back with a sliding forearm! He clotheslines Corbin in the corner then goes for a fireman’s carry. But Corbin slips out, only for Styles to give him the Phenomenal Blitz!

Corbin grabs Styles and glares at him, for the choke slam. Styles wheelbarrows to a victory roll, TWO! Corbin swings but Styles dodges to climb around for a sunset flip. But into the Clash! But Corbin is too tall and he kicks Styles away. Both men are down but crawling. Corbin stands in a corner but Styles dodges. Corbin slides out then in but gets the PELE! Styles keeps moving, but gets a DEEP SIX! Cover, TWO!! Styles still lives and Corbin can’t believe it. Corbin crawls to ropes while Styles goes the other way. Corbin runs at Styles in the corner for a big clothesline! And then another! Corbin reels Styles in but Styles rolls him for the CALF CRUSHER! Styles pulls back hard but Corbin slams Styles’ head on the mat! Corbin is free but the damage is done.

Corbin crawls to a corner and drags himself back up. Styles runs in but Corbin boots him. Corbin puts Styles on the ropes then hops up, and leaps! Styles dodges and Corbin hotshots himself! Styles takes aim and springboards, Phenomenal Forearm! Cover, Styles wins!

Winner: AJ Styles, by pinfall; NEW #1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship

The Phenomenal One is victorious after a night of incredible action! Now he heads to Money in the Bank to take on The Architect! And speaking of, Seth Rollins comes out to meet his challenger! Rollins offers a handshake, and Styles accepts it! These two respect each other, but will that change with a month left to go?

My Thoughts:

A rather crazy Raw tonight, what with more changes after the backlash of Superstar Shake-Up. The most obvious is that the infamous Viking Experience name change was changed again. Viking Raiders is a better compromise to keep “War” out of the team name, but I wish they’d also just let Erik & Ivar be Rowe & Hanson. But then this compromise was ruined by Vince sneaking his choice in anyway, and now every match where they use Thor’s Hammer, the pop-up powerslam, will have commentary shouting “Viking Experience!” If only Vince felt the wrath of Thor’s Hammer… The next most obvious was Robert Roode’s new name and the change to his facial hair. I was surprised to see him win, but I suppose if he’s in a rivalry with Ricochet now, they’d need to go back-and-forth at least this much.

Cesaro VS Cedric was great, and I suppose it works that Cesaro wins. Alexander’s promotion to Raw works better if he has some trouble with the transition, and it’ll make his first win on Raw that much more exciting. Bray Wyatt turning all those creepy promos into this children’s show is a hilarious next step in this new story. His new self is great with this underlying just-barely-holding-on-to-sanity characteristic. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more interactions with Mercy and Pammy for a few weeks, maybe a couple months, to really explore how this is going. Maybe it becomes part talk show with an occasional guest.

I felt like The IIconics pointing out Naomi was all alone was going to prompt her new friend to appear to keep the IIconics from screwing her out of the match. But surprisingly, Naomi won clean. I still feel like Naomi will end up teaming with someone, perhaps Tamina. With Nia Jax out with injury and given the history and real-life bond between them, Tamina going to Naomi or vice-versa makes sense to me. Lacey Evans more than likely misspoke about having both belts after one match with Becky, she’s only the Raw Women’s Championship #1 contender. But either way, she had a pretty good showing without a match, as she gives a good promo and then a great sucker punch attack just as Becky’s match ended. Lacey’s push may be fast but I’m sure she’ll deliver in the match.

But the big thing was that Raw rightfully upped the ante for that Universal Championship now that it’s finally on TV. Both triple threats were incredible, worthy of a title in their own right. They both ended about how they should, and it made sense for Corbin to be opportunistic in that moment at the end. Samoa Joe and Mysterio can either have a proper US Championship match or be in the MITB ladder match, and MITB can also include Miz and/or McIntyre if they see fit. Styles VS Corbin was pretty good for under 15 minutes, and honestly I was surprised Corbin didn’t find a sneaky way to win. But Styles winning is great, we’ll get a dream match already with MITB PPV. I would think Rollins retains, but at least with Styles, it’d be believable if he’d take it so soon.

My Score: 8.1/10

Christian runs in, White blocks a kick to DRAGON SCREW!

White UPPERCUTS Hangman in a corner, whips corner to corner, but Hangman ELBOWS back! Hangman swings, but into a spin and DDT! Christian runs up, White tries the same but Christian spins that around! White fights the Killswitch to DDT Christian! Then HALF HATCH SUPLEX sends Hangman into the corner! Cover, TWO! White tags Juice, and the fans fire up as White sends Juice in to LARIAT Hangman! White runs up, blocks Hangman’s boot, and KNEE JAMMER! Juice adds a CANNONBALL! White then suplexes, BRAINBUSTER! Juice covers, TWO!! Hangman survives and the fans can’t believe it!

Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone & Kamille.

Renee Paquette meets The CEO & Brickhouse just outside their locker room and wants to talk the TBS Championship defense against Kris Statlander. Mone rolls her eyes and says yes, she knows. But don’t even ask about a question before you know what’s up. “Bridgeport~! Say hello to your C E O.” Okay, well, to the point, Mone & Kamille tried to run Kris over with their car. What?! That was NOT Mone’s fault, Kamille cannot drive. Mone pushes her pink coat into Kamille, who drops it because of her bad arm. Mone gets mad at Kamille for dropping her 20 THOUSAND DOLLAR jacket and tells her to put it in the locker room.

Mone says Kamille’s incompetence is stressing her out. But so is Statlander. Mone is not afraid of her, did you not see Collision? Mone put Kris in the Statement Maker and made her beg for mercy! That is just a little preview of what’s to come. Now, Mone has to get ready for the show and- KRIS IS HERE! Mone freaks out, Kamille looks in the hall to see what’s going on, and Kris THROWS her into a wall! Kris stalks Mone, Mone hits back and they brawl in the hall! Kris picks Money up, Kamille grabs Mone, Mone CLAWS Kris’s eyes! Kris TACKLES them both through a wall!! Was THAT a preview of what’s gonna happen when the gold is on the line?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

AEW returns as Schiavone welcomes in the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! The fans fire up as Ospreay makes his entrance, feeling much better after his big return last week. Schiavone says Ospreay is of course focused on getting the International Championship back, which is owned by Konosuke Takeshita and all but stolen from him. But surely, Ospreay’s mind is also on Don Callis and what’s going on with his old friend, Kyle Fletcher. Ospreay says he doesn’t really know. He has a lot of questions he needs answers for. Ospreay thanks the fans for the singing, but he says the title is second for right now.

So if Schiavone doesn’t mind, Ospreay’s gonna call out Fletcher and they’ll have a chat. Schiavone steps aside and here comes The Protostar already! Kyle stares Ospreay down as he stands on stage, and Kyle tells Ospreay that the Family begged Kyle not to do this on his own. But Kyle wants to prove he is not a coward, unlike Ospreay. Because weeks ago, Kyle called Ospreay out and yet Ospreay would rather sit at home and lick his wounds than show up for the people. So Kyle is here face to face, man to man, and wants Ospreay to know the Family is never far behind. So much as lay a finger on him, and Ospreay will be sent home for a lot longer than three weeks this time.

That said, what does Ospreay wanna talk about? Ospreay says hang on a minute. He’s been in the Don Callis Family meetings. Surely Kyle has something in his back pocket. Whatever it is, get it out of there. Ospreay promises he won’t touch Kyle, he just wants to talk. Kyle brings out the screwdriver! And he tosses it to the feet of Ospreay. Ospreay picks it up, and throws it down on the floor. It sticks right in the mat! Kyle asks if Ospreay is happy, and Ospreay says not really. He’s looking at someone he used to call a brother, and is starting to feel hatred and anger. Kyle lived in Ospreay’s house! And while in Australia during Pandemic, Kyle was working in a warehouse going stir crazy.

Ospreay let Kyle live with Ospreay, he joined The United Empire. Ospreay, Kyle and Mark Davis took over Japan, England, and obviously Ospreay opened the door to Kyle here in AEW. This is what annoys Ospreay: Kyle knows everything about Ospreay. From where he goes to the gym, to where he lives. Kyle’s been with Ospreay to go pick up his son from school. That frightens the Missus, it upsets Ospreay, so Ospreay wants answers. Ospreay wants them from Kyle’s mouth. Kyle says surprise surprise, Ospreay is taking credit for someone else’s success. Callis only opened Kyle’s eyes to the truth.

The fans boo but Kyle says while Ospreay did all that, from shelter to food, who was Ospreay really doing that for? For Kyle? No, Ospreay was doing it for Ospreay. Everything Ospreay does is about Ospreay! Ospreay wanted to mold Kyle into a Ospreay clone so he could succeed, but never as much as Ospreay. Ospreay is selfish and hypocritical! Fans call BS but Kyle says he did exactly what Ospreay would’ve done in his shoes! From Okada to Omega, Ospreay would’ve done the exact same thing! Oh get over yourself! The last time Ospreay saw Kyle, Ospreay was on the couch with his little boy, watching Kyle shaving his head, shouting on about how he’s nothing like Ospreay.

So now, Kyle is bringing up Ospreay’s past and saying Kyle is doing the same? Pick a lane, son! Are you nothing like Ospreay? Or are you a clone? But you wanna bring up the past? Fine! Ospreay will own it. He stabbed Okada in the back, stabbed Omega in the back, but before all that, he was a THREE-TIME IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion! A TWO-TIME Best of the Super Junior winner! Every continent he’s been on, Ospreay has held gold! So tell Ospreay, Kyle, what have you done!? And do NOT use Aussie Open. What has KYLE FLETCHER done?! SOD ALL, lad!

Ospreay wants to know what Kyle has done? How about what he’s going to do? Kyle will surpass Ospreay and every single accomplishment he’s ever had. And Kyle will prove it at Full Gear! November 23rd, live on PAY PER VIEW, Fletcher VS Ospreay! The fans do like the sound of that. Ospreay says there it is, that’s what this has been all about. Kyle wants his five minutes of fame! He wants his PPV match! Well look no further, lad! Because around these parts, Ospreay is Mr. PPV! Since Ospreay’s been here, there have been four different world champs, and none of them can match what Ospreay can do!

The fans fire up as Ospreay says if Kyle wants the match, then CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! And let Ospreay tell Kyle why this will be so sweet. When Kyle shaved his head, Ospreay sitting there with his six year old son, Kyle does not know the damage he did. This left hand could barely feel anything anymore. And after Kyle shaved his head, Ospreay’s son was holding his hand, and Ospreay didn’t even know it until he looked down! KYLE did that to Ospreay. Kyle took that from Ospreay and Ospreay’s son. So this is a nice little carrot: Full Gear, 11/23/24. And now Ospreay will be the one to take THAT from Kyle!

Kyle says if you think that Tiger Driver and the screwdriver stab were bad, Kyle isn’t coming for a piece, but he’s coming for it all! But let’s see what condition Ospreay shows up to Full Gear in. Oh, now Kyle’s got friends? Brian Cage & Lance Archer step up, but Ospreay says no worries. He’s got friends, too! Will Hobbs & Mark Davis step in! The fans fire up. Ospreay asks if we’re standing around like a-holes or are we gonna fight? And so they fight! The fans fire up as we get Ospreay and Kyle, Hobbs and Cage, then Mark and Archer! Mark puts Archer in a corner, Kyle does the same with Ospreay, and they turn around to see each other!

The fans fire up as Aussie Open jaws at each other. Ospreay BOOTS Kyle, Mark sighs, but then Ospreay PLANCHAS out onto Kyle! Archer DECKS Davis! Ospreay and Kyle brawl up the ramp, as do Cage and Hobbs! But wait! HERE COMES Roderick Strong! Archer goes up to the ramp, but Roddy comes in from around the way! KENDO STICK SMACK! Roddy’s ready for that Falls Count Anywhere! The bell rings now, this match is happening NOW!

Dynamite returns to single picture, and Archer runs up, but into a drop toehold! Archer is sent into hockey boards!

Roddy fires off on Archer, dribbles him off the boards, and that guy with the “I Drove 30 Minutes to See Lance Archer” is getting his money’s worth. Roddy lets off while the fans fire up, but Brian Cage returns! The Machine CLOBBERS Roddy, now this is a 2v1 match! The fans boo but Cage reels Roddy in. Roddy fights the bomb, but Archer choke grips! Roddy flails, here comes The Kingdom! The fans fire up as Taven & Bennett turn the tides! Bennett has Cage, Taven helps Roddy with Archer. Archer TOSSES Roddy, shoves Taven, then he BOOTS Taven down! Archer then hops railing to stomp away on Roddy!

The fans fire up, and Archer drags Taven up! They go onto the boards, and the fans fire up for the clinch! URENAGE onto security! The fans lose their minds as The Monster wipes out three men at once! Archer goes back to Roddy, hauls him up, and then balances on the barriers again. But Roddy trips Archer! Archer lands on his murderhawk! Roddy fires forearms on Archer, then grabs a chair to SMACK Archer down! The fans cheer while Archer crawls! Roddy fires up, then runs up, STRONG KNEE!! Archer tumbles, Roddy covers, RODDY WINS!!

Winner: Roderick Strong, by pinfall

And with this, Roddy has his there match win streak! MJF’s challenge has been beat, and yet MJF doesn’t seem that upset? Roddy grabs a mic to shout, “MAAAX~! Max! At Full Gear, this all ends, and I’m gonna finish your ass!” But wait! KONOSUKE TAKESHITA ATTACKS! The Alpha makes sure Roddy is in no good shape to face MJF! But wait! Here comes Adam Cole! Konosuke looms over Cole while Dynamite goes pictur ein picture.

Konosuke stands on Cole’s face at the ropes, then steps off as the ref counts. Konosuke then stalks Cole to ropes to CHOKE him! The ref counts again, Konosuke steps off, and Konosuke puts Cole in a corner. TO CHOKE! The ref counts again, Konosuke takes a swing, but Cole ducks it! Wait! Ricochet’s here now! Konosuke takes a swing, misses, and Ricochet SUPERKICKS!

The Alpha goes rolling, and the One & Only holds up the International Championship. Will Ricochet get his shot at the title soon enough? As for The Undisputed Kingdom, they and Kyle stand together. Cole offers a handshake in thanks, but Kyle leaves him hanging. Kyle is Conglomeration now, is he moving past his past? As for Cole & Roddy, will MJF suffer their wrath all the same come Full Gear?

The Death Riders pull into the parking lot.

Marina Shafir has the briefcase and holds the door for Jon Moxley. They, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta head inside, ready to take over! But what will they have planned for Dynamite once they’re in control?

Backstage interview with The Hurt Syndicate.

Renee welcomes in Shelton Benjamin, Montel Vontavious Porter & “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley. Renee says in just over a week, Full Gear, Lashley has his first AEW match against Swerve Strickland. Swerve is perhaps the most dangerous man in all of pro-wrestling today, and one of the most decorated champions we’ve had in AEW. Does Lashley feel prepared for- MVP interrupts and asks where Renee got her journalism degree. No, don’t answer that. MVP will take this from here. Lashley, you are without question the most indominable force in pro-wrestling today, one of the most decorated champions in the history of this sport!

How does it feel to know that in less than two weeks, he may end young Swerve’s career? Lashley tells Renee that Swerve is dangerous to everyone else. But Lashley will make an example out of Swerve. Lashley will hurt Swerve. MVP says you heard it from Lashley himself. Swerve will be in action later on tonight, and The Hurt Syndicate will be watching. That’s how it’s done. Renee thanks MVP and the Hurt Syndicate for their time, but will Lio Rush prove to everyone that he is the Man of the Hour?

The Death Riders are attacking!

Claudio Castagnoli SMACKS JD Drake on the back with a chair! Then he hands said chair to Wheeler Yuta, and Yuta SAMCKS JD! And then SMACKS him again! And here comes Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir. Yuta & Claudio leave Scrap Metal behind to walk down the ramp while Moxley & Marina walk in from the crowd. They all meet at the ring, and Marina even intimidates a cameraman into the ring! The fans are torn but Moxley ahs a mic. “I’ve been thinking about Orange Cassidy a lot these last few days. He’s playing the game very well. Chuck Taylor is drinking his food through a straw because you couldn’t save him.

“Wheeler Yuta belongs in me, believes in me, because you couldn’t save him. And you’re undeterred. Hands in your pockets, eyes on the prize, Orange Cassidy, you have the chance of a lifetime on November 23rd. A shot at the AEW World Championship. All your friends, all your fans, all your peers, are depending on you. That pressure is building, and you’re cool as a cucumber. So I have to make an example out of Orange Cassidy at Full Gear on November 23rd, and I will make an example out of you at Full Gear, Orange Cassidy. I’m gonna brutalize Orange Cassidy! I’m gonna stomp his face into hamburger meat. I’ll mutilate him so bad, his own mother won’t recognize him.

“And everybody will see that. Everyone who wants to call themselves a contender, everybody who thinks they wanna be somebody in this business will see that, and they will run and hide! And we will continue to do whatever the hell we want in AEW, because I command the AEW Championship, and WE have the power!” The fans boo, but here comes Cassidy! The fans fire up as Freshly Squeezed steps out on stage, mic in hand. The fans cheer Cassidy on, but he’s not alone! Mark Briscoe & Rocky Romero are here! Cassidy says, “Hello. See, I wanted to come out here and let you know, Jon, that I agree with you. I believe you.

“I believe you can do all the things you say you’re gonna do, and it’s because of what’s in that briefcase. See, you hold the symbol that represents AEW. That represents me, that represents us, represents all of these people. It represents everything professional wrestling can be. It’s the power. You hold the AEW World Championship. But see, we could fight all around this building, we could fight in the parking lot, we could fight in catering. It doesn’t matter, because the only way you become AEW World Champion is by wrestling. And for a guy who doesn’t like to wrestle, I wrestle more than anybody else here.

“And I’m pretty good at it, too, because, uh… I beat you, remember that?” The fans cheer and Cassidy says at Full Gear, he and Moxley will wrestle, and Cassidy will beat Moxley again. Then Cassidy takes the power back. Moxley said a couple years ago that while everyone else was playing checkers, Cassidy and Moxley were playing chess. There are still some pawns that Cassidy has to get rid of. One in particular is Wheeler Yuta. Next week, Cassidy and Yuta will wrestle, and Cassidy will remove the pawn that lets him take the king. Yuta says he is no one’s pawn, but Claudio tells him to stop talking.

Moxley says if Cassidy wants Yuta next week, we’ll see if Cassidy has the guts to pull the trigger on someone he thought was his friend. Either way, at Full Gear, Moxley only has one message for Cassidy, for his friends, and for anyone else who wants what he has. November 23rd, abandon all hope! The Maniac now leads his Death Riders away into the night. Will Moxley be on top of AEW then, now and forever? Or will- WAIT, someone in a Sting mask jumps from the vomitorium and CLOBBERS Moxley, Yuta & Claudio! It’s DARBY! Darby Allin fires hands on Claudio, Yuta goes after Darby, and now Conglomeration joins in!

The fans fire up as the brawl goes into the hallway! Yuta has Cassidy in a SLEEPER! Marina escorts Moxley away while Claudio drags Darby into the back! Conglomeration focuses on helping Cassidy and Darby, but our cameras follow Moxley. Moxley and Marina get in their truck, Claudio has caught up, but where’s Yuta? Too late, the truck takes off! Wait, Darby LEAPS into the truck bed! The truck stops, Claudio gets out to go after Darby and the brawl is on again! Claudio RAMS Darby into the side of the truck, then all the way into the garage door! Claudio SWINGS Darby around, and back into the garage door!

The Swiss Superman leaves Darby behind, but the Death Riders barely wait for Yuta to hop in the back before taking off again. Darby shouts, “Where’re you going, Claudio!? I’m still standing!” Darby leans against the garage door, Cassidy & Mark help him back up. The Death Riders have fled into the night, but will they make sure to stay away until Full Gear?

Backstage interview with The Learning Tree.

Renee is now with Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey as she brings up Tomohiro Ishii officially challenging Jericho for the ROH World Championship. It will be in two weeks, Dynamite in Chicago, will Jericho accept? Bill says, “Challenge? As the Learning Tree always says, a person’s true self is not seen in moments of glory, but in moments of hardship and challenge.” Jericho says, “Well said, Redwood. And thanks, Renee. Ishii, I’ve got a soft spot for you because we’ve known each other for almost 30 years, ever since we were both working for Genshiro Tenryu in WAR in Japan.

“Albeit, I was a huge main event star, and you were nothing more than a rookie, a Young Boy. You used to get me coffee, carry my bags, and even wash my back in the shower. Hahaha! But Ishii, you’ve gone on to become one of the toughest and best pro-wrestlers in the world. I should know, because it was only two years ago that we had a classic match, one of my favorite in AEW, and one of the toughest I’ve ever had, also in Chicago. So it’s only apropos that in two weeks on Dynamite, we’re gonna face each other. I do accept your challenge, Ishii, for the ROH World Championship, Jericho VS Ishii.

“But I’ve gone on to bigger and better things, as well. Because now, I’ve become the Nueve.” Jericho, Keith & Bill all hold up nine fingers. Jericho reminds us he is a NINE-TIME world champion, and a TWO-TIME ROH World Champion. So now, Jericho will invoke the glory and courage of great ROH champions of the past, like Jay Briscoe. And he’ll do that while teaching Ishii a lesson that he won’t forget, ever again. Keith says in the Windy City, Jericho blows Ishii’s dumb ass away! Jericho says truer words have never been spoken. Thanks, guys! But will Jericho have very little to be thankful after the Stone Pitbull takes a bite out of him?

Britt Baker VS Penelope Ford!

The Doctor is in, and she’s looking to get one more win to prove she’s back in top form. But will she be primed for a shot at the gold in time for Full Gear? Or will Mrs. Superbad take out her frustrations here tonight?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Britt wrenches and hammerlocks, then half nelsons, snapmares, and ghost pins! TWO! Ford escapes and the fans rally up again. The two reset, tie up, and Britt goes for an arm. Britt wrenches to a wristlock, but Ford slips through to wrench back. Britt slips under, reaches around and wrenches again. Ford breaks free, pie faces Britt, then wrenches her to the wristlock. Britt slips through, breaks and ROCKS Ford! Britt fires a flurry on Ford, then whips. Ford reverses, Britt hits a NECKBREAKER DROP! Ford bails out in frustration while fans rally up.

The ring count starts while Ford paces around. Ford baits Britt into sliding out so she can slide back in. Ford smirks as she taunts Britt again. Britt rolls in but Ford rolls out. Ford taunts Britt and soaks up heat, but Britt grabs at Ford! Ford trips Britt, spins her around, and ROCKS her on the apron! Britt sputters, Ford goes up and up to APRON KNEE DROP! Ford mockingly frowns while Britt falls, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Ford drags Britt up, POSTS her, and Britt falls to the floor. Ford taunts the fans, drags Britt up and puts her back in the ring. Ford kicks Britt around, but Britt fires body shots! Ford scuffs Britt, but Britt fires more body shots. Ford CLUBS Britt down, drags her up again, and bumps her off buckles. Ford brings Britt along ropes to then CHOKE her! The ref counts, Ford taunts Britt, but lets off at 4. Britt sputters while Ford “apologizes,” then Ford brings Britt up. Ford fires hands in the corner, then bumps her off buckles again. Ford pie faces Britt, but Britt ROCKS Ford! Ford storms up but Britt fires more forearms!

Britt ROCKS Ford, Ford ROCKS Britt! Britt falls back, Ford is on her again, but Britt fires more body shots. Ford CLUBS Britt down, whips her to ropes, and LARIATS! Ford covers, TWO! Britt stays in this and Ford grows frustrated. Ford storms up on Britt in a corner, stands her up, and CHOPS! And CHOPS again! Ford brings Britt around to snapmare and chicken wing into the motorcycle stretch! Britt endures, so Ford JAMS her in the back with a knee! Ford pulls on the arms again but Britt still endures. Dynamite returns to single picture as the fans rally behind Britt. Britt fights up, and she fires forearms!

Ford fires back, then whips. Ford handsprings, but Britt clinches! BUCKLE SHOT! Britt fires up with the fans, but Ford runs at her! Britt dodges, LARIATS Ford, and LARIATS again! Britt fires a flurry, then whips Ford to a corner. Ford reverses, but Britt comes back to SLINGBLADE! The fans fire up and Britt storms up on Ford in a corner. Britt sputters, Ford gets a taste. Britt pushes Ford, Ford ROCKS Britt! Ford fireman’s carries, but Britt fights free!

Britt ripcords to ROLLING ELBOW! And then she runs to DISCUS- NO, Ford goes Matrix! And CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Ford is frustrated again but she drags Britt to a drop zone. Ford goes up, up and MOONSAULTS! FLOP as Britt moves! SUPER- NO, Ford blocks, SLAPS, but Britt ducks the heel kick! SUPERKICK! Britt hits the TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Ford flounders and Britt brings out the glove! Britt spells it out again, but Ford SHOTGUNS Britt in the back! Ford drags Britt around, ties the legs up, and has the MUTA LOCK! Britt endures as Ford bridges back! But Britt fishhooks Ford! LOCKJAW!! Ford freaks out but she TAPS, Britt wins!

Winner: Britt Baker, by submission

Talk about snatching victory from the jaws of defeat! Britt turns things right around on Ford, and now she’s back on top! But wait, Serena Deeb walks out here. The Professor had her eyes on The Doctor the last time Britt was healthy, will we revisit that history very soon?

Backstage interview with Mina Shirakawa.

Renee is with the returning Fighting Gravure Idol and says it is so great to have her back. Is Mina here to see Mariah May? Mina says she is so excited to watch Mariah May VS Anna Jay Round 3 on Collision, so excited to see Mariah win again, and is now looking forward to their big champagne celebration~! But as Mina holds the glass out to Renee, Harley Cameron steps in, snatches the glass, and chugs it in one go! Harley tells Mina that some would say Mina is the Harley Cameron of Japan. Well then, welcome to the Harley Cameron of Harley Camerons. What…? Oh, never mind! But since Mina is back, she will feel the wrath of Harley Cameron!

Wait, seriously? Mina VS Harley? Yes! Face to face, tit for tat! Rack ’em up and may the breast- best woman win! Mina shimmies and says, “See you Saturday.” Harley shimmies back, and Renee says stop! Things are really shaping up for Collision, but who proves they can get crazier in the ring?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Lio Rush!

The Realest has certainly heard everything everyone else has had to say about him, from The Hurt Syndicate to even a former friend in The Bad Child. But will Swerve have to show Lio and Lashley whose house this is? Or will it just be Swerve’s Final Hour?

The bell rings, Nana leads the fans in a chant of “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Swerve and Lio talk some trash. Swerve says Lio should’ve just listened to him, but Lio shoves Swerve. Things speed up as Lio dodges, redirects, but then Swerve returns the favor! The fans cheer, but then Lio takes off again. Both men stop on a dime, but Lio slides out of the ring. The fans are still behind “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” but Lio takes his time returning. Lio and Swerve go again, Swerve trips and covers, ONE! Swerve suplexes, Lio slips free to shove, but Swerve slips up and around to stop himself. Lio runs up, Swerve dodges, but Lio pulls the same flip.

Swerve runs up, Lio ducks ‘n’ dodges, goes to the apron, bobs ‘n’ weaves, then RAMS into Swerve! Lio then dodges the shoulder, but Swerve avoids the Spider-Man attack. Swerve runs up, Lio backflips, but Swerve handsprings up and over to stare him down! The fans are thunderous for these two, but then Lio CLAWS Swerve’s eyes! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Lio says Swerve doesn’t know him. Swerve blocks the desk bump to SMACK Lio off the apron! Nana cheers Swerve on and he puts Lio in the ring. Swerve climbs up a corner slowly, but Lio runs up to handspring ropes! Swerve takes a fall to corner, then apron, then floor!

Lio stands tall and smirks while a ring count starts. Nana checks Swerve while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Swerve blinks one of his eyes while clutching his groin, but Lio storms out to fire off! Lio stomps away, but Swerve gets away. Lio RAMS Swerve into railing! Lio CHOPS Swerve, BOOTS him, then stares Nana down. Nana backs off but Lio mocks his dance. Lio drags Swerve up, wrenches and puts Swerve in the ring. Lio clamps onto Swerve and squeezes tight with a sleeper and body scissors. Swerve fights up with Lio as a backpack, and RAMS him into the corner! But Lio runs up to CHOP BLOCK Swerve’s leg! Lio clamps back on with the SLEEPER, but Swerve endures. Swerve fights up, but Lio fires crossface forearms!

Lio lets off and scuffs Swerve. Swerve sits up but Lio kicks him. Lio eggs Swerve on, but Swerve CHOPS back! Lio grimaces and Dynamite goes to break.

Dynamite returns and Swerve has Lio on the apron. But Lio fires hands on Swerve! Lio ROCKS Swerve, but Swerve feints a boot to KICK, and APRON HOUSE CALL!! Lio tumbles into the ring and the fans fire up! Swerve rolls in, gator rolls Lio to a deadlift suplex! Cover, TWO! Lio stays in this but Swerve stays cool. Nana coaches Swerve and Swerve goes up the corner. Swerve aims as Lio sits up, FALLING UPPERCUT! Swerve hits the Griddy and the fans fire up. Swerve drags Lio up, inverted suplex, but Lio slips free! Swerve kicks, spin kicks, then EDDY- NO, Lio dodges the Gordo, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!!

The fans rally up while Lio grows frustrated. Swerve goes to the apron, Nana says watch out, but Lio is on Swerve already. Lio whips, Swerve reverses, but Lio leaps up on the desk! RAN- NO, Swerve stops that to then bring Lio to steps! Lio slips free, runs back up, but Swerve pops him up! Lio lands safe on the steps, then jumps back to POISON-RANA to the floor! Lio hurries into the ring, builds speed, and he DIVES! Down goes Swerve and the fans fire up again! Lio puts Swerve in, “This is Awesome as Lio climbs. Lio hits the FINAL HOUR!! Cover, TWO!! Not so final after all and Lio cannot believe it!

The fans rally up as hard as they can, and Lio storms around. Lio says it’s time! Rebound and RUSH- NO, Swerve stops the stunner with a half nelson! Lio pries that hold open but Swerve fires body shots. Swerve lifts, Lio victory rolls, hand on ropes! Nana points that out, the ref stops his count, and Swerve rolls Lio back. Half nelson, but Lio arm-drags free! BASEMENT ENZIGIRI! Lio hurries to a corner, goes up and up, but Swerve stops the rana this time! Wheelbarrow, into the half nelson! BIG PRESSURE!! Cover, Swerve wins!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

Whether or not this proves The Realest is the most dangerous, it shows he is resilient! Nana hands a mic to Swerve, and Swerve says everyone has the bright idea that now that Swerve is back, they should go after the baddest man, the former AEW World Champion. They wanna use Swerve’s name, equity and accolades to prove a point. Lio tried and failed. A couple weeks ago, Shelton Benjamin tried and failed! Seems like Swerve has to remind a lot of people whose house this is! That leads Swerve to Bobby Lashley. Like it says, Full Gear, but Swerve feels like he needs a fight with Lashley tonight! Lashley, take your ass out here right now! Swerve ain’t running, and there’s nowhere to hide!

Well here comes The Hurt Syndicate! MVP accompanies Lashley, mic in hand, but where is the Standard of Excellence? MVP tells Swerve, “If you want a fight with a member of The Syndicate, all you gotta do is ask me and I’ll set it up for ya.” Because see, The Syndicate likes Swerve a lot. And the reason they’re recruiting him is because he has so much unrealized potential. But one of the things they’ll teach Swerve… Well, maybe Lashley is ready to fight right now! The jacket is off and the sleeves are rolled up! Maybe we don’t have to wait two weeks. But there is still a lesson to learn: There is strength in numbers.

Swerve forgot that lesson, but he’ll remember. SHELTON ATTACKS FROM BEHIND! The fans boo but Shelton TOSSES Swerve out, for Lashley to CLOBBER! Lashley brings Swerve up, THRWOS him into railing, then hauls him up for knees! The fans boo as Lashley CLUBS Swerve, then THROWS him into more railing! Shelton stares Nana down while Lashley throws Swerve back into the ring. Shelton hits a DDT on Swerve! MVP CHOKES Nana with the walking stick! Nana sputters as Lashley hits a MILE HIGH SPINEBUSTER on Swerve! Lashley makes Nana watch as the HURT LOCK is clamped on!

Swerve sputters, fades, and both Swerve and Nana are going out! Refs rush up but Shelton keeps them back. Lashley drops Swerve, and MVP lets Nana crawl to him. The Hurt Syndicate step out, security keeping a safe distance. But wait! Lashley grabs Nana now! Lashley POSTS Nana! Nana tumbles to steps then floor and the fans can’t believe it! Even Lio, watching from afar, is a bit stunned. But is this what it means to do business with the Hurt Syndicate?

Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter.

Renee is with the former AEW Women’s World Champion, and Hayter says Renee looks “smashing.” Renee says right back at Hayter. But congrats on the win over Penelope Ford, so what is next? Hayter says that is a question on everyone’s lips. Because did we not think Hayter would win last week? Did Hayter not do what she said she would? And she’ll continue to do what she says she’ll do, because it is no secret that Hayter is back to right wrongs. She did some of the wrongs, but that’s for the future. For the right now, Hayter is thinking of coming after one thing. Wait, the lights go out? And a phone rings.

Julia Hart wakes up! She has a red spot on her shirt, over her heart. The phone is there, and rather old school. Julia picks up the phone, asks who it is, and it’s Brody King! He says it’s time to come home. What does he mean “come home?” She doesn’t even know where she is, there’s a blood stain on her shirt and… the phone isn’t even connected…! The lights flicker, Julia stands up but is very dizzy. She washes up, head pounding, and then the lights turn red. Julia looks down the hall and the light comes from behind a closet’s double doors. She opens the doors to see the source. The bow, the arrows, the hat…

The Princess of the Black Throne is coming home, and has she already made Hayter into the hunted?

A valiant effort from FTR, and Private Party pours one out for them. Brody & Malakai show respect by helping FTR to their feet, and they all shake hands. But now, that means only one spot remains. Will it be The Acclaimed or La Faccion Ingobernable that joins the Full Gear Fatal 4 Way?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here, and it really flew by in the middle with how they used all the story overlaps as very clear segues. Ospreay and Kyle had a great promo, and of course it turned into a brawl with the Don Callis Family and growing new United Empire or whatever it is. Kyle and Mark hesitating to fight was another good touch, and then Roddy going out there to start his match with Archer was good stuff. Falls Count Anywhere let them at least make good use of the main crowd side, and some good overbooking with The Kingdom having to counteract Cage. Great win for Roddy, and then great segue right into Cole VS Takeshita.

While I only stumbled upon the possibility last Saturday, only ONE person winning the MJF Challenge was a good choice. Cole loses out to Takeshita but it was protected because of the diamond ring helping Takeshita cheat. And we did get a good detail of Kyle coming out to make the save, and even Ricochet getting his shot in on Takeshita. Ricochet VS Takeshita is of course still the title plan there, but this was a good tease that maybe Kyle goes back to the Undisputed Kingdom. Or at the very least, Conglomeration and Kingdom work together against the Heel factions of Callis Family and Death Riders in a massive, Avengers: Endgame level match.

Speaking of, very good promos from Moxley and Orange Cassidy tonight, but when they said Moxley was taking over the TBS SuperStation, I thought they were going to film some “on location” thing and it’d be aired here on the tron. Guess they were trying to harken back to WCW and nWo with just a catchphrase or subtitle and then not do anything like that. But that aside, good brawl with Darby and the purple Sting mask jumping in. I like the details here where Yuta really is bottom of the food chain. Claudio told Yuta to shut up, the Death Rider truck almost took off without him, Yuta really needs to realize Moxley doesn’t care. But at this rate, it feels like Yuta will just double down his loyalty and that’s what costs Cassidy at Full Gear.

Great opening tag match from Bang Bang Gang VS Hangman & Christian, especially with Hook dragging Nick Wayne away and brawling with him. It still didn’t tip things in favor of Bang Bang Gang given Kip and Mother Wayne were still ringside. That puts the pressure on White going towards Full Gear, but the go-home segment will really tell us how White VS Hangman plays out. Great backstage segment with Mone, Kamille and Kris. Mone should be careful how she treats Kamille, because even one handed, Kamille is bigger and stronger. Though, Kris proved she’s as strong as them both breaking that wall. Sadly, this is all leaning towards Mone retaining at Full Gear.

Good match from Britt and Ford but of course Britt won. Deeb showing up was interesting, but a match or two from Deeb and Britt could do some good to get Britt headed for a title. Hayter was of course going to say she wants a title shot, but from Julia Hart interrupting with her own vignette, Hayter VS Hart seems like the feud that helps set one of them up for the title shot. And good promo from Mina (did she do something to her eyebrows?) and Harley. Harley is shaking off losing to Thunder Rosa to now lose to Mina. But Mina will be there on Collision as Mariah May defends her title one more time against Anna Jay, and maybe now we’ll get on the road to Mariah VS Mina.

Good promo from Jericho and his Learning Tree, and I guess it’s fine that Thanksgiving Eve Dynamite is the ROH World Championship match. ROH Final Battle won’t be until December so they can’t stretch things out that long, and it feels like the title is staying with Jericho anyway, so a cheated finish on a TV match is fine. Great stuff with the Hurt Syndicate, such as MVP’s promo with Lashley, and we got an awesome match out of Swerve VS Lio. Swerve gets a great win, but then the Syndicate of course get Swerve in a trap and beat him down. As it stand, Swerve probably turns things around next week, only to lose at Full Gear.

And awesome tag team main event from FTR VS House of Black. I’m a little surprised FTR lost, but I guess it keeps #FTRunners from having drama when they only just became friends. Plus, this is something The House of Black has needed. It’s been a bit of time since they had the trios titles, and while I don’t think Private Party loses the tag titles, just being in this Fatal 4 is a step in the right direction for Malakai & Brody. And with Julia on her way back, maybe the House of Black will rise up and get some new belts now.

My Score: 8.9/10

Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer VS Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson!

The Beautiful Madness & Dark Angle were still on the winning side last week, though not for lack of trying from Meta Four’s leading ladies. Will the Bougie Bully & Miss Jackson do better now that it’s 2v2? Or will Giulia & Vaquer be the ones putting on the brakes?

The teams sort out and Lash starts against Giulia. The fans rally up as the two step up and talk some trash. Giulia calls for the Test of Strength, but Lash taunts Giulia over her height advantage. So Giulia throws a body shot! Giulia headlocks, Lash powers up and goes to a corner. Giulia goes up and around, but Lash fights off the flying takeover. Lash powers out but Giulia BOOTS her! Lash BOOTS back! The fans fire up, Jakara tags in, and Meta Four gets Giulia up. They double whip, drop toehold, and ELBOW DROP! Jakara runs to basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Giulia is tougher than that but Jakara waistlocks.

Giulia fights up, wrenches and switches, but Jakara victory rolls! Cover, TWO! Jakara hits an arm-drag to a lateral press, TWO! Ghost pin from Giulia, TWO! The two reset and the fans cheer. Giulia then kicks low, whips Jakara to a corner, but runs into a BOOT! Jakara goes up, up and MISSILE DROPKICKS! The fans rally up and Jakara hurries to cover, TWO! Giulia is still tougher than that, but Jakara fireman’s carries. Giulia fights into an IRON OCTOPUS! The fans fire up, Jakara heads for ropes, but Vaquer tags in. The Stardom duo double whip, drop, bypasses, hurdle, drop toehold, and 619! Then SHOTGUN!

The fans fire up as Vaquer & Giulia shake hands to DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Jakara shows she’s tough, too, but Vaquer brings her around. Vaquer whips, Jakara sunset flips, but Vaquer stays up to scrape Jakara’s face! Then she drops a leg, brother! And fans fire up as the headscissors are on! Vaquer DRILLS Jakara into the mat again and again! The fans fire up while Jakara sputters. Vaquer brings Jakara up but Jakara wrenches to JAWBREAKER! Tag to Lash and she CHOPS Vaquer down! Then DECKS her! Giulia is in, IRON- NO, Lash stays up! So Vaquer SUPERKICKS! Lash is still up?!

Vaquer jumps on, but Lash has them both! DOUBLE DRIBBLE in the ropes! Lash drops Vaquer, then swings Giulia away. Tag to Jakara and she hops up onto Lash. META TOWER CROSSBODY! Jakara wipes out Giulia & Vaquer and the fans are thunderous as NXT goes to break.

NXT returns and Lash holds Vaquer up in a suplex! And then she SLAMS Vaquer at the count of ten! Then Lash kips up, tags Jakara, and sits Vaquer up. Jakara clamps on the chinlock, then shifts to a straitjacket stretch. Jakara thrashes Vaquer but Vaquer endures. The fans rally, Vaquer fights up, and Vaquer powers up to spin things around, only for Jakara to spin it right back around! Jakara then ripcords and whips Vaquer to the corner. Vaquer BOOTS Jakara, HEADBUTTS Lash, then goes up and over Jakara! Roll and hot tag to Giulia! The fans fire up as Giulia SHOTGUNS Jakara! Gijuila fires off hands!

Giulia dodges Jakara, HEABUTTS her, but here comes Lash! Giulia dodges Lash to tilt-o-whirl, and DEJA VU SUNSET BOMB! Jakara storms up to fire hands! Jakara suplexes, but Giulia counters with a snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Giulia drags Jakara right up bumps her off buckles, and she tags Vaquer. Vaquer KICKS Jakara in the face, then Giulia runs to BOOT WASH! Giulia feeds Jakara to Vaquer’s SOBAT! Giulia BOOTS, and then they wrench, crisscross, and DOUBLE BACK SUPLEX! Cover, Lash breaks it! Lash talks trash, but Giulia hops on for a SLEEPER! Lash flails, Giulia shifts around, Vaquer SUPERKICKS Lash!

Vaquer hits a CODE BREAKEAR and Lash tumbles out of the ring! Giulia goes to the apron, and she MISSILE DROPKISK! Lash hits steel steps on the way down! But Jakara O’Conner Rolls deep! TWO!! Vaquer runs up, Jakara gets around, but Vaquer switches! Snapmare into buckles, and Giulia tags in. Giulia climbs up to MISSILE DROPKICK! Jakara flounders but Giulia feeds her to the PRIMERA BACKBREAKER! Then Giulia & Vaquer give Jakara a GOLDEN TRIGGER! Cover, Giulia & Vaquer win!

Winners: Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer, by pinfall

Jakara was ready for action but no one could stare down that double barrel and survive! Will Giulia & Vaquer prove together or apart, they are going to run NXT? Blake Howard interviews them in the ring and says they’ve been a great team. But for the next few weeks, they’ll each be in an Iron Survivor Challenge qualifier. The question is: If they both make it to Deadline, what can we expect to see? Giulia says she knew this day would come. Vaquer says, “See you at Deadline.” The amigas area ready to fight it out for the gold, will either of them win that 25 minute marathon?

2024 Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier: Cora Jade VS Sol Ruca!

Speaking of that grueling golden opportunity, #GenerationJade and the Sol Surfer want that first spot! Will Cora prove she’s back and better than ever? Or will Sol finally catch that wave and ride it to the top?

NXT returns and Cora makes her entrance. The bell rings and Cora hops up on a corner as a defense. The fans rally for Sol while Cora pouts. Cora hops down, storms up on Sol, but Sol gets around, tripos Cora, but Cora narrowly avoids the superkick. Sol hops up on a corner to taunt Cora now. The fans fire up, and Cora says clever. Get down! Sol says make her. Cora storms up but sol gets around her again, for a BIG lift and FACEBUSTER! Sol then stands on Cora to surf! The fans cheer as Sol pops ‘n’ locks then hops off, to SUPERKICK! Cora flounders, Sol whips her to ropes, but Cora reverses. Sol holds ropes but Cora SHINING WIZARDS!

The fans boo Cora but she runs to DOUBLE STOMP! Cover, TWO! Sol stays in this and goes to ropes, but Cora storms up. Cora bumps Sol off buckles, then again, then she stomps a mudhole in. The ref counts, Cora lets off, but then she comes back to put Sol on ropes. The fans rally but Cora CHOKES Sol! Cora runs side to side to ELBOW Sol in the back! Cover, TWO! Cora is growing frustrated already but the fans sing for Sol. Cora drags Sol up, but Sol JAWBREAKERS back! Cora wobbles, Sol waistlocks, but Cora bucks the O’Conner. So Sol ROCKS her first! Cora ROCKS back, but Sol ROCKS Cora again!

Cora storms up, but Sol slips around to CLOBBER Cora! Sol springboards to CROSSBODY! Cora flounders to a corner. Sol runs in but Cora puts her on the apron. Sol ROUNDHOUSES Cora, then springboards, but Cora trips her up! Sol flops, Cora underhooks, FUTURE- NO, Sol powers out! Sol baits Cora into a corner and Cora hits her knee! SOL SNATCHER!! Cover, Sol wins!

Winner: Sol Ruca, by pinfall (advances to the Iron Survivor Challenge)

Cora was talking a big game, but it all caught up to her! Sol punches her ticket, will she be the one going for gold in 2025?

Je’Von Evans & Cedric Alexander talk backstage.

They just saw as we all did, Sol is the first woman to qualify for Deadline. If Je’Von beats Lexis King, he’s locked in. If Cedric beats Wes Lee, Cedric’s locked in. It’ll be tough, but they’ll LOCK IN~! They head out, and we see Karmen Petrovic talking with Dion Lennox. Karmen shares that her favorite color is yellow, but who doesn’t like yellow? It’s such a nice color. That is, until Ashante THEE Adonis and his yellow beanie had to go and distract her during her match. Uh-huh… Oh, wait, what was the question again? Color. Right, right. Red’s her new favorite color. Cool. Because of that beanie? Yeah.

Brinley Reece walks in and hopes Karmen is not talking about Adonis. No! No no no. Karmen is getting to know Dion. Dion, what else do you wanna know? Uh… Adonis storms in and asks Karmen, “Really?” This is what they’re doing now? With his best friend of all people! Dion says hold on, when were they best friends? Bruh, since last week, remember? Dion says this is just about them getting involved in each other’s matches. Brin says truth. Dion suggests they should try to be a tag team so they can learn to work together. What? Brin likes that idea! Is Dion free next week? Cuz Brin is. Dion says sure, but-

Karmen asks what Brin’s up to. Brin says Karmen knows she wants to. Adonis says Karmen knows she wants to. Karmen tells him not to tell her what to do. Dion is worried already. But the mixed tag challenge is set! Will Adonis & Karmen be a modern Beauty & The Beast? Or is this going to be a more tragic love story?

Ava Raine holds an NXT Tag Team Division meeting.

We have OTM, Hank ‘n’ Tank, Tyson & Tyriek, Myles & Heights, The D’Angelo Family, and even Gallus, all in the boardroom. Ava says she has invited them all here to discuss the state of the tag division. Recently, Fraxiom has been retaining their titles, but she is looking for the next team to step up. Everyone speaks up, but what is Josh Briggs doing here? Ava wants every man in here to show the world what this division is about. They all have the background to succeed. Gallus are former NXT UK & NXT Tag Team Champions. Hank ‘n’ Tank are each D1 NCAA Football standouts. Myles Borne is a D1 NCAA Wrestler and Tavion Heights is an Olympian.

Ty & Ty could shotput cars over the building any day they want. And The D’Angelos… make people disappear. Whoa, whoa, Ava. Allegedly. But Tank says let’s get after it. HONK HONK. Tavion says they’re just teacher’s pets. Lucien Price says he & Bronco Nima will make them think twice about putting two singles guys against the champs. Ty & Ty say don’t talk about what you can’t back up. The teams all bicker but Ava says yes, this is the energy she wants. But don’t tell her, show her! Meeting adjourned. The teams head out, but who heads up the ladder towards the Undeniable Truth & Jersery Island Rocket?

2024 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier: Wes Lee VS Cedric Alexander!

The corrupted Cardiac Kid couldn’t crush Je’Von’s hopes, but maybe he can get some payback taking out “Uncle Ceddy.” Will Wes make Deadline must-see? Or will PRIMED Alexander be locked in?

NXT returns and Cedric makes his entrance. The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up as fans rally, and Cedric shoves Wes down. Wes gets up and Cedric eggs him on. The two reset, tie up, and Cedric again shoves Wes back. Wes is annoyed but Cedric steps right to him. Wes uses ropes as defense so Cedric backs off. The two reset, tie up, but Wes waistlocks, headlocks, and grinds the hold. Cedric powers up but can’t power out. Cedric slips out the back to wrangle Wes with a headlock of his own. Cedric thrashes the hold and Wes flails. The fans rally, Wes fights around, and rolls to a cover. ONE, and Cedric holds on.

Wes fights up to his feet, powers up and puts Cedric on ropes. The ref counts, Wes lets off slowly, and he swings! Cedric dodges to headlock. Cedric hits a takeover, and he grinds Wes down again. Wes endures, fights up, and powers Cedric down. Wes fires a body shot, then cartwheels to have an armlock. Wes wrenches, wristlocks, but Cedric rolls, rolls, and handsprings. Cedric trips Wes, then speeds up. Wes drops, bypasses, and slides under. Wes rolls back to RANA! Cedric gest up but Wes trips him! SENTON! The fans fire up while Wes shakes it off. Cedric goes to a corner, Wes runs up, but Cedric puts him on the apron!

Cedric UPPERCUTS Wes, ROCKS him, then blocks both shots. Wes tries a shoulder but he gets kick after kick after kick! Wes blocks a kick, tells Cedric to stop kicking him, but Cedric CHOPS him! Cedric then FLIES! Not the cleanest hit but both men are down. The ref checks Cedric but he seems okay, and NXT goes to break.

NXT returns and Wes wrangles Cedric with an armlock. The fans rally up as Cedric fires hands! Cedric ROCKS Wes, but Wes WRINGS the arm out! Cedric writhes, Wes runs and handsprings, but Cedric DROPKICKS Wes upside-down! The fans are thunderous while both men are down! Cedric rises, shakes out the bad arm, and he winds up to CHOP! Wes staggers but Cedric CHOPS him down! Wes gets up, Cedric CHOPS him again! Cedric brings Wes up to CHOP and whip, to then kitchen sink knee! And basement DROPKICK! Cedric kips up and fires up, and the fans are with him! Wes flounders to the apron, so Cedric goes out to join him!

Cedric catches Wes to an APRON URENAGE! Wes flounders back in, the fans duel, and Cedric lines up the shot. GET OVER HERE! Cover, TWO!! Wes survives the tornado flatliner but the fans know “This is Awesome!” Cedric brings Wes up, suplexes, but Wes blocks! Wes wrenches free, but ducks a lariat! Ripcord and SUPERKICK! And then mule kick! Wes handsprings for the CARDIAC KICK!! Cover, TWO?!? Wes is as shocked as anyone that Cedric survives! Wes seethes as he drags Cedric to a drop zone. Wes climbs, aims, and 450- NO, Wes bails out as Cedric moves! Wes turns around into a LARIAT!

The fans are thunderous and Cedric rises again. Cedric storms over to Wes, waistlocks, but Wes grabs a buckle pad! The pad comes lose, Cedric back suplexes, but Wes lands out! Wes throws the pad at Cedric but it’s just a pillow. Cedric scoops, MICHINOKU DRIVER! The ref’s busy with the buckle pad! Late count on the cover, TWO!! Wes survives and Cedric cannot believe it! The fans boo the ref but Cedric just goes to a corner. Cedric focuses, runs up, but Wes drop toeholds him into the bare buckle! The fans boo but Wes takes advantage of the situation! METEORA!! Cover, Wes wins!

Winner: Wes Lee, by pinfall (advances to the Iron Survivor Challenge)

The Cardiac Kid is crafty, turning opportunity into victory! Will he do it all over again at Deadline?

Tony D’Angelo enjoys a nice dinner.

He asks if that thing at the docks was handled. All done, boss. Good. But in steps Shawn Spears & Brooks Jensen. The Don sighs and says he doesn’t like this new obsession Spears has. The Chair Man says it is called being persistent. Yeah, persistently annoying. Well, get used to it, Tony. Spears doesn’t care if he’s The Don, it’s Tony’s other title Spears wants. Tony dismisses his men, and Spears says he’s seen all sorts of guys come in here, sit in Tony’s chair, attack Tony, turn the place upside-down. Spears has let Tony’s disrespect slide twice. There will not be a third. Oh, Spears let Tony slide?

Tony will cut to the chase. Spears wants the North American Championship, right? Spears says Tony’s built one hell of a family, especially after winning the title. The family has been motivated to grow, but Spears feels that title will do the same for him. Tony reminds Spears it took him three YEARS and slaying a monster in Oba Femi to get this title. Yes, Tony played Oba. Good for him. Tony’s stronger than ever. Which is why Brooks Jensen is the one to challenge for the belt. Tony says Spears is a weird guy. He wants a title shot for someone else? Why not think for yourself, kid? Why’s Jensen always following someone else?

Jensen gets heated but Spears has him stand down. Spears doesn’t question how The Don does things, so The Don should not question The Chair Man. Tony says it is smart, having the kid fight Spears’ battles. Spears says intelligence only gets us so far. The difference between Spears and everyone else is that he is starving. The most successful people are hungry to be more, to do more, to have more. And the only thing in NXT that will satisfy Spears’ appettite is the North American Championship. Now… thank you for your time. Spears & Jensen head out, but when and where will they get their shot at The Don?

In the parking lot, Spears tells Jensen that is how you deal with the boss. Isn’t that right, Nico? Yes, it is. Wait, who is this now on Spears’ side? Is The Chair Man’s influence growing in the shadows of NXT?

Backstage interview with Kelani Jordan.

Byron Saxton is with The Standout and notes tonight is her rematch for the Women’s North American Championship against Fallon Henley. Her thoughts? Kelani has been waiting for this since Halloween Havoc. The moment that bell rings, Kelani’s right on Fallon. It doesn’t matter if Jacy’s there, if Jazmyn’s there, if they hop on the apron, they can all get it! All she knows is, she’s getting her title back! But speaking of Jacy & Jazmyn, they step in and Jazmyn mockingly asks, “Will you?” Because Kelani is a great athlete and all, but she is not beating Fallon. And if for whatever reason Fallon can’t get it done, Jacy & Jazmyn will make sure she does.

The Fatal Influence heads out, but Kelani says it’s on sight! Will the inaugural Women’s North American Champion become the TWO-TIME champion tonight? Or will she and NXT all be found under the influence?

Trick Williams is here!

The fans fire up as Tricky Two-Time Two-Time is back, and he grabs the mic to echo Booker T. But Trick knows we already know, Philly was crazy last week. With Deadline around the corner, just a reminder, that was when Trick had the Iron Survivor Challenge and things looked real good for Trick Willy. The fans cheer that. But that’s not what Trick is here to talk about. Last week, Trick & Bubba put Ethan Page through a table, but no, that’s not what he is here to talk about, either. Trick is here to talk about Ridge Holland. Ridge pinned Trick and thinks he got one over on him. Newsflash, Ridge: Trick Williams ain’t going out like that!

That is it say, get your punk- Chase U? Andre Chase comes down from the student section to apologize to Trick. Chase has no beef with Trick, but he still has beef with Ridge. Chase ain’t done with Ridge, not by a long shot. The fans cheer that and Trick knows that. After everything Ridge has done to Chase and Chase U, that’s clear. But as Trick thinks about it, even after everything Ridge did to Mr. Chase, Chase is still back on his feet. The fans cheer that. Trick says he hasn’t really known Chase well, but let’s all take a moment to recognize Mr. Chase for everything he’s done. The fans cheer that, and even chant, “Mr. Chase! Mr. Chase!”

Trick says Mr. Chase is a staple here in NXT. He’s done just about everything here. Well, okay, not everything. Trick hates to say it, but Chase ain’t had a shot at this title. So how about this? For one moment only, let’s forget what Ridge has done to Chase, and- Wait, here comes Yorkshire Grit. Ridge will not let this happen! Chase getting an NXT Championship title shot!? And Trick calls himself a champion?! Ridge steps into the ring while fans boo, but Ridge says Trick is just ducking Ridge to face a guy Ridge put in an ambulance! “Professor” needs to learn that Ridge has moved on. And Trick, Ridge made the famous ECW Arena fall dead silent when he pinned Trick!

We all know that Ridge is the biggest threat to the title! Chase says hold on, wait one second! After everything Ridge put Chase U through, Chase wants one more match! The fans cheer that! Ridge says nope. Chase says he’ll put the university on the line! If Ridge wins, it’ll be his! What!? Ridge says he doesn’t care about Chase’s little school. Chase gambled it away, won it back, and then some. The only thing Ridge cares about is the NXT Championship. Trick says hold on, he gets it. Ridge wants a chance at the title, and Chase wants his chance to whoop Ridge’s ass. Trick says here’s an idea: Let’s talk to Ava, and set up Ridge VS Chase! Winner goes on to Deadline!

The fans like the sound of that! Trick says he won’t lie, he’s pulling for Chase. After everything he’s been through and all the hard work, everything he’s overcome, with Chase U STILL here for him, with NXT here for him, that is a connection! A relationship! One with the people, with Duke Hudson, Riley Osborne & Thea Hail! Ridge says fine, he’ll take that. Wait, take what? All that Trick just said. If Ridge beats Chase, Chase’s friendships with Riley, Duke and Thea, it’s ALL GONE. Chase U will be gone, and Ridge will walk right into Deadline to challenge for the title while Chase has NOTHING.

For a man that could never win the big one, that’s quite the gamble, Mr. Chase. What’s he gonna do? The fans boo Ridge’s cruel stakes, and Chase is torn. But Chase says Ridge is on! Next week, Ridge gets an Andre Chase University sized ass whooping! Ridge DECKS Chase! Then he goes for Trick! Trick hits Ridge with a BOOKEND! The fans fire up and spell it out! “C! H! A! S! E! U!” Trick and Chase both stomp it out, and Ridge runs away! But will Ridge do far more than just win a title opportunity next week?

Jaida Parker speaks.

“Okay, Sol, I see you. Congrats, baby, you qualified. But best believe that’s the closest you get to being called the Iron Survivor. Because I know whoever they put in front of me, I will qualify, and I will have my hand raised, just like last week when I smashed that brick on Lola’s skull. So to Sol and whatever three other little ladies end up in that ring with me, it don’t matter if I start, if I come in the middle of the match, or if I’m in last, Jaida Parker is gonna finish it and leave Deadline as THE Iron Survivor. Clock it.”

Josh Briggs speaks with Ava Raine.

Briggs says that during his time in Japan for Pro-Wrestling Noah, Yoshiki Inamura really impressed him. Inamura thanks Josh-san, and says that it is his honor to be part of an NXT show. But wait, Eddie Thorpe barges in. He’s sick of being blown off! First was the stuff with Rhea Ripley, then with last week’s Deadline announcement. He just needs five minutes, please. Ava apologizes to Briggs & Inamura, they leave, and Ava wants Eddie to understand. Eddie says she doesn’t understand. He needs something! Yes, she does understand, which is why he’s in an Iron Survivor Challenge qualifier.

Eddie thanks Ava for this, heads out, but who will the Alpha Wolf have to make it through if he wants that golden ticket?

Adriana Rizzo VS Nikkita Lyons!

The Don has a target on his back, but Big Rizz is dealing with the one put on hers by the Lyoness. Will Rizzo win big for The Family? Or will Lyons’ roar be deafening?

NXT returns and Rizzo makes her entrance. The bell rings and the two run up to tie up. Lyons puts Rizzo on ropes, Rizzo slips away, and Rizzo SLAPS Lyons! The fans fire up but Lyons is pissed! Lyons KICKS Rizzo, puts her on the apron, but Rizzo RAMS in! Rizzo slingshots up and over, but Lyons stays up. Lyons drags Rizzo right up, they fire forearms back and forth, but Rizzo gets the edge! Rizzo rabbit punches, then she shoves Lyons into a corner! Rizzo DROPKCISK Lyons, runs in, but is put back on the apron. Lyons stops the shoulder tackle this time to CLUB Rizzo! Rizzo Rizzo stays up to hit back!

Rizzo climbs, leaps, but Lyons sidesteps! FULL NELSON! Rizzo flails, so Lyons thrashes her against the ropes! The ref reprimands, but Lyons drags Rizzo to center. Rizzo endures as Lyons throws her around more. The fans rally up but Lyons SLAMS Rizzo down! Lyons stalks Rizzo to a corner, taunts her, then RIPCORD SUPLEXES her! Cover, TWO! Rizzo stays in this but Lyons drags her up again. Lyons whips, but Rizzo manages to reverse! Lyions botty bumps in return! Lyons has Rizzo in ropes, then HIP ATTACKS again and again! The fans are torn as Rizzo flops back. Lyons storms back in to cover, TWO!

Lyons stays on Rizzo with a seated full nelson. The fans rally for Rizzo as she endures, but Lyons thrashes her around. Rizzo fights up, the fans rally, but Lyons wrangles her back down. Rizzo keeps fighting, even as Lyons leans on her. Lyons taunts Rizzo but Rizzo is up again! Rizzo powers up to arm-drag free! The fans fire up but Lyons hurries after Rizzo. Rizzo UP KICKS! And then ELBOWS Lyons! Rizzo runs to throw forearm after forearm! Lyons staggers around, Rizzo knocks her over! Rizzo goes to suplex, but that’s too much Lyons to lift! Rizzo dodges a haymaker to springboard CROSSBODY!

The fans fire up as Rizzo kips up! Rizzo roars, runs, and THESZ PRESS! Fast hands rain down, then Rizzo covers, TWO! Lyons stays in this but Rizzo covers again, TWO! Rizzo whips, Lyons reverses. Lyons runs up but into a BOOT! Rizzo goes up, up and leaps, FLYING THESZ PRESS! But Lyons rolls through! HEEL KICK! Rizzo flounders and Lyons goes to the corner. Lyons climbs, roars, and then hits the LYONS ROAR! Cover, Lyons wins!

Winner: Nikkita Lyons, by pinfall

Rizzo put up a fight, but her lionheart could not stop Nikkita’s lion strength! Wait, Rizzo gets the trust crowbar! CLONK! Down goes Lyons! That’s how they do it in the D’Angelo neighborhoods! Rizzo says now they’re even! Will Rizzo let Lyons have this win if it means parting ways?

Andre Chase returns backstage.

And Chase U runs up to ask what the hell! Putting the school on the line? What’s that about? Chase tells Riley & Thea that high risk means high reward. Duke asks how that worked out last time. They’ve had his back through it all, but this is too much! Chase says he appreciates and values their opinions, but Chase U was built on taking risks. Like taking a risk on a smug Aussie when no one else would trust him, and that man became MVP. Or how about a young lady who became a grown-ass woman? Or even a prospect from the UK that now soars with the highest of fliers? Bring it in.

Chase U huddles up, and Mr. Chase says they’ve been through it all, and together. He won’t let anyone or anything break them up. As far as Chase personally, he’s never had an NXT Championship match. Next week, Chase gets that opportunity. And then Chase U will ride the highest of highs, just trust him. Mr. Chase heads out, and Duke says this could end up the lowest of lows. Riley says Chase is gambling with their future, again. Thea is speechless as she shakes her head. But will the gamble pay off? Or will Ridge ruin what little Andre Chase has left?

Zaria speaks.

“Some say I’m a mystery. From where I’m standing, there is no mystery. I’m a fearless warrior, a destructive force, that has come to NXT to rip and tear. Iron Survivor Challenger. Five superstars entrenched in combat to see who is left standing when the clock runs out. My kind of fun. I enjoy inciting chaos. I thrive in carnage! And after Deadline, there will be no more mystery to who is Zaria.” The Agent of Change is ready to earn a spot, will she go all the way to earn a title shot against Roxanne Perez?

2024 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier: Je’Von Evans VS Lexis King!

The Young OG was hoping Unc was gonna make it through, but Wes Lee had different plans. Will Je’Von get even with Wes by also qualifying? Or will the Drama King finally head for the throne of NXT?

NXT returns and Lexis makes his entrance. The bell rings and the two tie up. Lexis rolls Je’Von, ONE, but Je’Von sunset flips! TWO, and Lexis goes for an arm. Lexis wrenches, wristlocks, but Je’Von rolls, kips up, cartwheels, handsprings, and wrenches back to wristlock. Lexis fights up, rolls, cartwheels, then rolls, and KICKS Je’Von! The fans cheer, then things speed up. Lexis drops down, hurdles, but Je’Von leaps over. Then Je’Von springboards to roll Lexis up. TWO, and Lexis dodges. Lexis drops onto the drop down, O’Conner! TWO, and Je’Von trips Lexis! Cover, ONE! Lexis sweeps and covers, ONE!

The two reset and the fans cheer this technical exchange. They tie up. Je’Von headlocks, but Lexis pulls hair a bit. Lexis powers up and out, but Je’Von runs him over. Cover, TWO! Je’Von keeps moving, he handsprings over but Lexis RAMS low. Lexis waistlocks, Je’Von slips around to facelock, then he goes and BOUNCY RANAS! Lexis staggers up into a DROPKICK! Lexis bails out, the fans fire up, and Je’Von builds speed! Je’Von DIVES! Down goes Lexis at the ramp and the fans fire up more! Je’Von puts Lexis in, then springboards, but Lexis ducks under! Lexis wrenches, whips, but Je’Von reverses.

Lexis goes up and over, keeps moving, but Je’Von jumps, just not enough! Lexis accidently gets Je’Von in the OGs. Lexis wants to cover off the mishap, but the good guy in him says no, that’s not fair. Lexis lets Je’Von catch his breath while NXT goes to break.

NXT returns again and Lexis has Je’Von in a HALF CRAB! The fans rally for Je’Von as he endures, and he fights to turn over. Je’Von kicks at Lexis with his free leg, and Lexis staggers back. Je”von swings, Lexis gets around to back supelx. Je’Von lands out to CHOP! And CHOP! And whip! Lexis reverses, Je’Von LARIATS! The fans fir eup as Je’Von rallies with elbows, then goe sMatrix to STUNNER! Je’Von holnds on to then turn and suplex! Kip up and the fans fire up! Je’Von goes to the corner, to the apron, and he springboards back in, FLYING CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Lexis survives but Je’Von stays focused.

Je’Von goes up a corner, takes aim, and he MOON- NO, he has to roll through as Lexis moves! Lexis SUPERKICKS! Cover, TWO!! Je’Von survives that shot and Lexis taunts him, “Who’s the best now?!” Lexis SLAPS Je’Von, so Je’Von SLAPS back! The fans rally as they fire forearms back and forth. Lexis CHOPS, Je’Von SUPER PUNCHES! Lexis BOOTS Je’Von, but Je’Von REBOUND ENZIGIRIS! The fans fire up as Je’Von goes up and up and FIVE STAR FROG SPLASHES!! Cover, TWO!! Je’Von hurries to bring Lexis up! Leixs wrenches, hops on, BACKSTABBER! Then Lexis half nelsons, fisherman, BUSTER!! Cover, TWO!!!

The fans fire up as Je’Von survives! Lexis grows frustrated but the fans love “NXT! NXT!” making this the match. Lexis runs up, into a SUPERKICK from Je’Von! Je’Von goes up, up and SKY TWISTER! Cover, Je’Von wins!

Winner: Je’Von Evans, by pinfall (advances to the Iron Survivor Challenge)

A standing ovation for The Young OG and Drama King, but better than this match is Je’Von showing Lexis respect. Lexis shows it back and the two hug it out. Will Je’Von make sure to bounce his way right to the top of NXT with Deadline?

Nathan Frazer & Axiom are watching backstage.

The NXT Tag Team Champions have to admit, that was good. Wes Lee and Je’Von Evans are the first two into the Iron Survivor Challenge, that match is shaping up. Plus, Ava had her talk with the tag division so- Frazer says that is down the line. Maybe now is a good a time as any to say… Frazer talked with Ava, he’s got a qualifier! Pretty cool, right? Axiom asks, “What?!” Uh, what does he mean, “What?” Frazer’s gonna win his way into the Iron Survivor, win the Iron Survivor, then win the NXT Championship. Axiom can’t believe this is happening again! Every team in NXT is breathing down their neck and Frazer wants to be in the Iron Survivor!?

Frazer wants Axiom to calm down. It’s not like they won’t be working out together. Plus, Axiom has been in that match before, so maybe he could give Frazer some tips. Axiom has a headache. Well, take a deep breath and think about it. Frazer leaves before Axiom can say more, and OTM steps in. His tag partner’s after singles gold now? Is everything good? That doesn’t sit right with Price & Nima. But Stacks & Luca step in to say OTM should mind their own business. Worry about yourselves! Refs hurry in before this goes from arguing to fighting, but will OTM and The Family be first to fight for a title shot?

Adonis and Dion talk backstage.

This Mixed Tag thing… Did Dion tell Karmen about Megan, Kesha and Samantha, did he? No! See? That’s why he’s Adonis’ boy. Oh, so now they’re boys again? Adonis says don’t even worry about that, let’s go. Dion follows Adonis, and Lexis storms in with some frustration. Another loss… But Hank ‘n’ Tank walk over to say Lexis did good out there. Dante Chen walks in, too, and says that was indeed honorable. Lexis chose honor over glory, and that’s what matters. Just keep your head up. Lexis thanks the guys for saying that, but Gallus walks in. Wolfgang says they’re handing out pats on the back for losses now, eh? Pathetic.

With that attitude, Gallus has one less team to worry about. Oh, one less? No, Hank ‘n’ Tank are the team to worry about. They stepped up to The Good Brothers, they can step up to this. Lexis has everyone settle down, but the tag division is at a boiling point. Who gets burned while the other ones head for gold?

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Fallon Henley w/ The Fatal Influence VS Kelani Jordan!

It literally took all three of them to take this title at Halloween Havoc, and it seems Jacy & Jazmyn are more than happy to make it all three of them again to keep it. Will Kelani be able to stand out and take back what was taken from her? Or is there no stopping the Fatal Influence?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see whose influence is stronger!

The bell rings and the two tie up. They go around, end up on ropes, and then end up in a corner. Fallon powers up but Kelani throws her down. They stay tied up, stand again, and now Fallon throws Kelani. The collar ‘n’ elbow is in there tight, and Kelani puts Fallon back on ropes. The ref counts, both women let go, but then they tie up again! Kelani arm-drags, leg sweeps, covers, ONE! Fallon arm-drags, but Kelani avoids a sweep! Fallon CHOPS, but that just pisses Kelani off! The fans rally up while the two argue. Fallon shoves, then dodges to headlock, Kelani powers up and out, CLOBBERS Fallon, and fans fire up again!

Kelani runs up, slingshot arm-drags, then DROP- NO, Fallon dodges! Fallon stands Kelani up to RAM her into the corner! And RAM her again! And again! The ref counts, Fallon stops, and then Fallon whips corner to corner. Kelani goes up but Fallon catches her, only for Kelani to swing and RANA! Fallon staggers up, into a DROPKICK! Fallon bails out, the fans rally for Kelani, and Kelani storms right up to ropes. Fallon moves as Kelani slingshots, so Kelani lands safe on the apron. But Fallon YANKS Kelani down, and SMACKS her off the desk! The fans boo but Kelani blocks the next bump to BACK HAND Fallon!

Kelani hops up onto the desk, to QUEBRADA Fallon down! The fans fire up and Kelani rises again. Kelani vows to get that belt back, and NXT goes to break.

NXT returns and Kelani fights a headlock. Kelani fires body shots, then arm-drags free. Fallon runs up, Kelani dodges and comes back, DOUBLE FACEBUSTERS bring them both down! The fans fire up while both women rise. Fallon ROCKS Kelani, Kelani ROCKS Fallon! Wait, a quick picture in picture shows Ty & Ty are now brawling with Myles & Heights! Forearms and haymakers everywhere, and back in the ring, Kelani has the edge! Kelani whips, then LARIATS! And LARIATS again! Cartwheel and BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up while both women are down, and then Kelani kips up! Jacy is mad but Kelani gets moving!

Kelani hits some ROLLING THUNDER SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO! Jacy is furious that Kelani hit that at all, but Kelani puts Fallon in a drop zone. But Fallon YANKS Kelani off the corner! Then Fallon goes up, up, and BLOCKBUSTERS! Fallon keeps moving, FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Kelani toughs it out but Fallon drags her up. Fallon goes to suplex but Kelani RAMS her into a corner! Kelani puts Fallon up top, then she climbs to fire forearms! The fans fire up but Fallon shoves Kelani back. Kelani hurries to GAMANGIRI! Fallon wobbles, Kelani climbs! Kelani has Fallon up top for a SUPER SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!!

Fallon survives and Jacy can breathe again. Kelani shrugs it off, goes back up, and she 450- NO, Kelani rolls through as Fallon moves! Fallon then body scissor cradles! TWO!! Kelani escapes, Fallon hurries to her feet. Kelani wrenches Fallon around and around, ANGLE SLAM! Fallon is in a drop zone, Kelani hits the ONE OF A KIND SAULT! Cover, Jacy gives Fallon the ROPEBREAK!! The fans boo, only the ref missed that one! Kelani knows it, too! So she WRECKS Jacy with a dropkick! Jazmyn gets up, Kelani DUMPS her down! And SUPERKICKS! Fallon runs up, Kelani waistlocks! O’Conner Roll, TWO!

Kelani runs into Jacy’s ROLLING ELBOW!! Another cheat! FALLON FAMOUSER!! Cover, Fallon wins!

Winner: Fallon Henley, by pinfall (still NXT Women’s North American Champion)

They warned Kelani and then followed through, ALL THREE Influencers got involved to keep this title from Kelani! And if that’s how they operate, then- Wait, OTM snatch the mics. They tell Frazer, go ahead and try the Iron Survivor, because Price & Nima are gonna take those tag titles! A warning to the rest of this division: They’re not easy to find. Speaking of, Luca & Stacks go right after them! The fans fire up as this brawl happens right by the desk, and Price SLAMS Luca on the desk! But Luca’s right up to throw more hands! Cameramen get knocked over as GALLUS now joins in, incensed by OTM’s words! And here come Hank ‘n’ Tank!

The fans are fired up as the tag division brawls all over the desk and ringside area! Refs and security rush out here but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” And fight is what they’re all doing! Who rises up from the chaos to go for gold?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT to start towards Deadline, all thriller, no filler. Giulia & Vaquer VS Lash & Jakara was a great opening tag match, but naturally it was Giulia & Vaquer winning. They’re both getting Iron Survivor Challenge qualifiers, so I’m pretty sure they’re both getting in on that match. Great match from Sol and Cora, and it’s actually a little surprising Cora lost. At the same time, Sol’s been the go-to for big matches, she’ll make a solid part of this match. Good promo from Jaida to call Sol and pretty much everyone else out, and it feels like she’s also a shoe-in for entering the match. Then Zaria and her promo, she’s a shoe-in for the fifth, and this is going to be the best Iron Survivor match period.

The men’s match is still shaping up, though, with Wes and Je’Von bringing their grudge into the match. Great matches from Wes VS Cedric and Je’Von VS Lexis, especially with Lexis adding to his Face turn. Refusing to jump on an accidental low blow was a great touch, and I appreciated other superstars, such as past rival, Dante Chen, seeing the change Lexis is trying to make. Briggs bringing in Yoshiki Inamura from NOAH is cool, I’m sure we’ll see great things from Inamura. Eddy Thorpe getting an Iron Survivor qualifier, sadly feels like he might just be putting someone else over but I guess we’ll wait and see.

The D’Angelo Family was really busy tonight. Not only the tag division stuff, but Tony was properly confronted by Spears & Jensen tonight. That was definitely an interesting move for Spears to say Jensen gets the title shot, but obviously that’s because Spears still wants to be THE NXT Champion. And now with this “Nico” guy, Spears’ group could grow into a full faction with even a tag team and a female member to spread across the divisions. Rizzo VS Lyons was a really good match, but of course Lyons won the match for being that much bigger and stronger. Rizzo getting Lyons with the crowbar after was a great touch, though.

Great stuff in the tag division. Fraxiom has dysfunction again as Frazer still wants to try and grab singles gold. This has to be the time that costs them the gold and their friendship, they’ve dragged this out long enough. That tag brawl to end the show was awesome, I wonder if this leads to a gauntlet to win the title match. Or maybe a tournament? We did see teams kinda pair off and pick on each other, so those are easy first round match-ups right there. This can go the three weeks we have left so that it goes from 8 to 4 to 2, the finals being on the go-home and the winners immediately turning around to face Fraxiom on Saturday, December 7th.

Speaking of the closing, very good main event from Kelani and Fallon, but of course Jacy & Jazmyn influence the outcome. This is kind of textbook for any group Jacy’s ever been in, and unless we’re talking Zaria or another powerhouse, I don’t see someone taking this title from the Influence for some time. Well, either that or we get the Face flipside and have women who stick together to counter the Fatal Influence. Maybe Karmen and Brinley can try that, provided this story with Adonis doesn’t tear everyone apart. The Mixed Tag will be a good match, but I feel like Karmen and Adonis will be very dysfunctional and Dion & Brin win.

And really good stuff in this NXT Championship story. Trick wanting to give Chase a match is noble of him, but Ridge does have a point that Chase hasn’t exactly earned it when he always loses “the big one.” Chase putting the university, aka the faction, on the line is definitely big stuff. I can’t believe this could be the end of the honestly most entertaining group in NXT probably ever, a real silver-lining during NXT 2.0 and the nonsense Vince shoved into it. But maybe there will be a new silver lining that, should Chase lose, the members can break out and go for titles on their own, such as Duke for the NXT North American should Spears actually get that title off Tony.

My Score: 8.9/10
