In an episode of Chairshot Radio released last February, host Greg DeMarco reminisced about the 2018 All In wrestling event. This independent pay-per-view event was promoted by professional wrestlers Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson (The Young Bucks), as well as Cody Rhodes.

“They were kind of putting everything they had in this one event,” DeMarco revealed. “They really did stake their reputation, their futures — a lot of things — on All In.” In fact, the entire episode centered on the phrase “all-in.” This actually originated as a poker term for putting all of one’s chips into the pot — essentially, risking it all on one hand. Whether it’s out of confidence or recklessness, being all in means fully committing yourself to this one course of action.

Greg added that you can use this phrase for a number of things: in everyday life, and even in wrestling. With multiple personas in the ring, the man behind Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love would guarantee a particularly exhilarating game of poker! The Hardcore Legend’s undoubtedly all-in dedication to wrestling is sure to seep through into his playing style, too. In any case, we’d definitely let him borrow a chair.

Samoa Joe

This martial arts master is one of those people who like to play poker in his spare time, and he’s pretty serious about his matches, too. While on tour with the TNA in the UK, he was playing a high-stakes game of poker with fellow professional wrestlers AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels when something hit him from behind. Suspecting a robbery, Samoa Joe chased the man down and ultimately drew the attention of the police. Turns out, the man was a fan trying to play a prank on the trio.

The Miz

We’d sure like someone excessively confident at our poker table — and someone who knows how to sing Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, to boot! All kidding aside, though, Michael Mizanin actually loves everything about poker. In 2008, he even helped do a charity poker tournament to benefit the families of firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Undertaker

Towering over most people at 6 feet and 10 inches, The Undertaker is one of those professional wrestlers who’ve made a name for themselves by rarely breaking out of character. Even his life outside of work was well-guarded, further contributing to his persona’s general intimidation and mystique. Fans believe that he’s got the most all-in gimmick in wrestling history, and it would undoubtedly play extremely well on the poker table.

John Cena

Cue the entrance music! We couldn’t possibly finish this list without paying homage to WWE’s biggest superstar.
