King of the Ring continues, and Roman Reigns continues to deal with the fallout of the ‘revelation’ of his attacker. It goes down on WWE Smackdown, and Tiffany has Takes!

King of the Ring

With the quarterfinals of King of the Ring set up, SmackDown had its hands full with its own entries in WWE’s big tournament.

Ali vs Buddy Murphy was straight of 205 Live and it was AMAZING! I’ve been getting very frustrated with Ali’s push lately, so it was nice to get to see him shine in the spotlight. Really, this match served as a great advertisement for 205 by two guys who were ‘promoted’ to the main roster. I’m so stoked that Ali got the win. We’re getting closer to King Ali! I also appreciate the show of sportsmanship from Murphy, who didn’t need the win as much as Ali did.

I honestly don’t know what to think of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin being part of King of the Ring, but I also find it odd that they’re making Benjamin act like such a chump. It’s 2019, do we really need to be making fun of guys for their height?

Benjamin vs Gable was really good, but why was Gable made to look like a loser after making such a big impression in 205 Live? I guess it doesn’t matter since 1. He beat Benjamin and 2. He’s probably going to lose to Andrade next week, but that was a good, if very short match. It also looks like Gable vs Benjamin is going to be a feud in the coming weeks.

Women’s Division

Why is trashy Lacey Evans on SmackDown? Did she not get enough of embarrassing all of us with her horrible shtick and bad wrestling? Go back to Main Event and stay there until you learn to ACTUALLY wrestle without embarrassing us all.

It finally feels like WWE is giving Bayley a good title run, but I wish they’d left Charlotte and Lacey Evans out of it, there’s plenty of women on SmackDown that would benefit from working with Bayley without needing Charlotte around. I also liked that Bayley vs Evans actually got some time instead of rushing it like they did Sasha Banks vs Natalya. Hopefully, Bayley will survive Charlotte at Clash of Champions and keep this great momentum going. As for Evans, send her back to Main Event.

Roman Reigns

I like that Reigns refused to say anything about last week’s trip into the Twilight Zone until he’s in the ring. I think Daniel Bryan is the only person that really believes that Cathy (Erick Rowan’s look alike) was the culprit instead of Patty (Erick Rowan).

Daniel Bryan has officially lost his damn mind. Roman did prove that it was Erick Rowan and Bryan is still mad. Thank god, Roman shut him up with a spear. That said, we have no idea if Bryan’s fury was because Rowan was involved or if it was because Rowan got caught on camera. So we’re making progress in this mystery, but not quite. Guess we’ll see next week.
