I think someone at NXT is reading my column. Oh c’mon. Humor me.

6. They’re reading this. Probably not, but that’s what I tell myself. This week the History-O-Meter rings in at…two? History references drop from 12 to two? Somebody got to them. In fact, the announcing this week was enjoyable. Even Beth Phoenix. Special shout out to Vic Joseph. Grizzled Young Veterans hit the Doomsday Device but don’t get the pin. Joseph follows it up with “What a rush that would have been” if they did get the victory. Good stuff. 

5. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez deserve a proper tag name. Been a while since I’ve said this: TAG TEAMS SHOULD HAVE A NAME!!! Team Kick is too cheery. I vote for One Arm Power Bomb. That’s a damn cool name for a move and a team. They deserve to win the Dusty Classic, and, presumably, the title shot that comes with it. Men get one. Women should, too. Fair is fair. 

4. NXT Mini 6: Six reasons to love Killian Dain & Drake Maverick

1. Their mash up theme song
2. Drake’s jeans
3. Dain throwing Drake into their opponents
4. Drake’s dancing
5. Dain punching his own partner
6. Wrestling can be fun without fart jokes. 

3. Maybe I’m getting older. Maybe the Women’s Revolution is having its desired impact. I don’t care how hot she is, I have no desire to see Scarlett on my screen. The low budget horror movie dialogue is ridiculous. Dump her entire hokey segment and give those three minute to Bronson Reed and Swerve Scott. Speaking of…   

2. Not every rivalry needs a title, or even the main event. Bronson Reed and Swerve Scott are great together. Great story. Great action. Big clash of personalities. These two are peanut butter and chocolate, potatoes and onions, bread and butter. This feud deserves a spot at Takeover. If NXT is reading this, and I think they are, Reed and Scott will get their moment.    

1. I’ve been banging the drum for over a year for WALTER versus Cesaro. The only match I want to see more? Finn Balor versus Kyle O’Reilly III. These two can do no wrong. Their tension before the match. Their reluctant partnership. Balor falling in line with the Undisputed Era. As good as Balor and O’Reilly have been in their careers, I don’t think they’ve ever been better than right now. Please let Karrion Kross flop around with someone else for the next few months. I don’t want him gunking up what might be the best storyline in all of wrestling.
