With Patrick and Tunney on “assignment” this week, Dave & Rey call in the big guns….the one and only Christopher Platt and Dave’s lovely wife Kayleen. The Nerds convene to break down Episode 3 of This Is Pop to explore the massive Swedish influence on pop music and to ponder how exactly The Backstreet Boys actually wanted it? From there, most of the Nerds watched the first Episode of Marvel’s new series What If? The Nerds offer up their thoughts on that first Episode and how they liked Marvel’s Multiversal approach to the new series. Doom Patrol Season 3 is coming. Are the Nerds excited? The Venom sequel got delayed. Are the Nerds nervous about additional delays? The Suicide Squad was a success among critics but not so much at the box office. Was it a failure? The Nerds offer up some thoughts as to some things they would like to be turned into a show on streaming services. And did Christopher Platt actually write a country song on the spot? You will have to tune in to find out. Any way you want it, that’s the way you need it here on Episode 92 of BWN!

This week, the NERDS come to you on a historic day. Recorded just moments after Alex Ovechkin set the new record for most goals in NHL History, we get a very mini, very impromptu, edition of the Four Corners Podcast before turning to the Nerdy goodness of the week. Daredevil: Born Again, Episode 7, continues to follow Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk as they both try to embrace their present and keep their respective pasts at arm’s length. The serial killer Muse has different ideas, though, and his actions force the hands of both hero and villain in another excellent Episode. We got a huge announcement about Spider-Man 4 (aka Spiderman: Brand New Day), an extended sneak-peek at an opening scene from James Gunn’s Superman, and $450 for a Nintendo Switch 2? And $90 for physical copies of games? Really Nintendo? Villian Madness returns with the Round of 32 matchups in the Rich & Powerful and Vengeful brackets. The guys also pay their respects to the one and only Val Kilmer. All that and, of course Whatcha Watchin”?
