They’re in Rochester tonight and showing love to the Big Rig.

CM Punk joins commentary!

The Best of the World has fans singing Cult of Personality all over again as he joins Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and good ol’ Jim Ross for the night.

Adam Cole VS Jungle Boy!

The Panama City Playboy brings the BOOM to Rochester, but will he prove he’s the future of AEW over the front man of Jurassic Express? Or will Jack Perry be living the Jungle Life at his expense?

The bell rings and fans still sing with Tarzan Boy but Cole tells JB it doesn’t matter. They tie up, go back and forth in the deadlock but Cole gets to a waistlock then headlock. Fans duel as JB powers up but Cole holds tight. JB throws him off to get an arm but Cole headscissors. JB kips free, Cole headlocks again and puts JB in a corner. The ref counts, Cole lets off and whips corner to corner. JB goes up but Cole knows the over is coming so he hangs back. Cole headlocks and hits a takeover, but JB makes it a cover! ONE, and Cole grinds the headlock. Fans rally, JB fights up and powers Cole to ropes. The ref calls for the break and Cole lets off, but he and JB get chippy with strikes!

JB headlocks and grinds Cole down but Cole fights up to power out. JB runs Cole over! Fans fire up for JB as he stands over Cole, but Cole gets up. Knuckle lock, but Cole kicks and throws a haymaker! JB goes up and up and rebounds to arm-drag! Cole gets up but JB dropkicks him out! JB kips up and fans are thunderous as Cole paces. JB waits on Cole as a ring count climbs. Fans are counting along, Cole slides in just to refresh things then bails right back out.

JB gives chase, Cole gets back in and stomps JB down. Cole gets JB up to bump off buckles, then he runs in, into a BOOT! JB goes up but Cole SHOVES him to the floor! Cole soaks up the cheers and jeers as JB clutches his head and legs. Cole goes out to fetch JB, bumps him off the apron, then stomps JB around. Cole puts JB in the ring, drags him up and turns him for a NECKBREAKER! JB sits up, Cole JAMS his knee into JB’s back. Cole clamps on a chinlock and grinds JB to the mat. Fans rally up and JB stands, throws body shots, and runs, but into a BIG back elbow! Cole points to himself and fans are again torn.

Cole stalks JB to ropes, drags him back up and into the corner. Cole wrenches and whips JB corner to corner hard, and JB hits buckles to fall to the mat. Cole grins as he watches JB gets back up. Cole throws forearms, wrenches and whips JB corner to corner then storms over, but JB elbows and forearms and CHOPS! JB whips, Cole reverses but JB dropkicks a leg out! JB keeps moving, Cole sidesteps but the COMEBACK LARIAT takes him down! Fans fire up behind JB as he gets Cole up and suplexes, but Cole wrenches out to throw a forearm. Winner: Adam Cole, by pinfall

Cole grins as he gets away with that one! Jungle Jack Perry almost had The Elite’s prodigal son, but The Elite (The, the Elite!) come out to celebrate with their buddy. The Young Bucks, the Good Brothers, Brandon Cutler, Michael Nakazawa, Kenny Omega and Don Callis all strut their way to the ring as AEW goes to break.

AEW returns and The Elite is all in the ring.

Karl Anderson wants Rochester to welcome the #SuperElite. To be Elite, you gotta have: the Impact Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers; Adam Cole BAYBAY; the AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega; and the greatest tag team that’s ever been in the ring, the Young Bucks! And though they don’t have the AEW World Tag Team Championships, they’re still EVP’s: Extremely Violent People! YEP! And then we’ve got Nakazawa and Cutler. Cole then gets the mic to say “I told you so,” because he told us all that he’d beat Jungle Boy, and that’s what he just did! “On top of that, I did it by myself. And do you now why? Because Adam Cole Baybay is ELITE.”

Cole says on top of that, Adam Cole Baybay is undefeated! Cutler gets the mic and says The Elite- SHUT UP, BRANDON. Nick takes the mic and asks Rochester if they’re ready to hear the best promo in all of pro-wrestling! Fans are torn but Nick hands it over to Nakazawa! Wait, what? Nakazawa tells the CM Punk chants to shut up! “I have nothing to say!” He then hands the mic to Omega. Omega says his telephone’s been ringing off the hook, his social medias, from Twitter to “The Gram” to Facebook to even MySpace, full to the brim with the same thing over and over again: “That was possibly the greatest match I’ve ever seen. That was probably AEW Dynamite’s greatest match.” And Omega says, “That’s cool. But see if I care.”

Omega tells Bryan Danielson that he took Omega to his limit. Bryan kicked him in his chest, in his belly, and then cashed in on the promise of kicking his head in. Fans chant “YES! YES! YES!” But Omega says Bryan couldn’t get the job done! The other problem? Bryan has ZERO RECORD, no rematch, and will never see Omega in the ring again. But speaking of, here comes BRYAN DANIELSON! Bryan has a mic to say, “Let’s see. Do you guys wanna see a rematch between me and Kenny Omega?” “YES! YES! YES!” Well the fans want a rematch, Bryan wants a rematch, but it appears Omega doesn’t have the balls to give us one! Fans chant “NO BALLS! NO BALLS!” at Omega.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Kenny ‘No Balls’ Omega!” The Elite are upset over that on but fans chant, “Kenny No Balls!” Punk says to put that on a shirt. So now then, let’s see if anyone else in the Elite has balls! Bryan challenges any one of them to a match on Rampage! Omega says that’s funny. Big words from a small little man. Why Rampage? How about right now? Fans do like the sound of that. Omega says today’s lucky day, Bryan is on The Price is Right! Well okay then, but Bryan’s not coming alone! He calls out his back-up! The Elite Hunter, Frankie Kazarian! Captain Charisma, Christian Cage! Jungle Boy and Jurassic Express!

The Elite runs away, not ready to fight an even 6v6! “Kenny No Balls” isn’t doing himself any favors, but when and where will he and The Elite have to take on their rivals?

Backstage interview with The Lucha Brothers.

They and Alex Abrahantes stand proud as Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero M are the DUAL AEW World and AAA Tag Team Champions. But Andrade El Idolo interrupts already as he tells the “kids” congrats on having those belts. But where is Pac? No se? Jose has something to say, oddly. It has been a long time since they’ve defended the AAA Tag Team Championships, so it’s about time they do. Oh? Who is he to say that? Andrade says he can get his many luchador friends to take those titles. Fenix says anywhere, anytime, and Penta adds it’s because they have #CeroMiedo! Who, then, will El Idolo enlist as his lucha libre hitmen to take out the Lucha Brothers?

Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson w/ Brandi Rhodes & Arn Anderson VS Matt Sydal & Dante Martin!

The American Nightmare is perhaps still reeling from his loss to Malakai Black, but maybe changing things up with a tag match can help him through. Will he and Big Shotty be able to ground the high-flying duo standing before them?

Teams sort out and Cody starts with Dante, despite Arn’s advice. They tie up, Cody headlocks and hits a takeover. Dante fights up as fans chant, “Cody Sucks!” Dante puts Cody on the ropes, lets off cleanly, and Cody cools off to tag in Johnson. Sydal tags in and now he circles with Johnson. They tie up, Sydal waistlocks, spins and headlocks to a takeover. Sydal floats to stand Johnson up for a snapmare, then again, and then a flying-mare! Johnson sits up into a KICK! Tag to Dante, he and Johnson circle as Arn coaches up Big Shotty. Johnson and Dante tie up, Dante waistlocks but Johnson headlocks.

Dante headlocks back, Johnson powers up and things speed up, Johnson runs Dante over. Things speed up again, Dante LEAPS over Johnson then kicks low. Dante whips but Johnson blocks and slips around to a back suplex. Dante lands on his feet and shoves Johnson to a corner, but Johnson goes up and over to handspring and run back in. Dante FLIPS up and over, then dodges a leg sweep with a handspring. The two stand off and get forehead to forehead. Cody and Sydal jump in to keep this from getting heated, but then Cody throws a forearm to Sydal! Sydal hits back, Dante and Johnson brawl, but Cody throws Sydal out as AEW goes picture in picture.

Cody runs and goes up and up to FLY! Sydal gets clear and Cody crashes! Sydal gets him back with a FLYING KNEE! Dante bumps Johnson off buckles, whips him to ropes but Johnson dodges to DIVE out onto Sydal! Cody and Johnson regroup but Dante runs in to SPRINGBOARD SWANTON! Dante wipes them both out and he’s all fired up! Sydal and Dante regroup and they get Johnson into the ring. The ref restores order and Dante drags Johnson over to tag Sydal. They double whip and leap frog to then double dropkick! Sydal covers, TWO! Sydal keeps on Johnson with a facelock, then floats to get the legs, BOW ‘N’ ARROW!

Johnson endures being bent back but Sydal lets him down to DOUBLJE STOMP his back! Tag to Dante, he runs in to FLIPPING SENTON! Cover, TWO! Dante keeps Johnson from Cody and bumps him hard off buckles. Tag to Sydal, they mug Johnson in the corner, then Sydal CHOPS! Sydal wrenches, reels Johnson in and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS! Sydal puts a half straitjacket on Johnson as AEW returns to single picture. Johnson fights up, throws body shots but Sydal half nelsons. Johnson fights free but Sydal elbows free. Sydla runs but into a dropkick! Both men are down, crawl for their corners, hot tags to Cody and Dante! Cody rallies, kick to Rhodes Uppercut! But Dante dropkicks!

Dante runs but into a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Cody gets Dante up, whips but Dante goes WAY up to RANA! Dante and Cody throw big haymakers and forearms, and Dante gets the edge! Dante whips but Cody blocks and ROCKS him with a kick! Cody DISASTER KICKS Sydal, then spins Dante around and hooks him up! DIN’S FIRE!! Cover, TWO!! Dante survives and Cody is shocked! Cody gets Dante up as fans rally and scoops. Sydal gets in, Dante slips off, Sydal ROUNDHOUSES Cody down! Johnson gets in but Sydal RANAS him back out! Dante goes up and leaps for a HUGE missile dropkick! Cover, TWO!

Sydal rallies the fans up as Dante gets back up. Dante goes to a corner and climbs, springboards and TRIANGLE QUEBRADA! Cover, TWO!! Cody scrambles away, Dante runs in but is tossed out! Cody BOOTS Sydal down, Johnson brings him over to tag in! Sydal runs back in, Johnson dodges but Sydal SOBATS! Sydal facelocks but Johnson schoolboys to a SUPERKICK! Sydal bails out, Dante returns band rolls Johnson up, TWO!! Dante runs in, Johnson dodges to SUPERKICK! Fisherman for the USHIGOROSHI! Cover, Johnson and Cody win!

Winners: Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson, by pinfall

The Nightmare Family wins as Johnson makes sure Cody doesn’t get in Cody’s own way. Tony Schiavone joins them in the ring to congratulate them on the big win. Fans boo but Cody says he knows the audience waited a long time for this show. Why wait? Where is Malakai Black!? Arn tells Cody to stop talking right now. July 7th, Malakai came into AEW and has systematically destroyed the family. This is Cody’s fight. Malakai destroyed Cody and Cody started taking off his boots. What the hell was that about? They didn’t talk that one through! Then in the rematch, Cody gets Malakai hurt but was worried more about Arn. Arn says to hell with worrying about him! It isn’t about Arn!

Arn tells Cody he should’ve finished the fight. Now here’s the difference that’s gonna keep him from going even an inch further. Malakai Black is an assassin, a predator, he will do anything to destroy the man he’s in the ring with. Just asks Lee! Or Arn’s son, Brock. Arn would take the fight but he’s just too damn old. But there are big differences between Arn and Cody is this. “You pull up to a red light, a man jerks your door open and says, ‘Outta the car, I’m taking your car.'” Cody would say, “Okay, take it. Just don’t hurt me.” Arn would pull out his Glock, put it on the man’s forehead and spill his brains on the concrete!

He’s ARN ANDERSON, and all that implies, so he’ll be damned if he’s gonna coach a loser! C’mon, Lee, at least you listen to him. The Coach is leaving Cody behind until Cody gets his guts back. What must the American Nightmare do to keep his life from becoming a nightmare?

Six Man Tag: Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston & Darby Allin w/ Sting VS Anthony Greene & Bear Country!

The violent and unpredictable crew is sticking together for another wild night! Will the Maniac, the Mad King and the Relentless One be ready for a throwback with #RetroAG and the Bear Country boys, Boulder & Bronson?

Teams don’t even sort out because Mox goes right after Boulder! Kingston gets at Bronson so Darby and Greene stare down as those animals spill out of the ring. Greene fires up, but then offers Darby a handshake. Darby takes it, to WRING Greene out! Darby rolls, Magistrol, ONE! Greene gets up but Darby headlocks. Greene powers out but Darby runs him over. Things speed up, Darby arm-drags Greene and clamps onto the arm. Fans rally as Darby wrenches and wristlocks then tags in Kingston. Kingston CLUBS Greene’s arm, CHOPS him against ropes, then whips him to ropes. Kingston KNEES low, whips again and then kitchen sink knees Greene down.

Tag to Moxley but Greene gets away! Boulder tags in and the brawling continues! Moxley dodges to CHOP and CHOP and CHOP! Moxley runs but Boulder rams shoulders. Neither falls so Moxley goes again but Boulder rams him again. So Mox CHOPS Boulder! Moxley runs but leaps into Boulder’s arms! Bronson tags in, Boulder POWERSLAMS and Bronson BACK SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Bronson tags Boulder back in and Boulder DECKS Kingston! Bronson goes up, Boulder gives him an Electric Chair Lift, but Kingston returns to dropkick Boulder’s legs out! Bronson falls and staggers up but he ducks the uraken to back suplex, only for Kingston block.

Kingston switches and GERMAN SUPLEXES Bronson away! Bronson gets folded but Boulder clamps onto Kingston! Moxley waistlocks Boulder and gets him up but Boulder elbows him away. Boulder runs at Moxley but Moxley dodges! Greene tags in before the SNAP GERMAN! Greene lurks, but Darby sees the Bears and SUPER COFFIN DROPS! Greene SUPERKICKS Moxley, blocks Kingston’s kick to KNEE him back, and then goes up top fast! Greene does a pray, tightropes and CROSSBODIES! But he bounces off the maniacs! VIOLENT CROWN!! Cover, the wild things win!

Winners: Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston & Darby Allin, by pinfall

Kingston makes sure that though they won, this moment is about Brodie Lee by borrowing a fan’s Brodie Lee sign. Sting gets to do the honors by giving Greene a SCORPION DEATH DROP! Will these violent icons continue to roll on into the Fall?

AEW hears from Ruby Soho and Britt Baker.

The Runaway says, “I had 20 thousand people. They were there with me that night. I have never felt like I had so many people in my corner.” The Doctor says that Ruby may have had 20 thousand singing a song, but that’s all. Britt proved again why she is the most dominant woman in pro-wrestling. Ruby knows she can’t just jump back to the front of the line so there’s work to do. Britt says, “Back of the line, babe.” Ruby Nono should know what it’s like to hit rock bottom. Ruby promises the next time she and Britt meet, Britt will learn the consequences of taking something from Ruby she’s wanted long before she ever even got here.

16 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy & The Dark Order VS The Hardy Family Office!

Talk about a MASSIVE match! Rare you see anything get even past 10, but we have an EIGHT VS EIGHT right here in Rochester! Freshly Squeezed stands alongside the men Brodie Lee brought out from the shadows and into the light, and they’re ready to bust up Big Money Matt’s conglomerate! But before the match, Hardy has the mic. “A year and a half ago, I was supposed to make my debut, right here in Rochester, New York! But fortunately, that was DELETED, because this place didn’t deserve Matt Hardy’s debut!” Hardy says Rochester is an awful town, and it only produces awful people, and doesn’t deserve a legend like him!

But Cassidy’s entrance interrupts! He’ll be facing Jack Evans in a Hair VS Hair match for Rampage, but he clearly doesn’t mind a quick tune-up. Preston Vance has a new Deathstroke inspired mask as he stands with all of the Dark Order, including Negative One! Is this the moment all seven stars align and win not just as a faction, but as a family?

The teams sort out and Butcher starts with Alex Reynolds, but then Evil Uno tags himself in. That doesn’t sit well already but then Alan Angels, also in a new mask, tags himself in. There’s already arguing but Angels throws off the mask to shove Uno! Butcher and Blade take advantage of the dysfunction and attack all three! Butcher shoves Angels to the corner, hauls him up and suplexes, then Blade adds a CROSSBODY! Cover, Vance breaks it! Blade drags Angels over, Marq Quen tags in and they mug Angels. Tag to Kassidy, Private Party mugs Angels and whips him corner to corner to then bring him back for a BOOT! FLAPJACK BULLDOG!

Kassidy SLAPS Angels down to cover, TWO! Angels hurries and tags in Cassidy, the one man not part of the drama. Private Party runs in but Cassidy dodges them both to double dropkick! And kip up! He fires off those “vicious” kicks but then Jack Evans attacks from behind! Cabana gets in and now everyone joins in! AEW goes picture in picture as it’s a chaotic brawl!

The HFO starts to take control as they throw Dark Order members out, and then Kassidy is cocky as he gets Cassidy up. Kassidy suplexes, covers, TWO! Kassidy drags Cassidy up to suplex again! Cover, TWO! Kassidy tags in Johl and they mug Cassidy. Jora Johl suplexes, holds Cassidy up for a counter of 10, then tags in Quen before the SLAM! Quen slingshots for the senton, then taunts The Dark Order. Quen stomps Cassidy, stands on him, then tags in Kassidy. Private Party whip but Cassidy reverses! Quen goes out, Kassidy whips Cassidy but runs into a boot. Cassidy sends Kassidy out but SILLY STRING FLOPS! Cassidy steps over Kassidy to lukewarm tag Stu Grayson!

Player 2 rallies on Private Party! OVERHEAD Belly2Belly for Kassidy! BOOTS for the mercs and haymakers for the Hybrid2! Blade gets in, Stu dodges to CLOBBER him! Stu whips, Blade reverses and Hardy dumps him out! The HFO mugs Stu but Uno goes right at Blade! The ref keeps him back, Stu is put in and Blade drags him up to tag in Johl. They mug Stu, tag to Angelico and he throws JABS and KICKS! Tag to Butcher, he mugs Stu and then tags Angelico back in. Tag to Evans, TH2 bring Stu around but he fights them off! AEW returns to single picture as TH2 mugs Stu again, then they DECK members of the Dark Order! Stu dodges TH2 to DOUBLE PELE!

Hot tag to Reynolds! Number 3 rallies on the TH2! Dropkick and handspring, but Evans kicks low. Evans runs but Uno moves Reynolds aside to BOOT Evans down! Uno and Reynolds look to each other, Angelico runs in but they both kick and whip. Angelico breaks up the double back drop with a kick to Uno, then he throws Reynolds into Uno! Uno falls out of the ring, Reynolds BOOTS Angelico away! Evans waistlocks but Reynolds breaks free! Pop-up KNEE! Cassidy tags in, he goes up and FALLING SPLASHES! Cover, TWO!! Evans survives but now Uno and Reynolds argue! Uno couldn’t tell Angelico shoved Reynolds into him!? Uno storms off, Stu hurries after.

Cassidy aims at Evans, but Evans turns Orange Punch into Backslide Bridge! Angels breaks it and all hell breaks loose again! The ref shouts for order, Cabana also tries to get Uno to realize what happened, but Negative One brings in special reinforcements: Anna Jay, Tay Conti and MAMA ONE, Amanda Huber! Negative One throws the papers at Uno!! And Amanda shouts at the boys to squash this beef because this is for Brodie! Fans are thunderous and Uno realizes he’s been in the wrong! Uno, Stu and Cabana run back in to join the fray!! The Dark Order clears the ring now, and Rochester is loving this!

Stu FLIES out onto Hardy and Quen! Angels and Cabana coordinate, ASAI MOONSAULTS IN STEREO!! Down go Angelico and Butcher on one side, Jora Johl on the other! Vance and Reynolds team up, UNLUCKY 13! The Powerbomb Moonsault takes out The Blade! Kassidy returns and Vance SPEARS him off the apron onto Hardy, Quen and the Butcher! This brings things back to just Cassidy and Evans! Hot tag to Johl, he runs in at Cassidy, but John Silver tags in to GAMANGIRI Johl! Number 4 CANNONBALLS onto Blade, EuroUppers Butcher, steps on Angelico, and Cabana gives him the go-ahead to BOOT Evans and CLOBBER Private Party!!

Silver is up top, fans are ELECTRIC, and Johl stands up. Silver leaps but Johl gets under, only to run into a TEN OUTTA TEN SPINEBUSTER! Hardy gets up to get an ORANGE PUNCH! Vance hauls Johl up, and feeds him to the BEAVER BOY BLITZ!! Uno and Stu get in on this one, #FINISHHIM! FATALITY!! Silver covers, the Dark Order and Orange Cassidy win!!

Winners: Orange Cassidy & The Dark Order, by pinfall

Finally, all the internal strife is put aside with big handshakes and even bigger hugs! Amanda, Tay and Jay join in, and Negative One is hoisted up onto Vance’s shoulders. Reconciliation on a Wednesday night, you know what that means! Will the Dark Order finally be running on all cylinders towards the top of AEW?

AEW hears from Lio Rush.

“Tony K’s been hitting me up for weeks saying that he wants me to be All Elite. Well here I am. You know me. The Man of the Hour, Lio Rush. But you can also call me LBO Lio, because I’m a businessman.” But what is an LBO? It stands for “Leverage Buy Out.” Lio borrows money against companies that need a little guidance. Lio’s the capital, he runs the ship, he makes profit for himself and for the companies, then uses that profit to pay off loans and make sure he and his are straight. That’s true success and wealth. Lio has the keys, it just takes some risk, Rush, repeat. Lio promises it’ll work here, because he’s done it before. Will this investment have big returns for both Lio and AEW?

FTR speaks.

Dax Harwood says his daddy always told him, “Son, excuses are just crutches for the week and the untalented. You ain’t weak and you ain’t untalented.” Daddy Harwood was right, but this might be an excuse. FTR lost themselves on the fact Cash Wheeler almost lost his life, and FTR lost themselves on the fact they wanted to embarrass Darby & Sting. But tonight, with the greatest mind in tag team wrestling steering FTR’s ship, they are revitalized, rejuvenated and refocused. And that is very bad news for everyone else in AEW, but very good news for FTR and The Pinnacle. #TopGuys OUT.

Dan Lambert and The Men of the Year are in the ring.

He wants to hear from Chris Jericho and see what’s on his mind. But oh wait, Jorge Masvidal’s knee is in Jericho’s mind and now Jericho is at the plastic surgeon’s office, trying to get it removed. But if the fans could shut up and show respect to their elders for once, Lambert will give Jericho a compliment. Jericho’s had one of the greatest careers in this business. And the greatest was taking a floundering start-up promotion stuck in poor booking decisions and recruiting skinny acrobats, putting it on his shoulder, and injected it with rocket fuel to become the hottest promotion in decades.

But not withstanding the series of unfortunate events, the story has an even happier ending than “a Millennial’s night alone in their mom’s basement, if you know what I mean.” Judging from the look of the supposed men in this crowd, they know what he means. As fate would have it, Chris Jericho decided to come out and confront The Men of the Year, as well as American Top Team, “and it was that decision that brought his illustrious career to an end. We bashed his brains into scrambled eggs at Rampage. He will never wrestle again. There will be no more Fozzy records. His earning potential right now is that same as yours: ZERO.”

American Top Team chopped off the head of the AEW snake, made Tony Conman’s job a lot more difficult, and best of all, the junior jock riders that want to see the circus will never again swing on the balls of Jericho! Fans tell Lambert to STFU but he’s already done as Scorpio takes the mic. He tells the fans to shut up, and says about a year ago, he stood in the ring and looked right in the camera and asked, “Are you paying attention?” Scorpio was one of the first champions in AEW! He’s had one of the best winning percentages since DAY ONE. Not that long ago, he climbed the ladder, “grabbed the giant Sonic ring, and become the Face of the Revolution, and it still wasn’t good enough!”

Scorpio says one person who was paying attention was Dan Lambert. “He sees what you ignore! He sees Scorpio Sky as a main eventer! Just like Ethan Page!” Ethan says someone NOT paying attention are the idiots in the crowd! Because they look past guys like Ethan & Scorpio! They don’t see the Men of the Year as tough guys? Why? Just cuz they don’t throw up middle fingers? They don’t swear? They don’t paint their faces? They don’t wear faux leather? The fans think that all makes someone tough? Y’know what’s tough? Two black belts in martial arts! Never being pinned or submitted in AEW!

Ethan is overlooked by not having action figures, show posters or a part in the show intro! But Ethan isn’t going overlooked and neither is Scorpio! Ethan has the best smile in pro-wrestling, the tightest pecs in the game, dresses like a champ, talks like a champ and walks like a champ! And now, he rolls with champions! American Top Team, Men of the Year, they’re THE top team! Strong words but will they back it all up from here on out?

Hikaru Shida speaks.

“AEW Dynamite’s second anniversary. In these two years, many things have happened. Moving to America, the women’s tournament in Japan, and being the longest reigning champion in AEW.” But now, Shida is after another great honor: first woman to 50 wins!

Serena Deeb applauds Shida’s win-loss record, but that 50th win won’t mean anything if it isn’t against her, the Woman of 1000 Holds. Shida is excited to face one of the wrestlers she respects most, but Serena says that she invites Shida to the Deeb Dojo. Shida vows to walk out of AEW’s second anniversary the winner against the best technical wrestler in the world. Will the Full Metal Warrior get the big 5-0 as Dynamite turns 2?

Anna Jay & Tay Conti VS Penelope Ford & The Bunny!

Two strong duos in the AEW Women’s Division are going to finally settle things, not just for Dark Order VS HFO but for themselves! Will #TayJay knockout the Superbad Girl and her even badder buddy? Or will the HFO at least get one winner’s purse for the week?

Teams don’t even sort out as Tay & Jay rush the ring. Ford & Bunny charge back but Tay & Jay avoid the haymakers to trip them up! Tay & Jay drag Ford & Bunny out, Tay ROCKS Ford with a right while Jay RAMS Bunny into steel steps! Tay snap suplexes Ford to the floor while Jay puts Bunny in the ring. The bell rings, Jay rains down fists on Bunny but Bunny shoves her away. Jay hits back then whips Bunny into the corner for a back elbow. Tag to Tay, they double whip Bunny and then double elbow her down! Cover, TWO! Conti grounds ‘n’ pounds but Ford kicks her down. Jay gets in, Ford ROCKS her with a right, but Conti spins Ford around for drop sayanagi after drop sayanagi!

Tay whips Ford to an open corner, tags Jay, and fans fire up! Tay & Jay each run to a corner, HEEL KICK for Bunny and PUMP KICK for Ford! Tay & Jay switch to do it again, but Bunny dodges and Tay tumbles to the outside! Jay gets distracted but Ford hits a BACKSTABBER! Feed to Bunny’s HOTSHOT, then Bunny sets Jay on the corner. Forearm to Ford’s TRIANGLE KNEE DROP! Fans rally and duel as AEW goes picture in picture.

Ford drags Jay in to rain down forearms, then she drags Jay over to ropes. Ford chokes Jay, thrashes her around but lets off as the ref counts. Ford turns Jay around for a HOTSHOT! Cover, TWO! Ford drags Jay over and tags in Bunny. They mug Jay and Bunny CLAWS Jay’s back! Bunny taunts Conti and distracts the ref so Ford can choke Jay! Bunny then runs in to STOMP Jay down. The bad girls get away with that one as Bunny brings Jay up and around. Bunny whips Jay into the corner again, tags in Ford, then Ford bump Jay off buckles. Ford goes corner to corner to handspring back elbow! Ford goes side to side, Bunny tags in and Ford BOOTS Jay down!

Bunny runs in, SLIDING D! Cover, TWO! Bunny sighs but sits Jay up to KICK her in the back. Bunny wraps on a chinlock and grinds Jay down as AEW goes to break.

AEW returns and both women are down! Bunny and Jay crawl, hot tags to Ford and Conti! Conti rallies with big clotheslines and fans fire up as she SUPERKICKS! Conti spins Ford, goes up and up and leaps to CROSSBODY! Conti drags Ford up, tags Jay and they double snap suplex! Cover, Bunny breaks it! Conti storms in but Bunny throws her out! Jay staggers up, Ford CLUBS her while Bunny CLUBS and KICKS Conti around. Jay swings on Ford but Ford dodges by going Matrix, and springs up to get a STUNNER! Ford fireman’s carries for a GUT BUSTER DROP! Cover, TWO!! Jay survives and Ford is frustrated but fans fire up.

Ford puts Jay in a drop zone, climbs up top, and MOONSAULTS, but FLOPS as Jay moves! Bunny rushes in but Conti drags her back out! Spin and TAY K O!! Jay gets Ford up and wrenches, DANGEROUS JAY KICK, to the QUEENSLAYER!! Ford drops down and fades out, #TayJay wins!!

Winners: Tay Conti & Anna Jay, by submission

Retribution and another celebration for the Dark Order in Brodie Lee Country! Will AEW soon #JoinDarkOrder in all the divisions?

AEW looks closer at the coming Women’s Triple Threat.

Mark Sterling says that AEW is finally giving #JadeBrand the challenge she’s been asking for. This Friday on Rampage, Thunder Rosa AND Nyla Rose get their asses beat! But Thunder Rosa reminds us that in a Triple Threat, anything goes. There are no disqualifications, so “you are in store for a major party, ladies!” But Nyla tells Jade and Rosa not to worry. Their pain will be her pleasure! Vickie Guerrero laughs but will she be crying when the Native Beast gets caught by another hungry alpha female?

MJF is here!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, with Wardlow right behind him, heads to the ring and already has a mic. “Cut my music, cut my music.” He’s from upstate, these lowlifes should pipe down. He wants this company to be successful and is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen, so long as he is given what he deserves. MJF will get to that, but first, “we are on the precipice of something truly spectacular. This company keeps building more and more momentum, and whether I care to admit it or not, there are a handful of young men who have been here since the beginning who will keep pushing this company forward for the next couple of decades.”

Four men he thinks of exactly, like four pillars. Jungle Boy Jack Perry, MJF beat him. Sammy Guevara, MJF beat him. Darby Allin, blah blah blah whatever, and then the strongest pillar of all, the one who had the first match at All In, the first match in the history of AEW, and the youngest athlete to ever main event an AEW PPV. This pillar is a TWO-TIME Dynamite Diamond Ring Champion, the one who is better than you and you know it, MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN. MJF brings all of this up because without him, AEW ain’t s*it! He is the past, present and future of AEW, and that is why HE deserves to be AEW World Champion!!

PIPE DOWN, ROCHESTER! “Tony Khan, we’re real good friends, I love you. As a matter of fact, out of all the Khans in professional wrestling, you’re easily in my top two. However, if you don’t start giving me the opportunities I deserve, well I have other friends from back in the day…” Fans chant for “CM Punk! CM Punk!” and MJF is amused. But speaking of those friends, MJF could go back to MLW and call on BRUCE PRITCHARD. And Brucy’s on speed dial. But wait, here comes that third pillar, DARBY ALLIN! The Relentless One already got his workout in so he’s going to the ring to get in MJF’s face!

MJF wants everyone to hold on and says, “Well if it isn’t freaky deeky Darby! Listen up, buddy. As much as I love the whole school shooter, mime on a surfboard routine, not a huge fan of you interrupting me.” But MJF is sure as to why: Darby is jealous! But let MJF explain something to ol’ Darbarino, the Darbinator, “there is nothing wrong with being the second best guy.” Some of the best number two guys are incredible! Lou Gehrig, Scotty Pippin, and STING! Now MJF, he’s more like Wayne Gretzky, Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan. Darby asks if MJF is done talking. MJF keeps saying he’ll leave if he doesn’t get what he wants, so just GO! No one would care!

Darby says that he is AEW 4 Life until DEATH. How can MJF be the number one pillar when Darby’s been the one to win a title? Oh okay okay! Sick burn, Darb! But as much as MJF loves Darby’s Batman voice… MJF will back off because he does respect Darby for being straightedge. But do people know why Darby’s straightedge? Because when Darby was but a wee little pup, he’d decided to hop in the car with his drunken, sloppy, alcoholic uncle. And they went for a joyride, but they got into an accident. Darby’s uncle died that night, didn’t he? And that’s a travesty, but do you know why? Fans tell MJF he’s an A-Hole as MJF says “That night, the wrong man died!”

MJF eggs Darby on to hit him, but Darby instead keeps his cool and says no. He won’t hit MJF, because MJF will not break him. If MJF has anything else, now’s the time to keep talking. Darby dares MJF to keep talking. Oh, MJF isn’t gonna break Darby? Fine. They’re done. MJF goes out of the ring, Wardlow follows after. Darby just stares MJF down, but this fight has only just begun. Will Darby be the one to break MJF’s streak of singles victories?

Bryan Danielson has his Rampage opponent!

Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks steps up to his challenge! Will it be a one man Superkick Party? Or will Bryan prove that he’s got The Elite’s number?

The Dynamite Anniversary just got even bigger!

The Elite WILL face their hunters as it will be an 8 Man Tag! Adam Cole, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega take on Bryan Danielson, Christian Cage and Jurassic Express! Will the American Dragon earn his way to that 1v1 rematch he wants with Omega? Or will the Cleaner clear him out of the way once and for all?

And on top of that, it is the return of the Casino Ladder Match! Who climbs up to bring down a golden opportunity for the AEW World Championship?

AEW hears from Sammy Guevara and Miro.

Sammy says, “I knew Fuego wanted to challenge Miro. I had no idea he was gonna put his f***ing car on the line.” Miro adds, “He kept coming back for more, betting his car, betting his wife, betting his apartment. Maybe he’s got a gambling problem, but that’s not my business.” Sammy knows Miro is over 6 feet, at least 250 pounds of all muscle and built like a Greek god. But friendship with Fuego aside, he’s been working for a title his whole career. Sammy used to do this in his backyard for nobody and nothing! His best friend may’ve lost the car, but Sammy can buy him a new one when they celebrate! That TNT Championship showdown is in the main event, after the break!

AEW TNT Championship: Miro VS Sammy Guevara!

We just heard from both men but now we see who backs words with action! Will the Redeemer “forgive” the Spanish God through a baptism by fire? Or will Sammy disillusion Miro and take that title for his own?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and only one can reign on high!

Fans are fired up as Miro paces and Sammy watches him closely. Sammy rushes in but Miro avoids the flying knee with ease. They circle, Sammy tries again but Miro SWATS him out of the air! Miro drops an elbow, then stomps Sammy before dragging him up and knocking him back down! Miro hauls Sammy up in a dead lift suplex! Fans are torn as Miro swaggers about. Miro stomps Sammy’s legs, clubs him on the shoulders, then stands him up to CLUB him in the back! Sammy crawls, Miro stalks up and looms over him. Fans duel as Miro stands Sammy up and swings. Sammy counter punches, throws forearms, then runs, but into a BIG elbow! Cover, ONE!!

Miro watches Sammy closely, brings him back up and takes the necklace up to choke Sammy! The ref counts, Miro lets off and the chain has broken. Miro takes the necklace, throws it away, then stands Sammy up to scoop. Sammy slips out, dodges and runs in to CROSSBODY himself and Miro out of the ring! Both men hit the floor and the ring count begins. Sammy POSTS Miro, CLUBS him, but Miro shoves him away. Miro runs in but is sent into steps! Sammy hurries to bump Miro off the steps, then he climbs up to SMACK Miro off them again! Sammy puts Miro in at 6 of 10, climbs up the corner and aims, SHOOTING STAR into Miro’s arms!!

Miro gets Sammy back up to OVERHEAD Belly2Belly him away! Fans are thunderous as AEW goes picture in picture!

Miro takes his time to gloat at the corners, but he doesn’t seem tog et a good enough reception. He finds the right one and stands up tall to soak up cheers and jeers. Miro then goes back to Sammy where he fell, drags him up and throws body shots and KICKS. Sammy falls over and Miro seems a bit disappointed. Miro goes out to walk around and cool off. Miro doesn’t want the fans to cheer, but Sammy goes out to CLOBBER him! Sammy POSTS Miro again, hobbles after him and CLUBS him, but Miro scoops Sammy to FALL AWAY SLAM! Sammy flounders and Miro storms over to stand on his head! The fans boo but Miro grinds his boot into Sammy’s face.

Miro drags Sammy back up, SLAPS him around, but Sammy fires forearms in return! Sammy CHOPS, forearms, repeat, but Miro POSTS him! Sammy flounders into the ring, Miro goes in to cover, TWO! Miro stalks Sammy, almost taunting him with his grin, and then wraps on a chinlock. Sammy endures as Miro squeezes tight and AEW returns to single picture. Fans rally up, Miro lets off to drive in elbow after elbow into Sammy’s shoulders, then he puts the chinlock back on. Miro grinds Sammy into the mat but fans still rally up behind him. Sammy fights back up and JAWBREAKERS free! Miro staggers but he whips Sammy to a corner.

Miro runs in but Sammy dodges and leaps, but into a GERMAN SUPLEX! Miro reaches up to the sky to gather up power, and he stands Sammy up to short arm LARIAT! Miro encourages fans to get louder as he stands Sammy up again. Short arm LARIAT! Sammy flounders around, fans want “One More Time!” Miro likes the sound of that and encourages them to get louder. Miro then stands Sammy up, runs, but into a SPANISH FLY!! Sammy fires up now and fans join him! Sammy aims and SUPERKICKS! Miro sits up but Sammy aims again, RUNNING KNEE! Sammy keeps Miro reeling, he runs in again but Miro gets around! GERMAN SUPLEX, but Sammy lands on his feet!

Miro runs in at Sammy but Sammy dodges, Miro goes up and over then to the floor! Miro flounders up now, Sammy builds speed to FLY over the corner!! Direct hit and fans lose their minds! Sammy gets Miro up, puts him into the ring then hurries up top! But Miro gets up so Sammy leaps over! Sammy leaps in, into a SWINGING URENAGE! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and frustrates Miro! “This is Awesome!” but Miro is upset. Miro storms around, aims from a corner and stomps the mat. Miro wants Sammy to stand, and Sammy slowly rises. BEST KICK misses and Sammy KNEES Miro in the corner! Sammy KNEES Miro again, then runs in to RAM Miro and GAMANGIRI!

Sammy goes up as Miro staggers. Sammy throws down hands but Miro throws them back! Miro climbs up to join Sammy, but Sammy fights back with body shots and forearms! Sammy headbutts Miro down, then leaps to FLYING CUTTER!! Sammy slashes the throat, torture racks but Miro is too big for Sammy! Miro shoves Sammy away to BEST KICK! Cover, TWO!?! Sammy survives and Miro is furious! Miro shouts, “GAME! O-” But Sammy flops out of the ring! Miro takes his rage out on a corner turnbuckle pad! And then another in another corner! The ref reprimands but Miro keeps pulling the top buckles.

But here comes Fuego! Fuego won’t let Miro take anymore pads away, but Miro DECKS him! Sammy returns, KNEE! Miro staggers into a bare buckle!!Sammy then gets Miro for a TORNADO DDT!!! Fuego’s spirit is helping Sammy! TORTURE RACK TO GO TO HOSPITAL!! Sammy hurries up top! SAMMY 630!! Cover, SAMMY WINS!!

Winner: Sammy Guevara, by pinfall (NEW AEW TNT Champion)

The Spanish God dethrones the false prophet! Brodie Lee would surely be proud of Sammy taking up the belt he loved so much! Negative One, Alan Angels, even Dante Martin, Capt. Shawn Dean, Matt Sydal and the rest of the Dark Order run out to celebrate with Sammy! Will this be a shining new era for AEW?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for AEW, especially with it being so much in honor of Jon Huber/Brodie Lee. As such, I really love that it was the moment The Dark Order got over their dysfunction as a faction in what was already a really exciting and fun 16 Man Tag. Also I think AEW just set the record for biggest tag match on number of participants. But I do wish we just went right into #TayJay VS Ford & Bunny. Yes, Men of the Year had a great promo to restate things they said from a Grand Slam backstage promo they had, but I do not need Dan Lambert making things gross with the tired cliché of being the bully saying nerds are in basements jackin’ it. We just needed Inner Circle VS Men of the Year, not an awful pro-wrestling VS MMA invasion crossover fusion.

Awesome stuff from Cole VS Jungle Boy to open, though. And we got more great stuff as the enemies of The Elite close in. Bryan VS Nick Jackson is going to be great for Rampage, the 8 Man at the Anniversary is going to be awesome, but somehow, someway, this has to lead to Omega VS Bryan at Full Gear. Lucha Brothers being called out by El Idolo and Jose was pretty good stuff, and I definitely like that we’re getting more AAA X AEW. Honestly, any AAA tag team could show up and it’s going to be a great match and great exposure for American audiences to AAA’s talent.

We got a great match out of Cody & Johnson VS Sydal & Dante, and I like that Johnson was the one taking charge at the end since Cody has to “get his head right.” I am really shocked that Arn went that far with his promo but hey, fans seemed into it. Cody’s got a crisis of confidence coming, but I feel like it should’ve been him getting mad at Arn and Johnson. Cody can bring up how hectic his life is being new father and EVP, among other things, so of course he’d struggle in the ring. It’d be understandable but also selfish, making for a good dynamic of Heel and Face for a Tweener Cody we haven’t seen in awhile. Also, it plugs Rhodes to the Top which is right up AEW’s alley.

Lio Rush delivered his promo well, but is he really going to be AEW’s stonks man like NXT has Cameron Grimes? Shida VS Deeb is going to be killer for the Anniversary, and I fully expect Shida to get her 50th for that night to make it very historic. FTR gave a good promo, in that it was mostly Dax giving that promo, but he really is a strong talker. I’m still sensing Santana & Ortiz will get in on the tag title scene first but FTR will still stay strong in some way to stay near the top five. We got a good promo from Ruby and Britt, much in the way Miro and Eddie Kingston had a promo to kinda cap off their feud. Ruby could feud with quite a few midcard women and stay strong in her own right.

MJF had another powerful promo, because for one, he definitely has a point about the AEW Four Pillars. Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin and MJF are definitely top choices in their generation and just about the entire roster or any roster. And MJF mentioning Darby, I had a feeling they would be up next for each other. But DAMN, they’re really letting MJF go after some personal territory. Moxley, Kingston & Darby had a really fun match with Greene & Bear Country but we’re definitely going to get some killer stuff out of MJF and Darby, maybe even Sting and Wardlow on the side. The feud with the Pinnacle could even bring Moxley and Kingston along so that they go after FTR in a real great bunch of scraps.

And of course, that TNT Championship match was awesome stuff. I figured Fuego would get involved somehow but I am genuinely surprised Sammy won tonight. I didn’t think Miro was going to lose until he’d cleared out a few more names, but what a night to make history when it comes to the title Brodie Lee helped pump up with his feud against Cody Rhodes. Of course there is “corporate synergy” forcing us to watch the Rhodes to the Top premiere, with Sammy Guevara’s celebratory promo happening during a commercial break for Cody’s reality show. Either way, this is definitely quite the great shocker, and I would love to see where they go for this towards Full Gear.

My Score: 9.3/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us to Dynamite in Knoxville, Tennessee, then welcomes out the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! The fans fire up as Ospreay makes his way to the ring, and then Schiavone says Ospreay asked for this face-to-face, so here is… KENNY OMEGA! The fans cheer again as now The Best Bout Machine makes his way out here! And he gets a lot of pyro! Omega joins Ospreay and Schiavone in the ring, the fans chant for “KENNY! KENNY!” Schiavone says it is his honor to be in the ring with two of the greats. Ospreay wanted to have this talk, so the floor is his. Ospreay tells Kenny thanks for coming out to join him here. And glad he’s not dead.

Ospreay can’t remember the last time they were in the same ring and not throwing punches at each other, but a lot has changed since Omega’s been away. Ospreay has got nothing to do with the Don Callis Family, and has been trying to change AEW from within. Ospreay didn’t like how Callis was doing business, so he is doing everything in his power to stop it. And to be honest, Omega’s come back at a really bad time. Moxley holds the world title hostage, Ospreay has been trying to get after them, but he keeps running into the Callis Family, and he can’t do this on his own anymore. The fans like where this is going.

Ospreay knows he and Omega have had their differences, but- Omega takes the mic for himself. “Stop. Stop. You said you didn’t remember the last time we faced each other in a ring? Well, Will, let me remind you. It was Forbidden Door. And in that match, not only did you drop me on my head and almost break my neck, but you stabbed me in the head with a screwdriver, the same one that Don had used months before. As far as I’m concerned, that makes you no better than him. And why did you do it, Will? Why? All because you were trying to prove that you were the best. You were trying to prove that you were better than me.

“Well, Will, not only did I not believe you were better than me back then, but I sure as hell don’ believe you’re better than me now. And it took diverticulitis to almost kill me for people to even know that you existed. So now that I’m back, Will, now that I’m back… Congratulations on being number two, because number one is standing right here in front of you. So if you’re here to apologize and ask for my help, the answer is no chance in hell. Because I will never trust someone like you, bruv!” Ospreay gets in Omega’s face and tells him, “Listen here, you little p*ick!” Ospreay makes sure Omega doesn’t look away, but then here comes Don Callis himself.

Omega and Ospreay are still mad with each other but Callis says, “Well look at these two prima donnas!” But like before, Omega rushes him at the ramp! The fans cheer, but here comes Konosuke Takeshita! The Alpha brawls with Omega to keep Callis safe! Ospreay is conflicted, but then Kyle Fletcher attacks Omega! Ospreay hates Kyle more than he does Omega, so he goes after the Protostar! The fans fire up as the brawl just gets bigger! Ospreay puts Kyle in the ring, ducks ‘n’ dodge shim, then RAN- NO! Kyle stops that to pop Ospreay up! But Ospreay pops free, dodges, and handsprings! NEURALIZER KICK!

The fans fire up as Ospreay fires off on Kyle in a corner! But Konosuke drags Ospreay down! ALPHA ELBOW! But Omega gets Konosuke! SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! Omega fires up and the Terminator Drums begin! Omega builds speed, but Kyle SUPERKICKS him down! The fans boo while Kyle seethes. Kyle drags Omega up to toss him out, but fans tell off Callis. Kyle BOOTS Ospreay over railing! Callis and Konosuke mug Omega! Kyle grins, and he uses a chair to LAUNCH himself into Ospreay! The fans boo while Kyle stands Ospreay up, and whips him, only for Ospreay to reverse! Kyle is sent into barriers and Ospreay beats Kyle down!

But wait, the rest of the family is here! Lance Archer goes after Ospreay! The fans boo but the Murderhawk hauls Ospreay up for a CHOKE- NO, Ospreay goes to the railing! Ospreay fires hands, but Archer LOW BLOWS! Then he DECKS Ospreay into the upper deck! The fans boo as Archer climbs up with ease, but Ospreay fires hands in return! Archer CLUBS Ospreay, they go up into the crowd, and cameras do their best to find where they went! They go down the stairs at the back! Brian Cage has appeared to beat up Omega, and Archer sends Ospreay into the merchandise stands! But Omega fires hands on Cage, and on Konosuke!

Archer CHUCKS a table, Ospreay dodges it! Ospreay ROCKS Archer, fires more shots, but Archer ROCKS Ospreay in return! Archer slides Ospreay along the merch table like it’s a bar fight! Cage CLUBS Omega, Archer drags Ospreay up, but Omega throws trash cans at the others! Omega CLUBS away on Archer, but Archer just grabs him now! But Ospreay and Omega work together! They mug Archer, then DOUBLE SUPLEX him through the tables! The fans are thunderous, but then Cage returns! He CHUCKS a trash can into Omega’s face! Cage, Konosuke and Kyle mug Ospreay and Omega 3v2 while Callis checks Archer.

The brawl goes around the back side of the bleachers, Konosuke puts Omega in a SLEEPER while Kyle and Cage CHOKE Ospreay! Omega breaks free, but Konosuke CLAWS Omega’s eyes! Konosuke reels Omega in, but Omega fights free of the suplex! Konosuke ROCKS Omega again, but now security has appeared! The brawling keeps going, but Ospreay breaks free to ROCK Cage and ROCK Kyle! Ospreay runs up, but Kyle ALLEY-OOPS him, only for Ospreay to grab the railing up above! Ospreay kicks Kyle away, then wait! Omega is climbing the lighting truss! They coordinate, and they DOUBLE ARIHARA MOONSAULT onto the Don Callis Family!!

The fans are losing their minds as Omega and Ospreay stand together! They climb up the truss so they can see Callis as he cowers on stage! Omega has a mic again, and he tells Callis, “We saw what you did to your boys! You saw what we did to your boys! Don Callis, the next time we get a chance, it’s gonna be you we put six feet down under! And speaking of down under, oh boy do I have an idea. Will, you wanted an apology? Maybe it’s me that should apologize. I should’ve trusted you from the beginning. So what do you say, Will? What do you say, people? Let’s restore that feeling we were looking for, in Brisbane, Australia!

“Grand Slam is gonna be me and Will against the hometown boy~, Kyle Fletcher, and Takeshita. Oh yeah, Takeshita, my little young boy! Takeshita & Fletcher, Ospreay & Omega, Australia, LET’S GO!!” The fans love that! Omega says it has been awhile, but let’s say it together, shall we? Goodbye, MWAH! And good, night, BANG!! Now hit his music, cuz he’s scared of heights. The music plays, Ospreay & Omega climb down, but will they tear the Callis Family down once and for all?

The Death Riders speak.

Jon Moxley says, “Tonight, we bring you AEW in Knoxville, Tennessee. The elite, the best of the best, we bring you Pac in the main event. Adam Copeland went to sleep in 2011, woke up in 2025, in a world where he doesn’t belong, in a world that he doesn’t understand. Where the animals are bigger, faster, stronger, meaner, and smarter. But there are plenty of weak, pathetic creatures around here, and we’d be glad to just throw your carcass on top of the pile, Adam. Adam Copeland’s neck is handing on by a thread, man. Bryan Danielson’s neck was hanging on by a thread, too. I finished the job for him. Darby Allin had a death wish for his career. I gave it to him.

“What I’m saying, Cope, is that maybe the next time you go to the doctor, you get some bad news. Maybe your next doctor’s visit is a worse case scenario. And in that case, I won’t lose even a little bit of sleep over it. I don’t sleep much, anyway, I don’t have time to sleep. I don’t have time for relics from the past, there’s too much work to do. We’re building a future.” Moxley leads the way out, will this be the last night AEW goes Rated R?

Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy won these titles after putting it all on the line against The Young Bucks, but now they might have to do that all over again in this title defense. Winners: The Hurt Syndicate, by pinfall (NEW AEW Tag Team Champions)

They certainly hurt people! They just crashed the party, crushed the party, and now they have the gold! Will nothing stop the Hurt Syndicate from owning AEW?

Mariah May speaks.

“I am the most disrespected champion in AEW history. I have raised this title to a level it had never seen before. Every match, every moment, every massacre. And I made it all look so good! And how does this company repay me? By enabling a deranged woman, for a second time. This is what you have for your champion? A woman I played like a dysfunctional fiddle and beat without blinking an eye? Fine. Let’s play your game, and I will scramble her shallow brain even worse than I did the first time! And when she’s gasping for air whilst I’m grasping my gold, every fan and every person in AEW will realize one thing: You don’t deserve me! Toni Storm? I can’t wait to ‘meet’ you.”

Backstage interview with Toni Storm.

Renee Paquette is with said challenger, and says this Saturday Night Collision, Toni will meet Mariah face-to-face ahead of their AEW Women’s Championship match at Grand Slam: Australia. What does Toni anticipate will happen? Toni says she’s just so nervous and excited! She doesn’t know what she’s gonna say. Harley Cameron walks in and says yes! Excellent! Harley says from “one non-quirky Australian to another,” she just wants to wish her good luck. Toni says there’s no reason Harley can’t wrestle in Australia, too! Really? Yeah!

Toni knows people think she’s a bit of a Bogan, but mate, they put on one hell of a match for two Sheilas fat assing around in a couple of budgie smugglers, don’t you think? And then Harley busted out the guitar, Toni was like, “Good on ya!” Harley says cheers, mate! She admits, when she first met Toni, she thought Toni was a bit of a neg, but Toni sure had one bloody ripper of a show! Good on ya! That’s the type o’ Sheila she’d do a shoey with! Toni says, “See you in Australia.” Harley says yeah, see you in Australia! The Aussies are bonding, but will the Homecoming in Jacksonville go smoothly? Or will The Glamour be spewin’ (real mad) on Collision?

Backstage interview with Jeff Jarrett.

Alex Marvez is with Double J and brings up the heinous things MJF had to say. Before Marvez can ask more about that, Karen steps in and wants a minute with Jeff. Marvez steps aside and Karen wants him to remember what they talked about. Last week, getting down in the mud with MJF, that is not who Jeff is anymore. Karen didn’t like it, she was upset by all that, and it reminded her- He knows, he knows. He gives her a kiss on the forehead, then heads to the ring! The fans cheer for The Last Outlaw, and he puts his guitar aside so he can get the mic. “What’s up, Knoxville?” The fans cheer and Jarrett says it is great to be back in the Volunteer State!

Jarrett was driving up the I-40 and gathering his thoughts, figuring out how he’d address things from last week, another fellow Tennessean came to mind. One of his greatest mentors, none other than The King, Jerry Lawler! The fans are a bit torn on that name, but Jarrett brings up a tag match early in his career. Jarrett was on right before Lawler, and Lawler was watching that match. And for the better part of 30 minutes, these two guys candidly beat Jarrett’s ass. But not only physically but verbally. As Jarrett was making his last ditch effort throwing some haymakers, he threw some verbal jabs himself.

As Jarrett was returning to his dressing room, right there was The King. He shut the door and got in Jarrett’s face. Lawler told Jarrett, “What the hell are you thinking out there? Don’t ever get in the gutter with your opponent.” Jarrett will just say this: Sometimes, it’s great to come back home to remember who you are. The fans cheer that! Jarrett tells MJF that he will find out exactly who The Last Outlaw is! “Max, we’re gonna settle this Southern style. Somehow, somewhere, some place. No lights, no camera. As we say around here in Knoxville, I’m gonna take you out to the woodshed and beat your ass!”

The fans cheer, and Jarrett says enough about the one hit wonder! Let’s get back tot he fans! Because the fans inspired Jarrett, gave him that juice, to get in the Owen Hart Cup last year. And let’s get real, the fans have given Jarrett a gift. You ask what that gift is, and well, that gift is of a 57-year-old man believing in himself that he can become the AEW World Heavyweight Champion! The fans cheer that! So then, let’s get to business. AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley…! Let’s get out here and talk. The fans are surprised Double J is calling out The Maniac, but here come The Death Riders!

Specifically, CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI slips into the ring! He spins Jarrett around, and he UPPERCUTS Jarrett right off his feet! The Swiss Superman grabs the mic. Claudio tells Jarrett, “Nobody gets to Jon Moxley without getting through me first. Let me give you one piece of advice, Outlaw. Stay out of our business.” Claudio leaves Jarrett behind, and he even punts the AEW mic box into the crowd. But Jarrett grabs another mic to tell Claudio, “Turn your ass around! You know me better than this. You’re gonna have to kill me to stop me!” The fans fire up as Jarrett stands back up.

Jarrett says Mox is his target, so Claudio, how about this? If Jarrett beats Claudio next week, he gets that title shot! Claudio says, “Beating you lifeless? An interesting proposition. See you next week.” Jarrett says it’s on! It’s on in Huntsville, Alabama! Can The Last Outlaw make it through Moxley’s “emissary” so that he can go right for the king?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS AR Fox!

The Most Dangerous Man in AEW has put The One & Only Ricochet on notice, but it seems he has someone else from his past to deal with first. Will Swerve bury his past so he can focus on his future? Or will Swerve’s House soon belong to the Whole Fox’n Show?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Fox and Swerve circle, then they feel things out. Swerve dodges a boot to headlock, but Fox fires body shots. Swerve CLUBS Fox, the forearms start flying, then Fox kicks low. Fox suplexes, Swerve fights that to suplex! Fox fights that, they both fight for suplex control, and then Fox ends up on the apron! Swerve blocks a shot to ELBOW Fox down! Swerve then slingshots up and out, to then MOONSAULT onto Fox! The fans fire up while Swerve stands over Fox. Swerve drags Fox up and into the ring. Swerve goes up the corner while Fox sits up, FLYING- NO, Fox BOOTS the uppercut away!

Wait, picture in picture lets us know that Ricochet is in the building, golden scissors in his lapel pocket! Where’s he headed? Fox CLUBS Swerve, then wraps an arm around the ropes. Fox KICKS the rope to jam the arm, then he CLUBS away on the shoulder. Fox runs, but Swerve follows and runs Fox over! The fans fire up while Fox flounders. Swerve grabs legs, spins Fox around, and gator rolls Fox to deadlift suplex! The fans cheer on “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Swerve seethes, even as Nana keeps the chants going. Swerve stalks Fox to a corner, then ROCKS him! Swerve digs his boot in, the ref counts, but Swerve steps off to stand Fox up. Swerve turns Fox for a NECKBREAKER! Swerve holds on, drags Fox back up, and hits another NECKBREAKER! Swerve then drags Fox up and puts him through ropes. Swerve brings Fox out and turns him again, for a DRAPING NECKBREAKER! Swerve completes a vicious take on the Three Amigos, then covers, TWO! Fox survives and Swerve is annoyed, but Swerve also knows his old rival is just that tough.

Swerve stalks Fox to ropes, and he CHOPS! Fox is stinging, but Swerve fireman’s carriers him. Fox grabs ropes, gets himself to the apron, and he HOTSHOTS Swerve away! Fox runs to BASEMENT CUTTER! Fox soaks up cheers and jeers, Nana rallies the fans, but Fox grabs the bad arm to SLAM it on the mat! Swerve goes to a corner, Fox fires body shots and forearms, then bumps him off buckles. Fox hammerlocks Swerve to RAM that shoulder into the buckles! Swerve staggers away, drops to his knees, and Fox soaks up more heat. Fox even scares Nana off! Fox scuffs Swerve, taunts the fans, but Swerve snarls.

Fox scuffs Swerve again, but Swerve stands. Fox BOOTS him down! Fox taunts Swerve, kicks him again, and Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally again but Fox gives more taunting kicks. Swerve stands, blocks a kick, then slips around to scoop and BACKBREAKER! Fox scrambles away while the fans fire up. Swerve storms out after Fox, but Fox scurries back into the ring! Swerve pursues, but Fox catches him in the ropes with a DRAPING DDT! Fox strikes like a Viper and Swerve flops to the floor. The fans boo but Fox goes to the apron, and he uses the corner, MOONSAULT ATTACK! Down goes Swerve!

The fans are torn but Nana is worried as Fox puts Swerve in the ring. Fox slingshots, springboards, and RAN- NO! Swerve hoists Fox up, POWERSLAM! The fans fire up with Swerve and he watches Fox flounder. Swerve runs up to UPPERCUT in the corner! Then he mule kicks, snapmares, and goes up the corner, for the FALLING UPPERCUT! The fans fire up as Swerve hits the Griddy! Swerve then aims as Fox flounders, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” But Ricochet runs up with the scissors!! Swerve dodges, then he swings on Ricochet! Ricochet runs away, laughing at Swerve, but Nana has a pipe! Pipe beats scissors, boy!

Ricochet dares Nana to come get him, but Fox BOOTS Swerve in the corner! Fox puts Swerve up top, then goes up, ARABIAN PRESS FLY!! Cover, TWO!! Fox is furious and he goes up, up, and 450 FLOPS as Swerve moves! Swerve hurries to stand Fox up! Half nelson and BIG PRESS- NO, Fox victory rolls through! TWO!! Swerve escapes, but Fox goes Matrix! But Swerve rebounds and somersaults, FLATLINER! And then the HOUSE CALL!! Swerve isn’t done, he’s going up top again! KILL STOMPS!! Cover, Swerve wins!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

Ricochet tried to ruin everything, but he only added fuel to the fire! However, even after all that, Swerve shows Fox respect. They shake hands, but Ricochet grabs a camera to get on the tron! Ricochet tells Swerve, “The risks you take… These are the risks you take when you think it’s okay to bully and embarrass people. Like last week, when everybody though tit was okay to boo me and take away my time to speak whenever I got something to say. But that’s okay, I’ll give you that one. Because next week, you all will be forced to hear everything that I’ve got to say, and believe me, I’ve got a lot to get off my chest. Ain’t that right, Prince Nana?”

The camera pans over, and Ricochet is holding those scissors to Nana’s throat! Ricochet says he could gut Nana like a fish for what he did last week, thinking he could embarrass him! But Ricochet needs Nana to tell Swerve that this may be his house, but there is a new landlord, and rent is due! Swerve is fuming as he storms to the back! Ricochet laughs as he leaves again, and Nana is able to breathe again. Ricochet says he’s the dangerous one now, but is he really just playing with fire?

The Learning Tree speaks.

Chris Jericho says, “Hi, guys~! Welcome to another New York Minute, coming to you live from Knoxville, right here, nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. But unfortunately this week, we’re a little bit more dour, a little bit more somber, because The Learning Tree lost last week on Maximum Carnage: Collision. We were essentially beaten by The Outrunners and Powerhouse Hobbs, even though we tried to take Will Hobbs out before the match. But we failed at that, didn’t we, Bill?” Big Bill says, “As the Learning Tree always says, ‘Failures are the signposts on the road to success.'” Jericho looks at Bill with disappointment.

Is that really what Bill’s going to say? Is he really comfortable with losing, and then trying to attribute it to a learning moment? Well, learning moments only work if you learn from them! When is Bill going to start using the knowledge Jericho is bestowing upon him!? They lost because of Will Hobbs! So what’s Bill gonna do about it? Bryan Keith also asks what Bill’s gonna do! Bill says “LT” is right. No more New York Minute, and Bill says that he and Hobbs went face to face. Hobbs may have won the match, but he did not beat Bill! And that is because Hobbs can’t beat Bill!

And you wanna know why? Because Big Bill is the biggest and baddest man in this entire company! Hell, the entire industry! So you know what he’s gonna do? Saturday, Jacksonville, Bill is going to find Hobbs! Jericho & Keith nod, will The Redwood crush The Powerhouse?

MJF is here!

But wait, he’s not the one scheduled for a match, is he? He’s certainly not dressed for it. MJF has them cut his music, and then he steps into the ring to tell whoever that is to get out. The fans boo but the guy does as he’s told. MJF tells Jarrett that he wants to say, “from the bottom of my heart, you deserve to give every single wrestling fan an apology after your actions last week. But if anybody deserves an apology more than anybody else, it’s me. Let’s face it, Jeff, when I offered to help you win the AEW World Championship, as long as I was first in line for a world title shot… I didn’t do it because I believe in you! No no no.

“I did it because I thought you would be the easiest to manipulate, and damn sure the easiest to beat.” The fans boo but MJF says the fact Jarrett actually thinks that in the year 2025, that he will be the next AEW World Champion without MJF’s help goes to show that Jarrett’s about as senile as he looks! The fans boo more but MJF tells Jarrett this: If Jarrett isn’t yet, by the time Claudio is done beating him next week, Jarrett will be. MJF knows Jarrett thinks that if he grinds hard enough, if he works hard enough, he’ll earn himself more time in the only sport and occupation Jarrett has ever known and loved.

But Jarrett, MJF is going to tell you the truth: Pro-wrestling doesn’t love Jarrett anymore. These fans don’t even love Jarrett anymore! The fans boo, then they chant, “DOUBLE J! DOUBLE J!” MJF takes off his sunglasses to get serious. The hicks can chant all they want, but it doesn’t change the fact that Jarrett is about to find out the hard way that sometimes, you’re better off making a deal with the devil instead of defying him! MJF drops the mic, soaks up the heat, and clearly isn’t done with The Last Outlaw. But wait! Hangman Page makes his way out here! And he is scheduled for a match.

The Blackhat Cowboy storms into the ring, and he tells MJF to get outta here. MJF says okay, okay, and then he leaves. Hangman is coming off winning that brutal Texas Death Match with Christopher Daniels, will he just keep the violence going?

Hangman Page VS Tyler Shoop!

The bell rings and Hangman BOOTS Tyler Shoop down! Then he stands Shoop up, whips him, and LARIATS him down! Cover, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

Shoop da whoop, that was fast! But Hangman isn’t done as he just hammers away on Tyler’s head! Then he underhooks for ANGEL’S WINGS!! The ref reprimands but Hangman uses Daniels’ finisher on this poor kid! WAIT! Daniels is here!? The Fallen Angel has a mic but also a neck brace. Hangman storms up and asks if he wants to get his ass beat again! Daniels says no, he isn’t here to fight. He never wanted to fight in the first place. Daniels swears, all he ever wanted to do was be a friend. But perhaps he messed that up. Every time he approached Hangman, it was like pouring gasoline on a fire.

Then Hangman attacked Daniels, said what he said, and Daniels let his own ego escalate this to the point where he accepted the most violent match against the most violent man. Daniels does regret that, and he will for the rest of his life. Because after that Texas Death Match, that last Buckshot, all that damage to his neck over the years… Daniels has been advised to never wrestle again. The fans don’t like hearing that, but Daniels says he is here to tell Hangman face to face that Hangman wins. Hangman won Daniels’ last match, so this is goodbye. And sorry. Daniels hopes Hangman can be happy now.

Daniels moves on, and Hangman is rather stunned. He tells the cameraman to get out of his face, what is the Cowboy to do knowing he retired The Fallen Angel?

Mercedes Mone is here!

The CEO is backstage as she tells “Knoxvillllle~! Say hello to your C E O, Four Belts Mone!” Renee Paquette finds Mone and congratulates her on the win at WrestleDynasty. Mone is now also the Rev-Pro Undisputed Women’s Champion! She has four belts in her collection, but from the minute she walked into AEW, she’s been talking about taking things global. She’s done just that, but we’re still early in 2025. What else does she have planned? Mone says Renee is so right. She is a global champion now, having wrestled all over the world! The UK, Japan, and she’ll soon wrestle in Australia! Mone cannot wait to see who gets on the Money Train next.

Wait, that guitar… It’s Harley! Harley sings her hello to Mone, and that if she wants a challenge for Australia, Harley’s here to say G’DAY! Harley is a local, so you know she will not quit! You may know her backstage as the woman with the tiiipping point! Yeah! She’s crazy! A little insane~! Her point is, what she’s getting at, is she’ll right the Mone Train! Feel the wrath! Feel the wrath! Four belts is a little much, it can’t be good for your back. Feel the wrath! Harley will make it plain, she’ll ride the Mone~ Train~! So what does she say? Mone smiles and says Harley, darling, she has wrestled all around the world, fighting the very best!

But Harley, you haven’t even won a match on AEW TV yet! Not this year, last year, or ever. So that’s gonna be a hard “noru!” Now get away from her. Mone leaves, still singing the song, and Renee says it was pretty good. Will Harley turn her fortunes around by getting a win on TV and then facing The CEO?

Julia Hart VS Jamie Hayter!

Speaking of Harley’s losses, she lost to The Princess of the Black Throne, and that match only started because Julia misted her in the face instead of Hayter! Julia and Jamie look to settle things in this rematch, will this be another Hartless victory? Or will Hayter Hit Harder than ever?

The bell rings and both women run up! Hayter BOOTS Julia down! Julia bails out, Hayter pursues, and she brings Julia around the way to THROW into railing! The fans fire up again while Hayter storms up on Julia. Hayter puts Julia in the ring, goes up a corner, and she leaps to MISSILE DROPKICK!

The fans rally, Hayter covers, TWO! Hayter keeps on Julia but Julia JAWBREAKERS free! Julia ROCKS and whips Hayter, then runs up to LARIAT in the corner! Julia goes side to side to ELBOW Hayter! Julia runs again, but into an ELBOW! Hayter goes up, but Julia YANKS her down! Hayter hits buckles, Julia DRIBBLES her off the mat! Cover, TWO! The fans rally again while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Julia stomps Hayter around, CLUBS her, then clamps on a chinlock. Julia grinds Hayter down but Hayter endures. Hayter fights up, fires body shots, and she’s free! Hayter runs, sunset flips, TWO! Julia sits on the cover, TWO! Hayter sunsets again, TWO! Julia SUPERKICKS Hayter down! Julia then puts Hayter on ropes to CHOKE her! The ref counts, Julia stops at 4, and Hayter sputters. Julia drags Hayter up, SCRAPES her face against the ropes, then SCRAPES her face off more ropes! The ref reprimands but Julia fires a forearm. Hayter fires back! The two go forearm for forearm, but Hayter hits harder!

Julia throws Hayter by her hair! Cover, TWO! Hayter is tougher than that, but Julia CLUBS her down! Julia rains down fists from both sides, but Hayter fires elbows! Hayter gets on Julia with a rain of fists! Julia does her best to guard but Hayter stands her up! So Julia throws Hayter by her hair again! And she drops a leg! Cover, TWO! Julia snarls as she clamps onto Hayter with a motorcycle stretch! Julia digs her knee in while she pulls Hayter’s arms back! Hayter endures, fights up, but Julia throws her down again! The ref reprimands but Julia covers, TWO! Julia grows frustrated but she drags Hayter up to put her in a corner.

Julia fires hands, but she lets off as the ref counts. Julia stomps a mudhole, digs her boots into Hayter’s face, then steps off to stand Hayter up. Wrench and STO! Julia puts Hayter in the drop zone and stomps her while Dynamite returns to single picture. Julia then climbs the corner, but Hayter anchors her feet! Julia kicks Hayter away, but Hayter comes back to CHOP BLOCK! Julia sits down on the corner and Hayter CLUBS away! Hayter climbs up, pulls Julia’s hair, and hits a SUPER BACK SUPLEX! Both women are down but the fans fire up! The ref checks, both women are still in this, so a standing count starts.

Hayter and Julia slowly rise, and they stand at 6! The forearms go back and forth, but Hayter gets the edge! The fans rally, Hayter whips, but Julia reverses. Hayter throws Julia by her hair now! And then again! Hayter then gets around to GERMAN SUPLEX! Julia staggers up, into another GERMAN SUPLEX! Julia staggers, into a third GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up while Hayter roars! Hayter pops Julia up for a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Julia survives but Hayter clamps onto a leg! HALF CRAB! And she sits deep on it! Julia endures, reaches out, and claws her way forward! ROPEBREAK!

The fans are torn but the ref counts. Hayter lets go at 4 and stalks Julia. Hayter CLUBS Julia, whips her, and then scoops her! But Julia tilt-o-whirls into an IRON OCTOPUS! Hayter endures while the fans duel, but Hayter powers up to BACKBREAKER! Hayter bends Julia back, but Julia powers free with a hair pull! Cover, TWO!! Julia drags Hayter up again, but Hayter clinches! HAYTBREAKER!! And then the ripcord, HAYTERADE!! Cover, Hayter wins!!

Winner: Jamie Hayter, by pinfall

The rematch is Hayter’s revenge, and we’re tied! When and where will we see these two give us the rubber match? Wait, Hayter gets a mic to tell Julia that time after time, after attempted murder, is she feeling like that tonight? Hayter isn’t one to “butter someone else’s bread,” but she has a very heavy respect for women like Julia who do what they wanna do, no matter what anyone says. Julia moves to the beat of her own drum. Even if it’s spitting that crap in Hayter’s face, or trying to kill her with an arrow. But no matter what, Julia has the people behind her, and two big men standing by her side. Except here she is, all alone, and she’s still “a tough b*tch.”

The fans cheer and Hayter says they’ve each won one. Whenever Julia wants number three, she’s got it! Hayter heads out, when and where will Hayter VS Hart Round 3 happen?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs speaks.

“Hey, Big Bill, word around town is that you plan on lookin’ for ole Powerhouse Hobbs this Saturday on Collision. Well guess what? Jacksonville’s where I got my start, and you don’t have to look for me very hard. Cuz I’ll be waiting for ya in the parking lot.” The challenge was thrown out, will The Redwood fight Hobbs on the streets?

Swerve regroups with Nana backstage.

Swerve is pacing, and he says, “Oh, yeah, Ricochet, you big and you bad. You think you big and bad with those scissors in your hand now, right? Yeah? GOOD! Because that’s what you’re gonna need against the most dangerous man in AEW! Two weeks from now, Atlanta, Georgia, the chase is done! The lion finally gets his hands on that freakin’ rodent! And maybe, just maybe, I catch it a little sooner than that.” Ricochet is pushing all the wrong buttons, is he going to have Swerve blow up even before AEW reaches Atlanta?

The House of Black speaks.

Brody King walks with Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart, as well as his Pitbull, and he says, “For years, we’ve had a voice to guide us. That voice was all but deafening. Now, that voice has gone silent.” Buddy adds, “And we are done living in the shadows.” Julia says, “It’s time to honor ourselves.” No rules, no leaders, no gods or masters. Just… violence! When they bark, they bark together! When and where will these three release the hounds?

That was a brutal battle between Bastard and Rated R Superstar, but that swinging cutter gives Cope the win! But wait, Marina Shafir has commandeered a camera! She films The Death Riders mugging The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express while FTR is forced to watch! Moxley says it’s like he told Cope: it’s a jungle out here. CON-CHAIR-TO for Ricky Morton!! Moxley tells Cope to stay right there, they’ll be right out. The Death Riders go to the ring from the crowd side! Cope realizes he’s all alone with his friends tied up backstage! Moxley and his minions surround the ring, then they storm in! It’s a 3v1 mugging! The fans boo but Pac is back up, so now it’s 4v1!

The neck is the target of every punch and kick, but wait! JAY WHITE is here! The Switchblade wants his pound of flesh, and Yuta runs up! White LARIATS Yuta, then he fires forearms on Claudio! Claudio shoves White, runs up, but White DUMPS him into the crowd! White then gets in the ring, TOSSES Pac, but Moxley kicks White! Moxley says this is what White gets! But White clinches Moxley! YUTA LOW BLOWS WHITE! Just like the Casino Gauntlet! Now White gets beat up 3v1 as Marina joins in! Pac and Claudio return, they drag White back and make him watch as Moxley sits Cope up. Moxley reminds Cope that the neck’s holding on by a thread.

BULLY CHOKE!! Moxley cranks on the neck as hard as he can! Cope is sputtering, turning red, and Claudio keeps White down! The fans boo as Cope can only suffer! Cope is fading out! Moxley lets go and he tells Cope he will break him!! The Death Riders leave Cope behind, their ultimatum being issued. Can no one stop this reign of terror?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for Dynamite, even with some unexpected changes. Tony Khan put on social media that the extreme winter weather made for some travel issues, so we did not get Samoa Joe VS Nick Wayne tonight, that will have to wait for a later time. But even with that, they adjusted well, to where you wouldn’t even think something had changed. The opening segment might’ve gotten more time for that brawl because of Joe VS Wayne no longer happening, but it was still all a very natural move for Omega and Ospreay to be united against The Don Callis Family. We’re already getting word of Omega & Ospreay VS Konosuke & Kyle, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we still got Omega and/or Ospreay against Brian Cage and/or Lance Archer over the next few weeks.

Very good promos to hype Homecoming this Saturday. Mariah referencing Toni being delusional again was good stuff, and I loved how extra Aussie Toni got being around Harley. And clearly Toni inspired Harley as Harley went right up to Mone to challenge her. But Mone also has a good counter point, Harley has to win for once. I don’t even think that’s a “wins and losses matter in AEW” kind of thing, either, that’s just standard pro-wrestling logic. I would think this means Harley either gets a win at Homecoming or some show between now and Grand Slam. Surely Harley will get a match for Grand Slam, and Mone will of course want to be on that card, so it just makes sense.

Very good tag title match, but a shame Private Party’s reign had to end already. There’s an argument to be made that more former WWE guys get over AEW homegrown talent, but this would fit a lot better if Daniel Garcia was still part of the story. Then Garcia would be fending off The Hurt Syndicate as they go for the TNT Championship, with Private Party and even Menard & Parker backing him up. But it isn’t the first odd story pivot TK’s done, and it doesn’t seem to be the last, as we might be getting that out of MJF and Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett has a good promo, and he does seem to be getting away from MJF for the time being, instead having a match with Claudio to see if he gets that title match with Moxley for what I would think is Grand Slam: Australia.

MJF meanwhile might be pivoting to facing Hangman Page. MJF does have a good promo on telling Jarrett they’ll get back to their feud eventually, but then Hangman makes sure to still have his squash match. It was mostly so Daniels could come out and tell us all that he is done with in-ring competition. It was also done well to kayfabe the reason, and use that to affect Hangman. After all, causing someone’s retirement could be what rattles Hangman back into being a more reasonable cowboy. And it’ll be something MJF can prey upon in their potential feud. There’s also that link of “Fallen Angel” Daniels and “AEW Devil” MJF, Hangman fighting his inner demons, all that.

Good promos from The Learning Tree and Powerhouse Hobbs, and while we are possibly getting some sort of parking lot brawl match from Hobbs VS Bill, I hope Jericho being angry with Bill gets us back on track towards Bill ditching Jericho. They were so close to it months ago when Jericho was feuding with Mark Briscoe, and they could really make a fan favorite Face out of Bill. A lot of fans already like Bill, and Bill turning on Jericho would definitely win more over. Bill and Hobbs could even learn to respect each other and be a duo of big meaty men. And as it stands, the endgame is probably Hobbs VS Jericho, ROH World Championship optional.

Very good match of Hart VS Hayter, and naturally Hayter won here to tie things up. Hayter had her own “You don’t need to be House of Black” promo with Julia, and even showed her respect so that we can definitely expect the tiebreaker for Grand Slam: Australia. But given Hayter said all that, it seemed a bit redundant for the formerly House of Black to have their promo tonight. They should’ve saved that video for Collision, when Brody King & Buddy Matthews are going to face The Gates of Agony and could debut the group’s new name at the same time. I mean, we’re still getting that latter part, but this promo would’ve really added to that.

Very good match from Swerve VS Fox, but of course Ricochet tried to screw Swerve over. Swerve still wins, but I do like that he showed respect to Fox to move past that betrayal last year. Good promo from Ricochet as he “threatened” Nana, and it’s a shame WWE never saw this in Ricochet, because he’s doing pretty good as psycho Heel. Swerve’s follow-up promo was good, but maybe a touch redundant in how he said he wants to end this before Atlanta. He said that last week, but clearly this is going to go to Atlanta, so no real point in saying it. What should happen is Swerve asking to escalate that match to some kind of stipulation. But one way or another, it feels like those scissors are going to come into play.

And then very good stuff with the Death Riders story. Moxley is a good promo guy, but his promo once again went one debate point longer than it needed to. He could’ve easily just left it at “And I won’t lose any sleep over it.” But no, he added on and it just felt weird. Great match from Cope VS Pac, and I’m a little surprised the Death Riders didn’t try to screw Cope over. But then clearly we see why: they mugged FTR and Rock ‘n’ Roll Express! Then they do the same to Cope, and even Jay White as White goes for the save.

I do appreciate that there’s room here for Cope and White to make amends from their feud given their common enemies, but I feel like we need Austin & Colten Gunn back so that they can help with the numbers game. Then we can get Bang Bang Gang VS Death Riders for the trios titles while Cope and Moxley fight over THE world title.

My Score: 8.8/10

Rated FTRunners & “Powerhouse” Hobbs speak.

Dax Harwood says, “12 men, one ring, chaos will ensue.” Truth Magnum says the only thing he knows for sure is that if you think you can mess around with the Outrunners and not find out, you got a better chance of pissing in a hot sauce bottle! Tell ’em, Turbo! Turbo Floyd says messing with the Outrunners is one thing, but what about this big super group right here? The best super group since the Yankees! Give it to ’em, big man! Hobbs says on Wednesday, he almost had that AEW World Championship. But even with a bad leg, he’ll hobble out there and beat dat ass! Cope adds that Moxley better shut up and listen.

The Rated R Superstar himself is coming for The Maniac, and he is going to take that AEW World title. The road to that starts tonight, Cash says #TopGuysOut.

Kazuchika Okada speaks.

The Rainmaker tells “Ishii-san, you are the Stone Pitbull. So~ scary~! But I’m the Continental Champion. You were my friend. I used to look up to you. But tonight, I’ll put you down like the dog you are. B*tch!”

Christopher Daniels speaks.

“Hangman Page, I tried over and over to explain my intentions to you, but it seems that all you understand is violence! Well, if you want violence, I’ll show you how violent I can become. Tonight, Hangman Page, Fallen Angel, Texas Death Match!”

Hangman Page speaks.

“Christopher Daniels, for far too long, I have listened to the ruminations and opinions of how I should live my life from old men like you. CD, you are wrong. And you are long in the tooth. Tonight, Texas Death, I take you out to pasture.” The Blackhat Cowboy is ready to put the Fallen Angel out of his misery, but will he hit that Buckshot right in Daniels’ face?

Texas Death Match: Hangman Page VS Christopher Daniels!

No sense in waiting to find out, the Cowboy and the Fallen Angel start us off! Will “Maximum Carnage” be an understatement after these two go until one man can’t keep going?

The bell rings and the fans rally up already. Hangman and Daniels stare down, step up, and Daniels says Hangman could’ve just let it all go. It didn’t have to be like this! The fans duel, but Hangman SLAPS Daniels! Hangman throws hands in the corner, but Daniels CHOPS in return! Daniels ROCKS Hangman, RAMS him again and again, but Hangman CLUBS Daniels back. Hangman fires hands, but Daniels kicks low! The shots go back and forth but Hangman ROCKS Daniels! Hangman CLAWS Daniels’ eyes, then fires body shots and haymakers! Hangman CLUBS away on Daniels, the fans fire up, and Hangman whips corner to corner.

Daniels reverses, runs up, but into a BOOT! Hangman rains down fists, then lets off to pace around. Daniels bails out, but Hangman runs to triangle jump LARIAT! Daniels falls to the floor, but he rises up, into a PLANCHA from Hangman! The fans fire up again while the ref checks Daniels. Daniels is in this but Hangman puts him in the ring. Hangman snarls, but Daniels WRECKS him with a dropkick! Daniels then aims, ARABIAN- NO, Hangman YANKS Daniels down, then sends him into railing! The fans are torn as Hangman grabs a chair! Hangman runs up, and he CLOBBERS Daniels with the chair!

Daniels flounders, Hangman fires the fans up, then he puts the chair in the ring. Hangman grabs more chairs, and Daniels rises up. Daniels is busted open, but Hangman shoves Daniels into the ring. Hangman goes looking, and he brings out BARBED WIRE! Hangman is escalating this quickly as he goes for Daniels’ face! Daniels fights back, but Hangman still DIGS the wire into Daniels’ forehead! He was already bloodied but it’s only gonna get worse! The fans tell Hangman he’s sick, but Hangman LASHES Daniels on the back with the wire! And LASHES him again! Hangman then puts the wire in Daniels’ mouth!!

The fans are freaking out as Hangman is practically flossing Daniels’ teeth with the wire! But Daniels throws Hangman away! Daniels blocks a kick, ducks a lariat, but then the BOOT comes back! Daniels is down, Hangman grabs the rest of the wire, and he wraps it around his arm! Hangman aims, Daniels staggers up, BARBED WIRE ROLLING ELBOW! Daniels falls again, Hangman holds up the wire and the fans cheer, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Hangman stalks Daniels to the ropes, then CHOKES him! Hangman only lets off so he can grab a chair. Hangman sits that chair up, and Daniels sputters from behind his crimson mask. Hangman sets another chair up, those sit facing each other. Hangman brings Daniels over, fireman’s carries, but Daniels fights free! Daniels staggers to a corner, Hangman runs up, but into a BOOT! Daniel runs up, but into a POP-UP POWERBOMB onto the chairs! Daniels writhes and Hangman snarls. The standing count starts, but Daniels uses ropes to stand at 5 of 10! Hangman KICKS him in the side!

Hangman grabs a chair, wedges it into a corner, but Daniels flops out of the ring. Daniels is buying himself as much time as he can but Hangman clears everything else out of the ring. Hangman storms after Daniels, scoops him, and FALL AWAY SLAMS him onto the floor! Daniels writhes again but Hangman goes looking under the ring again. Hangman brings out a TABLE! Hangman positions the table to be ringside, but Daniels drags himself to the apron. Hangman goes up to join Daniels as Maximum Carnage returns to single picture. Hangman brings Daniels over, Alabama Lifts, but Daniels CLUBS away on Hangman’s back!

Daniels underhooks! Hangman lifts! Daniels fights and slips around, to then LARIAT Hangman into the ring! The fans rally up and Daniels steps back in. Daniels storms up on Hangman, but Hangman sends him into the chair! Daniels falls back, the chair stuck around his head! Hangman snarls again while Daniels sputters. Daniels rolls out and ends up on the table, so Hangman runs to DOUBLE STOMP him down through the table!! The fans lose their minds, the standing count begins, and Hangman watches Daniels crawl. Daniels manages to rise at 7, but Hangman KICKS him back down! Hangman rains down fists on the bloody forehead!

Hangman goes looking, and he finds a table with barbed wire on it!! Hangman shoves that into the ring, careful not to poke himself too bad. Hangman sets this monstrosity up near a corner, and Daniels has made his way to the apron. Hangman climbs the corner to bring Daniels up. The fans are already worried, and Hangman Alabama Lifts Daniels! Daniels fights with everything he has left! Daniels HEADBUTTS away on Hangman, then fires down elbows! Daniels slips in, clinches, and URENAGE DOWN THROUGH THE BARBED WIRE TABLE!!! The fans lose their minds while both men are down!

The ref clears the wreckage while both men crawl to the corners. Daniels runs in to LARIAT from behind! GERMAN SUPLEX! S T O! Daniels roars and the fans fire up! Daniels drags Hangman up, clinches again, UREN- NO, Hangman arm-drags free! Hangman LARIATS Daniels up and out, onto the ramp! Hangman snarls, aims, and BUCKSHOT- NO, Daniels ducks that to mule kick! Daniels underhooks, but Hangman BACKDROPS Daniels back into the ring! Daniels snarls through the crimson mask, but Hangman has more barbed wire! Daniels storms up, and Hangman DIGS the wire into Daniels’ face!!

Daniels staggers away, Hangman wraps his arm again! BARBED WIRE BUCK- FLATLINER!! KOJI KLUTCH!! Hangman endures, the fans fire up, and Daniels squeezes as tight as he can! But Hangman DIGS the wire into Daniels’ face again!! Daniels lets go, sputters through the blood, and slowly rises. Hangman aims, lifts, but Daniels grabs ropes! Daniels holds on, but then lets go to underhook! ANGEL’S WINGS!! Both men are down so the count is on them both! Daniels is already up at 5, Hangman is up at 6! The fans fire up for another URENAGE! Daniels points to the corner and the fans fire up!

Daniels goes up, up, BEST MOONSAULT EVER!! But Daniels isn’t done, he grabs what’s left of the barbed wire table and pushes it onto Hangman! BEST MOONSAULT EVER onto the wood!! Daniels crushes Hangman under the wood, then shoves it aside! Fans hope these tow “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Hangman is still down at 5 of 10! And at 7! Hangman scrambles to his feet at 9!! Hangman is bloodied but he’s going nuts! He steps on the chair so Daniels can’t use it! Daniels ROCKS Hangman, Hangman LARIATS Daniels! Scoop and tuck! TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER onto the chair!!

Daniels crawls with one good arm, and he’s somehow still in this! Fans want that “ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!” Hangman waits on Daniels to stand, then reels him in! Alabama Lift, DEADEYE onto the chair!!! Daniels sputters but he’s staying down! Hangman goes to the apron and he loads up all the same. Daniels somehow rises up before 5 of 10, so a BUCKSHOT from behind takes him down!! The count starts again while Hangman stands over Daniels. The count is 5 of 10, then 7. 8! 9! 10!! Daniels is done, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by knockdown

The medics check Daniels, but Hangman leaves him behind. But then on second thought, Hangman drags Daniels up! Underhooks and ANGEL’S WINGS!! Hangman adds insult to injury by using Daniels’ own move!! Hangman storms off, leaving Daniels to the medics. Is this the end of the Fallen Angel? Is this only the beginning of Hangman’s violent road back to the world title?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us back to Maximum Carnage, and he welcomes out Toni Storm! Cincinnati fires up as The Rockstar is back again, and “Rookie” Toni joins Schiavone in the ring. Schiavone notes her historic win in the inaugural Women’s Casino Gauntlet, and with it, her shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship! It will be Grand Slam: Australia, Toni’s hometown of Brisbane, how does she feel? Toni says honestly, she doesn’t even know what her life is right now. It is so surreal! All she can say is, her dreams are finally coming true!

Because she’s going to Australia, to the building where she saw her first wrestling show, and she’ll never forget how her mom scraped together all she could so that they could get tickets, just to sit in the back row. Mom sold hot dogs to pay for Toni’s training. Mom sewed together Toni’s original ring gear. Now Toni can call mom and tell her, “Get ready, cuz I’m coming home!” The fans cheer that! Schiavone says that is a great feeling, but Toni surely realizes she is facing Mariah May, and that is an entirely different feeling. The fans boo Mariah, but Toni says Mariah is “the best in the business today. She’s killing it!”

But Toni hasn’t even had a chance to introduce herself to Mariah. Maybe next week, in Jacksonville, Daily’s Place, the home of AEW… It’s time for Toni and Mariah to finally meet face to face. The fans cheer, but Schiavone wants Toni to understand. C’mon now, Toni. Aw, c’mon yourself, Schiavone! It’s Tony and Toni! That means… IT’S TONI TIME~! WOO~! Say it with her! Okay. It’s TONI TIME! The fans cheer and Toni gets Tony to be all fired up! But the point Schiavone was trying to get to is valid: Is Toni really unaware of her timeless rivalry with The Glamour?

The Hurt Syndicate speaks.

It was after the show on Wednesday that MVP said a definitive statement was made. MVP promised Lashley & Shelton that when they came to AEW, the championship gold would be theirs for the taking. The All Mighty has never been a tag team champion while the Standard of Excellence has many times. That changes everything. With the defeat, the ASS KICKING, they just put on Private Party, that should make the Hurt Syndicate the #1 contenders. So Private Party, time to crash the party! Next week, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Private Party better put up the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Shelton & Lashley. See what you’ve really got!

But just remember: #WeHurtPeople. Lashley says this ish is gonna be easy. He and Shelton fist bump, but will they put the hurt on Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy?

Six Man Tag: The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor Promotions!

Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly are reunited once more, ready for more, and they have all sorts of targets in mind. But Lee Moriarty, Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo have their eyes on those same championship targets, which is why they’re crossing paths here tonight. Will #TAIGASTYLE & The Infantry show the Kingdom how to rumble, bad men, rumble? Or will Maximum Carnage be undisputed?

The trios sort out and the ROH Pure Champion starts against Adam Cole BAYBAY. They circle, tie up, and Lee already gets a leg pick. Lee then switches to a waistlock, Cole switches with him, repeat. Cole headlocks, Lee powers up and out, but Cole KICKS the backdrop! Cole then dodges the lariat, PELES, and he brings Lee over. Tag to Roddy, they mug Lee, and Roddy CHOPS! Roddy CHOPS again, then wrenches to a wristlock. Lee rolls, slips through, traps the arms, and he pulls on an ear! Tag to Dean, STP mug Roddy, and then Dean scoops, only for Roddy to slip free. Roddy shoves and DROPKICKS Dean down!

The fans fire up, Strong tags Kyle, and they CHOP and KICK away on The Captain! lee runs up, Kyle KICKS him down! Kyle & Roddy double suplex Dean onto Lee! Cover on Dean, TWO! Kyle drags Dean up but Dean JAWBREAKERS free! Tag to Carlie but Kyle kicks, clinches, and fires Muay Thai knee after knee! Kyle KICKS Carlie down, then stalks him to ropes. Kyle whips, Carlie reverses, and Dean trips Kyle up! The ref is arguing with Carlie, and now with The Kingdom, as Dean hits an APRON CUTTER! Carlie goes up and out to then GUILLOTINE AX HANDLE! Kyle flops down, STP pose together, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Kyle sputters, The Infantry distract the ref, and that lets Shane THROW Kyle into railing! Shane DECKS Kyle while The Kingdom protests! The ref keeps everyone back, and Dean brings Kyle around. Carlie puts Kyle in the ring, whips him to a corner, then storms up to JAB! JAB! JAB! Carlie pops, locks ‘n’ winds up, to CHOP! Carlie talks smack, tags Dean, then Dean sends Carlie in to SPLASH! Dena runs up, whips Carlie in again, forearm SMASH! Then Dean ELBOWS Kyle! Kyle staggers, into a LARIAT from Dean! The Captain scowls while he stands over Kyle. Dean then pushes Kyle to a cover, TWO!

Dean drags Kyle back, anchors him, then tags Lee. Lee drags Kyle up to UPPERCUT! Kyle staggers around, Lee Mongolian CHOPS! Kyle staggers some more, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns while both Kyle and Lee are down. The fans rally up, both men crawl, hot tags to Dean and Cole! the fans fire up as Cole dodges Dean, BLASTS Lee & Carlie, but Dean waistlocks! Cole elbows free, then LARITS Dean down! And ELBOWS him! And BOOTS him! Dean staggers, Cole fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Cole keeps his focus and he climbs a corner. Dean rises, for the PANAMA- NO, Dean slips under the sunrise! But Cole SUPERKICKS! Cole suplexes, LAST SHOT! Cover, TWO!! Well, not quite the last shot, so Cole tags ROddy. Rioddy hauls Dean up to CHOP away!

Roddy runs, BLASTS Carlie, then runs to SHINING WIZARD Dean! Side to side, forearm SMASH! Then a RUNNING FACEBUSTER! Cover, Carlie & Lee break it! STP mugs Roddy, double whips, but Roddy grabs ropes! Roddy BOOTS and ENZIGIRIS Lee, Kyle sneaks a tag! Roddy TOSSES Carlie and Kyle FLYING KNEES him down! Lee runs up but Cole gets him with 52 Fake Out! Then a PANAMA SUNRISE! The fans fire up as Dean staggers up! Roddy & Kyle call their shot, TOTAL ANNIHILATION! Cover, Undisputed Kingdom wins!

Winners: The Undisputed Kingdom, by pinfall

STP put up quite the fight, but now Shane himself CLOBBERS Kyle! And he blocks a kick to KNEE Cole down! And he HEADBUTTS Roddy down! The fans boo but Big Bad Shaney T is that bad! He talks trash, even to Daddy Magic! Matt Menard says alright then! If Shane thinks he’s bad, then step to him! Or rather, step to DANIEL GARCIA! The TNT Champion makes his way out here, and he CLOBBERS Carlie! He CLOBBERS Dean! And he fires hands on Shane! Garcia throws off his jacket, storms in, and he fires more hands! Shane shoves Garcia away, but Kyle KICKS! Cole SUPERKICKS! Strong KNEE!

Daniel reels Shane in, SAIDO! The fans fire up as Garcia and the Undisputed Kingdom stand tall together! STP retreats, but then The Kingdom eyes that TNT Championship. Garcia holds it up, and he dares any which one of them wants it to come get it. Who will be the first from The Kingdom to challenge the Red Death?

AEW shares more footage from after Dynamite.

Alicia Atout was with Will Ospreay and asked him about the save he made for Kenny Omega against the Don Callis Family. What are his thoughts after all that? Ospreay says you can call it a save for Kenny but it was really Ospreay trying to get after Kyle Fletcher. But hey, he and Kenny have had their differences. Their battles in Japan and Canada have gone down as legendary. But they both know each other because of Don Callis. That is their link, that is how they’re tied together. Before, it was all about egos, but to be honest, this is bigger than both of them. Time they had a chat. Next week, Dynamite in Knoxville, Ospreay calls out Kenny to have that chat.

The Bruv wants to talk with The Best Bout Machine, will they come to an agreement when it comes to their common enemies?

Brian Cage & Lance Archer w/ Don Callis VS Top Flight w/ Leila Grey!

Speaking of Don Callis, his Murder Machines are back in action, ready to make #EverybodyDie! Will Cage & Archer be waiting on the other side of Private Party VS Hurt Syndicate for their tag title shot? Or can Dante & Darius Martin show that the bigger they are, the harder they fall?

The teams sort out and then the Murder Machines attack! The fans boo but the bell rings as Cage beats up Dante and Archer CLUBS Darius. Archer scoops Darius to SLAM him, then Cage waistlocks Dante. BOOT GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO! Dante flounders out of the ring while Cage RAMS Darius into the corner! And RAMS him in again! Then he CHOPS Darius, tags Archer, and they THROW Darius into the corner! Archer whips Cage in to UPPERCUT, then Cage feeds Darius to the scoop! BACKBREAKER! BASEMENT DROPKICK! Cage adds on and Archer says, “EVERYBODY DIES!” Dante is up but Archer DECKS him!

Archer puts Darius in the corner, fires body shots, then he ROCKS Darius! Archer goes corner to corner and back again to ELBOW! And then he keeps going, but Darius dodges! The fans rally up as Darius crawls, but Archer BLASTS Dante again! Darius fires haymakers, but Archer knees low! Archer bumps Darius off buckles, tags Cage, and the mugging continues. The fans boo but Cage runs side to side, and he BOOT WASHES Darius! Cage says “Ain’t nobody betta!” Cage drags Darius up, whips him to an open corner, then he runs in, but into BOOTS! The fans rally but Cage ROCKS Darius! Darius TIGER WALL PELES with the corner!

The fans fire up while both men are down! Darius crawls, reaches out, but Cage also carwls. Hot tags to Archer and Dante! Archer SHOVES Dante to the apron! Archer laughs, but Dante RAMS into him! Dante springboards, CROSSBODY, but Archer catches him! Archer pops Dante around, but Dante slips free! Datne shovves Archer iinto Cage! Dante fires forearms on Archer and the fans fire up! Dante throws even more shots, then whips, but Archer blocks! Archer whips Dante, runs in, but Dante slips out! Dante goes up and around, then GAMANGIRIS! Dante springboards, FLYING CANNONBALL!

The fans fire up and Dante calls Darius. Cage shoves Dante at Darius, but Darius pops Dante up and over Cage! ASSISTED TORNADO- NO, Cage powers out of that! Archer has Dante, Cage DISCUS LARIATS Darius! Archer ripcords Dante into the HELLICOASTER! The fans boo but Cage drags Dante up. Cage puts one out, lifts Dante up, and Archer adds on! CHOKE SLAM BOMB!! Cover, Murder Machines win!

Winners: Brian Cage & Lance Archer, by pinfall

Top Flight are fast but they don’t hit hard enough to stop these tanks! Will nothing stop the Murder Machines from taking the tag titles for their own? Wait, Action Andretti makes his way out here? The Sight to See is rubbing salt in the wounds of his former friends, and Lio Rush attacks from behind! the fans boo as The Bad Child beats down Dante, TOSSES him out, then beats up on Darius! Leila wants them to stop, but Action just talks trash on Darius. The fans boo more but Lio goes up the corner. Action smiles as Lio gives Darius the FINAL HOUR!! Is this the final hour for Top Flight? Or will they make sure Lio & Action get what’s coming to them?

Backstage interview with The Learning Tree.

Lexy Nair is with Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey, and she asks Jericho about how on Dynamite, he assured us all that The Learning Tree and The Death Riders would be on the same page, and that Jon Moxley can trust them. How is Jericho so sure that things will go well when The Death Riders didn’t even show for this interview? The Redwood says, “As the Learning Tree always says, ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'” Jericho says that’s so true. And Moxley isn’t the type to show up and do interviews. Jericho isn’t the type to stand here and allow someone to stir the pot.

So enough of this muckraking! Bryan Keith adds, “No mother effin’ muckraking!!” Lexy is a bit taken aback, but Jericho tells Moxley that he’ll address him directly. They’ve known each other a long time. They were the first two AEW World Champions! They have beaten the hell out of each other around the entire world! Moxley left this scar right on Jericho’s left eyebrow. See? And Jericho took a spike and tried to take Moxley’s eye. So like Jericho said, they’ve beaten each other all around the world, but tonight they have common enemies! Moxley knows there is no one in AEW as driven or as smart as Moxley as Jericho.

So if Moxley’s as smart as Jericho thinks, it would behoove Moxley to trust The Learning Tree. And if there’s any doubt, then The Learning Tree will prove it to you before you meet them in the ring. Lexy asks what he means, but Jericho counters with, “What does anything mean, Lexy?” Jericho storms off, Bill says that was a sick burn. Keith says it was a sick ass burn! The Learning Tree heads out, but seriously, what does Jericho mean? How’re they going to prove themselves to The Death Riders before their 12 Man Tag?

Backstage interview with Matt Menard & Daniel Garcia.

Collision returns as Lexy is now with Daddy Magic & The TNT Champion, and she notes them helping out The Undisputed Kingdom. Can they explain how and why? But before Garcia can, Roddy shouts at “DANIEEEL~!” The Kingdom thanks Garcia for that, they appreciate the help. And trust Cole when he says that if there’s anyone who understands competition, certainly it’s Garcia. It is a shame, though, that Garcia & Menard don’t have a third man, because Cole, Roddy & Kyle wanna prove they’re the best trio in AEW. Garcia says yeah, well, they’ll be in Jacksonville next week for Collision: Homecoming.

And Garcia remembers walking into Jacksonville three years ago with two people he barely even knew, at the bottom of the totem pole. Three years later, we’re going back to Jacksonville and it’s a completely different story. Menard checks with Garcia. Is he saying they’re call the brand new father? The new father? Then Kingdom is on! Homecoming, Jacksonville, Six Man Tag! Cole and the boys like that, and they head out. Will things still be undisputed? Or will Cool Hand Ange’s return to the ring tip the scales?

Max Caster is in the ring.

Platinum Max has both a mic and a leather bag, and he thanks the fans, missing how they’re booing him. But Caster says there has been a lot of issues going on within The Acclaimed. There are a lot of rumors online, a lot of talk, but he wants to clear the air right now with his teammate, Anthony Bowens. Caster asks Bowens to come to the ring, and he has the fans cheer Bowens on. Bowens does walk out here, and he grabs a mic for himself. Caster says this has gone on long enough. There has been a huge misunderstanding between the two of them. They are a great team, and more importantly, they are great friends.

The biggest issue here is that Bowens just won’t admit that Caster is the Best Wrestler Alive! The fans boo and Bowens stops Caster there. Bowens says it is finally time for Caster to listen! Because for the last five years, Bowens has tried with every fiber of his being to protect Caster in the ring, in the locker room, and in the media. Because they, The Acclaimed, were tag team partners, and then became best friends. But now Bowens has to live with the very uncomfortable truth that Caster has made Bowens into a liar! Because for those five years, Bowens has had to lie to every single fan about who Caster is as a person!

Because Cincinnati, you need to know that Max Caster is an arrogant, cocky, selfish, edge lord PIECE OF S*IT! And Caster wants the fans to believe he’s the Best Wrestler Alive? Newsflash: The fans believe YOU SUCK! The fans cheer, but Caster brings out a (fake) degree from his bag that says “Best Wrestler Alive!” Bowens says this is what he means! Cater is selfish, he lost the team spirit! Why did Caster start looking down on Bowens? Maybe it’s because Bowens is the Scissor King, not that Caster’s been doing that. Well guess what? Bowens is more than that! He possesses every tool necessary to be a world champion! Cincy agrees there!

Bowens has proudly represented AEW since he put pen to paper! He is the GADDAMN PRIDE of AEW! He is the Five Tool Player!! The fans cheer that! And Bowens doesn’t need some piece of paper to prove it. Caster says don’t touch him! Wait, the music hits? They’re both here, so that means it is DADDY ASS! Billy Gunn is back, mic in hand, and he sighs looking at his boys fighting. The fans cheer and Billy says first off, what is wrong with these two? They are The Acclaimed! AEW World Tag Team Champions, AEW World Trios Champions, and they got everyone to scissor just because it was cool!

Caster claims Billy doesn’t care about them! He just attached himself to a couple of young, hungry wrestlers like them just so they could hear the fans chant his name again. Billy made it about Billy, when it should be about MAX! The Best Wrestler Alive! Oh, and Anthony! They are best friends! Seriously! Okay? They are two guys who were randomly put together, didn’t know each other, but they became the winningest tag team in AEW history! Every team Billy has been a part of has broken up, and there’s a reason for that. Yeah, even Gunn Club! Billy’s own two sons did not want anything to do with him!

Billy gets pissed and he gets in Caster’s face. The fans tell Billy, “KICK HIS ASS! KICK HIS ASS!” Caster says he is not doing this. Bowens has to choose: Caster or Billy. If Bowens wants The Acclaimed to continue, it is either Caster or “washed-up” Billy Gunn. The fans cheer for “BILLY! BILLY!” Bowens is conflicted, but Caster stands there with open arms. Bowens offers the scissors, so Caster says okay. But then Bowens makes it a middle finger! The fans cheer as Bowens stands with Billy! So is that how it is? Caster says fine! Another bad decision from “Bad Decision Bowens.” You can’t walk away from Caster, he’s walking away from them!

Acclaimed is done because CASTER said so as leader of the team! It is Bowens’ fault, it is Billy’s fault, and it’s the fault of every fan here! Caster will prove to everyone that he IS the Best Wrestler Alive, and without him, Bowens sucks, Billy sucks, and all the fans suck! The fans chant “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” Bowens tells Caster that he didn’t need Caster then, and he doesn’t need Caster now! Get outta his life! Billy, Cincy, one last time! Throw the scissors up! The fans cheer as Bowens & Billy SCISSOR~! Caster is frustrated, but will he just have to put up or shut up?

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana.

Lexy is with The Realest and says the past few weeks, he and Ricochet have had this cat ‘n’ mouse game. But it was announced that February 5th, Dynamite in Atlanta, we will get Swerve VS Ricochet. But until then, what is Swerve’s strategy? Swerve says respectfully, the longer they waste time talking, the more time Ricochet has to get away. And as for “cat ‘n’ mouse,” this is more like lion and rat. It will end now. February 5th, Swerve gets Ricochet in the ring to himself, but Swerve plans on seeing him way before then. Swerve has been cursed with the ability where everything he touches dies…

With that said, Swerve plans on using that for when he gets his hands on Ricochet’s throat! The Most Dangerous Man is only going to be more dangerous from now on, will Ricochet have no chance of escape?

Winners: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, The Outrunners & Rated FTR, by pinfall

The Learning Tree tried to earn the Death Riders’ trust, but they only angered The Powerhouse! Will The Book of Hobbs still find his way back to a championship story in the New Year? And what of Rated FTR? Are they still brawling with The Death Riders somewhere in Cincinnati? Will they be brawling all the way to Knoxville this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here, but with some obvious new examples of Tony Khan forgetting his own stories. The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor Promotions was a great Six Man Tag, and a great win for Cole, Roddy & Kyle now that they’re all back together, but I guess The Conglomeration meant nothing to anyone in the end. Secondly, Daniel Garcia making the save is fine and all, but why’re we pivoting away from how Garcia is friends with Private Party and should be helping them with The Hurt Syndicate? Not to mention, Shelton and Garcia still have beef from the C2 to settle, aka a TNT Championship match. Hurt Syndicate had a good promo, and it’s really hard to think Private Party retains the tag titles.

Back to Garcia, I do appreciate we’re getting back to him teaming with Menard & Parker, and we’ll have a fun Six Man Tag for Homecoming, but I feel like Undisputed Kingdom wins again. We’ll probably get the Kingdom member who scores the fall challenging for the TNT Championship, so maybe like Kyle VS Garcia, but even that should be a one-off. If The Kingdom wants to be the “best trio” in AEW, that means they want the trios titles, and that means running afoul of The Death Riders, who already have Rated FTR after them. I suppose the easiest solution is just for Claudio, Yuta & Pac to defend against both teams in some kind of wild Trios match, but it’s hard to say if TK can sort out a mess like that.

There’s also the ROH World Six Man titles, but it doesn’t seem like The Von Erichs ever leave Texas. And All In: Texas is the big attraction for the Summer, so I can’t imagine “The Sons of Texas” losing in Texas… Well, that’s a problem to be solved later, we still got a good match from Dustin Rhodes tonight, but then that was about it. I was expecting someone from the ROH side to call him out for the tag titles, but nope. Gates of Agony had a very good promo to put a challenge of their own out there, and I suppose since they want the best possible, TK wasn’t going to short change them. Brody & Buddy having a match for Homecoming could help them introduce their new team name that is no longer House of Black related, given Malakai Black seems on his way out for real this time.

Speaking of, Julia had a very good match with Harley and got a very good win out of it. Julia still seems to be working the rust off but she can definitely find her way back to a title. If it’s Mercedes Mone still as TBS Champion, Julia isn’t winning. And even then, whoever beats Mone isn’t losing to Julia… Toni Storm had a good promo with Schiavone, especially the subtle way she stopped Schiavone from bringing up her past with Mariah. Whether this is a delusion or a deception, that will surely come to a head next week when Toni and Mariah meet face to face. I am really going to enjoy the moment Toni finally says, “How DARE you!” again.

Very good tag match of Murder Machines VS Top Flight, but of course Archer & Cage were going to win. They need their own momentum, for starters, and also they’re just massive. Depending on how the tag title match goes, I could see the Murder Machines going after Private Party, or even stepping to the Hurt Syndicate to make that the next phase of the Don Callis Family story. Ospreay had a good promo to bring up that feud, and I would think Ospreay’s chat with Omega next week is to make an alliance so that they can take on The Don Callis Family. Then as I said on Wednesday, we can get Ospreay & Omega VS Murder Machines first, then Ospreay & Omega VS Kyle & Konosuke after that.

Hangman VS Daniels was an awesome Texas Death Match, just a little bit short of the matches Hangman has had with Swerve. But even so, Daniels looked awesome, even with how he was bleeding and beat up. Hangman wins, of course, and he could go after just about anyone after this. And if this is Daniels’ sendoff as an in-ring competitor, what a way to go out, #ThankYouCD. Speaking of Swerve, he’s of course going to be hunting Ricochet, and the three weeks until Dynamite Atlanta will be some interesting ones. But I feel like they could’ve instead kayfabed that each week is meant to have Ricochet VS Swerve, Ricochet keeps ducking Swerve, and then TK takes an onscreen role to say enough is enough, Ricochet HAS to face Swerve in Atlanta, last warning.

Okada VS Ishii was a great match, and Okada sure hit all his usuals. Okada cheating to get the win is fitting of this Heel persona, but it’s hard to say where he’s going after this. Part of me wonders if Hobbs can step to him given how strong he’s getting to look lately. Good promo from Hobbs & Rated FTRunners, and I do commend Learning Tree for attacking after as a way of trying to win over The Death Riders. It didn’t work out, obviously, as Hobbs gets to look even stronger. Rated FTR and Death Riders brawling out of the building to take themselves out of the equation was smart, too, keeps them from being part of the math once Hobbs “heroically” goes out there and wins it for the Faces. Hobbs VS Okada would be an awesome match, and the promos oughta be fun, too.

My Score: 8.8/10
