Dasha interviews The Inner Circle!

Le Champion says that before he joins the amazing commentary that only he can do, he gives credit to Jake Hager, “the toughest man on the planet.” He is 3-0, undefeated in MMA, just look at the battle scars. MJF and Wardlow come in and MJF says he hates the cut Jericho off, even though he is, to talk about the tension last week. He doesn’t want that, but is glad to know Jericho is doing commentary. Jericho will have a front row seat to see exactly why MJF belongs in the Inner Circle. Well it’s interesting that “Max” says that, as Jericho has been thinking about things. MJF does check a lot of boxes, but there’s one thing missing from the total package.

Look at Hager: two black eyes, 15 stitches, still won his fight. Look at Santana: tough as nails. Killer instinct, crazy in the head, willing to do anything to win. Jericho doesn’t see that in MJF. He doesn’t. In fact, MJF is a bit… soft. Soft? Yes, soft. “Just watch.” MJF and Wardlow head off while Jericho heads out to commentary! Will MJF prove he’s anything but soft this close to the Full Gear proving grounds match?

MJF & Wardlow VS Sammy Guevara & Ortiz w/ The Inner Circle!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman and his muscle are ready to prove worthy of joining Le Champion’s faction, but will the Sammy Guevara and the Puerto Rican pitbull stop him at the door?

The teams sort out and Sammy starts against MJF. Fans fire up but MJF tags out to Wardlow, of course. Ortiz tags in and he stands against Wardlow as fans chant “SOFT! SOFT!” Ortiz headlocks but Wardlow puts him in a corner. Ortiz goes up and over and comes back to dropkick a leg out! Wardlow stays up but Ortiz is on him with forearms. Ortiz kicks but Wardlow blocks to CHOKE SLAM! Wardlow seethes, but MJF wants in so Wardlow tags him in. Fans want Wardlow but Ortiz dodges the knee drop! And claws the back! Ortiz throws haymakers, then dodges but Wardlow gets a cheap shot in! Ortiz chops Wardlow, Wardlow ROCKS Ortiz!

MJF stomps a mudhole into Ortiz, digs his boots in but the ref counts. MJF lets off and shouts at fans before he tags Wardlow back in. Wardlow stomps Ortiz but Ortiz hits back with body shots. Wardlow shoves, Ortiz elbows MJF but Wardlow RAMS him into the corner! Wardlow stomps a mudhole in, MJF tags in and fans boo. MJF drags Ortiz up, throws him down hard, then taunts Ortiz to crawl to Sammy. Ortiz hits MJF, MJF DECKS Ortiz, then he taunts Sammy. Ortiz BITES MJF’s leg so MJF BITES Ortiz’s head! The ref has to keep Sammy back and MJF chokes Ortiz in the distraction! MJF blows a kiss to Sammy then says Jericho should watch this. But Ortiz boots MJF, elbows Wardlow, but MJF catches Ortiz to wring him out into the buckles! Cover, TWO!

MJF keeps on Ortiz with knee drops to the arm. MJF stands on the arm, wrenches it to a wristlock, and tags Wardlow. Wardlow stomps Ortiz’s arm, drags him up to wrench and yank the arm, then ram the shoulder in over and over! Wardlow puts Ortiz in the corner, tags MJF and MJF snapmares Ortiz to a high keylock. Fans chant “SOFT! SOFT!” again but Ortiz grinds on the hold harder. Ortiz fights up as fans rally and Ortiz throws haymakers. MJF knees low, whips Ortiz but Ortiz reverses. MJF and Wardlow stop from colliding, and MJF hurries after Ortiz. Ortiz enziguris back! Wardlow tags in, Ortiz stomps his bad foot and tags Sammy! Sammy enziguris and knees Wardlow but Wardlow stays up! Wardlow blocks one kick but not the HEEL KICK!

MJF tags in, Sammy dodges and KNEES him in the corner! Sammy RAMS into Wardlow, enziguris him, then springboards to crossbody them both! Fans fire up with Sammy as he DIVES into MJF! Then he FLIES onto Wardlow! Sammy has the fans all fired up as MJF runs into his back suplex KICK! Cover, TWO!! MJF survives but Sammy drags him up. Ortiz tags in, Sammy and Ortiz have MJF in a corner, hoist him up top and climb, but Wardlow shoves Sammy down! Ortiz kicks Wardlow then springboard missile dropkicks! But Ortiz’s leg bothers him, and MJF double stomps the arm! Ortiz fights MJF off but MJF goes after the arm. MJF whips Ortiz at Wardlow but Ortiz clotheslines himself and Wardlow out!

Sammy returns and stares down with MJF. Fans are thunderous but MJF handsprings?! But so does Sammy! Sammy kicks, MJF blocks and flips but Sammy lands on his feet. MJF pokes Sammy’s eye! MJF runs, into a KNEE! Sammy torture racks MJF for GO TO HOSPITAL!! Cover, but Wardlow breaks it! Ortiz gets in and goes after Wardlow! Sammy and Ortiz double whip but Wardlow dodges one to get a dropkick and bulldog! Sammy hits a STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Ortiz hits a back senton! The Inner Circle regroups and Ortiz tags back in. They drag MJF up, hoist him back up and climb back up. Wardlow returns again, has Sammy and Ortiz, TOWER OF DOOM!! Double Powerbomb Superplex!! Wardlow drags MJF over, tags in, and he drags Ortiz up for the F10!!Ortiz spasms and flounders, Wardlow covers, SAMMY FROG SPLASHES IT APART!

MJF tags back in, Sammy throws him out! Sammy springboards for a 450 AX HANDLE! Sammy puts MJF back in and Jericho is thunderous! Serpentico wants a high five but Sammy leaves him hanging. Wait that’s not Serpentico, that’s MATT HARDY! And he CHUCKS a chair at Sammy!! Sammy is down, Ortiz has MJF but MJF gets the arm! SALT OF THE EARTH FUJIWARA! Ortiz taps, MJF and Wardlow win!!

Winners: MJF & Wardlow, by submission

Sammy’s other enemy costs him against this one! Jericho is satisfied with this, though, because MJF still has to earn it at Full Gear! MJF takes the fight to Jericho as he TACKLES him into the back drop!! Hager and Santana return to back MJF off! But Jericho is smiling?! Will MJF win at Full Gear only to lose the Inner Circle’s favor?

Tony Schiavone interviews Kenny Omega.

They sit down at “home,” but it isn’t Kenny’s dog or his home. Omega has relocated to Jacksonville temporarily to focus on the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, especially now that he’s in the finals. Right, Omega and Hangman Page will be facing off. Hangman had some wars while Omega got replacement matches. How does Omega think Sonny Kiss and Penta El Zero M feel? Omega counters by asking how we think he feels, having game plans that had to change. Omega knows AEW boasts all the time about being the “sports-based product,” wins and losses matter and all that. They brag about it.

Tony Khan knows the NFL and the Premier League, and Omega would’ve loved to walk into his office and asked, “Hey, TK, how would we handle this in one of those areas?” Schiavone figures it would’ve been with byes into the next round. And could you dispute that? No, he couldn’t. But making it to the finals on Omega’s own merits, to meet his former tag team partner no less, that is the proper way to do it. It seemed rather obvious. Was it, though? Omega bet on Wardlow. But lo and behold, Adam Page, Omega’s former partner.

If you were a betting man, knowing that Omega wins every tournament he’s been in to date, even the most prestigious ones, who would you bet on? Hard to bet against Omega. And with that in mind, Omega leaves it up to us. Who do you got? Omega or Page? It seems to be destiny that Omega wins the tournament, and then the world title. Will Hangman deny destiny with some #CowboyStuff?

Miro w/ The Superbad Couple VS Trent w/ Best Friends!

The Best Man and Kip Sabian have beef with the Best Friends, and put the trick in “trick or treat” last week, making Trent and Chuck Taylor think all was forgiven. But nothing is forgiven, there will only be pain! Will Miro’s first singles match in AEW be but a sample of what is coming?

AEW returns as Miro makes is entrance. Miro and Trent start shoving but the ref keeps the peace. The introductions are made, but Miro wants to introduce Trent. This match will be until TRENT falls because he’s stupid and his mom never taught him manners! Trent dropkicks Miro for that so the bell rings! Trent fires off, Miro shoves him away but Trent dodges to fire off more forearms! Trent has Miro in a corner, but Miro blocks the tornado to power him off! Trent dodges again, boots back then hops up, but Miro yanks him down for a SAIDO! Miro glares with wild eyes and then he drops elbows! Cover, TWO, but Miro drops elbows and KICKS Trent in the back! Miro throws haymakers, throws European Uppercuts, and stomps Trent down!

Kip talks smack but the fans rally up. Miro digs boots in, the ref counts and Miro lets off at 4. Miro drags Trent up, reels him in and LARIATS! Miro snarls as he looms over Trent and kicks at him. Trent gets up, Miro suplexes him hard and fast, then stalks behind him. Trent gets up, CHOPS and kicks, but Miro stays up. Trent fires off more forearms, then runs but into Miro’s elbow! Miro chokes Trent on the ropes while Jericho talks smack on Orange Cassidy. The ref lets off, and Kip gets a cheap shot! So Chuck goes after Kip, and CHUCKS him into the stage wall! They brawl around the way and up the steps! Penelope wants to follow but Cassidy stays in her way.

Miro throws hands on Trent in the corner and rocks Trent! Miro whips Trent corner to corner and hits a big corner splash! Trent flops against ropes, then Miro whips him back the other way! Trent tumbles up, back but dodges the corner splash! Trent CHOPS Miro, and CHOPS him again! Miro knees low then whips but Trent kicks back! Trent runs and hits a clothesline in the corner, then hits the tornado, but still no DDT! Miro SUPLEXES Trent, then POSTS him! Trent falls out of the ring hard and fans boo as Miro glares, and AEW goes picture in picture.

Miro encourages fans to make noise while Trent is down and out. Cassidy checks on Trent but Trent slowly rises. Miro goes out to throw Trent into barriers! And then drags him up again, talks trash to his face, and then POSTS him again! Trent is down, clutching his shoulder, but Miro looms over him. Miro drags Trent up, puts him in, and takes his time following. Miro sits Trent up for elbow after elbow then a chinlock! Trent endures the grind, Cassidy rallies the fans as hard as he can, which is to say a 6 out of 10. Penelope stops him from that, and SLAPS him so hard his sunglasses go flying! So he takes HER sunglasses for his own! And puts his hands in his pockets, only for THE DARK ORDER to attack!? They still seem to have beef over the TNT Championship scene!

The Numbers all pick Cassidy up and feed him to John Silver’s BOOT! The ref sees them all and EJECTS them all! Rightfully so, they have no reason to be here otherwise! Miro even runs them off with rage alone! Miro goes back to Trent in the ring but Trent throws elbows! Miro stomps Trent down and AEW returns to single picture. Miro drags Trent up, runs and RUNNING KICKS him down! Fans boo but Miro soaks up the heat. Miro looms over Trent and whips him to ropes to then pick him up for a bearhug! Trent endures, fans rally as he fights back with bell claps! Miro ROCKS Trent with a right but Trent jawbreakers back! Trent throws forearms with the good arm, but Miro shoves him, only for Trent to clothesline!

Miro stays up and scowls but Trent tries another lariat. Still nothing so Trent runs, dodges Miro and LARIATS him down! Cover, ONE?! Trent keeps his cool and drags Miro up. Trent throws forearms and CHOPS, but Miro ROCKS him with a haymaker! Miro kicks at Trent but Trent gets up! They are forehead to forehead, Trent SLAPS, ducks the kick then HALF ‘N’ HALF SUPLEXES! Trent fires up and he aims from a corner. Trent runs but Miro catches the flying knee! For a SWINGING SLAM! Cover, TWO! Fans rally up, Miro fires up, and he stomps around. Trent rises, Miro kicks but misses, Trent sunset flips! TWO!! Miro runs but is dumped out! Trent builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit at the barriers! Trent gets Miro in and then runs corner to corner for a clothesline! FINALLY the tornado DDT!!

Trent aims from a corner again as Miro rises. Trent runs to PSYCHO KNEE!! Cover, TWO!?!? Miro survives but Trent doesn’t waste time being frustrated. Trent goes to a corner, springboards but his leg gives out! Miro hits the BEST KICK! And then… GAME OVER!! Trent endures but he taps, Miro wins!

Winner: Miro, by submission

And he puts Trent BACK into Game Over!! Trent is fading, Chuck returns and attacks Miro! But Kip returns to go after Chuck! Kip runs to dropkick Chuck and dump him out! Superbad and The Best Man regroup, to go after Best Friends together! They stomp Best Friends, grab a mic, and Miro says, “I told you. You have no manners, and it’s all because of your mother.” But Cassidy is up top and SLOTH FALLS onto them! Fans are fired up for Freshly Squeezed while Kip keeps Miro back! It may have been Game Over for Trent, but there are lives to give! Who will win this game between The Best and the Best Friends?

Jim Ross interviews Hangman Page.

Hangman has another drink, of course. He’s doing alright. Saturday, Full Gear, main event level match. How is he feeling about taking on Omega? So good. Hangman has had so much time to prepare. Right away, Hangman saw himself on one side of the bracket, and Omega on the other side. It was just natural that it’d end up between them. Hangman has had lots of time to prepare, and is ready to whoop ass. JR says Omega and Hangman may have been the best AEW World Tag Team Champions yet. What is Hangman’s strategy for Omega? Hangman knows all Omega’s moves, and knows how to reverse all those moves, so there.

Is Hangman lying to JR? This seems like Hangman is nervous and he’s having what looks like bourbon, and perhaps not his first bourbon today. Is Hangman nervous? Well, yeah. Hangman admits he’s a little nervous. Everyone who goes through the tunnel is nervous. Most are too proud to admit it maybe, but Hangman will. Day one, Hangman vowed he would be the inaugural AEW World Champion, and no one believed it but him. But they were right. This will be the closest Hangman has gotten since then. If Hangman doesn’t win, he doesn’t know what he has other than this glass of whiskey. Though, it is good whiskey. As Mama would say, everything in moderation. But JR wishes Hangman luck either way.

AEW profiles FTR VS The Young Bucks.

JR says “Tag team aficionados are drooling.” This could be the tag match of the year. Taz says the rivalry started way before AEW, and Excalibur says that the Bucks were considered the best tag team in the world, and not just by fans but also journalists. Until they weren’t, after FTR blew up. Matt Hardy says they’re both extremely talented teams, with two different styles. One is rough and tumble, the other is razzle dazzle. SCU says both teams are the absolute best they’ve ever faced. JR says the accolade of THE best goes where the titles are, that’s how it is always measured. Right now, FTR have the titles. But Arn Anderson says the seasoning, the viciousness and the fact Tully is there favors FTR.

Billy Gunn says the Bucks’ new attitude is what they needed. Tully of course says FTR retains. But the Bucks. have put it on themselves: All or nothing. If they don’t win now, they’ll never challenge for the tag titles again. FTR says that’s shooting yourself in the foot, but Hardy says that’s the proper incentive. SCU predicts only that they’re watching. The Bucks want to bet it all on themselves once again, but will they go broke doing that?

Taz calls out Will Hobbs.

“That clock is still ticking, buddy. And I’m really losing my patience.” But that’s not even why he and Team Taz are here right now. Taz wants to tell us what he did today. For not one, not two, but for THREE HOURS, Taz sat outside the office of Tony Khan, trying to get even two minutes of his time. And then an assistant comes up and says “TK” is busy dealing with people that are going to compete this Saturday at Full Gear. Oh, okay, Taz will just leave then. “Hey, Tony. You forced me to come out here with a live mic now.” If Tony won’t talk in private, Taz will talk in public. AEW has a ranking system that Taz believes in. Brian Cage, The Machine, is 10-1, practically undefeated because that match with Moxley shouldn’t count. But Cage is also ranked NUBMER ONE! Who betta than Cage? Absolutely nobody!

And how about Ricky Starks? All he’s done is win 10 out of 11. And he’s not top five?! What kind of horse sh*t is that?! But here are the facts, Jack! Starks has hit every opportunity out of the park, home runs! He has opened Dynamite, closed Dynamite, and proven why he IS Absolute. So that’s why he has a hard time figuring out why he ain’t ranked. But hear them out. 1+1=2, and that makes sense. But what doesn’t make sense is that they STILL don’t have a match at Full Gear! So Starks is asking, begging, someone! Make it make sense! Taz wishes he could but he can’t. But tell you what. Cody defending the title against Darby Allin, that will be a great match. Cody and Darby have a lot in common actually. They’re both entitled, spoiled and given everything they want.

So Mr. EVP, Cody, listen up! You run around with your good looks, chiseled body, custom suits all knotted up nice, with the fancy title. But anyone who knows Cody knows he lives the motto, “Do the work.” Team Taz has done the work, but they are getting worked! Live on PPV, there WILL be an FTW presence, Taz guarantees it. Jericho agrees! Will “TK” give them something? Anything?

Private Party w/ Matt Hardy VS The Young Bucks!

Once again, these two teams meet, and while Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy won that shocker in the inaugural tag title tournament, Matt and Nick Jackson made up for that and more in the Fatal 4 Way contender’s match. But whether out of fear, jealousy or just plain spite, FTR damaged Matt’s leg and endangered the Full Gear match. Matt insists he can still go, but will what is only hurt end up broken before the end of the night?

Speaking of broken, Sammy breaks in and attacks Hardy! Payback for earlier with a TWIST OF FATE to the ramp! And Sammy rains down angry fists from all sides! Private Party runs Sammy off while AEW goes picture in picture! Hardy can’t stay ringside after that, but will he be still okay to make Sammy face ELITE DELETION at Full Gear?

AEW returns and the Bucks make their entrance. The introductions are made, the teams sort out and Nick starts with Quen. They circle, tie up, and Nick headlocks. Quen powers out, Nick runs him over and covers, ONE! Quen headlocks, Nick powers out but Quen uses a leg to turn him over. Nick dodges the standing moonsault, CHOPS and then “LUCHA LIBRE~” arm drags! And then another arm-drag! Nick has the armlock but Quen powers up. Nick wrenches, tags Matt in, and Matt takes the hand-off to wrench, step over and arm-drag. Kassidy tags in, Matt drop toeholds and Nick tags in to slingshot leg drop! Nick drags Kassidy up, tags Matt back in, and they double wrench and wrench and CHOP! They double whip, double elbow, but Quen gets in.

The Bucks intercept to double suplex him onto Kassidy! And then double dropkicks drop Private Party! The Bucks watch as Private Party regroups, to DOUBLE PLANCHA! But Matt’s leg is bothering him again! Matt walks it off and Nick puts Kassidy in. Matt insists he stay in but Kassidy throws body shots! Kassidy throws forearms, whips but Matt reverses. Kassidy goes up, Quen tags in and Kassidy headscissors Matt into the enziguri! Springboard crossbody! TWO! Quen dropkicks Matt but Nick tags in! Nick dodges Quen, Quen whips and tags Kassidy. Private Party double whip, Atomic drop and enziguri! Leg sweep and ‘SAY CHEESE, BABY!” DOUBLE STOMPS! Matt gets in but Private Party double hip toss him onto Nick! And then Private Party double dropkick! Now the Bucks bail out and Quen finally throws off the vest.

Private Party build speed and DOUBLE DIVE! Direct hit on both ends, Quen puts Nick in and Kassidy joins in. They double back suplex Nick then Quen kips up! Quen and Kassidy are in opposite corners but Matt shoves Kassidy to the ramp! Quen leaps, Nick dodges him! Nick runs, Quen dodges but Matt tags in as Nick goes up and over! Nick back kicks hard, aims from the corner, shining wizard! And knee, and forearm, and BULLDOG DROPKICK COMBO! Matt drags Quen up as Nick coordinates with him. “This is Awesome!” as Nick tags back in and Matt drapes Quen on ropes. 450 SPLASH! Cover, Kassidy breaks it! Nick throws Kassidy out, tags Matt back in, and then Nick goes to the apron to PENALTY KICK Kassidy down!

Matt drags Quen up, Nick aims and Matt gut wrenches. Quen fights out and Nick springboards in, but into the DDT COMPLETE SHOT COMBO! Fans fire up as everyone is down! Quen stirs as AEW goes picture in picture.

Quen gets to his corner but Kassidy is down. Matt reels Quen in, Quen slips out of the back suplex but so does Matt! But Matt’s bad leg bothers him again! Quen sighs but Matt throat chops him! There’s the bad attitude, too! Matt hobbles, drags Quen up and brings him around to suplex up and over! Fist drop! Cover, TWO! Matt keeps his cool but Quen hits back. Matt trips Quen, Nick tags in, catapult forearm! Quen is stuck on Matt’s knees, Nick springboard DOUBLE STOMPS him! Nick checks on Matt but Matt says to keep on Quen. Nick drags Quen up, bumps him off buckles, then tags Matt in. They mug Quen and Matt fires off ax handles to club Quen to the ground, for ground ‘n’ pound!

Matt lets off to walk off the pain in his leg, but that’s a lot of pain. Matt brings Quen up to grind him down with a facelock. Quen fights up, fights his way to the corner and fans are fired up! But Matt turns it around for a NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging suplex, TWO! Matt tags Nick, the Bucks drag Quen away and AEW returns to single picture. They double whip, double hip toss but Quen lands on his feet to throw Bucks into each other! DOUBLE RANA! Tag to Kassidy! Kassidy dodges Nick to springboard hotshot Matt! And Kassidy rallies on Nick! Nick reverse the whip but Kassidy BOOTS him! Kassidy goes out to mule kick Matt, enziguri Nick, then SPRINGBOARD THROWBACK STUNNER! The Bucks end up on the outside together, Kassidy builds speed to TORNILLO!

Kassidy is fired up, he puts Nick in and covers, TWO! Kassidy keeps his cool and fans rally up. Kassidy elbows Nick, tags Quen, and they double whip. Drop toehold into the knees, and then the step-up STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO!! Nick survives and Quen is beside himself. Fans are dueling, rallying, Kassidy tags in. Nick throws hands, but Matt is in no shape to tag with that bad ankle! Nick runs in but Kassidy blocks the Shining Wizard to fire off on Nick! Nick boots Kassidy, Quen has him roll off his back, GIN ‘N’ JUICE!! Cover, but Matt breaks it!! Fans are thunderous as Kassidy throws Matt out! Kassidy drags Nick over and tags Quen in. Quen goes up, SHOOTING STAR- No! Nick moves and Matt SPEARS him! Nick SUPERKICKS Kassidy, SHINING WIZARDS Quen, covers, TWO!

The Bucks can’t believe it, but they coordinate. Matt gut wrenches, Nick springboards but Kassidy anchors him! Quen victory rolls, TWO! Matt has Quen in a cover, TWO! Quen has Matt again, TWO!! Matt hurries up to kick but Quen blocks! Quen considers what to do with the already bad leg, but Nick SUPERKICKS him first! Quen wobbles, Matt tags back in, and the Bucks hit the B T E TRIGGER!! Cover, the Bucks win!!

Winners: The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Matt’s bad leg is still attached, so that’s good enough for him! But will it be good enough for him and his brother to finally become AEW World Tag Team Champions? But FTR ambush them!! FTR stomps away and Tully has a chair! GOODNIGHT EXPRESS!! Tully wants the chair to be used, and Cash Wheeler puts it around Matt’s bad leg! Dax Harwood keeps Nick down but also makes him watch! Cash stomps Matt so he stops resisting, then Tully holds Matt down. Cash goes up top, throws the jacket off and taunts Matt with the belt! But here comes HANGMAN! Hangman runs FTR off! And Omega, too! The Elite has been on loose terms but they aren’t going to allow the Bucks to be sidelined like this!

Omega and Hangman fist bump to show there is respect still. But then Hangman gets upset that Omega turned away. Will the Bucks be able to take those titles being less than 100%? Will Hangman and Omega still have respect for each other after finally going 1v1?

Tony Schiavone presides over the AEW World Championship face-to-face.

First out is the Mad King, Eddie Kingston! He tells Schiavone to do his job and hold that mic up. Then of course, the champion, Jon Moxley! Tony Khan has warned both men that ANY physicality here tonight will void the match on Saturday. Kingston waits and Moxley comes in from the parking lot! Kingston eggs him on already, throwing his hat and taking the mic from Schiavone. “You think this is a game, Jon?!” Kingston vows to destroy him on November 7th and take that title, hand it to his mom, and tell Mama Kingston the reason she doesn’t have a grandchild is cuz of the belt! The reason she doesn’t even have a daughter-in-law is cuz of the belt! This is what matters in the sport! No other title means this much! And Moxley is holding it, so Kingston has to take him out.

Kingston had to become a sellout, he had to become what he hates, it’s too late. Moxley isn’t saving Kingston, and he isn’t saving that title, either. Moxley takes the mic now, and tells Kingston, “They say be careful who you call your friends. Me, I’d rather have four quarters than 100 pennies.” The longer you are in this business, the more you learn about loyalty. And how it’s a b*tch. Moxley has been burned time and again, but he never thought it’d be by Kingston. Moxley was so happy for Kingston when he signed. Kingston tries to interrupt with “Who cares?!” but Moxley tells him to shut up and listen. Moxley was happy for Kingston and his mom, Ruthie, whose dream it was- Don’t you say her name! Moxley sat at her table, said grace with her, and who he promised he would always have her son’s back! No matter what trouble Kingston caused for himself, Moxley would be there.

Moxley admits, he broke that promise along the way. But Moxley believes that the loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room, and Kingston’s been really loud lately. That’s not the Kingston he knows, so what’s going on? Moxley has an idea. After 18 years, Kingston finally gets his shot, the shot he never thought he’d get. Deep down in Kingston’s heart, he knows he’ll be in the ring with the AEW World Champion, the best wrestler in the world today. And he will lose. So it is scary, yes, after 18 years, it turns out Kingston didn’t deserve it after all. The worst part? The part that makes Moxley sick, is that Kingston made a promise to his mom that he can’t keep. Moxley tells Kingston he has no problem doing what he has to, so Kingston tells Moxley “get ready to kill me.” Kingston says this is real! Kingston doesn’t care about the show, he dares Moxley to take him out! If not, that title is his!

Moxley promises that at Full Gear, “You will find, when you are alone with nothing but your ego, and that is a lonely, lonely place,” Kingston will see he is NOT the man he thought he was, and then he will say the words! Will there be any quit in either man?

PAC has a message for AEW!

Kingston’s words, “Where’s your little British friend?” bother him. Pac watching Dynamite while being stranded bothers him. “You see, the funny thing about isolation, you’ve got nobody to play with!” SEVEN MONTHS! “The far side of the Atlantic, again the casualty of this rotten world.” But don’t worry about little ol’ Pac. He’s been here before: lost, abandon, and with “them” wanting him to crumble. But with every day that passes, he gets better and stronger and faster and “more ****ed up!” Pac sees everything now. Will the crazy Bastard return with a viciousness the world has never seen?

Backstage interview the Natural Nightmares.

Alex Marvez says Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall requested a match and they got it! They will take on The Butcher & the Blade 2v2 next week! Dustin tells Butcher and Blade that next week- Allie interrupts?! She “thanks” QT for the gifts, and lets him know the cards are maxed out. And then Butcher attacks with a kendo stick! SMACK for Dustin, SMACK for QT, and then Blade tops it off with a trash can lid THWACK! Allie laughs as QT and Dustin are beat down with the TRASH CAN, and then buried under the staging back drop! Will the Natural Nightmares even be in any shape to settle the score?

Nyla Rose w/ Vickie Guerrero VS Red Velvet w/ Brandi Rhodes!

The Native Beast finally has her rematch for the AEW Women’s Championship and Hikaru Shida, but she needs one last tune-up before Full Gear. Will she devour Red Velvet as an appetizer before a Full Metal Warrior feast?

The bell rings and immediately Velvet dropkicks Nyla! Velvet fires off forearms but Nyla shoves. Velvet dodges, calf kicks and has Nyla in a corner for stomps! The ref counts, Velvet lets off to dig her boot in and do the splits! Nyla glares and gets right up to CLOBBER Velvet! Nyla steps on Velvet then drags her up! DEAD LIFT choke grip to put Velvet in the corner for big body shots! Nyla runs corner to corner for a back body check then a LARIAT! Shida is watching from the crowd as Nyla fireman’s carries Velvet. Velvet fights out, KICKS a leg then mule kicks low! Nyla still shoves her away but Velvet boots back! Velvet goes up, leaps, but is caught! Nyla blocks the huricanrana to BEAST BOMB!! Nyla covers but lets off!

Nyla drags Velvet up to stare Shida down. Nyla runs, and uses a RUNNING KNEE on Velvet! She’s copying Shida’s Tamashi shining wizard! Now Nyla covers, and wins!

Winner: Nyla Rose, by pinfall

The Beast is barreling towards Full Gear, but copying the champion’s moves only goes so far. And Vickie says “This is such a pathetic visual.” Velvet comes out with Brandi, the CBO, and still loses? Vickie will give Brandi a new title: The CBSO! Get it? Chief BULLSH*T Officer! Brandi steps to Vickie but Nyla steps in. Vickie has real business to get to. She feels so appreciated now that Tony Khan is listening to her. Because Shida, whether you want to admit it or not, Tony basically made her accept the challenge from Nyla. And it’s great Shida is here tonight. Here’s some insight on what happens Saturday: Nyla will break Shida’s bones, make her cry, and then Shida will surrender. So enjoy your last few days as champion. Gomenasai~!

Vickie’s taunting riles Shida up and she GRABS Vickie by the throat! But Nyla comes over to hit Shida! They brawl!! Referees hurry to break this up, and Vickie says it’s alright. Nyla can wait a few more days to get at the title. But will she get the title? Or just the same she got at Double or Nothing?

AEW profiles the Eliminator Tournament finals.

Omega VS Page. Excalibur isn’t sure if this is the showdown either man was hoping for, but… JR says they’re two individuals that ended up as a team and gelled. Taz says Omega is still trying to find who he is in AEW, after his time with Hangman as a team. When they finally lost, that gave Omega this excuse to say he doesn’t need anyone else. Schiavone says Omega wins because he has so much confidence. JR says if Hangman can focus, eh can win. But Don Callis says as the foremost expert on all things Omega, Omega wins again at Full Gear. Schiavone wonders how much each man has taken away from the other in just knowing the other’s moves.

There’s a bit of a musical montage here now reviewing the time Cleaner and Cowboy were a team. The meteoric rise and sudden fall. It’s all set to Don’t Know What You Got (‘Til It’s Gone) by glam metal band, Cinderella. Hangman perhaps the lower low, and Omega is confident he is going to rise to the highest highs. But the real question is, will they still be friends after it’s all said and done?

BREAKING NEWS for the Full Gear card!

After the confrontation earlier tonight, Orange Cassidy VS John Silver is now part of the main show! And the Buy-In now has some gold as Serena Deeb defends her NWA Women’s World Championship against ALLYSIN KAY! Will the hottest free agent in women’s wrestling right now take that title on her first try?

AEW also has matches set for next week’s Dynamite!

Rey Fenix is now 100% again and wants a rematch with his brother! Will the Lucha Brothers stay in one piece this time, both physically and as a team?

AEW hears from Darby Allin.

Darby spray painted a car with “Face of TNT” on it, as well as skulls. And he uses a skateboard to SMASH the window to get inside! “Cody” has a lighter as he waits for Darby to drive at him! “Cody” goes up and over the car with a tumble! Will Darby run through the real American Nightmare as easily as he did that stunt double?

Six Man Tag: Cody Rhodes & The Gunn Club VS The Dark Order!

Speaking of the TNT Champion, he escaped a chaotic Lumberjack situation with some help from Billy Gunn and his son, Austin. Will they triumph together over BOOM BOOM Colt Cabana, John Silver and Preston Vance in their first outing together?

AEW returns once more as the Gunn Club make their entrance with a new titantron video! They’re even wearing Nightmare Family merch? They’ve joined the family officially?! That’s pretty wild! And of course, Cody makes his own over-the-top entrance. Darby watches from the nosebleeds to keep a close eye on Cody ahead of their TNT Championship match. Cody starts against Silver and fans are fired up! They tie up, Silver headlocks but Cody powers up and out. They collide and neither falls so Sliver stares Cody down. Sliver SLAPS Cody and eggs him on. Cody kicks, drops down and uppercuts! Cody fireman’s carries and drops for a gut buster rack! Cody drags Silver up to tag in Austin. Austin kicks low, wrenches Silver but Silver throws a forearm!

Silver has Austin in a corner and CHOPS him! Silver whips Austin corner to corner, Austin goes up and over and rolls Silver up. Silver slips out, rolls Austin up but Austin rolls through to basement dropkick the legs out! THROWBACK! Cover, TWO! Austin keeps on Silver but Silver has a wild look on his face. Billy tags in but Silver gets away! Cabana pats Silver on the head and Silver fires up. Silver says he’s FRIGGIN’ JACKED, BABY! Then he tags in Cabana… Cabana and Billy circle, tie up, Billy headlocks but Cabana powers out. Billy runs Cabana over and looms over him. Things speed up, Billy hurdles but Cabana elbows! Cabana runs but Billy catches him to back suplex him HARD! Fans fire up, Billy covers, TWO!

Billy keeps close to Cabana to put him in the corner. Tag to Austin and the Gunns hand-off the wrench. Cabana hits hard, tags Vance in and Vance runs, only for Austin to back drop him! Cabana runs into a BIG right! Austin has Vance, whips him but Vance reverses. Austin dodges but Cabana distracts the ref and Silver gets a cheap shot in! Austin DECKS Silver for it, but Vance SPINE BUSTERS Austin! Cabana stops distracting the ref as Vance looms over Austin. Vance drags Austin up, brings him around and BOOTS him! Austin is in a daze as AEW goes picture in picture.

Vance drags Austin up to fish hook the face and put Austin in a corner. Vance CHOPS and CHOPS and brings Austin away, to then bump him off buckles! Cabana wanted it to be his elbow but Silver makes fun of him for it. Silver tags in and the Numbers mug Austin. Silver brings Austin around to KICK down, and then he double guns at Billy Gunn. The ref keeps Billy back and Silver stands on Austin’s neck while flexing on Billy! Silver lets up at 4, and he drags Austin back up for another KICK! Austin stays up so Silver drags him to the corner and tags in Cabana. Austin shoves back but Cabana whips Silver in for the clothesline! Silver fees Austin to Cabana’s elbow! Cabana keeps Austin from getting to the corner and drags him back to a cover. ONE, but Cabana just smirks.

Cabana drags Austin up, fans rally as Cabana whips, and Austin ducks and sunset flips! Cabana stays up with flailing arms, and flailing arms, and more flailing, but Austin gets him down! TWO, and Cabana DECKS Austin! Cabana tags Vance, Vance looms over Austin and stays between him and the corner. Vance brings Austin up, whips him to the Dark Order corner HARD, then runs in, only for Austin to boot back! Austin punches Cabana and Silver, but runs into Vance’s arms! Vance RAMS Austin into the corner as AEW returns to single picture. Cabana tags in, fires off forearms and body shots, and more forearms! Cabana DECKS Cody just because! But Austin enziguris! Fans fire up, Austin crawls, hot tags to Vance and Billy!

Billy rallies with big hands, then Silver gets in to get hit! Billy DECKS Cabana, then scoops Silver to SLAM him down! Billy runs to corner splash Vance, and brings him around to say, “SUCK IT!” But Vance dodges the Famouser, Cabana is there so Billy clotheslines him out of the ring! Vance swings but misses, FAMOUSER! Cover, Silver breaks it! Cody gets in to bait Silver into buckles, and the SPINNING POWERSLAM! Cody goes up and up and FLIES onto Cabana! Billy hits splashes on Vance but Sliver enziguris! Feed to Vance’s ripcord CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Billy survives but Darby doesn’t look impressed.

Silver DIVES, into Cody’s arms! Cody TOSSES Silver into the wrestlers in the crowd! Cody glares at Silver but Vance whips Billy. Billy holds ropes, boots back, tags Austin, and Austin has Cabana for the CROSS RHODES?! Vance tries the spine buster but Austin escapes, QUICK DRAW!! Cover, The Gunn Club and Cody win!

Winners: Cody & The Gunn Club, by pinfall

Welcome to the family, Billy and Austin! But here come the rest of the Dark Order! Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alan Angels and Alex Reynolds distract the others, and Silver has a chair! But Cassidy returns to snatch that char from him, and give him some ORANGE PUNCH! Cody makes sure the Dark Order stays back as Cassidy takes his leave. Cody gets a mic while Silver is carried away. “I don’t like telling story that isn’t true. My opponent at Full Gear is telling everybody that TNT doesn’t want him as ‘the face of the network, he’s too reckless.'” But that is a fiction made up by Darby! TNT would LOVE to have someone of Darby’s talent as champion! If things were different, Cody would love it, too. After all, Cody solely recruited Darby! He floated Darby’s name to the other EVP’s, and they were so unsure of him, Cody had to wrestle Darby himself.

Take a good look, Darby. He’s been looking all night so take one last look. “You are looking at the man, the superstar, that left the empire, went to war, and actually won!” That pisses a lot of people off, because the truth that Cody speaks contradicts the lies many people live! “So stop lying!” Darby wants the TNT Championship? He wants to be the face of AEW? He wants the “ace belt?” “Here’s the problem, Darby. You’re not the ace.” Cody is the prince, the ace, the face of TNT, but will that all change when he and the #Relentless Darby Allin go around one more time?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for the go-home to Full Gear! The matches weren’t all high level like previous weeks but there was great story progress for the many matches at the PPV. Jericho was great on commentary all night, and his transition from the promo with MJF to MJF’s match with Sammy and Ortiz was good. It works that Matt Hardy cost Sammy so that MJF could get a win. MJF going after Jericho, and then Jericho actually respecting it, is great stuff for their match. I don’t know if MJF wins his way in, even if by cheating, or if he forms his own team after all, but whatever happens at Full Gear will be great. Sammy also got good revenge on Hardy, Elite Deletion is of course going to be gold. Team Taz had a really good promo to point out the AEW rankings system doesn’t always seem to go work you’d think. I wonder if, with things moving around, the Buy-In ends up with a “surprise” tag match of Team Taz VS just about any team really.

The face-to-face of Moxley and Kingston was great, there was so much fire as they brought up history. Their match will definitely be in the same line as last year’s Moxley VS Omega “Unsanctioned” match, it just has to be. We got a great video message from PAC, and we got great vignettes for the tag title and eliminator tournament matches. Bucks and Private Party had an incredible match, especially because of Matt selling bad leg. Omega and Hangman both had great interview segments, and them coming out to stop FTR was a great detail, as was their stare down. Both those matches will be instant classics, that’s guaranteed. Nyla of course won against Red Velvet and it was a good detail for her to copy Shida’s moves. That match is going to be great but it’s going to take a lot to even match the Double or Nothing one.

Miro VS Trent was really good, but I feel like this won’t end unless it’s a tag match. Cassidy and John Silver had a back and forth so their match, which is now a main card match, will be a lot of fun. The Six Man Tag main event was pretty good for a main event, especially with the detail that Gunn Club is now Nightmare Family, and apparently so is Lee Johnson. Nightmare Family VS Dark Order is definitely going to be something huge as AEW moves into 2021, that could end up being how AEW circles back to Blood & Guts if they wanted. Cody’s promo aimed at Darby was great stuff, and their match will also be great. I would hope Cody standing tall with Gunn Club and then saying all that means Darby goes over at Full Gear. It’s the only thing it should mean, really, so Cody doesn’t become the company he vowed to get away from.

My Score: 9.1/10

AEW shares footage from after Dynamite.

Darby Allin made the save for Will Ospreay against Claudio Castagnoli, and Ospreay just wanted a second to talk. Ospreay says if Darby didn’t make that save, Ospreay wouldn’t be finishing this tournament. So just a quick one, Ospreay appreciates it and he thanks Darby very much. Darby says he just has this feeling. The same exact feeling that he had when Bryan Danielson got taken out. The same exact feeling he had when Chuck Taylor was taken out. Something is gonna happen again unless they all do something about it, so what is Ospreay willing to do? Darby says they can just find the Death Riders and put an end to this!

Ospreay says easy, now, tiger. But Darby says something is going to happen unless they do something! Ospreay understands, but can’t Darby see Ospreay’s got bigger things going on? He lost at WrestleDream, he lost at Full Gear, that’s back-to-back PPV loses and that does not happen to Ospreay. He has to regain momentum, and that means going through every single person in this tournament, and that includes Darby. Darby says that’s cute. Darby doesn’t care about Ospreay’s personal problems, or anyone else’s, because this is bigger than all of them. This is about AEW. Next year, there might not even be a Continental Classic if they don’t stop this now.

Doesn’t Ospreay see it? The Death Riders will keep chipping away and chipping away at everything that makes AEW what it is. So what is Ospreay doing? What is he doing about it? Ospreay is trying to win this tournament! He needs his momentum back. He can’t just drop everything. Ospreay needs this! So he’ll tell Darby this as a man who respects Darby: Ospreay respects everything Darby’s doing for AEW, but Ospreay needs his momentum. Then maybe afterwards, knock on his door. If Darby needs someone to fight alongside him, Ospreay’s game. See you next week. Ospreay heads out, but will either of them make it to the Holiday Bash?

Here are the current Continental Classic Blue League standings!

Kyle Fletcher: 3-0, 9 points
Kazuchika Okada: 1-1-1, 4 points
Daniel Garcia: 1-1-1, 4 points
Mark Briscoe: 1-2, 3 points
Shelton Benjamin: 1-1, 3 points
The Beast Mortos: 0-2, 0 points

Mark Briscoe speaks.

“Dem Boys in the house tonight, baby! Kyle Fletcher, I’m coming for you! I need this win, mathematically speaking! I’ma show you how we do! I’ma show you that I’m all dog, baby! All dog! ARF ARF RAA!”

Kyle Fletcher speaks.

“Mark Briscoe, I’m sorry, but tonight, you are just another victim for The Protostar. After tonight, it’ll be 12 points Fletch, and I will see you in the semifinals.”

Kazuchika Okada and Beast Mortos speak.

“Beast Mortos.” Mortos ROARS, but Okada says, “No. B*tch Mortos.” The Rainmaker has some strong words for the menacing minotaur, but will Mortos make sure the Continental Champion does NOT make it to Worlds End?

WrestleDynasty International Women’s Cup Qualifier AEW Finals: Jamie Hayter VS Willow Nightingale!

As the New Year approaches, so does that massive weekend in the Tokyo Dome! WrestleDynasty’s International Women’s Cup awaits, but will Hayter Hit Hard enough to punch her ticket to Japan? Or will the Babe with the Power look to add to her international list of accolades?

The bell rings, the two shake hands and the fans cheer the respect shown. The two tie up, Hayter hits a headlock takeover, but Willow has the headscissors. Hayter kips free, Willow hits a takeover but Hayter headscissors. Willow kips free, the two reset and the fans cheer. The two tie up, go around, and then break. The fans duel as Willow and Hayter circle. They tie up again and are in a deadlock, so they break. Hayter and Willow fire themselves up and circle again. They tie up, Hayter headlocks, but Willow powers up and out. Hayter RAMS Willow, but Willow flexes! The fans cheer, Hayter applauds, and then runs.

Hayter RAMS Willow again, but Willow brushes herself off. Hayter goes again, but Willow RAMS her! The fans fire up and Willow tells Hayter she’s got this. Hayter CHOPS, Willow CHOPS, and repeat! The fans fire up as they go back and forth, and move to forearms! They’re fast and furious and the fans love it! Hayter kicks low, CLUBS Willow, then puts Willow in a corner to CHOP!

Willow CHOPS in return! Willow puts Hayter in the corner to CHOP and the fans are dueling again! Willow CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS! Hayter CHOPS, CHOPS and CHOPS in return! Hayter adds more CHOPS, Willow CHOPS again, then Hayter ROCKS Willow. Hayter whips, but Willow blocks by holding ropes. Hayter CLUBS Willow, whips her, then ELBOWS Willow at ropes. Hayter fires hands, then runs, but Willow DUMPS her to the apron! Hayter skins the cat but Willow throws a shot! Hayter ROCKS Willow in return, then drags her out to the apron, for an APRON DDT! Willow flops to the floor, but the lights go out!

Hayter looks around in a bit of a panic, was that Julia Hart teasing something? After all, Hart’s been calling her out lately. Willow uses the distraction to RAM Hayter into the apron! Willow then climbs up, and the fans fire up as Willow runs, CANNONBALL to the floor! The fans fire up with Willow while Collision goes picture in picture.

Willow drags Hayter up, puts her in the ring, but Hayter bails out the side. Willow is annoyed and goes out after her to stand her up. Willow CHOPS Hayter against the apron! But Hayter turns things around and CHOPS Willow against the apron! Willow fires hands, RAMS Hayter into the railing, then RAMS her into the apron! Willow RAMS Hayter back into the railing, and then throws Hayter into the ring. Hayter still bails out the side! Willow is annoyed again but she still goes after Hayter. Willow brings Hayter up and reels her in, but Hayter fights the suplex! Hayter then suplexes Willow to the floor!

Willow writhes but Hayter crawls away to roll into the ring. The ring count is past 5 of 10 but Willow rolls in at 7. Willow drags Hayter up, RAMS her into a corner, then goes up the corner. Willow drags Hayter up to join her, but Hayter fights back! They brawl, Hayter CLUBS away on Willow, then HEADBUTTS her! Willow smiles as she goes up a corner and the fans cheer again. But Hayter anchors Willow’s legs! Hayter carries Willow in a waistlock, HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! Hayter holds on, ripcords, but Willow dodges to then POOOUNCE!! PERIOD! The fans are thunderous and the straps come down! Willow hauls Hayter up and gut wrenches, BABE WITH THE POWeR- NO, Hayter slips free, rolls Willow up, TWO!! Hayter clinches, HAYTE BREAKER!! But Hayter’s knee takes damage, too!

Hayter roars, and she powers through with that rage! The fans fire up as Hayter kisses the biceps! Hayter pumps up, brings Willow up, but Willow ducks the lariat! Gut wrench, and BABE WITH THE POWER BOMB!! Cover, Willow wins!!

Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall (advances to WrestleDynasty)

That was a powerful battle from powerful young women, but it is the former AEW TBS Champion, former CMLL Women’s World Champion, and former inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion who is heading to the Tokyo Dome! She will join ROH’s Athena, CMLL’s Persephone, and a Stardom star yet to be determined, who will bring home that International Women’s Cup, and the title match promise that comes with it?

As for Hayter, the lights go out for real this time! And when they come back up, JULIA HART has Hayter in position! HAMMERLOCK DDT!! Julia Hart strikes when the time is right, but will the Princess of the Black Throne make sure Hayter knows The House Always Wins?

Brody King speaks.

“When I think of the Continental Classic, I think of prestige, I think of respect. Cowards take the easy way out. Ricochet, you are a coward.” Brody is referring to Ricochet exposing a top turnbuckle and then using it against Brody. Brody says, “I have no respect for you.”

Claudio Castagnoli speaks.

“Some of my colleagues, they would be angry that they lost. I’m also not losing sight of the bigger picture. They would trade victory for success. They would rather win 100 matches than win the war.”

Strong words from two of the physically strongest men in this tournament, but to Claudio’s point, the war is not over as the round robin continues on. Will either Brody or Claudio make comebacks before we reach Worlds End?

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kazuchika Okada VS The Beast Mortos!

The Continental Champion had quite the message for his opponent tonight, but the menacing minotaur never has words, only roaring and violence! Will Mortos do plenty of that to bring down the champ? Or will the Rainmaker prove he’s still the greatest tournament wrestler today?

The bell rings and we’re on the clock. The fans rally up as Okada and Mortos circle. They tie up, Mortos powers Okada to ropes, but Okada turns things around. The ref counts, Okada lets off slowly, and he fakes the chop to then pat Mortos on the shoulders. The fans applaud while Okada and Mortos reset. Okada climbs up, fires forearms, but Mortos HEADBUTTS! Okada staggers away, Mortos rises, but Okada gets under the leap! Mortos comes back, into a FLAPJACK! The fans fire up while both men are down! Mortos rises first, but then flops back down. Okada stands, the fans rally, and Okada wrenches Mortos for a MONEY CLIP! Mortos endures, reaches out, and the fans rally again. Mortos stomps around, powers Okada back and arm-drags him away!

Okada returns, dodges, and he ROCKS Mortos! MOrots ROCKS Okada! Okada UPPERCUTS! Mortos SMACKS Okada, blocks a kick, but Okada ROCKS Mortos! Mortos HEADBUTTS and both men fall! The fans cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” as the ref checks both men. Mortos and Okada go to opposite corners, and Mortos roars! Mortos spins, Okada blocks and now Okada DISCUS LARIATS! Okada hurries to ripcord, RAINMAKER!! Cover, Okada wins!

Winner: Kazuchika Okada, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Mortos earns 0)

Mortos may be at zero points, but he still made Okada earn his! Okada is standing firm at second right now with 7 points, but can Mark Briscoe make it easier on everyone by bringing down Kyle Fletcher?

Toni Storm VS Shazza McKenzie!

It was quite the shocking return for the former AEW Women’s World Champion last Wednesday night on Dynamite, especially since she was no longer Timeless! Toni got her big in-ring return just last night on Rampage, will she keep that momentum going after tonight’s Collision?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Toni shakes hands with Shazza and the two circle. They step up and Shazza kick slow! Shazza headlocks, Toni powers up and out, and then she blows past Shazza to run her over! Toni keeps moving, redirects herself and SHOTGUNS Shazza down! The fans fire up and Toni scoops Shazza to BACKBREAKER! Toni brings Shazza back up to snap suplex! The fans cheer and Toni smiles. Toni brings Shazza up to ROCK her, then UPPERCUT! Shazza sputters but she catches an uppercut to a backslide! ONE, and Shazza whips, only for Toni to reverse. Shazza cartwheels and KICKS Toni’s leg out!

Shazza runs and KNEES Toni to a corner! The fans fire up, Shazza takes a bow, and Shazza runs up, but into a BOOT! Toni waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX! Shazza flounders and Toni goes to a corner. Toni says let’s rock! HIP ATTACK! Toni reels Shazza in, STORM ZERO! Cover, Toni wins!

Winner: Toni Storm, by pinfall

Another win in the comeback tour and Toni grabs a mic. “I never thought that I would get to say this, but Toni Storm is officially All Elite!” Uh, y-yeah? Toni is definitely back, but will she return back to the top of AEW?

AEW shares more footage from after Dynamite.

Reporters caught up with Mariah May to ask her about the return of Toni Storm, and Mariah said she DGAF! What happened to Toni is the same thing that happened to Mina, and it will be the same thing that happens to Thunder Rosa. Every single woman Mariah steps in the ring with has their hopes and dreams, and then they wish they were never born. Mina should just go back to modeling, because her wrestling career as she knows it is over. Mariah didn’t want to do that to Mina, she still loves Mina. But this is just what Mariah does, and will continue to do to any girl that wants to breathe the same air as her. No one can handle the Woman from Hell.

Rosa can go and yell about whatever bat s*it crazy BS she wants, Rosa just needs to name a time and place for Mariah to end her career! As for every other woman in AEW, or any other company, you all have the same dream. But there is only one reality. The Glamour has spoken, but will it fall on deaf ears?

Backstage interview with Thunder Rosa.

Tony Schiavone is with La Mera Mera and brings up Mariah’s comments. Rosa says time and place? March 16th, 2022, San Antonio, Texas, the time and place Rosa won the AEW Women’s World Championship and knew what she was made of. But it doesn’t matter who you ae when you hold the title! What matters is who you are when you aren’t. And Rosa knows in her heart that she is THE champion, for the people and for all of Women’s Wrestling! And that is something Mariah cannot say! And Mariah is cleaning up a mess with her ex-bestie, Toni Storm, but Rosa has a place reserved for Mariah in Hell!

Speaking of Toni Storm, she walks in and says hello, nice to meet everyone. Oh, sorry, she didn’t mean to interrupt. Hi, she’s Toni Storm, she just wanted to introduce herself. They shake hands and Storm says it is a pleasure to meet Thunder Rosa, as well as the living legend, Tony Schiavone. Okay, sorry, she’ll let you all get back to what you were doing. Rock on! Toni heads out and Rosa lets that… odd interaction go. Rosa tells Mariah that in two weeks, her father will be in the audience to see his daughter fight. And she told him to bring a handful of dirt from the graveyards of Tijuana to remind Rosa where she comes from, and where she’s taking Mariah.

So it will be December 28th, 2024, Worlds End! Rosa VS Mariah for the AEW Women’s World Championship, in a TIJUANA STREET FIGHT!! La Mera Mera has spoken, will she bury Mariah in the gave Mariah has dug for herself?

10 Man Tag: Daniel Garcia, Orange Cassidy, Komander & The Outrunners VS MXM Collection & The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling!

While there are many things going on right now, from the Continental Classic to the war with the Death Riders, these teams are getting into the NBA spirit by having a 5v5 All Star showdown! Will the TNT Champion, Freshly Squeezed, the Commander of the Skies and the Youngest Men Alive build up some momentum for the holidays? Or will they get dunked on by Mansoor, Mason Madden, Tony Nese, Josh Woods & Ariya Daivari?

Well of course “Smart” Mark has to take over the introductions. And he says that the Premier Athletes have decided to “let the losers of St. Louis,” and of course these “model citizens,” join in on the pregame cheer. So when they say “Athletes,” you say “Rule,” nothing else! Hands in, boys. Oh, and they would be honored for MXM to put the tips in. Mansoor & Maxon put on finger protection before joining in. Ohhh…! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!” Sterling never learns. The teams sort out and Garcia starts against the Technical Beast. The bell rings, the fans rally up, and Woods taunts Garcia. Nese blocks, then powers free to throat chop! The fans boo, Nese whips, but Cassidy reaches out to tag Komander! Cassidy then dodges to tilt-o-whirl, but Nese stops the DDT! Nese suplexes, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE!

Cassidy holds Nese, Komander runs up, and Komander uses Nese to pommel horse and RANA Daivari! The fans fire up and Komander hurries to go up, up, but Mason distracts him! The ref reprimands, but Nese trips Komander up! Hot tag to Mansoor and then MXM both go after Komander. Mansoor pulls on a leg but Komander’s stuck in a backwards Tree of Woe, so Mansoor gets both legs free. MXM then hauls Komander up, CATWALK LEG DROP! Then they POSE! The fans are torn but Mansoor blows a kiss, and even mocks Garcia’s dance, while Collision goes picture in picture.

Mason joins in on the dance and Garcia wants after them, but the ref keeps him and the team back. MXM kicks Komander around, stomps him, and Mansoor ROCKS Komander to ropes. Tip touch tag to Daivari, and they mug Komander. Daivari spins Komander around to stomp him, then he tip touch tags Mansoor. They double whip Komander to a corner, then Daivari runs in, Komander goes up and over, then ducks under Mansoor, Mansoor LARIATS Daivari in the corner! Mansoor panics, Komander knuckle locks and CHOPS! Komander goes up and up, tightrope walks, then MISSILE DROPKICKS Daivari!

Komander comes back to SUPERKICK Mansoor! Komander staggers up, brings Mansoor around, tag to Turbo Floyd! Komander gets the fans fired up and Turbo climbs. Turbo rains down fists, and the fans count along to nine, flex, and TEN! Turbo tags Truth and Truth climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count again, and we go to nine, wind up, and TEN! Mansoor sputters but Truth tags Garcia. Garcia climbs up, he rains down fists, and he goes to nine, puts up his dukes, and he dances on Mansoor’s face! Garcia’s pick-up team is feeling it, and so is St. Louis, while Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as Komander tags in, but Nese & Daivari run up to mug him and The Outrunner! They toss out Turbo & Truth, then TOSS Komander to the corner! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!” But then Garcia & Cassidy drag Nese & Daivari out of the ring! They brawl, Nese THROWS Garcia into railing while Daivari DECKS Cassidy! Komander is up and he builds speed, but Sterling trips him up! The fans boo but the ref missed that because Mansoor is distracting him! Komander grabs Sterling by the tie and the fans fire up, but Daivari CLOBBERS Sterling! The fans boo more but Daivari puts Komander on the apron.

Nese is on the apron and he suplexes Komander up and in for Woods, who then holds Komander up. Mason runs in, BOOT POWERBOMB COMBO!! Mansoor is up top now, FROG SPLASH!! Woods covers, Team Garcia all breaks it up! The fans fire up but now it’s a brawl! Team Garcia and the #PremierCollection all tumble out, Mason & Mansoor get Cassidy up! Cassidy fights the Centerfold, and Garcia slides in so he can SAIDO Mansoor! Mason HEADBUTTS Garcia! Cassidy tilt-o-whirls to DDT Mason! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, and Cassidy DIVES onto Mansoor! Cassidy sends Mansoor to a corner for Garcia to SHOTGUN!

The fans are thunderous as Koamnder is up top! Tightrope walk, for the SPACEMAN SWANTON! And he tags Cassidy on the way! Cassidy throws off the elbow pad, takes aim at Woods, but Sterling gets on the apron! Cassidy ORANGE PUNCHES Sterling!! Then he dodges Woods, ORANGE PUNCH!! Cover, Team Garcia wins!

Winners: Daniel Garcia, Orange Cassidy, Komander & The Outrunners, by pinfall

The team celebrates, that was a Freshly Squeezed victory! But while this was a big win and a lot of fun, it is time to focus on Worlds End. Will Garcia make his way out of the league to head for the Continental Championship? Will Cassidy overcome the Fatal 4 Way odds to finally be THE AEW World Champion?

Don Callis speaks.

“I had a bad night last night. A couple of turncoats who used to be under my employ, ‘Powerhouse’ Hobbs and Mark Davis, did a little switcharoo, a little number on the Don Callis Family. I woke up today with a hole in my heart because of that, but then I got fantastic news. The gods have smiled upon me because I am getting, in two week’s time, at Worlds End, I am getting my revenge on Powerhouse Hobbs. That’s right, a match against the Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita, has been granted. And it’s in two weeks at Worlds End, and I can’t wait.

‘If you thought everything was coming up the Don Callis Family, I’ve got one more thing to be excited about! Kyle Fletcher is getting ready right now to be in the main event tonight! And run the table and mathematically ensure that he goes on to Worlds End and then wins the Continental Championship, when he beats that degenerate, Mark Briscoe tonight on Collision. That is why the Don Callis Family is the true one percenters of professional wrestling. And you’re gonna see it tonight, and you’re gonna see it at Worlds End. And Hobbs, I’m gonna send you right back to the unemployment line.” Callis has made his promises, but will Konosuke and Kyle be able to keep them?

They tie up, Kyle uses height to power Mark to a corner, and the ref counts. Kyle lets off with a roll back, and he finger guns at Mark. The fans taunt Kyle with, “Ospreay’s Better!” Kyle scowls and he bails out of the ring. The fans boo but Kyle says HE is better than Ospreay! Kyle goes back to the ring, stares Mark down as he steps inside, and the two reset. The fans rally behind Mark as the two tie up, and Mark waistlocks. Kyle wrenches and wristlocks, then he pushes on the hold.

Mark reels Kyle in, Callis stresses out, but Kyle suplexes Mark! Mark fights that, then BITES Kyle on the forehead! The ref counts, Mark stops biting to snapamre Kyle out. Kyle shakes out the stars but Mark builds speed! Mark DIVES and takes Kyle down at the ramp! The fans fire up and Mark puts Kyle back in the ring. Mark hurries up but Kyle runs in, CALF KICK! BANG-BANG, FOLEY ELBOW!

Kyle writhes, the ref checks him and Mark, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Both men are okay to continue so a ring count begins. Mark stirs and rises up, but Kyle is still grimacing in pain. Mark has the fans help him up, and he rolls into the ring. The count is 6 of 10 but Kyle is still down! Callis can’t even go near under Continental Division rules, but Kyle manages to rise at 8! And he leaps in at 9.5! Literally last minute, and the Sussex County Chicken snatches victory from the jaws of defeat! Callis is very upset by this upset victory, and now Mark has new life in the C2! Cassidy & Willow come out to celebrate with him, could Mark make himself one of the semifinalists going into Worlds End?

The Death Riders have hijacked a camera!

Jon Moxley checks if they’re rolling, and Wheeler Yuta says yeah, it’s rolling. He knows how to work that thing? Yeah. Moxley says FTR are about to get lost on their way home tonight. Oh, here they come. The Death Riders watch as Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood walk through the backstage area. Then Marina Shafir stands in their way. Claudio & Pac snatch FTR with blindfold bags! FTR fights but Moxley helps outnumber the #TopGuys, and they drag FTR out to the parking lot. Yuta keeps the camera on him as he smiles and laughs at the carnage happening just on the other side of the wall. Will the Death Riders personally see to it that there is NO ONE to stand against them?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here to wrap Winter is Coming Week, and I do appreciate they’re trying to get more and more people into the Death Rider story, as they should. To that end, good promo from Darby and Ospreay to try and get Ospreay to consider his part in all this. I get Ospreay’s side, he just wants to wrestle, win, and become champion again, but considering Claudio is in Gold League with him, he could end up a target, compelling Ospreay to join the fight. And quite the closing moment, with Death Riders going after FTR because they saved Cassidy from their attack. It’ll be quite the AEW Justice League moment when names like Cassidy, FTR, Ospreay and a few others stand against The Death Riders. And I say Justice League because DC Comics is Warner Brothers Discovery, too.

Speaking of the Continental Classic, awesome matches tonight for Blue League. Mortos was of course losing to Okada but he looked great against the champ. Good promo from Callis to hype up both the International Championship match of Konosuke VS Hobbs and tonight’s main event, and what an awesome win for Mark Briscoe. Kyle is leading at 9, but Okada is second at 7 and Mark is third at 6, and things could really get wild in the last round of Blue League competition. I feel like it should still come down to Okada and Kyle because Okada is the champ and should have a chance at defending his belt, and Kyle could potentially face Ospreay again.

Great 10 Man Tag from Garcia, Komander, Cassidy & Outrunners VS Premier Athletes & MXM, but it was clearly all for the fun so that the fans could stay energized during these long tapings. Good squash match win for Kris Statlander, but I feel like Lynn didn’t sell being held up for a 20+ stalling suplex much at all. Equally good squash match win for Toni Storm, and I absolutely LOVE that Toni Storm is pretending this is her first time in AEW. She got reset to her old persona so apparently that came with a memory reset, that is brilliant. Very good promo Mariah, and a very good promo from Rosa, including Toni’s part. A Tijuana Street Fight for the title, and it keeps both women strong no matter who wins.

Great tag match of Top Flight VS Lio & Action, but also a great use of Leila as a distraction in the wrong way. I almost thought she was going to turn and join Lio & Action, but Leila’s done fairly well as a Face now so I feel like she’ll stay a Face. She could easily just give a promo about how Lio & Action didn’t care about her and that’s why she sticks with Dante & Darius. Private Party VS Lio & Action is going to be a great, but I would think Quen & Kassidy win out. And then great International Women’s Cup Qualifier from Willow VS Hayter. Willow was the natural choice given her accolades.

And while it’s great for Julia to return in person, AEW sure fumbled it. The lights went out during the match, aka way too early, and then I don’t think she did a good job choosing elbow gloves. Those things were falling down the whole time, it looked more like she had a big scrunchy wristband. But hey, Hayter VS Hart in a House Rules match for Worlds End would be great for them both, and it’d be quite the way for Hart to get a return win.

My Score: 8.9/10

Toni Storm VS Harley Cameron!

For the first time in FOUR MONTHS, the former AEW Women’s World Champion is back in AEW, and she’s back as her original form. Will Toni still be victorious even though she’s no longer Timeless? Or will Harley prove she’s Gold Coast, Australia’s best wrestler now?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

Toni Storm’s comeback tour is only heating up as she’ll be in action once again, against Shazza McKenzie! So from one Aussie to another, is Toni going to keep this momentum going? Plus, Kris Statlander will be back in action, will she rebound from her loss at Full Gear? And on top of that, AEW takes a cue from the NBA on TNT, it’s a BIG All Star 10 Man Tag! Daniel Garcia joins forces with Orange Cassidy, The Outrunners & Komander to take on The Premier Athletes & MXM Collection, will the TNT Champion lead his team to a win in this pick-up game?

Brody King speaks.

“When I think of the Continental Classic, I think of prestige, I think of respect and honor. I started the C2 strong, but now I’m down 6 points. Komander, you better bring the fight of your life, because I am.” It is a match of men on the bubble, who will survive one more round in the Gold League? We find out next Friday for Rampage: Holiday Bash!

Deonna Purrazzo VS Shazza McKenzie!

The Virtuosa wants everyone in AEW to understand something: When dealing with The Vendetta, stay on their good side. Will Deonna make sure Shazza understands that explicitly? Or will Shazza get on Deonna’s bad side without even trying?

The bell rings and Deonna circles with Shazza. They tie up, Deonna powers Shazza to the corner, then stomps away! The ref counts, Deonna stops at 4, and she CHOSP! Shazza sputters but Deonna reels her in. But Shazza gets around to roll Deonna up! TWO, and Shazza blocks a boot! Shazza knees, whips, but Deonna turns Shazza’s lariat into a wrench and short arm LARIAT! The fans rally up while Shazza goes to a corner. Deonna runs corner to corner, but Shazza slips out to the apron! Shazza ROCKS Deonna, goes up and up, but Deonna trips her! Deonna has Shazza in the Tree of Woe and stomps her down!

The fans are torn as Deonna goes corner to corner, and she RAMS into Shazza! Shazza flops out of the Tree, and into Deonna’s POWERBOMB! Then FUJIWARA ARMBAR! Shazza TAPS, Deonna wins!

Winner: Deonna Purrazzo, by submission

Deonna doesn’t let go! She makes Shazza pay for lasting even this long! Deonna then lets go to revel in her victory. Will anyone stop The Vendetta from rising up the ranks?

Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.

Alex Marvez welcomes #BornAgainKristen and says it is great to see her back again, for the first time since Full Gear. That match with Mercedes Mone was perhaps one of the best matches in the history of the AEW Women’s Division, but seeing as she lost, where does Kris go from here? Kris says she has not stopped thinking about that match. Actually, it feels like Mone hasn’t, either. It seems like Mone won’t stop talking about it. And to give Mone credit, Mone is everything she says she is. Kris came out of that match pretty beat up, so her next step forward is just to keep moving forward.

Kris always moves forward, and that is why she is going to compete tomorrow night on Collision. She’d wrestle again the next night, and the next night, and the next night if she could. She’ll be at Holiday Bash this Wednesday to watch the TBS Championship match, Mone VS Anna Jay. Whoever comes out on top, they should know that Kris has unfinished business with that title. Kris heads out, will she find a way to be the Face of TBS once again?

PROGRAMMING NOTE for Christmas Collision!

Firstly, don’t be fooled, Collision is still on Saturday, December 21st. BUT it will be live coast to coast, 8 PM Eastern, 5 PM Pacific, immediately following TNT’s coverage of the NCAA College Football Playoffs. Make sure your DVRs are set accordingly so your Collision can be merry and bright!

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us back to Rampage, and he welcomes out ahead of tonight’s main event some of the greatest athletes in the world today, the Don Callis Family! Fans boo as creepy Callus leads the way out for his Alpha, his Murderhawk Monster, and his Protostar. Konosuke Takeshita, Lance Archer & Kyle Fletcher stand with Don Callis and Schiavone in the ring, and Schiavone speaks to Callis that going just off the reaction from the fans, we all know what they think of Callis and his “family.” Callis grabs the mic to say, “I have something important to say. I know you’re very shocked by how we conduct our business, but what business do you think you’re, Schiavone?

“Because I’m in the getting-over-and-making-money business! So is Kyle! So is Takeshita! So is Archer! You don’t believe me? The Murder Machines is the most feared tag team in the history of this company! Takeshita is the best bell-to-bell International champion we’ve ever had. And that brings me to the Protostar, Kyle Fletcher.” The fans boo more but Callis will remind us that “there was a guy running around here who everyone thought was the greatest wrestler they’d ever seen! And his name was Will Ospreay! That was until Will Ospreay got in the ring with Kyle Fletcher! And Kyle Fletcher, Will, he didn’t just beat you. He dominated you!”

The fans boo more as Callis says Kyle put Ospreay down! Ospreay will never be the same. So as he sits home, watching the Callis Family bask in their glory, here’s a question for Ospreay: How does it feel, bruv? The fans boo more, but Callis says, “Wait, it gets better! Just a few short days later, he (Kyle) did the impossible! He got in the ring with a man who has been called, correctly I might add, ‘The greatest tournament wrestler ever,’ Kazuchika Okada. And he BEAT Okada! So Okada, as you sit home and watch us, I’ve got a question for you! How does it feel, b*tch? Tell ’em, Kyle!”

Callis hands the mic over and the fans boo more. Kyle takes off his sunglasses, but he waits as the fans keep booing. “Kansas City, you can boo me as much as you want. You can cheer for that BUM, Ospreay! But it changes absolutely nothing. I am 25-years-old, I have a watch on my wrist that costs more than the car you drive, and I will be the winner of the Continental Classic. So tomorrow night on Collision, Mark Briscoe, I hope you bring more than your Redneck Kung-Fu. Because winning this tournament is my destiny! And nobody gets in the way of me and my destiny.” The fans boo more but Callis gets the mic back.

Callis says one thing is very obvious to him: The Don Callis Family are the ONE PERCENTERS of AEW! And because they’re the One Percent, Callis can say this: there is no one in the back big enough and bad enough to get in the ring with them. But guess what? Here comes “P-P-P-POWERHOUSE!” The fans fire up as Will Hobbs makes his way out, and he’s bringing Dunkzilla with him! Will the Don Callis Family regret ever leaving Hobbs behind?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs & Mark Davis VS Konosuke Takeshita & Lance Archer!

The teams sort out and Hobbs starts against Konosuke. Archer calls to Konosuke, and Konosuke tags him in. The fans rally for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as Archer steps to Hobbs. But Hobbs walks right past Archer to taunt Konosuke. “Is that it? Is that really it?” Konosuke backs off to take a stroll outside. Archer tells Hobbs to pay attention to him, he’s the one in the ring. The fans boo but Archer throws a forearm! Hobbs fires back! The fans fire up as “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” goes back and forth! Hobbs gets the edge but archer knees low! Archer tells fans to shut up! Archer whips, Hobbs reverses, and the two RAM shoulders!

Archer staggers to a corner and Hobbs storms up on him! Hobbs rains down fists from above, and we get “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” all the way to nine, because Konosuke sneaks up! Hobbs runs Konosuke off, then he tags Davis. Davis climbs up on Archer, and he rains down fists! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” all the way to TEN! Davis storms around, he and Hobbs go after Archer together to double whip him corner to corner. Davis runs in and LARIATS! Hobbs runs up to LARIAT! The fans cheer as they double whip back the other way. Archer goes up, but Davis stays back. Davis waistlocks Archer but Archer ROCKS Hobbs first!

Archer ELBOWS Davis, roars and runs, but he gets DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLES! The fans fire up for the big meaty men, and Davis drags Archer up. Hobbs comes back in, and they DOUBLE SUPLEX Archer, and even hold him, before the SLAM! Cover, ONE!! Archer shows that grit but Davis pumps up his arm! The fans fire up with Davis as he runs, but Konosuke gets a cheap shot in! Archer then CROSSBODIES Davis! Archer rains down fast hands, then shouts, “This is MY house!” The fans boo but Archer tags Konosuke, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Archer taunts the fans while Konosuke goes corner to corner. Forearm SMASH on Davis and Konosuke snapmares him down. Konosuke goes up, soaks up the heat, and then SUPER SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Davis toughs it out but Konosuke rains down fists! Konosuke CHOKES Davis, stops as the ref counts, and he tags Archer back in. Archer taunts Hobbs while staying between him and Davis. Archer stands Davis up to short arm ALARAIT! Davis stays up so Archer short arm LARIATS again! Davis falls but Archer brings him up for another short arm LARIAT! Archer stands on Davis’s neck!

The ref reprimands, Archer steps off to drag Davis up, and Archer TOSSES Davis out. Archer keeps the ref distracted so Konosuke can whip Davis into railing! Davis almost falls into the front row! Konosuke drags Davis back and DECKS him! Archer goes out to laugh at the fans while standing on Davis! The ref reprimands, Archer still taunts fans as he steps off, and he drags Davis up. Davis fires forearms! The ring count is climbing but Davis roars, only for Konosuke to CLAW Davis’s face! Archer & Konosuke mug Davis, the ref reprimands them both, but Archer puts Davis in the ring. Archer then KICKS Davis in the side!

Archer drags Davis up to bump him off buckles! Tag to Konosuke, Archer smothers Davis while Konosuke fires body shots. The ref reprimands but Konosuke climbs up. Konosuke throws down fists, but then he BITES Davis on the forehead! Konosuke steps away while the ref reprimands, and Archer almost grabs Davis if not for the ref being wary of him. Archer tags in and he stands Davis up. Archer taunts the fans, then CHOPS Davis! Archer stands Davis up again, to CHOP! Archer stands Davis up a third time, but Davis avoids the chop! Davis CHOPS Archer, but Archer knees low! Archer bumps Davis off buckles, then smothers him!

The ref reprimands, Archer stops, and Rampage returns to single picture. Archer again taunts Hobbs while staying between him and Davis. Archer wrenches Davis, whips him to the corner, but Davis BOOTS Archer away! Davis also ROCKS Konosuke and heads for his corner! The fans are thunderous, but Archer runs at Davis! Davis dodges and Archer hits buckles in the open corner! Davis crawls his way over, but Archer goes to BLAST Hobbs! Archer stomps Davis down while fans boo, but Archer soaks up the heat. Archer grins and looks at the tron, “That’s me!” Tag to Konosuke and Konosuke brings Davis up.

Davis fights the suplex, tries to suplex, but Konosuke also fights! Konosuke powers up to lift Davis up and over! The fans are torn, that was legit impressive. Konosuke runs up but Davis rolls him up! TWO, and Davis DECKS Konosuke! The fans fire up as Davis wobbles and staggers! He spots Hobbs, and leaps for the HOT TAG! Hobbs CLOBBERS Konosuke, LARIATS Konosuke, then runs in and SPLASHES at the corner! The fans are thunderous as Hobbs goes again, but Konosuke BOOTS him! Konosuke runs, avoids the spinebuster, but Hobbs elbows him away. Konosuke BOOTS the lariat away, then ROCKS Hobbs!

Konosuke runs, but Hobbs LARIATS Konosuke inside-out! Only for Konosuke to rise back up! POWER DRIVE KNEE!! Both men fall and the fans are thunderous! Konosuke and Hobbs crawl, hot tags to Archer and Davis! They DOUBLE LARIAT, and DOUBLE LARIAT, and DOUBLE LARIAT again! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” They even switch arms to DOUBLE LARIAT! Davis roars, but Archer grabs him the throat! Davis breaks free to ENZIGIRI! Archer flops to a corner and the fans fire up with Davis! Davis runs, blocks a boot, but Archer STOMPS Davis down! Archer grins, drags Davis up and puts him on the top rope.

Archer climbs but Davis fires hands! Konosuke joins in to CLAW Davis’s face! The ref reprimands but Konosuke climbs up, and now the Callis Family has Davis on the top rope! Hobbs joins in underneath! TOWER OF MEAT- er, DOOM!! The fans are thunderous as Hobbs goes back to his corner. Davis crawls, hot tag back to Hobbs! Hobbs waits on Archer, and he brings down the straps. But Konosuke sneaks in! ALPHA ELBOW! BOOT from Archer! Choke grip, CHOKE SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Hobbs survives and Archer is furious! Konosuke waits on Hobbs and the kneepad comes down. But Davis anchors Konosuke!

Davis drags Konosuke out, sends him into railing, but then Archer DECKS Davis! Hobbs whips Archer to SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans are thunderous again as Hobbs says thumbs up, thumbs DOWN! SPINEBUSTER!! Cover, HOBBS & DAVIS WIN!

Winners: Will Hobbs & Mark Davis, by pinfall

Big meaty men went to big meaty war, but Konosuke wants more! He even has the belt! Hobbs blocks the shot, and he SPINEBUSTERS Konosuke! The fans are thunderous again as Hobbs eyes that International Championship. Hobbs holds the belt up, will this be the scene we see in the not too distant future?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here, great builds in a lot of stuff, and while there was word that those inside AEW thought this was a waste of Toni Storm’s in-ring return, the match we got was really good. Harley had a good little song to advertise the AEW holiday sale, and had a great showing against Toni, but of course Toni wins tonight. She’ll definitely win tomorrow night, too, but I like that she’s facing another Australian wrestler. This is almost like early hype for Grand Slam: Australia in February. Deonna beat Shazza tonight, decent stuff, but the sooner they get going on The Vendetta targeting Anna Jay the better so that The Vendetta actually has a story.

Actually, I think I said it before but the Vendetta story could be them joining Mercedes Mone, revealing themselves as the ones who attacked Kamille. Then those three take on Kamille, Anna Jay, and Kris Statlander in a Six Woman Tag. Speaking of, good promo from Kris Statlander, and her wanting after the TBS title again is a natural move. She’s gotta bide time while the AEW Women’s World Championship story unfolds, and she’s not downgrading to ROH, she is not that far out of the running. That Six Woman Tag could even lead to a Six Pack Challenge for the title, making it much easier to get that title off Mone.

Very good match from Cardona VS Keith to open the night, but of course Cardona wins. This combined with last night’s ROH contract signing segment, Cardona has all the momentum going into Final Battle next week, so he is sadly not winning the title. Jericho still has to complete his goal of getting ROH a cable TV deal, and there is even word that there is interest, perhaps even from Warner Brother Discovery to put ROH on the other Turner network, TruTV, so who knows. Maybe Jericho retains long enough for that deal to be finalized, and then he loses on the first episode of ROH back on cable.

Good promo from Brody King, and I would think he defeats Komander to rebound from his lose to Claudio. Sorry, Komander, but you might be eating the goose egg. Very good promo from Callis and Fletcher to call out Ospreay and Okada and even Mark Briscoe. I feel like that foreshadows Ospreay and Okada making it to Worlds End as semifinalists with Fletcher. And a great main event tag match as Hobbs & Davis made a surprisingly good duo. Great win for Hobbs & Davis, too, and it establishes Hobbs VS Konosuke for the International Championship. Now, Hobbs’ chances of winning that title depend on what AEW and NJPW agree on for WrestleDynasty and Konosuke VS Shingo Takagi, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Hobbs win.

My Score: 8.8/10
