5. I’m glad Roderick Strong isn’t getting lost in the breakup of the Undisputed Era. He deserves better than to be the forgotten odd man out. Go back to his 2017 Takeover match with Eric Young. He was over big time with the fans. I hope he can get back to that level on his own. 

4. Week after week, Legado del Fantasma get kicked around like hapless goobers, and Santa Claus Ice Cream Bar never comes to their rescue. I like Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde as a tag team, but how can I expect them to win a match if they can’t handle KUSHIDA two on one? Grizzled Young Veterans versus MSK is good on its own. I’m not sure why Legado is in the match. Speaking of KUSHIDA…

3. Last week Pete Dunne called himself the best technical wrestler in NXT. This week KUSHIDA called himself the best technical wrestler in NXT. Are they really setting up a Dunne-KUSHIDA feud? If they are, I’ll start losing my mind right now. I’d be entirely happy if it ends in a match at a future Takeover and the winner is the new #1 contender for the North American title.   

2. Finn Balor does the impossible. He cuts a blazing promo, and in two minutes he’s made me care about a Doomsday Saito match. Balor is going to force Saito to be something other than insanely angry. I have my doubts that he can successfully pull it off, but at the very least the Prince made it interesting.  

1. This week’s That’s Why I Love Wrestling goes to…the sounds of NXT UK! I love the wacky British slang. I love listening to wrestlers yell at each other in German and Russian, even though I have no idea what they are saying. No other wrestling show sounds as fresh and different as NXT UK. You don’t need exploding barbed wire and other insane stipulations to make wrestling exciting. You just need two wrestlers putting on a dandy…you yogurt.
