SmackDown opens with Michael Cole in the ring.

He welcomes to the show, The Original Bro, Matt Riddle! Riddle heads to the ring, still feeling good after his defeat of AJ Styles in his “debutt.” Riddle picks up a mic and Cole talks about that “auspicious beginning” when he defeated a former WWE World and United States Champion and current Intercontinental Champion. Can he put into words what that moment meant to him? “Not really.” To go from NXT to SmackDown, that’s pretty awesome. To stand in this ring, it’s the love child of a lot of work and a lot of dreams, bro. Then, to have Styles hitting him in the face, like bro, Riddle respects you! But at the same time, it might be more Riddle liking AJ than AJ liking him.

After that victory, celebrating with the SmackDown roster, from Daniel Bryan to Drew Gulak to Otis and the New Day, bro, like, Riddle could get used to this. The crowd likes the sound of that. Speaking of getting used to things, Riddle competes barefoot! Why? Well Cole, that is a great question. He is sure everyone is wondering. Riddle warns us, it’s a long story. But as a child, he would go on vacation to Wisconsin during the winter. There was a sweet indoor pool, then he’d go in the snow. He went back and forth, back and forth, but stayed out too long once and his feet felt on fire.

They went to the hospital, they confirmed he had frostbite, they almost amputated them, bro. Luckily, he recovered, so it didn’t come to that. But he never wears shoes now because he gets that burning sensation. It could be a wedding, a bar mitzah, or a hanging with bear, Riddle doesn’t wear shoes. Riddle learned that you can lose everything in a single moment. And even though Riddle can’t feel his feet, his feet allow him to feel everything much more. Cole encourages Riddle to stay barefoot and would love to see what comes next for Riddle. Well here comes Baron Corbin! The Lone Wolf King heads right to the ring, grabs a mic of his own, and tells Riddle that he could’ve saved us all a bunch of time by saying, “When I was a little kid, I was an idiot. And I still am to this very day.”

As for Cole, Cole embarrassed himself by praising a “bag of bones” that can’t even carry Corbin’s crown! And now he’s interviewing this guy? Cole should know better than that. Get out of the ring! Cole does go back to commentary as Corbin wants to talk that stunt Riddle pulled last week. Riddle added on as Corbin was being beat up by Jeff Hardy, The New Day and Braun Strowman. They should all know better than that! They should BOW DOWN to the king! This will not be tolerated! Corbin doesn’t like Riddle, no one is happy Riddle is here and no one wants Riddle here. So Corbin personally wants to ruin Riddle’s time here. Well you do you, bro.

What? What does that even mean?! But Corbin says it means that here on SmackDown, Riddle better be ready at any moment. Especially since someone needs to teach him respect and put him in his place. Then lets go, bro! No! Riddle doesn’t get a shot at the king just like that! Instead, Riddle’s opponent is… John Morrison! The Guru of Greatness, accompanied by The Miz, heads to the ring to do the king’s bidding. “Hey hey! Ho ho! The bro has got to go!” Will we see things go Corbin’s way? Or will his knew “knight” find out what the “new guy” can do?

Or can Styles keep hold of the Intercontinental title?

Corbin, Miz and Morrison regroup backstage.

Riddle is fixing to wake up in Slam Town! But then Sarah walks over to interview them about what just happened, and gets a lot of attitude from the upset Miz and Morrison. Corbin says he knows how things work around here, and he will talk with some people. Riddle may not have had his feet cut off as a kid, but he will have his legs cut out from under his career. Solid burn, King! These three head out, just what pull does Corbin have to ruin Riddle’s good times?

Bayley and Sasha Banks return to SmackDown!

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions have been on all the brands this week, with the contract signing and Mixed Tag Match on Raw and The Boss taking the fight to the Evil Genius on NXT. These two have title matches at Extreme Rules as Sasha goes after Asuka’s Raw Women’s Championship and Bayley defends her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nikki Cross. But that’s in a few weeks, as tonight is about who else? Themselves.

“Do you know the week that we’ve had?” The #GoldenRoleModels have rolled through everyone! The Empress of Yesterday lost to Sasha. But they won’t mention what happened in Full Sail themselves, since Asuka made sure Sasha lost to Io Shirai. But now they’re home! The crowd should be calling them #Sasha3Shows and #Bayley3Brands! They’re everywhere! And still, they get no respect working their tails off! But there is someone who respects them. Ding dong! Hello? THE UNDERTAKER! Wait, what? Yes, “Taker,” the Phenom, called Bayley after the show last week and said, “Bayley Dos Straps…! I’m quite frankly embarrassed at all the fuss and tribute that you guys paid to me last week, when clearly, you are the greatest champion in WWE history!” Goosebumps! He said Bayley and Banks are redefining what it means to be a champion!

But there’s more! He also said that at Extreme Rules, he is excited to see them win the titles and hold all the gold! He knows what’s up! Taker implores the WWE to pay these two the proper respect, with a tribute to them! Who are Bayley and Banks to NOT grant Taker his wish? Did no one watch The Last Ride? Bayley did and finally we can move on! But why wait for after Extreme Rules? Let’s do the tribute TONIGHT! Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy the tribute to Sasha and Bayley!

“Unstoppable, unbeatable, first-ever women’s tag team champions, the Golden Role Models. Bayley and Banks have dominated everybody that’s stepped in their path.” Two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are each once in a generation talent! Sasha was a headliner for Hell in a Cell, and is one half of the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions. They’re not alone on the top, because they have each other! The greatest tag team of all time, the Blueprint and the Role Model! Belt clink. What makes Bayley so great is that she carried the division on her back for over a year. The first ever Women’s Grand Slam! No one else can even dream about that! The closest thing they’ll get to a Grand Slam is a greasy breakfast at Denny’s.

Better than Trish Stratus? YES. Better than John Cena? Without a doubt! Lita? Absolutely! And no one else comes even close. “Damn we’re good!” The titles represent their friendship, and are without a doubt the best ever. Unstoppable, unbeatable, unconquerable!

Back to present, Sasha chants, “Thank You, Bayley!” and Bayley responds with, “Thank You, Sasha!” The crowd boos them both. But then here comes Bliss-Cross! Alexa and Nikki have mics to respond. “Wow, that was really, um… Inspirational.” But it was pretty truthful, as they accomplished so much. But there were some details left out, so Nikki and Alexa have a list of their own. Did you know that Nikki is not only a WWE superstar but the Queen of Scotland! And is 325th in line to the throne in England. Fancy! As for Alexa, she is the epitome of a champion, and is the first woman to drive and cross Antarctica in a go-cart! Nikki and Alexa trade off saying, “You’re the best!” but then glare at the tag champs.

In seriousness, we all know how this is ridiculous. Oh yeah right. Did they not watch that video? Many have tried, including Alexa multiple times, but no one can touch Sasha’s bestie for the past YEAR. And Sasha will be damned if that hyper little runt does different. Alexa says we’ve heard this song and dance before. Sasha and Bayley claim to be best friends, blah blah blah. Nikki speaks up and says Byaley’s accomplishment have brought her success. But Nikki’s journey has been about heart. If she puts her entirety into this, she can take that title and become the NEW SmackDown Women’s Champion! The crowd likes the sound of that but Sasha and Bayley mock her. So Alexa SLAPS Bayley off her feet!

Sasha will not stand for this! Bayley will fight you in a preview! What? Challenge accepted. What?!? It seems this time, Sasha’s mouth has written a check. Can Bayley cash it?

Bayley w/ Sasha Banks VS Alexa Bliss w/ Nikki Cross!

SmackDown returns but Bayley has to fight in street clothes! The bell rings and Bayley is still stinging from that slap, but she still powers Alexa to a corner. Alexa strikes a pose and then shoos Sasha. Bayley comes back and kicks Alexa’s hand! Sasha taunts Alexa as Bayley drags Alexa in and throws the hand down on the mat. Bayley stands on the fingers to STOMP the arm! Sasha mocks Alexa’s pose, then Bayley gives Alexa shoulder breaker after shoulder breaker in the corner! Bayley brings Alexa around and pulls on the fingers in an almost Disarm-Her position. Bayley jams the arm then covers, TWO!

Bayley keeps on Alexa’s bad hand and makes Alexa slap herself! Sasha taunts Alexa as Bayley puts her in a keylock. Nikki and the crowd rallies up, Alexa fights to her feet, but Bayley throws her down by her hair. Bayley mocks Nikki but then Alexa rolls her! TWO, and Bayley clobbers Alexa! Cover, TWO! Bayley grows annoyed with Alexa, and with Nikki rallying the crowd. Bayley runs and elbows Alexa in the corner! She snapmares, stomps the hand again, then knuckle locks. Alexa handsprings through, breaks free and ROCKS Bayley! But that bad hand is bothering her now. She drags Bayley up but Bayley throws her down and drags her out, to SLAM the arm on the apron! Bayley gets back in, covers, TWO!

Alexa gets to a corner, Bayley fires herself up and mocks Nikki again. Bayley runs in to corner splash and then bulldog! Nikki snarls at Bayley taking her moves. Bayley covers, TWO! Bayley drags Alexa around and stands on the bad hand. Bayley mocks the rallying but lets up on Alexa’s hand. Nikki genuinely rallies the crowd for “Lexi! Lexi!” but Bayley swipes at her. Nikki gets on the apron, but this distracts the ref! Bayley throws Alexa into Sasha’s knee! But then Nikki BLASTS Sasha! Bayley dares Nikki to do something, and so Nikki DECKS her!

Winner: Bayley, by disqualification

Nikki did something, and now she TACKLES Bayley! Nikki rains down rights, clubs her but Bayley pushes her away. Nikki corner splashes Bayley, but Sasha saves Bayley from the bulldog! Will anything save Bayley from Nikki’s wrath? Or will Nikki’s rage cost her at Extreme Rules?

SmackDown looks back on the relationship of Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt.

It all started years ago in a swamp. It was there that the Monster Among Men first met “the split-tongue Father of Lies, the Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt.” Bray told us all that we were lying to ourselves. The ones that were meant to protect us were the ones we should truly fear. The Black Sheep, a horseman of pain and pestilence in the apocalypse, admits he enjoyed it all. But Braun has broken that spell and has locked that side away. That’s not to say he wasn’t still as dominant and destructive. But then, the Firefly Fun House brought him back. “In order for us to move forward, we must first take a step back.” Which brings us “home.” To destroy him, Braun must become him. Braun must drown the serpent in his own swamp. Braun will go home. But will he go back to being that monster?

SmackDown has a special treat for next week!

For the first time on TV, it will be the WWE Universal Championship match from Money in the Bank! Relive Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman meeting in the ring again and understand why this coming rematch is so crucial! But that’s not all, as Bliss-Cross will take on the #GoldenRoleModels in a tag team match! Will Nikki and Alexa score big against Bayley and Banks? Or will the role models stay on a roll? And with what we just saw, the SmackDown Tag Team Champions are on the line! Will Cesaro and Nakamura take those titles by any means necessary?

SmackDown returns to Jeff Hardy heading to the ring!

The Charismatic Enigma has been on a roller coaster, all thanks to the Celtic Warrior pushing his buttons. There is a minibar in the ring with champagne, beer and any number of other alcoholic drinks. Hardy dares Sheamus to come out here and do whatever he has planned to embarrass, humiliate and/or break him. But Sheamus shows up via Titantron. Welcome to Sheamy’s Bar! Sheamus knows how hotheaded Hardy can be so that’s why Sheamus is giving him this much space. And what about last week? Hardy must’ve felt great defending Taker’s honor and being given such a warmhearted applause.

But here’s the thing: that adrenaline rush is just Hardy slipping back to his old ways. Hardy will just fall into that vicious cycle again. Hardy has a problem. And not with drugs or alcohol and all the money wasted on rehab as he disappoints his family and friends, or even the best years of his career. It’s Hardy’s problem with facing reality. Hardy was moping after losing at Backlash, and then he sticks his nose in someone else’s business as a quick pick-me-up. In Hardy’s mind, everything is right in the world again. The way Sheamus sees it, it’s sad, pathetic and heartbreaking. We’ve seen this all before. But it has to be different, right? Hardy’s gonna show up when it matters most! But the truth is, that’s all a lie. Sheamus can’t bear to see it.

So being the “kind-hearted” man Sheamus is, here’s the solution! Just open a bottle. Here’s to a proper toast. “May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more, as you drink yourself blind and pass out on the floor. Your wife and kids cry as you enter their thoughts, because your life has been nothing but a series of DUI’s and mugshots. Jeff, with a drink in your hand, you’ll never walk alone. Please never change, you beautiful, beautiful junkie.” Bottoms up for Sheamus. Hardy says they’re taught to never take another’s inventory, but Sheamus has to be the sickest person he’s ever met. Is this funny to him? Making fun of people’s day-to-day struggles? Is it funny to rub their noses in the pain he’s caused?!

Whoa, Jeff, brother. Sheamus isn’t here to hurt, but to help! All Sheamus is saying is that Hardy doesn’t have to live the lie anymore. Sheamus knows there’s nothing Hardy would rather do but jump into the gutter in with both feet. That’s why the bar is set up. As friends, bomb’s away! The bartender offers Hardy some champagne, Sheamus tells him to take it. We’ve seen the pain in Hardy’s eyes, and felt the pressure on his shoulders. Don’t pretend to be strong for the crowds. Do what you’ve always done: follow your instincts. Hardy says Sheamus has a point. What’s the worst that could happen? There’s that Hardy Sheamus remembers! Hardy brings the glass up, but pours it on the bartender’s head. The crowd cheers as Hardy SMASHES a bottle on the bartender’s head, too!

Sheamus can’t believe what he’s seeing as Hardy gives the bartender a SWANTON BOMB! The crowd cheers loud and proud for the Enigma’s self-control! Hardy swears to show Sheamus just how strong he truly is, but just how far will he have to go to do just that?

My Thoughts:

A pretty good episode here, though I might’ve rearranged some things. For one, the Sheamus and Hardy segment closing the show was fine, it shows they want to make that story feel bigger, but the way it played out, I would’ve actually had it start the second hour. The main event could’ve been the women’s segment with that very well made but also very cheesy self-praising tribute for Bayley and Banks, as supposedly made by Bayley and Banks. Bayley’s attempt at sounding like Taker was clearly meant to be bad, because Bayley’s gimmick now is to do things she thinks works and mock things that don’t. Bayley and Alexa had a pretty good match, too, and I actually like that Nikki ended up interfering. Nikki’s anger could be a good part of the story for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match.

While I wanted Mandy VS Sonya to get the Extreme Rules match type, I don’t know how much they’re going to put into that story with how things are going in reality with the health concerns. Bayley VS Nikki becoming at least No Disqualifications could add layers to how Bayley and Banks are getting involved in something on all three brands. If Bayley is in a No DQ situation, she might try and get Sasha to help her, even though Sasha has to worry about challenging Asuka. Also hearing that Bayley VS Asuka in a Champion VS Champion match is happening is great stuff. I am really curious to see if Io Shirai gets involved to return the favor from NXT.

Riddle had a decent interview segment with Cole, but I figured Corbin was going to show up. Also it is apparently WWE law that Heels become friends with other Heels just because they’re Heels. Corbin has Miz and Morrison hanging around him now with Ziggler and Roode now on Raw. It’s probably why Corbin stopped being the Lone Wolf and is now the King of the Ring. Can’t be the loner if you keep getting help. Morrison VS Riddle was an incredible opener and a great win for Riddle. Styles attacking Riddle made sense given two weeks ago, and Gulak going after Styles made sense on both tonight and on Gulak and Riddle once being Team Catch Point in Evolve Wrestling. Styles VS Gulak was also incredible, but naturally Styles finds a way to win to keep the title. I’m definitely looking forward to Styles VS Riddle in the future, but it feels like Riddle and possibly Heavy Machinery taking on Corbin, Miz and Morrison for a really good Six Man Tag.

We got a really good vignette for Braun VS Bray II: The Swamp Fight. That match could easily be great but it could also be the new House of Horrors. Replaying their MITB match next week is obviously a move to fill time while stars specifically on SmackDown are dealing with COVID concerns. That’ll be an easy copy-paste for me, that’s for sure. The SmackDown Tag Team Championship story is going good, but I’m disappointed they’re putting that right on TV. Nakamura VS Kofi tonight was great, so I was kinda hoping we were getting Cesaro VS Big E as the flip side. Perhaps something happens to add controversy to the tag match’s ending, and then we get a tag title match for Extreme Rules, where a table can be used, as Cesaro heavily implied.

My Score: 8.2/10

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 3.13.2025

Anything add heat on the Go Home for Sacrifice tomorrow? Let’s see!

Published

on

Sacrifice Go Home show! There’s a couple matches that will act a previews for tomorrow’s event, an advantage match for the Cage and an undercard Knockouts match to maybe help us figure out exactly where things are going with Rosemary and Xia Brookside.

There’s a lot of chances to leave an impression and make tomorrow feel like more than just a B Level Event. But I guess we have to see what they put together.

Let’s get to it.

Ratings:

  • Eddie Edwards w/Alisha vs Leon Slater: Eddie wins via Boston Knee Party – ** 3/4
  • Wes Lee w/Tyriek & Tyson vs Laredo Kid: Wes wins via Cardiac Kick – ** 1/4
  • Rosemary vs Xia Brookside: Xia wins via DQ – * 1/2
  • JDC vs Deaner: JDC wins via Falcon Arrow – *
  • Tessa Blanchard & Cora Jade vs Masha Slamovich & Lei Ying Li: Tessa wins via Buzzsaw DDT – *** 1/4
  • TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Joe Hendry (c) vs Ryan Nemeth: Hendry retains via Standing Ovation immediately – N/A
  • TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Joe Hendry (c) vs Hammerstone: Hendry retains via Standing Ovation – ***

Results:

Eddie Edwards w/Alisha vs Leon Slater

Eddie tries to attack while Leon is playing to the crowd on the ropes, so he Backflips over Eddie to dodge and starts catch Eddie with a few strikes and 10 Count Punches before Eddie takes his head off with a Back Elbow. A little back and forth, Leon Headscissors Eddie to the outside, Eddie catches the Dive, tries to throw Leon into the steps but Leon leaps the steps and then vaults himself into Eddie. Eddie rolls back in, Leon looks to keep on him but Lish starts mouthing off and distracts Leon so he gets Stun Gunned. Eddie drags him to the outside and rams him into the steps shoulder first.

Eddie focuses on the arm with the banged up shoulder, whips him into the corner, drags him out with Arm Wringers, and little submissions and annoying moves trying to rip the arm off. Eddie has a ton of control until he gets too comfortable and Leon makes some space with the Feint Mule Kick. Rope run spot, Shotgun Kick from Leon catches Eddie, Leon hits a Springboard Crossbody for two because he’s still favoring the arm and couldn’t hook the leg. As Leon tries to pull Eddie up, Eddie pulls down on the bad arm, the work to the corner, Enzuigiri from Eddie, Backpack Stunner attempt but Leon slips it a few more counters from Leon, he slips a Blue Thunder to attempt a Lethal Injection but gets caught into a Blue Thunder Bomb anyway! Only a two, but as Eddie tries to find an angle, Leon strikes quick with a Leg Lariat, heads to the top but Eddie crotches him. Leon does fight off the top , Swanton 450 attempt misses, rolls through, goes for a Spear, Eddie dodges so Leon hits the post and falls backwards. Boston Knee Party gives The System the advantage in the cage match tomorrow.

Wes Lee w/Tyriek & Tyson vs Laredo Kid

Wes shouldn’t even need to cheat to beat Laredo, everyone beats Lucha Job.

Wes starts with a Top Wristlock, Laredo and Wes go into a World of Sport style exchange of counter rolls, Headlocks, Wrist control breaks and what not. Wes powders, Laredo goes for a Baseball Slide but Wes moves, now a bit of a Lucha style back and forth with rope runs, leap frogs and Headscissors from Laredo sends Wes out, so Laredo follows up with an Asai Moonsault, and this is the best Laredo has looked in forever. Wes gets rocked by a right hand, Laredo perches and hits the Crossbody for two.

Spinning counter attempts from both before Wes gets the best of it and tosses Laredo into the bottom buckle and then starts stringing together a strike combo punctuated with a Dropkick between the Shoulder Blades. Wes throws Laredo across, looks to charge but Laredo catches him with a few kicks, looks to fly but Wes crotches him, and hits a Brainbuster for a near fall. Fighting Spirit strike exchange that Laredo gets the best of and hits a Running Neckbreaker. Superman Forearm as Wes heads to the corner, Michinoku Driver, two Corkscrew Elbows for a two count. Wes catches Laredo and looks for a big move but Laredo hits the Cradle, only two. Laredo charges but a low Dropkick sends Laredo face first into the buckles, Reverse Power Slam into Cardiac Kick and Wes wins.

This was a bad look for Wes. Sure he won clean, but Laredo gave him a fight and Laredo is garbage.

Rosemary vs Xia Brookside

Rosemary starts choking Xia immediately, but Xia pushes off, Headscissors, Dropkick and follows Rosemary to the corner to do her little wiggle into the Monkey Flip. Rosemary doesn’t eat offense long firing up and taking her head off with a Lariat and some ground and pound. A charging Forearm to the corner, Release Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. Xia tries to fight back up to her feet but Rosemary chokes her with the boot and gets a little nasty keeping Xia grounded.

Xia pysches herself up, slams Rosemary into the corner, tries to continue but gets caught in the Upside Down. Rosemary goes to the top, but Xia crotches Rosemary and Rosemary falls off the top ropes. A few forearms into a Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors, Broken Wings, looks for another corner move but Rosemary catches her, Xia gets out, hits the Crossbody and a quick Thrust Kick causes Rosemary to powder. Xia is upset she missed a possible pinfall chance, Rosemary introduces a chain, Xia steps on Rosemary’s hand and takes the chain, wraps it around her hand and gets misted!

So even though Xia was considering being less babyface, she instead got green faced and wins by DQ.

JDC vs Deaner

I hate this cringe People’s Choice thing. The last like 4 months without him (if we don’t count Xplosion) has been great.

Ugh…stupid start, Deaner gets early offense after JDC tries to tell him to save himself a beating and just go home. Dango slips the 10 count punches and Snake Eyes on Deaner, then just literally throws him across the ring, slaps the taste out of his mouth and starts his own 10 Counts before Deaner hits a Manhattan Drop. Short Lariats into the 10 Count Punches…ugh this is cornball. It’s not funny, it’s not well wrestled…but thankfully Dango slips the Deaner DDT by shoving Deaner towards the ref, Deaner puts on the brakes to not bump the ref, Poke to the Eye and nobody kicks out of the Falcon Arrow.

Tessa Blanchard & Cora Jade vs Masha Slamovich & Lei Ying Li

Tessa and Masha start, Tessa is cocky, Pie Faces Masha, then slaps her, Masha fires tripping Tessa into the rope and Lariating Tessa to the corner, so Cora tags in and then talks about wanting Lei in. Cora tries to slap twice, Double Over Hooks from Lei, a quick toss to the corner, Flying Kick keeps Cora in the corner and 10 Count Punches into a Snap Suplex from Lei for a near fall. Cora tries to send Lei into her corner, Tessa was getting her boot up but Lei stops herself. Cora shoves her into the corner anyway so Tessa grinds Lei’s face across the ropes, Cora with a Forearm to the back of the head one Tessa stops interfering. Cora tags in Tessa, clobbers Lei a few times, Cora and Tessa start trying to call shots, Tessa tags in Cora. Locomotion corner spot, Tessa charges, Lei gets her hands up so Tessa puts the brakes on and waits for Lei to Slap the taste out of her mouth. Another locomotion spot, Cora perches Lei on the middle rope, Codebreaker from Tessa, Cora then tries a Front Facelock to keep Lei down. Lei starts to fire up, dual Lariats, simultaneous tags, Masha starts lighting everyone up. Uses Cora to DDT Tessa after a Lariat but it’s only a two count. Masha looks for Requiem but it gets blocked, Tessa goes for a Cutter but that gets blocked and Tessa gets dropped by a Front Snap Kick.

Masha puts Tessa on the top buckle but Cora cuts Masha off, Signature spam moment. Lei hits an F5 on Cora, Magnum hit on Lei and Masha hits a Shotgun Kick. Lei and Cora fight on the outside as Tessa and Masha trade blows in the ring. Tessa is wobbly to start so Masha lands the better looking hits that just totally cross up Tessa, but Tessa slips it with a eye rake, Lei hits a Spinning Heel Kick to stop Tessa, Cora clocks Masha with the Knockouts title while the ref is dealing with Lei and Tessa, so Tessa slides in with the Buzzsaw DDT for the win.

A surprisingly good match for the 9pm hour. All four women were aggressive, the moves made sense, hit well, and the finish made sense. I’m actually impressed from whoever put that together.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Joe Hendry (c) vs Hammerstone

Santino comes out to tell Hendry who his mystery opponent is, Ryan Nemeth comes out and states the Nic gave him his rematch clause and he’s using it right now. Slide in and eats a Standing Ovation immediately. So after that, Santino says that wasn’t who he had set up, asks Hendry to work again, Hendry agrees and announces Hammerstone.

Both keep it close and tight with Collar and Elbow tie ups going nowhere, trading Headlocks, trading Chops, Shoulder Tackle big boy spot, but Hammer is the bigger boy. Hammer knocks Joe down, looks to get a head of steam but Joe hits a Knee Lift to stun Hammer. Joe looks for a Suplex or something but Hammer blocks and shoves Joe into the steel post. Joe bounces Hammer off the apron, Hammer rolls in, powders back out and looks to take control back but we go to commercial. Back from commercial Hammer is still mostly in control. Hendry has a small flurry but a one handed Spinebuster gives Hammer a near fall.

Hendry tries to fire up, Euro Uppers answered by overhand rights, and neither is giving too much ground until Hendry hits 4 Uppers in a row, Lariat, but then Hammer fires and a Lariat of his own, into a Shotgun Dropkick have Hammer looking to finish. Hendry counters Hammer’s lift with one of his own, Stalling Suplex on Hammer gives Hendry a small shot. Lariat from Hendry rocks Hammer, Sack of Shit into the Kip Up, and the turn into the stomp calling for the Standing Ovation. Hammer counters the goozle with one of his own, Joe breaks that, but Hammer turns it into a T-Bone Suplex into a Powerslam. Pump Kick into Release German from Hammer, then the Powerbomb into Boston Crab spot.

Joe presses himself up and gets to the ropes. Nightmare Pendulum, countered with a Small Package, Hammer tries to German Suplex Hendry but Hendry blocks and hits his own German. Attitude Adjustment from Joe, Standing Ovation, and Hendry retains.

Post-Match the System hits the ring and mug Hendry, then the rest of the Babyface team come out for the save. Classic TNA schmoz ending and Moose and Hardy are even fighting on the outside throwing each other into Kaz on commentary.

Overall Score: 6.25/10

Honestly the only thing objectively bad is Deaner’s existence. Maclin and EY vignette was a little corny but worked for the story they’re telling, Concierge is gold, Ali and Santana segment was great, Knockouts tag match was really good, main even goofiness with Ryan is appreciated since Ryan is doing great work with this gimmick. Also I guess this was the only way to get Hammerstone a title shot with all of his lost time and apparent Free Agency now. So at least the match wasn’t bad, it wasn’t even close to the bangers he had in MLW, but it was a serviceable TV main event.

Last thing to mention is Xia seemingly going from Brookside to Darkside. She wanted to use the chain, Rosemary just had another trick up her sleeve. So the fact that Xia is the Angel of the ring, and Rosemary is a Demon…they seem like a perfect pairing if she became more of a “Fallen Angel”. And yes I’m aware that’s Christopher Daniels in the history of TNA, but I’m pretty sure we’ve never seen Xia gig herself on camera, so we can pass that concept along.

Did this excite me more for Sacrifice? Honestly a little. Not sure if Cora will be cleared to wrestle, so how quickly they move to Tessa will be an interesting watch. Santana and Ali have a little more heat and with the concierge being involved in the match, that could give Ash and Heather an angel to actually win the match. It’s been a fairly one sided affair when it’s 2v2 with Concierge as manager, so if this doesn’t give the Elegance Clique the win…then Heather better just turn on them and dissolve the comedy team. Because the Knockouts Tag is already a joke, but the fact it’s really just been 2 teams for 4 months is pathetic. Take the belts behind the shed and shoot ’em.

It took a second to get the ring rust off, but SAP still gets the W! Will they also get after the ROH World Tag Team Championships on this Road to Dynasty?

Chris Jericho speaks.

The Neuve holds up the mask of Gravity, and says, “It’s the perfect word, isn’t it, Bandido? Because that what’s exactly has been introduced into our situation: gravity.” The temperature has changed, Jericho knows Bandido can feel it. And does Bandido know why? It’s because Jericho humiliated Bandido in front of his own family. Jericho embarrassed Bandido’s brother, and stole his mask. Jericho scared Bandido’s sister and made their mother cry in front of Bandido! How does someone come back from that? How does Bandido ever look her in the eye, knowing the disappointment she has in him?

“It’s a shame, isn’t it. Maybe you brought this upon yourself, I don’t know. Or maybe you’re just the unlucky son of a b*tch who was standing in the way of Chris Jericho when I decided to stop letting people take advantage of me and stop letting people get so comfortable around me. Your life is changed forever, Bandido. It’s not a good thing, and I know you know that. The gravity…” Jericho drops the mask, and not just the physical one. Will the Most Wanted be able to get revenge on the real Chris Jericho?

Leila Grey speaks.

“From the moment that I stepped into this company, I’ve had to fight to prove that I belonged. I dimmed my light so others could shine, let them push me down time after time. But through it all, I never broke. Whenever they knocked me down, I always got back up. When I feared I wasn’t good enough, I went to the NJPW LA Dojo to sharpen my craft. When I thought I wasn’t fit enough, I stepped onto the body building stage and proved to myself that I’m not just strong, I am unstoppable. And now, things are about to change. New Year, New Me. And I’m aiming straight for the top. Because I’m not just in the game anymore, I’m playing the game.

“So it’s time I stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight, because I’m out of this world, baby! And I’m about to light this women’s division on fire. Who am I? I’m the Baddie, Leila Grey, and you ain’t seen nothing yet. Get it? Got it? Good.”

Leila Grey VS Lady Frost!

We just heard from The Baddie that she’s more than just a Top Flight Attendant, and that she is ready to soar all on her own. Will she be too hot to handle for the Coolest Wrestler You Know? Or will she bow down to the Queen of Murder Gymnastics?

The Code of Honor is upheld and the bell rings. The two circle, tie up, and Frost arm-drags Grey. Grey gets up but Frost arm-drags her again. Grey brushes that off, but Frost gets around her to waistlock. Grey switches, SLAMS Frost down, then holds on for a bearhug. Frost moves around, Grey holds on, and Grey rolls to a cover. ONE, Grey holds on, but Frost fights up to her feet. Frost pries at the waistlock but then Grey shifts to a headlock. The fans rally up, Frost powers up, but Grey holds on tight. Frost fights up again, fires body shots, then she headlocks. Grey fires body shots, powers out, and drops down, but Frost handsprings over.

Things keep moving, both women run, but Grey avoids a collision by slipping around to a backslide. TWO, and Grey ROCKS Frost! And ROCKS her! And kicks, KICKS, and KICKS! Grey runs to SHOTGUN Frost down! The fans fire up as Frost goes to a corner. Grey storms up, fires forearms, but Frost turns things around to CHOP! Frost CHOPS again, the fans “WOO~,” and Frost winds up again. Grey blocks the chop to CHOP back! Grey has Frost in a corner, CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! But Frost turns things around to CLUB, CHOP, and repeat! The fans fire up, Frost runs in and RAMS Grey! Then Frost rolls back, so she can RAM Grey again!

Frost whips corner to corner, runs up, but Grey dodges to SHINING WIZARD! Grey RUNNING CUTTERS, then rolls back, DRAGON SLEEPER STRETCH! Frost endures, the fans rally up, but Grey pulls her around! Frost rolls to make it a cover, TWO! Grey lets Frost go, but then Frost cradles her! TWO!! Grey has it, TWO!! Both women get up, Grey kicks low! Grey reels Frost in and underhooks, but Frost BACKDROPS free! Grey staggers to her feet, Frost dodges the lariat, and Frost comes back to LARIAT Grey! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as Grey stays in this. Grey goes to a corner, Frost runs up and GAMANGIRIS!

Grey sits down, Frost goes corner to corner, and she handsprings for a SNOWBALL FIGHT! Frost puts Grey in the drop zone, goes up top, but Grey stands! Grey gets under the leap, comes back, but Frost kicks a leg out! Grey ducks the buzzsaw but not the HEEL KICK! Grey ducks duck the spin kick, and she rolls Frost up! High stack, GREY WINS!

Winner: Leila Grey, by pinfall

Even Grey is surprised! She was almost on ice, but she broke through to get this huge victory! Will Grey finally get on course for a title opportunity?

8 Man Tag: Top Flight & The Gates of Agony VS The Frat House & The Premier Athletes!

Four teams that want their shot at the tag titles are in a 4v4 showdown for some unlikely alliances. Can Darius & Dante Martin help Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona #OpenTheGates? Or will Cole Karter & Preston Vance show Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari how to party?

Sigh… “Smart” Mark Sterling would have to take over the introductions. “Everybody knows that this is Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari, and The Premier Athletes are absolutely undefeated in 2025! And that is because they are like a locomotive! They are on track, they are fueled, they are hot, and they are ready to leave the station! Now, we’ve decided to let the losers in Oakland jump on that train! Except for that guy with the Better Call Mark sign, he’s allowed on. So, when I say, ‘Athletes,’ you say, ‘Rule,’ nothing else! Hands in, boys. Ohh… ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Oakland is smarter than Sterling.

But moving on, the Frat House boys make their way out, Jacked Jameson having moved on from his days of hyping up with a mic. Vance rips up a fan sign that talks trash on him, then the Frat joins the Athletes in the ring. After that, Top Flight and the Gates of Agony make their entrances, and the Gates lead the charge! Liona CLOBBERS Karter, Kaun is after Vance, and Top Flight goes after the Premier Athletes! The fans fire up for the brawl as Liona stands on Karter’s face! Kaun whips Vance HARD into railing! Sterling protests while Top Flight double whip the Athletes. Nese & Daivari reverse but Top Flight grabs ropes to stop.

Nese & Daivari run up, Darius BOOTS Daivari while Dante TOSSES Nese! Nese is on the apron, Darius sets up, Dante gives Nese some POETRY IN FLIGHT! Atomic drop for Daivari, leg sweep and DOUBLE STOMPS add on! Dante covers, TWO! Dante wrenches Daivari, but Daivari pulls hair! The ref counts, Nese tags in, and the Athletes mug Dante! The fans boo and the ref counts, but the Athletes let off. “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Nese & Daivari still don’t get it, but Nese stomps Dante. Nese drags Dante up, the fans boo, but Nese ROCKS Dante! Dante ROCKS Nese, Nese SOBATS, and then KNEE LIFT for a LEG SWEEP! Cover, TWO!

Nese tells Oakland try again: “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Y’know, that means doubly so with the A’s having left Oakland. Nese ROCKS and CHOPS Dante, then tags Karter. Karter stomps Dante, brings him around, and then whips. Dante ducks ‘n’ arm-drags Karter, to then have him in the corner! A-LIST LARIAT, tag to Darius! Darius snap suplexes Karter, tag back to Dante for the slingshot SENTON! Tag to Kaun, he adds a slingshot SENTON! Tag to Liona and the fans fire up! Liona lines up a shot, and he slingshot SENTONS! The fans fire up and Liona covers, TWO! Liona drags Karter up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Darius.

Darius kicks Karter, bumps him off buckles, then UPPERCUTS! Darius whips, Karter reverses, but Darius slips to the outside! Darius RAMS Karter, ELBOWS Vance, GAMANGIRIS Karter, but Nese distracts the ref so Vance can YANK Darius from the apron, and LARIAT him down! The fans boo but the ref has to keep Kaun back, which just lets Jameson and Sterling get shots in! Vance puts Darius in, Karter drags him up, and he DROPKICKS Darius down! Cover, ONE, but Karter drags Darius up. Karter TOSSES Darius out, distracts the ref, and now everyone in Karter’s corner stomps away! So Liona storms over, with a chair!

The fans fire up and at least Darius gets in the ring. Karter tags Daivari, they mug Darius, and then Daivari hits a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Daivari keeps on Darius with a KNEE in the back! Daivari clamps on a chinlock and he grinds Darius down. Darius endures, the fans rally up, and Darius fights to his feet. Darius and Daivari fires forearms and uppercuts, then Darius gets the edge! Darius ROCKS Daivari, Daivari blocks a kick, but the ENZIGIRI hits! Both men fall, then they crawl, hot tag to Karter! Karter gets Darius in a waistlock, but he ducks an elbow, only for the DROPKICK to hit! Darius crawls, Karter reaches out, hot tags to Vance and Dante!

Dante dodges Vance, then fires a flurry! Dante roars as he hits a new gear and the fans fire up! Dante whips, Vance reverses, then Vance runs up. Dante dodges, goes up and around, then GAMANGIRIS! Dante springboards to CANNONBALL! Cover, Nese & Daivari break it! Kaun CLUBS N ese, Daivari kicks Kaun, and the Athletes double whip Kaun to a corner. Kaun BOOTS Daivari, then URENAGES Nese! Kaun uses Nese as a step to SHOTGUN Daivari! Karter returns, but Kaun dodges to LARIAT Karter and himself out of the ring! Dante has Vance, but Vance shoves him away! Liona tags in!

Dante dodges Vance, but then Vance ducks the CROSSBODY! Liona catches Dante, and then uses him as a weapon! Liona SMACKS Vance with Dante’s boots, then Darius adds a FLATLINER! The fans fire up, and Liona grabs Dante by the neck! But not in a bad way, he military presses Dante! Again, not in a bad way, he just THROWS Dante out onto The Premier Athletes and Jacked Jameson! The fans are thunderous as California’s own Samoan Lion goes out and then runs up to CLOBBER Daivari! Then he CLOBBERS Karter! The fans fire up more as Liona just keeps moving! Liona makes a full ap before he runs up, but Sterling gets in the way!

The fans boo but Liona just keeps going! he POUNCES Sterling into Nese, PERIOD! Liona then goes back to the ring, but Jameson grabs at Liona’s foot! Liona kicks free, runs up, but Vance LARIATS! Cover, Kaun breaks it! Jameson flexes on Kaun literally, and then Vance back suplexes! But Kaun lands out, and he shoves Vance into Jameson! HEADBUTT from Liona, and then they OPEN THE GATES on Vance!! Cover, The Gates & Top Flight win!

Winners: Top Flight & The Gates of Agony, by pinfall

Liona & Kaun celebrate with the Martins, and it is only a matter of time before one of them goes for the gold. But while they’re friendly now, will it only be a matter of time before they have to go through each other for that title shot?

Dark Panther VS Aaron Solo!

While the proverbial black sheep of the Panther Family is going for gold, it seems he disrespected the ROH World Television Champion by not shaking his hand when offered. Komander is watching from the crowd again, will Dark Panther think better of it this time? Or will The Extra Talented Aaron Solo prove he should be the challenger instead?

The Code of Honor is not upheld as Solo leaves Panther hanging, then the bell rings. Solo and Panther DOUBLE LARIAT, then they fire forearms! Panther likes this, but Solo dodges a lariat. Panther BOOTS Solo out of the ring, then runs, but Solo ducks the slide! Solo goes up, but Panther makes that an Electric Chair SLAM off the apron! The fans fire up, Panther makes sure Komander is watching, but Solo SUPERKICKS! Panther falls, Solo slides into the ring and then FLIES! Direct hit on Panther and the fans fire up! Solo puts Panther, the fans cheer Solo on as the hometown hero, and he DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO!

Panther survives the stomps but Solo brings Panther up for a forearm. Panther hits back, the forearms keep going, but then Solo knees low. Solo CHOPS Panther in a corner, the fans “WOO~” and Solo whips corner to corner. Solo runs up, Panther knees him, but Solo fires another forearm, Solo whips but Panther reverses to scoop and BACKBREAKER! Then Panther wheelbarrows Solo to victory roll, and deep! TWO!! Solo escapes, the fans rally up, and Panther grows frustrated. The forearms fly again, but then Panther CHOPS! Solo fires a forearm, Panther fires a flurry, then winds up, but he kicks a leg out!

The fans boo but Panther drags Solo up up. Panther runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Panther wobbles, Solo CHOPS, and then Panther eggs Solo on! Solo CHOPS, Panther snarls, but Solo puts some stank on the- NO, Panther catches him to a FUJIWARA, then makes it a RINGS OF SATURN! Solo endures, Panther shifts to focus on just the FUJIWARA! ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Panther lets Solo go, and Panther brings Solo up. Panther ROCKS Solo, then runs, but Solo DUMPS him out! The fans rally as Solo builds speed, but Panther slides in and runs past him! RANA! Solo tumbles out, Panther DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp!

The fans fire up and Panther goes to the ring. Panther builds speed again, and Panther DIVES again! He almost doesn’t hit Solo but Panther then sends Solo into barriers! Panther stares Komander down while he stands on Solo. Panther then brings Solo around and puts him in the ring. Panther makes sure Komander is watching, but then Solo DREAMCAST KICKS! Cover, TWO!! Solo can’t believe it, but the fans rally up again. Solo huffs ‘n’ puffs and brings Panther up, but Panther wrenches free. Panther whips and SPLASHES, then whips to the other corner! SPLASH, snapmare, and then MISSILE DROPKICK!

Panther drags Solo up, makes sure he can see Komander as he goes up, up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS again! Cover, Panther wins!

Winner: Dark Panther, by pinfall

Panther almost mockingly gives the Code of Honor handshake this time, but then he shows disrespect by throwing his wrist tape at Komander! Komander jumps the railing, but the ref keeps this from getting physical! After all, they just have to wait seven days for the title match! Will Dark Panther soon be the ROH World Television Champion? Or will the Commander of the Skies still fly away with the gold?

Backstage interview with The Frat House.

Lexy Nair is with Preston Vance, Cole Karter, and Griff Garrison and she says it was a rough night for them. Vance stops her there, and says yes, it was a very rough night, very unfortunate. And before Lexy asks them anything else, he just wants to get a drink. Jameson comes in, says Lexy’s committing a big party foul. Time isn’t wasted when you’re getting wasted, but time is wasted when you’re asking questions instead of drinking. The boys toast their red Solo cups, and Vance says you heard Jameson. This interview is over. But remember: win or lose, The Frat House will booze! They chant it up, and then The Dark Order steps in.

Vance says wow, blast from the past. But uh, no, they’re not invited to the party. Evil Uno says there is not a party in the world that he’d go if those guys are around. Seriously, though, those guys? Uno knows Vance is a talented man, and there is a storied past here. But Vance is well above those idiots. Vance lost the match tonight, but all he cares about is partying? Grow up! Wow, grow up? They want him to grow up? He has seen the Dark Order do about the same for the past five years! And they want Vance to grow up. They haven’t done anything, and their Numbers are dwindling. What Vance did was take out the trash, so they can take out his.

Vance throws his cup at Alex Reynolds, but Uno has Reynolds stand down. Uno vows that Vance will get his. When and where will the party come to an end so that Perro Peligroso gets serious again?

Six Man Tag: Atlantis Sr, Mistico & Esfinge VS Euforia, Valiente & Rocky Romero!

A somehow familiar showdown, but OG Atlantis brings along the current MLW World Middleweight Champion, who was also the longest-reigning World Historic Middleweight Champion of all time! Will Mistico help Atlantis & The Sphinx bring down the Colossus, the Valiant Heart & Azucar? Or will Lucha de Honor 4 have a bittersweet ending?

The trios sort out and the fans rally for “MEXICO! MEXICO!” Valiente rushes Esfinge, Esfinge dodges to SUPERKICK! Valiente tumbles out, Rocky runs up and he ELBOWS Esfinge! Esfingle tumbles out, Atlantis storms in and DECKS Rocky! Euforia BOOTS Atlantis, Mistico FLYING RANAS! Mistico speeds things up, but Euforia pop-up KNEES him down! Euforia keeps moving, he ELBOWS Mistico, then LARIATS! Euforia whips Mistico to a corner, then Rocky runs in for a LARIAT! Then TWO-EVER! Then THREE-EVER! Then a feed to Euforia’s BOOT! The fans fire up but Esfinge jumps on for a SLEEPER!

Valiente CLUBS Esfinge down, Rocky UPPERCUTS him, and then Valiente HEADBUTTS! They whip Esfinge to a corner, Euforia runs up but Esfinge puts him on the apron! Valiente fireman’s carries Esfinge, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER, and then Euforia DIVING SPLASHES! Cover, Atlantis makes the save! Rocky CHOPS Esfinge, then he and the team mug Atlantis! They whip Atlantis to a corner, then Euforia LARIATS! Valiente ELBOWS! Rocky UPPERCUTS! They shove Atlantis down, then Rocky soaks up the heat while Valiente & Euforia stomp away. The fans boo but Mistico tags in.

The fans tell Rocky off but Rocky’s team tells them to shut up. Rocky kicks Mistico down, he and the team mug Mistico, but the fans tell them all off. The team mugs Mistico more, then Valiente tells everybody off. Valiente whips Mistico, they bypass, but Mistico handsprings to DOUBLE BACK ELBOW! Mistico dodges Euforia to RANA him out of the ring! Mistico then goes up, and he FLYING RANAS Euforia back down! The fans fire up, Esfinge fires off kicks on Rocky & Valiente! SUPERKICK for Valiente, then a MONKEY FLIP for Rocky! Esfinge keeps moving, he MONKEY FLIPS Valiente! The fans fire up with Esfinge!

Rocky comes back, Esfinge dodges to SCREW KICK! Rocky bails out, Esfinge builds speed, but then rolls to POSE! The fans cheer, and Esfinge builds that energy! The fans fire up as he tags in Atlantis! Atlantis and Euforia collide, but Euforia stomps away! Euforia grins, taunts Atlantis’ team, then stalks Atlantis. Euforia whips Atlantis but Atlantis dodges to CROSSBODY! Valiente grabs Atlantis, but he ducks and Euforia’s CHOP hits Valiente! Rocky grabs Atlantis, Atlantis ducks again and the CHOP hits Rocky! Atlantis swings, Euforia catches him, Rocky & Valiente run up! But Atlantis ducks again, the DOUBLE CHOPS hit Euforia!

Atlantis DOUBLE HIP TOSSES Rocky & Valiente, then he scoops to BACKBREAKER Euforia! Scoop and BACKBREAKER for Rocky! Another BACKBREAKER for Atlantis! The fans fire up, Atlantis tags in Mistico, and Valiente storms in. Valiente tells the fans to shut up about Mistico! The fans tell Valiente off, but then Mistico gets the fans to cheer him on. Valiente gets mad, he storms up to the corner, but the fans boo! The dueling continues, cheers for Mistico, boos for Valiente, repeat! Then things speed up! Valiente dodges but Mistico handsprings and he ELBOWS Valiente down! Mistico then puts Valiente on ropes, winds up, and he GAMANGIRIS!

Valiente sputters, Mistico hears the fans chant “OTRA! OTRA!” so he obliges! Mistico whips, Valiente reverses, Rocky gets a cheap shot in! Mistico BOOTS Rocky, Valiente dodges him, and Rocky is back! Mistico dodges them both, and RANAS Rocky outta the ring! Then he blocks a shot to CHOP Valiente! But Valiente keeps him from the corner! Mistico CHOPS again, then goes up and up to FLYING ARM-DRAG! The fans fire up but here comes Euforia! Mistico runs, springboards, and he RANAS Euforia right out! Mistico goes up again, and he SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODIES! Down goes Euforia and Mistico hurries back in!

The fans fire up, but Rocky & Valiente attack from behind! They knock Esfinge down, stomp away on both men, and Atlantis protests. Valiente & Rocky whip Mistico in but Esfinge pops him up. Esfinge BOOTS Rocky & Valiente away, Mistico DOUBLE CROSSBODIES! Mistico keeps moving, Esfinge gives him a boost to DOUBLE DROPKICK! Rocky & Valiente tumble out, Esfinge builds speed to DIVE! Down goes Rocky! Atlantis runs, but then goes to the apron, to CROSSBODY Valiente! Mistico and Euforia are in the ring again, and the fans rally up. Things speed up, another CROSSBODY from Mistico! And then tilt-o-whirl, LA MYSTICA!! FUJIWARA!! Euforia taps, Mistico’s team wins!

Winners: Atlantis, Mistico & Esfinge, by submission

It was rather hectic, maybe even fast ‘n’ furious, but there’s no stopping the greatest luchadores both past and present! Will there be no stopping these lucha legends no matter where they go?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode of ROH here, and a part of me wishes I had time to cover all of this. As I skimmed, I could tell Blake Christian VS Titus Alexander was far more than a squash match, and Titus looked great even in defeat. Maybe Titus could find himself signed to AEW through ROH. But Blake of course won, as I figured, so that was why I skipped it in the first place. Same for Shibata VS Johnson, as Shibata is building momentum for both this Dynasty International Championship Eliminator Tournament and perhaps towards a trios championship alongside The Opps.

I probably could’ve skipped SAP winning in their return, but it was also their return, and it was the opening match so that wouldn’t feel right. They of course replayed Jericho’s promo from Dynamite, but it was still good. A little surprising we didn’t get anything more from Athena with Diamante and Billie Starkz, but maybe that happens next week after Billie loses to Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship. Because really, there should’ve been a promo of Athena reacting to Billie going for that title at all. I believe this speaks to a drawback of ROH being recorded the night of Collision but played after a new Dynamite, and there being no real long-term planning overall.

Good promo from Leila to help get her back to “The Baddie” she was alongside Jade Cargill. She had a good match with Lady Frost, and a good win, but uh… If she went to the NJPW Academy/LA Dojo and she still had some clunkiness in the ring, she probably needs a little longer in the dojo. Great 8 Man Tag with a great win for the Faces, but I feel like Gates of Agony still have to wait on the tag titles going to a Heel team. Gates just went Face, fans are taking a liking to them, they can’t go back to Heel just to face Sons of Texas. I suppose they could actually give us Faces VS Faces in a friendly tag match, but that’s not usually how this stuff goes.

On the other side, good promo from Vance with his Frat boys, but also the Dark Order. Vance does have a point that (through no real fault of their own) The Dark Order has yet again fallen down the ranks. The Dark Order could probably take on The Frat House in a Six Man Tag, but that just feels like The Dark Order will be fed to The Frat House to make that faction stronger. Then that’ll really be when The Dark Order is just done. Dark Panther of course beats Solo tonight, but his playing to Komander is good stuff. Panther VS Komander for the ROH World TV Championship will be great, but I would think Komander retains.

And very good Six Man Tag main event, but it was really clunky when Atlantis needed to be involved. That “save” he made was really thanks to Rocky, and there were some other uncertain/missed cues. The Faces winning made sense, they had Mistico on the team here. I’m thinking the crossover ends with next week with how Dark Panther VS Komander is for a title and could be a title match main event for a great finale.

My Score: 8.6/10
