It’s time to put up or shut up for Mustache Mountain and the Grizzled Young Veterans!

I’m kind of bummed that Ripley vs Niven was done this week, I was hoping it would be part of TakeOver: Cardiff, but this was a really great match. Ripley is rough as a cob, but so is Niven and Niven can MOVE for a big girl. This match went long for both these women, but I didn’t mind because it was so good, even with the rough spots. I’m happy Niven won, but I hope this isn’t the end for this feud because I want to see more of it.

I’m still not totally sure about the Kenny Williams/Noam Dar feud. It doesn’t feel…genuine. I swear Williams was looking at Dar just off camera before the whole thing started. I’m sure whenever this match happens, it’ll be good, but I’m just not feeling it.

Poor Jack Starz, were any of us surprised by this match? No? I will give Starz credit for his pluckiness in trying to scrap with Alexander Wolfe, but this match was done before the bell rung. Still, Starz showed a lot of guts, maybe one day those guts will get him a win instead of just an ass-kicking.

I know we’re not supposed to like Gallus, but I do. These guys have been the top dogs on NXT UK from the start and they’re so great to watch. I’m really excited to see them vs the Wild Hunt, especially with Mastiff in The Hunt.

Toni Storm will be back next week and I’m excited for that, wonder if we’ll get her vs KLR then as well.

Jazzy Gabert is a BEAST and I mean that in the nicest possible way. They are definitely building her up as an unstoppable fighter, probably to face Toni Storm down the road. I’m still not seeing the point of Jinny though. I just don’t get it. I’ll give Gabert’s opponents props for not being too scared to fight, but that was ugly.

The Kassius Ohno promo was good, but I’ve just never been into him, no matter what gimmick he has. He just seems like one of those former jock dads that thinks he can still go. I am intrigued about him vs Mark Andrews, that could be a good match.

It’s time for the rematch! GYV vs Mustache Mountain! Like the first bout between these teams, this was SUCH a good match! GYV take a lot of flack, some of it deserved, but they are a great heel tag team, but the fact that NXT UK has been going for a year or so and Mustache Mountain have not been Team Champions once is a bummer. I’m also bummed that the Imperium storyline was inserted here since a battle for all the titles makes sense. I hope Mustache Mountain can get another chance because that was a dumb ending to a great match and it’s past time for them to be champions. It’s also taking the heat on Imperium to a level I’m not sure WWE wants it to go.
