What happens when Impact Wrestling brings back TNA for a TV special? Andrew rates and reviews it, that’s what!

TNA gets resurrected on national television for the first time since 2017. Like it or not, TNA did have plenty of fun moments that most of us in the IWC remember fondly.

Yes, there was a lot of bad or cornball that came with the brand. But the fact that most of the major players in numerous companies had a stint in TNA/Impact; that has to account for something.

So let’s enjoy this 1 hour ride, and Cross the Line…one more time.

TNA Ratings:

  • Hernandez vs Chase Stevens: Hernandez wins via Border Toss – * 1/2
  • Johnny Swinger & Kid Kash vs Manik & Suicide: Suicide wins via Swanton Bomb – ** 1/2
  • Madman Fulton vs Rhino: Rhino wins via DQ – N/A

TNA Results:

Now we all wanted Don West and Mike Tenay; but instead we get Scott D’Amore and David Penzer on commentary. A decent substitution, but a little disappointing if I’m being honest.

The show gets started with two TNA originals though:

TNA

Hernandez vs Chase Stevens

This was short, but it achieved a what it needed to. Both men would be welcomed throwback names, and Super Mex was a big draw to the early Spike TV days. Even though he’s pushing 50, Hernandez was fairly impressive, especially when he skinned the cat up to the top turnbuckle, ate a Superplex; but ended up hitting the Border Toss for the win.

Small backstage interview with Gail Kim talking about the Knockouts Battle Royal that was supposed to happen at the WrestleMania week show, but as we know, plans have changed.

Johnny Swinger & Kid Kash vs Manik & Suicide

This was a decent bout. Kash and Swinger cut off the ring and kept Manik isolated for a long time. The crowd started chanting for Suicide, so when he finally got the tag, it was pretty hot. A few stereo dives and in the ropes taunts, before Suicide eventually picks up the pinfall after a Swanton Bomb.

It did look like someone different under the Suicide mask, even different than who we saw last week on IMPACT. My guess is Wentz from the Rascalz, but no clue. Fun match though.

Scott Steiner hits the ring for a promo. Starts talking about bringing the T & A to TNA and not being a part of PC Culture. This prompts Joseph P Ryan to come out and offer Scott a place in Cancel Culture. Big Poppa Pump, will become Big Proper Pump. Scott hits a Steiner Line, dumps out Joey and tells him off.

Madman Fulton vs Rhino

A fairly basic match that ends in a DQ once the Crist brothers show up. This of course was the excuse for the show to end…extremely TNA.

Dreamer comes out, oVe starts winning because of the numbers, lights go out, RAVEN SHOWS UP! Kendo stick on the Crists, then he helps Dreamer up…and hits him with the stick as well. Raven poses and saunters off out through the crowd as oVe continues to fight Rhino. Then we get Suicide and Manik to try and even the odds, Chase Stevens, Kid Kash and Johnny Swinger pour out. Hernandez is the last to enter the fray, and we get a big ole’ donnybrook. Kid Kash hits hit top rope senton and Super Mex ends the show with a good old Air Mexico.

Overall Score: 7.5/10

Being a quick taste of what was to come on Friday, this was a perfect microcasm of TNA. There were fun moments, decent matches, and just a lot of good fun. I would’ve preferred to see the Six Sided Ring, but this was still fun.

Now will everyone like what happened? No way. This was a special for people who really enjoyed the TNA way of doing things. Since I go back to about 2005 with this company, I definitely appreciated the old faces and even the cluster ending.

A very solid homage to old TNA.

PLAY BY PLAY

An ambulance pulls up to the Frontwave Arena?!

The doors open, and it’s COPE! Adam Copeland tells The Death Riders, “I just wanted to show you your ride tonight. See you soon.” Are things about to get Rated R here in San Diego?

MJF speaks.

“We’re going to get rid of the biggest mistake in my life. You, the fans, are why the mystery has been drained from my art, my sport, my passion. You overanalyze my craft as if you are informed enough to even know what to look for. Based on who you cheer, you clearly don’t. I’ve watched on as hypocrites cheer on Cowboy S*it at a faker, a phony, a pretender, when I am right here, literally giving you an arm and a leg! Now I’m truly going to bet on myself. You people are spoiled, you’re part of a generation that got to watch the best to ever do it in real-time, and you people chose him? I used to believe in three letters.

“Now there’s only three letters that matter to me. Not AEW.  Not F-A-N. But M J F!” That’s right, he is at a laser tattoo removal parlor. MJF no longer cares about anyone or anything but himself, will nothing stop him from taking over?

Hangman Page just now arrives?

He stuck longhorns on his Rivian R1T truck, but that’s The Cowboy! Hangman parks, storms into the arena, and spooks a few as he heads for gorilla. The fans fire up as he makes his entrance, and he’s not even getting changed before his match? Is he planning on making this one quick?

Hangman Page VS Aaron Solo!

The bell rings, and Hangman BOOTS Solo down! Hangman fires haymakers in the corner, sits Solo down, but stops as the ref counts 4. The fans fire up and Hangman headlocks Solo. Hangman scrapes Solo’s face off the ropes, then whips him. Solo ducks ‘n’ dodges, escapes a scoop, and he DREAMCAST KICKS! Solo reels Hangman in, Hangman wrenches free, but Solo avoids the short arm lariat! Only for the LARIAT to find him on the return! Hangman then goes to the apron, takes aim, and slingshots for the BUCKSHOT! Cover, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

Yep, that was quick! But Hangman isn’t done as he grabs a chair and a mic! Hangman storms into the ring with both, but he lets Solo get away. Hangman says, “There are three things that I hate in this world, and it’s running out of biscuits, English ivy, and when a little b*tch with a leaking spray tan spits in my face!” The fans know what Hangman means by that. Hangman takes a seat and says he is going to stay right here until someone finds him Maxwell Jacob Friedman, drag him to this ring, and Hangman gives him the ass beating of a lifetime! The fans fire up for Hangman, but here comes MJF!

The fans are torn as The Devil arrives in the arena, and he’s wiping blood off his hands…? MJF has them cut his music while he stays on stage. Hangman tells MJF to get in the ring, but MJF says, “Wow, Hangman. You wanna fight me right now in front of all these people? Dude, are you nuts? I mean look at you! You’re an animal, man! A ruthless killer devoid of any and all emotion! You’re heartless, dude! I’m not fighting you right now! No, no. Look, I don’t even know if I have a prayer on…” MJF checks the tron advertising it: Sunday, March 9th, Revolution in LA. MJF is worried!

In fact, he is going to go home to the most magical place on Earth, Long Island, New York… And MJF is going to train his tukus off for the match. MJF goes to leave, but then he realizes. “Silly me, I totally forgot why I came out here. I’m awfully worried about your friend, Hangman. You should probably check on him. I guess now’s the part where we find out whose actually real!” MJF drops his mic, Hangman stands up, and then MJF leaves. What is he talking about? Cameras find CHFRISTOPHER DANIELS down and bloodied in the back! The Devil of AEW attacked the Fallen Angel, all to get under Hangman’s skin!

Hangman takes his chair, heads out of the ring, and he storms his way to the back! Hangman looks around, shouts for where MJF went, keeps storming around backstage, but he finds Daniels first. Hangman tells medics to check Daniels already. The medics step in to stop the bleeding on Daniels’ forehead and Hangman continues hunting MJF. Has MJF finally gone too far?

The Don Callis Family is up in the skybox.

The fans boo as Callis gets VIP treatment for himself and Kyle Fletcher, because they’re getting ready to watch what’s in store for tonight. Callis is trying to stack the deck in Kyle’s favor, but will Bryan Keith be able to collect the bounty on Will Ospreay? Or will the Aerial Assassin take the Bounty Hunter down first?

Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.

It was earlier tonight that Renee Paquette knocked on the door, the Learning Tree answered, and Renee congratulated him on the big win last Saturday Night Collision, where Jericho successfully defended his ROH World Championship in an instant classic against Bandido. But she was wondering- No, no, he knows what she’s here for. Of course she wanted to congratulate him on what many are calling the greatest main event in the history of Collision. But she must really be here to apologize to him for how she treated him last week, right? Yes, and she was also wondering how this match between Will Ospreay and Bryan Keith came together.

Oh, Jericho’s glad she asked. And out stepped Don Callis! Callis said “The Greatest Of All Time” Chris Jericho assured him that tonight, Jericho has the solution to Callis’s problem. Sometimes, we must outsource in this society. Callis tried to handle things with Ospreay “in house,” he gave that opportunity to someone in the Family, but that someone dropped the ball. Mark Davis was standing right there… But Callis said Ospreay is a degenerate piece of garbage, so he needed someone who is used to dealing with degenerate pieces of garbage, like a bounty hunter! Jericho said at this stage of his career, he doesn’t have to help anyone, he chooses to help.

And so he chose to help Bryan Keith. In Jericho’s experience, bigger isn’t necessarily better. But Bryan Keith IS better! Keith has what it takes to be a champion in AEW, and more importantly, he has what it takes to beat Will Ospreay here tonight! Trust Jericho, Callis, that Bryan Keith’s your man. That’s all Callis needed to hear! Callis & Davis headed out, Jericho went back to his locker room, but will this deal between masterminds actually work out?

Bounty Match: Will Ospreay VS Bryan Keith!

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Ospreay. Ospreay points to Callis & Kyle in the skybox, the fans sing for “Ospreay~, Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~!” and Ospreay is wary of Keith. They tie up, Ospreay wrenches and wristlocks, but Keith wrenches and slips around to waistlock. Ospreay switches, Keith headlocks for a takeover, but Ospreay headscissors. Keith kips free, the two stand off, and the fans cheer. Ospreay and Keith reset, feel things out, then tie up. They go around, end up on ropes, and Ospreay slowly lets off. Keith is holding onto Ospreay’s tights, Ospreay tries to get free, but Keith DECKS him with a sucker punch!

The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Keith fires off more forearms! Keith ROCKS Ospreay, tells fans to shut up, then he whips Ospreay to ropes. Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Keith goes to a corner! Ospreay storms up to CHOP! The fans “WOO~!” and Ospreay CHOPS again! Keith is stinging, but he CHOPS in return! Ospreay roars and CHOPS again! And again! And again! Keith THROAT CHOPS! The fans boo again, the ref reprimands again, but Keith just snarls. Keith clinches but Ospreay arm-drags free! And arm-drags again, holding on for an armlock! The fans cheer while Ospreay grinds Keith down.

Keith fights up, pulls Ospreay’s hair, and the fans boo again. Keith KNEES Ospreay against ropes, then CLUBS him. Keith whips, Ospreay grabs ropes and BOOTS in return! Ospreay scoops Keith for a SLAM, then STANDING SKY TWISTER! Cover, TWO! Keith toughs it out but Ospreay powers up the elbow. The fans fire up, the Callis Family is upset, but Keith bails out! The fans boo, but Ospreay PLANCHAS! Down goes Keith and Ospreay dusts himself off. The fans rally for “BRUV! BRUV! BRUV!” and Ospreay gets Keith in the ring. Ospreay aims from the apron, springboards, PIP PIP- NO, Keith dodges the cheerio!

Ospreay comes back, Keith TOSSES him out, and Ospreay clutches a leg. Keith hurries out and BOOTS Ospreay down! Keith roars, the fans boo, but Keith goes back for Ospreay. Keith puts Ospreay in the ring while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Keith pushes Ospreay to center and drops ELBOW after ELBOW on Ospreay! Ospreay goes to a corner, Keith snarls as he storms up, and Keith CHOPS! Ospreay is stinging now, but he shakes his head. Keith CHPOS Ospreay again, but Ospreay puts him in the corner! Ospreay climbs up to rain down fists! Ospreay goes all the way to TEN, then whips Keith corner to corner. Keith reverses, Ospreay hits buckles hard, and he staggers into Keith’s SNAP SAIDO! Ospreay clutches his head now while Keith snarls. Keith drags Ospreay to then drop a KNEE on the face! Cover, TWO! Ospreay is still in this but Keith paces around him.

Keith looms over Ospreay, pulls hair to sit him up, and then clamps on a CAMEL CLUTCH! Ospreay endures, reaches out, and gets his arms free. Ospreay stands up to fire body shots! Keith shoves Ospreay to ropes, ROCKS him in the back, and Ospreay drops to his knees. Keith KICKS him down! Cover, TWO! Ospreay stays in this and he goes to a corner. Dynamite returns to single picture as Keith storms up on Ospreay, and he CHOPS! Keith then runs up to LARIAT, and then CORNER EXPLODER! Ospreay writhes, Keith eggs him on, and the fans rally. Keith looms over Ospreay, eggs him on, then scuffs him again.

Ospreay CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Keith ROCKS Ospreay, whips him, but Ospreay ducks ‘n’ handsprings, NEURALIZER KICK! Keith flounders to a corner and the fans fire up! Ospreay kips up, but Keith runs up! Ospreay fires counter punches, then winds up to DECK Keith! The fans cheer as Ospreay runs to BOOT Keith in a corner! Ospreay shoves Keith, springboards, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Cover, TWO! Keith toughs it out but the fans stick with Ospreay. Ospreay underhooks but Keith fights the lift! Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks, then CHOPS! Keith sputters, Ospreay whips, but Keith reverses like before.

Ospreay goes up and over, but Keith ROUNDHOUSES! Keith runs, into an ENZIGIRI! Ospreay takes a swing, Keith SWATS it to DISCUS LARIAT! The fans fire up as Keith hauls Ospreay up. Keith suplexes, Ospreay STUN DOG MILLIONAIRES! Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Keith survives but Ospreay looks right at Kyle as he prepares the elbow. The fans fire up, Ospreay takes aim, but Keith KNEES Ospreay down first! Keith reels Ospreay in, Underhooks, EMERALD TIGER DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives, The Callis Family is fuming, but “This is Awesome!” Keith sits up and snarls, and he says it’s time to make that money!

Keith hauls Ospreay up, underhooks, and he lifts, but Ospreay blocks the knee! So Keith HEADBUTTS! Keith reels Ospreay back in, Ospreay backdrops but Keith sunset flips! Ospreay rolls through, deadlifts, and STYLES CLASH! Then HIDDEN BLADE!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall

Don Callis almost got his money’s worth, but The Bad Apple could not sour Ospreay’s win streak! Ospreay dares Kyle to come get him, but Kyle dares Ospreay to do the same! Ospreay rushes out of the ring, Kyle hurries down the bleachers, and they brawl in the crowd! Security hurries out there but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” Ospreay and Kyle will get to do whatever they want inside the steel cage, who survives when these two battle in LA?

AEW hears from Momo Watanabe.

The Dark Peach, the inaugural International Women’s Cup Champion, says, “I was very disappointed when I lost to Mone last summer. I still want to fight her. I will stop the Money Train.” Momo is after the AEW TBS Championship, but will she be able to take even just one belt off #FourBeltsMone?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

The CEO tells Oceanside, California to say hello to your CEO. But Mone tells Momo that she’s gonna make this quick. Mone has deals to seal and a plane to catch. Did Momo even show up here tonight? Because she made a big mistake choosing her for Revolution. And then Mone asks this “kid” if she’s seen Momo. It’s Billie Starkz! Mone says when Billie does see Mom, go fetch her for Mone. Then Mone just SLAPS Billie’s drink out of her hand?! Billie stops Mone from leaving and asks her, “What the hell!? Who do you think you are?!” Mone asks back, “Who am I? I am the Blueprint, the Standard, the Conversation, the CEO. The Greatest TBS Champion of All Time, Four Belts Mone.”

Billie says she forgot one: Narcissistic b*tch. C’mon, Mone, you know who this is: Billie Starks, ROH superstar! Future Women’s Champion. Oh, please. Wait, Momo sneaks up from behind! Billie says watch your back. Mone turns around, sees Momo and her bat, then runs away! Momo picks up the forgotten TBS Championship! Momo says, “Bye bye, Money Train~! I want this title, and at Revolution, I’m taking it.” Billie says it looks good on her. Will Momo be the next Face of TBS?

Brian Cage & Lance Archer VS The Outrunners!

The Hurt Syndicate told the Murder Machines that if they beat a “real tag team” tonight, they could get a match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. But then they made that same deal with Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd, so this is effectively a #1 contender’s match! Will Cage & Archer show that even if you’re the Youngest Men Alive, #EverybodyDies?

The teams sort out, Cage starts against Truth, and they circle. The fans rally up, but Cage sucker punches Turbo! Truth goes after Cage but Archer attacks Truth! The Murder Machines mug Magnum, tell the fans to shut up, then double whip. Truth ducks ‘n’ sends Cage at Archer! Turbo is back, the Outrunners DOUBLE DROPKICK! Archer & Cage stay up, so the Outrunners DOUBLE DROPKICK again! The fans fire up, Truth whips Cage, but Cage reverses. Truth grabs ropes, Archer grabs Turbo, and Cage runs up. Truth DUMPS Cage out, then he DUMPS Archer out! The fans fire up as the Outrunners spin and flex!

The Outrunners go to the ropes to fetch the Murder Machines, but the Murder Machines drag them out of the ring! DOUBLE SHORT ARM LARIATS! The fans are torn as Archer whips Truth hard intro railing! Truth writhes while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cage storms up on Truth and whips him into the steel steps! Archer whips Turbo into railing! Archer steps on Turbo, Cage drags Truth up and SLAMS him on the apron! Cage drags Truth back down, DECKS him, and Archer keeps after Turbo. Cage soaks up the heat, Archer puts Turbo against railing, and Archer talks trash on kids! Archer winds up, but Turbo avoids the chop! Cage CLUBS Truth down, drags him back up and puts him in the ring. Turbo fires hands on Archer, then high-fives those kids! Only for Archer to SMACK Turbo off the railing! Cage bumps Truth off buckles, then RAMS into him!

Cage RAMS into Truth again, and again, then CHOPS! Truth sputters, Cage DECKS him, and Archer pretends to be Turbo in the Outrunner corner. Cage scoops Truth to use him for curls! Then POWERSLAM! Cage flexes, he’s almost as big as both Outrunners combined! Tag to Archer, he storms up on Truth, and CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref reprimands, Archer steps off, but then he DUMPS Truth to the outside. Archer goes out, shouts at those kids from before, then winds up to CHOP Truth! Truth sputters and falls, but crawls to the ring. Archer storms right into the ring to bring him up, and snap suplex!

Truth flounders away to a corner, Archer storms up on him, but Archer blocks the kick! Archer stomps Truth down while Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally as hard as they can for The Outrunners, but Archer tells them to shut up. The fans boo, Archer stands Truth up, and Archer ROCKS Truth! Archer runs corner to corner, and he ELBOWS Truth! Archer keeps going, another ELBOW! And another ELBOW! Truth staggers and falls over while Archer tags Cage. Cover, TWO! Truth stays in this and the fans rally up. Cage drags Truth up, UPPERCUTS him, then has Truth in a corner. Cage bumps Truth off buckles, then whips corner to corner.

Cage runs up, but Truth goes up and over! Cage keeps Truth from Turbo, whips him back to a corner, but Truth BOOTS Cage! Cage still LARIATS Truth! Cage scoops Truth, but Truth fights free, then JAWBREAKERS! The fans fire up as Truth dodges Cage, then dodges Archer! Hot tag to Turbo! Turbo rallies with haymakers and CHOPS on the Murder Machines! Archer puts Turbo in the corner. but Turbo dodges to ROCK Cage! Turbo LARIATS Archer in a corner, climbs up, and he rains down fists! Cage storms up, Turbo CROSSBODIES him down! Turbo springs up, dodges Cage, and he ELBOWS Archer!

Cage runs in, Turbo dodges again, so Cage’s LARIAT hits Archer! Turbo rolls Cage up, TWO! Cage escapes but Turbo whips. Cage reverses, Archer STOMPS Turbo down! Cage catches Truth for a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Archer adds a SPALSH! Cage ripcords Turbo to ROCK him! Archer ROCKS Turbo, too, then Cage JUMP KNEES Turbo into Archer’s BOOT! Cover, TWO!! Turbo survives and the fans fire up! Tag to Archer, then Cage reels Turbo in. Time to put on out! But Turbo fights the bomb! Truth makes the save, drags Cage out with him, but Archer keeps after Turbo. Cage THROWS Truth into railing!

Archer hauls Turbo up, but Turbo fires body shots! They don’t do much, and Archer eggs him on! The fans rally, Turbo fires more shots, but Archer ROCKS Turbo! Cage snap suplexes Truth on the floor! Archer hits a CHOKE SLAM on Turbo! Cover, TWO?!? Turbo survives and Archer is furious! Archer puts Turbo up top while Cage still beats up Truth. Archer UPPERCUTS Turbo, hoists him out, but the Hurt Syndicate is here!? Archer lets Turbo down, Turbo O’Conner Rolls! OUTRUNNERS WIN!!

Winners: The Outrunners, by pinfall

The timing by MVP, Lashley & Shelton is rather coincidental, but the bottom line is: Truth & Turbo win the biggest match of their careers! Does this mean they get their shot at the tag titles?

The Death Riders speak.

Jon Moxley says, “If Adam Copeland wanted me alone, if Adam Copeland wanted me one-on-one, just the two of us, he could’ve picked any room in any building, behind any locked door, any alley in North America. All you had to do was ask, man. But I can appreciate that somebody put their money where their mouth was. I can appreciate that somebody is actually playing for keeps.” Claudio Castagnoli says, “Don’t even get me started. I didn’t pay attention for one minute, and Cope… My hat’s off to you. But this is not you hunting us. No, no, no, no. Now, it is me hunting you.” The Swiss Cyborg wants his fight with the Rated R Superstar, will he make sure Cope doesn’t make it to LA?

Swerve Strickland is here!

San Diego is now “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as Prince Nana accompanies The Realest out to the ring, and Nana has a clipboard in hand. They go to the ring, and Swerve grabs a mic. He says he can’t hear them loud enough! The fans cheer, and Swerve says they know this is whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” And that’s exactly what Swerve made AEW the moment he stepped through the doors almost three years ago at Revolution! Swerve looked Tony Schiavone dead in the eyes, and he said he’d win AEW gold. Schiavone confirms he sure did. Then it is fitting that AEW wraps Black History Month, because Swerve made Black History!

The fans cheer, and the chant starts again, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve says that’s right! Night in, night out, he not only defended the AEW World Championship, he showcased it to the world! Right up to the biggest stage in professional wrestling, AEW All In: London. Swerve is no one hit wonder, but Nana here was right two weeks ago. The world title has not been Swerve’s focus for far too long. Make no mistake, Swerve is still the man around here. Swerve is still the best in the world, and he needs gold around his waist. In order for that to happen, he must right some wrongs around here.

And first on the list is a bald-headed, glasses wearing idiot walking around with something that doesn’t belong to him! That man is Ricochet. Swerve brings up Ricochet claiming they’re done, and that Ricochet is on to bigger and better things. No, no, no. They’re done with Swerve says they’re done! You think a low blow victory- Wait, Ricochet interrupts. Ricochet wears the robe, but he’s added a backwards baseball cap. Ricochet uses Mone’s favorite phrase, “Are you stupid or are you dumb?” Because Ricochet just said, it doesn’t matter what anyone says, Ricochet is DONE with Swerve! Swerve had his chance, but Ricochet won.

And winners don’t chase losers. And yeah, Ricochet gets no one here understands that feeling, since the San Diego Padres suck ass! Even the Chargers left this broke ass town! What Ricochet is chasing is gold. What Ricochet is chasing is to be something Swerve will never again be: AEW World Champion. Ricochet turns that hat around to reveal it’s a Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl hat! So no, Swerve, Ricochet will not be facing him. Not tonight, not again, not ever. Thanks but no thanks. Next time you see Ricochet, he will have gold around his waist, and he’s not talking Louis Vuitton. Fans tell Ricochet to STFU as he laughs it up.

Nana tells Ricochet to hold on and listen. Nana has an offer that Ricochet might want to consider. Nana talked with Tony Khan, and TK agrees with Swerve: the fans deserve a rematch! All Ricochet has to do is accept it. And TK also said that whoever wins this rematch… will be #1 contender to the AEW World Championship!! So what does Ricochet say to that? Dammit, Nana. Ricochet gives him credit, that is good. So all Ricochet has to do is whoop Swerve’s ass one more time, and then his ticket is punched to being AEW World Champion? Can he get an “AHA~!” because CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

But no, Ricochet looks too damn good right now, they ain’t doing this tonight. Ricochet can see in this crowd that collectively, they don’t have the money to pay his fee! So what happens is, this happens in a real California city. What they’re gonna do is they do this in the City of Angels! This happens at Revolution! Ricochet VS Swerve, one more time, baby~! The One & Only taunts The Realest on his way out, but who will be be #1 contender? Nana has Swerve hold on, they have business of their own first. Swerve asks what this is about, and Nana says he is proud of Swerve. Nana is glad Swerve is taking the steps to go for the world title. That is what the fans want! That is what Nana wants!

But most importantly, Nana wants Swerve to go back to who the fans say he is. Be the man Swerve says he is! Hell, be the man that Nana says Swerve is: THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN AEW! But Swerve needs to understand, Nana took a lot of bullets for him. Hangman Page, Sting, The Hurt Syndicate, Ricochet. To see Ricochet in Nana’s robe, something that means so much to him and this business, Nana needs Swerve to fix this and get the robe back. Or else, Nana doesn’t know if he can do this anymore. What? Nana takes his leave, but if the gamble doesn’t pay off, will he leave Swerve behind?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee catches The Cowboy on his way out, wanting to talk about earlier tonight. Hangman says that MJF is gone, he left. Hangman turns to go, but then turns back to tell Max, “When I find you, and I will, if I do not run you over, you will wish that I had.” The Cowboy goes back to his longhorn R1T, will he mangle Maxwell Jacob Friedman one way or another?

Six Man Tag: The Undisputed Kingdom VS Daniel Garcia & FTR!

Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong already beat Red Death when he teamed with 2Point0, but now we swap Matt Menard & Angelo Parker out for Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood! Will the Kingdom still get a big win on the AEW TNT Championship? Or will Garcia and the Top Guys outdo The Undisputed?

The trios sort out and Kyle starts against Cash. They circle, tie up, and they go around. Kyle waistlocks, Cash wrenches free to a wristlock, but Kyle drop toeholds to have the facelock. Cash wrenches out again to then hammerlock. Kyle switches that, Cash switches back, repeat. They go back and forth, Kyle waistlocks to drag Cash down, HEEL HOOK! ROPEBREAK! The ref counts. Kyle lets off slowly, but Cash kicks at him! The fans are torn, but the Kingdom talk game plan. Kyle tags Cole in, the fans rally up, and Cash tags Garcia! The fans fire up for this showdown as the two circle.

Garcia and Cole tie up, Cole headlocks, but Garcia powers up and out. Cole grabs ropes, but Garcia blocks the superkick! Garcia takes a swing, Cole dodges, but Garcia ducks the Pele! Garcia waistlocks, Cole fights free, and Cole avoids the boot! Garcia avoids a boot! Both men show haymaker, so both men stand down! The fans cheer, and Cole offers a handshake. Callis is all fired up as Konosuke makes it through Cassidy! Callis says he hopes Kenny was watching that, because this is what he has in store for Revolution! Will nothing stop The Alpha from becoming THE greatest in AEW?

My Thoughts:

An awesome Dynamite, lots of progress made towards Revolution and even some other stories. Cope showing up in the ambulance was a nice touch given how tonight went. Great brawl of Cope and Claudio that of course brought in the other Death Riders. Kudos to Marina for taking the busaiku knee, and nice touch letting Willow hit the con-chair-to. I still expected a little more for Willow in this, but maybe Willow and Marina have a match after Revolution, as I feel the Death Riders story won’t end, even if they lose their titles. But with Yuta as Moxley’s last line of defense, I feel like the Death Riders should lay low and just stay away from Collision. Then they can have a go-home segment that sees Cope take out Yuta after all.

Hangman of course squashes Aaron Solo, but the main point was the promos from him and MJF. I cannot believe MJF is getting rid of that leg tattoo he got while a Face. At the same time, it was so weird that he got it in the first place. But I absolutely knew he would go after Daniels just to anger Hangman. Very good segment from Mercedes with Momo and Billie Starkz. A little surprising it’s Billie showing up on AEW TV, but I suppose it wouldn’t work if it was a champion from ROH because both Athena and Red Velvet are Heels, and Billie is a younger star Mone can still look down on. But Momo having Mone on the run obviously points to Mone retaining at Revolution. It’s why I was hoping she’d go for the NJPW Strong Women’s title instead but whatever.

Harley had a great match with Deonna, and a great win with a finisher rather than a quick pin. Harley will have to wait on a title match but maybe Taya comes for revenge in the meantime. Great promo from Swerve, Nana and Ricochet to up the ante for the rematch. It’s to name a #1 contender, it’s for the robe, and it’s to see if Swerve & Nana stick together. Swerve and Ricochet will definitely put on an instant classic, and it could really go either way given the AEW World Championship could still go either way. We also have to remember, Christian Cage is still able to cash-in, so he could take the title off Mox or Cope, and it’d be some good use of continuity from when Christian teamed with Swerve.

Great tag team match from Outrunners VS Murder Machines, and I like how Hurt Syndicate screwed over Cage & Archer. It protected them while still giving Outrunners the title match, and I’m pretty sure Outrunners lose anyway. Then Hurt Syndicate VS Murder Machines can happen later for big meaty men slapping meat. Great trios match for Undisputed Kingdom VS Garcia & FTR, and a great win for Cole on Garcia. But I guess somehow Garcia VS Cole isn’t big enough for Revolution? or is Garcia VS Cole on Collision just a poor attempt at countering Elimination Chamber this Saturday?

More good stuff from the Don Callis Family as Callis and Jericho seem to make amends over common enemies. The irony of Callis setting up Jericho VS Ospreay and now he’s kinda flipping it around. But the order of giving us this promo after seeing Callis in the skybox was a little odd, I feel like it flows better the other way around. Anyway, Ospreay VS Keith was awesome, perhaps Keith’s best match in AEW, but of course Ospreay won that. No money, kayfabe or otherwise, was changing hands and Ospreay was going to be rolling towards Revolution. Ospreay and Kyle had a great brawl, their match is going to be a show stealer.

And of course, we got an awesome main event from Konosuke VS Cassidy for the title. But given how Omega called out Konosuke in the first place, obviously Konosuke was going to win. Omega VS Konosuke will be an instant classic, and I would think Omega wins, mostly for his revenge on Konosuke and the Callis Family. Plus, Omega becomes AEW’s first Grand Slam Champion, having been world champ, trios champ, tag champ, and now a midcard champ with the International Championship.

My Score: 9.1/10

Unless… no one in Arianna’s family ever taught her how to fight. Santino keeps The Cobra at bay, and says, “Take it easy.” What was that? Uh… He said it is breezy out here. Arianna says she has never been so insulted. Good. See her in the ring. Meeting over. Lola heads out, will she make Cincy into Vice City? Or will Lola learn to lose with Grace?

Lexis King walks the halls.

The Drama King carries his Heritage Cup, but he crosses paths with Oba Femi. The King says hey to The Ruler, and he knows there’s the big dream match of Oba VS Moose. But they’re in Cincy! King has homefield advantage! And tonight, he’ll whoop on Moose here, so that the only match anyone will be talking about is The Ruler VS The King! Lexis heads out, and Oba chuckles. Will The King look more like a joker? Or will this be the upset of the century?

That group posted on social medial…

Posing outside of the Andrew J. Brady Center, Dion Lennox and his crew issue a warning: “You don’t know when we’re going to show up, or what we are going to do, but one thing is for sure… No one is safe.” Who will these four hunt down and destroy here tonight?

TNA X-Division Championship: Moose VS Lexis King!

The System has led the charge in this newest NXTNA crossover, but the tables have been turned as Cincy’s King dared Moose to put his gold on the line. Will Lexis soon reign over two kingdoms? Or will he learn to #TrustTheSystem?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who puts the X-Division in NXT!

The bell rings and the fans are torn. Moose dares Lexis to bring it, and the two tie up. Moose powers Lexis to a corner, lets off slowly, but Lexis avoids the haymaker! Lexis CHOPS, the fans “WOO~!” but Moose puts Lexis in the corner! Moose CHOPS, the fans “WOO~!” and Moose stalks Lexis to another corner. Moose CHOPS Lexis again and Lexis is sputtering already. Moose TOSSES Lexis across the way! Moose storms up on Lexis, fans cheer on “TNA! TNA!” Moose stomps Lexis, Lexis fires back, but Moose stomps him down! Moose whips corner to corner, runs up, but Lexis dodges! Lexis comes back to CHOP, CHOP, CHOP!

The fans fire up but then Moose knees low! Moose whips Lexis but Lexis lands safe ont he apron! Lexis GAMANGIRIS, then RAMS into Moose! Lexis slingshots to sunset flip, but Moose stays up! Moose YANKS Lexis up, CHPOS him, then runs back in. Lexis BOOTS Moose, goes up, but Moose DROPKICKS Lexis to the floor! Lexis sputters and flounders, the fans are going wild, and Moose storms out after Lexis. Moose nods to Booker T, then brings Lexis up to SMACK him off the desk! Moose then looms over Lexis, stands him up, and the fans rally. Moose whips Lexis hard into the steel steps!

Lexis writhes again while Moose storms up on him. Moose drags Lexis up, reels him in, and he points to the apron. The fans fire up as Moose lifts Lexis, but Lexis fires hands! Lexis gest to the apron, and he SUPERKICKS! Moose staggers, Lexis BLINDSIDE LARIATS! Moose falls, Lexis hurries to get him up, and the fans are fired up! Lexis puts Moose in, climbs up, and Moose stands. FLYING- NO, Moose catches Lexis for an URENAGE! Moose goes toa  corner, the fans rally up, and Moose storms back up on Lexis. Moose drags Lexis up, reels him in, and hoists Lexis up again. Lexis slips free to kick a leg out! And then Lexis KICKS! KICKS! And KICKS!

Moose stands, Lexis fires more KICKS, then he runs. Moose BACKDROPS Lexis onto the ramp! Lexis is both lucky and unlucky that the ramp is flush with the ring. The fans are losing their minds all the same from that impact. Moose grins, the fans duel, and we get a great look at the belt. Lexis crawls into the ring, but Moose is right there waiting. Moose kicks Lexis around, then fishhooks Lexis’s face! The ref counts, Moose stops, and Lexis rises. Lexis fires a body shot, but Moose BOOTS him down! Moose scuffs Lexis but the fans rally up. Lexis fires body shots, Moose SLAPS him! Lexis gets pissed and the fans fire up!

Lexis shoves Moose but his back hurts. Moose gives more scuffing kicks, then SLAPS him! Lexis CHPOS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! The fans fire up as Lexis whips, but Moose reverses. Lexis ROCKS Moose! Lexis runs to ROCK Moose again! But then Moose BOOTS him! Moose runs, into a SUPERKICK! Lexis runs, but into a POP-UP- RANA!! Lexis has Moose in a cover, TWO!! Moose escapes but the fans fire up! Moose bails out, Lexis builds speed, and fans rally for “NXT! NXT!” Lexis FLIES, down goes Moose! The fans are all fired up with Lexis, and he gets Moose back in the ring. Lexis hurries back up, “This is Awesome!”

Lexis aims again, CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Moose stays in this but Lexis hurries to get Moose up! Lexis wrenches the arm, whips Moose, but Moose blocks! Moose whips Lexis to a corner, runs up, but Lexis dodges! Lexis comes back, into a BOOT! Moose gets moving, and he goes up, up, and CROSSBODIES?! Then kips up!? Moose drags Lexis right up, and POWERBOMBS him!! Cover, TWO?!? Lexis survives and shocks Moose! Cincy is thunderous as Lexis still lives! Lexis crawls to a corner, but Moose goes to the other. Moose aims, runs up, but Lexis SUPERKICKS! Lexis crosses the arms, CORONATION!! Cover, TWO?!?!

Moose survives and Lexis is beside himself! Lexis hurries to get Moose back up, tries again, but Moose BACKDROPS free! Moose runs, Lexis dodges, but Moose rebounds to SPEAR!! Cover, Moose wins!

Winner: Moose, by pinfall (still TNA X-Division Champion)

Moose has conquered The King! But before Moose can celebrate that, here comes The Ruler! Oba Femi storms right up, has the music stop, and he says he sees Moose made it past Lexis. Congrats. But now, to what really matters: this. This is what everyone wants! This is what the NXT Universe wants, right? So this is the match to make! Ava Raine already made it official! In two weeks, NXT Roadblock, Madison Square Garden, The Face of the Franchise VS The Ruler of NXT! Titan VS Titan, a collision like no one has ever seen!! Oba is ready, Moose is ready, the fans are ready, but will MSG be ready for this massive Roadblock?

Shawn Spears speaks.

“NXT, The Land of the Talented, the future, but the misguided. And my goal here is to guide high-quality, high-performing individuals, shun them from any kind of negativity, and find their inner light.” Brooks Jensen: a former tag team champion, left out in the cold. But after a complete transformation of mind, body and soul, he is exactly who he was searching for all along. Niko Vance: A prototype of physical characteristics, but a beacon of rage whose metamorphosis comes from within. His ferocity is not a curse but a gift. A gift he will now use on the NXT roster.

But one piece was still missing. Izzi Dame: The embodiment of cunning beauty. Every move, every decision, calculated. Every word she speaks, premeditated. Some would call that manipulation, but Spears calls it strategy. Izzi knew that if you control the narrative, victory is not only likely, it is guaranteed. And now Spears’ “family” is complete. Tony D’Angelo never really saw this coming, did he? Now there’s a new family in charge of NXT, and the only thing left to do is take the North American Championship. The Chair Man wants his gold, will The Don be able to stop him?

Arianna Grace posts a video.

Miss NXT was with Kelani Jordan, and they were discussing Cincy. It isn’t so bad out right now. But Arianna has to ask: What is going on with Kelani and Jaida? Kelani grumbles and says that name makes her blood boil. Jaida always wants to blame everyone else for her problems. Jaida is in the background asking if they’re talking about her. Kelani says no, they aren’t. Kelani says Jaida is so rude. Jaida keeps jawing, Kelani erupts, and the rest of the roster has to step in the way! When, where and how will The Standout and Miss Parker finally put this to rest?

Jordynne Grace is here!

Cincinnati fires up for The Juggernaut, and she gets herself a mic as she enters the ring. “From the moment that I stepped foot into a WWE ring last year, I knew exactly where I belonged. I walked in as an outsider, carrying the weight of an entire company on my back. But after spending some time in the NXT Women’s locker room, feeling the hunger, I knew I had to be a part of it.” The fans cheer that! So when the time finally came to put pen ot paper, Grace didn’t hesitate. Grace had one thought and one singular goal: To become a champion in what she truly believes is THE best women’s division in the world.

The fans cheer “NXT! NXT!” and Grace says the last time she was here, it was in between two women who are like nothing we’ve ever seen before. But she’ll tell us what she knows: She knows that Giulia and Vaquer felt the shift. They felt the foundation beginning to crack when Grace arrived. And Grace heard what Giulia and Vaquer said earlier. Whether they like it or not, it is only a matter of time before Grace stands in this ring not next to them, but across from them. The fans like the sound of that! A juggernaut is unstoppable, so it is about time Grace- Wait, Roxanne Perez interrupts.

Roxie tells Grace she wants to be the first to say, “Welcome back.” Roxie knew Grace would be back eventually, and it only makes sense after where Grace came from. Any woman who wants to be a star knows NXT is the place to be. Whether it is from another promotion, another sport, or Raw and SmackDown, everyone wants to be part of the division Roxie made famous. And we’re talking about putting brands on backs? Yeah, that’s what Roxie did the last 12 months! And Grace, it is one thing to be on top of the TNA Knockouts Division as a big fish in a small pond. But this is still Roxie’s division, so Grace is in her world now!

Grace doesn’t get to just show up and call the shots! Certainly not for Roxie’s title! Uh, hold on one second. If this is Roxie’s division… Where is her title? Oh, the title Grace couldn’t beat Roxie for back at Battleground? Roxie can play that game, too. But Grace just got here, so don’t make Roxie send her packing back to TNA. There is a gap between them. It has been there since last year, and is still there now. That’s why Roxie is going to Elimination Chamber this Saturday! And then Roxie will go on to WrestleMania to become THE Women’s World Champion!

And if Roxie feels like it, she might just become a historic THREE-TIME NXT Women’s Champion, so everyone can call her #RoxieTwoBelts. Fans do like the sound of that, but Grace says hold on, hold on . Roxie, there is a famous saying. “Everyone has a plan until…” Grace ROCKS Roxie in the face! Grace fireman’s carries, Roxie scurries off and out of the ring! Will The Juggernaut bulldoze right over Roxie on her way to the top?

Trick Williams sulks backstage.

He reads comments online about how he got punked by Eddy Thorpe, how he’s on a losing streak. Trick is tired of all of it. Je’Von Evans comes along and says Trick shouldn’t worry about that. In fact, they’re kinda going through the same thing. Trick stands up and asks, “What’d you just say?” They’re not the same. Je’Von is fighting over his “smile,” Trick is fighting for the NXT Championship. Okay, okay. Je’Von is just saying, the Ethan thing- Trick says Je’Von and Ethan can keep smiling, Trick’s gonna handle Eddy, so just stay in your lane. Je’Von says Trick’s gonna crash out. Damn right Trick’s about to crash out!

Je’Von says he was gonna show Ethan tonight, but maybe he’ll show Trick, too, then. But before things get any more heated, Ricky Saints steps in. Ricky offers a handshake, Trick goes for a fist bump instead. Trick says he’s heard all about Ricky. Trick heads out, Ricky says he gets being angry, but is everyone just angry all the time around here? Je’Von isn’t sure what to say. But with All Ego & Cardiac Kid waiting for them, will The Young OG & The Absolute revolutionize NXT in tonight’s main event?

Backstage interview with Jaida Parker.

Sarah Schreiber wants to talk with Miss Parker about how she and Kelani got into it a bit just earlier today, but Jaida says respectfully, Kelani done messed up. Kelani had the right idea, but the wrong one, point blank, period. Kelani has it twisted, acting like everyone else up in here. Kelani lost her mind after losing the Women’s North American title. And now she has a lack of confidence? That is not Jaida’s problem. But when it comes to Jaida’s opportunities, she don’t play. That match with Vaquer that Karmen fumbled should have been Jaida’s. But it all started because Kelani got butthurt after Jaida brushed her off like the gnat she is.

But when it comes down to it, Kelani will feel even worse when Jaida is done with her. Jaida tells Kelani that there may be a H1M in WWE, but in NXT, you ain’t Her. And Kelani finds out why everyone knows Jaida Parker don’t play! #ClockIt! Jaida has put Kelani on notice, when and where will they have it out?

Someone is watching from the rafters…

They recorded Vaquer VS Karmen, and they seemed very amused. Dion Lennox and his shadow opps are in the building, when will they strike?

The Hardy Boyz VS Myles Borne & Tavion Heights!

Matt & Jeff Hardy have made history time and again, and tonight is no different as they have their NXT in-ring debut! Will the TNA World Tag Team Champions render No Quarter Catch Crew OBSOLETE? Or will Myles & Heights go the distance with Team Extreme?

The fans chant “WELCOME BACK!” for Matt & Jeff, and the teams sort out. The Charismatic Enigma starts against Tavion and the fans are all fired up. Jeff and Tavion circle, feel things out, and tie up. Tavion powers Jeff back, has him on ropes, but the ref counts. Tavion SHOVES Jeff down, soaks up the heat, then takes a bow. Jeff gives him the double super finger! Jeff then bobs ‘n’ weaves, fires hands, then wrenches to CLUB Tavion’s arm. The fans chant “You Still Got It!” as he tags in Matt. Matt goes up, Jeff CLUBS Tavion’s arm, and Matt AX HANDLES! Tavion staggers, Matt wrenches and ELBOW BREAKERS!

Matt shouts “DELETE!” with every ELBOW BREAKER he gives! The fans chant along, “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” Myles storms in, Matt DECKS him! Then Matt bumps him off buckles, “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” Wait, Fraxiom is walking out here to watch from the stage?

Matt hits a SIDE EFFECT on Tavion! Cover, TWO! Matt stays focused, and he says, “DELETE! DELETE!” He notices Fraxiom, but he still kicks Tavion., Tavion shoves Matt away, and hits a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Matt survives, Tavion is frustrated, but Dempsey coaches him again. Tavion CLUBS Matt down, drags him around, and rains down some HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Cover, TWO! Tavion keeps Matt from Jeff, whips him, then LARIATS against the ropes! Matt slumps down, Tavion eggs him on, and then Tavion whips to LARIAT again! Tavion mocks the “DELETE!” then tags in Myles.

Myles is right on Matt with an UPPERCUT! And another UPPERCUT! And then a HAYMAKER! Myles snapmares Matt, KNEES him in the back, then clamps on a chinlock. Matt endures, the fans rally, and NXT returns to single picture. Matt fights up, Frazer & Axiom like what they see, but Tavion tags in. NQCC mugs Matt, then they snapmare for Tavion to chinlock. The fans boo but Tavion tells them to shut up. The fans rally for “HARDY! HARDY!” and Matt fights around. Tavion puts on more pressure, but Matt still stands. Myles tags in, Matt snapmares free, but Myles clamps on with a chinlock! Matt JAWBREAKERS free!

Matt crawls, but Tavion is after Jeff! Jeff CROSSBODIES Tavion down! Jeff hurries back, Matt hot tags him in! Jeff rallies on Miles, hits an atomic drop, then trips Myles for the LEG SPLITTING LEG DROP! The fans cheer and Jeff adds the basement DROPKICK! ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Myles stays in this and Tavion returns! Jeff ROCKS Tavion, but Myles kicks Jeff! NQCC double whip Jeff to a corner, but Jeff ELBOWS Tavion! Jeff ROCKS Myles, then goes up! WHISPER IN THE WIND! A close call but all three men are down, and Cincy is losing their minds all over again! Jeff brings Tavion up, but Tavion fireman’s carries!

Matt gives him the TWIST OF FATE! Jeff is up top, shirt off, SWANTON BOMB!! Cover, Hardy Boyz win!

Winners: The Hardy Boyz, by pinfall

Fraxiom is just as impressed as anyone, and they join the Hardy Boyz in the ring. Axiom tells Matt & Jeff, congratulations on this huge victory. But let Fraxiom be the first to welcome them to NXT. The fans cheer that! Matt thanks Axiom, and he LOVES NXT! Matt has watched Fraxiom defend their titles even in TNA, and no lie, Fraxiom is killing it. The run they are on is damn impressive. Frazer says yeah, look at them! They’re standing here as the greatest tag team in the world today! And they’re next to the greatest team of all time! Jeff says spare the small talk and let’s make it happen! Fraxiom VS Hardy Boyz, to find who IS the best team in the world!

Wait! Santino makes his way out here, to his classic WWE theme! The fans are all fired up, and Santino revels in that energy! The TNA Director of Authority has a mic, and he says, “Ladies and gentlemen, I have been talking with Ah-vah in the back, and we have a big decision and announcement to make. You see, in New York City, at Roadblock, it’s going to be Fraxiom VS The Hard Boyz! And it’s going to be the TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!!” WHOA! A big move in this NXTNA crossover! Who will be THE best tag team today?

The D’Angelo Family talks at the restaurant.

No one has heard from The Don, they’re all worried. They don’t know what happened. Stacks was in control, then boom, Spears got the drop on him. But then Tony walks in! They all stand at attention, he lets them sit. Tony takes his seat at the head of the table and Stacks tells Tony he’s sorry for last week. Stacks was just trying to- Tony stops Stacks there. You can’t win ’em all, right? Tony appreciates what Stacks did last week. But Tony had to lay low, get things right. Now, he was beaming with pride watch Stacks direct the family in his absence. Spears is a smart guy, a tough guy, and that is something Tony will handle next week.

Stacks says he appreciates that, but should Tony really be doing that in the condition he is in? Can’t he wait? Luca says this is The Don, he can- Tony stops Luca now, and says Stacks is The Underboss, so he gets a say. Tony knows Stacks is just taking care of The Family, as he should. But Stacks, Tony also appreciates what he’s saying. But Tony has to handle this. Rizzo says Tony’s got this. Will the D’Angelo Family be able to thwart everything The Chair Man is trying to do?

Sol Ruca and Zaria spend more time together.

The Sol Surfer wraps up Zaria’s hand, and The Agent of Change says no more handstands! Humans were not meant to walk on their hands! Sol says it is just a sprain, but that training did help them beat Lash & Jakara. Zaria says Sol is neither right nor wrong. Wait, Piper Niven walks in? The “Secret Her-vice” says the coast is clear. The Green Eagle has landed, Chelsea is in the building. Move, move, move! The Women’s US Champion struts in, singing about “massage time~!” But wait, ew, why’re Sol & Zaria still here? Piper, tell them the thrift store is that way, as is the door. Piper goes to repeat the message, but Sol says they heard.

But uh, two back-to-back tag wins makes Sol & Zaria better than Chelsea & Piper. When was the last time they won? Oh, did Sol just smarm them? Yes, but don’t worry. Piper has her STUNGUN! Chelsea tells Piper to tell Sol & Zaria that they’re just Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco: Destined for failure and never stood a chance in the ring against them. Then let’s try that next week? Piper says, “Slow your roll, bad bangs. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.” Chelsea says no, agree to the match! Sign the executive order! Then okay, laters. Sol & Zaria head out, and Chelsea double checks. What’d they just agree to? They have a tag match next week.

Well that was stupid! Why’d Piper say yes to that?! Piper always catches Chelsea’s flack, but will she have to take a bullet for the #RedWhite&Green in the ring?

Lola Vice VS Arianna Grace!

Just as she wanted, “Miss MMA” has her fight with “Miss NXT,” ready to take out a lot of pent up frustration! Will Lola leave the liaison laying? Or can Grace overcome this Vice?

The bell rings, Arianna ducks a roundhouse, and she JABS! Arianna is impressed with herself, and then she ducks a haymaker to JAB again! But Lola BODY BLOWS, then she fires LIGHTNING KICKS! Lola CHOPS Arianna to the corner, the fans cheer, and Lola reminds us, “I’m a Latina~!” HIP ATTACK! Arianna bails out but Lola goes after her. Arianna POSTS Lola, then HEADBUTTS! Arianna brings out that fire as she SMACKS Lola off the apron! Arianna puts Lola in the ring, then dodges a haymaker, to FLYING ELBOW! Arianna bumps Lola off buckles, stomps and ROCKS and repeat! The ref counts, Arianna apologizes, then she hits a NECKBREAKER!

The fans rally up while Arianna stands over Lola. Arianna waves to the fans and says, “Thank you!” Arianna SMACKS Lola off the mat, then clamps on a cravat. Arianna has the neck wrench and the fans rally up. Lola fights up, fires body shots, but Arianna THROWS Lola by her hair! Lola avoids the elbow drop, but Arianna runs up in the corner. Lola dodges, Arianna hits buckles! Lola KICKS, KICKS, and KICKS! Lola fires up and so do the fans. Arianna wants mercy, but she gets an AX KICK! And an URAKEN! Cover, Lola wins!

Winner: Lola Vice, by pinfall

Buenas noches, Arianna. Will Lola use this win to get back on track towards the titles?

Something’s going down backstage!

NQCC just got wiped out! And guess who is behind it all! Dion and his boys slip away into the night, no one is safe! But is this all for tonight? Or are they just waiting until we let down our guard?

Eddy Thorpe speaks.

“Here we are in Cincinnati. And right down the road from Great American Ballpark, near the Ohio River, there was once a time where my people stood proudly on this land. Until they were forcibly removed by a higher authority, pushed out west to be displaced and ignored. That reminds me of something. Like how at Vengeance Day, I did exactly what I said I was gonna do, and I beat NXT’s golden child in Trick Williams. And yet, the powers that be still want to deny me another opportunity to become champion. And I tried doing things the right way, and got labeled the bad guy. Then I beat Trick fair ‘n’ square with my strap, still the bad guy.

“Trick, you say you’re gonna drag me under? Pal, I been down here, fighting every day for the same opportunities that you get. So if I gotta do this again, I want you just as bad as you want me. You name the time and the place. Hoka hey.” The Alpha Wolf is ready to be the big bad wolf, but will he be able to blow Trick down? Or will Trick be made of bricks?

Ringside interview with Ava Raine.

Sarah is with the NXT General Manager, and says it has been an eventful night in Cincy. Let’s keep that going, as Ava has an announcement. Ava says she has a few, actually. We are on the Road to Stand & Deliver, but that first means  we will be live in NYC for Roadblock! As we heard earlier, it will be Oba VS Moose for THE NXT Championship! And as Santino said, it will be Fraxiom VS The Hardy Boyz for the TNA World Tag Team Championships. The fans like the sound of that! But biggest of all, Ava finished talking with Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia. They have agreed to compete 1v1 for the first time in WWE history.

BUT, it won’t just be a normal match. As they wanted, it is Champion VS Champion, Title VS Title, WINNER TAKES ALL! One woman will walk out of The Theater in MSG with both titles! The fans really like that! A historic night is in store, but who will reign supreme in the NXT Women’s Division?

Ricky Saints & Je’Von Evans VS Ethan Page & Wes Lee w/ Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont!

The newest signing to NXT is an absolute game changer, and that doesn’t sit well with those who were here before him. All Ego says Ricky is just copying the formula, The Cardiac Kid says the new guy needs to learn his place. Will they be the gatekeepers to NXT? Or will the revolution still be televised as Ricky teams with The Young OG?

NXT returns as Je’Von makes his entrance. And the fans get excited already as the lights go down. “Welcome to the revolution!” Ricky makes his entrance, with the tron, the song, and the lights! The teams sort out and Je’Von goes right after Ethan! Ethan avoids the haymaker, then takes a swing! Je’Von dodges and he fires haymakers! Ethan kicks low, but Je’Von dodges the haymaker to headlock and takeover! Ethan kips free of that, scrambles away, tag to Wes! The fans boo but Je’Von still wants after Ethan! Je’Von chases Ethan but Tyriek & Tyson get in his way. The fans boo, but Wes WRECKS Je’Von with a dropkick!

Ty, Ty & Ethan all talk trash, then Wes puts Je’Von in. Wes headlocks, Je’Von powers up and out, then leaps up and over. Je’Von goes to the side, springboard and OG CUT- NO! Wes stops the cutter, shoves Je’Von, but Je’Von springboards and flies into the schoolboy roll-up! TWO, and Je’Von blocks a kick! Je’Von FLIPS Wes, Wes lands out, but “ya boi BOUNCY~!” Springboard RANA, and a DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Wes stays in this but Je’Von headlocks. Wes powers up and fights around, but Je’Von reaches out. Tag to Ricky Saints! Ricky & Je’Von double whip, then ELBOW Wes down! And arm-drag! Arm-drag!

Ricky bubs ‘n’ weaves, then hoists Wes up fora  BIG atomic drop! Ricky mocks Wes, keeps him from Ethan, but Wes SLAPS him! The fans boo and Ricky snarls. Ricky ROCKS Wes, ROCKS him again and again, then fires off in a corner! The fans fire up, Ricky bumps Wes off buckles, then tags Je’Von back in. They double whip Wes to ropes, then DOUBLE HIP TOSS! Ethan runs up, but into a DROPKICK HART ATTACK! Je’Von & Ricky stand tall, then they see Wes coming! They TOSS Wes out onto Ethan! Ty & Ty check on their guys but Cincy cheers Je’Von & Ricky while NXT goes picture in picture.

Je’Von goes out to CHOP Ethan, then ROCK Wes! Je’Von brings Wes around to put in the ring. But Ethan keeps Je’Von at the apron! Je’Von BOOTS Ethan into the desk! Je’Von storms up on Wes, UPPERCUTS him, then UPPERCUTS again! Wes is on the ropes, Je’Von wrenches and snapmares to then clamp on a chinbar and armlock. Wes endures, Je’Von puts on the pressure, but Wes reaches up to headscissors Je’Von into a victory roll! TWO! Wes ROCKS Je’Von and has him in a corner. Wes fires forearms, then brings Je’Von around to RAM into the corner. Wes RAMS into Je’Von, RAMS him again, then tags Ethan.

Ethan brings Je’Von to the open corner, but Je’Von blocks the buckle bump to fire haymakers! Je’Von backs Ethan down, whips him corner to corner, but Ethan reverse. Je’Von hits buckles hard, falls to the mat, and Ethan covers, TWO! Ethan snarls, drags Je’Von up, and then scoops, only for Je’Von to slip free! Je’Von shoves Ethan into buckles, then CHOPS him down! Tag to Ricky! Je’Von drags Ethan up, he and Ricky DOUBLE SUPLEX! Ricky keeps Ethan from Wes to drop the KNEE! Ricky drags Ethan up to CHOP him back to the corner. Ricky storms up, ROCKS Ethan, then digs his boots in.

The ref counts, Ricky steps off, and bumps Ethan off buckles again. NXT returns to single picture as Ricky CHOPS Ethan down again. Ricky keeps Ethan from Wes again, tags Je’Von in, and Je’Von goes up. AX HANDLE on the arm! Je’Von brings Ethan up, whips him to a corner, but Ethan reverses. Winners: Ricky Saints & Je’Von Evans, by pinfall

A big signing, a big in-ring debut, and a big first win in NXT, all for Ricky Saints! Is this proof that from here on out, NXT is Absolute?

My Thoughts:

A great NXT here, especially being on the road in Cincy to follow up Raw from last night. Great opening match from Vaquer VS Petrovic, but of course Vaquer was winning that. Giulia coming out to give us Giulia VS Vaquer for both titles was great stuff, but very surprising it’s happening for Roadblock. At the same time, Jordynne Grace called them both out and Grace facing either of them for both titles will be great stuff. Though there seems to be something set up between her and Roxie real quick, maybe that happens at Roadblock as a way to determine who challenges the dual champion at Stand & Deliver.

Very good promo from Trick with Je’Von and Ricky, and I almost feel like Trick having his rematch with Eddy is going to turn Trick Heel. Eddy also had a good promo, and I feel like he and Trick should have a Last Man Standing or I Quit match in order to escalate from the Strap Match. Awesome main event tag from Ricky & Je’Von VS Ethan & Wes. Je’Von being so focused on Ethan was great stuff, and I like that they took themselves out of the match by brawling into the crowd. Ricky of course got the win for his first NXT match, and I’m sure we’ll get a Ricky VS Wes 1v1 match to follow this up.

Great promo with Chelsea & Piper showing up, but I’m a little surprised they’re getting into something with Sol & Zaria. The tag match will be a lot of fun, and I suppose this is to build towards the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Very good promo from Shawn Spears to detail his “family,” and a good promo from the D’Angelo Family. I have a feeling Spears wins the North American Championship next week, but maybe not with Stand & Deliver still needing big matches. Well, I suppose Tony could go for the rematch at Stand & Deliver. And maybe, just maybe, the D’Angelo Family falls apart to give way to Spears’ group.

And a lot of awesome NXTNA crossover tonight. Arianna and Santino having a promo with Lola was good, and it’s funny how Arianna and Santino are still tongue-in-cheek about being daughter and father. Good match with Lola but of course Lola was winning. And Arianna having a part to play in Kelani and Jaida was good. Kelani VS Jaida will also be good, but hard to say who wins. I think it really depends on the plans of the women’s titles. Moose and Lexis King was a great title match, and that was probably Lexis’s best match yet. But Moose of course won, he wasn’t going to drop the X-Division title in NXT.

Oba had a very good promo with Moose, and of course we getting Oba VS Moose. Putting the NXT Championship on the line is good stuff but I think that gives away Oba winning. Or at least, something has to happen where Champion’s Advantage comes into play and Oba retains. Hardy Boyz VS Fraxiom for the TNA World Tag titles is probably the flipside, with Matt & Jeff retaining. Great match from The Hardy Boyz VS Myles & Heights, but I feel like the Hardys are nearing the end of the road. They still do great on the mic but there are subtle signs in the match that they’re starting to lose a step. It’s mostly Jeff doing Whisper in the Wind, he probably needs to retire that move…

NQCC being the new victims of Dion’s still unnamed faction was rather interesting. These guys seem to be after the tag division way more than anything else. Maybe at Roadblock, these four actually make their identities known so we can get to the faction name and some feuds. I’m thinking their favorite phrase of “No One Is Safe” turns into “NOIS,” as in “noise.” They’re “making noise” over how NXT treated Dion, or something like that.

My Score: 9/10
