Super Jr. Tag League 2022: KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight VS Ace Austin & Chris Bey!

Time2Fly ran out of time and now they’re out of the running! But there’s always time to be a spoiler, so can Kushida & Knight ruin things for Bullet Club? Or will the #InevitableFinesse lock down a spot in the finals?

Bullet Club Too Sweets and take off the jackets. The teams sort out and fans rally up as Bey starts with Knight. They circle, Knight slides forward but Bey steps back. They tie up, Knight headlocks, and he grinds Bey down. Bey fights up to power out and spin around to headlock. Knight powers out but Bey runs him over. Bey swaggers and throws up the Too Sweet, but Knight kips up to run Bey over! Knight says he’s too fly, and things speed up. Knight leaps over the dropdown, but Bey dodges the lariat! Bey rolls and headscissors, but Knight handsprings through! Knight comes back to scoop but Bey victory rolls, TWO!

Fans fire up as Knight keeps moving, springboard CROSSBODY! Then the scoop and SLAM! And the SPINNING SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Knight keeps on Bey with a wrench and wristlock as fans rally. Tag to Kushida and Knight hands off the arm. Kushida wrenches to a wristlock, tags Knight, and hands off the arm to another wrench. Tag back to Kushida, and the handoff continues. Tag back to Knight, they handoff the wrench again and again and again! Then they double wrench, double snapmare and double knee drop both arms! Fans fire up but Ace attacks Time2Fly! Ace CLUBS Knight, runs, but into the dodge, body shot, and knee lift!

Ace bails out while Time2Fly has their secret handshake. Fans rally up as Time2Fly build speed, but Bullet Club gets clear. Fans rally as Knight goes out after Bey and Kushida goes after Ace. They go deep into the crowd! The bleachers get a closer look at the action as the brawls go up the steps! Kushida makes Ace take a seat as he throws down hands! Fans fire up as Kushida stalks Ace back down the way. Meanwhile, Bey leaps to CLUB Knight on the back! Knight knees low in return, and CLUBS him towards ringside. The ring count finally starts, Knight EuroUppers Bey at 4 of 20! Kushida wrenches Ace’s arm but Ace CLUBS back at 6.

Knight puts Bey in the ring at 7, Ace POSTS Kushida at 8! Knight gets on the apron but Ace anchors him at 9! Knight kicks Ace away, springboards in, but Bey DROPKICKS Knight outta the air! Cover, TWO! Fans fire up and Bey rains down hands from all sides. The ref reprimands about closed fists, Bey lets off and shouts, “That’s what it’s all about, baby!” Tag to Ace, he and Bey double whip Knight, then POMMEL KICK, and FINESSE IN MOTION! Feed to the drop toehold and Eddy Gordo Kick, then DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO! Fans rally while Ace grows frustrated. Ace wraps Knight up in a headscissor squeeze!

Knight endures, rolls over and out, but Ace stomps him at the ropes. Ace drags Knight up, reels him in, and snap suplexes! Then Ace has the mounted armbar! Knight endures, but out comes the ace up Ace’s sleeve! PAPER CUT! Fans fire up as Ace hides the card again. Ace drags Knight up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Bey. Ace tags in but Kushida’s up top, DOUBLE BRAIN CHOPS! Fans fire up with Kushida as he KICKS and KICKS and KICKS Ace! Kushida whips, Ace reverses but Kushida CROSSBODIES! Fans rally as Kushida dodges Ace to PELE! Bey runs in to kick Kushida, then he runs, but into Kushida’s hip toss! Handspring, basement dropkick! Fans fire up more as Kushida roars! Ace rushes in but Kushida hurdles, drops under, and hip tosses into the ARMBAR! Ace endures, rolls, stacks Kushida but ends up in a Triangle Hold! Ace deadlifts Kushida to POWERBOMB him! Bey and Ace coordinate as Kushida rises, ONE TWO SWEET CUT- NO, Kushida catches Bey into a waistlock! GERMAN SUPLEX! Ace ROCKS Kushida, but Knight tags in on the whip! Kushida reverses, then drops under and Knight sidesteps for another drop and sidestep, then a DROPKICK! Knight kips up and says it’s time! The brawl keeps going with Knight and Ace getting the edge! Kushida ends up in a corner and Bey sits on the top rope.

Kushida lets Bey go so he can dropkick Ace out from under Knight! Knight then gets up to JUMPING STEINER Bey! Kushida Electric Chair Lifts again, JET FLIGHT DROPKICK!! Cover, but Ace barrels in to break it!! Fans fire up, Knight throws Ace out. Ace is on the apron, he shoulders in and slingshots over, dodges Kushida and kicks him! POMMEL KICK for Knight, KNEE LIFT for Kushida, HEEL KICK for Knight! Fans fire up and Bey climbs up. Ace YOYO SLAMS Knight, then runs at Kushida, but Kushida BOOTS him down! Kushida runs to HANDSPRING KICK Bey! Ace returns but Kushida elbows him away.

Kushida puts Ace on the apron and runs side to side, but Ace jumps the sliding kick! Ace handsprings to avoid the sweep and then he PENALTY KICKS Kushida! Fans fire up again, and then even more as Knight DROPKICKS Ace! Knight aims and PLANCHAS, but Bey APRON CUTTERS!! Fans fire up for that insane intercept! Ace gets Bey in the ring, then he gets Knight in. Fans clap for Bullet Club as they ONE TOO SWEET CUTTER, and THE FOLD!! Cover, Bullet Club wins!

As far as the finals go, The Wild Hips and the Flying Tigers are extinct. But pride is always on the line, so who wins more of that along with those two points?

The fans rally already, and Eagles gets them to “ROBBIE ROBBIE ROBBIE! OI OI OI!” Taguchi & Connors have their Sapporo beer, so Taguchi stars a chant of “BIRU BIRU BIRU! OI OI OI!” The Wild Hips drink up and are ready to go. Eagles asks if they have one for him. Sure! Fans chant “GO GO TIGER!” wanting the living legend to partake. Tiger says no thank you, maybe later. Connors has Tiger’s then. The teams sort out, Connors starts against Eagles. Fans rally as the two circle, tie up, and Eagles wrenches. Connors rolls, wrenches and wristlocks back, but Eagles rolls, handsprings and wrenches again.

Connors puts Eagles on the ropes but the ref counts the break. Connors lets off, but then knees low! Connors whips but Eagles holds ropes to block. Connors ELBOWS Eagles, whips, but Eagles reverses to go up and around to arm-drag! Eagles runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then RANAS! Fans fire up, Eagles calf kicks but Connors avoids it! Connors runs in but Eagles kicks him away. Connors ducks the boot, redirects and runs Eagles over! Connors hits Tiger for good measure, and Taguchi jumps in. Fans rally as the Wild Hips double whip but Eagles reverses. Taguchi ends up in the corner, Connors runs but Eagles hurdles, sending Connors into Taguchi!

Eagles arm-drags Connors, then baits him in again, and a drop toehold sends Connors into Taguchi’s BUTT! The Funky Weapon takes friendly fire and Eagles tags Tiger. Tiger drags Connors up to mule kick, Eagles KICKS, and DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES take Connors down! Cover, TWO! Tiger keeps on Connors with a motorcycle stretch. Connors endures, Tiger turns him to have him down on the mat with an armlock. Connors fights up, Tiger wrenches but Connors slips through to throw body shots. Tiger KICKS Connors, KICKS him again, then KICKS again! Connors stands up, and Tiger kicks him in the butt! But Tiger is the one who takes damage!

Connors eggs Tiger on, Tiger KICKS Connors in the chest! Connors falls and Tiger shakes out his foot. Tag to Eagles and Eagles stomps Connors. Eagles drags Connors up, but Connors throws body shots! Eagles trips Connors but Connors kips him away. Eagles BOOTS Connors, runs, but into an ELBOW! Connors runs, Eagles follows, Connors drops and redirects to POUNCE! Fans fire up as both men are down! Connors crawls as fans rally, hot tag to Taguchi! Taguchi storms up on Eagles and he gives a POINT-BLANK HIP! And another, and another! Taguchi whips but Eagles reverses, but Taguchi holds ropes. Tiger CHOPS Taguchi on the back!

Tiger holds Taguchi and Eagles hurries over to the apron. The Flying Tigers aim, but Taguchi avoids their double roundhouses to the butt! Taguchi HIP ATTACKS Tiger off the apron, then brings Eagles into chicken wings. Eagles slips free, schoolboys and bridges, TWO! Eagles ROUNDHOUSES, SUPERKICKS and PELES! Fans fire up with Eagles but Taguchi ENZIGURIS back! Tiger tags in but Taguchi kicks him low. Taguchi gives Tiger POINT-BLANK HIP after POINT-BLANK HIP! Connors flops over and Taguchi calls to him! “What happened, Clark?!” Taguchi is mad at the Flying Tigers for what they did to Clark! But then they both avoid his Hip Attack! Fans rally up and Tiger SOBATS! Eagles KICKS! Then SUPERKICK BUZZSAW COMBO! Cover, TWO!

Fans rally up as Taguchi is still in this. Tiger drags Taguchi up, whips him to a corner, then runs in to ROUNDHOUSE! Taguchi flounders but Tiger brings him into double underhooks, BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! But into a DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! Taguchi endures but Tiger headscissors to keep him down. Connors CLOBBERS Tiger! Eagles kicks Connors and throws him out! Tiger drags Taguchi up while Eagles keeps after Connors. Taguchi fights the underhooks but Tiger spins him around and victory rolls! TWO!! Taguchi escapes, swings, but into a backslide! TWO!!

Tiger SOBATS and runs, but Taguchi drops. Tiger sunset flips, but Taguchi brings down the tights! RED UNDIES! But Tiger turns hip drop into sunset flip! Connors tips it back over, TWO as Eagles tips it back! TWO as Connors tips it for Taguchi! TWO as Eagles tips it for Tiger! TWO as Connors tips it! TWO as Eagles tips it! TWO, Connors! TWO, Eagles! Connors, Eagles, Connors, Eagles, and then the cradle falls apart! Fans fire up as Connors and Eagles coach Taguchi and Tiger. Eagles and Connors then start throwing forearms and haymakers! Fans rally as Connors gets the edge. Eagles blocks but Connors ducks a kick, only for Eagles to land out of the back suplex!

Eagles dropkicks the legs out, runs, but into a HIP ATTACK from Connors! Fans fire up as Connors reveals HIS red undies! But Tiger ROLLING SOBATS Connors out! Tiger runs, into the RED HIP ATTACK! But Tiger stays up to BUZZSAW Taguchi’s butt! Tiger drags Taguchi up, underhooks the arms, but Taguchi fights to back drop! Tiger sunset flips, Connors breaks it with a hip! Taguchi covers, the Wild Hips win!!

The Black Mask y El Inmortal are so close to the finals, they can almost taste it! Will they be able to keep the tournament tranquilo? Or will the Murder Machine & Spoiler be spoilers for Los Ingobernables de Japon?

The teams sort out, but the House of Torture attacks! Dick stomps Bushi down while Sho kicks Titan against ropes! The bell rings, Dick kicks Bushi out and helps Sho stomp Titan. They drag Titan from ropes, stomp him more, but the ref reprimands. Fans boo but Dick tells them to shut up. Dick and Sho whip Titan to a corner, but Titan goes up and over Dick, only to get caught by Sho. Dick runs in but Titan back drops him up and over! Titan then arm-drags Sho away, and sweeps the legs to a cover. Titan lets off as Dick runs in, so Dick ends up stomping Sho by mistake! Titan arm-drags Dick and SHOTGUNS Sho!

Fans fire up as Titan ducks ‘n’ dodges Dick to RANA Him out! Dick ends up stuck in the ropes, Sho hurries to help him, but then Sho runs away as Titan builds speed! Dick ends up falling on the floor! Fans laugh as Dick gets mad at Sho. Titan fires up to build speed again, but both Sho & Dick duck! Titan slides, to SLAP them both on the back! Fans fire up and Dick and Sho are upset with each other. Dick hurries into the ring, as does Sho, and they’re going to throw hands? No, they hug it out. Fans applaud the House of Torture settling things peacefully, but then LIJ dump them both out! Titan & Bushi aim, but the House uses Oskar Leube as a shield!

LIJ hesitates, and that allows Dick & Sho to trip them up! Dick ROCKS Titan, Sho drags Bushi to the bleachers! Sho CLUBS Bushi and whips him into the wall. Fans rally for LIJ but Dick CHOKES Titan by standing on his neck. The ref reprimands them all, Dick stands Titan up to ROCK with a haymaker. Dick puts Titan in for Sho and Sho CLUBS Titan down. Cover, TWO! Dick CLUBS Bushi, Sho stomps Titan. Sho bumps Titan off buckles, stomps him down and stands on him! The ref counts and fans boo but Sho lets off to tag Dick. Dick storms up to ELBOW Titan down! And CLUB him, too! Dick covers, TWO!

Dick wraps on a chinlock to grind Titan down. But the ref suspects choking! Dick lets off and Titan sputters. Dick drags Titan up by his mask, snapmares then drops the fist! Cover, TWO! Fans rally up as Titan gets away. Dick storms up and grabs the mask again. Dick taunts Bushi then brings Titan around. Dick wrenches an arm, hooks Titan up, and he starts untying the mask! The fans boo but Sho intercepts Bushi! Sho puts Bushi in a corner, Dick puts Titan in the other, and they both pull at LIJ’s masks! Fans boo and the ref reprimands, so Dick stops at 4. Sho keeps trying with Bushi so the ref reprimands him.

Dick puts Titan in another corner, and he goes after the mask again! Fans boo more but Dick lets off to tag Sho. They stomps Titan around, Sho laughs and kicks Titan around. Fans rally for Titan and he sits up. Sho gives toying kicks now, but Titan stands up. Sho eggs Titan on so Titan forearms, KICKS and SOBATS! Sho rakes the eyes! The ref reprimands, Sho stops to whip Titan to a corner, and he runs in to clothesline! Sho brings Titan in but Titan suplexes first! GOURD BUSTER, to SUPERKICK! Fans fire up while both men are down! Titan and Sho crawl, hot tag to Bushi! Fans fire up as Bushi kicks and whips but Sho reverses, Bushi dropkicks the legs out!

Bushi drags Sho up but Dick gets in to CLUB Bushi! The ref reprimands but the House double whips Bushi to ropes. Bushi ducks the lariats, sends Sho into Dick, then he DOUBLE RANAS! Fans fire up and Bushi stomps Sho. Bushi drags Sho up but Sho swings, into a spin and DDT! Cover, TWO! Fans rally and Bushi keeps on Sho. Bushi bumps Sho off buckles, CHOPS him, then whips him corner to corner. Bushi runs in but Sho dodges. Sho returns but into Bushi’s SWING KICK! Bushi goes up the corner to leap, MISSILE DROPKICK! And BUSHIROONI! Fans fire up more and Bushi stomps Sho around.

Bushi drags Sho up, suplexes, but Sho blocks it! Sho bends Bushi’s fingers, CLUBS the arm, then runs, but into an ENZIGURI! Fans fire up as Sho falls out. Bushi builds speed but Dick trips him! Fans boo but Dick tags in. Dick stomps Bushi around, drags him up, and he claws Bushi’s face! Dick runs but Bushi CODE- NO, Dick throws Bushi down, and then has the legs. FALLING HEADBUTT to the groin! The ref reprimands but Dick says he hit the lower stomach. Fans boo, and Sho has his wrench! But Titan springboards in to CROSSBODY Sho down! Fans fire up, Titan kicks, kick and SOBATS! But Sho rakes the eyes!

Sho runs, but Titan follows to TORNADO DDT! Sho bails out, Dick kicks low and runs, but Titan goes Matrix to then CALF KICK! Fans fire up as the House regroups outside. Titan builds speed to FLY! Direct hit on Sho & Dick and fans fire up again! Titan roars and he has the fans get even louder! Titan then goes back to CLUB Dick and put him in the ring. Bushi drags Dick up, he and Titan double whip, then Bushi runs in to back elbow. Bushi sets up, INMORTAL IN MOTION! Bushi picks Dick up while Titan climbs, MISSLE DROPKICK SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Dick survives but fans rally behind LIJ.

Titan aims at Dick, he runs in, LOCO LARIAT! Dick staggers into the CODE BREAKER! ANGEL IN- NO, Evil & Yujiro trip Titan up!! Fans boo and the Tokyo Pimp acts surprised. Fans tell Evil & Yujiro to go away, but Sho shoves Bushi into the ref! Yujiro & Evil then slide in and they all stomp Bushi down! Fans boo but the House of Torture laughs. The House whips Bushi to a corner, Sho runs in but is put on the apron. Bushi DECKS Sho, dodges Evil, and BOOTS Yujiro! Bushi sends Evil into Yujiro, and Titan springboards to DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICK them down! Fans fire up as the House bails out!

Titan gets a boost from Bushi to go up, tightrope walk and QUEBRADA! Three for one as he takes out Evil, Yujiro and Sho! Dick rushes at Bushi but Bushi blocks the eye poke! Bushi kicks, Dick blocks and ducks the enziguri, only for Bushi to HEEL KICK! Dick staggers, Bushi CODE BREAKERS! ANGEL INMORTAL!! Cover, LIJ wins!

The Men of the Hour are fighting against time to stay in the running! Will Direct Drive & The Bad Child build back up? Or will they get burned by the #GLEATSAUCE?

The teams sort out and Lio starts against Zayne. Fans rally at the bell as the two circle. Lio flexes at Lindaman, then ties up with Zayne. Zayne powers Lio back and shoves him to ropes. Lio runs, redirects, slips around and goes up the ropes to FLYING RA- NO, Zayne blocks and swings Lio up! Lio fights the bomb, Zayne blocks his kick and flips Lio, but Lio dodges and redirects again. Lio ducks the boot, shoves Zayne, but Zayne springboards to DOUBLE KNEE DROP Lio’s dropdown! Zayne keeps moving to MARIPOSA! Cover, TWO! Fans applaud and Zayne brings Lio up. Zayne puts Lio in the corner and tags in Lindaman.

The Gleat Sauce mugs Lio, double whips him corner to corner, then Zayne runs in to back elbow! Lindaman runs in to add an elbow, then Lindaman sets up. Zayne runs to leap frog, but Lio gets under! Lio slips around Lindaman to shove him at Zayne! They steady themselves and rush Lio, but Lio handsprings under their double clothesline! Lio kicks but Zayne blocks it. Zayne hands that to Lindaman, but Lindaman ducks the enziguri and Zayne takes the hit! Fans fire up, Lindaman drags Lio up and scoops to SLAM him! Lindaman drops an elbow and fans fire up! Lindaman runs, but he fakes the elbow to BLAST Yoh!

Lindaman goes out after Yoh and brings him around to POST him! Lindaman CLUBS Yoh down, then digs his knee into Yoh’s neck. Lio goes out to CLUB Lindaman! Lindaman CLUBS Yoh but Lio CLUBS Lindaman again. Lio kicks Lindaman into the ring and he coaches up Yoh. Fans rally up, Lio whips Lindaman into the corner. Lio runs in to clothesline and Yoh tags in. Lio whips Yoh in to back elbow Lindaman down! Fans rally as Yoh kicks and forearms Lindaman. Yoh kicks low, CHOPS Lindaman, but Lindaman gets in Yoh’s face. They start shoving, then Lindaman thrwos forearms. Yoh ROCKS Lindaman back!

Yoh whips, things speed up, and Yoh drop toeholds to run and basement dropkick! Fans applaud and Yoh stands on Lindaman with a cocky cover. ONE and Lindaman gets up to ROCK Yoh. Yoh throws a forearm back, they go back and forth, but Lindaman knee slow! They scrap, end up in a corner, then out of a corner as Lindaman CLUBS and RAMS Yoh! Lindaman sits Yoh down to stomp a mudhole in! The ref counts, Lindaman digs his boots in but lets off at 4. Fans rally as Lindaman looms over Yoh. Lindaman scoops and SLAMS Yoh, then covers, TWO! Lindaman basement dropkicks Yoh in the back! Cover, TWO!

Fans cheer as Lindaman drags Yoh up. Lindaman brings Yoh over, tags in Zayne, and Gleat Sauce DOUBLE CLUB Yoh down. Zayne brings Yoh up to snapmare and PENALTY KICK in the back! Fans applaud while Zayne looms over Yoh. Zayne sits Yoh up and hooks up an arm as well as the dragon sleeper! Yoh endures and fans rally up. Yoh fight sup, but Lindaman BLASTS Lio, then he dropkicks Yoh down! Fans rally, Zayne stomps Yoh to ropes. Yoh drags himself up but Zayne kicks him again. Yoh fires off forearms in return, but Zayne knees low. Zayne runs, Yoh handsprings to dodge! Yoh mule kicks the NECKBREAKERS!

Fans fire up while both men are down! Yoh and Zayne crawl, hot tags to Lindaman and Lio! The Bad Child rallies on Gleat Sauce, and he whips Lindaman to a corner. Lindaman reverses, Lio goes up and over, Zayne runs in but Lio hurdles him! Zayne runs into Lindaman, Lio runs, redirects around Zayne and then around Lindaman! Lio arm-drags Zayne then baits Lindaman into a KANGAROO KICK! Lio kips up to SPIN KICK Zayne! Fans fire up, Lio builds speed and DIVES into Lindaman! Young Lion Kosei Fujita keeps Lindaman from landing on the front row! Lio puts Lindaman in the ring and fans rally up.

Lio stalks Lindaman, builds speed, and SPEARS! Cover, but Zayne breaks it! Fans fire up and Yoh gets in to fire off hands on Zayne! Yoh knees Zayne in a corner, Lio fires off on Lindaman in the other. Zayne turns things around to CHOP Yoh then put him up top. Zayne GAMANGIRIS Yoh. Lio runs in but Zayne sends him into Yoh’s knees! Zayne uses Lio to get up and SUPER STEINER Yoh! Then Zayne GERMAN SUPLEXES Lio onto Yoh! Lindaman deadlifts Lio to another GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!! Lio survives being thrown around and fans fire up. Lindaman drags Lio up again, Zayne aims but Lio ducks, the SUPERKICK hits Lindaman!

Zayne is stunned, Lio slides under him but Zayne grabs a foot! Zayne drags Lio away, spins him around, but Lio victory rolls Zayne so he can hot tag Yoh! Yoh goes up to MISSILE DROPKICK Zayne down! Fans fire up with Direct Drive and he runs in at Lindaman! BIG back elbow, but Lindaman fires back! Yoh and Lindaman go back and forth and fans fire up! Yoh boxing elbows and runs to ROCK Lindaman! But Lindaman stays up to ROCK Yoh back! Lindaman runs to ROCK Yoh, but Yoh roars! Fans fire up as the two go forehead to forehead. They both run, DOUBLE FOREARMS stagger both men!

Yoh kicks but Lindaman blocks, to a CHOKE SLAM! Lindaman sits Yoh up to KICK him, then suplex. Yoh fights that to suplex and FALCON ARROW! But Lindaman roars as he stands up! Lindaman swings, but into a GERMAN SUPLEX! Lindaman flounders to a corner and fans fire up with Yoh! Yoh runs corner to corner but into a clinch! BUCKLE EXPLODER! Fans fire up and Lindaman rises. Lindaman drags Yoh up and KUMAGOROSHIS! Tag to Zayne and Zayne shouts, “ITADAKIMASU!” Zayne goes up top but Yoh sits up. Lio runs in and jumps off Yoh to CLOBBER Zayne! Zayne falls to the floor but Lindaman storms up on Lio.

Lindaman waistlocks, Lio switches but Lindaman breaks free. Lio fires off fast hands and a FOREARM! Lio whips, Lindaman reverses to SAYANAGI! And DDT! Fans fire up and Yoh JUMP KNEES! Yoh lifts Lindaman, tucks him in, SCHWEIN!! Fans fire up and Yoh PLANCHAS Zayne! Yoh puts Zayne in the ring, suplexes, but Zayne slips free! Zayne clamps on to wrap Yoh up, TACO- VICTORY ROLL!! Cover, TWO! Zayne has it, TWO!! Zayne stands up but Yoh ROCKS him! Zayne SLAPS Yoh! Zayne runs, but Yoh UPPERCUTS! Yoh runs, but Lindaman ELBOWS, ROLLING ELBOWS and SAIDOS!

Lindaman drags Yoh up, Zayne SUPERKICKS into the GERMAN SUPLEX! DOUBLE BRIDGE, but Lio break sit up! Yoh sunset flips, TWO!! Zayne runs in but Yoh gets around, FIVE STAR CLUTCH!! Yoh & Lio win!!

The Men of the Hour keep some time on the clock! Lindaman stands Yoh up to stare him down but Zayne and Lio keep those two apart. But then Yoh goes after Lindaman! Things seem to be boiling over between these two, will they and their partners make it to the finals to settle this in a rematch? Or will only one side make it to the end?

Super Jr. Tag League 2022: TJP & Francesco Akira VS DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru!

Catch 2/2 is still strong in the block, but they can’t afford to drop the ball now! Will the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions secure a spot in the finals? Or will Japones Del Mal & The Heel Master get a massive win in the main event?

Gideon Grey is of course here to give the introductions for the Public Enemy & Nova Fireball. The teams sort out and Kanemaru starts against TJP. Fans rally at the bell as TJP and Kanemaru circle. They feel things out, tie up and TJP wrenches an arm to a hammerlock. Kanemaru slips around, TJP wrenches him again, but Kanemaru wrenches back. TJP endures the wristlock, rolls and spins and cartwheels to bring Kanemaru down, for the twisting headscissors! Kanemaru kicks around, stands back up, and stacks to a cover, TWO! Kanemaru powers out of the headscissors to get a headlock. TJP powers out of that but feints the dropkick as Kanemaru holds ropes.

TJP and Kanemaru stare down but then run the ropes. They RAM shoulders, go again and both drop down! Then they both stand up, each man dodges a clothesline and TJP blocks a kick. Kanemaru tells him to put the foot down, and TJP slowly sets it down, only for Kanemaru to grab TJP’s foot! Fans applaud the savvy, and now TJP says to put the foot down. Kanemaru sets the foot down, to trip TJP with the other! TJP avoids the elbow drop, trips Kanemaru, but Kanemaru avoids the elbow drop! Fans fire up as they stand off. The clap for “CATCH! NI NI!” starts. TJP and Kanemaru back off to tag in Akira and Douki.

Douki and Akira talk some trash as they circle. Fans rally as the two knuckle lock, but then Akira kicks low. Akira headlocks, Douki powers out, things speed up and Douki hurdles. Akira shoves Douki to ropes, arm-drags him, but Douki arm-drags back. Things keep moving, Akira tilt-o-whirls and headscissors but Douki handsprings through! Douki dropkicks Akira down and fans fire up! Douki storms up and brings Akira around to CHOP! Akira flounders to a corner, Douki drags him back up. Douki CHOPS, then runs, but Akira follows to wheelbarrow. Douki waistlocks, Akira switches, Douki switches but Akira elbows him.

TJP runs in, gives Akira a boost into the wheelbarrow, and TJP BLASTS Kanemaru while Akira victory rolls! STOMP 182! Fans fire up and the Empire puts the crowns up. Fans clap for “CATCH! NI NI!” as they double whip Douki to ropes. SOBAT, KICK, and BASEMENT SHOTGUN! Cover, TWO! Fans rally and Akira brings Douki up, but Douki fires forearms. Akira DECKS Douki then kicks him around. Akira stands Douki up, tags TJP, and the champs mug Douki. Then TJP scoops to SLAM, and he goes out to slingshot SENTON! Cover, TWO! Fans rally and TJP drags Douki up. TJP snapmares Douki to scrape his sole on Douki’s face.

TJP has Douki’s legs, he steps through, and turns Douki over. Fans rally and TJP SNAP LOCKS! And again! TJP taunts Kanemaru and Desperado, then he bridges for the MUTA LOCK! Douki endures but Kanemaru storms in to stomp TJP down! Fans rally, TJP drags Douki back up. TJP steps over an arm, and pulls Douki into a SNAP BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Tag to Akira, Akira runs, and hops up! “Take picture! Take picture!” ELECTRIC CHAIR SENTON! Cover, but Kanemaru breaks it! Akira chases Kanemaru off then goes back to Douki. Akira drags Douki up but Douki throws body shots. Akira CHOPS Douki down!

Akira drags Douki up and ROCKS him, ROCKS him at the ropes, then runs. Douki does the splits and Akira tumbles out! Kanemaru POSTS Akira, Douki goes after TJP! Suzuki-Gun beats down the Empire, then Kanemaru brings Akira up to put on the apron. Douki holds Akira in place and Kanemaru DROPKICKS! Kanemaru tags, he covers, TWO! Kanemaru ELBOWS Akira in the head, then ELBOWS him again. Fans rally, Kanemaru brings Akira up and DDTs! Cover, TWO! CAMEL CLUTCH! Douki DROPKICKS TJP while Akira endures. Akira gets an arm free but Kanemaru ELBOWS him down!

Tag to Douki and Douki drags Akira up. Akira fires a forearm but Douki pushes him. Akira throws another forearm but Douki HELL STABS! Douki scoop SLAMS Akira, runs and DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO! Fans rally as Akira is still in this. Tag to Kanemaru and he stomps Akira around. Kanemaru toys with Akira but Akira gets up to ROCK Kanemaru. Kanemaru rakes the eyes! Red Shoes reprimands but Kanemaru throws Akira down. Kanemaru scrapes his sole off Akira’s face, then he BOOTS TJP down! Kanemaru stomps Akira to a corner, CLUBS him, but Akira hits back with forearms! Akira CHOPS, but Kanemaru rakes the eyes again!

Red Shoes reprimands, Kanemaru lets off to whip corner to corner. Kanemaru runs in to BOOT Akira, then he suplexes. Akira slips out, Kanemaru elbows him away, but Akira dodges the haymaker to ENZIGURI! Fans fire up while both men are down! Kanemaru grabs a leg but Akira kicks him away! Hot tag to TJP! TJP dodges Kanemaru, BOOTS Douki, then atomic drops Kanemaru to whip. Kanemaru reverses but TJP springboard LARIATS! TJP throws his shirt, free souvenir! TJP puts Kanemaru in a corner and fans rally as TJP scrapes Kanemaru’s face. TJP then runs side to side to BOOT WASH!

Fans fire up as TJP stands Kanemaru up for a TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! Fans rally and TJP calls his shot. TJP goes to the corner, hops right up top, and MAMBA- NO, TJP has to roll through as Kanemaru moves. Kanemaru kicks and whips but Akira tags in. TJP dodges Kanemaru, Akira runs in, RAILGUN DROPKICK! Kanemaru falls out but Douki runs in, into a double hip toss into a POWERBOMB NECKBREAKER! Fans fire up as Suzuki-Gun regroups outside. Akira builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit on both Douki & Kanemaru! Fans fire up with Akira and he drags Kanemaru back into the ring.

Akira stands Kanemaru up with chicken wings, TJP SUPERKICKS Kanemaru and Akira lifts him up, HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! Bridging cover, but Douki breaks it! TJP drags Douki up to throw him out, then he goes out after Douki. Akira fires up and fans rally. Akira reels Kanemaru in, but Kanemaru holds off Speedfire! Akira throws knee after knee, SPEED- NO, Kanemaru slips free! Akira whips, Kanemaru reverses and dropkicks Akira down! Fans rally as Kanemaru crawls over, hot tag to Douki! Douki climbs up as Akira stands, MISSILE DROPKICK! TJP runs in to kick and whip but Douki springboards to BACK ELBOW!

Fans rally as Douki brings Akira up to a scoop, swing and SAHARAWI SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Fans fire up as Akira escapes. Douki drags Akira up, Gory Especials, but Akira fights! Douki knees low, runs, but Akira kicks low. Akira waistlocks, half nelsons, but Douki elbows free. Akira still holds on, Douki breaks free with a leg to mule kick and ENZIGURI! Akira drops and fans fire up! Kanemaru storms in, he and Douki double whip Akira corner to corner. Douki runs in to clothesline, Kanemaru runs in to back elbow! Douki goes up, Kanemaru brings Akira around, BRITISH FALL to DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS! Douki covers, TWO!

Douki drags Akira into ITALIAN STRETCH #32! TJP runs in but Kanemaru dropkicks TJP’s legs out! Kanemaru steps through, FIGURE FOUR! Fans fire up as Catch 2/2 endure dual submissions! Akira fights up, Douki pulls harder on the stretch, and he drags Akira back down! Akira fights around to reach out, and he gets the ROPEBREAK with a foot! Douki holds until Red Shoes counts 4. Kanemaru lets TJP go while Douki goes to the apron. Fans rally for “CATCH! NI NI!” as Douki slingshots, DAY- NO, Akira blocks, shoves, and slips around to SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kanemaru gets in and dropkicks Akira’s legs out!

TJP runs in, dodges Kanemaru and ROLLING SOBATS him down! Douki LARIATS TJP down! Fans fire up while all four men are down! Akira and Douki stir while TJP and Kanemaru bail out. Fans rally, Gideon coaches Akira, and Akira sits up. Douki grabs Akira’s hair and brings him around. Douki ROCKS Akira with a forearm, but Akira ROCKS Douki back. They stand up and Douki ROCKS Akira! Akira ROCKS Douki! The forearms go back and forth, faster and faster, and fans rally up! Akira gets the edge, but Douki HELL STABS! Akira SUPERKICKS! Akira runs, but Douki ENZIGURIS! Fans fire up as Douki runs again, but into the ALLEY-OOP FACEBUSTER!

Akira drags Douki up for SPEEDFIRE! Cover, Kanemaru breaks it! Kanemaru BOOTS TJP but Akira DOUBLE CHOPS Kanemaru! Akira runs, but Kanemaru sends Red Shoes into him! ENZIGURI! Akira falls and Kanemaru gets his whiskey! Kanemaru tags a big swig, but TJP Electric Chair Lifts him! Akira hurries up top, but Kanemaru WHISKEY MISTS him down! Kanemaru slips off TJP, Gideon gets on the apron, so Kanemaru shoves TJP that way! TJP stops himself, ducks, and the WHISKEY MIST hits Gideon! TJP kicks Kanemaru, whips him, but Kanemaru tilt-o-whirls to DDT TJP down!

Fans fire up as TJP bails out and Douki aims at Akira! DAYBREAK!! Cover, TWO!?!? Akira survives and fans are thunderous! Douki roars, he drags Akira around to wheelbarrow! SUPLEX DE LA LUNA!!! Bridging cover, DOUKI & KANEMARU WIN!!!

Winners: Douki & Yoshinobu Kanemaru, by pinfall (gain 2 points; TJP & Akira earn 0)

Incredible! Did we just witness a miracle?! If not, we at least saw the biggest upset in Super Jr. Tag League ever! Will Catch 2/2 end up missing the tournament finals because of this loss? Or can they still lock down a spot in the final rounds?

As for Suzuki-Gun, Douki gets the mic to say, in English, “Hey! Hey, champions! Hey, look at me. You guys have many, many cool tag team moves. But this is real tag teamwork! Okay, get out. This is Douki’s time. Get out.” Fans cheer and Catch 2/2 move on. Fans cheer Douki on and he says, in Japanese, “We just beat the tag team champions! That deserves a bigger cheer, right?” Fans fire up for Douki, and he continues to say, “We just turned this tournament upside-down! Keep your eyes on us!” Fans cheer as Douki drops the mic. Japones Del Mal & The Heel Master may not be in the running, but will they be waiting on the other side of WrestleKingdom?

My Thoughts:

A great event for Super Junior Tag League, and what a wild main event. Douki & Kanemaru beating the tag team champions was not expected at all, and that is great stuff for them. It won’t get them into the tournament finals but they could come around and win the titles at some other point. The Wild Hips VS Flying Tigers was a very entertaining match, as to be expected with every Taguchi match. Taguchi & Connors get the win, not that it changes where they’re going in the tournament, but I wonder if Connors & Taguchi stick together past the tournament given that great chemistry.

And something else that was very interesting was Yoh and Lindaman getting at each other even after the match. I don’t know the story behind that, but I would think it’s for kayfabe. NJPW isn’t the kind to let things get heated backstage and then spill over into the ring, so this could be to set up a feud between Yoh & Lio VS Zayne & Lindaman in the background of the tag title scene.

AEW Continental Classic, Gold League: Will Ospreay VS Ricochet!

Wait, are the fans throwing white streamers or is that… No, yeah, it’s toilet paper! Ospreay laughs at the fans basically calling Ricochet crap. Ricochet throws the toilet paper back! The bell rings and we’re on the clock. The fans fire up for Ospreay as he and Ricochet circle. The fans also sing, “F HIM UP, OSPREAY, F HIM UP!” Ricochet shrugs that off, he and Ospreay tie up, and then Ricochet rolls. Ospreay shoots in, waistlocks, but Ricochet switches. They go around, Ricochet gator rolls with Ospreay, then floats to a headlock. Ricochet wrenches, hammerlocks then headlocks again. Ospreay powers up and out, Ricochet runs him over, but Ospreay kips up!

The fans cheer and Ospreay smiles as he and Ricochet reset. They tie up, go around, and Ricochet wrenches to a wristlock. Ospreay rolls, wrenches and wristlocks, but Ricochet spins and wrenches to hammerlock. Ospreay reaches back, headlocks and hits a takeover. Ricochet rolls to a cover, TWO! Ospreay holds onto the headlock but Ricochet powers up and out. Ospreay runs Ricochet over, Ricochet bails out, and then Ospreay handsprings to fake Ricochet out! The fans cheer as Ospreay superhero lands out, and Ricochet is annoyed. Ospreay holds ropes open for Ricochet, but Ricochet goes around the way to step in on his own.

The fans boo Ricochet being a bad sport but Ricochet ignores that. Ospreay and Ricochet knuckle lock, then Ricochet kicks low! And CHOPS! Ricochet whips, Ospreay reverses, but Ricochet rolls off Ospreay’s back! Things keep moving, Ospreay avoids the handspring to then duck ‘n’ dodges and RANA! But Ricochet handsprings through! The fans fire up, and Ospreay arm-drags Ricochet down! The fans cheer while Ricochet endures the grind. Ricochet fights up and puts Ospreay on ropes. The ref counts, Ricochet and Ospreay slowly let g o, and Ricochet SLAPS Ospreay! Ospreay CHOPS Ricochet!

Ospreay takes a swing, Ricochet ducks under to roll back and RANA! But now Ospreay handsprings through! Ricochet dodges to waistlock but Ospreay bucks the O’Conner. Ricochet arm-drags Ospreay down, but Ospreay headscissors back! Ricochet pops free but Ospreay arm-drags! Ricochet headscissors, Ospreay pops free, and Ospreay handsprings, but Ricochet catches him! Ricochet then THROWS Ospreay into the Tree of Woe, and Ospreay falls down! The fans boo while Ospreay bails out, but Ricochet FOSBURY FLOPS! The fans boo but Ricochet takes the toilet paper to wipe himself, then he SMOTHERS Ospreay with it!

The fans boo that literally disgusting act of disrespect, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Ricochet taunts the fans, then drags Ospreay up. Ricochet puts Ospreay in, soaks up more heat, then KNEE-BOARD SENTONS! Ricochet swaggers to taunt the fans more, then he goes back to Ospreay. Cover, ONE!! Another cover, TWO! Ricochet taunts the fans more, then goes back for Ospreay. Ricochet stands Ospreay up to CHOP, and Ospreay goes to a corner. Ospreay is down in a daze but Ricochet has to shake out the stars in his own head. Ricochet covers, ONE! Ospreay then uses that one to flip off Ricochet. Ricochet RAMS Ospreay in the back! Ospreay runs, handsprings, NEURALIZER KICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! Ospreay goes to the apron, takes aim, and he springboards to PIP PIP CHEERIO! Down goes Ricochet, Ospreay covers, TWO! Ospreay stays focused and the fans rally up. Ospreay drags Ricochet up, CHOPS him, then CHOPS him again! Ricochet staggers, Ospreay runs, but Ricochet TIGER WALL KICKS! Forearm, SOBAT, and Ricochet runs, but into a POP-UP, and STYLES- NO, Ricochet sits up, slips free, and he underhooks Ospreay for a FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Ospreay survives but Ricochet goes up.

Ricochet has to double clutch, the fans let him hear it, but Ricochet still MOONSAULTS! Ricochet lands out as Ospreay moves, and Ospreay runs up, but into an ELBOW! Ricochet handsprings, but into a pop-up, Electric Chair, spin around, STYLES CLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Ricochet survives and Ospreay is surprised. Ospreay pulls on the elbow pad and the fans fire up! “This is Awesome!” as Ospreay aims, but Ricochet bails out! The fans boo but Ospreay storms after Ricochet. They’re both on the apron and Ospreay goes up a corner. Ricochet anchors Ospreay first! Then Ricochet has the Electric Chair Lift!

Ospreay fights free, fights off a nelson, then he KICKS Ricochet! Ospreay runs, but into a pop-up APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! The fans chant “You Still Suck!” but Ricochet adds a SHOOTING STAR PRESS! Ricochet puts Ospreay in, then springboards to 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives, but then Ricochet AX KICKS! Dragon sleeper, inverted suplex, VERTIGO! Cover, TWO!? Ospreay survives and Ricochet is shocked! Ricochet snarls and he aims from a corner. The fans rally for Ospreay but Ricochet loads up. SPIRIT- NO, Ospreay ducks under! Ospreay gets up, Ricochet blocks a kick!

Ricochet V-TRIGGERS, then he reels Ospreay in! But Ospreay fights out of the bomb, but then Ricochet returns the favor! Ricochet suplexes, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Ospreay springboards for the OSC- CUTTER FROM RICOCHET!! Ricochet hurries to get Ospreay up, powerbomb into fireman’s carry, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! SPIRIT- HIDDEN BLADE!! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous! Ospreay and Ricochet both slowly sit up and the fans rally as hard as ever. Ricochet and Ospreay stare down, talk a bit of trash, then stand up. Ospreay draws a line in the sand and dares Ricochet to step up.

Ricochet steps right up, they stand toe to toe, literally! They start firing forearms! The fans cheer Ospreay, boo Ricochet, and Ricochet wobbles! But then Ricochet comes back with forearm after forearm! Ospreay wobbles, but he grins as he rises and roars! Ospreay fires a flurry on Ricochet, then ROCKS him! Ricochet flops over, Ospreay hauls him up! But Ricochet grabs at the ref! Ospreay kicks Ricochet’s arm away, but then Ricochet RAMS Ospreay into the ref! The fans boo but then Ricochet hurries to HOOK KICK! And VERTI- NO, Ospreay slips free to underhook! STORM BREAKER! Cover, but the ref is down!

The fans count, Ospreay would’ve won twice over! Ospreay calls to the ref, the ref sputters around, and Ospreay goes up. But then Ricochet kicks the ref into ropes! Ospreay gets tripped up and the fans boo more! Ospreay is confused as to what happened, but SPIRIT GUN hits the mark!! Cover, RICOCHET WINS!

Well anyway, Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold and- Callis takes the mic, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans boo and Schiavone excuses himself as Callis says the Don Callis Family are the TRUE One Percenters of professional wrestling! They prove it each and every day!

Murder Machines: The most feared tag team in the world! “Don Callis’ favorite wrestler,” Kyle Fletcher, shows every day why he is THE One Percent! He beat Will Ospreay! He beat Kazuchika Okada! And now, he’s gonna beat Daniel Garcia and win the Continental Classic! Callis hands the mic over to Kyle and Kyle says it might be true that last Saturday wasn’t the best day for Kyle, but anyone watching that match saw the clear bias from the officials in this company! The fans boo as Kyle claims there is an agenda in AEW to see the Don Callis Family NOT succeed. But it doesn’t matter, it changes nothing!

Kyle WILL be the winner of the 2024 Continental Classic. That brings Kyle to Daniel Garcia. “You wanna talk about restoring the feeling, Daniel? I couldn’t care less about your feelings! All I speak are facts! And the fact is, I am the hottest young prospect in this industry, and I will be the future of this whole place!” The fans boo more but Callis says one last thing he wants to say, is when you’re the One Percent, you’re not like the other 99! They are not like all of these fans! They are not like “the boys in the back,” like Mark Davis & Will Hobbs, “a couple of scab workers!” They’re not even in the same business, Hobbs!

And Callis has waited to get Hobbs on a PPV so that the world could watch why they call Konosuke Takeshita “The Alpha.” And Hobbs, YOU are not in the same business as Konosuke, and you find that out at Worlds End! But speaking of, here comes the Powerhouse! Will he and Dunkzilla finish things with the Don Callis Family? Or will the AEW International and ROH World TV Champions get even for last week?

The teams sort out and Konosuke starts against Hobbs to give the DC fans a preview of Worlds End. Hobbs and Konosuke step up, talk trash, and then the forearms go back and forth! The fans cheer for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” and Hobbs ROCKS Konosuke! Hobbs even shouts “MEAT!” before he whips Konosuke. Konosuke ducks ‘n’ dodges but then so does Hobbs! Hobbs SPINE- NO, Konosuke flails free and Hobbs says it was that close. Konosuke says to cool off while he paces on the outside. Konosuke steps back into the ring, but he tags to Cage. The fans stay fired up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as Cage and Hobbs circle.

Hobbs and Cage DOUBLE LARIAT! Neither man falls, so they DOUBLE LARIAT again! And again! And again! Cage kicks low, shouts, “Who Betta Than Cage?” But then Hobbs CLOBBERS him! Hobbs even gets Konosuke to back down with a glare. Hobbs brings Cage up to fire forearms, then he tags Davis. Davis & Hobbs double whip and DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! The fans fire up as Davis stalks Cage to a corner. Davis CHOPS Cage, and CHOPS again! And CHOPS again! Cage sputters but Davis scoops to SLAM Cage down! Then ELBOW DROP! Cover, ONE! Cage stays in this but Davis bumps him off buckles.

Tag to Hobbs and he brings Cage out. Hobbs and Davis reel Cage in, fans chant “AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE! MEAT MEAT MEAT!” but Konosuke makes the save! Konosuke swings, Hobbs dodges, so the elbow DECKS Davis! Hobbs ROCKS Konosuke, Cage ROCKS Hobbs! Cage clinches, Konosuke returns, KNEE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Cage covers, TWO! Cage rains down fists, the ref reprimands, but Cage steps off. Cage drags Hobbs up, bumps him off buckles, and tags Konosuke. The Callis Family stomps a mudhole into Hobbs, but then Hobbs CHOPS Konosuke! Konosuke snarls, and he CHOPS in return!

Konosuke ROCKS Hobbs, climbs up, and he rains down fists! The fans count but then Konosuke BITES Hobbs on the forehead! The ref counts, Konosuke lets off, and Hobbs sputters on the ropes. Konosuke tags to Cage and the Family gets Hobbs up. They DOUBLE SUPLEX Hobbs! Cage covers, TWO! Cage drags Hobbs up but Hobbs fires body shots. Hobbs UPPERCUTS but Cage ROCKS Hobbs! Cage ROCKS Hobbs again, Hobbs fires back, repeat! The fans rally for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Cage gets the edge, then whips, but Hobbs KICKS him away! Cage swings, Hobbs bobs ‘n’ weaves, to then hit an EXPLODER!

The fans fire up while Hobbs crawls, hot tag to Davis! Davis fires hands on Cage, “MEAT! MEAT!” Davis DECKS Cage, then whips him to ropes. Cage reveres but Davis picks him up, BACKDROP! Davis SENTONS but onto knees! Davis writhes, Cage tags Konosuke! POWER- NO, Davis stops the knee! Davis takes a swing but Konosuke ducks that, to BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! High stack, TWO!! Davis survives and Konosuke snarls, but Rampage goes picture in picture.

Konosuke rains down fists on Davis, but lets off as the ref reprimands. Konosuke tags Cage and Cage drags Davis up. Cage ROCKS Davis, whips him into a corner, and Davis hits buckles chest first! Cage RAMS into Davis, and RAMS in again, then CHOPS! Davis staggers but Cage whips him to ropes. Davis reverses, to dosido with Cage, only for Cage to CLOBBER Davis! Cage BOOTS Davis down, covers, but Hobbs breaks it! Cage gets mad and the ref reprimands Hobbs, then Cage soaks up heat from DC. Cage stalks Davis to a corner and fires haymakers! The ref reprimands but Cage DECKS Davis! Cage soaks up more heat while he flexes.

Holiday Bash returns to single picture while Davis crawls. Cage storms over but Davis fires hands! Davis CHOPS, CHOPS, but Cage JUMP KNEES! Cage whips Davis, Davis cartwheels and swings on Cage! Cage blocks, waistlocks, but Davis switches! BIG back suplex! The fans fire up as Davis rises and reaches out! Davis crawls, as does Cage, hot tags to Hobbs and Konosuke! Hobbs LARIATS Konosuke, LARIATS again, then runs up to LARIAT in a corner! Cage runs up but he’s send into Konosuke! Hobbs SANDWEICHES the Family! Hobbs whips, Cage reverses, but Hobbs comes back to CLOBBER him! Hobbs scoops Cage for a POWERSLAM!

The fans fire up but Konosuke runs up! Hobbs scoops him, too! POWERSLAM! Hobbs pumps up and the fans are with him! Hobbs stomps and shakes the ropes, then he goes back for Konosuke. Konosuke rises, Hobbs pops him up, but Konosuke ELBOWS him! Konosuke fires hands, then ROLLING ELBOWS! Hobbs staggers, Konosuke whips him, but Hobbs reverses! SPINEBUSTER! Cover, Davis blocks Cage, but Cage SHOVES Davis onto the cover! Cage then TOSSES Davis out, and he goes back for Hobbs. Hobbs TOSSES Cage! Hobbs grins as he has Konosuke alone. The straps come down, and Hobbs runs up, only for Konosuke to dodge!

Konosuke runs, Cage tags in, and Konosuke BOOTS Hobbs in the corner! Cage runs up to UPPERCUT, GAMANGIRI, and then GERMAN SUPLEX! Hobbs flounders, Cage hauls him up, PUMP HANDLE FACEBUSTER!! Cover, TWO!! Hobbs survives and Cage is furious! Cage tags Konosuke, the Family gets Hobbs up, and they double wrench to double whip. But Hobbs breaks the double lariat and Davis tags in! The dysfunction in Top Flight Airlines led to The Bad Child & The Sight to See winning over Darius & Dante Martin, meaning they’re next up to face Private Party. Will this be little more than a tune-up for Lio & Action?

The teams sort out, Lio starts against Myles, but then Lio handspring kicks Goldy off the apron! Myles back suplexes but Lio lands out and then dodges! Myles falls out of the ring, Action handspring kicks him down! Lio DIVES onto Goldy! Action DIVES onto Myles! The fans fire up as Action puts Myles in fast. Lio joins Action and they mug Myles. Renee is now with the “multifaceted” Harley and notes she’s in action against Willow Nightingale tonight. Harley says yes, she IS multifaceted. She wants us to appreciate ALL her facets! Renee says yes, but she has yet to earn a singles win in AEW. Fine, ruin her fun. But then Harley asks if some person off camera is gonna say anything or just stand there. In steps Penelope Ford, and Mrs. Superbad says yes, she was simply observing. But Ford couldn’t help but notice that she and Harley share a lot of similar… facets. Harley asks how much Ford’s cost. Uh, no, not those…

Ford meant that she hasn’t had such a good 2024, either. So from The Bad Girl to the… Harley doesn’t have a good nickname yet. Well, don’t worry about it. Ford will watch Harley’s back and Harley will watch Ford’s. Wait, is something on Harley’s back? No, Harley… Just good luck. FEEL THE WRATH OF HARLEY CAMERON! No, she was being nice to you, Harley. Willow accepts the knuckle locks, but then Harley kicks low! Harley runs, wheelbarrows, but Willow turns that into a BIG back suplex! The fans cheer as Willow runs, DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO! Willow bumps Harley off buckles, then fires LARIAT after LARIAT! The fans count al the way to TEN!

Willow brings Harley out with a smile, and scoop SLAMS her! Harley flounders, Willow storms up on her for another scoop and SLAM, right as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Willow storms around while Harley staggers up. Willow scoops Harley again, then carries her around to put her in the Tree of Woe! Willow stomps a mudhole in, then lets off to run up! But Harley BOOTS her while upside-down! Harley gets free, ELBOWS Willow, then runs to knee her low! Harley runs with Willow to HOTSHOT BULLDOG! Willow is stuck in ropes, and Harley AX KICKS her! Harley then headscissors Willow to CHOKE her in the ropes! The ref counts, Harley lets go at 4, and Harley soaks up cheers and jeers from DC. Harley stomps Willow, then drags her to the outside. Harley SMACKS Willow off the apron!

Harley paces while Willow flounders, and Harley has her against railing. Harley CHOPS Willow, then brings her around. Willow blocks the bump to SMACK Harley off the apron! While the rest of Gold League stands at 6 points, these two men are struggling to keep up. Will the King of Death join that traffic jam at the front of the block? Or will the Commander of the Skies be a spoiler for Christmas?

The bell rings and we’re on the clock. Brody and Komander circle while the fans bark it up. There are fans who sing “OLE~ OLE OLE OLE~” for Komander as the two tie up. But then Brody picks Komande up with both hands, and puts him on the to rope. Brody pats Komander on the shoulder, and the fans bark more. Komander hops down, not intimidated by Brody’s size. Komander then dodges Brody, DROPKICKS him, but Brody CLOBBERS Komander on the return! Brody eggs Komander on and then scuffs him. Komander gets mad and CHOPS! Brody grins and eggs Komander on. Komander CHOPS, but Brody wants more!

Komander fires up to CHOP, but Brody CHOPS Komander down! The fans fire up and Brody grins. Komander sputters, Brody paces, and Brody drags Komander up. Brody CHOPS Komander again! Brody bumps Komander off buckles, CHOPS again, and Komander flounders away! Brody stalks Komander to the corner, CHOPS him again, and Komander falls over! Brody hauls Komander up, whips him, but Komander goes up and over! Komander ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Brody BACKDROPS Komander! The fans bark while Komander writhes, and Brody drags Komander up. But Komander fires body shots and a CHOP!

Brody KNEES low and Komander drops. Brody CHOPS Komander again! Brody asks, “Are you done?!” Brody whips Komander, but Komander ducks ‘n’ dodges to then springboard, but Brody catches Komander with ease! Brody pops Komander up, but Komander pops free, sunset flip, ONE!! Brody drags Komander up and CLUBS him! Komander wobbles, Brody ROCKS him again! Brody drags Komander off the ropes, suplexes, but Komander slips around! SLEEPER! Big men still have to breathe, but Brody RAMS Komander into the buckles! Brody swings, misses, and that bad hand hits post! Komander fires KICKS on the legs!

Komander bobs ‘n’ weaves, kicks, mule kicks and ENZIGIRIS! Brody wobbles and the fans rally up! Komander knuckle locks, CHOPS, and he goes up and up and jumps around! But Brody breaks the grip and DOUBLE CHOPS Komander to the floor! The fans bark it up and the ref checks Komander while Rampage goes picture in picture.

Brody storms out after Komander, who is somehow still in this. Brody drags Komander up, and he whips Komander hard into railing! Brody revels in the DC dogs barking, and Brody stands Komander up. Brody CHOPS Komander off his feet, then refreshes the ring count. Brody drags Komander up, and whips him hard into railing! So hard, in fact, that Komander goes up and over! Brody hurries to haul Komander back up, and he suplexes Komander to the floor! Komander writhes more while Brody refreshes the count again. Brody goes back to Komander, scuffs him, and brings him back up.

Komander KICKS Brody, CHOPS, but Brody CHOPS him down! Brody revels in the noise from DC while he stands on Komander’s neck! The ref reprimands, Brody steps off and rolls into the ring. Brody again refreshes the count so he can fetch Komander. Brody puts Komander in the ring, covers, TWO! Komander is still in this but Brody is more amused than anything. Brody paces then brings Komander up. Brody CHOPS Komander to a corner, then revels in the noise a bit more. Brody then digs his boot into Komander, but lets off as the ref counts. Brody drags Komander up to CHOP, but Komander CHOPS! Brody CHOPS Komander down!

Brody digs his boots in again, but the ref counts. Brody steps away, then drags Komander to his feet. Brody ROCKS Komander as the Holiday Bash returns to single picture. Brody eggs Komander on, stands him up, and ROCKS him again! Komander flops against ropes but Brody dares him to keep fighting. Komander staggers up, but Brody CHOPS him! Komander is stinging but Brody ROCKS him! Brody whips, Komander ducks ‘n’ dodges to QUEBRADA, but Brody catches him! But Komander slips down into the STANDING BONE LOCK! The fans fire up but Brody powers up! Brody THROWS Komander right off! SENTON FLOPS as Komander moves!

Komander hurries to basement DROPKICK! The fans fire up as Brody and Komander both crawl to ropes! They both stand, Brody runs up, but Komander swings around, CRUCIFIX DRIVER! Brody flops out to the floor! Komander sees that and the fans fire up! Komander builds going side to side, and he goes up and up and CROSSBODIES, but Brody catches him! Brody RAMS Komander into the railing! And then whips him hard into more railing! Brody makes Komander take a seat, then CHOPS him! The fans bark with Brody as he gets space, and Brody runs back in, but Komander ducks! Brody CRASHES into railing!!

Komander has the fans all fired up as he rises! Komander rolls into the ring, the count is climbing, but Brody is rising! So Komander runs corner to corner to go up, up and AWAY!! Direct hit with that escalara cannonball! The fans fire up as Komander rises again! Komander and Brody both head for the ring while fans sing again, “OLE~ OLE OLE OLE~!” Komander has Brody in the drop zone! Komander goes up the corner, but Brody CLUBS him first! Brody has Komander in the Electric Chair Lift, then goes up the corner!? But Komander fights, shifts, and SUPER SUSNET FLIP POWERBOMBS!!

Brody is in the drop zone again and Komander rises! 450 SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Brody survives and Komander cannot believe it! “This is Awesome!” as Komander rises and goes to another corner. Komander tunes up the band, runs corner to corner, but Brody SLAPS him first! Brody runs but Komander dodges, Brody POSTS himself! Komander is on the apron and he runs up, to SHOTGUN Brody to the floor! Brody sputters, Komander climbs the corner, and the fans are thunderous! Komander springboards to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Another direct hit and Komander feels so close to his first points in the C2!

Komander hurries to get in the ring, but then slides out to start a new ring count. Komander climbs again while Brody rises. Komander watches Brody slide in, then tightrope walks to CIELITO LINDO!! But that was on Brody’s back! Komander pushes Brody but that’s a lot of dead weight to push! Brody sits up but Komander KICKS him! Komander roars, the fans fire up, handspring- TORTURE RACK! Brody flips Komander around, GONZO BOMB!! Cover, Brody wins!!

Winner: Brody King, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Komander earns 0)

If it wasn’t clear before, this was a painful punctuation mark, Komander is mathematically ELIMINATED from the semifinals. However, Komander’s final C2 match is Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street against Claudio Castagnoli! Can Komander be the biggest spoiler of this entire tournament? Can Brody prove to everyone in the Gold League that the House Always Wins?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here for Holiday Bash, though some clear redundancies from last week’s Winter is Coming edition. We got another group Don Callis Promo, and we barely got anything different from Callis and Kyle. The tag match’s only changes were Cage switching in for Archer, even though Cage is in reality defending his ROH World TV Championship in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, and then the Callis Family wins this time so Hobbs and Konosuke can be even going towards Worlds End. Now, Konosuke could very well retain the International Championship at Worlds End because NJPW is totally open to Konosuke Takeshita VS Shingo Takagi being Winner Takes All, AEW International and NEVER Openweight titles on the line together.

Lio & Action of course won their match, but the real purpose was to get a confrontation out of them, Private Party and OG Top Flight, Darius & Dante. Good stuff, and it teases anywhere between a Triple Threat to Lio & Action VS Darius & Dante Round 2. Very good promo from Triple J to set up for something, anything really, for 2025. Fight for the Fallen can even be the start of whatever that plan is as part of the “mother of all streams.” And good stuff with the women’s division tonight. Ford & Harley makes a natural duo now given their names, and Willow and Kris could possibly reunite now that Kris is a Face again. That wouldn’t really make up for the weird fumble in the middle where Tony Khan just wanted Kris to get away from Stokely, but hey, this story itself could be really well done.

And great stuff out of Brody VS Komander, really got the drama going before the end. I mean, we all knew Komander was out of the running before tonight, and was most certainly taking the loss here, but Komander got to really show some grit. And now, five people at 6 points going into the final round, they’re really adding great drama to Gold League. Collision tomorrow and then Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street will be some great stuff, but I still think Ospreay should be one of the semifinalists, the second spot can be whoever they want.
