6. First the crap-tacular. Instead of showing us the action that occurred anywhere, the announcers told us that during a commercial break, Swerve Scott and Leon Ruff fought through the gym, the locker room, all over the CWC. I refuse to believe nobody in a billion dollar company sees the flaw with this. I guess the only solution is to be a stupid as the E thinks I am. Now the spectacular…

5. Leon Ruff versus Swerve Scott was as good as I hoped it would be. 4.6 stars. From Ruff’s music (which is aces) to the introduction of Swerve’s posse, this was intense from start to finish. Kudos to Ruff for showing a side of him I never saw coming. Now I want to see Ruff join Swerve because you need a 4-man team for WAR GAMES!!! I need Swerve in War Games. The world needs Swerve in War Games. Swerve needs a new house.

4. And now a word from Zack Gibson, my fashion sensei, and soooooon to be recognized as NXT’s best and most natural heel. “Nobody needs to see your dirty webbed toes, so stick your Crocs back on, sit down and zip it, or I promise we will be on the next plane out of this dump of a country!” 

3. I have no idea what Diamond Mine is. Possibly a wrestler. Maybe an energy drink. Tae Bo for a new generation. If I was a gambling man, and I am, my money is on men’s deodorant. 

2. Pete Dunne gets new music and it still isn’t right. I’ve always envisioned him storming the ring to gritty, grimy British punk music, the kind of song that can kick your ass through your ears. Something like this.

1. This week’s That’s Why I Love Wrestling Award goes to…Jake Atlas!!! Atlas hits La Knight with a German suplex. He goes for the pin, but Knight’s left side is almost under the ropes. What does Atlas do? He hooks Knight’s left arm and leg so Knight can’t break the count on the ropes. Just great stuff. I’ve never been a big fan of Atlas, but more smart wrestling like this might convince me to rethink that.
