In between shows and conferences, this week’s BWN is a mis-mash of news, trailers, and speculation. The guys begin by previewing D23, Disney’s showcase event coming our way this weekend. From Marvel, to Star Wars, to Disney Parks, and all points in-between, the guys give their take on what they are expecting from the mega-event and what they are looking forward to the most. The trailer park is tiny this week as the guys look at a much more impressive Hellboy trailer that we got at SDCC last week, and also at Kevin Smith’s latest film, The 4:30 Movie. Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine continue to break records, Lego’s August lineup threatens to leave DPP broke, James Gunn broke the news that Superman has finished filing, and a few hearts were broken to learn that Game Informer was ending. The guys close the show by taking a long look at some of the lore behind Tony Stark turning into Dr. Doom and which of the several story arcs out there might be best translated to the big screen.

This week, the full complement of Nerds celebrates Father’s Day by looking at new trailers for Iron Heart and Superman. There was also a pleasant surprise this week, as a sequel to Spaceballs was officially announced, along with the return of some beloved cast members from the original. The live-action Legend of Zelda has been delayed by a few weeks. Is this a big nothing burger or a reason to be concerned? Disney & Universal take aim at MidJourney with a landmark lawsuit that could have big implications for AI-generated images moving forward. The guys say farewell to Sly Stone and Brian Wilson. Bandwagon Nerds #292: Where’s Michael’s Guitar?
The first ever Movie Year Draft highlight’s this week’s Episode. Plus, the Trailer Park rolls on, as does the search for a missing guitar from Back to the Future.
This week, Patrick is back just in time for the Nerds to embark upon a fun, one-day project. On this Episode, we have our first-ever Movie Year Draft. The rules were simple (even though Dave kind of messed it up) … pick a year and justify that year as being one of the best for movies by listing at least four standout films. Simple enough. Suffice it to say that with 20 years eligible for consideration and discussion, almost everyone’s favorite will be discussed at some point in the countdown. The guys also return to the Trailer Park to look at the latest for Alien: Earth, Wicked For Good, and Deep Cover. In News Around the Nerdosphere, the quest to find Michael J. Fox’s guitar from Back to the Future takes shape, and a front-runner may have emerged to take the reins at Disney. All that and more on another great installment of Bandwagon Nerds.
