The Nerds disagree as to The Acolyte and The Boys, Xbox had a great week, Superman’s cast fills in some gaps, and is a Spaceballs sequel in the offing?

After The Acolyte caused some definite dissension among the Bandwagon last week, the division and difference of opinion among your favorite Nerds was doubled this week. Episode 3 of The Acolyte did nothing to assuage the dissension among the guys as far as the latest entry into the mythology of a galaxy far, far away. But then, we saw a similar division of opinion with respect to the first two Episodes of Season 4 of The Boys. What are the Nerds liking and what are they just not feeling with two of the biggest series of 2024? A short visit to the Trailer Park looks at the Sausage Party series none of the Nerds was asking for, and another solid property for Apple TV with a very interesting series called Sunny. Speaking of things no one asked for, we are getting a Director’s Cut of Rebel Moon and Patrick’s disgust can be felt many light years away. James Gunn rounds out his cast for his new Superman movie, Xbox had a tremendous week with their Showcase event and is a Spaceballs sequel possible? Tune in and find out.

BWN got preempted for a day due to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. But that does not mean that there is not a lot to discuss on this week’s installment of BWN. The Nerds continue their review of The Boys, Season 4. This week, they review Episodes 3 & 4 and in the immortal words of Dr. Peter Venkman, Homelander has gone bye-bye. Things go from bad to very worse over these two Episodes and the gang has you covered with all the details. A visit to the Trailer Park finds the Nerds checking out the latest trailers for Kinds of Kindness, Smile 2 and The Penguin. In News Around the Nerdosphere, they guys explore the possibility of a Netflix-centric theme park (of sorts), confirm that Spaceballs 2 is happening, mourn the loss of Donald Sutherland, and try to come to grips with the possibility that Star Wars could go R-rated?

The latest Star Wars series, The Acolyte, caused a definite disturbance in The Force among the Nerds this week. The guys discuss the first two Episodes but take a larger look at how the rampant review bombing of series like The Acolyte makes it very difficult to focus on valid issues and concerns fans might have about a series. In any event, the Nerds had some issues with the new show to be sure but was it enough to turn them off from the series entirety after just two Episodes. A visit to the Trailer Park looks at the latest for Season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina, the third installment of the Venom series, and the latest entry from the Aliens franchise that definitely harkens back to the feel of the original movie from 1979! In News Around The Nerdosphere, Godzilla: Minus One continues to rewrite the record books, a favorite from the MCU retires, and casting rumors for the upcoming Beatles biopic has the guys excited.
