According to the tron, Rocky & Yoh are the NEW Roppongi Vice! No Sho, no Trent, no worries, just Chaos. Yoh even makes the pecs dance! Since when could he do that? Is he going to stop? Yoh stops, hops off the corner, and the teams sort out. Yoh starts against Paris. The fans rally for “YOH! YOH! YOH!” but then London gets fans to cheer on “Paris! Paris!” Paris and Yoh circle, feel things out, and tie up. Yoh kicks low, wrenches, then wristlocks, but Paris rolls and wrenches in return. Yoh rolls, kips up, and wrenches again, to hammerlock then headlock. Paris powers up and out, but Yoh runs him over!

The fans cheer, but then Paris kips up! Paris runs, Yoh drops, then Yoh hurdles. Paris RANAS and the fans fire up! Yoh is up, but Paris WHEEL KICKS him down! Cover, TWO! The fans rally and Paris stays cool. Paris drags Yoh up, then ROCKS him with a forearm! And ELBOWS him to ropes! Paris kicks low, whips, but Rocky tags in as Yoh reverses. They bypass, drop toehold and basement dropkick! London run sin but RPG Vice double kick! Then they shoutout Bishamon with “Se no!” DRUM BEAT! The fans cheer and Rocky ROCKS London. Yoh kicks Paris, RPG Vice whip them to corners! Then they fire up, run up, but into BOOTS!

The VeloCities turn things around to whip but RPG Vice reverse. The VeloCities dosido, but then RPG Vice dodge! RPG Vice run up again, but VeloCities dodge! VeloCities run and UPPERCUT! They whip Rocky, big dropdown from London to smokescreen the DROPKICK from Paris! The fans fire up, Yoh runs in, but The VeloCities dodge, leapfrog and DROPKICK! RPG Vice regroups outside, The VeloCities build speed, DOUBLE DIVE! The fans fire up and London puts Rocky in for Paris. Paris covers, TWO! Paris drags Rocky up, tag to London, and the VeloCities mug Rocky with ax handles. Rocky staggers, but he BACKHANDS London!

Rocky CHOPS, forearms, repeat, but London mule kicks! London whips, Rocky reverses but London 619s Rocky in the gut! London then springboards to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Rocky stays in this and the fans rally up, but London facelocks. London brings Rocky up, Manhattan Drops, then trips Rocky. London ties up the legs, shifts around, FIGURE FOUR COBRA! Rocky endures, fights up, but London has him trapped! Rocky flails, reaches out, frees his legs, and he HIP TOSSES London away! The fans fire up while both men are down! Rocky and London crawl, hot tag to Paris! Paris uses Rocky to LEAP at Yoh!

Yoh falls, Paris runs at Rocky to tilt-o-whirl, backpack, and COBRA TWIST! Rocky flails as he endures all over again! Rocky marches his way back, ROPEBREAK, but London tags in. Paris lets go of Rocky to wrench his arm again and again. London climbs, then AX- NO, Rocky dodges! Rocky shoves Paris into London! Rocky runs up, but the VeloCities double wrench to DOUBLE BACK SUPLEX! Rocky lands out, to DOUBLE RANA! The fans fire up and Rocky crawls for his corner! Hot tag to Yoh! Yoh CLOBBERS London again and again! Yoh whips, London reverses, but Yoh FLYING FOREARMS!

The fans rally as Yoh sees Paris coming. Yoh blocks a kick to DRAGON SCREW! The fans fire up again as Yoh brings London up. Yoh scoops and SLAMS, then ELBOW DROPS! Cover, TWO! Yoh KNEE DROPS to cover again! TWO, and Yoh SPLASHES down! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as London survives that string of moves. Yoh drags London up, reels him in, but London fights the suplex. Yoh fires body shots, suplexes, but London knees free. London swings, but into a half nelson! London elbows free, runs and springboards, FLYING STUNNER! Yoh flops over and London calls for Paris. But Rocky whips London first!

London handsprings to STUNNER! The fans fire up as London crawls, hot tag to Paris! The Spartan Spirit and the Groovy Gladiator both run in, BOOT GAMANGIRI COMBO on Yoh! The VeloCities then coordinate, London goes up, BLOCKBUSTER LEG SWEEP COMBO! Paris covers, TWO!! Yoh survives and the fans fire up! The VeloCities haul Yoh up top, Paris gets under, and London clinches. But Yoh fights free of London, then rains down fists on Paris! Yoh ROCKS Paris, kicks London, repeat! Yoh runs, but into a BOOT SUPERKICK COMBO! The VeloCities drag Yoh up to double whip him into the corner.

London sends Paris in but Yoh dodges to then DROPKICK London! The fans fire up and Rocky is back in! Rocky drags London up, puts him in a corner, and winds up! Rocky LARIATS Paris, then LARIATS London! Then back to Paris! London dodges, but Rocky DOUBLE LARIATS The VeloCities! The fans fire up with Rocky and he coordinates with Yoh. BACKSTABBER and feed into the FALCON ARROW! Cover, London breaks it! The fans fire up again, Rocky drags London up, but then ducks the kick! The ROUNDHOUSE hits Yoh, and London HEEL KICKS Rocky! London fires up, runs, but into a DOUBLE JUMP KNEE!

RPG Vice fire up and they wait on Paris. Paris staggers into 3K!! Cover, RPG Vice wins!

From London to Paris, everyone knows Roppongi Vice is back! Though, Yoh would rather show the dancing pecks then high five. Will Yoh & Rocky take over NJPW now that they’re together again?

2024 Super Junior Tag League B Block: Taiji Ishimori & Robbie X VS Ninja Mack & The DKC!

The Bone Soldier Reborn recruited England’s King of the Cruiserweights to Bullet Club, and they’re ready to make the NJPW Junior Heavyweight Tag Division Just Too Sweet! Will we see It’s Reborn? Or will these American Ninjas start the climb to the top?

Oddly, Mack and DKC seem to argue over who should start. They compete by having the fans chant, “NINJA! NINJA!” or “D K C! D K C!” Mack admits, DKC has the crowd, so DKC starts against Taiji. The bell rings, the fans rally, and the two feel things out. DKC goes for a leg but Taiji slips around to waistlock. DKC switches, Taiji switches to hammerlock, but DKC drop toeholds. DKC floats to a facelock, Taiji rolls to wrench and wristlock. DKC rolls, kips up, and wrenches back. Taiji grits his teeth, rolls, wrenches and hammerlocks. DKC headlocks in return to hit the takeover. Taiji headscissors, DKC kips free, and the fans applaud.

Taiji and DKC reset, knuckle lock, but then Taiji kicks low! Taiji CLAWS DKC’s eyes, but Red shoes reprimands. Taiji whips DKC corner to corner, but DKC goes up and over. DKC handsprings, SOBATS, KICKS and LEG LARIATS! Then D K C FALLING CHOP! Cover, TWO! The fans applaud as DKC keeps moving. But then Mack tags in? DKC and Mack aren’t on the same page, and that lets Taiji tag in Robbie. Robbie tells DKC & Mack to fight each other already. Robbie then throws his shirt at DKC, but Mack hits a headlock takeover. Robbie stands up, powers out, but Mack runs him over! Robbie gets up to flip Mack off!

Mack headlocks for a takeover, but Robbie headscissors. Mack kips free, both men stand, and Mack waistlocks to wrangle Robbie. Robbie fights up, switches, but Mack slips under to waistlock and SLAM! The fans applaud and Mack clamps onto an arm. Robbie fights up, wrenches through, and he hits an ELBOW BREAKER! Robbie has the wristlock now but Mack fights up. Mack goes for ropes but Robbie reel shim in. Mack rolls, handsprings, breaks free and headlocks. Robbie powers up and out, drops down, but Mack rolls. Mack whips, hurdles, back ahdnsprings, but Robbie gets in his face! The fans cheer the standoff.

Robbie KCIKS, Mack KICKS, repeat! They both KICK and KICK, then Mack blocks a kick! Mack trips Robbie, steps on him, and gets in Taiji’s face! The fans applaud, but Robbie O’Conner Rolls! TWO, but Robbie SOBATS! Robbie tags Taiji, and Bullet Club double whip Mack to the corner. Taiji runs in, but into a BOOT! Mack CHOPS Robbie, KICKS Taiji, repeat! DOUBLE CHOPS for Robbie, DOUBLE CHOPS for Taiji! The fans fire up with Mack and he puts Taiji on ropes. Taiji blocks the whip, but Mack fires off CHOP after CHOP! Mack whips, Taiji reverses, but Mack holds ropes. Taiji runs up, but Mack TOSSES him out!

Taiji & Robbie regroup, the fans fire up, and Mack builds speed! Mack handsprings, but into a DOUBLE NECKBREAKER! Robbie BOOTS DKC, Taiji kicks Mack out of the ring. Taiji SMACKS Mack off the commentary desk! Robbie CLAWS DKC’s face! Taiji SMACKS Mack with a fan’s toy sword! Then Taiji CHOKES Mack with it! Red Shoes reprimands, Taiji stops, but Robbie is there to drag Mack up and into the ring. Robbie holds Mack down so Taiji can CLAW at Mack’s face through his mask! Taiji snapmares Mack by the ropes, then goes to the apron. Taiji slingshots to ELBOW DROP! Robbie adds a stalling slingshot SENTON! Cover, TWO!

Mack stays in this but Taiji tags Robbie. Robbie stalks Mack to ropes, claws at the mask, then brings Mack up to DECK him! Robbie taunts Mack, then digs his boots in at the corner. Red Shoes reprimands Robbie, and we see Taiji has wedged the blue buckle pad out of the way. Robbie bumps Mack off the bare buckle and Red Shoes reprimands again. Robbie mocks DKC with a crane stance, then tags Taiji. Taiji drags Mack up to snapmare, and he goes after the mask! The fans boo, Red Shoes reprimands, and then counts. Taiji stops, then drags Mack up. Taiji CLUBS Mack down, then clamps on a CROSSFACE!

Mack flails, reaches out, fights forward, and has the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer and Taiji lets go. Tag to Robbie and Robbie drags Mack up. Robbie clinches but Mack fires body shots! Mack RIDER KICKS Taiji away! Robbie kicks Mack, whips, but Mack reverses, Robbie hits bare buckle! But Robbie still runs past Mack to HANDSPRING KICK DKC?! Robbie drags Mack up, TOSSES him to the blue corner, and the fans rally up again. Taiji CHOKES Mack in the ropes! Robbie storms over, taunts Mack, then CHOKES him on the ropes! Red Shoes counts, Robbie stops, and the fans rally up. Robbie whips Mack, but Mack reverses.

Robbie wrenches Mack into a COBRA TWIST! Mack endures, fights, but Robbie almost has him in an octopus stretch! Mack powers up, and hip tosses Robbie away! Robbie runs up, but Mack gets around to GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up, but Taiji tags in. Taiji stomps Mack down, headlocks, but Mack SNAP SAIDOS! The fans fire up, Mack crawls, hot tag to DKC! DKC dodges Taiji, ELBOWS Robbie, then CHOPS away on Taiji! DKC kicks low, reels Mack in, but Robbie stops the suplex! Robbie kicks DKC, he and Taiji double suplex! But DKC lands out! DKC dodges Robbie to RIDGEHAND!

DKC BOOTS Taiji, snapmares Robbie, and runs up, and uses Robbie to get up and TRIPLE KICK Taiji away, before hitting a NECKBREAKER DROP on Robbie! The fans fire up with DKC and he GAMANGIRIS Taiji in a corner! Taiji is now in a drop zone, DKC goes corner to corner to go up and SOMERSAULT SENTON! DKC then DIVES to take out Robbie! The fans fire up more as DKC climbs a corner. DKC FLYING RIDER KICKS! Cover, TWO! Taiji survives but the fans rally. DKC calls his shot, and he drags Taiji up! CHOP, CHOP, CHOP, over and over and over, then D K C- NO, Taiji denies him the fire!

Taiji CLAWS DKC’s eyes, whips, but DKC reverses. Taiji handsprings to NEURALIZER KICK! Both men are down and the fans rally up. DKC goes to an open corner, Taiji tags in Robbie. Robbie runs in but DKC BOOTS! Taiji runs in, he blocks boots, and Taiji puts DKC in the ropes. Robbie ENZIGIRIS DKC and Taiji hits the SLIDING GERMAN! Robbie drags DKC to the cover, TWO!! DKC survives and the fans fire up! Robbie drags DKC into the drop zone, goes up the corner, and fans rally, as Mack SHOVES Robbie down! Mack then builds speed to NINJA SPECIAL! Down goes Robbie and the fans fire up again!

Mack puts Robbie in, but Taiji LARIATS Mack! DKC catches Robbie for CHOP, CHOP, CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! D K C FIRE!! Cover, Taiji breaks it in time! Taiji drags DKC up while fans rally again. DKC CHOPS Taiji, CHOPS Robbie, repeat! CHOP, CHOP, CHOP and then KICK- NO, Taiji blocks! Robbie sweeps the leg, then runs! He and Taiji wheelbarrow, VICTORY SPLASH! And then ASSISTED MOONSAULT! Cover, Ninja Mack breaks it! The fans fire up, but Taiji CLUBS DKC. DKC BODY SHOTS Taiji! The four men stand, they trade forearms, but Mack & DKC have Bullet Club surrounded! They BOOT, KICK, and power up!

But Robbie drop toeholds Mack as Taiji ducks, DKC’s HEEL KICK takes out Mack!! Robbie kips up to PELE! Taiji JUMP KNEES DKC, and Robbie feeds DKC to a scoop. Robbie goes up as Taiji hits CIPHER UTAKI! Robbie hits the X-CESS! Cover, Bullet Club wins!

DKC may be The Eternal, but he could not survive long after taking that combination attack. Will Bullet Club X out the rest of the block and take over the Super Junior Tag League?

2024 Super Junior Tag League B Block: Intergalactic Jet Setters VS Catch 2/2!

Kushida & Kevin Knight, the NEW IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, come into this tournament with targets on their back. Will they make it through the first round at top speed? Or can TJP & Francesco Akira stop them right at the start?

The teams sort out and Knight starts against Akira. The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They feel things out, tie up, and Knight powers Akira to ropes. Red Shoes counts the break, Knight says, “Tsuyoi! <Strong!>” Knight steps back, the two reset, and they tie up again. Knight powers Akira back again, but Akira turns things around. Akira lets off a bit tenser, and then takes a swing! Knight dodges, and Akira says it was that close. Knight tells Akira to chill, and they reset again. They feel out a knuckle lock, and Knight says he’s very, very, very strong! But then Akira stomps Knight’s foot and says, “Urusei! <Shut up!>”

Akira reels Knight in and says he’s strong, too! But Akira can’t scoop Knight! Knight scoops Akira, but Akira slips free. Akira waistlocks, Knight switches then floats to a headlock. Akira powers up and out, but Knight runs him over! The fans cheer, and Knight says he IS that strong! Knight runs, goes up and over Akira, then bypasses to hurdle. Akira avoids the dropdown, but Knight switches the waistlock. Akira jumps to arm-drag free, then runs up. Akira ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl RANA! Knight stands, both men go to scoop! Knight manages the scoop and the SLAM! The fans fire up and Knight brings Akira up again.

Knight wrenches Akira’s arm, tags Kushida, and Kushida wrenches the arm. Akira escapes, and TJP tags in. The fans applaud as Time Splitter and Public Enemy circle. They tie up, Kushida rolls back to wrench and wristlock. TJP rolls, spins, cartwheels, drops and TWISTING HEADSCISSORS! The fans cheer while TJP keeps on the squeeze. Kushida fights up, stacks TJP, TWO as TJP bridges! Kushida pushes TJP away, knees low, then CHOPS! Kushida whips, TJP slides under and waistlocks. Akira runs to BLAST Knight! TJP ROCKS Kushida, then Catch 2/2 double whips. TJP SOBATS, Akira KICKS and TJP kicks out a leg!

Akira runs to basement SHOTGUN Kushida! The fans fire up as Catch 2/2 put up the crowns. Akira runs, then hops up on TJP. Take pictures! But Knight runs in! Catch 2/2 avoid his dropkick then double whip, to double HIP TOSS! FIST DROP! BASEMENT BLOCKBUSTER! Akira says HE is tsuyoi! The fans fire up again and TJP puts Kushida in the corner. Tag to Akira, and Catch 2/2 mug Kushida. Akira CHOPS, then eggs Kushida on. Akira CHOPS again, eggs Kushida on more, then CHOPS again. Akira whips, Kushida reverses, and Kushida runs up, but Akira goes up and over! TARANTULA! Kushida is caught but Red Shoes counts.

Akira lets go at 3, brings Kushida up, and he snapmares Kushida down. Tag to TJP, and they try this again. Akira hops up, take picture! ELEVATED SENTON! Cover, TWO! TJP stays cool as he stalks Kushida to ropes. TJP brings Kushida up, whips him to ropes, but Kushida reverses. Knight trips TJP and Kushida PENALTY KICKS TJP’s arm! TJP writhes, Kushida brings him up, and Kushida TOSSES TJP out. Knight puts TJP in the corner and SLAMS the bad arm into the post! Knight pulls on the arm, lets off as Red Shoes reprimands, and Kushida brings TJP up. Kushida wrenches TJP, wrangles him, then drops a knee on the arm!

Kushida tags Knight, Knight wrenches TJP and hits an ELBOW BREAKER! And another ELBOW BREAKER! Knight drops a KNEE on the arm, then runs to SLIDING SHOULDER TACKLE! Knight flexes, the fans cheer, and then Knight covers, TWO! Knight drags TJP up, wrenches, and hands TJP off to Kushida for a HOTSHOT! Kushida steps in, drags TJP up, but TJP fires forearms! Kushida KICKS TJP’s arm! TJP falls over, the fans rally, and Kushida brings TJP up. Kushida snapmares to scrape soles off TJP’s face! Kushida then cartwheels to basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! TJP stays in this, but Kushida stays on him.

Kushida wrenches TJP, hits another ELBOW BREAKER, and TJP goes to the ropes. Kushida storms up, sucker punches Akira, then brings TJP up. Kushida whips, TJP goes Spider-Man, and he ELBOWS Knight! TJP slides under Kushida, catches him, EYE OF THE HURRICANE! Both men are down, the fans rally up, and both men crawl, hot tags to Akira and Knight! Akira dodges Knight to come back and RANA! The fans fire up while Knight tumbles out, and Akira PLANCHAS! Down goes Knight and the fans fire up again! Akira drags Knight into the ring, and Akira shouts, “IKU ZO!” But Kushida runs up!

Akira jumps Kushida’s slide to mule kick! Akira then climbs a corner to leap and CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! The fans rally with “A! KI-RA! A! KI-RA!” TJP joins in, Catch 2/2 double whip Knight to a corner. TJP runs in to ELBOW! Akira runs in, DROPKICK! Knight sits down, and the fans cheer as TJP scrubs Knight’s face with the laces! TJP goes side to side, for the BOOT WASH! TJP has the fans fired up for more, then he Electric Chair Lifts! Akira climbs, but Knight slips free! Knight TOSSES TJP out, catches Akira, and goes SKY HIGH! Both men are down and the fans rally, hot tag to Kushida!

Kushida runs up to PENALTY KICK Akira’s arm! Kushida KICKS away on that arm, but Akira blocks on. Kushida hits an ARMBAR TAKEDOWN! Knight intercepts TJP and drags him out! Kushida CLUBS Akira’s hands while Knight runs to WRECK TJP with a dropkick! PLANCHA from Knight! the fans fire up and Knight flexes, “TSUYOI~!” Akira is in the ARMBAR! They roll, Akira has the ROPEBREAK! Kushida lets go and calls to Knight. The Jet Setters set up, Electric Chair Lift for Akira. But Akira slips free! Akira blocks Knight’s kick, hands it to Kushida, and TJP SUPERKICKS Kushida! Knight dodges TJP to DROPKICK!

Akira SUPERKICKS Knight! Akira also dodges the Masahiro Tanaka Fastball, but Kushida PELES back! All four men are down and the fans fire up again! The Jet Setters go to one end of the ring, Catch 2/2 in the other. Knight runs in but TJP goes up and over! TORNADO DDT! The fans fire up as TJP climbs the corner! But Kushida HANDSPRING KICKS, but TJP blocks! Akira basement DROPKICKS Kushida! Knight runs up, hurdles right over Akira, and jumps at TJP! UPPER ROOM and TJP flies into Akira! The fans fire up again as Kushida storms up on Akira. Kushida scoops Akira, Knight runs, CROSSBODY DDT COMBO! Cover, TJP breaks it!

The fans fire up again but Kushida sets up in the corner. Knight tags him in, and the Jet Setters drag TJP up. They whip, TJP reverses, but Kushida slides out to taunt TJP! Knight springboards to DOUBLE FLYING LARIAT Catch 2/2! The fans fire up again as Knight aims at Akira in a corner. Kushida joins in, SPLASH ENZIGIRI COMBO! Tag to Kushida and Knight goes up. Kushida turns Akira, but TJP SHOVES Kushida out! Knight leaps into DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! TJP runs to WRECK Kushida with a dropkick! Akira pops Knight up, TIGER GERMAN! Bridging cover, TWO!! Knight survives and the fans fire up!

Akira waits on Knight, the fans clap along, “A! KI-RA!” NOVA FIRE- NO, Knight ducks it! Knight BOOTS, Akira ROUNDHOUSES, but Knight ROCKS Akira! Akira wobbles, into the SPIKE- NO, Akira RAMS Knight into the corner! TJP runs in now, and he gets a boost from Akira to DROPKICK Knight! Akira climbs, TJP Electric Chair Lifts Knight! LEANING TOWER!! Cover, KUSHIDA BREAKS IT!! Kushida manages it in time, and he fires off on Catch 2/2! They hit back, double whip, but Kushida handsprings. But TJP catches him! Akira SUPERKICKS Kushida, TJP adds a SOBAT, and then Akira SNAP GERMANS Kushida down!

Akira fires up and the fans are with him! He has Knight for SPEED FIRE!! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives and the fans fire up again! Catch 2/2 set up, they take aim, and Knight sits up into 2-BY-2!! Catch 2/2 wins!!

Winners: Catch 2/2, by pinfall (gain 2 points, Intergalactic Jet Setters earn 0)

Kushida & Knight might be upset about this, but this isn’t really an upset when Catch 2/2 are three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Is time already running out on the Intergalactic Jet Setters? Or can they pick up speed and take us back to the future?

As for TJP & Akira, they get the mic, and fans cheer for “T J! T J! T J!” TJP starts with, “Buongiorno.” TJP apologizes, that’s Italian. “Buenas noches.” No, wait, not even his gimmick. “Mabuhay.” No, that’s Tagalog. “Good evening.” Closer. “Konbanwa!” The fans cheer now that TJP found the Japanese phrase. TJP asks if they had fun, and the fans applaud. He asks again, did they have fun? The fans cheer more, because they did. “Okay desu.” Akira takes the mic now and he tells Kanagawa in Japanese to forgive him, he only knows so much Japanese. Is that okay? The fans applaud.

Akira says, “Mazu a, okairi. <First of all, welcome home.>” TJP replies, “Hai. <Yes.>” Akira continues in Japanese, that it’s been a long time since they’ve seen him, and yet they are still one of the best. TJP again says, “Hai.” Akira says not only that, but they just pinned the champs! The fans cheer that, and Akira says Catch 2/2 will be on top again! TJP & Akira, Catch 2/2, The United Empire, will conquer the Tag League! The fans cheer as Akira drops the mic, will Catch 2/2 be the ones to turn back time and be champions again?

My Thoughts:

A really good night for Tag League, but something about B Block feels like it is the lesser block. These are all great wrestlers, but only the main event had teams that were strongly established before this tournament. It is great to see Yoh & Rocky bring back the Roppongi Vice name, also going by “Roppongi Revise,” and they got a great match out of The VeloCities, but London & Paris are still very new to NJPW. The same goes for Taiji & Robbie X, that team only started last week at Royal Quest, and while they’ve already got great chemistry, they’ll need time for the fans to get behind the combination. Same goes for Mack & DKC, but I do appreciate they played up dysfunction being that new of a combo.

Catch 2/2 VS Jet Setters was a great main event, and I’m a little surprised Catch 2/2 won. Not that surprised, because TJP & Akira are former champions. They had the belts to start the year, though they lost to Connors & Drilla just a month into that reign. I suppose the reason Catch 2/2 won was because they wanted to defy the expectation that the new champs would start the tournament strong. Now the Jet Setters are now going to fight uphill to win the block. Though, I don’t think they’ll be winning Tag League anyway, that’s not usually what happens with champs in tournaments.

Mi nombre es Hangman.” And he asks they excuse his Espanol, it isn’t the best. But Hangman knows that like most White people, he’ll do his best. His familia used to grow tobacco, and they were hard workers. And they had employees who were hard workers, from right here in Mexico City. Those men were also like family! He is thankful that the people of Mexico have invited AEW into their home tonight! The fans cheer, and Hangman thanks them for the collaboration of AEW & CMLL. This is the best pro-wrestling in the world!

Hangman continues by saying that he also wants to make it known about AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, that while Hangman is not wrestling tonight, and that he is not allowed ringside later tonight for the main event… He will find Moxley after! And Excalibur apologizes, the last part definitely can’t be translated for the sake of the broadcast. The fans still cheer Hangman on, they wanna see that #CowboyS*it. Hangman adds that once again, he is thankful for letting them be here in Arena Mexico. Now, let the action begin! The fans cheer as Hangman heads out, will The Cowboy get his hands on The Maniac before the night is over?

14 Man Tag: Hechicero, Volador Jr, Dax Harwood & The Don Callis Family VS Adam Cole, Brody King, Daniel Garcia, Bandido, Templario, Atlantis Sr. & Atlantis Jr!

Well, they always say, “Card subject to change.” Cash Wheeler is not able to make it, but Lance Archer and “The Predator,” Volador Jr, take his place! Then on the other side, the OG Atlantis jumps in! Will things only end up crazier to start off Grand Slam?

As Dax Harwood & Stokely Hathaway make their way out, #BigStoke has a mic and he has them cut the music. Stokely has some good news and some bad news. Bad news: Due to circumstances beyond his control, Cash Wheeler cannot be here tonight. That’s the bad news. The good news is, one half of FTR is here tonight in the great Dax the Ax! And hey, Stokely has been working on his Espanol all day. “Grassy ass, thank you!” Still messed it up… But with that, the rest of Team Rudo make their way out, starting with Volador, followed by the Don Callis y Hechicero.

On the other side, ROH World Champion Bandido leads the way for his team, followed by Templario and the Atlantis father and son. Then Brody King and Daniel Garcia follow, saving TNT Champion, Adam Cole, for last! The fans join in for the “BOOM!” and “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” These massive teams sort out, and Bandido steps up against the Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita. The fans fire up behind the Most Wanted while he and Konosuke circle. They approach, Konosuke trips Bandido and things speed up. Bandido stays low, then hurdles, but Konosuke leaps over. Bandido dodges Konosuke, then he aims his finger gun!

The fans cheer as Konosuke says he has his eyes on Bandido, too. Konosuke kicks low, whips, but Bandido reverses. Bandido scoops right to a torture rack! X KNEE blocked, and Konosuke spins Bandido to back suplex. Bandido lands out, Konosuke mule kicks. Konosuke runs, but into a RANA! The fans fire up while Konosuke bails out. Bandido builds speed, but Hechicero steps in per lucha rules! The fans cheer these two, even duel, and then Hechi takes a swing. Bandido dodges, fires hands, but Hechi dodges and even goes Matrix! The fans fire up, Hechi scoops, Bandido slips free, but Hechi victory rolls to then INVERTED MONKEY FLIP!

Hechi catches Bandido into the REAR NAKED CHOKE, but Bandido rolls back! They both stand, Hechi wrenches Bandido and whips. Hechi runs up to STEP-UP KNEE! Bandido flops down and Hechi shows off the drop steps. Bandido bails out so Garcia runs in! Garcia whips, Hechi sunset flips, but Garcia rolls through, and does his dance! The fans are torn, but Hechi trips Garcia to have the legs! Hechi rolls and stacks Garcia, only for Garcia to activate the core! Garcia sits up, sunset flips, but Hechi blocks to spin Garcia! Garcia RANAS through! Hechi bails out, Dax storms in, and the fans boo.

Garcia fires forearms on Dax first, then backs him to a corner. The fans cheer as Garcia goes up, and he rains down fists! The fans count but Dax stops Garcia at cinco! Dax carries Garcia off the corner but Garcia fights free to DECK Dax! Garcia whips but Dax reverses and wrenches to short arm LARIAT! Garcia bails out so Atlantis Junior jumps in. Arena Mexico actually boos Junior, he’s apparently not as cool as Senior. Junior shrugs that off to run up on Dax. Dax puts Junior on the apron and Junior GAMANGIRIS! Junior slingshots, runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then SLINGBLADES! Cover, TWO!

Atlantis Junior tags Templario and the fans cheer again. Junior & Temp roll Dax into a wheelbarrow and Temp goes up to MISSILE DROPKICK Dax into the WHEELBARROW GERMAN! Temp covers, TWO! Templario hears the fans cheer him on, but Volador climbs up and CROSSBODIES! He takes down Temp & Junior, then ducks ‘n ‘dodges. Dax gives him a boost to DOUBLE DROPKICK! Dax whips Junior, Volador whips Templario, but they both duck to come back and DOUBLE RANA! Junior SUPERKICKS Dax, and fans boo! Volador SUPERKICKS Junior and fans cheer! Templario rises, and he circles with Volador.

Templario RIPS Volador’s Depredadores shirt and stomps on it! Then things speed up. Volador hurdles, Temp ducks then rolls off Voaldor’s back! Temp goes up, up, and RANAS! Volador bails out, and we get a TEMPLAROONI! Templario then handsprings to SASUKE SPECIAL! Direct hit on Volador, and now that lets Brody King step in. The fans bark and Dax realizes he’s alone with this Hound of Hell. Dax offers a handshake, but Brody CHOPS him down! Archer storms in as Dax scrambles out, and the Murderhawk Monster CLUBS Brody! The fans boo as Archer CLUBS away on Brody, then he soaks up the heat.

Archer whips, Josh Alexander gets a cheap shot in, but Brody swings on him for it! Alexander HOTSHOTS him in return! Archer choke grips, but Cole CHOPE BLOCKS! Cole & Brody RAM Archer into the Walking Weapon! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK! Brody goes out to get Alexander while Cole SHINING WIZARDS Archer down! Brody fireman’s carries Alexander, APRON DEATH VALLEY!! The fans are thunderous as now Kyle Fletcher steps in. Protostar and Panama City Playboy fire hands! Kyle knees low and fires off more knees! Kyle whips, Cole ducks ‘n’ dodges, and DOUBLE LARIATS collide!

Cole keeps going, he LARIATS again! Kyle wobbles, Cole tries a third time, but he runs into a SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kyle grins and soaks up heat, but here comes Atlantis Senior! The fans fire up as Senior ducks ‘n’ dodges and TACKLES Kyle! The fans fire up as Atlantis rains down fists! Kyle goes to a corner, Atlantis fires off more shots, then puts him in the other corner. Kyle turns things around, and are more fans cheering Kyle than Senior? Kyle runs up, Senior dodges and Junior GAMANGIRIS! Bandido SUPERKICKS Kyle! Templario JUMP KNEES Kyle! Brody CHOPS Kyle! Garcia BOOTS Kyle up and out!

The fans fire up as now Cole and the team gather together, and the fans cheer as all seven raise their hands! Bandido’s team is in control while Grand Slam goes picture in picture.

The ref has the team sort out and Bandido stays in. He goes out to fetch Dax, but Dax and Volador mug him! The rest of Bandido’s team goes to help him and it is a huge brawl! All 14 men are throwing hands, and Brody even DUMPS Kyle into the crowd! Archer puts Garcia in the ring so they’re legal now. Archer climbs up a corner to rain down fists! Garcia slips out before tres, trips Archer up, and he climbs up! Garcia rains down fists, and this time, Garcia makes it to siete before Archer picks him up and DROPS him on the top buckle! Archer mocks Garcia’s dance, then he drags Garcia up to whip him hard into the Rudo corner.

Archer taunts Bandido, goes back to Garcia, and stands on him at the ropes! The ref reprimands, Archer steps off, and Garcia gets up to fire forearms! Archer ROCKS him in return! Hechicero tags in and he fires hands on Garcia! The ref counts, Hechi stops at quatro and powers up his alchemy. Then he drags Garcia up, only for Garcia to fire hands! Garcia runs, but Hechi scoops him for a BEARHUG! And a SPINNING BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Hechi is upset but dos es dos. Hechi drags Garcia up, wrenches his arm, and tags in Alexander. They mug Garcia and Grand Slam returns to single picture.

Mexico cheers on Hechicero, but alexander RAMS Garcia and lifts, only for Garcia to fight it! TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Both men are down and the fans rally up! Garcia crawls, reaches out, but Alexander grabs at his foot! Garcia still fights to hot tag Bandido! The fans fire up as Bandido fires forearms with Alexander back and forth! Bandido gets the edge and the fans cheer, only for Alexander to knee low! Alexander runs, but Bandido gorilla presses him! And then SLAMS him down! The fans fire up more, and Bandido goes up, up, and Latino Heat, but Alexander is right up after him! SUPER BELLY2BELLY! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up but Alexander hurries to get Bandido up. Konosuke climbs and Alexander Electric Chair Lifts Bandido! But Bandido slips down, shoves Alexander into Konosuke, and then he sends Alexander to Templario for a SUPERKICK! Templario puts Alexander up top, then he and Bandido climb! They have Konosuke and Alexander on the very top, for STEREO MOONSAULT POWERSLAMS!! Stereo covers, TWO!! Both Alexander and Konosuke survive but Temp & Bandido high-five. But then Kyle SUPERKICKS Templario! Bandido fires hands, runs, but Kyle LARIATS Bandido! Atlantis Junior SUPERKICKS Kyle!

Junior goes up, up, but Alexander SHOVES him down! Alexander then goes out after Junior while Kyle rises. Atlantis Junior fights to BACKDROP Alexander into the ring! Junior goes up the ramp, runs back down, and he CROSSBODIES Kyle & Alexander! The teams rush in, it is a brawl, but then Bandido’s team puts Kyle, Alexander, Konosuke and Volador in corners! The fans cheer as Bandido, Junior, Garcia and Cole rain down fists! The fans count along, and finally, we get all the way to DIEZ! En total, cuarenta! The fans cheer as Bandido’s team tosses the rudos out, and then Junior DIVES to take out Konosuke! Konosuke stays up, so Templario DIVES onto him, too!

Garcia and Alexander brawl their way up the ramp and to the back, and the same for Cole with Kyle! Bandido ASAI MOONSAULTS Volador! Archer storms into the ring to meet Brody! The fans bark for these behemoths and the forearms fly! Archer throat chops, runs, but into a forearm! Brody roars and runs, but into a forearm! Archer roars and runs, but then fakes Brody out! But Brody deflects the boot to run and CLOBBER Archer! Archer tumbles out, but here comes Hechi! FLYING ELBOW! Hechi stomps away on Brody and the fans fire up! The Alchemist whips, Brody blows through the lariat to RANA?!?

Hechi tumbles out while fans bark, and Brody builds speed to DIVE!! The supersized tope takes out Hechi AND Konosuke! But that leaves Dax with Atlantis Senior. And Senior has been owing Dax a beating since last week! The hands fly, the fans fire up, and Senior gets the edge! But Dax kicks low! Dax CLUBS Senior, kicks away, and the fans are cheering!? Dax is all fired up, and he drags Senior up to bring him around. But Senior drags him into a cradle! Team Bandido wins!!

Winners: Adam Cole, Brody King, Daniel Garcia, Bandido, Templario, Atlantis Sr. & Atlantis Jr, by pinfall

But Dax attacks anyway! What a sore loser! But Arena Mexico doesn’t seem to care?! Junior and the other luchadores run Dax off, and Stokely says keep them back! Will things just have to end here? Or will both father and son get payback on FTR soon enough?

Kazuchika Okada w/ Don Callis VS Mark Briscoe!

The Rainmaker has a Winner Takes All match with long-time rival, Kenny Omega, but he crossed a line! Not only has Okada joined Don Callis just to stick it to The Cleaner, but Okada hospitalized Omega with a brutal attack to the stomach! Will the Sussex County Chicken get a semblance of revenge on Omega’s behalf? Or will Okada make it rain in Arena Mexico?

The fans are fired up for Okada while he and Briscoe get face to face. The ref has them back away to their corners, then the bell rings. Okada and Briscoe step up again, then Briscoe shoves Okada! Okada bails out and the fans boo. Briscoe waits on Okada while commentary tells Callis he and Okada committed the most despicable thing in all of wrestling. Callis of course says it was the most shrewd tactical move in the history of wrestling. Okada takes his time returning into the ring, and then he circles with Briscoe. They tie up and are in a deadlock. They go around, Okada puts Briscoe on the ropes, but he lets off slowly.

Okada fakes the chop, and pats Briscoe on the shoulders. The fans are torn, but Briscoe kicks Okada and TOSSES him! The fans cheer as Briscoe builds speed, but Okada steps aside so Briscoe can’t dive. Briscoe gives chase, though, and they go around the outside. They slide back in, and Okada CLOBBERS Briscoe! The fans are torn as Okada CLUBS away. Okada fires forearms, storms up to stomp Briscoe in the corner, and then ELBOWS him! The fans are torn but Okada brings Briscoe around for a BIG back suplex. But Briscoe lands out, and hits the Crane Stance! Okada takes a swing, Briscoe ducks, and Briscoe CHOPS!

Briscoe whips, Okada reverses, but Briscoe slides under the boot! Crane Stance! Crane feint, then the CRANE KICK! The fans fire up as Briscoe stands up in his Redneck Kung-Fu stance. Briscoe stands Okada up to ROCK with a haymaker, then ROCKS him again. Okada staggers, Briscoe is on him with a CHOP! The fans “WOO~” and Callis acknowledges those heavy hands of Briscoe’s. Briscoe bumps Okada off buckles, stomps a mudhole, then stops as the ref counts 4. Briscoe then grinds his forearm into Okada’s face! The ref counts again, Briscoe stops at 4, and he whips corner to corner. Okada reverses but Briscoe goes up and out.

Okada runs up but Briscoe blocks a shot to ROCK Okada! Briscoe then RAMS into Okada, throws him out of the ring, and then DIVES! Direct hit and the fans fire up! Briscoe high-fives the front row before he puts Okada in the ring. Okada goes to a corner, Briscoe runs up and LARIATS! Briscoe goes corner to corner again, but Okada BOOTS him! Briscoe just fires up! Okada dodges this time, and he hoists Briscoe up to DROPKICK him down to the floor! The fans fire up while Grand Slam goes picture in picture.

Okada waits while Briscoe is down and out. A ring count starts, Briscoe stirs, but then Okada goes out to fetch Briscoe. Briscoe fires body shots but Okada kicks low! DDT to the floor! Okada leaves Briscoe behind and the ring count starts again. Briscoe rises up, leans on commentary, and he tells Callis off before he goes to the ring at 6 of 10. Okada is on Briscoe with another DDT! Cover, TWO! Briscoe toughs it out and Okada is annoyed. Okada stalks Briscoe to a corner, but Briscoe kicks low! Okada ELBOWS Briscoe, whips corner to corner, then runs in and ELBOWS Briscoe down! Okada paces while soaking up cheers and jeers.

Okada goes back to Briscoe and drags him up. Okada reels Briscoe in, turns him, and hits a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Briscoe is still in this and he rises up. Okada is on him with a chinlock and bends him back! Briscoe endures as Okada leans on the hold, and Briscoe fights around to stand back up. But Okada drags Briscoe back down! Briscoe still fights, Grand Slam returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. Briscoe rises again, fires body shots, then runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Okada hits a FLAPJACK! Okada is ice cold while the fans fire up. Okada brings Briscoe up, gut wrenches, but Briscoe fights to a victory roll! TWO!

Okada runs up, Briscoe waistlocks, but Okada switches. Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Briscoe pounds the mat and the fans rally. Briscoe rises, Okada stands, and they throw forearms back and forth! Briscoe ROCKS Okada, and Okada comes back to CLAW Briscoe’s eyes! Okada whips, but Briscoe reverses and CHOPS! Briscoe fires forearms, then whips. Okada reverses but Briscoe FLYING FOREARMS! The fans fire up again and both men rise up. Briscoe winds up to LARIAT in the corner! Briscoe brings Okada out to a FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up as Okada stays in this! Briscoe clutches his neck but he brings Okada back up. Okada fights the clinch, the fans duel, and Okada puts Briscoe on ropes. Okada whips, Briscoe FLIPS through the backdrop! The fans fire up and Okada thinks it is for him. But he turns around into a REDNECK UPPERCUT! Briscoe runs in at the corner, but Okada pops him up to the Alabama Lift! REVERSE NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up again and Okada scoops to SLAM! Standard formula, Okada goes up the corner! MACHO ELBOW! Then Okada winds it up, and gives the Rainmaker MIDDLE FINGER~!

Okada grins, but Briscoe grabs that finger to BITE IT! The fans fire up and the ref reprimands, but Briscoe BITES more! Then EXPLODER! Briscoe drags Okada to a drop zone, climbs up top, and FROGGY-BOW! Cover, TWO!! The fans fire up as Okada survives! Briscoe calls his shot and he underhooks Okada! But Okada BACKDROPS free! Briscoe is right up, swings, but Okada dodges to then backslide! Roll through, but Briscoe dodges the lariat, only for the DROPKICK to hit!
