BWN returns for unquestionably the biggest week in entertainment in 2024. The MCU returned this week with a bullet. All the guys went to see Deadpool and Wolverine and had their thoughts. Everyone loved the movie for a variety of reasons. But is it the movie that will propel the MCU forward into 2025 and beyond? Regardless, San Diego Comic-Con was back in full force for the first time since the pandemic. Historically, Marvel’s Hall H reveals have been rather epic, and this year was no exception. From confirmed release dates to the stunning reveal of Dr. Doom….and the even more stunning reveal of who will be playing him….the MCU announced that the rumors of its demise had been greatly exaggerated. SDCC spawned a massive amount of news and trailers, and the guys cover a ton of them in the Episode, including trailers for Kaos, Transformers One, Creature Commandos, and much more. There was so much to discuss and mark out over the past few days and the guys are your guides through all things Deadpool, Wolverine, SDCC, and everything in between. LFG indeed!

This week, the full complement of Nerds celebrates Father’s Day by looking at new trailers for Iron Heart and Superman. There was also a pleasant surprise this week, as a sequel to Spaceballs was officially announced, along with the return of some beloved cast members from the original. The live-action Legend of Zelda has been delayed by a few weeks. Is this a big nothing burger or a reason to be concerned? Disney & Universal take aim at MidJourney with a landmark lawsuit that could have big implications for AI-generated images moving forward. The guys say farewell to Sly Stone and Brian Wilson. Bandwagon Nerds #292: Where’s Michael’s Guitar?
The first ever Movie Year Draft highlight’s this week’s Episode. Plus, the Trailer Park rolls on, as does the search for a missing guitar from Back to the Future.
This week, Patrick is back just in time for the Nerds to embark upon a fun, one-day project. On this Episode, we have our first-ever Movie Year Draft. The rules were simple (even though Dave kind of messed it up) … pick a year and justify that year as being one of the best for movies by listing at least four standout films. Simple enough. Suffice it to say that with 20 years eligible for consideration and discussion, almost everyone’s favorite will be discussed at some point in the countdown. The guys also return to the Trailer Park to look at the latest for Alien: Earth, Wicked For Good, and Deep Cover. In News Around the Nerdosphere, the quest to find Michael J. Fox’s guitar from Back to the Future takes shape, and a front-runner may have emerged to take the reins at Disney. All that and more on another great installment of Bandwagon Nerds.
